Fred Weasley x fem!reader
~•~
The café buzzed all around them, but Fred sat motionless, staring across Diagon Alley at Y/N standing outside her little shop, chatting with a customer.
"Hey, mate," George said.
No response.
"Hey Fred," he tried again.
Again nothing.
"Freddieeee."
Still nothing.
"Earth to Fred. Come in, Fred. This is ground control to Major Fred."
"Huh, what?" Fred snapped out of his daze.
George rolled his eyes. "Are you gonna eat, or are you just gonna sit there and drool over Y/N all afternoon?"
"I'm not drooling!" Fred touched the corner of his mouth. "Am I?"
His twin shook his head and chuckled. "You know, if you're so in love with her, you should ask her out."
"I never said I was in love with her!" Fred looked horrified.
"Maybe not out loud." George said.
The older twin sighed and shook his head. Very little got past his twin. "I don't know..." Fred said. "We're friends. I don't want to make things weird between us."
"Suit yourself," George shrugged and dug into his lunch.
Fred heaved another sigh, returning his attention back to Y/N, who, when she noticed him, broke out into a brilliant smile and waved.
He gave her a quick wave in return and immediately turned his attention to his sandwich, worried that his face might spontaneously burst into flames at any moment.
~•~
Y/N and Fred had known each other since their Hogwarts days. They weren't really friends then, so much as friendly acquaintances. Fred had been too enamored with Angelina to actually notice her. Not that it would've mattered much anyway. Y/N had been involved with a Ravenclaw bloke for most of their school years.
All that changed after the war. Y/N opened a small perfumery on Diagon Alley and soon became a regular at the joke shop. Her oldest sister coincidentally had twin boys, and Y/N spoiled them to bits.
"My sister's gonna kill me," she'd told Fred, laughing, when he showed her their newest product, Whizzies, a less dramatic version of Whizbangs for the younger crowd.
"You know, we do sell Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder in case you need to make a quick getaway," Fred suggested with a mischievous grin.
"Hmm... that might be a good idea," she said, returning his grin and added the powder to her purchase.
Y/N returned a few days later to regale him with the results of her most recent purchases, which involved a few small explosions that set the sofa on fire, followed by her quick getaway. After she helped put out the fire, of course.
It didn't take long for Fred to fall head over heels for her.
~•~
That was a year ago. And he still hadn't worked up the courage to ask her out.
"Tell me the truth, Freddie," George asked him the night after seeing his twin's face turn beet red at lunch. "What's up with this woman? What happened to Mr. I Can Get Any Girl I Want?"
Fred shrugged. "He ran away the moment he realized how much he liked her. It scares me, George, how much I like her. What if we get together and I fuck it up like I did with Angie? I... I don’t think I can go through... that again."
Ah. George nodded and patted his brother's shoulder. It all makes sense now. Fred was devastated when things didn't work out with Angelina. Of course, in public, he played off like it didn't bother him. It was only when he and Fred were alone that his twin let the mask slip. George couldn't ask him to put his heart on the line like that again. Nor did he know if he could watch Fred go through that kind of heartbreak again. So, he let the matter drop.
~•~
Y/N had never really given Fred Weasley much thought when they were in school. She remembered him being cute and funny, and maybe a bit crazy. But her interests lay elsewhere at the time.
Things were different now, though. For one, she was single, and for two, Fred had grown up. He was still cute and funny and a bit crazy, but it was tempered now with a sense of responsibility. Whether that came from the war or being a business owner or a combination of both, she didn't know. But she would really, really like to. In truth, she would like to know everything about him.
She'd thought that maybe he liked her back. He'd certainly given off those vibes many times. But it'd been almost a year and nothing more than the occasional invites to lunch with him and George had happened. And whenever she suggested that just the two of them do something, he always had other plans.
Perhaps she was wrong, she thought. Maybe it was time to give it up before she broke her own heart.
~•~
"Y/N hasn't stopped by the in three weeks," Fred peered down at her shop from their usual table at the café.
"Maybe she's been busy," George shrugged.
"Yeah, maybe..." Fred mumbled, shifting in his chair to get a better view of the perfumery's entrance. If she stepped out, he'd decided he'd wave her over.
But she never did.
Fred hated feeling so vulnerable and confused. He was the man with the plan, but he had no plan for this. Y/N had never been far from his mind to begin with, but now, she was all he could think about. Every time the shop door opened, his hopes rose only to sink through the floor seconds later when he realized it wasn't her.
Is she ok? Is she just busy? Did I say or do something wrong? Is she angry at me? Should I try to go talk to her?
Fred had admitted to himself that he cared for her, but he didn't realize how much until she stopped coming around.
"She's all I can think about, George," Fred confessed one night while they were working on paperwork. "Everywhere I turn in the store, I see where she's been. I hear her laughter. Every new invention, I think of her and how much I want to show it to her. Does she not buy stuff for her nephews anymore?"
George sighed and watched his twin for a moment. "I've been debating whether or not to show you this," he pulled a document from his pile of paperwork. "Here's the list for all the mail orders for this past month. She's made two big mail orders."
Fred snatched it from his brother's hands. "Why are you just telling me this?!"
"I didn't know until a couple of hours ago when Michael gave me his compiled list."
"But... why?" Fred stared at the paper. "Did I do something?"
"I don't know, Freddie. I wish I did."
~•~
Another week passed.
Nothing. Not even a glimpse of her.
And then, it happened. Fred spied Y/N sprinting past the joke shop, no doubt trying to get inside before the oncoming storm burst. Without a thought, he raced out the door after her.
"Y/N!" He called out. "Wait up!"
She stopped and stared at him, the wind whipping her hair in every direction.
"Hey," Fred greeted her. "How are you?"
"I'm uh, I'm good..." She looked up at the dark clouds roiling above them.
"Yeah, yeah. That's good," Fred replied. "I just, um... I was worried about you. You haven't been by the shop in a month."
Thunder rolled in the distance, and the first droplets fell, pattering on the cobblestones.
"You stopped me because I haven't been to the joke shop??" She wiped away a raindrop that pelted her just above her left eye and shook her head. "I'm going, Fred."
"No, wait," he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Please, Y/N."
She whirled around. "In case you haven't noticed, the bottom is getting ready to drop out!" She gestured toward the sky.
"I know, I just," he stammered. "Are you mad at me?"
"What?" She actually looked shocked. "Why would I be mad at you?"
Fred threw his hands in the air. "I don't know! You tell me! You're the one making mail orders instead of coming into the store."
Another clap of thunder, this time closer, then lightening rent the sky above them.
"Oh, for Merlin's sake, Fred," Y/N wiped her wet hair away from her face. "I'm not mad at you, ok?"
She started to turn away, but Fred stopped her again. "Then why don't you come into the shop anymore?"
The rain was now beginning to soak into their clothes. "Why do you care?!" She snapped, the lightening in her eyes far more intimidating than any the storm could produce.
"I - I uh," Fred chewed his lip, rain dripping off his nose. "I miss you."
"You miss me??" A year's worth of frustration and disappointment boiled over and exploded out. "I'm just another fucking customer to you! It shouldn't make a difference whether I shop in the store or not. You're still getting my money!"
"Wh - I don't care about your money!" Fred stepped closer to her. "You're not just another customer to me! You're... you're..."
"I'M WHAT, FRED WEASLEY??" She raged. "WHAT THE HELL AM I TO YOU?"
"YOU'RE MY FAVORITE PERSON!" He yelled back.
Y/N blinked, her hands dropping to her sides, as all her anger melted away with the rain. "What..."
"You're my favorite person, Y/N," he repeated, softer. "And I miss you. I miss you so much. Everything reminds me of you. It's driving me insane."
She stood frozen in place, eyes riveted on the man before her for a few long moments. Then suddenly, she rushed toward him and caught her in his arms, their lips melding together, passionate and electric, matching the intensity of the storm.
"What took you so long?" She teased once they parted.
Fred chuckled. "I'm an idiot."
Y/N smiled and nodded, squinting against the sun now peeking through the dissipating storm clouds. "I don't know about you, but I'm soaked to the bone. And I'm starting to shiver a little."
"Well, we certainly can't have that," Fred pressed her tighter to him. "Your place or mine?"
"I'm thinking yours," Y/N said, peeking around him. "George is standing in the doorway with his hands on his hips, glaring at us."
"Oh right," Fred turned and waved. "I ran out and left him alone during the afternoon rush. I'm in big trouble now."
"Best we hurry, then," Y/N giggled and gave him one more quick kiss.

Made of Glass
Chapter twenty four: Perfect Timing
“Run that by me one more time?” If the whiskey Frankie was drinking hadn’t cost so much, she would've spat it out after hearing those words form Bernadette’s mouth.
“Don’t be weird about it. Joe and I are just going for a walk or something. I’m only telling you so you don’t think I’ve been kidnapped, okay?”
“Uh huh….’walk’… sure. Have fun.” Francesca smirked, she did not for one second believe Birdie and Joe were going to end the night with a simple walk.
Birdie waved off her friend, rolling her eyes at the insinuation. The woman made her way back to Liebgott, who was waiting for her right where she left him.
“Everything good?” He spoke when he saw Birdie approaching.
“Yeah…” The pair began heading for the door, “So, where are you taking me, Joseph.” They hit the cool outside air and Birdie wondered which direction they should start walking. Was is presumptuous of her to head back to the barracks? Joe turned to the right, so she followed.
“There’s this place down the road, real nice for dancing… I figured you'd enjoy a proper spin and not whatever that guy was doing…” He joked, chuckling before letting his mirth slip, becoming somewhat serious, “You can call me Joe, ya know?”
“I know… but Joe is Joe.” She was referring to Toye, it was eerie calling them both the same name, especially after realizing she had feelings for one of the men, while the other was like family.
“Well, only my mother calls me Joseph.” Spoken matter of factly. Hearing the formal version of his name after not hearing it for so long was bizarre.
“Then you can beee….” Birdie thought for a moment, finger on her chin, “Joey.”
“No. No way. No one calls me Joey, that’s stupid.” Lieb looked over at the girl, her bottom lip pushed out comically as she puppy dog eyed him. It took two seconds for him to cave, “Fine, you can call me Joey. But if any of the guys start up that nickname, I’ll get you.” His threat was a joke, he wouldn’t actually do anything. Maybe he just wanted something special between them.
“Ooo I’m so scared, Joey.” Bernadette taunted, a wide smile plastered on her face.
“Yeah, you should be.” He watched her grinning at him and felt lightheaded, he mirrored her dopey look before abruptly stopping in his tracks.
“Here, this is the place.” He looked up at the name marked above the door, just to be sure. He had been to this pub a few weeks before with Tipper, Floyd and Grant, who had instantly found women to fling around the dancefloor, while Joe sat at the bar wishing she was here.
And tonight, she was.
“Fancy.” Birdie deadpanned. The place didn't look like much, dim and dusty. The entryway was not well kept and while Birdie didn’t typically mind, she enjoyed banter with the man who brought her here and wanted to poke fun at him a little. He understood her jest and smiled at her,
“Hey, don’t judge a book by its cover and all that.” Joe swung open the door and the muted chatter livened up. As Birdie stepped inside, she heard the swing music more clearly and grinned. She loved to dance, with the right partner, of course.
“Come on, I’ll get you a drink.” Joe steered her towards the bar, they were both nervous, a drink would help ease them into the situation neither of them ever thought they would be in.
“Whiskey?” Joe queried, even though he knew the answer. He noticed the southerner would accept most beverages, she wasn't really picky, but if she had a choice, the lady would always go for a whiskey.
“Neat.” She confirmed, somewhat stunned, how did he know her ‘go to’ drink? “Here.” She offered him some folded up bills to cover her drink and some, but he shook his head.
“You're kidding, right?” Eyebrows raised, “Put it away. I’m not taking your money, doll.” The nickname made her breath hitch. She had not expected that from him, yet it sounded familiar, like it was an everyday occurrence.
“Doll?” It was her turn to raise her eyebrows.
“Well, if you're gonna call me Joey, I gotta have a nickname for you.” She didn't argue, the warmth in her cheeks and dizzy feeling in her stomach wouldn't allow it. She could accept the pet name; doll, but only from him.
After sipping away and finishing their liquid courage, Joe extended his hand to her, “Dance with me?”
She paused for a moment, trying not to seem too eager, before accepting his invitation.
The music that played was fast and upbeat, Birdie was sweating by the end of the first song, though she enjoyed it more than her previous dance. Joe knew what he was doing on the dancefloor, the steps came naturally to him, like he was born for this.
Both soldiers were glowing, this place had really brought out a euphoric feeling and it showed. Smiles never left their faces as they spun around each other, stepping quickly and holding hands the entire time.
Joey and Birdie had sat at the bar having danced through several songs and eventually growing tired. They didn't even order another drink, they just sat and chatted, sharing their pasts, presents and futures.
Birdie learnt his five siblings' names: Mary, Elizabeth, Anna, Barbara and Stephen. She found out he had worked with his father (also Joseph) at a barber shop and then drove cabs after getting his license, he told her that's what he wanted to do when he got back to the states, driving wasn't just a job for him. Joe really enjoyed it, seeing the streets he grew up on and meeting all sorts of unique people. She knew he lived in San Francisco and was beginning to fall in love with his depiction of the city; she wanted to see it for herself.
Joe had asked her about her family, which she gladly yapped on about. He understood the closeness she held with her relatives and he found himself wishing he could meet them all one day. Bernadette proudly spoke of her new goddaughter; Gracie and Joe’s heart warmed at the thought of Birdie cradling a newborn. She went on to tell him about her childhood on the ranch, being raised with real live animals in her care gave her a great sense of responsibility.
It was well past midnight when the barkeep called for the last drink, the music was cut off and patrons started trickling out of the building, swaying their way home.
Their talk was cut short when the barkeep all but shoved them out, shaking his head at the pair before shutting the door in their faces, muttering about young couples.
Birdie checked her watch, it couldn't have been that late, they had only been there…. Five hours?! How had that happened? It was just past 4AM and neither of them had slept yet. Plus she and Joey had up and left all their friends and disappeared, there were bound to be some invasive questions. Birdie did not look forward to Toye and Guarnere’s reactions nor any of the ladies, especially Frankie.
“Joey…” She sounded out softly, gaining his attention. He turned to look at her and froze, the only light came from a nearby street lamp and the moon. The silvery glow did wonders for her. Joe wished he had a camera so he could document the events of this night, the dancing, the chatting and now her standing in the middle of a barely lit street with the moonlight reflecting in her eyes; he never wanted to forget it.
“It’s really late.” She spoke quietly, the world around them was asleep and she didn't want to risk waking it.
He could kiss her. It was the perfect moment, they had just shared an amazing evening, growing closer. And now, he was looking at her and she was looking at him and all he wanted to do was lean down and kiss her. Feel how soft her lips were, taste her and allow her to do the same.
He glanced down at her lips and back to her eyes, watching for recognition, did she feel it too?
Birdie saw his silent inquiry and her eyes widened, pupils dilated. She, too, flicked her gaze to his lips and back up, telling him to proceed.
It was the perfect moment and as Joe moved to lower himself to her, she let her heels raise, ever so slightly, onto her tiptoes to meet him halfway.
“Heeyyyyy. I know y-you guys- two. Both of you two. I know yoooou.” They broke apart, the trance worn out at the interruption, fading into embarrassment.
Nixon stumbled toward them, missing entirely and toppling over into a heap in the middle of the road.
Immediately, Bernadette was by his side, picking him up off the floor and attempting to balance the inebriated man. Nixon babbled incoherent nonsense, only one or two words could be understood. Joe would have laughed at the lieutenant but he was still processing the almost kiss.
She had leaned in, hadn’t she? Did he imagine that, surely not. No, she definitely would’ve kissed him back if only they had a few more seconds.
“Little help here, Joey?” Her voice called to him. Shaking his thoughts away, he joined her on the other side of Nixon, ducking under his arm and hoisting him up.
“Where are we taking you, lieutenant?” The question wasn’t answered as Nixon flopped over, unable to give the directions to the house he was billeted to.
“I know where we can take him. It’s not far.” Birdie told her Joey, and they set off down the road with the drunk held between them, pretending nothing had changed.
Except everything had. It was all either of them could think about, the almost kiss.
Birdie was lost in her own world. Should she have allowed it to get that far? They had both been drinking, surely the ability to think clearly had been blurred somewhat. Had he really wanted to kiss her or was he just tipsy and lonely? Did she really want to kiss him or was she just convinced she had a crush on the man? Was everything going to be weird with them now? Had this night messed up their friendship?
The house she was looking for came into view, she pointed it out to Joe and they brought the semi unconscious man to the doorstep, before she stepped forward, leaving Lewis to be held up by Joe and raised a hand to knock.
“Wait.” Joe whispered, “what if we wake someone?" Birdie gave him a pointed look and knocked at the door thrice.
“That’s kinda the point, Joey.” He just smiled at her use of the new nickname, that was a good sign. He hadn’t told her to stop using it or started to pushed her away, so maybe whatever was happening between them was still salvageable.
The front door swung open and revealed Richard Winters, he was bleary eyed and in his pajamas.
“Birdie? What are you doing here? It’s…” He checked his watch, “0440!” He then seemed to notice the two men behind her, one slumped over the other and sighed.
“Bring him in.”

