wOW I've totally slacked on posting my last few weeks of listening logs (and tbh, I'm still figuring out how best to post them on tumblr specifically - I think I just might start to share the videos?) anYWAY, here's the last three weeks of shows I've dipped my ears into (I regret that phrase)

Hello, I am participating in the Podcast Jam which is "a collaborative event running from early February to May for anyone interested in creating an audio drama, both prior creators and newcomers to podcasting. Inspired by game jam events, teams of writers, voice actors, editors and artists will collaborate to create the pilot episode of a fiction podcast from start to finish, with the last weekend of the event dedicated solely to recording and editing of the episodes."

This is my pitch: solar-punk sci-fi with anti space-colonialism sentiments. It is the year 2072, the poles have melted and hummanity has taken for the stars, except for the CONDUCTOR of the MUSIC OF EART radio show. To cope with being the only human on earth, they’ve decided to create a Radio Show where they stream music from various times and places of the world. One day there’s an interference with their show, the broadcast of an ECOLOGIST with their unflinching believe that it is not the end of the world, just a succesion. Together they embarch on a quest for other humans that still live in planet earth, finding various communities and people, and began to help the earth one day heal.

Currently I am imagining the ecologist as chicane, and looking for any chicane and/or mexican-amercian people that would like to try their hand at voice acting. If you would like to try pls reach out!

if you wanna listen to naddpod you should know this about the hosts: brian murphy is a straightman to his inner most core and he's the funniest person alive, these things exist simultaneously and would not exist without the other. emily axford is clinically insane to a point where it's easier to not try to follow her logic when she says things. jake hurwitz is a certified cool guy but he's the biggest loser in a room of nerds playing dungeons and dragons. caldwell tanner can only be described as exactly what a 1930's cartoon describes as a rascal. three of them are a throuple and the fourth is their boss.

i think what i adore about ladynoir beyond high school age (18 and over) is the opportunity it leaves for some of the most DELICIOUS best friends to lovers scenarios. because, like, two people who've been fighting side by side for years? who've known each other long enough to make jokes about it, haha remember when we were fourteen and you-- we AGREED to never speak of it!!!! who've spent so long learning each other inside out, even, in chat noir's case, getting over feelings, that the idea of anything romantic between them is so far off the radar that they don't feel the need for certain boundaries, because why would it matter if they made jokes about how attractive they find each other, about getting married, about how they could totally mess with the rest of the miracle team by pretending they're hooking up because it's so far out of the realm of possibility.

but then there would be that imperceptible shift. the moment where one of them makes a joke and it feels just a bit more loaded than it should. gazes lingering where they never lingered and playful smiles turning curious. the sudden awareness that, while maybe they were cuddling on a rooftop with their best friend, they were also wrapped up in the arms of someone they trust with their lives, and is extremely attractive, and, wait, if the only reason it was platonic before was because there were no feelings, what does THIS mean?

THE TENSION. THE PINING. THE INHERENT MESS OF BEING IN YOUR TWENTIES. PLEASEEEE
