Regina Mills, Once Upon a Time: Magic. There seemed like so many times that Regina was trying to no longer be the villain and some bullshit would happen and the Charmings would need magic info... and they'd go to someone who's not even trying to not be evil. Mostly Rumple. Idk I didn't watch every season. But like, Regina's mom was a powerful magic-user and she studied under Rumple (and Maleficent iirc?) and yet they hardly seemed to use her knowledge, they'd just wait until the situation was bad enough that she had to cast something big and dangerous. Like... why not involve her more in the research part smh

(Look, ^this is why I've been calling for additional character blurbs/ endorsements/ hype from the very beginning! All character blurbs were written by the person submitting the character, and sometimes, this was all I got. I have no idea who Abigail Carmichael is; I'm sure she's competent at what she does, but I can't go and start watching a new show or do other kinds of research. what can you expect from my writing?

Angst, typically. I do write other genres such as fluff, hurt/comfort, hurt/no comfort and possibly festive themed works

Gender-Neutral!Reader—I’ll probably only be writing reader inserts to be gender-neutral using they/them pronouns (if not, none) because that’s what I’m most used to but I’m willing to try fem! or male!reader if requested

Non-Reader Inserts. Could be only focusing on one character or be a canon (or fanon) ship between two characters

Second or Third Person POV. Usually Second Person but I may alternate between the two for certain pieces

// tiny blurb of something i never finished for swanqueen, but hey it's cute and i need something to post //

“Come on, Regina, one night out isn’t gonna kill you.”

“Miss Swan, we are about to go into a meeting to discuss allocation of town funds; are you sure convincing me to go drinking with you tonight is the best idea? Or do you wish to have the same broken coffee pot at the station?”

Emma shut her mouth, raising her hands in defeat as her and the Mayor walked together towards the monthly City Council meeting they had scheduled. Emma absolutely hated these things, having to sit for hours in a room as people she didn’t even recognize talked about “town issues” that were frankly bullshit, but it gave her a reason to listen to Regina yell at skeezy old men, which was always nice.

“I’m just saying,” the blonde began again as they rounded the corner, holding the door open for Regina as she walked past, “it wouldn’t hurt to live a little. Granny already offered to watch Henry for the night anyways.” As she started again behind Regina, she had to force herself to stop focusing on the smell of Regina’s perfume wafting towards her. Who even smells like apples and lavender?

“Oh, yes, because I so love the idea of that old wolf watching our son while we down drinks at the Rabbit Hole,” Regina snarked, but Emma knew her voice lacked the bite it did when she was really against something. “Tell you what,” she stopped abruptly, Emma nearly running into her. “If you can convince Leroy and the dwarves to fix those clogged pipes off of Main Street, I’ll consider getting one drink with you and your insipid friends.” Somehow, in the time Regina had started talking, she’d backed Emma into the nearest wall; the two were so close that Emma could practically feel the other woman’s breath on her cheek.

The blonde inhaled sharply, eyes flicking around Regina’s features. “And what if I don’t?” A challenge, clear as day, and Regina quirked a brow.

“Well, then, my dear, you get to fix the pipes all by yourself,” Regina smirked, walking away and leaving Emma dumbstruck against the wall.

6. Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?

i never hated any pairing from ouat, tbh. BUT i will say that fandom opened my eyes to swan queen! when i first watched the show, i was super into captain swan bc they were both pretty and i was a big killian girl (i know, who the fuck was i right?). i saw little things between emma and regina but i was always focused on hook (who was i?!?!?) but then i was doing a deep tumblr dive in the ouat tags one night and i saw a little blurb about sq and i read it and i was like "...wait a hot minute" and i went to that person's blog and from there to someone else's blog and it just spiraled downward from there and now here we are, full blown swanqueen trash! :)

12. Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

the frozen arc! i thoroughly enjoyed the entire frozen arc with the snow queen villain! i'm not sure why so many people hated it! even ppl i work with who watched the show said they stopped watching during the frozen arc and i am like WHAT WHY HOW?! i thought it was so so so good and i loved elsa and emma's friendship (the friend she deserved) and the snow queen having a past with emma and giving emma those lost memories back so she could remember that she was once loved as a child and that someone did want her zasxdcfvgh that whole arc was *chefs kiss* and idk whyyyyy anyone would say otherwise! also the casting for the frozen characters was literally perfect?????

16. If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?

.....do i really need to state the obvious? lmao. *cough* swan queen would be endgame *cough*. lmao i joke (not really) BUT i would change emma's ending for sure. nothing against captain swan, really if that's her true love then good for them, BUT i would've loved for emma's happy ending to just be henry and her family. i don't think she needed a man to be her happy ending and that's not how her story should've ended. it should've ended with her being happy with henry and her parents and if she's w hook in the end then that's fine but i don't think they needed to get married and make a whole show of their relationship and shoving it in everyone's face like 'emma is happy now bc she's married yay she's so happy!!!' like no that's not what this show was about (at least not for me). the charming/swan/mills family is the ultimate happy ending, not romantic relationships, and i would've changed that aspect.