A/N: ooo okay things are getting interesting! What do y'all think? Do you like the nicknames? I'm still not sure how I feel about them...
I guess Nixon has some perfect timing... Joe and Birdie- not so much

So I just watched the Miraculous Movie with my beloved @thatspazz and well... I have thoughts.
I am the local "Gabriel deserves better and by that I mean punishment and maybe learn to be a decent person" preacher and before I go on my rant about the movie and the season 5 finale, here is a drawing of Papillon I made after watching the movie as we ranted about the film. If you don't want spoilers, just keep moving after the drawing :)
Tumblr media
Spoilers and Rants below this cut
OK. Before I become the number one hater, I wanna talk about what I liked about both the movie and season 5s finale (Gabriel/Papillon specific). Gabriel's song was awful and I loved it, I am listening to it again ASAP because who let this man be goofy, I love it, I was slapping my friends leg in pure joy, it was so good.
I love the portrayal of Akumatisation in the Movie, even though i resent the butterfly miraculous being called evil, and I genuinely wish we get to see more. Akumatisation is one of my favourite parts of miraculous and I'm kinda mad we didn't get to see more but what we saw in the movie was great.
Gabriel's design in the movie took a little adjusting but I grew to really like it. His papillon design is mostly good, I'm not a massive fan of the mask but it just needed a little tweaking.
In the season 5 finale, monarch was menacing, like actually. I held my breath when he was stalking the mansion whilst marinette was detransformed. And the pure noise of panic I let out when he dragged her out by her leg!? AGH OH MY GOD
The whole fight between Monarch and BugNoire!? Mwah I also want to slam monarch with a piano.
Also, the part where Gabriel has been beaten and he's having a heart to heart with Marinette? All I'm saying is we could've done more with that. IM JUST SAYING!
OK. Negatives.
WHAT THE FUCK!? HUH!? WHO WROTE BOTH PAPILLON ENDINGS!? I MUST SHOOT THEM DEAD!
The season 5 finale let Gabriel get off scot free and it pisses me off. Poor Spazz has sat through so many angry rants about how I would've done his ending. When I told Gabriel I need him to kill himself I DIDNT MEAN LIKE THIS! HE WON! WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE SHOW!? HE LEARNT NOTHING AND GOT OFF SCOT FREE! IM SO MAD ABOUT IT! LIKE WHAT!? YOU SPEND 8 FUCKING YEARS BUILDING UP THIS EVIL TWAT OF A VILLAIN AND LET HIM GET OFF SCOT FREE!? I've only been a fan of the show for a year thanks to Spazz so I have speedran Gabriel's arc and even I'm upset. I've never had a show fuck up a villain so bad I switched sides to his defence.
And now the movie
THE FUCK YOU MEAN THE POWER OF LOVE!? HUH!? WHAT!? WE KNOW THAT GABRIEL IS READY TO FIGHTING GAME JUGGLE HIS SON AS CHAT NOIR SO WHATS STOPPING HIM NOW!? ALSO, NITPICK BUT ITS CLEAR THAT GABRIEL IS TRYING TO BRING BACK HIS WIFE FOR HIMSELF AND NOT FOR ADRIEN BUT IS USING IT AS JUSTIFICATION FOR HIMSELF SO WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THAT WHOLE "waaaah I'm sorry I was a terrorist and abused you boo womp :("
So, that's both the movie and the show fucking up Gabriel... I really hope the special does Good Gabriel some justice or I will become the next Papillon and become a terrorist.
But yeah, movie sucked dick and this show fucking sucks
Can't wait for season 6 :) (i do actually like this show but it's a love hate relationship)

Camp Know Where
Tumblr media
Dustin. Dustin Henderson, A teenager who's a genius and helps his friend to save the world with his knowledge. Dustin was a cute guy, you didn't know why he had a girlfriend yet. I mean being cute and smart with a side of humour? He's perfect.
M/N. M/N L/N, A nerd and the same grade as Dustin. Just a random kid who has anger issues. Sure, he was smart and all but with his anger he's probably not boyfriend material. But he's trying his best.
The two were never close, M/N didn't have any friends since he was 'harsh' or awkward to people, so he gave up on having friends. He just wants to live a peaceful life.
Dustin however notices M/N from time to time. He doesn't wanna talk to M/N since he doesn't pry into people's business'.
How about we change that?
🧢
M/N's POV:
I can't believe I had to wear this slippery shoes. I literally have so many shoes to wear but my parents made me wear this!
I swear I really wanted to snap right then and there but I would've got scolded and having to deal with them for even more was hell.
While I was rushing to class I almost fell to the ground if it weren't for my instincts. I stand properly and look at the guy I bumped into.
He wore a hat and he also had curly hair, it was tempting to touch it but given in the current situation you would've shaved his hair.
"Watch it, Nitwit!" I yell at him.
"Jeez! Sorry. I was in a rush, okay?"
"Well, yeah. Me too." I rolled my eyes and walked to your class.
Timeskip
After school ended, I took my skates and skated home. I knew that my parents wouldn't pick me up today so I brought my skates since walking was tiring.
When I finally arrived at my destination, I took off my skates and opened the door. I went to the shelf and placed it there. I walked to my room and sat down at my desk.
I took my bag and opened it then took out my homework. I took a pen and started to do homework. Doing homework while listening to music was my favourite thing to do. I love homework, homework is easy to do and relaxing if you understand it.
Homework doesn't anger me that much unlike the majority of people I come across.
Then 8 minutes later, I finished my homework. Huh, that was fast. Usually I finish after 10 minutes. Well, this is a new record.
I took the sheets and placed them into my bag then took my notebook or my notes. I either review my notes or write some notes about the lessons. My memory was good, so school was easy for me.
People usually call me a nerd, which isn't really hurtful because at least I get called intelligent in a way. But when they keep calling me nerd like every minute, it gets really repetitively annoying.
Those types of people really make me want to harm them, but I know that I'm not strong so I just either shout at them or listen to music.
Then I heard someone knocking, taking me back to reality. "M/N, sweetie, me and your father have news for you." Mom said. I took out my headphones and walked to the living room.
"You called me?" I sat down next to them.
"You know that school is almost ending right?"
"Uhm, yes?" I look at them, confused.
"So me and your dad decided to take you to.. Camp Know Where."
I stare at them blankly.
"What is a Camp Know Where?"
They then explain to me about the camp.
"So, do you wanna go or not? We can cancel if you want to."
I then think about it. Maybe I should go, I don't have anything to do during summer break anyway.
"Okay, fine. I'll go."
They smiled and said I can continue what I was doing. I then go to my room and clean it.
🧢
"M/N! Wake up!"
I hear my dad yell. I groan and look at my ceiling. I stared at it for a while then sat up. I took off some dirt on my eyelashes and stood up then stretched.
"M/N, hurry up, we're gonna be late!"
My eyes widened and started to dress up.
I took the things I needed and placed it in my bag. I got out of my room and placed my bag on a chair to brush my teeth.
After I was done, I took some tissues and wiped my mouth. I took my bag and went inside the car.
"What took you so long?" Mom asked me.
"I had to prepare the stuff I needed."
"You didn't prepare it last night?"
"I didn't know it was today!" I rolled my eyes.
"Don't you dare roll your eyes at me, young man."
I just ignored her and played some music.
timeskip
I walked out of the car and ran to the camp. I saw lots of kids and a few adults. The adults saw me and smiled at me. "Hello! How about you introduce yourself? You're the only one who didn't introduce yourself to anyone."
You took a deep breath and walked beside the adults. "I'm M/N L/N. I'm 13 years old, I like music and studying." I look at the ground.
"Is that it?"
"Yes."
"Okay.. How about you sit with the other kids?"
I nod.
After that, they announced about us having roommates and that each room has 3 beds for 3 students in one room. And guess who was my roommate? The nitwit with a hat, oh also your other roommate was a girl named Suzie.
Me and Dustin were walking to the room.
"I didn't know you were a nerd." He said, trying to strike a conversation.
"Is there a problem with that, nerd?"
"No. Nope. Just didn't expect to see you here."
"Neither did I, nerd."
He stayed quiet and kept walking. We finally reached our room. Room 10. I took out the keys they gave us and opened the door. I went in first, then the nerd went in after but thankfully he locked the door.
I took out my stuff and placed it to my side of the room. I took some clothes and went to the bathroom so that I could change into the Camp Know Where uniform.
After I was done, I noticed the girl wasn't here yet.
I sat on my bed. They said we could do what we want for today, But I didn't know what to do. I looked at Dustin who was laying down on his bed.
"Nerd." I called him.
He sat up and faced me.
"Yeah?"
"C'mon, let's go and walk."
He stood up and held my shoulder. "Are you sure? We could get lost, y'know."
"Do you think I'm dumb?" I raised my eyebrow and crossed my arms.
"No..?"
"Then follow me." I demanded and held his hand.
Unbeknownst to me, he was blushing.
We went outside and I saw a girl between two tree's that was behind the campus.
"Hello?" I called her.
She flinched and ran.
"Wait up!" I yelled and ran while still holding Dustin's hand. "Why are we running?" He yelled. "I saw a girl who wore the same uniform as us!" I replied.
The girl stopped running and she relaxed outside of the shed. I didn't know there was a shed here.
"Who are you and what do you want?" She asked me. I looked at her and gasped. Damn, she's hotter than Phoebe Cates.
"I"m M/N L/N and this guy with a hat is Dustin Henderson. We were just taking a walk and I saw you. I got worried that you might get lost so I followed you." I tried to strike a reassuring smile.
She chuckles. She then took a deep breath and patted for me to sit in the space beside her. Me and Dustin look at each other. We smiled and I sat at her right while Dustin sat on her left.
"I'm Suzie Bingham. Say, why are you guys here?" She looked at us.
We then talked about our interests, past, etc. It was actually fun, and I thought I wouldn't have friends. Maybe this time will be different.
🧢
Today we had to make something. Luckily they gave us a lot of tools to use. Dustin made a rocketship while Suzie made something that could help her communicate with Me and Dustin even if we're far away.
While I made a mini camera, well I don't know what to call it or compare it to. Basically I can put this little thing to someone and I could see what they do and I can also hear them.
But I need a device to attach it to so I can see and hear what they're doing. Now that I think about it, I just made a tool for stalkers to use. Whatever, I'll just give it to Dustin and Suzie.
But I haven't decided how far the thing can work, because I can't just put it in someone in California and expect it to work. So, Maybe I need to work on that.
But the main problem is what device can I attach it to? I don't have a computer or something. Hmm, Let me check the shed where me and Suzie met.
I doubt there's a computer there but let's hope there is.
"Ooh, What is that M/N?"
I flinch. I looked to see who said that. It was one of the adults. She had red hair and brown eyes. "Oh, um, I don't know how to explain it yet. But maybe after a week I can give you an answer?" I awkwardly smile at her.
She gave me a confused look but nodded anyway. After she left me alone I sighed. Why can't she just leave me alone? She looked so annoying.
After we done everything they told us to do, They wanted for us to sleep since it was already getting dark.
But I needed to finish my project. So, I snuck out and I obviously brought something to protect myself. But I didn't know my two roommates followed me.
Luckily my escape was successful. I ran to the shed and thankfully I knew where it was because I made some signs for me to notice where the shed is.
When I finally reached the shed I panted. I'm not really used to running. I then felt a hand touch my shoulder. I panicked and immediately pinned down the person. I almost put the knife in their neck when I heard:
"Wait! Wait! It's us!"
It was Dustin and Suzie. I look at him and to Suzie. "What the hell are you doing here?" I held Dustin's head and moved next to mine.
"Me and Dustin were worried about you. We thought you were gonna leave." Suzie defended Dustin.
"Oh." I let go of Dustin's face. "Well, I needed to do something. But you two should go back to our room because it might take a long time to finish." I then stood up and went inside the shed.
I turned on the light and saw them behind me. I glare at them and cross my arms. "Leave now."
"No, we're not leaving you. We need to make sure you're safe." Dustin said.
I look at them in disbelief. "You know what? Whatever." I then go back inside the shed to see a computer. I smile. Yes! It works.
But then I noticed that it's a bit damaged but it can still be fixed. "Guys. Can you help me fix the computer?" They look at me and check out the computer.
"But where's the tools?" Suzie asked. I looked at the shed and saw some tools. I ran to the tools and held it up. "Here!"
We then start fixing. It took 2 hours but at least it was successful. I smile and jump in happiness. I hugged Dustin and Suzie. "Thank you, guys!" And they hugged me back in response.
But Dustin couldn't help but feel jealous. He had a crush on Suzie but he only wanted you to hug him, smile at him, thank him. Why did you have to hug Suzie? Weren't you his first friend?
"So why did you need the computer?" He asked me.
"I made this device where it's like a camera and a tracker at the same time! I needed a device to attach it to or it wouldn't work."
They looked at each other and looked at me.
"It's weird, I know. But think on the brighter side, You can solve crimes, You can know if your partner is cheating on you, You can know if your friends are talking bad about you."
I sat down, Then Dustin and Suzie took a seat and sat beside me. Dustin on my left, Suzie on my right. "Dustin, Suzie, take this." I gave them the small tracker and they looked confused at it. "Um, Dustin put it on your hat." Dustin listened to your instruction and placed it on his hat.
I then did something to attach it then, it worked. There was the location of where Dustin was and I can see what the tracker was seeing.  "Holy shit!"
Then the computer repeated it. Suzie looked amazed. "You're a genius, M/N!" She complimented me.
I blushed and smiled at her. "Thanks.."
Dustin wasn't happy with what he was witnessing. He hated when you and Suzie talked to each other or looking at each other. He wanted you to focus on him. Just him. Only him.
🧢
While I was exploring Camp Know Where, I found a lake. After checking if it had any germs or bacteria, it turns out it was a safe lake to swim in. Maybe you should swim there.
It was nighttime, but the adults let all of you have some fun for a bit. Suzie was changing her clothes while I led Dustin to the lake I found.
"Are you sure it's safe?" Dustin asked.
"Well, obviously. Do you think I'm a killer?" I then start to take off my shirt. Dustin gasped and looked away.
"What's the problem? We're both boys. Well, if you're gay, just tell me."
"What? No! I'm not gay!"
I gave him a blank stare and continued to strip off my clothes. I then jump in the lake. Dustin panicked and ran close to the lake to check if I was there. I then pull him to the lake. "Hey!"
I chuckle. "Why'd you do that?"
"Well, you were so close I couldn't wait."
I giggle. After 10 minutes me and Dustin were floating. We just kept talking since we didn't have the energy to swim.
"So, you mentioned having a friend group? Tell me about them." I said.
"The first one is, Will. He enjoys playing dnd with us. Oh, did I mention he died and came back to life!"
"No way that's possible."
"It's possible, alright! Oh, then there's Mike and Lucas. Mike has this girl.. El. And Lucas is dating this girl Max."
"Max? Is that a girl or a boy?"
"She's a girl."
"So, do you have a girlfriend?"
"Nah. Don't think I can get a girl with the way I look."
"What?"
I stopped floating and stood up then swam near Dustin. "What do you mean 'The way you look?' You look cute."
"Yeah right."
I glare at him.
"You look cute, Dustin. Imagine being smart, cute, and humorous. You're a perfect boyfriend, Dustin!"
Dustin stopped floating. "Says who?"
"Says me."
"With the way my teeth looks I don't think any girl will like a guy like me."
"What do you mean? The way your teeth looks makes you uniqueThat's what makes you cute. If a girl doesn't like you, then they're dumb. They'll never get a boyfriend as amazing as you."
Dustin looks at me. I noticed some love in his eyes. I then leaned closer. I didn't know what I was doing. I closed my eyes and kissed him. Luckily he kissed back.
After a while I moved away. "Wow. I.. don't know what to say."
"Neither do I."
Then we heard someone running. "Guys, we have to come back to our rooms!" It was Suzie! "Uh.. We'll be there! Give us a minute!" Me and Dustin got out of the lake then went back to our rooms. Not saying a word to each other.
🧢
Today we had to make something but we needed to do it with a partner. And guess who was my partner? Dusty-bun, or Dustin Henderson. Sadly, Suzie wasn't our partner even though we begged them to make it in a group of three. But they refused.
Me and Dustin were brainstorming and what we had to do. I told him what I wanted to make but he refused. He told me what he wanted to make but I refused.
So we had to make something that we both agreed upon. After a while we finally had something to create. While we were doing it, we barely talked to each other.
We're still shy about what happened at the lake. It was so sudden. I was a guy. Dustin was a guy. It feels wrong, yet right at the same time. I thought I liked Suzie but I like Dustin too. Who do I really like?
Ugh. Shut up M/N, Love isn't the most important thing in life. I can figure it out later. Like I always do. But, thinking about it still makes me wonder. Am I gay, or Am I straight?
I have to choose one. I can't just pick two genders to like. That's not right. Right? I don't even know what I'm talking about. I just want this to get over with.
Timeskip
While I was sketching and writing notes in the woods I felt someone touch my thigh. "Hey, What the hell are you doing?!" I almost punched someone until I heard a familiar scream.
"Dustin? You gotta stop scaring me or else I'll hurt you for real."
"Sorry. Sorry." He apologises.
"What are you doing here?"
"I just wanted to hang out with you. You know, alone."
"The way you say it is so weird, please be careful of your choice of words."
"Sorry! But, do you want to.. Hang out or just talk?"
"I don't really feel like walking so let's just talk."
We both lay down at the grass and look at the sky.
"So.. Do you like me?" Dustin asks.
"I don't know.. I like you but I like Suzie too. I don't know who I like more.. Sorry I can't give you an answer right now."
"Well.. Why do you like Suzie?"
"I don't know.. She's a certified genius, She's hotter than Phoebe Cates, and she's really nice."
"Why do you like me?"
"You're super smart, cute, loveable, funny,  you're welcoming and logical. The way your face lights up when you discover something new, The way you look at me, the way you smile." I unconsciously smile. But of course, Dustin noticed it.
"Maybe you like me more than Suzie. It seems like you only see her as a friend. Besides, it seems like you feel way more comfortable with me than with her."
I face him.
"To be honest, I wish you liked me instead of her. We're definitely more compatible and better for each other. In fact we might be even the world's best couple! I mean what do you and Suzie have in common anyway."
I start to think about it. Maybe Dustin's right. Maybe we belong to each other. I can't help but feel that I hear a voice in my head saying that Dustin was bad or he's not to be trusted.
But no, Dustin isn't like that. He wouldn't do anything bad to me right? He wouldn't force me to do what I hate, right? Unlike my ex best friends.
"You're right, Dustin. Maybe, I do like you." I smiled at him and we both sat up. I pulled my knees close to me and looked at Dustin. "So.. Are we together now?"
"Yeah. I think so."
I smile at him.
"Um, by the way, I want to give you my hat. Camp is almost ending. In case you're going somewhere far away, You'll have something to remind you about me."
I take his hat and looked at it, then looked at him.
"Thanks.." I blush and put it on.
Little did you know, he only gave that to you for him to know what you're doing
At
All
Times.
"I made this device where it's like a camera and a tracker at the same time!"
"Holy shit!" Then the computer repeated it.
"You're a genius, M/N!"
I blushed and smiled at her. "Thanks.."
little did I know. Dustin planned this. All along.
🧢
Camp Know Where has already ended. You knew that you would miss Suzie, she was an amazing friend. But not to worry, Dustin knew how to communicate with her so you can just ask him.
But when you asked him how he did or how to do it, He wouldn't tell you. He'd just say: "You don't need to talk to Suzie. I can just talk to her for you."
You didn't know why he'd get defensive all of a sudden but you shrugged it off.
You three met up at the gate. You saw Suzie running towards you two. "Suzie!" You yelled and hugged her. You two shed a tear. "I'll miss you, Suzie."
"Me too, M/N. I hope we can see each other again in the future. Promise me you'll keep in contact?"
"I promise, Suzie."
You two smile at each other. Suzie stopped hugging you and walked to Dustin. "I'll miss you too, Dusty-bun." They hugged each other and it seemed like they were whispering something, sadly you couldn't hear it.
She took your hand and hugged you two. She then rambled about meeting up in the future. Dustin didn't mind meeting up with Suzie again in the future, but he just wants Suzie and you to not be too close.
You, however, wanted to be neighbours with her and be close friends. You were upset that she lived so far from Hawkins. Then Suzie's ride arrived. She ran to the car but didn't forget to wave you two goodbye.
Then your ride arrived. You walked towards the car but turned back to look at Dustin. His mother hasn't arrived yet. She'll probably take a long time to arrive.
You walk towards him, "Hey, Dustin, do you wanna come with us?"
"Huh? Are you sure?"
"Yeah, at least your mom will take a break. My mom will drive you to your house." You smiled at him. Dustin thinks about it and nods.
You two get in the car and talk all day long.
Timeskip
You and Dustin's relationship is really decent but you noticed he's been overprotective. Whenever you have to go somewhere he always reminds you to wear his hat at all times.
You didn't know why but just listened anyway. But sometimes he annoys you. You try to control your anger issues but it's just really hard.
But you noticed he's been.. Manipulative. You tried to understand why he's like this.
Dustin on the other hand wanted you all for himself. Why couldn't you understand that? You know, when the two of you were 18 years old, Dustin immediately demanded for you and him to be roommates.
He wanted you to share rooms with him but you denied, saying that: "We both need privacy." Which confused Dustin. But hey at least, you were all his. Not to anyone, not to yourself but his.

