the crowds are screaming for him, and you don’t blame him. he’s grinning from ear to ear, the sunlight bathing him in gold. a trophy in one hand, a bottle of champagne in the other. despite being drenched in the champagne spray, his hair still falls perfectly into place.

the fans scream, the photographers catch picture after picture, the journalists scramble for the smallest word from him. you always feel that sense of possession creeping back in then. everybody wants him.

It’s the first race back from the summer break, Seb’s coming back on a high. Not only had he won the last 3 races prior to the race but you two had gotten married over the break so that plus the race wins, today was going to be a good day for him, he can feel it. 

Sebastian had done exactly what he set out to do. 

P1 from start to finish, holding his position like his life depended on it. You watched your husband up on the podium, he flashed you a smile, winking at you before climbing up on the top step.

You were so proud of him, you always were but today was the first race you had been there for as Mrs. Sebastian Vettel. Your heart swells with pride and joy as you watched him raise the trophy over his head. 

After his press docket and whatnot, he returned to the motorhome where he found you curled up on the couch, reading. “How come you didn’t come find me ?” He asks, watching you keep reading. 

“Y/n?” he calls for you. He walks over, grabbing your chin which pulled you away from your book finally. 

“What Sebastian ?” 

“Oh, what’s with the attitude?” He asks, pulling the book away from you. “Give me back the book,” you stood, reaching for the book he pulls behind his back. 

“No, tell me why you didn’t come find me after the race.” You were usually at parc ferme for him, waiting for him after the podium as well but both times you weren’t there. 

“I was tired, it’s hot outside if you haven’t noticed.” you point out, sitting back on the couch. Seb tosses the book next to you, pulling you up before hoisting you over his shoulder like you weighted nothing. 

“Sebastian!” you smack his back as he drops you onto the bed. Seb gets on top of you, pulling his blue shirt off. “Strip tease? Lucky me.” you smile, propping your arms behind your head. 

“You’d like that, little weirdo.” he laughs and you roll your eyes. “I’m weird ? Who rips every set I took with us on the honeymoon because they wouldn't wait for me to take it off.” 

“Listen, that's not my fault. I promised to buy them back for you.” He says, kissing you, undoing the knot on your wrap dress.

Summary: Sebastian is about to go to another movie premiere and offers to take Y/N and a misunderstanding occurs & Sebastian fixes it

(Sebastian’s POV)

I was getting ready for another movie premiere and I was really excited because I was gonna invite my girlfriend Y/N and she’s never been to a premiere with me yet and I know she’s always wanted to and I always felt bad I haven’t had her come with me to one yet. I got my suit on and went to find Y/N and saw her in her hoodie and sweatpants and said “Y/N, darling wanna go to the premiere with me tonight? Y/N looked at me with an upset look and said “really.. you didn’t have to rub it in.” She started crying and I noticed she thought I was being sarcastic and I felt so guilty even more when I made my girl cry, I never wanna be the reason she’s upset. I hugged her and said “doll I wouldn’t ever treat you like that Y/N, I was serious I want you to be by my side tonight. Listen doll, I know in the past we were keeping this private but I thought about it and I love you so much and you shouldn’t be a secret ok? I wanna show you off and honestly going alone wouldn’t be fun knowing you’re here at home by yourself.” I kissed her and smiled at her and said “so what do you say Y/N? Would you come with me?” She smiled and said “of course Seb! I love you too and I would to, I’ll go get ready.”

(Y/N’s POV)

I was putting on my favorite red dress and doing my makeup feeling so excited about going to a movie premiere for the first time, though I was really anxious about being in front of a lot of cameras but I knew as long as I had Sebastian by my side that I’d be ok. After I finished getting ready I walked out to where Sebastian was waiting and he looked at me crying and came over and said “wow.. Y/N you look beautiful! I love that dress on you.” I was overthinking and said “yea?.. I look ok? You sure?” He smiled and kissed me and said “doll you look amazing, you look perfect in anything, ready?” I blushed and saw his hand ready for mine and I put my hand in his and we got in the car.

We got to the place and Seb squeezed my hand seeing me looking anxious about the cameras and said “hey, I’m right here doll don’t worry it’ll go fast I promise I’ll be by you the whole time plus we’ll have some friends here with us too.” I breathed and said “ok, I’m ready.” Seb got out with me and we walked over to where his assistant wanted us for photos and we smiled and had a lot of people asking us questions and Sebastian kept bragging about me and I heard him say “oh Y/N here, she’s the love of my life and the one who always supported what I do and I love her so much I wouldn’t be here with her.” I blushed when he smiled at me and we kept walking around I was so proud of how far he’s come and just knowing he was serious about us made me love him more.

Sebastian whispered “ready to go home doll?” I nodded feeling tired and he took my hand and we went home. We both got changed and I went to cuddle with him on the couch and he put his arm around me and said “so did you have fun Y/N?” I smiled and said “I did that was really fun tonight, thank you for inviting me to join you babe.” Sebastian kissed my forehead and said “sweetheart it’s my pleasure, I hope you’ll come with me more often I mean it, I’m happy more often when you’re with me, I hope you know how much you mean to me darling.” I cuddled closer to him and smiled up at him and said “and I love you more Sebastian, I’d be honored to be by your side for anything I’m not going anywhere.” Sebastian lifted my chin up and leaned in to kiss me passionately and said “neither am I sweetheart I promise, let’s get some sleep now we had a long day.” I closed my eyes and Seb kissed my forehead and whispered “goodnight doll I love you forever.”