ALSO i would've never killed neal. if the actor needed to go do other stuff, cool that's life, but he didn't need to die in order for the actor to go away. i believe they killed him off for cs to thrive, but it was unnecessary and just unrealistic in my opinion. i would've loved more scenes of emma & neal co-parenting henry together and even if he wasn't constantly around, it would've been nice knowing that he was still in henry's life with little comments about henry going to see him/spending a weekend with him/whatever they could think of even if the actor wasn't available to have screen time.

You laugh pushing Emma away after she kissing your cheek. 'Gross' is what you say to her, wiping the imaginary saliva off of you. Looking away, you searched for the one person who you had eyes on all night.

Catching a glimpse of the person you were looking for, they quickly escaped out the front entrance.

"I'll be right back" You say to Emma and walk away, quickly trying to work your way around people. You walk out the entrance of Granny's dinner and look around hoping to find them. Walking further out. you catch them already half way down the block.

"Regina!" you called out to the former evil queen, who continued walking. Huffing, you began running in hopes to catch up to her.

"Gina!!" you call out to her again, she stops and slowly turns around facing you.

You caught up to her and stopping a few feet from her. "Why did you leave?" you asked, panting. Jesus you needed to start working out.

"Do you like her?" Regina ask you, ignoring your question.

"What?"

Rolling her eyes, she asks you again "Emma. do you like her?"

"I mean yeah" Confused, you nod and clarify quickly "but as a friend"

"Really? because from the looks of it, Emma seems to like you more than a friend"

"She was trying to make you jealous" You tell her, mentally wishing you could kill Emma right now.

"What?" The brunette looks at you dumbfounded.

"Emma thought it would be a great plan to make you jealous because she thinks you like me so she decided to be a little handsy" you explain to her, watching her closely to see her reaction. "I told her it was a bad idea because someone like you couldn’t possibly like someone like me" Looking down, you shuffle your feet as feel your cheeks start to burn red, embarrassed from your confession.

"i-" Regina clears her throat, straightening her posture "I do"

Looking up at her, you scan her face to check if she was messing with you and question her "you do?"

"Yes, I do but I never said anything because who could ever like the Evil Queen"

"I do"

The brunette shakes her head, starting to regret confessing to you "you shouldn't, y/n"

"Gina, I don't care about your past. In fact, I'm happy that you decided to do the curse" Looking into her eyes, you continued "If you didn't, I wouldn't have this life I have now. I wouldn’t have met you. I'm so much happier in this life than I was in the Enchanted forest" You tell her, taking a small step forward to her not wanting to scare her away.

You were never one of those people that were angry at Regina for the curse. You thanked her for it. Back in the Enchanted forest, you lived with your mother and father who was an abusive drunk ready to sell you for any amount of change. Your father never laid a hand on your mother but he did yell at her and she would just take it, promising him that she would do better. When it came to you, your mother would look the other way while your father beat you. When Regina casted the curse, that was the best day of your life. You woke up alone in a warm cozy apartment and had a good job as a preschool teacher. You were honestly living your best life, especially after the curse broke and you became friends with the former Evil queen, saving her from an angry mob. Becoming one of the few people she can trust. As for your parents, last you heard your father was a local drunk at the Rabbit Hole and your mother continued to be a housewife.

Looking at you with tearful eyes, "Really?"

"Yes. I don't care about your past, I don't care about what you've done" You take another step towards her. "you're different now, better even. you've learned from your mistakes and suffered the consequences so just let me love you. Let me love you the way you deserve to be loved, okay?" Taking another step, you both were now close enough to feel each other's warmth.

Cupping her cheeks with your hands, glancing down at her lips, you say "I'm gonna kiss you now"

"Please do" she whispers and closes the space between you two, kissing you. If your heart could explode, it would definitely explode right now.

"Finally!! operation kiss the girl is complete!" A familiar yells in excitement behind you making you break the kiss. jumping apart from each other.

"Operation kiss the girl?"

"Yeah. henry and I were tired of you two ogling at each other so we decided to do something about it" Emma explains to you both and continues "that is why I came up with the jealousy plan" She stops as Henry clears his throat loudly and corrects herself, rolling her eyes "We came up with it, I just told you our plan"

Regina looks at Henry with worried eyes "Henry, you're okay with this right?"

"Mom, of course I’m okay with it. you deserve to be happy and loved" The fourteen year old tells his mother "If I wasn't, I wouldn't have came up with this awesome operation"

"I love you, my little prince" The brunette smiles brightly at her son, eyes shining of love. "I love you too mom" He smiles back at her.

"Come let's go back inside, it's getting pretty cold" Emma says, shivering slightly as her teeth chatter a little.

"Can we get hot coco?" The kid asked looking between his moms. "Of course!" Emma smiles, swinging her arm around Henry’s shoulder and starts walking back to Granny’s.

"With cinnamon on top?" Henry asked her making the blonde look at him weirdly.

"Kid, who do you think i am"

Laughing at them, you look at Regina with a bright smile.

"Come on. I want hot coco too" You tell her, grabbing her hand and pulling her with you as you start to walk behind the two children.

"Right behind you" Regina smiles back, holding your hand tightly letting you pull her.