supernatural s11e3 the bad seed (w. brad buckner, eugenie ross-leming)
who brought the janky subaru to the mega coven? rowena looking fabulous per usual. oh, i guess she's in a ... scrapyard? keeping it classy
i think i might need to go back to being a little bit high to watch this show. downside is it messes with my ability to remember a bit more than my usual garbage memory (though it is mostly offset by making these posts). upside.. easier to let things roll off my back.
SAM Well, God kicked this thing's ass once before, right? DEAN Yeah, it'd be nice if he put down the Mai Tai and show up for work. CASTIEL I wouldn't count on it. SAM It's possible he's around. Closer than we think, you know? DEAN What makes you say that?
dean not talking about his ~bond~ with the darkness, sam not saying how he had some freaky flashbacks after praying to god. and almost dying from the zombie juice. sigh. i don't like complaining this much either!
DEAN Come on, Crowley, pick up. I've left you a dozen messages. Why isn't he answering the phone? SAM Because he's a dick, and that's not breaking news.
lol good one, sam
DEAN You know where you are? What's the date? CASTIEL Earth. Several billion years from the beginning.
there's the snarky cas i can get behind
i am 90% convinced they foley'd in a sloshing sound when he initially sat up, but the clinking chains and the groaning has me not totally sure
Tumblr media
LOL sam pulling his hand back slowly during this explanation. also good job with the captioning an accented e netflix :p
little angel and demon worker bee bonding at the bar about the bosses being useless, how very good omens
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
using my boop boop 10+ year makeup fixation i'm like, I KNOW THIS.
Tumblr media
that ultra thin compact design is unusual and screams luxury. searching the brain archives and i'm fairly certain that's a marc jacobs bronzer or contour compact. not that i ever bought or used one. but 2015 for sure was still in the thick of the fixation which included lots of beauty youtube
anyway.
CROWLEY That's God for you. Not really thought out. The whole big bang thing? More of a big bust. I mean, boom, bang, stars, evolution, Taylor Swift. I'm guessing you'd have done things differently.
again, how does this jive with other gods?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
getups are reminding me of the airport scene disguises in 12 monkeys (1995) crossed with dodgson from jurassic park. i know it's all generic but brain's always trying to find connections
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
very nice handwritten instructions they left cas with
Tumblr media
ooh a slightly messy desktop, zooming in with glee. *come on, untitled 1 and 2, make a comeback!* shame. but it's all on-brand. and that chonky hard drive, 1.5+TB
i know the fetishizing asian women is dean's Thing, but could we please PLEASE fucking drop it.
Tumblr media
are we gonna odd couple our way to all work together against amara?
Tumblr media
i thought he was familiar, it's rafe from the magicians!
Tumblr media
the magicians s2e13 we have brought you little cakes - sergio osuna as rafe
ROWENA You wouldn't think a road trip with two such strapping lads could be this tedious. Shall we have a wee sing-song?
oh, see, sam is not telling dean so many things i've lost track. almost dying and talking to god and getting an answer-ish, deal with rowena to remove the mark paid with crowley's (unsuccessful) death, what else
SAM Look, I was gonna tell you. Obviously, nothing ever came of it, so I-I figured there was no point, you know? DEAN No point, huh? ROWENA I-I mean, I see what Dean's saying. Your wee pal Castiel wouldn't be in this pickle if you'd done what you'd promised. I would've had no reason to cast the attack dog spell if Crowley were already dead. Excellent point. DEAN It's not my point. Sam knows my point. Keyword -- secrets. ROWENA Ah, well, I'm just glad I got the conversation flowing. Family relations are a speciality of mine.
can we just get rowena to spill the beans on all their bullshit lies and be done with it?
Tumblr media
this show will make any excuse to beat the shit out of dean and get him on his knees, bleeding
SAM Hey. You should keep applying that. DEAN Thanks, mom. You just keep the beers comin'.
like you wouldn't nag sam the same way
CASTIEL Dean, I can fix that. DEAN No, no. It's fine, Cas. Besides, I had it comin'.
doing penance, how very dean. had it comin for what now? trying to scroll through dean's latest fuckups but keeping track of his with sam and the world at large (and sam with him and the world) and castiel apparently is Too Much.
ah i didn't notice until scrolling through the trivia bits on the wiki that jackles directed this one too

This was not what I expected at all
Steddie | Steve x Eddie | sm ut ns fw 18
Steve laid there, his eyes closed, hands gripping the sheets on an old very creaky bed, in a room inside an old trailer, with posters and an electric guitar...
Tumblr media
Getting blown by Eddie Munson to kingdom come.
"Oh shit!" Steve did not expect this. At all. "Just... Oooh fuck!!!" Steve screamed as he cummed. And cummed hard he did. The head he was getting was really really good.
He continued panting and moaning. It's the best blowjob he ever had. And he did not expect it to come from a guy. Specially a guy like Eddie Munson.
He had questioned himself before. He gets attracted to both girls and boys. But he just didn't acknowledge it. He only ever go for girls. Never another boy. But Eddie was different.
Steve had been single for quite some time and Robin was rooting for him to finally go and date someone. Robin had been telling him to ask Eddie out for weeks now. How she learned he was bi, Steve would never know.
She just kept making ways so that Steve and Eddie would end up sitting next to each other or end up being partnered together or alone together. Then she'd ask what happened afterwards.
Turned out Steve didn't have to do much. One day, Eddie asked him.
Asked him out.
It took him a while to answer, effectively giving Eddie the scare that he was being rejected. Eddie was about to take it back and walk away.
Eddie is... awesome. Pretty cool. Adorable and cute. And there was this thing of going through the whole upsidedown together. After that, they've become pretty close to each other. And he found himself hanging out with Dustin and Eddie and their DnD gang often. Though Steve didn't play. He just sat there and watched them.
"Hey, big boy!" Eddie was snapping his fingers to get Steve's attention. "I thought I sucked you too hard there that you finally went insane. You were just staring to nothingness there... was I that good?" Eddie was wiggling his eyebrows as he laid next to Steve.
Watched how Eddie have so much passion and fun for the game.
And the thought of losing that finally pushed Steve to answer yes to going out with Eddie.
"Shut up." Steve wiped his sweaty forehead with the back of his hand. "... but that was really good."
"Yeah, I could tell." Eddie was having fun seeing how flustered Steve was.
Then he started laughing.
"Wh-What?" Steve started to worry.
"I don't know. Just.. I find it funny."
"What's funny?"
"You and me. Who would've thought that Steve Harrington, a popular guy, would end up with a freak like me..."
Eddie trailed off as he sat up and grabbed Steve by the waist.
"And... be a bottom to me?"
Eddie suddenly turned Steve on his stomach.
"Can't help it." Eddie held him in place, Eddie lifted his hips up until his butt is up on the air, ready for the taking.
"H-Hey! You said just oral tonight!" Steve tried to turn on his back again.
Tumblr media
Steve yelped as Eddie slapped his butt. Steve then felt Eddie shower his back with kisses and sucks. Starting from his butt, to the dips on his lower back, trailing up to his shoulder blades and finally to his neck.
"Ed-Eddie, no hickeys, we talked about this!" Steve remembered the day he went to work with his neck covered in hickeys.
"I wanna show them someone owns you." Eddie kept leaving marks on Steve's neck. "You belong to me, right? Big boy?"
"Hn-ah!... Yeah. Yeah, Eddie."
"Good."
Steve then heard Eddie rummage through his bedside drawer, probably for some rubber and lube. He gulped and darted his tongue to wet his lips. He knew this already. He knew how it felt. They've done this quite a lot of times now. And he knows it's gonna be really good. He couldn't wait that he let a moan escape his mouth.
"Ooh, excited huh?" Eddie said as he slipped on the rubber and let lube fall down on Steve's hole.
Steve felt himself get hard again. The anticipation building like this is too much.
"Fuck it, Eddie! Stop teasing!"
"Okay, okay. Hold on." Eddie started prepping Steve. One. Then two fingers. Out. And then started lining up his dick. "Fucking it... now."
Eddie said as he pushed into Steve. Going slowly past the tight ring of muscles and then deep enough to hit that pleasurable bundle of nerves. Making Steve moan out load, stringing curses with it.
"Ooh, lookie what we have here." Eddie reached over to Steve's dick and grabbed it.
"Fu-ahhh-ck!!!" Steve shut his eyes tight. Very ready. He knows he's gonna have the fucking of his life. Again.
Eddie grinned. He then started pumping Steve's dick and started pounding in and out faster. He loves the sounds Steve makes when they do it. It turns him on so much more. And when Steve clenches as he comes, it felt even better. He wanted to get to that soon.
"Oh, Steve. You feel so fucking good, ahh!" Eddie's thrusts dragged slower but deeper. He knows Steve likes it this way. It's more about the tempo. The tempo he has learned and memorized through the 2 months they've been together.
"Eddie... coming... agai-ahhh!" Steve just blew his load onto the sheets. He then kept bucking uncontrollably from the orgasm. Clenching.
"Oh, yeah! Fuck!" Eddie thrusted faster and faster as he felt that familiar clench. Eddie threw his head back, his hair trashing back, as he moaned louder and cummed after Steve.
The sounds of moans, grunts, pants, skin slapping against skin, and that creaking of the bed went silent as the two steadied after the deed. Falling onto the bed, all spent.
Steve had to move a bit to avoid the 'puddle' he made on the bed.
"That stain is on you." Eddie laughed.
"And it's your fault." Steve said, playing with Eddie's hair.
"Always my fault." Eddie grinned.
He grabbed Steve closer to hug and cuddle. Turning him around to little spoon him.
"I love you, Steve Harrington."
"I love you too, Eddie."
They were ready to sleep through the night when a loud banging hit the trailer door. The couple sat up suddenly.
"Eddie!!!"
"Is that-"
"Dustin!" Eddie finished the sentence for Steve. "...Oh crap!"
"W-What?!?"
"It's... campaign night. I forgot!"
Dustin kept knocking and calling. "Eddie, come on man! We were waiting!"
Then they heard clinking and clanking.
"Oh he's breaking in!" Steve and Eddie hurried to get dressed.
"Eddie, man, let's go-oh." Dustin saw Steve just get his shirt on, and Eddie, still shirtless.
"H-Hey there!" Eddie just casually continued getting his shirt on.
"... Oh, come on!!! I have nothing against you two dating and woo-hoo-ing, but please, not on campaign night!!!"