Jake was at the Hard Deck with Phoenix and Coyote watching the fresh batch of new recruits Menander around the bar. He nearly choked as he saw the familiar last name pinned to a strikingly familiar young man’s chest. your brother. All grown up, In uniform, not the 8 year old he’d play football with in the front yard. The boy saw him and his eyes widened and he immediately left his friends and made his way over to the older group. Phoenix and Coyote eyed him with confusion but Jake just stood up and pulled him to a hug.

the night ended and jake sat in his truck thumbing over the keyboard on his phone, typing out a sentence before deleting it and re-starting. he did this five times over until he settled on a simple text, thumb hovering over the send button. he inhaled deeply and then let out a shaky breath after he pressed the unforgiving button.

you were waiting by the airport gate and felt your phone buzz. assuming it would be your brother confirming the timings for tomorrow. you felt the wind sweep out from under your feet when you saw “jake x” light up your screen with the simplest of texts, but yet it still made your heart soar and feel like you had a million and one butterflies in your stomach.

2015 US GP

Okay so... if you’ve followed the story, I have like 75 gifs for this one GP. Hence it’s gonna be in 3 parts. Deal with it.

This one is prerace + the race + the cooldown room.

Good thing f1fullraces reuploaded the 2015 season because I couldn't find this GP anywhere at the time I downloaded the races. Uhhh… there's a weirdly high number of views for this race on the website? Did something happen? (Well I’m laughing very hard at past me being a dumbass retrospectively.)

Oh. It was a wet delayed quali. Nico is on pole again. Ohhhh right Lewis can win the title here if he beats Seb by 9 points and Nico by 2 points. It's not raining anymore but it looks wet and cold. 

Quali report. Actually the session was so delayed it took place on Sunday morning! Sainz spun and hit the wall. Seb almost lost it but just brushed the barrier. Ericsson also almost lost it but managed to keep it on track. Raikkonen as well. Jenson, Verstappen, Kvyat and Lewis all also went sideways at the same place. Q3 simply didn't take place. Too much rain. That's how Nico ended up on pole, with his Q2 time. 

Lewis is second on the grid though, followed by Daniel, Kvyat, Perez, Hulkenberg, Massa, Verstappen, Alonso and Grosjean. Where the fuck are the Ferraris?! Did they struggle that bad? Oh, they're 14th and 18th. That's bad.

Lewis says the fans have been amazing staying out in the rain. He hopes the weather stays OK so they can put on a good show for them. He doesn't love but doesn't mind the tricky conditions.

It'll be a hard race, probably the hardest this year. He's excited about it. About winning in America, he dodges the question about the title and says he's had the privilege of winning there a couple of times and the support has always been great. He says this weekend is definitely the most support he's ever had there so he hopes he can make everyone proud and he'll do his best out there. 

At the time, no British driver has won back to back titles which is hilarious retrospectively. Brundle agrees with Simon that in his opinion it would make him a legend of the sport. Then Simon points out that Lewis revels in the light and Hill admits that he had his doubts about it at the start of the season but Lewis definitely proved him wrong and he can do whatever he wants and still win. (Yeah. Shut up next time Hill.) They also agree that being a legend doesn't necessarily has to do with winning championships as some legends haven't won any. (But that's not something you need to worry about there you idiots.) 

One interesting statistic I wanna relay here because it's particularly relevant to our rewatch is : at that point he's won 42 times. Exactly half of these wins happened in a McLaren, over the course of 6 years. The other half, obviously, happened in a Mercedes, and that's his 3rd year with them. It tells you all there is to know about how bad McLaren was doing, and how bad he was doing at McLaren, and how actually genuinely dominant Mercedes is at this point. It could have gone very differently, had he not moved there and then. 

Also I think more generally (and I'm sorry I'm not trying to bring anyone down with this) it's noteworthy that McLaren was actually doing good and then they fucked up in 2009 with their terribly shit car and it took them actual years to climb back through the field. So. Yeah. Realistically. We might wanna keep that in mind in 2023. Unfortunately. 

Let's carry on. For a reason I cannot fathom they allowed Brundle to drive the W06. He himself says "believe it or not". Lewis asks if he's gonna ride Nico's or his. I don't understand the answer, but I think it's his, because that's the face he makes when he hears it.

Brundle asks how it is to drive it. Lewis thinks. "You're gonna be at Silverstone, it's gonna be probably cold, it's probably gonna be wet… if it's in the wet oh you're gonna have some fun" he says with a smile. Brundle chuckles. Cut to Silverstone. "Is that rain?" he asks. It is indeed. I don't care about him driving. I just paid attention because Lewis was there at first. But he's exclaiming, he can't believe the performance of this car, even in such conditions. He's baffled. 

Now the sun is coming out. 

Ohhhh actually I went to read the Wikipedia article and the Ferrari drivers got 10 place grid penalties because they changed their PUs, which makes a lot more sense than them doing this bad. Overall there were a lot of updates during this GP but the Mercs only added "ears" at the top of the airbox to improve the ERS cooling. 