Chapter 36: HELLO_WORLD
It was a bit of a cooler day than the ones recent to memory, even the robot could tell that. It made sense, however. Summer was finally starting to end, and the cooler and more bearable season of fall would be upon them. It was still a little crazy to think the clan had been here for about half a year. Surely the government was resting well on their earth, smug about the fact they got rid of the toppats for good. Oh, Platinum couldn't wait to hear what they had to say when the toppats got back.
Something felt…a little off about today though. He didn't know why. He felt like he was supposed to be remembering something but no one seemed to have any idea what he could be forgetting. What's more, Hat Girl was able to get some of the others to visit the place. There was no reason why, just 'Hey, come over'. It was strange but Platinum didn't want to question it. He finally got to show Adalyn around, and it was fun watching her steal things from the members while invisible.
As the day went on, he briefly saw Snatcher and Cooking Cat at one point. But they didn't seem to notice him and didn't seem like they wanted to be seen by him. Did he upset them somehow?
Maybe they just had to get some sort of work done, who knows? Platinum knew Snatcher had something happen recently in his forest. Didn't know the exact details, just faintly overheard that something happened while Macbeth was talking with Burt. As for Cooking Cat, she could be talking to anyone about anything. He didn't know her too well and hadn't tried much. Part of him was still annoyed about the cruise when she managed to figure out about his crush on Van…
He didn't let those thoughts stop him during the day. Even if the question of why things seemed off kept swimming around his mind like a fish in a bowl. It was afternoon now, getting late. They had headed to Hat Girl's room just to vibe. They pulled out a card game and you think Platinum, being a robot, would have an advantage. No, he was just struggling the whole time. In his defense, the random noise in the background didn't help his focus.
"Ugh, I can't get this phase for the life of me. Couldn't we have just played uno?" Platinum asked as he sat his cards down on the floor, leaning back a bit as Mu rolled her eyes nearby. He gave her a glare. "Don't give me that look. You got your phases in the first three turns easily!"
"She just got lucky, darling." DJ Grooves said as he pulled Dianna closer to him, gently. Apparently the mother was busy that day so the little penguin had to come with him, which no one minded. Apparently Hat Girl had also invited the Conductor's grandkids but they were all going to be busy with stuff today. Why didn't she just invite them for a later date? "Oh, speaking of which. Hat Girl, darling. Do you have a special someone yet? You're about that age."
"Don't rush me Grooves. I'll find her and tell her when I get the chance." Hat Girl said as she led back, before Platinum rose a brow briefly before smiling. "Oh yea, I'm lesbian. Didn't want to tell anyone until I was fully sure. I already told our Dads, would've told you too but you were busy with Van at the time, brother." Hat Girl said, glancing at Platinum with a smile. She gave a chuckle. "What's with that look in your eyes. You promised them you would be there that night."
"Well first, congrats on coming out. And second, our normal way back from that area of the woods was blocked by a fallen tree, so we had to go the long way." Platinum stated, rolling his eyes but giving a slight smile. Hat Girl went to say something else and he held up his hand to cut her off, giving a tiny chuckle. "And before you ask 'Couldn't you just, gotten back on the path after the tree', don't you remember from my first powering on how weird with my choices I can be?"
"Huh, to be honest I forgot you had to be powered on for a 'first time.'" Stated Adalyn from nearby while Hat Girl shrugged to Platinum's question. Platinum looked at the lazy paw gang member as he shrugged and got on Hat Girl's bed, rubbing his sleeves a bit to get some dirt off. To be honest, he kinda forgot at times he had a first 'power on'. "What was it like? Did you go try to break into a vault or something in the first, like, five minutes of you existing?"
"From what I heard of the story, no." Van said for Platinum, rubbing their arm as they took a small step back from the group. Platinum got up and headed over to them, pulling out the chair by his sister's dresser and letting them sit in it. Maybe it didn't help, but Platinum knew Van got shy easily in situations with people they didn't know well. "Thanks Platy.." Van said before sighing. "I, think he freaked out a bit actually."
"Huh, why am I not surprised." Conductor stated nearby, the card game they were playing having been forgotten by this point. Platinum started to head over to a small stack of books currently on his sister's dresser, maybe he could read one while they did something else. Considering how fast he discrated them from the game, it would probably be best to stay out of it. "Well, lad. What did happen. You can't just mention stuff like that and not expect us to be a wee bit curious.”
"Plus, it wasn't like you were aware before turning on the first time, right?" Mu asked. "I'm a little curious with someone just, coming into existence with the intelligence of a teen."
"Why would that be something of… actually now that I think about it, that does seem like a crisis waiting to happen." DJ Grooves said after having to pull Deinna back before she could begin to climb up to one of Hat Girl's relics, him briefly apologizing to the alien as he did so. Platinum glanced at Van who gave a shrug, not really sure on, anything. "How did you handle it? Were you ever used before you were you?"
"He was, but he doesn't really have too many memories of back then, from what he's told me and our Dads." Hat Girl said as Platinum gave a nod. She then glanced over at Platinum, and patted a spot on the bed beside her with one hand while motioning for him to come over with the other. She gave a smile as he just blinked. "Come on, I'm a little curious myself, never heard the full story. I just know Dad was glad he decided to turn you on before we met."
"Yea, I am too looking back. Wouldn't have been a good first impression." Platinum glanced at Van, who was looking up at him in a bit of curiosity. He then sighed. "Well, I guess I have time to explain a bit."
He walked over to his sister and sat down, jokingly pushing her aside, gently of course. As he began to think of how to start, he found himself pausing. Briefly glancing at his sister. It was funny, it was so easy for him to not exist as who he was now. He was also one of dozens, maybe hundreds of topbots. It was so easy for it not to have been him. To never feel the joy of being alive…
It was, scary when he thought about it. Which was more often they others may think.
"Alright, now let's get one thing straight. Like you all, I was curious about the exact details of my creation, so this first part will be what I got from my wonderful creator and father. If it's not exactly what happened." He shrugged. "Sucks for you, because again, I wasn't there."
"Platinum." Mu said with some frustration as the robot chuckled. And after a moment, begin to recount the tale of his creation…
It was around a little over three years ago, the evening that started his creation. Back when they were still on the airship, the orbital station only beginning to be worked on. Back when Right Hand Man had no clue one day half his body would be replaced by metal. Back before they knew one day they would be stranded on an alien planet by the government. Back before it seemed that one man came and almost managed to turn the clan's lives around for the worst…
It had been a busy week for the leader and his right hand at the time, so since they finally got some downtime, they decided to spend the night with their daughter. Sure, they tried to do this even when they were working, but this week made that near impossible. Lots of things to do and very little time. So it was in order, at least in Reginald's mind. And Hat Kid was happy, just messing around with the two all night long.
Although near the end Reginald had noticed something off. She didn't really talk about what she did the past week, something she normally did when they had the time for these talks. She loved to talk about what little messes her and the other kids got into.
"So Hattie, Mr. Macbeth said he caught some kids gluing glitter all over the walls despite the fact they know they aren't supposed to." Reginald said, glancing over at the girl who glanced to the side. He didn't mean to put her on the spot, but he was just curious and wanted to see if he could get her to talk. "He didn't give me any names, but it seemed like something you and the others would do." Reginald stated as Hat Kid nodded. "Were you one of them?"
"No… Even if I wanted to, they wouldn't let me." Hat Kid said, looking at Reginald with an innocent expression. Reginald paused what he was doing, and glanced over at his husband, who looked to confirm he caught the wording as well. Reginald turned back to Hat Kid, who was whistling. Must have realized what she said. She then glanced at them. "Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have stickers on my face or something."
"Why did ya phrase it like t'at?" Right Hand Man asked, being careful to have his voice in a more gentle tone as he came over, raising a brow. "Because t'ey knew you would get in trouble, and you were our kid?"
"Maybe? I'm not really sure." Hat Kid explained, before covering his mouth and mumbling something about not wanting them to be in trouble. Reginald led Hat Kid over to the couch in their room and had her sit down with him, Right Hand Man following. It took a second of silent reassurance that nothing bad would happen, before she sighed. "The kids haven't been playing with me lately. I'm not mad I just, don't get why?"
"Have you tried talking to them?" Reginald asked, and Hat Kid gave a small nod. He sighed, glancing to the side for a moment. Was it because she was getting older? She was about twelve, almost a teenager but not quite yet. He remembered his time in that awkward state, wasn't the best. He glanced down and slightly readjusted his daughter's hat. "I'm sure they'll let you play with them again eventually. And in the impossible chance they don't, you can start hanging with the teens."
"I've tried that, they won't let me either." Hat Kid said, sighing. "Something about 'getting hurt' or something, I dunno…" She yawned.
"Oh, I didn't even realize the time. Why don't you go get ready for bed?" Reginald said after he took a glance at the clock, it was already a bit past Hat Kid's normal bedtime. Luckily, she rarely put up a fuss when she was told that and this wasn't one of those rare moments. With a nod she said bye and left the room. Once the door was closed and a few seconds had passed, he turned to his husband. "I should have noticed something was up."
"Reg, don't start on yerself, she understands we're busy." Right Hand Man said, getting up with a stretch as he went to go take care of the little bit of paperwork they had left from that day. They already had to give a lot to Sven this week, so they didn't want to toss more. The man needed a break. Right glanced over his shoulder as he worked. "Still, I do find it a little strange. Is t'is normal? Ya know I wouldn't know."
"Maybe?" Reginald asked with a shrug, going over and unbuttoning his overshirt to help cool off from the heat in the room, helped him get ready to sleep easier, especially when he was worried. "Still, she doesn't deserve to be alone when we're not around."
"I know Reg, I know. Not muc' can be done t'ough. We can't make t'em be 'er friends. T'is is a criminal clan." Right Hand Man said, a small yawn in his voice. Reginald gave a sigh as he nodded and glanced at the ceiling as he layed in his bed. The idea of her being 'alone' worried him more then her not having a playmate, however. "Finally." He hard Right Mumble before heading over to the bed, untieing his hair for the night.
"What if something happens to us one of these days and she has no one?" Reginald asked as he turned his head slightly, glancing up at his husband. He saw Right pause for a moment, before sitting down beside him without an answer. She wouldn't be alone, they both silently reassured themselves, or at least tried too. "I know the clan would protect her but still, what if something happens and they can't? They're only human after all."
"We all are. Nothin' we can do about that." The future-cyborg said, leaning beside Reginald and allowing the man to run a hand through his hair. Right kept his annoyed mumble quiet, Reg needed this. "It's not like we can have her in a metal suit in case things go wrong." He tried to joke.
"No we cannot." Reginald said with the faintest chuckle in his voice, but the mention of metal brought an idea to mind. The topbots. They were rarely used and likely would be scrapped once they got the station up in a few years. Maybe he could take one, and reprogram it to keep an eye on her and keep her safe if anything happens. Who knows? Maybe he could even program it with some games. Make it act like a friend to her, maybe even like a brother…
"Ya ok Reg? Ya stared off into space again." Right Hand Man asked with a snap of his fingers, tilting his head as Reginald glanced at him. Reginald simply responded but quickly pulled the man closer, as fast as he could, and gave a kiss. Right rolled his eyes at the act, but didn't break for a few seconds. He chuckled as he glanced at him. "I swear I never understand what goes t’rough yer head sometimes, Reggie. I mean it."
"Maybe I like it that way?" Reginald asked, raising a brow as Right Hand Man chuckled. He then let out a yawn. "I'm heading to bed, night." He said as he closed his eyes.
"That quickly?" he could hear the head shake in his husband's voice and refused to move as he pulled the blanket out from under the 'sleeping' man. Reginald eventually got a 'night' in return as he felt an arm wrapped around him. Reginald smiled a bit more. He didn't know it then, but his and his son's fate had just been sealed.
Working on the topbot was strange. It felt like it took forever yet no time at all, as the time went by quickly once he had the freetime to work on it. He originally just played to reprogram it, but after deciding to lean into the 'brother' aspect as much as possible, ending up speaking a week alone remodeling the robot to look more human, especially more teen-like. Don't even ask him how he got the hair, he just black out mentally and it was there when he came back.
It all went smoothly, from the programming to the redesigning. The only incident he had was when he was working on some of the coding, something happened and he got shocked. He was fine and it wasn't even a bad shock, but something did feel a bit… odd afterwards. He couldn't quite place it however, so he didn't make a big deal about it. Would risk people finding out before he was ready. After at the very least a month of actual work, he felt the topbot was ready to test.
He didn't have the best place for the test, and he didn't want to use the same old, dusty space he’d been using to keep the topbot a surprise. So he snuck it to storage on a day he knew no one should be there, leaning the robot against a tank and removing the cloak he used to cover it while moving it, in case anyone saw.
"There we go…" Reginald smiled a bit as he glanced at the topbot. Its orange eyes were dull now, but he knew in a matter of moments they would glow with the light of life. If only he knew how true that statement was. He grabbed a few things from the box he brough, mostly just stuff for any adjustments he needed to make. "Well… no sense in holding back." He took the remote to the topbot, and pressed the 'on' button. He glanced up at the machine, no idea his world was about to be turned around.
ACTIVEING_UNIT-78… … RENAMING_PROGRAM… … ACTIVEING_PLATINUM… … HELLO_WORLD
The topbot's eyes lit up, and slowly blinked. It moved its head up yet its expression was blank. Reginald sighed inside, he was hoping he could get it to smile when he turned it on. But no matter, he could adjust that. Or maybe he just needed to give the topbot coding time to adjust to the new coding of being a protector, a brother. The robot glanced at him with the blank expression, tracking his movements faintly with its eyes.
"Hello Platinum." Reginald welcomed, despite knowing the topbot should know who he was. He grabbed a picture of Hat Kid he had brought, and held it up. He saw the topbot's eyes lock onto the picture quickly. "There's many things I programmed you to do. But…" He smiled. "Your main purpose is to keep her safe."
"Keep her safe…" The robot repeated his words, using the voice he spent a whole day working on so it was near-impossible to tell he recorded its lines… But that… wasn't one of them, was it? Inside the topbot's head, questions started to form… questions? thoughts? It didn't make sense… And that was when the new files began to try and find their place in it's- no, his head, and his eyes went wide.
"Platinum?" The man in front of him questioned, and the topbot glanced at him, shaking a bit as he stepped back. Platinum. Who was Platinum? He was Unit- No, No, His name was Platinum. How could he not know that? Why did he have a name? He glanced at the man in front of him, briefly words appeared in his vision and made the machine shout a small bit as he jumped back into the thing behind him. "Wait- Are you alright?"
"Am I?!" The machine asked, covering his mouth. That was an emotion in his voice, in him. He didn't know what it was, but it wasn't something he was supposed to feel normally. He then pause, he covered his mouth? He closed and open it, feeling the movement. He didn't have that before, did he? He didn't… He didn't do anything before, did he. Of course he did. He was a… "What's going on?! Why can I… feel." Platinum moved his hand slightly, watching with a mix of emotions he didn't know.
"How is this…" Reginald had begun to reach for the remote, but paused. The topbot in front of him seemed truly scared…
"Shouldn't you know Chef- No, Reginald- No, Dad?" Platinum asked in that one emotion, the words under the two hatted man kept changing as the files updated his information. The files, they were acting too quickly for him to try and focus. Trying to give him information on things he had zero clue on yet. Trying too, he didn't even know. "I-I can't do this. I-I can't, I'm broken. I-I can't do anything, there's too much, I-I-"
"Platinum, it's ok!" Reginald reached for the topbot's sleeved arm as the robot looked at him, his orange eyes shaking and some oily tears just starting to form in the bottom of it. He didn't understand why the topbot could be acting this way. He shouldn't be acting this way, it wasn't how he programmed his script… but maybe he wasn't running on it. "I don't know what's going on, but if you calm down, I'm sure we can work it out."
"Work on…me? Work means off!" Platinum backed up, pulling his arm away from the man. Something told him he didn't feel this way about being turned off against his will before. But that was when he didn't feel anything, when he didn't have a will. "I-I just wanna be left alone!"
"Platinum, I-" Reginald reached for him again, but Platinum pulled away and bumped his head into the thing behind him. He glanced back at it, and looked up slightly. He didn't know what it was, and it seemed the files in his head were racing to find an answer for him, which hurt his head more. But on top of the thing appeared to be an opening. "Wait, you can't go in that-" Reginald said once he saw the robot begin to climb up the tank.
"J-Just give me a moment!" Platinum cried out as he managed to open the tank and hop inside, closing it before Reginald had a chance to catch up with him. Platinum glanced around the dark space, letting out some shaky breaths as he got to his knees, taking his hand to his chest. He heard the entrance tried to be open, but he reached up and kept it closed. "P-Please! Leave! I don't know what's going on! I-I swear I'm not…"
Reginald was quiet as he listened to the sobs inside. "Ok… But you can't stay there forever. It's not safe." He said, gently patting the hatch. Even if he wanted to go in, Platinum had locked it so he couldn't get inside. "Just try and calm down.." he said as he began to head down the tank.
Once he was down on the ground, he sat for a moment, and thought.
Somehow, Platinum wasn't just an AI running on a script like he intended. He was alive, fully aware. Was every topbot like this? Having its own hidden soul waiting for the chance to express itself without being controlled… No, judging by his son’s reaction to, well, everything, it seemed Platinum had no idea what it meant to be alive. Just throwing the gift of life seemed to have caused him his panic.
"Well, know I wished I did this is small session." Reginald said, burying his head in his hands and letting out a mumble. He wasn't upset Platinum was alive, far from it. But he wasn't expecting to be the first to create a fully aware robot. One that was now sobbing inside the tank. It made him feel awful. If he knew, he would have taken it slower. Give Platinum time to adjust slowly.
It was too late for that now. Reginald glanced at the remote. He could turn Platinum off and move him somewhere calmer, but he was scared by the idea of being off… Which meant he was likely scared of Reginald now. He couldn't bring Hattie to him like this… that left only one option.
Right Hand Man was in his room, cleaning his bat with the tiniest hum coming from his voice. He just got back from a robbery and he got blood on it. Hey, it wasn't his fault the cop got in his way and refused to step away. He didn't hit hard enough to kill, so he was sure they would be fine after a month or two. That was just what you got when you messed with the Right Hand of the toppats. He wouldn't let himself or anyone else be taken away, not when he was around.
He heard the door open behind him and gave the smallest smile as he looked over his shoulder, seeing his husband. The smile faded a bit even as Reginald gave a small wave. Right Hand Man was no idiot. He could tell something was off. But he also knew just flat-out asking likely wouldn't hurt. Reginald had a bit of pride in him after all, and wouldn't acknowledge what was wrong unless it was him who acknowledged it. So Right would need to find a way to get him to do so.
He got up, tossing the cloth to the side as he went to put the bat back with the rest of his weapons. He glanced over as Reginald sat on the bed, glancing to the side with a look of questioning in his eyes.
"Everyt’in' went well at communications?" Right Hand Man started, Reginald giving a small nod. Perfect, he might be able to get Reginald to say it in conversation, without realizing it. Still, the nod seemed genuine as that was the only thing Right was aware of Reginald needing to do that day. And Burt wouldn't be the one to get the chef worried about something, that was Sven's job. "Good. Burt 'asn't 'ad any added stress about t'e eventually station plans?"
"He says he's sure he can handle the orbital station when the time comes." Reginald said with a smile. He looked at Right and sat beside him, and it made him sigh. God, how was he supposed to start this out. 'So, I made a living AI and he's our son?'. Right didn't even want anymore kids and he didn't mean to push one on him like this. He sighed. "Do you, remember when we first got Hattie?" He started, glancing as his husband nodded.
"Not sure I could ever forget." Right Hand Man said, glancing out the window nearby. The sight of that crashed spaceship would never leave his memory. "Why do ya ask? Because of 'er friends issue?"
"Perhaps… do you remember how she was sad about that rumba of hers?" Regianld asked, getting a nod after Right took a few seconds to fully remember. He could tell back then that it meant a lot to her, but she could tell they were a bit confused so she was doing her best not to seem too emotional over it. He didn't understand why but he wasn't going to question it. "I wonder what it must have been like for her, all alone with nothing but her little robot friend."
"Well, judging by her reaction, they were close." Right Hand Man said. He was a little confused by the way Reginald was taking the cover nation. Why bring up something she seemed to have moved on from? Was he, trying to fix it? He did catch Reginald going through parts of stuff they stole and borrowing tools, all while he thought Right wasn't looking. "Reg, why are you bringin' this up?" Right finally decided to ask as Reginald glanced to the side.
"I… might have done something…" Reginald said, like a child trying to avoid getting in trouble. Right just rolled his eyes and waited for Reginald to finish. The man sighed. "So I… took aside a topbot and reprogrammed it."
"All on yer own? Self taug't?" Right asked with a brow raised, and Reginald gave a sheepish smile as he nodded. Right was still full of questions, new ones like 'why' being added into that pot inside his brain. But he couldn't help but be at least a little amazed, he suspected Reginald was working on something machine based, but programming was a nightmare from what he understood. "Dunno w'y ya did it. But ya should be proud, Reg."
"I am. It's just… my programming went a little too far… and I accidentally gave him life?" Reginald said sheepishly, looking at Right. Right was caught off guard by that, and his face showed. Reginald had to hold in a chuckle as he explained more. "I made him to act like a brother to Hat Kid. Someone too keeps her safe even in the worst case scenario… I also had us programed as his fathers just for more of the heck of it, but now he's alive and-"
"Ya basically made us a new kid?" Right summarized it as Reginald nodded. He let out a sigh as he brought a hand down his face, shaking it slightly. "Reg, I love ya. But couldn't ya 'ave at t'e very least ask me first? We just got used to bein' Dads for Hattie."
"In my defense, I wasn't trying to make an actual son! Just more of a toy? …That sounds wrong knowing he's alive now." Reginald said, shaking his head as Right Hand Man nodded. He was a bit annoyed but it, couldn't be helped. He just had to live with it. Besides, it was a robot child so hopefully he would be a little easier then Hat Kid, and he had experience. "I should have told you, I'm sorry. I just wanted him to be a surprise."
"It's ok, but no more kids after this, please Reg. We're the leaders of a criminal organization, that alone puts our kids at risk." Right Hand Man said, and Reginald nodded. After a moment Right paused. He didn't know if the robot was listening in on the cover nation. He got up to check, ready to talk to him about things since he could have made him mad. "Well, I guess I should go meet him. He's outside waiting, isn't he."
"No, he's in a tank." Reginald said, and Right looked a little shocked. "When I turned him on the sudden self-awareness gave him a panic attack, he climbed into it and I couldn't get him out. I was hoping you could come help me?" Reginald asked. "I think he might be scared I'll just turn him off against his will."
"I suppose the concept is horrifying when you are a machine." Right Hand Man said with a sigh, adjusting his bandana around his neck so he could breathe just a little bit easier. Reginald got into the hall with him and they began to head to storage, Reginald silently hoping nothing had happened while he was gone. It was only about ten minutes at max, but it felt like an hour, somehow. "So, what did you name him? Or does he not have one yet?"
"His name is Platinum. It's not very creative but, I felt it fit." Reginald said, as Right nodded. Platinum Copperbottom, had a ring to it he suppose. He felt Reginald grab his hand and Right glance up slightly at him. He could see worry was starting to get to him. He just had his hand a slight squish and Reginald nodded. "It'll be fine, he'll be fine. We'll just have to take things slow. Hopefully he isn't mad."
"If anything he should be glad once he calms down." Right commented as Reginald glanced at him. "Not everyday you're the lucky one out of hundreds of soulness machines to be given life."
Reginald nodded, and couldn't help but think about it. Would 'Platinum' have ended up different depending on which topbot he used… Why was he wondering that? Platinum was Platinum. He just hoped they could get him to see that…
Platinum wasn't sure how long he was in what he now knew was a tank. It felt like forever. But he didn't mind it. He had managed to get the files to slow their uploading inside his head, and that allowed him to think more clearly, process things clearly. Looking back, he was a bit embarrassed about how he reacted in front of his father, but what was Dad expecting? Him to just turn on and be chill and ready to go? He just tossed awareness onto an object, of course the 'object' would panic.
He slowly glanced at his hands, moving them. Watching as the light from his new orange eyes shone off them. He was still fascinated. It was strange. His memory of being today was blurred. There was stuff but it was hard to recall because there wasn't any Platinum there to remember. He wasn't sure how to feel about this in the long run. But he couldn't stay inside this tank forever. He had a battery that needed to be charged eventually after all.
He climbed back to the hatch, and he took a breath. He didn't need to breathe, but it helped soothe the small nerves building up. He glanced outside the tank when he opened the hatch. Reginald was gone. Huh, he was honestly expecting his father to be waiting. At least he seemed to represent his space…
"Thank goodness he didn't turn me on in front of her." Platinum sighed as he rest his arms in front of him. By now he had fully recovered his programmed purpose, to be a brother to Hat Kid. And he wanted to be a good one, he genuinely did. He just didn't know how he would make any relationship if she saw him panic like that… he paused as he glanced down at the tank. "You know, I could get used to this." He went to go get a look at the controls.
"Oi!" A voice called and it made him jump a bit. Already the files were trying to speed up again, there weren't too many left, but he didn't want to risk freaking out again. He glanced over and saw his father come in with a man. Somehow the man looked familiar, probably had info but he had stopped that file to calm down easier. "Platinum, get out of the tank!" The man said. Platinum gave a smirk, he was programmed to be a troublemaker after all.
"You're not my dad." Platinum started with a chuckle, leaning back with a smug smile. The man looked confused and glanced at his dad. Reginald shrugged at his husband, he could only assume something went wrong in Platinum file's trying to be uploaded.
Right Hand Man tried not to get mad, just annoyed. "Get out of t'e freakin' tank, I am yer Dad!" He called, and Platinum pulled his head back to laugh right as Reginald nodded to his husband's words, so the robot didn't see it. Right glanced at Reginald again and he just mouth the word 'troublemaker'. Of course, Right rolled his eyes. The perfect kind of friend for Hat Kid but not the best type for getting a teen to listen.
"You’re not my Dad!" Platinum started with a chuckle, ducking his head back in for a moment as he heard the man let out a mumble of frustration. He wasn't lying, was he? And besides, this was who he was. It was his first day, they could give him some slack if he was pushing it. He glanced back out with an innocent smile on his face as the red haired man sighed. He glanced at his Dad and gave a thumbs up as Reginald sighed as well.
"Yes I am yer Dad, get out of t'e freakin' tank!" Right Hand Man said as the topbot teen laughed. He sighed. "Ya could get hurt!" He added.
"I'm in a tank and you're not!" Platinum stated boldly, glancing at the man. His bold smile faded when his files finally began to finish processing. And he was instantly hit with the relation that not only was this the second in command of all the toppats. He was, in fact, his Dad. He wanted to hop back in the tank but, he already made himself a bit of a fool here. "Alright, I'll head down. Sorry, my files just finished uploading, Pops."
"Good, but I'm makin' sure that tank is moved to a ground base." Right commented, the teen grumbling a bit as he came down. He glanced at Reginald and then back at the topbot. Now that the 'inside a deadly weapon' issue was taken care of, they were able to take in the fact that Platinum seemed fine now. That was good. "Just don't head into somethin' like that next time you get scared. I understand, but if you pressed a button, things could have gotten bad fast." Right stated, as Platinum nodded faintly.
"At least you're ok." Reginald finally spoke, glancing at Platinum with a smile. Platinum gave a look of 'why wouldn't I be?', but knew what he was referring to. Reginald faintly glanced at the box he still had nearby, with everything he had planned to use earlier if readjustments were needed. He scolded his past self a bit before turning back to his son. "Are you feeling alright? You're systems haven't overheated, have they?"
"I'm fine Dad. Just was… surprised?" Platinum said, looking at the two. To be honest, he still wasn't sure if that was the word he was looking for. He knew what emotions were now but actually pin-pointing the ones he was feeling was still a bit of a challenge. He assumed he would pick up on it quickly though. Just needed the chance to feel more. "Sorry to scare you, just, didn't know how else to react… And besides, you know how you made me."
"I do." Reginald said, a small chuckle in his voice as Right Hand Man rolled his eyes. Even as the man did so, there was a small smile on his face. Sure, Platinum was meant to be a surprise and he’d rather have been aware, but hey. He was his son, nothing would change that. Reginald glanced at Platinum. "Do you feel like you're ready to meet-"
"Dad, Papa? What's with the robot with you?" A young voice called that spook all three of them, at least a little bit. Platinum was the first to recover from the spook, glancing to the stairs where Hat Kid was heading down with a head tilt. She seemed to be eyeing the robot in curiosity and just a hint of worry. "Why is he looking at me, is he a topbot?" She asked. Platinum glanced at his Dads, and got a nod of 'go ahead' from Reginald.
"Well Hat Kid." He said as he headed over, being slow as to try and not spook her. He bent down to her level when he got close enough. "I'm Platinum! Dad and Pops have been working on me for awhile now, mostly Dad. I'll be your big brother and I'll make sure you'll never be alone!" He could have sworn he saw sparkles enter her eyes as she let out a small gasp of excitement. Before quickly hugging him. "Hehe, so you like me?"
"Yea! Thank You Dad, Thank you Papa!" Hat Kid said, calling over her new brother's shoulder at the men, before breaking free of the hug and grabbing Platinum's arm. "Come on, there's so much I wanna show you. Oh, the others are going to be jealous!"
"I bet!" Platinum said, before quickly running off with her, making sure she was in his sights at all times.
"Well, t'at went smoot'ly." Right Hand Man commented.
"Yea… You know, I didn't program every little thing about Platinum. I wanted to see if the script could make its own choices…" Reginald glanced back at the hall. "I can't wait to see who he grows to be."
"And that's pretty much it. Yea, My first few moments weren't pretty, but hey, I'm here today and that's all that matters." Platinum finished as he turned back to the group. For whatever reason, Hat Girl told him to tell the story on the go since she wanted to take them somewhere. A little odd seeing how it was almost over anyway at the time, but he didn't question his sister. He glanced back at the others. "Thoughts."
"Ye should have fired the tank and seen what would've happened." The Conductor said, Platinum chuckling while DJ Grooves and Mu facepalmed. He turned to the chuckle of his sister and smiled. He… wasn't the best at the protection role he was programmed for. But he made sure she never was alone. Back when Dad and Pops were gone, he rarely left her side. He didn't know what would happen if he lost all three of them. "So, what's yer birthday anyway?"
"It's around this time of year actually." Hat Girl said with a smile. A smile that seemed a bit too knowing for Platinum. He paused and sighed, glancing at his sister with a brow raised. "You finally got it, didn't you?" She asked. "You forget every year."
"Wait, really? Today is your birthday." DJ Grooves asked. "And you forgot?" Platinum let out a grone. He could see why they were excited, sure. But he was always just happy to be alive. And while he never told anyone, his birthday brought back the fact he was once a normal topbot, and it easily could have been another one who got the life he now would fight for… "I'm surprised they're not throwing you a big party right now."
"Oh, there's a party waiting, they just never make it big because they know I rather my own be small." Platinum said, pausing when Hat Girl opened the door. Shadow Kid jumped out and grabbed his leg, and he gave a small smile talking about what was inside. There was a sigh as Right Hand Man peaked his head out of the room, shaking his head. "You all weren't going to surprise me. And even if you did, there wouldn't be much of a reaction."
"Just get in 'ere Plat." Right Hand Man said, with an eyes roll yet a small smile. The room wasn't anything fancy, and there wasn't too much going on inside besides a few people who were welcomed to come. But if Platinum had to have his own party, that was the way he liked it. He chuckled slightly with an eye roll.
Luckily, he had been in this kind of situation twice before so he was decent at getting through the typical convos and stuff that came when you were the one the party was celebrating. The only thing he really had to do was eventually open the gifts, well, besides having fun. Luckily, his parents or Macbeth would step in if it was clear Plat was feeling a little lost in one convo and just wanted out. He thanked them for that, at least.
He ended up spending most of the time with Van and Hat Girl, just hanging out like it wasn't anything special. And it made it feel special. He found himself glancing at Van when he was sure no one was looking because they just looked so pretty today. The lights that Macbeth had dug up for the party almost made them glow and it seemed only he saw that. It actually made him a bit glad he had a party for once. At least he knew what he might be able to do for Van's…
Hat Girl eventually caught him and he had to snap out of his self-trace before anyone else noticed. Sure basically everyone on the station knew he had a crush on someone now, but he didn't want those who didn't know whom yet knew it was Van. Less of all let Van know.
"I'm surprised you aren't trying to sneak away and do something, if you really don't want to be here." Mu commented as she leaned against the wall while speaking with him, eating a bit of the cake. Platinum couldn't eat it but he didn't really mind because he didn't really care for food anyway. Because he couldn't eat. "It does seem nice for you, even if it's not anything grand… better than anything I've gotten." She whispered to herself.
"Sorry.." Platinum said, having heard her. Mu just shrugged like she didn't care, and Platinum stepped away and went over to his fathers. "Dad, is it ok if I open my stuff and go. I may have stayed up late the last few nights so my battery isn't as charged as it should be." A lie, but it allowed him to go with a nod from Reg. He made sure no one really noticed. Hat Girl thought about calling attention to it, but didn't. She knew her brother.
He stuffs the wrapping paper in his pockets to hide it as he opens his stuff. There wasn't too much, but he liked it that way. He always told his Dads never to get him much of anything, and they confusedly did so.
He did pause when he opened one though. "Woah." He said to himself. It wasn't anything too grand. It was just a jacket in the same style of the one he always wore. But the colors were those of the pan flag. He should've known his Dads would've gotten him that after coming out, but still. It stood out for some reason. Maybe because it reminded him of the joy it was to be yourself, even if it was a different type of 'be yourself' then the colors represented. He threw it on quickly, standing up and smiling at it. "Hey, thanks!" He called to his Dads nearby, before turning to the others.
He saw Van glancing at him. Was that a.. blush on their cheek? He decided to get a closer look. He heard a "Yer welcome!" From Right as Platinum went over to his crush.
"You look really good in that, Platinum." Van said with a smile on their face, the topbot giving a happy nod as he took a step back and did a little spin to show off… before almost losing his balance. Van quickly grabbed him and stopped, letting out a chuckle. "We know you're a star of the show, but try not to break a leg."
"Star? Nah, I'm more of the disco ball. Does that, even make sense." Platinum asked, tilting his head. Still, he felt his faceplates warm up a bit at Van's comment. But then he saw Van raise a brow. "What is it."
They hesitated for a moment. "Um…Did you get updated again recently?" Van asked. Platinum gave a confused nod, it was two days ago. Just replacing some parts that may have broken. Add any features Reginald could add, as long as they didn't risk messing with his code. "It's faint but… you're blushing."
"What?!" Platinum caught sight of his face using his hand. Van was right, it was faint but there was some sort of light shining through his plates like a blush. "How-"
"Oh, that was me." Hat Girl chuckled as she bumped between the two. "Dad had to leave to take care of an emergency while he was replacing some of the wires in your head, so me and Snatcher made a quick upgrade."
"You're welcome!" The ghost called from nearby.
"Sis, because it's my birthday and I'm generous, you get ten seconds. RUN." A timer appeared in his eyes as Hat Girl quickly darted out of the room with a laugh. Van shook their head a bit.
"If it makes you feel better. I think the blush looks nice on you." Van stated. That made Platinum's blush feature activate more. But yet, he couldn't help but smile.
He was so lucky to be alive…

NAMELESS - Chapter 29
↪ SUMMARY...
After drunkenly admitting everything, Shuichi is confronted by Maki and Kaito. The confrontation is cut short when Shuichi's house turns against the group and traps them inside.
excerpts under the cut!
"Do you remember what you told us last night?" "Huh? What did I say?" He opened one eye and chuckled. "Was it just me being sappy or something? I haven't been drunk since college; I don't remember what I'm like when I'm drunk." Kaito just stared at him. "You should get cleaned up. Maki wants to talk to you." He grabbed some toilet paper and held it awkwardly in the middle distance, one where it would be weird for Shuichi to take it and weird for him to suddenly jump into cleaning his face, like he was deciding what he wanted to do. He decided to clean him up and sighed. "Did...you really mean it? When you said that you know where Kaede is?"
She turned toward the stairs and stopped suddenly, her eyes wide. The stairs had expanded an unnatural amount, though they could still see the bottom. Shuichi and Maki looked at each other, and that was the first time Shuichi got a chance to actually look at her. There were lines where the wires had dug into her skin, some of the lines so rough that she started bleeding, making bits of blood run down her arm, but it was nothing too intense. It was just scary to think that was what was in the walls. Shuichi looked down the steps and called, "Kokichi!" Nobody came. That wasn't good. "Fuck it," Maki whispered, putting her foot on the first step. It suddenly jutted out and she would've fallen over if she didn't immediately step back to where she was. "Be careful," he warned. She panted and shook her head. "Fuck it!" She then threw herself down the stairs. We are not talking sprinting down the steps. We are not talking skipping steps. We are not talking any sort of strategy. She went down legs first, hitting her tailbone multiple times before finally rolling down the stairs, head over legs and legs over head and over and over, ad infinitum. Multiple cameras shot down from the ceiling to watch this in action. Shuichi watched in horror as Maki, who he previously thought was the smartest of the four, showed him that she was, in fact, just like the other three: a giant fucking bonehead. "Maki!" She could not respond. She was busy being juggled. By the stairs. "I told you about the stairs! I warned you!"
"Oh, shit- do you see the light?" "Yeah. Yeah, yeah, I'm coming to you!" He sprinted toward it and turned the corner. [REDACTED] stood there, facing him. [REDACTED] wasn't restrained in any way. [REDACTED] was standing, wearing a pair of jeans that had grown holes and one of the t-shirts he'd lost months ago. Over the top of it, [REDACTED] was wearing a jacket that had sat on the floor of his closet for years. In the light, [REDACTED] eyes gleamed like a cat's, reflecting yellow light at him. "I found you." [REDACTED] voice echoed through the empty room. Before he could reply, a piece of metal hit the back of his head with a loud crack. Then, it went black.
"What? So you assholes think you can just bust in here through my fuckin' window and that's it? I don't know if it ever occurred to you in your pea-sized brains, but I have a life and a job- hear that, Kokichi? J-O-B: JOB, dickhead!- being the most drop-dead gorgeous engineer around- like, the girls they bring in to shoot porn hot- and I don't exactly have time for whatever bullshit you people wanna bring in, so-" Kokichi stumbled over to her and grabbed her by her shoulders, trying to figure out what to say. Very quietly, he said, "Miu...shut your whore-ass up."

💖 here ill give you your fave ever Omari ♡ as well as alu and Zara do as u please
YESSSS [GRABBING THEM LIKE A RABID ANIMAL]
!OMARI¡
"So, your dorm has a lot of racing tracks,, right?" Omari asked, his head slightly inclined and his gaze on the young man sitting in front of him, studying his body language a little absent mindedly. Candela sat even more comfortably, his hands behind his head and his expression boastful
"Sure! There are all kinds, plus with Fraiser now the whole school is our private track. Jealous, huh? In 'Ossidia' you don’t have these." If Candela’s expression had not been mischievous, showing that he had mispronounced Obsidya Omari would have corrected it. Thinking about it for a moment, the former vice remarked that his "date" was not entirely devoid of intellect, however microscopic and ill-used it was." Actually it’s because we don’t need them, Obsidya focuses on intelligence and cunning, as you should know." Omari restrained himself from raising his eyes to heaven when the young man answered him
"For being in Obsidya, you really like to state the obvious. "
Candela checked his clock, his impatience so arrogantly obvious.
"I'll tell you what. Since you're my upperclassmen, to uh…apologize for my 'delay' could I take you on a ride with me? I'm sure you need a break from that gloomy dorm of yours."
The third year couldn't have cared less about respecting those older than him, nor doing a favor. He was only offering that because him and Frasier would race today and he hadn't thought this Blind date would have lasted so long
!ALUCARD¡
"You know, all my brothers and sisters are super strong! In the family we are all good fighters " Continued the young girl drinking from the teacup she held in her hands, the expression lost in thoughts
"You know, I once saw Colton pull out a person’s heart. It was both disgusting and fascinating, because the heart was still beating!" She continued with a casual tone, not noticing that the vampire’s expression had turned into surprise. But he bit his tongue as he saw for the umpteenth time Colton’s head come out of the wide open door, the ice blue eyes pierced through him, it would've been almost sinister if he hadn't looked like a child to Alucard.
"Oh, how..talented." he simply said in a flat tone, managing to take with his fingernails the cup of tea. In his hands looked like a toy for children, he noted. And indeed it was, the blind date arranged with Anaira was in fact a play date, given the difference in age. The fact that her older brother was watching him was proof of that, and although as irritating as his paranoia and mistrust were, Alucard found his desire to protect his sister somewhat admirable.
"Hey, were you listening to me? " Anaira then turned, looking with her eyes at her brother sulking
"Oh... sorry I wasn’t listening, can you repeat?" he asked, his attention again on the student sitting across the table.
"I asked you to tell me about your dorm. What was it called?"
Alucard smiled cordially and nodded
"Villamania. And there is not much to say.. our dorm is quite different and unique, as well as its students. There are four zones, but the details would keep us here for hours if I told you all of them." He cut it short, looking at Anaira who listened eagerly with sparkling eyes "no, tell me more! I want to know everything!"
Alucard raised his hand, silencing her." No, little one, the Play Date is coming to an end and I have a lot to-" didn’t finish the sentence that he noticed she had a pout and interrupted his sentence -rather rudely- with a long sigh and a whispered "boring", and when he tried to say that he had duties and a dorm to attend to, he saw she was gone, leaving her empty cup. But her voice was heard from the corridor
"NO Colton, it didn’t make me angry, I just got bored! "