The cars are on their way to the grid. We hear that Nico complained that there was something wrong with the front tyres. "They're not working at all". Someone answered him that it sounds like they're just cold. But they agree on front wing changes anyway. Lewis also says he feels like "the fronts are gonna take a beating." Nico is seen in deep conversation with the engineers. Lewis is also talking with one and Bono as well. We see Lewis an unusual lot on the grid. He walks around, checking out Nico's car from afar, it seems. 

They're all on inters. It's time. 

Formation lap. 

Lewis says it's drying out "real quickly."

And they're racing !

THE MERCS ARE WHEEL TO WHEEL RIGHT AWAY AND LEWIS FORCES NICO OFF THE TRACK AGAIN AND IT'S YELLOW FLAGS AT THE BACK WHILE NICO LOSES PLACES BUT THE REDBULL ARE COMING FOR LEWIS THEY HAVE BETTER GRIP! There's a lot of spray but Nico gained a place and is now attacking Daniel for P3 but he can't make it! The yellow flag keeps flashing on and off! Kvyat couldn't attack Lewis and the Mercs tyres must be warming up at the end of the first lap because they seem to have better control now. The top 10 reads Lewis, Kvyat, Ricciardo, Nico, Perez, Hulkenberg, Seb, Verstappen, Jenson, Raikkonen. It means the Ferraris gained 7 and 8 places respectively in one lap. That's more like it. Grosjean says he got hit and has a puncture. Alonso says he has a puncture. Valtteri is getting a new nose. I guess there were good reasons for that flashing yellow flag. Nasr is going around missing half of his front wing as well. Alright so the 2 Saubers collided, that explains Nasr's damage. A Marussia is retiring. There's debris on the track. It's slightly chaotic right now. We need replays. DRS gets enabled and Kvyat is in Lewis' range or rather Lewis is in Kvyat's range? Idk. Anyway, he also set the fastest lap so it might not be over yet. 

On the start replay we see the contact between Alonso and Massa (?) in the first corner. We see Lewis and Nico also touched wheels. Honestly it's the second time Lewis gets ahead that way and it's not pretty.

Kvyat is closing in on Lewis. There's a third way battle between Raikkonen, Hulkenberg and Sainz for P8. AND A VIRTUAL SAFETY CAR? What for? Oh the debris, maybe? Everything slows down. Kvyat overtook Lewis when Lewis slowed down for the VSC then let him back ahead. Similarly, it's unclear whether Sainz overtook Hulkenberg before the VSC or not. It's confusing. The VSC is indeed for the debris. It was getting dangerous, it was on the racing line. Lewis says it's slippery and asks if Nico's also complaining. Bono says the tyre temps are at the very top of their operating window. Valtteri retires. Crofty says Kvyat's overtake earlier was actually genuine and nothing to do with the safety car. Kvyat wonders why Lewis is so slow. Brundle thinks it's precisely because his tyres are overheating. The VSC is ending. Nico jumps Ricciardo. Brundle says he thinks Lewis is backing them up to bring "his team-mate into play a little bit" which. No probably not. So that's Kvyat 0.4 away, then Nico 0.4 further, and Daniel 0.8 down. Nico attacks, and overtakes Kvyat. Lewis needs to get away. Daniel : "how the fuck did Nico pass us?" Brundle thinks it's because Lewis was backing them up. I still don't believe so. Why would he. They won the constructor title already. 

Lap 10 : Lewis, Nico, Kvyat, Daniel. All less than one second away from each other. Perez, Seb, Verstappen, Raikkonen, Sainz, Hulkenberg. The inters are starting to fall off. Grosjean pits for the softs. Kvyat is closing in on Nico but can't attack. Grosjean just went wide ahead of Lewis on his dry tyres. Lewis is starting to pull away slightly, getting Nico out of his DRS zone. Grosjean retires. Kvyat attacks but goes wide and Daniel seizes the occasion and gets ahead of his team-mate! And right away, he slips past Nico as well! He's frantic on the radio. "That was not a safe coming back onto the track!" he claims. We see a replay. Nico swerved away when Kvyat joined back but uh. I don't know. I don't think there was an imminent collision there. Raikkonen is pissed as well : "why don't I get the DRS if I'm up so close?!" Sainz got ahead of him. Daniel sets the fastest lap. He's only 0.2 behind Lewis! Ffffuck. But Lewis widens the gap again. Raikkonen got back ahead of Sainz but they damn near collided. Sainz isn't giving up. Now Nico sets the fastest lap and Daniel attacks Lewis! But he doesn't get ahead. Phew. There's a lot happening. Raikkonen is swooping on Verstappen, they're wheel to wheel and they almost touch but Max stays ahead for now. DANIEL OVERTAKES LEWIS NO! FUCK OFF! NICO OVERTAKES LEWIS AS WELL NNNNNO! OH HE COULDN'T DO IT thank god. Raikkonen : "That guy keeps pushing me off the circuit every time when I’m next to him. So if that’s legal then I will do the same next time." He's talking about Verstappen, unsurprisingly. He's told they're checking with Charlie. Verstappen attacks Seb for P6, and he wins this one, but Seb comes back, but Max keeps the place, and Raikkonen is just behind, that's some close racing for sure. BUT HE GOES WIDE! SEB IS BACK AHEAD AND RAIKKONEN ATTACKS. SEB ALSO GOES WIDE BUT KEEPS THE PLACE AND RAIKKONEN CAN'T FIND A PATH. AND NICO ATTACKS LEWIS AGAIN, THEY'RE WHEEL TO WHEEL AND LEWIS HAS TO FALL BACK AND KVYAT IS BASICALLY ON THEM AS WELL, LEWIS DEFENDS AND HE'S CALLED IN TO PIT come on it's time! Get the tyres! Get back in the lead! Daniel sets another fastest lap. Let's see how the slicks are doing. Seb pitted as well. A few backmarkers already did. 

On lap 20, Daniel pits. Nico pits. Kvyat pits. Ohhh no. Kvyat is shaky out of the exit and Lewis is coming at full speed but goes wide. He's down in P4, the undercut didn't work. Meanwhile Jenson, who got on the slicks earlier, now sets the fastest lap. This is going to be good. Lewis is already on Kvyat's heels. OH AND RAIKKONEN IS IN THE GRAVEL AND INTO THE WALL! No big shunt, thankfully, but he's out of the race, no? He gets away after furiously turning his steering wheel back and forth to get his wheel unstuck from the barrier. Crazy. He needs a new nose.

Now Seb sets the fastest lap? Lewis is struggling and making mistakes, now. Focus! AND NICO IS BACK IN THE LEAD!

AND LEWIS IS BACK ON THE PODIUM! GET THEM REDBULLS, BOYS! Come on! They overtook them basically at the same time. Incredible. Nico sets the fastest lap. No! It's Hulkenberg! You know it's a crazy race when the fastest lap jumps from car to car. Now Seb is closing on Kvyat, go go go ! YES ! He's ahead! Massa is called to retire the car. And Hulkenberg overtook Sainz for P7. Lewis is gaining on Daniel. But he's definitely losing on Nico, who just set another fastest lap. Here we go! Come on… Come on… Come on… HERE WE GO, LEWIS IS BACK IN P2. Raikkonen is called to retire. That's the 5th DNF so far. Oh and here's the sixth car, Ericsson has stopped on the track. Is that going to be a safety car? Yellow flags. Safety car. Ouuuh boy. That's gonna mix it up again. Nico is told to stay out. Seb pits for mediums to go to the end? Jenson, Perez, Hulkenberg pit. "Is there a big temperature difference between our tyres, because I have no grip out here?" Lewis asks. Bono tries to quiet him down : "Not a big difference, Lewis, just keep doing what you’re doing, working those tyres. We have fuel to burn." 

We hit lap 30 under the safety car. The order goes Nico, Lewis, Daniel, Kvyat, Seb, Verstappen, Hulkenberg, Perez, Jenson, and Sainz. Lewis : "Is there a different line into T1 because I don’t know, braking is quite slippery, it’s easy to lock up, are drivers going deep?" Bono : "I’m afraid I can’t comment on lines, Lewis." It's the new radio guidelines, I mentioned them previously. Nico is seriously backing them up to the point they have to take action to not collide with each other. Here we go again. They're all neatly lined up in the pit straight, then Kvyat locks up and goes wide into the first corner. He's now P5, behind Seb. That might have been a good gamble, putting him on mediums during the safety car… Seb attacks Daniel and can't quite make it but then he does and he's up on the podium, easily. But Daniel overtakes him back! Not so easy then. AGAIN! Seb is ahead of Daniel! And behind them, Verstappen overtakes Kvyat for P5. Kvyat moves out of line to come back at him but instead Max moves on the outside to attack Daniel in the next corner! Kvyat goes off! Hulkenberg takes P6. It's now Verstappen under pressure. Lewis sets the fastest lap. He's now closing on Nico, he's just half a second away. Hulkenberg attacks Ricciardo and THEY TOUCHED! Hulkenberg's car is damaged and he's falling down the pack, and stops on the grass. Lewis sets another fastest lap. Daniel has damage as well. Kvyat is catching him. Sainz gets a 5 second penalty for speeding in the pitlane. VSC? Okay… Annoying. Pit stops then. Nico, Daniel, Kvyat. Lewis is informed Seb who’s behind him is probably going to the end. Now what. They should have pitted him as well. "How much of a disadvantage am I in, with the tyre situation?" he asks. "We’re going to have a look at the tyres now mate. Make an assessment," Bono says. The VSC is ending already. Now if he pits he'll lose badly. It's lap 40.

Alonso and Sainz overtake Perez for P6 and P7. "How big a gap do I need to the people behind?" Lewis now asks. Bono answers "So we need to find another ten seconds to Vettel. Not sure if we’re going to be able to do it on this tyre set." There's no fucking way man! Of course not! Oh this is so frustratiiiiinnnng. There's 15 laps to go. He can't hold them off. He just locked up as well. Nico is closing on Seb, now. He overtakes him. OH KVYAT CRASHED! WTF. Well that's another safety car they better pit Lewis immediately. Kvyat is okay. He just lost it on his own. That's an 8th DNF. Honestly wtf is this race. Lewis does pit indeed. Interestingly, Seb pits as well! So Nico is in the lead, Lewis is P2, weirdly enough Verstappen is P3, and Seb is P4. Then, amazingly, it's the two McLarens of Jenson and Alonso, I guess the updates work? Perez, Ricciardo in P8, Maldonado P9, and Sainz P10. Let me actually go to the end of the standings because you know what? It's just two more cars! Rossi, P11, Nasr P12. All the others DNFd. 