::::::::::
Billy was taking another break with Emma in his and Steve's room. The crowd gathered to their originally small get together was now quite big, and Emma seemed to get tired quite fast because of it. Not that it meant that she was actually sleeping. Billy was leaning on his elbow on his and Steve's bed, Emma next to him in the middle of the bed. He rocked her gently with his hand on her tummy and hummed a lullaby to her to try to get her to doze off even for a while. He thought his mother had probably sang the lullaby to him when he was little, but he didn't quite remember, nor did he particularly want to, but he did remember the melody. ”You're not going to sleep, are you?” he asked Emma after a while, when she kept her deep blues insistently open, and locked on his eyes. ”Not only have you similar eyes to mine, but you seem to be just as stubborn as me. I'm sure you're going to be a handful when you grow up.” Emma let out a small whine as a reply. ”You oppose that, huh?” She let out another small whine, and kicked her feet. ”Yes, that's an opposal if I've ever seen one,” Billy smiled. ”Yeah, trouble. That's what you're going to be.”
There was a knock on the door. ”Yeah?” Billy said. It was Nancy with Christina. ”Steve said that we would find you here.” Billy sat up. ”Yeah, I was trying to get her to sleep even for a while, but she won't have any of it. I guess she'll sleep well tonight at least.” ”So she's awake? Christina wanted to come and meet her. I thought it would be better to do it here, out of all the hustle and bustle. If it's ok with you?” Nancy asked. When Billy agreed, Nancy sat on the side of the bed and lifted Christina to her lap. “Let's say hello to Emma.” Billy looked at Christina, who was looking at Emma her eyes wide open. He couldn't help but smile. The tiny bundle that had started the whole thing that had lead to Emma, was already a toddler with dark hair just like her dad's, and even spoke a word or two. “You can stroke her gently if you want to,” Billy said to her. She drew back a little in a sudden burst of shyness, but when Nancy encouraged her to do what Billy suggested, she gently stroked Emma's tummy. “Yeah, that's a baby,” Nancy confirmed Christina's one worded statement of Emma. “Her name is Emma,” Nancy said to her. Then she looked back at Billy. “And she's here thanks to you, I think.” “Your assessment of that would be correct,” Billy smiled. “It wasn't easy though.” “I know, Steve told me. Well, some of it,” Nancy said. “It wasn't easy for us either, it took a good while to have her.” She put her hand on Billy's arm. “But I can only imagine how hard it was for you. It's not like you can just make one.” Billy sighed. “Yeah, if we could've, we would've. But, now that we have Emma...I think it's been worth it. Though, to be fair, I wouldn't be too happy to go through the process again. I mean, if we were thinking of it. We're not.” They were silent for a while, watching Christina wondering about Emma.
“So...Steve swept you off your feet back there, did he?” Nancy asked. Billy chuckled. “He did.” “Can I see it?” Billy showed her the ring. “That is one beautiful ring.” “The fool must've spent a fortune on this. I wonder if we could've paid a nanny for us for few months with the price tag.” “He loves you. And I mean really loves you. He wouldn't have done something like this otherwise. You two went through so much already back then and now this on top of it... I don't think he ever loved me the way he loves you,” Nancy said hugging Christina. “I think he did love you in his own way. When you broke up with him, I think it did serve him right too. I mean, he needed the bruise on his ego to grow up a little. Not that I was any better back then. Two fools together...” Billy shook his head. “It was crazy that it turned out like this. I'm happy for it though. I wouldn't want it any other way.” Nancy smiled. “You two fit together. He the way he is, taking care of you two, and you...” “Making sure he doesn't have dull moment in his life,” Billy laughed. “I have to confess,” Nancy started, and bit her lip. “It's so strange to talk to you like this. About babies, and rings, and being loved, and all. You're...you! Everyone I've talked to about these things has been a woman. Don't take it the wrong way, I'm fine with it, with you being with Steve and you two loving each other and having Emma. It's just...so strange.” “Not many queer friends?” “Not in here in Hawkins for sure.” “Well, you have two in San Francisco,” Billy smiled. He thought for a moment. “Hey, I was meaning to ask... Since you have some experience, any hints on what I've signed for once we get back home with Emma?” “Well, if everything goes right, not much,” Nancy shrugged. “Some sleepless nights, maybe, especially when she's teething, but nothing that you probably haven't had already now. Just...When you're alone with her day after day - just remember that you can always ask for help if everything gets overwhelming. You never know what comes up with babies. It's ok to say that you're tired. You have Steve, he will help you. Or get help for you. Remember that. You're not alone.” “Thanks. I haven't told Steve, but I am quite a bit concerned about it. It's a big thing, to keep a baby alive, and to take care of her. I already now feel uncertain at times.” “You've done a great job so far. She's happy, and that's a sign that you're doing everything right. Just trust your instincts with her.”
Since Emma didn't agree upon sleeping, Billy and Nancy went back downstairs. Max was waiting for them by the living room doorway. “Hey Billy, I wanted to talk to you earlier,” Max started. “If it's about the incident, we're cool. It wasn't your fault.” “Ok,” she replied and nodded. Then she smiled and showed him a teddy bear. “I got this for Emma.” “That's almost as big as her,” Billy laughed taking the teddy in his hand and comparing the two. Max chuckled. “She'll outgrow it soon.” “Do you want to hold her? You're her aunt.” Max nodded, and Billy gave Emma to her. “I never imagined that I'd hold your baby. It's not like you've had any paternal tendencies before,” Max said examining Emma's eyes and brushing her cheek with her finger. “How is it that her eyes are as blue as yours?" "Everyone keeps asking me that and the answer is, that I have no slightest idea. And she also has the exact hair colour as Steve. It's kinda spooky." "Maybe someone on some otherworldly baby-making department decided that she was made for you two," Max smiled at Billy, and looked back at Emma. A lump gathered into Billy's throat, and he had to swallow twice to make it go away. "You seem to be really good with her'" Max said a while later. “You think so?” Bill asked looking at her, and smiled when he saw that Max was probably as enthralled with her as he was. “Yeah, I do. She has been so happy and content with you all day. She only complains when Steve or his mom holds her, but never with you. I honestly didn't think you had this in you. Being a mom.” Billy laughed. “I have not once been called a mom, not even by Steve. Though he does have a good instinct for self-preservation.” “Well, no one has the guts to say to you how things really are, except me,” Max smirked. “I'm going to call you Emma's Mom from now on.” “Thanks," Billy said ironically. "I'm going to revert to your old codename shitbird then. Just to keep things in balance." They looked at each other and laughed. “Just tell me if you ever need help with her. If school allows it, I'm always willing to fly to the other side of the the country for her,” Max said, and gave Emma back to Billy. "I'll take your offer if I ever need it. I hope we'll manage though."
While they had been talking, the rest of The Party had gathered around them. “This is so bizarre,” Dustin said, stroking Emma's hair. “Out of us all it's you two to have a baby first.” “How come?” Billy asked. “Well, it's you two. And I never thought of you specifically wanting a family. You didn't strike as someone like that, everyone always thought it was just Steve. And Eddie and Chrissy were the clear contestant number one on getting there from the start. Well, that's once Steve kicked Eddie's butt and they got into it.” Billy smiled. “Being the black horse was kinda fun to be honest. Though we barely made it, Chrissy is about to pop soon.” Everyone got their turn on holding Emma, who miraculously had finally dozed off while on Max's arms, and didn't wake up even though she was moved from lap to lap and cooed at.
By early evening, after meeting everyone at the party, it was Emma's sleeping time. The party winded down and the guests started to leave when Billy took Emma upstairs. Billy was sitting by the crib, leaning on the side his chin on his arm, holding Emma's bottle with his other hand, and Emma eating with good appetite laying on her back in the crib. “How are you two?” Steve asked when he walked in to the room. Billy looked up and smiled. “Tired. But happy. For Emma – I hope that she sleeps for she took quite a nap downstairs. And she didn't even wake up while handled by tons of new people.” Steve walked to them, put his hand on Billy's back and leaned to look at their tiny daughter eating. "Good,” he said, stroking Billy's back. Billy looked at Steve. "You know, you are a fool. How much did you spend on this ring?” “Not enough.” “Steve. It's platinum. That's crazy expensive. We have to keep a track on our expenses now that I don't work. There was no reason in getting it right now. You could've bought me a car with it. Because I can't have a baby seat in the Camaro,” Billy said getting a bit upset. “Well, I already bought you a car last week,” Steve said matter of factly. “What?" Billy looked at Steve, incredulous. "You know what I do for a living, right? And that I love my rides, right? And you went and bought me a car?" "Well, you just said it yourself..." Steve started. "God help you if it's a mini-van.” Steve chuckled. “No it's not. I think you'll like it. It's waiting for us at the airport. With a baby seat.” "So? Spit it out, what is it?" "It's a BMW." Billy groaned and already opened his mouth to object, for he was particular on American cars, but Steve raised his hands to stop him. "Guys at the shop helped me to pick it up. It's a M540 with 4.5 litre V8. It barks and bites just like the Camaro, trust me, I drove it to the airport. It's a saloon, so it fits the baby seat, and me, even someone third in addition. And you'll still have the Camaro. In fact the guys at the shop said they'd be more than willing to have it hooded there for free if they can show it to some customers who ask for references. That way we don't have to pay for a separate garage. And you can still go and take it out for a spin whenever you feel like it." “Ok," Billy said relieved. "I think I can work with that." Billy glanced at Emma, then back up at Steve biting his lip. "Steve. Where are we getting the money for all of this? Emma's insurance is massive, thanks to you who didn't adopt her and who's work insurance doesn't cover her because of it." “I got promoted.” “What?!" Billy asked smiling. "That's amazing, babe!" "Yeah, junior sales executive." "Impressive. Probably you get fancier business cards now," Billy teased. "Well, I will have a company car, so we can get rid of my car. One less payment for us. But there's also a but."
Billy let out a deep breath. “Of course there is." “I have to travel. A lot.” "With the car? They didn't make you the company chauffeur?" Steve laughed. "No. Travelling by air, mostly. I'll spend half of the time at the office in San Francisco, but the rest I spend visiting offices around the country, and Canada." Billy felt his heart sank. "Fuck. That's huge amount of travel! You could've talked to me about this before, you know," he said annoyed. “Me being here with Emma shouldn't have kept you from making that kind of decision without talking to me about it.” “Hey, I'm trying to do the right thing here,” Steve said raising his voice. He took a few steps away from the crib and rubbed his forehead. “I'm trying to make sure you and Emma have everything and when the opportunity rose I took it because I thought it would be the best way to ensure your well-being.” “I get it, I do, don't get me wrong,” Billy said, trying to calm Steve down. “And I love it that you think it like that. But that's seriously a lot of travelling. I have to be home alone with Emma a lot then too. Just try to look at it from my perspective a little.” “I'll get you help, a nanny or something. Whatever you need,” Steve said and sat on the bed. "I don't want 'a nanny or something'! I want you!” Billy exasperated. “What's the point in having her if she grows up never seeing you?" "It's not going to be for forever!" "It's going to be long enough! Have you any idea how long one year is to a two-year-old? A lifetime. And what about you then? If you're gone half a year...You'll lose so much of her growing up." Billy shook his head and swallowed looking away. Bitter tears were burning his eyes, but he clenched his teeth to keep them from falling, and let anger surface instead. "What else is there that you haven't talked about to me before making a decision? It sounds like you've made all these plans leaving me out from the whole equation. I mean, even though I take care of Emma, it doesn't mean that I'm now just another piece in the puzzle who has no say in anything.” “I didn't mean it that way, babe...” “Don't babe me,” Billy hissed. “I love Emma, more than I've ever loved anything. I don't mind staying at home and taking care of her. But you can't leave me out like this from decisions that concern me and her as much as you.” "Billy, I never thought of it that way, believe me. I just had to make the decision of taking the job on the spot when it was offered to me. And then I got so immersed in organizing the party, and getting the ring, and the car, and...I meant to tell you this weekend, as I'm now doing. I'm sorry. I thought that this was a good thing. I didn't mean to leave you out of the loop on purpose." "So, is there anything else you've decided that I don't know of? Just spit it all out now while we're at it," Billy said with a hint of venom in his tone. Steve looked at Billy deflated and bit his lip. "No! There's nothing else." "Promise?" "Yes!" Steve exasperated. "Nothing else that concerns you two." "But something that concerns you?" Billy asked looking at Steve pensively. "No, there's nothing else! Fuck!" Steve let out a bit too loud, making Emma cry. "Great. Just great," Billy said annoyed and let out a deep breath. "Can you leave? Just go. Now!" he snapped. Steve threw his hands in the air, got up, and walked out of the room.
A few hours later Steve was watching TV in the living room alone when Billy came down. Billy set the baby monitor on the coffee table and sat in the other end of the couch. "Could you please close the TV?" he asked. Steve shut the TV but didn't look at Billy. They sat in silence for a while. “I've cooled down. I want to talk it through,”Billy said. "I never wanted to hurt you. I wanted the opposite," Steve started quietly. "Everything I do is for you and Emma. You two are the first things in my mind, always. You're right, I should've talked to you first. It wouldn't have changed the job situation, I would've taken it anyway. But to tell you beforehand would've been right." "It's good that you took it. We need the money. But you'd better make sure that you're travelling the way that you get more than just a night or two at home between trips. I won't have my daughter not recognize you when you stop by at home." Steve turned to look at Billy. "I will run everything by you from now on before I do anything." "Thank you. Just don't think it as some kind of approval process. I just need to know. I'll be happy to take care of things at home. We just have to be together in this operation that is bringing up Emma. Because I'm terrified," Billy confessed. "So am I," Steve laughed. "I constantly think that the doctors made a horrible mistake of letting her go with us." "Yeah," Billy let out a laugh too. "Like, they honestly trust us to handle her? To keep her alive? Jesus, what a bunch of morons! And then I think about it, and realize that no matter what they thought of, we have no no other option anymore but to just make sure she stays alive, no matter how. And it actually is my responsibility." "No returns." Billy nodded. "But if anyone tried to take her from me now...God help them, because I would kill for her..." "In an instant, without any hesitation," Steve continued Billy's thought. “Me too, firecracker.” "She has already changed everything, and she's been here for just a few weeks."
Steve leaned towards Billy. "Come here, babe." Billy laid on the couch on his back, and put his head in Steve's lap, looking up at him. Steve ran his fingers through Billy's hair, and smiled. They sat in silence for a long while just looking at each other. Billy raised his hand and examined the ring in his finger. "This is ridiculously gorgeous ring. I don't know what I've done to deserve it, but I'm happy that you wanted to give it to me." "Good, because I did pay a ridiculous sum of money for it," Steve smiled. “I wanted to tell you how I feel with all of our friends around us. Now that we're in the beginning of our new life with Emma. As parents. God, that word still makes my head spin.” Billy looked up at him, and Steve felt the same he had felt like when he saw how blue Billy's eyes were for the first time. He still felt like drowning in them and he was loving every moment. "The vow was beautiful. I wish I would've been able to make one too. Because...you complete me. With you I don't feel broken, I feel whole. With you the days are brighter and the nights so much more...” Billy smirked when Steve blushed. “And without you I wouldn't have Emma... Why do you look at me with that stupid grin?" Billy asked, smiling, his tongue trapped between his teeth, knowing very well why. "Because you take care of our little girl so well, and she trusts you with her whole tiny life. Because you wanted her in the first place. Because you're gorgeous. Because you wanted me. Because you're mine, and because I want to do bad things with you," Steve said. Billy raised an eyebrow. "Do you now? You know...when we were at Christina's party, you said that you went somewhere in your head. But you never told me what it exactly was." "Yeah, I guess I didn't." "So...want to try it?” Steve frowned, smiling. “Well, there's a quite big bathroom here downstairs. Maybe we wouldn't wake up mom and dad if we did it down here.” “You understand how turning off that reminder is,” Billy said rolling his eyes. “It's like we're teens again, trying to stay quiet and so miserably failing at it that I could feel your mom's eyes burning holes on my back in the mornings every time we'd had sex in our room.” “Yeah, I remember. But the fantasy had you being very quiet about it.” “Oh. Well, then. Lead the way,” Billy smirked getting up from the couch.

terribly ooc ppl lol (i promise i'm better than this)
AYYEEEE I'M WRITING FOR VENTI (modern au)
notes: inspo is from laufey's amazing songs and songwriting !!! (beautiful stranger and Dear soulmate by Laufey), maybe not angst but yeah no happy relationships for us lol, lumine makes another appearance because lumine is love (lumine cupid??)
you're in a slightly crowded plaza in liyue, sitting down on a bench. previously, you'd been to a friends apartment visiting them. your friend talks about their relationship and how inlove they feel. you, of course as a good friend, is happy for them.
sat down on the bench and watching people pass by, you call a friend to pick you up as it's pretty late and you doubt it would be safe travelling back home alone.
you've never been too good with romance, but always think about what it would be like if someone cared for you. if the said someone woke up beside you each morning and greeted you "good morning", or "good night" — what would that feel like?
but before that, where could your soulmate be? maybe on a train, maybe somewhere in the countryside. what does your hair look like? do you have siblings or none at all? my future lover, will you take care of me?
as you thought so hard, someone sat by you — shattering all your thoughts into pieces that'll take you ages to fix. you tense up; who is this person and why are they beside me?
the stranger beside you sighs, seemingly tired just like you. slouched on the bench next to you, they pull out a book from their bag and started reading. although, it seems like they did acknowledge you.
they look up at you, and you look back. would be a little rude if you didn't do so, no?
you and the stranger make eye contact and you feel, flustered? it was just like seeing love for the first time. you looked away to collect yourself, because the last this happened you were embarrassed to the limit.
...
after awhile, you look back at the stranger. you swear that he was the most heavenly smile you've seen, as he reads his book. you know to yourself you fall in love too easily and far too fast, but not this quick. your heart drops as you almost say something to the person beside you, catching their attention.
this person, stranger... have they put a curse on you, that you fall in love with them so fast?
...
"ehm, excuse me but were you going to ask me something?"
"huh? no no, it's nothing. i apologize."
...
just a few minutes after, you look at your phone. you find quite a few messages, and realize that you've forgetten you told your friend lumine to pick you up (NAURR LUMINE 😍😘😘😘😘).
you pick yourself up from your thoughts reshaped as you walk away from the bench you and the charming stranger shared. you walk slowly as you debate to yourself; "should i go back and ask him his name? or how their day had been?"
ultimately, you end up looking back. he's looking back at you too, until you bump into your friend who'd been looking for you since (cough cough) you took a bit longer than she expected. although, it isn't exactly lumine who you bumped into...
...
"Aether? wheres Lumine?"
"ah, [name]! Lumine and i have been looking for you since, well, she got worried. but as much as she worried for you, she quit finding you and went back in the car... so i was the one left to find you."
"sounds like her alright... we should go back now."
...
"one more look", you mumble to yourself. and yet when you glance to your back, he's gone. if you talked to him, got over your cowardice, would've you gotten somewhere a little farther than a simple glance?
naurrr who am i supposed to show this to 😭 (+context, i write a prompts for another person too lolol !!) /opm anon
A??2!2!?1!1 AAA??!!1!1?1?1!!1?1?1
stop HSHSJAJSJBD
NO because I would do the same 😭😭😭 I'm not the type to initiate conversations HEP
I wonder what happens if fate decides to let them meet again 😁😁 who will start a conversation first?? or will they just sit in silence?? HEHHSHS

a new chapter - battison!bruce wayne x reader
a/n: i wrote this at 2am trying to get my brain working again - this hasn't been re-read or anything so if there's any improper grammar plz let me know *sob* i really don't like the way this turned out but i'm publishing it anyway :D
tw: language, fake dating to lovers, mentions of death, fighting, angst, fluff, a bad attempt at breaking up, i wrote this at 2 am without re-reading it so it probably won't make much sense - go writing block ;-;
"So that's it," She froze, "I'm just some stupid girl who means nothing to you?"
His grey eyes snapped to hers, "Yes, you mean nothing to me. You never have and you never will." He swallowed thickly, as if he regretted what he was saying.
She knew he was lying, but it still hurt. He was her best friend for fucks sake. Even if she tried with her whole heart, she knew deep down she could never actually hate him.
"And cut. That was perfect guys, I'll be sure to leak it to everyone."
Bruce and Y/N had been putting on a show for the media for quite a few weeks now. The fake dating was his parents grand idea. Before they had passed away, they had set up the two childhood friends in hope that they could maintain the family fortune. Bruce thought the whole affair was disgusting, but now he could finally be free from whatever the hell this was.
Y/N on the other-hand, never gave it much thought. She grew up without parents of her own, so she had been determined to keep Mr. and Mrs. Wayne happy.
"Are you alright?" Bruce sat back down in his chair. He pulled open a drawer to get the sunglasses he had set aside for the video.
Y/N stood there, "Is any of this right? I feel like we shouldn't do this." She walked over to a mirror and fixed the hair that had fallen from its previous position. They were both a mess, internally and externally.
"Nothing about my family is right. The way they died, the way they forced us into this." He said in a tone dripping with venom.
"I don't really think it's that bad," Y/N began, but stopped before Bruce got even more upset, "But if you need me, I'll be in my room." She left with a small smile and a few tears in her eyes.
She had always cared about Bruce. She hated the way he carried the weight of his parents on his back, constantly blaming everything on himself. She wanted him to have a better life, but he was just too stubborn.
That was another thing she loved about him.
When she reached her room, Alfred had already made some tea and set it by her bed. Being a Wayne was extremely tiring but even more so when it's all fake. None of this was real, and that made everything harder.
Y/N fell asleep reading a book she wanted Bruce to read, finally resting after the draining day they had both experienced.
After a few hours, Bruce had walked in. Seeing the blankets had fallen off, he picked them back up and gently covered the girl back up. He stood there watching her calm face and rising and falling chest. He would never admit to it, but sometimes he could swear Y/N did something to him. Like the world was less cruel when she was around him. That was impossible though, of course.
The next morning, every news outlet in Gotham and the surrounding cities were on fire with the 'leaked' video of the famous Wayne couple splitting.
Y/N, walking downstairs, could already feel the tension. Bruce stood by the television with a sturdy scowl.
"Hell of a way to wake up, huh?" She tried to break the ice. She sat down on the sofa and shook her head, "You're a pretty good actor."
"Part of that was true, you know." Bruce faced her, "I don't want to be with you."
Y/N's heart sank a bit. She figured he would push her away after this, but God knows she wasn't ready for it.
"Shit," He mumbled to himself, "I don't mean it like that. I just don't want to be forced, you know? I feel like we would've ended up together anyway regardless of my family."
Oh.
"I've always had feelings for you. Its been like that ever since we met, and I've always been sure I wanted to be with you forever."
"Well it's kind of fucked up now, isn't it?" She looked him in the eyes with a hint of sadness.
He looked down at his slippers. She had bought him those for his birthday.
They sat there for what felt like an eternity. The only sounds were the hustle and bustle of early morning traffic and heavy hearts. Neither one could speak, because what was there to be said? The only way they could be together now was too be together in secret, in the dark. It was ironic in a way.
"Good morning, Master Wayne. You have a call from someone." Alfred came in to break the silence.
Bruce got up and walked out, shuffling to his office. Usually he wouldn't answer, but God knew he wanted to get out of the awkward quietness.
"Are you alright, Ma'am?" Alfred fixed the pillows where Bruce had been sitting, "I'm sure a cup of tea would help. Peppermint or Green?"
"Peppermint's fine." Y/N sighed, "Alfred, is this ever going to get better? I feel like this is all my fault."
"Time heals all wounds, Mrs. Wayne." He smiled and went to the kitchen. Did he not remember she and Bruce had split? They were no longer associated like that.
The staged video popped back up onto the screen of the TV. The familiar yelling and crying coming back to her. It all looked pretty believable.
"You've been lying this whole time about your love for me?" The camera zoomed in on Y/N's face, catching the almost real heartbreak on her face.
The camera switched over to Bruce, who was straight-faced, "I've never loved you."
Y/N shut the TV off, not wanting to relive it again. She got up, went into the kitchen to grab the tea Alfred had made, and went up to her room. She plopped down on her bed and stared at the ceiling.
The door creaked open and the tall, brooding man walked through and sat by her.
"I'm sorry."
She looked at him. His hair falling in his face, his eyes practically dyed black from the paint he used to help conceal his identity. To most it would likely scare them away, but to Y/N, it was familiar.
"I am too, bats." She sat up and rested her head on his shoulder, "I am too."
"Do you think we would've had a chance if they didn't set us up?" He questioned softly.
Y/N chuckled quietly. The odds had been stacked against the two since day one. She thought about it for a moment, then answered.
"I think we would've tried."
"So why don't we," He looked down at the girl resting on him, "We can always say we're trying to patch things up if the press asks. We could just start a new book and fill it with better things."
Y/N didn't know how to word it, "What went wrong in the first place?"
Bruce bit his lip, "I think we were just given a bad script, a bad plot. We did the best we could with it though."
"Apparently we have good character development," Y/N smiled, "So maybe this isn't the end of the story necessarily, just a new chapter."
He kissed the top of her head, "You know, even though we were just putting on a show for everyone, I legitimately loved you. I feel like a bitch for trying to distance you from me." He paused, "I just wasn't sure you were happy where you were."
"As long as I'm with you, I'll be happy. No matter what happens," She wrapped her arm around him and hugged his side, "Here's to a new chapter, right?"
"Yeah," He nodded, "A new chapter."