10 laps to go. That's gonna be an intense ending. Nico backs them up again. The safety car comes in. "Okay Lewis you'll have 10 laps remaining, just keep it nice and clean," chimes Bono. Here we go. Seb attacks Verstappen but can't make it yet. The two Mercs are flying ahead. Seb overtakes Verstappen. There's now a 3 way fight for P5 between Alonso, Perez and Daniel. I don't know where Jenson went. Lewis is 1.3 seconds away from Nico. LEWIS IS AHEAD! WHAT?! Oh Nico made a mistake! He went wide! Fastest lap for Lewis. Seb asks "what happened there?" He's told Nico went off line and to try and catch him. Sainz overtakes Ricciardo for P7. JENSON OVERTAKES THEM BOTH FOR P7?! Unbelievable. Nico sets the fastest lap. Listen. Listen. 

Give me a second.

P8 : Sainz +0.375

P9 : Ricciardo +0.392

P10 : Maldonado +0.287

Can you imagine? The chaos. 

JENSON OVERTAKES ALONSO FOR P6 he's flying, there's already a one second gap between them and it's just been a few corners! Sainz overtakes Alonso for P7, and Maldonado overtakes Daniel for P9. Now Maldonado overtakes Alonso as well. And Nasr overtook Ricciardo. Alonso complains he has no power. He asks what they can do and then says he's coming in. "Fernando stay out, stay out, we're still in the points." He says okay, once I'm not in the points anymore, I come in. 

5 laps to go. As things stand, Lewis wins his 4th title here. Bernie and Elton John are watching? 

4 laps to go. 

3 laps to go… Sainz overtakes Jenson for P6. 

2 laps to go! Seb is closing on Nico! He might still prevent Lewis from winning his title today? 

Final lap!!! Seb is 0.6 seconds away, he has the DRS! 

Oh my god oh my god oh my god 

IT'S THE END OF THE RACE! LEWIS WINS HIS 3RD CHAMPIONSHIP! 

Oh and I'm so happy Seb will be up on that podium with him.

"Okay Lewis, I think you've done it mate!" we hear Bono's message as he went through the line. "Just need to see what Nico does… That is it! World champion, pal! World champion!" 

Paddy Lowe echoes Bono : "Three times world champion, Lewis !" 

We hear some heavy breathing. "I'm feeling it pal," Bono speaks again, "I'm feeling it." Then Paddy again : "How does that sound Lewis? Three times world champion." 

Finally we hear Lewis, his voice is breaking. "It’s the greatest moment of my life. Thank you guys so much. That was… I’m just so grateful, thank you. To my family, I love you all. Thank you." 

Then Bono reins him in. "We got to look after the race car, mate, we’re going to need it next week." But Lewis goes ahead and does some donuts anyway.

"So let’s just look after the car, mate, and have some fun tonight."

(We had a Bottass appreciation post at some point, it’s only fair)

In the cool down room, Nico congratulates him then Seb does as well.

After his weigh in he sinks down and rests his head on the table.

He's out of breath, sniffling, emotional as always, he steps away from the camera, tries to find some space but they're being very annoying with him. Then he hugs Paddy Lowe.

His reaction is weirdly calm compared to last year's. Nico throws his cap at him in an ugly gesture that you’ve probably already seen a hundred times.

Paddy Lowe stares him down.

Lewis smiles like a child at some guy, asking if he can go. The guy says they're waiting for instructions.

What a race! Not a good one, when you support McLaren, Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher. And it get’s even worse when you like Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda as well.

Where to begin?

Micks DNF due to an technical failure. Who cursed him?!? I mean this boy has so much bad luck. Somehow it feels like Mick is the new Hülkenberg. Hopefully luck will find Mick for the next race. He would have deserved fucking points today! 🥺

McLaren with maybe the worst pit stop in history! How you can fuck it up like this? Guys please! Isn’t it bad enough that your car is a tractor with way to many issues? I’m so sad for Lando. And on Daniels car were problems with the brakes the last 15 laps or something like that. It’s so frustrating! I hope this team figures out what the hell happens today and how it can solve this problems as soon as possible. Lando and Daniel deserve at least a car they can reach some points with. At least there is no race next week again so there is a bit more time to get some work done. I’m trying to stay positive and keeping up my hopes for Silverstone. Keep fighting Team Papaya🧡

Oh Seb. It wasn’t the weekend I hoped for. the free practice sessions on Friday and Saturday looked so promising. But just in time for the qualifying everything went down so fast. Bad strategies. Bad decisions. A track which was getting dry much sooner than expected. Lots of bad luck even before the race had started. One thing I’m really a kinda mad about, is the fucking shitty decision of Aston Martin that Seb wasn’t allowed to wear his special helmet. I honestly did expected Aston Martin not to shit themselves because a pissed politician. It would have been amazing when they would have supported Seb. I mean somehow I can understand the point of Aston Martin but in my opinion it would have been an amazing statement to stand behind Seb.

The DNF of Yuki was so sad! He had done so well after starting from P20. Keep your head up high Yuki. Next time will be better!

So now let’s get to some good things about today’s race. At least there have been a few.

Charles did an incredible job getting from P19 to P5 while having a shit pit stop end ending in the DRS train after it. Proud of Charles!

At least Lance Stroll got a point at his home race. I’m not his biggest fan but getting in points at home makes me feel happy for him.

Lewis on a podium! Seeing him with that smile… ah he deserved this victory. Especially after that shit of porpoising last week in Baku. Well done! Next stop home race in Silverstone 🥹

My emotions are so mixed today. So many sad and frustrating things but a few fantastic highlights as well. But I have to say, I like to write down my own impressions after qualifying and the race. So you all have to deal with my shit now every race weekend 😂

1. Their kindness. To everyone, but fans in particular. It’s more obvious with Seb because he’s always interacted a little more, but godd does that man make me want to weep with how he treats everyone around him? He’s the most precious baby. And with Chris, it’s just obvious from his whole vibe, the way he always talks people up, the way he just radiates love, the way he so clearly expresses how much it all means to him. They’re so open minded and they rarely seem judgmental and I love them for that. 🥰🥰🥰

2. Their commitment & dedication & love for/ to their craft. Some actors do it for the money, for the fame, for idk what. But with both of them you just KNOW they do it because they love movies, they love the craft, they freaking CARE about their characters and put in the effort to translate what’s on the page to screen with so much emotion and dedication. It’s made my heart burst to hear them talk about this all too many times. 💛😭

3. Their passion & love - for a lot of things. Obviously they have space in common. I love love love that about them, the fact that they can become so incredibly dorky and excited talking about it, that they clearly invest time into learning about it more and more, and that they share those things with us. And for Chris, also playing piano or tap dancing or his interest in politics or his love for dogs. Whenever he talks about something (or someone - Dodger) he loves, this man just lights up and and it makes me feel so freaking warm and happy and I’m so happy that he, even if he’s such a private person, still shares those loves & interests with us so freely. And with Sebastian, it’s books & quotes and photography and his love for New York and the love he shows his friends. He’s honestly amazing and so passionate about so many things it makes me all soft and makes me sob. 💛💛💛

4. Their dorky nature. They have no problem being a little silly, act like little kids, do something a little stupid or make fun of themselves. They don’t take themselves too seriously (and they’re so freaking modest), but I love to see Seb do his ridiculous little dances or hear Chris rant about his favorite Disney movies or just see the dumb expressions they pull or listen to the stupid jokes they make bc they’ve not progressed beyond the age of 12 (in Chris’s words), and I love that so damn much.

5. Well I tried to not be superficial but I cannot possibly ignore the fact that they are not just beautiful on the inside, but freaking GORGEOUS on the outside too. I’d say I don’t know where to start, but it’s all in the eyes really 😭😭 I LOVE both Chris’s eyes and Seb’s eyes. So bright and so pretty and I just want to drown in them and I very often do. And I cry about them a lot because it’s just too freaking much for one person to deal with. And then then just, Sebastian’s freaking jawline and that cute little chin and his lanky but strong body and those handsss. And Chris’s arms and that ridiculous chest and that tiny little waist and those handsss. And the HAIR!! We’ve been living in fluffy hair heaven and I don’t ever want it to end. Yeah fuck they’re way to fucking gorgeous and I kinda hate them. 😤😤

6. Okay you said 5 but I cannot, I repeat, CAN NOT possibly leave out their laughs. Their LAUGHS give me so much freaking joy??? I can hear their laughs looking at a photo, and they’re both so freaking infectious, but smiles on these two faces are also so so incredibly beautiful? The eye crinkles & the nose scrunch Seb tends to do, god I’m weak for it. And Chris’s full belly laugh with the boob grab is just the best freaking thing in the world and I want to just see and hear it in person just one time so I can collapse and die happy. 🥺🥺💖💖

Okay I feel like I’ve left so many things out. Like their sheer talent. But I could write ESSAYS on the things I love about them, and I’m so disappointed with myself that I probably left out lots of things I really freaking love about them. But thank you so much for this request, it gave me the chance to rewatch one of my favorite Marvel cast videos so thank you for that as well, it never fails to make me smile. I hope you don’t mind that I chose Seb as the co-star you’re dating! Also, yes, I know I’ve been writing a lot of headcanons but writing this as a headcanon seems like the best way to write it for me😭 I’m gonna add in some pictures that the cast took with their disposable cameras, so enjoy😉

When it was mentioned that you and some other members of the Infinity War cast were going to be on James Corden, you were very excited.

You enjoyed making appearances on late night talk shows; Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel—they were always fun to be on. Though you’ve always loved making appearances on James Corden’s show.

When you first heard about being on The Late Late Show, you were expecting to do a typical interview in the studio that would lead to playing a game later on in the show.

What you didn’t expect was to be led out to the parking lot with the rest of the cast, only to be greeted by a double decker bus with James’ face plastered alongside it.

At first you were all a bit confused but one of the producers came up to you all and explained the segment you were all filming.

Everyone was buzzing with exhilaration waiting to get on the bus. One by one you were called up, you being paired with Sebastian.

Wait, he would make you go up the stairs first so he can stay behind you, making sure you don’t fall. Omg and he would place his hand on your lower back too😭🥺

“Wow—Marvel’s own power couple, it’s such an honor to have you both on here. Thank you for coming!” James greeted the both of you. Partially acting because the cameras were rolling.

You and Sebastian beamed at him, proud of the title the fans and your cast mates have given you both over the years. “It’s always a pleasure to see you, James.”

James gives you both your name tags, pausing mid way while he was handing Seb his. James’ gaze shifts between you and Seb, “I’m sorry, you’re just both so beautiful.”