THE MANY CRUSHES OF LUKE PATTERSON... AND THE ONE THAT STUCK
💌💌💌💌💌💌💌💌
1982
Luke Patterson's first crush ever was Haley Martin. He adored the colour of her hair — like the clementines his mom bought — and the way she finger-painted, enough for his four year old eyes to stare at her in awe.
He watched her make mud pies in the sandbox from the monkey bars, only to ruin them to get a rise out of her. He couldn't understand why she didn't like him the way he did, so he nagged his mom to explain.
"Teasing girls should be fun for them too, sweetheart," she soothed. "This Haley clearly didn't like it."
He blinked. "Huh?"
Her smile stayed warm, similar to hot chocolate and whenever grandpa conjured candies from behind his ear. "Why don't you share your grapes with her tomorrow? I'm sure she'll like that."
His nose scrunched up. "Why?"
"Because it's sweet, Luke."
"I don't get that," he shrugged. "But I'll try."
The next day, he sat beside her during storybook time and that seemed to help a little already. By the time it was lunch, her mood was lifted, which excited him too, and urged him to offer the grapes.
It earned him a featherlight kiss on the cheek.
Luke squeaked in surprise, flushing a firetruck red, to which she giggled and plopped another grape in her mouth.
Three days later, his crush was gone from his mind and he began sharing his grapes with his new friend Reginald instead.
1986
"Can you ask Jessica what she thinks of me?" Luke hurriedly whispered, eyes flickering between Reggie and the girl from across the courtyard.
Normally, Luke Patterson exuded confidence. The resident class clown, always opening his jaw to react to the teacher without raising his hand, catching fights with stupid classmates, sneaking into dad's stationwagon to create mixtapes.
Fearlessness was his freaking middle name. (It was actually Beck, but whatever. He wished it was something cool like Duran Duran though.)
But when it came to girls... he got so nervous. Because they were girls! He didn't understand them! They hated rambunctious boys and only listened to stupid pop music and blabbered about how they stole makeup from their sisters.
Jessica, however, somehow made his heart flutter and his stomach twist up. She just looked cool in her dungarees and she had a pretty smile and she didn't wear that overwhelming, sugary perfume that was now popular.
Reggie snickered, in the way only eight year old boys could. "You liiiiiiike her!"
"No!" He scowled. "I–I'm just curious."
"Sure," he drawled, but then shrugged in agreement, the oversized leather jacket rustling on his shoulders. He stole it from his older brother after he saw him kissing (!!!) some girl and figured it held some magic to impress the ladies with.
"Just do it!"
With a dramatic flourish, the boy left their hiding spot, Luke lurking around the corner of the alcove to watch. Jessica looked up from her hard work of creating friendship bracelets and smiled at Reggie.
Oh, gosh. She was pretty.
A minute later, a sheepish Reg slowly crawled back to him, cheeks red and fiddling with the zipper of his jacket.
Luke grabbed his shoulders, urgent. "What did she say?"
"Uh... well..."
"C'mon, dude!"
Reggie sighed. "She... likes me, buddy. Sorry."
His hopeful face crashed into one of devestation, quickly covering it up with a laugh and a squeeze of the shoulder. Oh, man, what would Steven Tyler do?
"That– that's dope!"
In the end, Reggie and Jessica were boyfriend and girlfriend for a week while he wrote an angry poem about how stupid dungarees were.
Huh... it was surprisingly good.
1988
"Hey, Luke," Gwenn greeted, shy, tucking her hands in her Camp Wacky Rocka hoodie. "I really liked that song you made about your guitar."
Jumping from the tree branch to the ground, Luke dazzled her with an appreciative smile. From above, Reggie and their new friend Alex watched on curiously.
"Thanks!"
Who would've thought that summer camp would be the first time he made a real, girl friend! Gwenn was super cool and she played the saxophone and she liked Joan Jett and her hair was all curly and big and it reminded him of pretty clouds.
Looking over her shoulder, he noticed a gaggle of girls staring at them. Like they were waiting.
Gwenn stared at him. "Can you close your eyes?"
He frowned. "Why?"
"Just 'cause."
Whatever. Maybe she wanted to show him something cool and would stick it in his hand. Complying, he closed his eyes and impatiently waited, bouncing on his heels.
"So?"
Suddenly, he felt a light, warm touch on his mouth and — oh! She was kissing him!
Luke staggered back in surprise, gawking at a blushing Gwenn as she squeaked a sorry and ran back to the now giggling and screeching girls. They ran away like a flock of birds.
It was a dare! His first kiss, stolen by a dare!
His boys jumped down beside him, awed.
Reggie hollered. "You kissed Gwenn!"
"I don't get it," Alex muttered.
Luke's face twisted up in a sour expression. Camp Wacky Rocka should be all about the music and becoming legends and Gwenn ruined it!
He stuck his tongue out. "Whatever. Let's go to the mess hall!"
1989
When Luke turned eleven, he kissed someone for real.
His birthday party was at the arcade, loud chatter and robotic sounds clashing together in an amazing cacophony. His parents hated the place, which is why Luke loved it.
Of the twenty guests, Yasmine clapped the loudest after he finished his song with the boys — Math Is For Losers! — and grabbed his hand as they walked to a duel game.
Luke felt fuckin' giddy the entire time. (Freakin' in front of his parents, fuckin' with friends.) The swoop in his stomach, his cheeks stretched into a wide beam.
Freshly eleven and the king of the arcade, he boldly asked if he could kiss her.
She smiled, her purple headband glittering in the neon lights, and nodded.
It was short and warm and her lips tasted like pink lemonade and sour gummies and it gave him an entirely new buzz. It was exciting.
He kissed her a couple more times the days after, eager and curious, until she claimed she was now only interested in twelve year old boys.
Since Luke now held the record of most kisses between him, Alex and Reggie, he wasn't too bothered by it. They shook hands, complimented each other on the kissing, and that was that.
1992
"Are you or are you not my boyfriend?" Olivia bit, crossing her arms.
Luke sighed, lazy gaze drifting from her to his band waiting by their bikes. Damn, he thought having a girlfriend would be way easier. Why was she so tense?
"I am," he said. "Why do you think I'm not?"
"Because you ignore me, like, all the time!" Pouting, she fiddled with the hem of her tartan skirt. "And now you're going to be with your band!"
He shrugged. "You can come with us and listen, if you want."
Luke met Olivia this year as deskmates in French class. Her raven hair was long and thick and her lips were all shiny from lip gloss and maybe he got a little cocky, thinking he could be dating the hottest girl of freshman year, so he naturally asked her out.
Maybe he should've considered beforehand whether they had anything in common, but he'd always been the overzealous type. And besides... she was a good kisser.
She scoffed. "That's not any better. Whatever. I'll just hang with Tina and Priscilla then. Laters!"
Plopping a kiss on his lips, she turned around and stalked to her whispering friends. Luke puffed, adjusted the beanie and made his way to the boys.
Girls were confusing.
"I bet dating boys is easier," Alex mused. "Like, equally terrifying, but also... easier. I think. Maybe."
Bobby laughed. "How's the girlfriend, Luke?"
"Ha ha," he deadpanned. "Let's go. I got this new song, Crooked Teeth, and it's a fucking banger!"
Olivia broke up with him after Sunset Curve's first, official gig at the arcade with the explanation that he loved music more than her. He never loved her to begin with, so maybe that was the problem.
She made out with Bobby that same night.
Holy shit, man. He supposed that bitter feeling at the sight of them tasted like rock 'n roll, the one thing he actually craved.
What a funny, funny feeling. (He wrote a hell of a lot of songs about it after. He never quite looked at Bobby the same way either.)
1995
"Hey, Maisie." Leaning against the locker beside the girl, he shot her a million dollar smile. "You comin' to our gig tonight? It's at The Orpheum."
Maisie was fucking awesome. Always in short, flowery dresses and fishnet tights and thick eyeliner like a rockstar, always listening to something new on her walkman. She came from a rich family, but that didn't hinder them from becoming friends.
Her jaw fell slack in awe, him instantly gaining more confidence. Ducking his head to meet her eye, he leaned a little closer. He knew damn well what he was doing, and he got a thrill every time it worked.
"Really?" She gasped. "That's awesome! I'll so be there!"
"Sweet," he grinned. "And stay after too."
A brow quirked up, intrigued. "Why?"
He shrugged. "Just 'cause."
"Right," she drawled. "Nothing is 'just because' with you, Luke."
"And that's why you gotta stay," he teased, nudging her shoe with his. "To find out."
If they rocked that gig and he felt like a fucking legend, he hoped it would end with the two of them hooking up. He wasn't interested in dating — having learned his lesson after Olivia — and he knew she wasn't either, but she was fun.
And that was the most important to him: to have fucking fun. Luke Patterson was here for a good time, not a long time.
And if nothing happened between him and Maisie, then he'd still feel like a legend. In a couple of hours, he was going to play at The Orpheum! How gnarly was that?!
2022
Twenty-seven years later, Luke was still seventeen years old. While he preferred to not question the science behind ghostly activities — he flunked physics anyway — he was happy that he froze at this age.
Because Julie was seventeen, too.
And, man. He was madly in love with her.
He loved everything, from the babyhairs curling around her ears, to her voice and compassionate soul, to her beautiful smile, all the way to her cute, doodled sneakers.
Her epic music taste, her snark, the way she always found his gaze, the way she finished his lyrics, the way she always knew what to say to make him feel better.
His heart melted to a flickering candle whenever she hugged him, a raging wildfire erupting between every kiss. He was a fool for her.
"Stop moving," she giggled, one hand coming up to hold his chin.
He grinned, "Sorry, Jules."
Shifting closer, she dabbled more glitter on his cheeks. They were playing at a black-light club tonight, so Julie and Flynn bought all the glow in the dark makeup available at the store for the occasion.
They looked ridiculous in daylight, Julie's weirdly pink lipstick claiming all his attention, but he knew they'd look fucking cool once the lights went down.
"You want to watch a movie after the gig?" she whispered.
Luke rolled his eyes, playful. "You're gonna fall asleep."
"Yeah." With a bashful tilt of the shoulder, she leaned in closer. "But then you'll be with me."
"Julie! How scandalous," he teased, though his chest swelled at the thought of having some alone time, some cuddle time, with Julie.
"So?"
Murmuring a yes, he closed the little distance to kiss her, sealing the deal, only for her to chase after him — an attempt to wipe the lipstick stain off his lips.
"Nah, keep it." A smirk grew. "So the people know."
She tsked. "Idiot."
"You like it."
"I'm still taking it off though, seeing as you're supposed to be a hologram," she pointed out. "But... you can kiss my lipstick away after the show."
He sighed, dreamy. "I love you."
Finishing his glitter and removing the stain, she dazzled him with a satisfied smile. "Love you too."
She rose up from the couch and went to search for Reggie, the boy likely with Carlos. For a moment, Luke was alone in the studio, allowing himself to sink into that warm, fuzzy feeling.
No matter how many blunders he went through with girls — Haley, Jessica, Gwenn, Yasmine, Olivia, Maisie — they all prepared him, in one way or the other, for Julie.
To not only recognise when an awesome girl was standing right in front of him, but also how to treat her — because Julie Molina deserved the fucking world.
Even if that world now included the supernatural.
Whatever. They were all a little crazy.