Seb bashfully thanks him, pulling you towards the seats, as you giggle behind him.

You and Seb sit towards the back, behind Don and Tom.

You all sit tight, talking amongst yourselves as you wait for the bus to start. In the seats were disposable cameras and some Late Late Show merch.

The bus hasn’t started driving yet, but you were all having too much fun with the disposable cameras.

Everyone was just taking pictures of each other. You and Seb took a couple selfies and some stolen shots of the others, mostly Anthony.

You even got a cute shot of Don and Tom:

Yes I know they used disposable cameras but I decided to tie in my ‘Polaroid’ series into this even though they’re not using Polaroids—just go with it😭

Being the more social one in the relationship, you were going up and down the aisle talking to everyone.

Seb stayed towards the back with Anthony and Winston. While you were at the front talking to Lizzie and Chris.

Being sad when you were all told to go sit down because you had to leave Lizzie.

Though it probably wasn’t shown in the video, I just KNOW that the filming for this segment was chaotic as fuck.

Chaotic in a good way.

But the whole bus was loud I just know it.

You could hear Mackie across from you talking loudly and laughing that contagious laugh of his.

You, Lizzie, Pom, and Zoe attempting to talk to each other from different spots on the bus over everyone else’s voice.

Chris and Paul can also be heard laughing all the way from the back.

James feeling like a parent because it felt like he was babysitting a bunch of toddlers.

The whole thing was freaking chaotic from the start, I mean ya’ll started the ‘tour’ with Benedict and Chris rubbing sunscreen on James’ legs.

Everyone passing around the sunscreen after, because it was sunny as hell and no one thought of wearing sunscreen.

Seb being a cheeky asshole and ‘accidentally’ smearing sunscreen across your face.

“Sebastian!” You gasped before a flash of light went off on you. When your eyes recovered from the flash you see Seb holding up a camera at you, snickering to himself.

James began to act as your guide, pointing out things like a coffee shop and explaining what it is.

Laughing at Don when he got out of his seat and took a picture of the coffee shop. Like how he got into an over exaggerated position just to take a picture was funny.

Everyone being childish and acting as actual tourist in Los Angeles. Like pointing things out and asking about them or taking pictures of literally everything you drove by.

When Reggie Watts began that sing along thing everyone joined in, bopping and dancing along to the beat.

Like you guys are just having a really great time, happy to be in each other’s presence.

You could hear Sebby singing along to Reggie beside you, and you couldn’t help but just adore him singing and having fun.

He’d notice your stare, he may have had sunglasses on, but you could see the crinkle of his eyes from behind his sunglasses as he smiled at you.

“Na, na, na, na, na, na!” Seb repeated, leaning towards you to press a kiss on your temple.

Throughout the whole ride, he’d have his arm along the back of your seat or have it across your lap.

After the sing along, James went back to acting as a tour guide. He pointed to a red building—whatever it was—and deemed it as “Barbra Streisand’s holiday home”.

Josh Brolin, who was sat along at the back of the deck, raised his hand. “Excuse me! I—uh don’t mean to interrupt, but I have to use the bathroom. Can I use the bathroom?”

James pretending to cringe and telling him that in order to use the bathroom you have to be in three or more Marvel movies to use the bathroom—end credits don’t count.

Everyone being childish once again and yelling “OHHHHHHH!” Like a bunch of school kids.

James points to Tom, “Tom Hiddleston do you need the bathroom?”

Tom, with his soft voice and a small shrug says, “I’m actually okay!”

James then points to you and Seb, “My lovebirds at the back, Sebastian, (Y/n), do either of you need the bathroom?”

You and Seb glance at each other, “Nah we’re good.” Your boyfriend answers.

“Yeah, I used the bathroom before we came here.” You look behind your shoulder at Josh, a smug expression on your face, “Unlike some people.”

Josh flipping you off while everyone laughs at him.

Since Anthony and Seb aren’t sitting together, I just know that Anthony would be yelling at Seb from across the bus to get his attention.

No seriously, I saw them in the background of the video and even heard Mackie yelling lmao😭😂

“(Y/n) call Sebastian!” Anthony yelled at you from across the bus, pointing to the man beside you with a grin on his face.

You chuckle and nudge Seb, “Your boyfriend’s calling you.”

Seb would shake his head at you and turn his attention to Anthony; who just wanted to take a picture of Seb from his side of the bus.

James trying to get spoilers out of all of you but thankfully you all aren’t Tom Holland or Mark Ruffalo.

“Does anyone on this bus die in the next Avengers?” James asked. Suddenly you were all quiet, not a word coming out of any of you.

Until Paul began to scream his infamous line, “snITCHES END UP IN DITCHES!”

Getting confused when James suddenly asked the bus to stop and ran off the bus.

Next thing you know, you’re all hopping off the bus and walking into a comic store with a Spider-Man statue at the front.

Seb motioned to the statue and looked back and Anthony, “We gotta get a picture with that.”

Anthony instantly agreeing—he was willing to do anything to tease Tom Holland.

Seb’s not that huge with PDA, but he always needs to be touching you. So he’ll be interlocking your hands with his the moment you walk off the bus and all the way into the comic store.

Feeling thrilled to surprise the people who were shopping at the store.

You all walked around, mingled with some fans, taking selfies with them, and signed a few things.

You were looking at some Funko Pops with Lizzie when you felt a small tap on your leg.

You looked down to see a small girl looking up at you with wide eyes full of admiration. In her tiny hands was a Funko Pop of your character.

You and Lizzie instantly coo at the toddler, crouching down to her level so you can talk.

“Hey, sweetheart!” You greet her, taken back when she suddenly wraps her arms around you into a hug. You laugh wrapping your arms around her small figure and hugging her back.

“I love you so much!” She squeals into your ear, arms tightening around you. Your heart swelled as she excitedly babbled about how much she loved your character and how you were her favorite.

“I love you too! Oh my gosh, you’re so cute!” You decide to carry the toddler, who you later learned was named Lila. Her parents scolded her for distracting you from the other fans in the store, but you brushed them off, your attention focused on your tiny fan.

You carried her around while you met other fans and signed more comic books and merch.

You even introduced her to your other cast mates.

Sebastian’s heart absolutely melting at the sight of you with a baby.

Homie wants to wife you up one day and seeing you with a baby made his baby fever sky rocket.

“Lila, this is Sebastian! You know who he plays right?” You ask the toddler in your arms. Sebastian ducking a bit so he could hear her over the commotion in the store.

“Yeah, he’s the wiener soldier!” She replied. Both you and Seb had to hold back your laughs at her answer.

Lila bragging about how she loves you more than Sebastian.

Seb having to agree because he doesn’t wanna make a toddler cry.

Before you all left, you took pictures with Lila and her parents and signed a bunch of her merch.

^ the boys got their picture.

You guys get back on the bus only to come back to rolls of paper under your seats.

You all sang the “Avengers” song, singing screaming the lyrics dramatically.

Don and Anthony bringing on the vocals.

Before you guys get off the bus you all take a selfie together.

Leaving Chris Hemsworth on the bus and walking off the bus with your heart all warm and fuzzy because you had an amazing time with your boyfriend and your friends :)

It has gotten really bad. These kids have put everything into this show, even their relationships (both platonic and romantic) and that is how you repay them? 

I didn’t think they would address this, I lost hope after last week but I am so glad they’re going too.

Someone send Seb after Miss. Jenn please, let him rip into her, he would do very well.

Miss. Jenn is supposed to be the role model and she just told a kid to jump off something high.

nina has been a godsend this episode, props to her!

haven’t been the biggest nini fan this season (off and on for me), but she was very behaved this episode. 

if there is anything the east high kids are good at, it’s bullshitting their way out.

I liked the episode. Didn’t love it, but liked it. I really wish we got to see more acting, like we didn’t even see Big Red and E.J go on stage. Not even the iconic yellow dress. Some of the drama is so unnecessary, like why Mike and Jenn? What is with the Kourtney and Howie drama the writers insist on having, can’t they just be happy?

Besides the whole harness incident (burn that harness and mask it is causing so many problems) the production went very well, too well. This is East High we’re talking about.

Maddie had a love hate relationship with flying. She loved travelling but she could really do without the plane side of it.

She wasn't a nervous flyer or anything, she just wasn't the biggest fan of being crammed in a what was essentially a tin can full of stagnant air and complete strangers, it made her skin crawl.

This time was different though, she had been on edge the entire the entire duration of the 8 hour flight from New York. She had kept her noise cancelling headphones glued to her ears the entire flight.

Sebastian had given them to her for Christmas, they really did help her block out the world.

As she walked out of the doors at the International Arrivals gate she closed her eyes and let her head fall back as she let out a huge sigh of relief, completely forgetting the hundreds of people moving all around her.

She had done it, she had survived. The flight, customs, all of it. She was proud of herself. She had been so anxious about it ever since she had booked the flight and just two days prior she had almost had a complete melt down when Sebastian pointed out that he wasn't coming with her.

She hadn't realised just how dependent she had become on him, especially when she was scared.

Someone brushes her arm as the pass her, making her jump out of her skin as she returns to reality. She hated how much things scared her now, she felt like she was afraid of everything.

Travis had done so much damage that night and she didn't know if she would ever get back to who she was before, it made her blood boil just thinking about it.

Looking around at the people waiting to collect passengers she spots Cliff. She was surprised, not because she didn't want to see him but because Jensen had said he was picking her up.

She takes her headphones off as she walks over to him before being enveloped by his arms.

"They were fighting over who got to pick you up" Cliff says, answering her question before she even opens her mouth "so your stuck with me"

"Of course they were" Maddie laughs as they start walking to the car "How was your break?"

"It was good. Spent New Year's at the snow"

"Nice"

"How was yours, you go home?"

"No… you know how full on my family is. I just wasn't up for it, not yet" Maddie sighed. She really had wanted to go home for Christmas, but as much as she loved her family, the thought of being around them after everything that had happened scared the hell out of her

"Don't tell me you spent Christmas alone?"

"Oh god no. Seb dragged me along to his mums. I honestly don't know where I'd be without him these past few months"

“Haw are you doing with everything?”

"OK I guess... it's just been a lot. One day at a time"

"I’m really sorry I haven’t visited"

"It’s OK. I don’t expect people to drop everything because of what happened"

"Still…"

"You’ve got a life Cliff. And you haven’t abandoned me. All your messages… they really did help" she tells him as they reach the car. She smiles at him as he gives her shoulder a gentle squeeze.

"Come on, let's get out of here"

"Yes, please"

• Qualifying was chaos, absolutely loved it.