thank u, next (ft. loki)
Warnings: angst, swearing, jealousy, mentions of sex
Word count: 4.5k
Summary: A new team member in the group shakes things up for the super soldier.
Or: In which Steve casts you aside for a Carter only to regret his decision when he sees you with the God of Mischief.
Tumblr media
"Yeet."
Swiveling your chair, you saw the empty pint of ice cream hit garbage can, bouncing off the rim and dropping on the floor with a light thump. You looked at Tony, shaking your head. "You've been hanging out with Peter too much."
"Why, thank you." Tony replied, smirking at you. "So, tell me, you sexy vixen, how do you feel with Thor bringing Loki? You were quiet during the whole argument that almost ended with Barton ripping out his eye."
You shrugged, the heels Tony had bought earlier drawing your attention to your feet. "I'm fine. I don't really care, I mean, I wasn't with you guys when New York happened so I don't really think I get to have an opinion about whether the mind-controlled God of Lies gets a spot in the team."
"You realize your on the team, right? I'm pretty sure your opinion matters especially with the mass murderer joining." Tony replied, accidentally hitting himself with the candy cane in his hands. "I really thought you were going to side with Cap on this one. You always do."
It wasn't a secret that Steve Rogers wasn't completely on board with the plan. That was pushing it; in other words: Steve Rogers despised the plan. If he could kill it, he would've. When Thor had proposed the plan to bring Loki on the team (a punishment from Odin himself)—trying to convince everyone he was "good" now—less than a handful had let him continue speaking. The rest wanted to riot. You had just sat there, a smirk on your face as you watched the six of them fight with each other while Fury shook his head, looking like a disappointed father.
When everyone had came to an agreement on Loki's trial period, there had been pages of rules on what he was restricted on doing including magic and stabbing. Of course, it was very specific so even the God of Mischief couldn't find a loophole. Maybe he could if he tried, which he probably will.
Clicking your tongue, you shrugged, ignoring the little pang in your chest. "Not on this. I'm smart enough to see that there's more reward than risk to have Loki on the team. For example: he's not bad to look at."
Tony choked on his candy cane, coughing up a large piece. With wide eyes, he studied you in silence, trying to figure out if you had been joking. "Are you serious? We should bring you to Helen so you can get your head checked. There's a chance you might have a concussion from the last mission."
"You have eyes, you can see how regal he is despite not genuinely being born royal. And those cheekbones..." you trailed off, biting your lip at Loki's handsome features. Tony raised an eyebrow, slowly shaking his head. "Not that his perfect bone structure justifies all the people he's killed. I'm just very observant being an avenger and all."
"Uh-huh, yeah, yeah, yeah, sure." Tony mumbled, leaning back on his chair, his eyes narrowing after your confession. "Ms. Natalia Romanoff didn't get the chance to tell me what happened between you and old Capsicle."
Rolling your eyes, you spun around in your chair, facing away from the nosy billionaire. "There's not that much to tell. We talked, we liked each other, then the sun came up and reality set in as the form of Sharon Carter. It didn't take long for him to ditch me to go for Peggy's niece. Anyways, been there, done that. People change."
"You're not the same girl I met." Tony stated. "On that note, Rogers' old brain is still defrosting and he's getting older so I don't think he knows how stupid he is...yet."
"And I'm not going to wait for him to find out." you muttered, a loud sound coming from the big yard. Looking through the garage window, you saw the blinding light before two figures in different colored capes appeared, the blinding light ruining the fresh-cut grass. Beaming at Tony, you got up. "Want to plan a party with me?"
"You say that like I'd have the ability to say no. Tonight?" Tony replied, grinning at thought of loud electronic dance music and booze.
Getting up, the stilettos clicked on the floor, your perfect pedicure peeking through the hole. Smiling, you walked towards the door. "Well, we are in the presence of two Gods. I think it's only fair we celebrate like it."
"I'm putting Party in the USA on the track-list!"
Rushing to the lawn where the rest of the team gathered, your mood was lightened by the sight of the golden haired retriever in disguised as a jacked God. Ignoring the others, you threw yourself at Thor, the God of Thunder catching you, arms tightening around your body. You let out a breathless laugh, momentarily forgetting your idiotic plan to avoid Steve. "Thor!"
Thor guffawed, lifting you off the ground, shouting your name in glee before letting you breathe again. "My favorite avenger! Miss me?"
"Duh." you responded, glancing at Loki, who had magically changed into an all-black suit, his shoulder length raven-colored hair slicked back. His eyes narrowed slightly at the team who had defeated him. He looked even better in person. "So, that's Loki."
Natasha spoke up before either Asgardian could. She stepped closer, observing him with you. "Not sure. He isn't as smug as before—"
"And he's missing those horrendous reindeer horns he was wearing." Clint chimed in, crossing his arms. His hate for Loki—which had increased when he found out the man who once controlled him was coming to the team—was almost as deep as Steve's. "He looks like a witch in that black suit."
Thor snickered, releasing Loki from the handcuffs that held him. "As you all know, my adopted brother's punishment from Father is to help Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Loki understands all the rules, and he will so follow them accordingly. Isn't that right, brother?"
Loki rolled his eyes, sighing before reluctantly nodding. "Yes, I will."
"Let me make this clear, Loki." Steve stepped up, Sharon right behind him, face composed. You had to fight the urge to roll your eyes at the couple. "If you break one rule, no matter how small, you will be sent back to Asgard and face Odin's alternate punishment. Just so you're clear, we won't hesitate to send you back."
The God of Mischief smirked, feeling smug knowing he could push the super soldier's buttons. "Of course, Captain. I wouldn't dream of breaking the rules enforced."
Everyone could sense the sarcasm and mockery in his voice, all of them tensing. Thor sighed, clapping his brother on the back, the force making Loki take a steps forward. "Come on, brother. I'll show you your quarters before you get punched by Lady Natasha."
Without waiting for Loki to answer, Thor practically pulled Loki's arm off, pulling him towards the building, crossing the ruined lawn that Tony would bitch about later. Everyone followed them, staying a few feet back, wary of the new team member. You noticed Steve stealing glances at you, quickly moving away from Sharon's side and made his way to you.
Without being too obvious, you squeezed your way between Bruce and Natasha, snaking your arms between there's, hoping it would give Steve the impression not to talk to you. Ever. Natasha threw you a sympathetic smile, squeezing your wrist while Bruce raised an eyebrow, clearly confused.
Thor continued talking about the new compound, leading his brother to the entrance while pointing out installments that would've seemed impressive to a simple "midgardian."
He might've unconsciously murdered people but he kinda thicc.
At that exact moment, Loki turned around, his piercing blue eyes meeting yours. His smirk grew, glancing between you and Steve before turning back. It had been so quick that you weren't sure it even happened. The group scattered as soon as they stepped a foot inside; Bruce heading to the lab, Steve following him while Sharon split and headed up to Medbay, Natasha hitting the gym with Clint, leaving you alone with Thor and Loki.
Unfortunately, Thor's room had been across yours, the empty room next to yours becoming Loki's so both a spy and a god could keep an eye on the trickster. Both Tony and Steve had fought on that, Steve concerned about your safety while Tony argued back, telling him you could keep yourself safe. If not, Thor was there. That had angered you; Steve didn't think you were capable of fighting off Loki if it came to it, and that made you roll your eyes at him, exiting the room.
"...and this will be your quarters. Decorate it any way you want, just no magic." Thor continued, reaching the area of your rooms. It was a big arc, the area looking like a semi-circle with three doors spaced evenly out. "My chambers is across Lady Y/N's, so we won't have any problems. She's a smart one, brother. Anything else to add, Sunshine?"
You ignored the nickname, eyes narrowing at the black-suited man. "There's a party tonight 'celebrating' the addition to the team. It starts at 8 so don't be late or else Tony will have your head. Also, if you wake me up before seven in the morning, watch your back 'cause I hold grudges."
Giving Thor a smile, you head to your room, closing the door with a sigh. On the other side, you heard Loki chuckle once. "I like her."
"She's serious. She almost ripped my heart out the one time I accidentally woke her from her slumber." Thor added, the clap on his brother's back loud. "Get ready for the party, Loki."
Loki had been forced in his room by his brother, the door closing after him. He listened carefully, hearing you plop on your bed. He bit back a smirk, a plan unfolding in his brain. With a swift gesture of a finger, the room had been decorated, the hideous white theme changing into an exact copy of Loki's bedroom in Asgard.
The day went by fast as you wasted it away planning the party with Tony, who had, in no way, helped. You had ran off to your room once the people Tony had hired came, setting up everything in the main room. As you walked to the three-bedroom wing, you saw Steve rocking back and forth in front of your door, his hands in his pocket while Thor gushed about his flying hammer.
Relief washed over his face as soon as he spotted you, and you almost turned around, wishing you had gone to Natasha's room to get ready.
Steve called out your name, abruptly ending his conversation with Thor. As you walked closer, you could see the concern etched on his face. "Hey, are you okay?"
Thor watched your reaction, your face fighting the urge to make a face at America's sweetheart. Maneuvering your body, you slid between the two men to get to your room. "I'm fun-fucking-tastic. Thor, remind Loki about the party. I didn't spend the whole day with Tony for Loki to miss his own party."
"I'll be there, darling." Loki chimed in, his head poking out of his bedroom. Everyone turned to look at him, seeing the not-so-subtle wink he gave you.
Ignoring Steve's clenched fists, you moved past them, entering your room. Before closing the door, you said, "Tony requests the presence of all three of you, by the way. There's no way you're getting out of this. See you at 8!"
With a sighed of relief, you closed the door in Steve's face, the loud slam cutting off whatever he was about to interject. He could talk to Sharon about whatever shit he was dealing with, the girl he chose. You were no longer someone he could vent to after the shit he pulled, leading you on before leaving for Sharon Carter. It was then that you came to the decision to not love so easily.
Getting ready for the party took longer than you thought it would, the hot shower burning your skin to the point your skin started to redden. Your mind wandered to Loki, curios about the wink. Maybe it was his way of messing with people, a loophole that had not been included in the agreement. Realizing how inappropriate it was to think about the God while showering, you quickly turned the water off and stepped out.
Knowing Natasha, she's be disappointed if you didn't dress up like your inner slut, the one that got fucked up in Tokyo, and the petty hoe who would do everything to make Steve Rogers regret his decision. Well, you weren't going to let your sestra down.
The sultry, tight red dress was almost too short to be considered decent. With it's low cropped top, your tits we're begging for attention, the bra non-existent. Your new motto: protect the city, free the titties. The matching red stilettos would've been a pain if you hadn't started wearing them so early in your life. You let your hair down, running hand through it before slapping some natural makeup on your face, trying not to look desperate for attention.
It was around 8:15 when you finally finished, already exhausted by the amount of work you had to put on for others, but mostly for yourself. Either Tony or Natasha would come barreling through your door if you were going to be any later. Rushing, you took a quick look in the mirror before opening your door, nearly bumping into the God of Mischief.
He was dressed in a black buttoned-downed dress shirt with matching dress pants. Like before, his hair was slicked back, the shoulder length, raven hair looking silky and sexy. You both eye each other, eyes appreciating the sight in front of them. It wasn't until you finally met his eyes that he cleared his throat, a smug smile covering half his face.
"Would you mind accompanying me to the party, Lady Y/N? My brother is an idiot and cannot give a proper tour with his minuscule organ that he calls a brain. As of that, I do not know where this celebration is held." Loki explained, holding out his arm, waiting for you to take it. He raised an eyebrow while you hesitated. "If not, I could just follow you and everyone would assume I'm planning to have your head."
"Jesus Christ, you and Thor are so fucking dramatic." you grumbled, taking Loki's arm, your arm snaking around his. "Must run in the family, huh?"
"I'm adopted."
"I don't care."
Loki darkly chuckled, feeling your warm body against his, letting himself grow closer, enough that he could feel more of you but not enough that you would've noticed. "I sincerely hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you look rather ravishing, darling."
"Have you ever thought of cutting your hair?" you replied, loving the way Loki's smug expression wavered—probably expecting a compliment—before composing himself. "You'd look less like Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean."
"I don't understand." Loki said, leading you towards the elevator. For someone who claimed they didn't know where they were headed, he had the sense of knowing where everything was.
You waved the pop culture reference away, pushing the elevator button. "You wouldn't. Is Thor already at the party?"
"I'm quite positive."
The rest of the walk to the main room was quiet, neither of you making small talk as you led him. More like, he led you. You were suspicious he had stayed back and faked not knowing the compound in order to mess with you. But you waved that thought away, focus on getting distracting yourself from Steve.
You could hear the party before seeing it, the big room had been half full, not too much, not too little, yet you had been surprised considering how extra Tony could be. Letting go of Loki's arm, you walked to the bar where Natasha was sipping a glass of whiskey, ignoring the rest of the party. She pulled out a bottle of gin as you arrived, raising an eyebrow at your accompanied date.
"Before you say anything, he didn't know where the party was so he asked me to guide him. Nicely if I might add." you said, pushing back the bottle, settling on a bottle of water instead.
Natasha smirked, watching Loki interact with his brother, a frown deepening on his face. "He knows where everything is, Thor gave him the whole tour while you were with Tony. Can't believe you took the bait."
"Ugh." you grumbled, wishing you could forget about tomorrow and drown your problems in alcohol but the last hangover nearly killed you.
"Stevie doesn't look to happy with you showing up with Loki." Natasha noticed, the smirk widening as she watched Steve's glare grew more lethal as Loki's grin got bigger. "This is so much better than America's Next Top Models fails. Do you wanna bet that one of them will punch the other before the party is over?"
"Daddy, chill." you mimicked, turning to see how enraged old Capsicle is. But with the blonde besides him, looking up him in both wonder and worry, he had no right to be angry at Loki for attending a party that had been thrown for him, despite the many people he murdered—while being controlled. "He can't seriously still be sour about Loki joining."
The redhead giggled, a little drunk from the amount of alcohol she already consumed. "I don't think that's what he's so broody about, not anymore at least. He was smiling until he saw you on Loki's arm."
"Ain't my fault he chose Peggy's niece over me, meaning he doesn't get to be jealous whether Loki is my date or a walker for these killer stilettos." you muttered, secretly loving and hating the jealousy that oozed out of Steve Rogers. Even his blonde date had noticed. "Look at these heels, aren't they gorgeous?"
"Almost as gorgeous as you." Natasha replied, winking just before she drowned the rest of her drink. She winced a little at the taste.
"How many of those have you had?" you wondered, eyeing the spy. After the worst hangover of both your lives, Natasha had made you swear to never let her get that drunk again. Although with the rate she was going, you feared you had been too late.
She shrugged, taking your bottle of water. "Four. Oh, look, here comes Steve."
Before you could ditch, Steve leaned against the counter, his blue buttoned down shirt matching his blue eyes. Natasha not-so-subtly walked to the other side of the bar, motioning for Bruce to keep her company, although knowing her, she'd listen to every word.
"Rogers," you greeted coldly, looking everywhere but him. He tensed at your cold greeting, the frown looking permanently pressed on his face. "Enjoying the party?"
"Yeah."
Lie.
"Good."
You sat there for a good two minutes before he cleared his throat, shifting his weight nervously from one foot onto the other. Steve coughed in his fist. "So...living near Loki isn't too much trouble, is it? He causing any trouble, yet?"
"Sweet as an angel." you replied sarcastically, wishing you were anywhere but here. Loki caught your eye, raising a hand to wave and the group that had been brave enough to be near him, gasped in shock, the noises audible across the room. Their reactions made you chuckle.
Steve cleared his throat, this time louder. "Would you like to dance?"
"Ask your girlfriend." you fired back, satisfied by the hurt on his face. After the stunt he pulled, leading you on only to stomp of your heart, you wanted to be selfish and make him suffer just a little bit. Thankful, Loki came to your rescue.
Ignoring Steve, he held out his arm once again, a smile playing on his lips as he took in the tense situation between you and Steve. But before he could utter a single word, Sharon decided it was the perfect time to come looking for Steve. She assessed the situation, awkwardly noting Loki's presence.
"Er, hello." Sharon said, standing in false bravery. She wouldn't admit it, but she was afraid of the God of Mischief.
Loki gave her a curt nod and held out a hand to you instead, easily fitting yours in his. He murmured your name, softly kissing your knuckles. "Would you like to dance? This is the first song that came on that has not made me want to tear my ears off."
"Why, yes, I would." you agreed with a grin, moving your body close to Loki as you reached the unofficial dance floor, everyone's eyes on the both of you, with shock and slight fear. You would've cackled at their reactions—and it looked like Loki wanted to, too—if you hadn't been raised with manners. "Thank you."
Loki raised an eyebrow, surprised by the words. "For what, if I may ask?"
"Saving me back there. I don't need that kind of drama in my life. Not anymore." you explained, drinking in the warmth of his arm wrapping around your waist as you both slowly swayed to the slow song.
The raven-haired God smiled—not the smug smirk he wore, but a genuine one that Thor hadn't seen his brother wear for a few years now. "My pleasure. A lady like you deserves someone who'll give her his undivided attention. Any suitor would be lucky to have a tenth of your attention."
A coping mechanism: you rolled your eyes but you couldn't help the small smile that forced itself on you lips. You bit it back, hoping no one had noticed.
Loki had. And he meant every word he said.
By the end of the night, you found yourself naked, against the wall and legs wrapped around Loki's waist. Lips crashed against one another, soft kisses trailing down necks, leaving little love marks that would surely be dark. But at the moment, you didn't care. Not when Loki whispered sweet nothings in your ear as he took you from behind, above, underneath, and even on the side. You had both been teasing each other at the party and now you had given in, no matter the consequences.
Annoyed Steve had missed the date he had asked you on, you walked up to his room, heels clicking. You had waited for him for over two hours, texted him and getting no replies, leaving the restaurant with the humiliation of being stood up.
But as you neared his door, you heard crying. But it wasn't Steve. Peeking inside, you saw Sharon. Pretty, talented Sharon. Her eyes were red, tears steaming down her cheeks while Steve hugged her shoulders, resting his chin on her head as he comforted her. Jealousy and hurt knocked the breath out of you.
You waited.
And waited.
And it happened. Leaning in slowly, he kissed her. Softly, like he had kissed you. And she kissed him back, finding comfort in the kiss.
Heart breaking in two, you left, leaving the door open. The couple broke their kiss long enough to see you walk away through the slit of the door. Steve hung just head, feeling terrible. But Sharon had helped him as he had. This time, they hadn't stopped at kissing, forgetting the girl who had her heart broken by the man who claimed he would never hurt her.
Steve knew it was over between you two, but he could focus his attention on caring as much as he wanted to when Sharon kept kissing him. He did try to apologize only to learn you had went to visit Thor in Asgard, leaving him to feel sorry for himself and his decisions. Yet, he still found temporary comfort in Sharon's arms.
You woke to the warmth of Loki's arms around you. Opening your eyes, you found yourself tangled limbs with the God of Lies, your hair a mess, a hand over his chest and a leg over his waist. Your cheek rested on the crook of his neck, fitting perfectly as if he was made for you.
"Good morning." Loki whispered, stroking your hair with one hand, the other softly massaging your thigh. "Sleep well?"
Nuzzling into his neck, you snorted at the irony. "Don't know, considering we didn't do much sleeping."
Loki chuckled, pressing a soft kiss on your head. "Touché. It would only be fair of me to apologize for the love marks I left on your soft skin last night. Forgive me but I could not help myself."
Gasping, you jumped up, looking at the vanity mirror across your bed to find your collarbone, neck, and the top of your breast covered in Loki's hickeys. He looked rather proud of himself than sorry. "Loki!"
"Please note my apologies are genuine when they are directed towards you. Although, I have to admit, I'm quite proud of myself. It's my best art." Loki announced, bringing himself up on his elbows, eyes ravaging your naked flesh, littered with his marks.
Noticing the difference between your bodies, you quickly turned around to see the reflections had been right; Loki's body remained unmarked. "I swear to god I left hickeys and bite marks all over you last night."
"You tried but got rather mad when my skin healed itself." Loki explained, pulling you back in his warm arms. The soft gesture surprised you, the whole situation coming into light. You had slept with Thor's murderous brother. Loki read your thoughts. "Don't be like that, love. What what I can remember, you enjoyed yourself last night quite immensely. If it will make you feel better, I can show all the love bites you made the night before."
Thankful you hadn't drank anything last night, you had been so happy to not wake up with a hangover and Loki. Turning to face him, you raise an eyebrow. "What?"
With a smirk, his chest gleamed green for a second before it uncovered layers and layers of hickeys, and reddening bite marks. It was identical to yours. You gasped in shocked while Loki stared at you in amusement, his arms tightening. "You did a little bit of damage. I'm proud."
"Holy shit—" you were cut off by Thor and Steve bursting into your room, the sudden motion making you cover up your naked chest with a shriek. The two men's jaws dropped as they took in the scene, Loki's bare chest covered with the evidence from last night, his arms wrapped around you while you stared at them with wide eyes. "Knock, goddamnit!"
Both of them stood in silence, their brains not processing what was in front of them. Steve's eyes had mirrored yours from when you caught him kissing Sharon, eyes watering, you could see his heart breaking just by making eye contact. But at that moment, you couldn't find yourself to care, not with Loki's arms around you.
"What—" Thor began.
Loki smirked, kissing your bare shoulder. "Hello, brother."

You were not having a good day. You had missed your bus stop after already being an hour late to work, and to top it all off, you were accused of the mistakes in a large business report you and your coworkers wrote. After a long day of trying to fix whatever went wrong in the said report, Dio, your little devil, dragged you out of the comforts of your home to a nearby club and wind down with him.
The club wasn’t somewhere you would go, but it seemed to please Dio and you thought to yourself, why not just enjoy it? You weren’t needed at home, anyways, with Ricky out with his friends and Eddie at the library to study. And of course, Dio was with you the rest of the night.
He took you to the bar and ordered the both of you some drinks, glancing at you with a grin. You sat in front of him on the stool, leaning back against the bar to see that mischievous glint in his eyes. "Now, isn't this fun, mommy?" He said unabashedly, his hands resting on your thighs as he stood in between your legs. He picked up your drink once it arrived, sniffing it once before handing it to you.
"It's alright," You teased, giving him a half-smile. Sipping on your drink, you take your time scoping out the area. There were multiple bodies on the dance floor, all dancing and swaying to the beat of the songs, and there were groups of people sitting at the booths and the bar. You looked back at him, catching the soft expression on his face before it melted back to his confident persona. "I can see why you and your friends like coming 'round here, it's entertaining and the booze ain't bad either."
Dio glowed at your praise, perking up and broadening his shoulders. "Of course! I wouldn't bring my mommy anywhere that's polluted with a bunch of drones." You shook your head, amused by his words. Leaning in, you pressed a kiss on the edge of his lips, feeling him chase you when you pulled back. He pouted for a second before bringing back his cheshire grin, "Do you want to come dance with me, mommy? I promise you'll have a good time."
"Hmm, I don't know, baby," You said regretfully, "I'm feeling too tired to dance. How about you go and have fun, hm? Mommy will keep an eye on you from here."
You laughed as he harrumphed, knowing that he brought you here solely to show you off, and now he wouldn't get the chance to. Your devil was a popular guy amongst the punk grunge community, that much you knew, but you've never been introduced into it.
Watching him slunk into the crowd, you silently observe him as you drink your liquor. He walked through the crowd as if it would part just for him, and it did. His head was held high, a slight swagger to his walk, and-
He approached a girl, slightly shorter than him, definitely a fan of him by the way she reacted, and led her to the dance floor. You glare daggers into the girl across the room, but mostly directed it into the leather-clad shoulders you were oh so familiar with. Your grip around your glass tightened as he turned her around, her back facing you, so he could catch your eyes as they ground against each other. You throw back your drink, finishing it in two gulps before standing up and stomping your way towards them.
Dio's shit-eating grin grew wider as you got closer, and the little devil had the gall to look pleased when you grab him by the arm and pull him away from the girl. Thankfully, she must've noticed your dark look and scrambled off into the crowd. You seethed at him as he grabbed you by the waist, pulling you flush against his body. "What's the matter, mommy? I thought you wanted me to have fun." He whispered in your ear.
You reached your hand up to run your fingers through his black hair, suddenly gripping it tight and tugging his head backwards. He moaned out loud at the action, an open smirk on his lips you desperately wanted to erase. His eyes were dark as his gaze landed on your tense expression, and you knew then that that was the reaction he was looking for.
"I didn't mean that kind of fun, baby. If I'd known you wanted to be a slut tonight, I would've treated you like one," You growled at him, making him bite his lip to suppress his whimper. You let go of his hair, turning around and start walking towards the exit, knowing Dio would follow you out.
The ride home was fast, your hand clutching at the steering wheel tightly while your other hand held Dio’s just as tight. You felt his eyes on you the entire time, but besides your joined hands, you ignored him completely.
When you arrive back at the empty home, you had slightly calmed down but still intended to punish Dio. He almost bumped into your back in the hallway of your house after you paused in the middle. "Mommy?" He quietly asked, feeling the shift of your energy.
You turned to face him, eyes hardened, your gaze made him cower. "Go to the bedroom and strip. Hands above your head. Don't touch, or it'll be worse for you. Understand?"
Dio nodded, his breath catching in his throat. But you aren't satisfied with that, so you grabbed his jaw, forcing him to open his mouth. "Y-yes, mommy, I understand."
"Good. Now go." You watched carefully as your devil scrambled up the stairs towards your room, his leather coat flying behind him. You took your time, however, before following him up. After bidding your time by checking things around the house, you finally climbed the stairs and entered your room.
Dio was spread out on top of your pristine sheets, as naked as the day he was born, with his hands above his head. You were pleased that he took your orders seriously for once and hummed in appreciation. His eyes were on you, tracking your every movement and waiting for your next order.
Instead, you reached down underneath the bed to grab the box of toys you shared with your three boys and pulled out a soft strand of rope. You moved to straddle Dio around his chest, far away from his leaking cock. Taking his wrists, you pulled them up and tied them to the headboard. You checked the knots to see if they were tight enough to stop him from moving his hands.
After being satisfied with your work, you shuffled down Dio's body, now sitting between his bare thighs and running your hands against his skin. "You know how this goes, right, baby? Tell me your word."
"Drone, mommy," Dio replied, already sounding breathless and all you did was tie him up. He struggled against his restraints, and when that failed, he bucked his hips down to chase your hand. You tutted and slapped his thigh, hard enough it left a pretty pink mark.
"No, Shane, mommy is going to punish you, so behave," You warned him, amused as he moaned loudly for you. You waited for him to settle down before spitting on your hand to wrap around his cock. Watching him jerk and groan, you kept at a slow rhythm, thumbing at the slit on the red cockhead every time your hand rose. "Do you like that, baby? You like mommy touching you right?"
"Yes! Y-yes, mommy, I love it," Dio hissed out, trying his best not to thrust up into your grip. It was fun seeing him unravel under your touch, how you affected and shook his whole being. It gave you a sense of power, of control over him, and nothing gave you more pleasure than that.
You abruptly pulled your hand away, making him cry out in want. You tsked at him, giving his cock a sharp slap in annoyance. Satisfied with the way he whimpered, you brought your hand back on him, this time tugging him faster and tighter. "Tell me, Shane, who owns this cock? Hm?" You asked darkly, observing how close he was to coming.
"It's yours, mommy- ah, th-this cock is yours!" He swore loudly, orgasm building quickly and eyes focusing on your hand. Growling, you pulled your hand away again, relishing in his sweet cries for more. You slapped his cock, once, twice, watching it bob left and right at the impact.
Grabbing his chin in your other hand, you made Dio look at you straight in the eye before resuming your fast and harsh rubbing. He sobbed pathetically, tears slipping from the corner of his eyes, mouth open wide with lewd sounds coming out of him.
"That's right, baby. This is my cock, so tell me- Why did you let that bitch grind on it? Is mommy not good enough for you anymore? Have to go out and whore yourself out to anybody who wants you?" You pushed his thighs wider apart, leaning your still clothed body as close to Dio as you can. He shook his head frantically, trying to speak and explain himself but before he could, you slap his cock once more. "It's okay baby," You cooed, faking sympathy. "Mommy will just have to remind her cock that it belongs to her only, isn't that right?"
Dio wailed as you keep jerking his cock, his orgasms denied multiple times it almost hurt. He pulled at his restraints, wanting to hold his mommy, but to no avail, he was tied down perfectly to your liking. "Ngh, mommy, mommy- please, I'm sorry, I'll be good, please-"
"Aw, baby, I forgive you," You said as you smiled at him, your hand pulling away from his flushed purple cock yet again, denying him of his pleasure. Thick tears start to streak his face, and you wipe them away with both of your hands. Pressing a kiss on his forehead, you felt him tip his head closer to yours, eyes shining with unshed tears. You soften at the sight of him and meld your lips together in a slow kiss. You licked at his bottom lip, nipping at it lightly and pulled at it as you leaned back. "Are you okay, baby? Still with mommy? You did so well for me, Shane, the best. Mommy will reward you now, okay?"
"Y-yes, thank you, mommy," Dio whimpered out, gasping out loud as your hand makes contact with his sensitive cock for the last time. Your movement is slower now, less tight but good enough to easily bring him to a high. You don't let go as he finally came all over your hand and his stomach, crying out loud at the intensity of his orgasm. "F-fuck! Thank you, thank you, thank you-"
"That's my good boy, taking his punishment so well and remembering his manners. You're so good for me," You mumbled against his temple, pressing soothing kisses at the matted hair and skin there. You reached up to release his wrists from the rope and kissed it lightly. You let Dio rest and relax on the bed as you moved around the room to get lotion and wet tissues.
Sitting next to him, you started rubbing the lotion at the irritated surface of his wrists, soothing it the best you can. You then clean up the mess he made on his belly and your hand and wipe away the tear stains on his cheeks, throwing away the used tissues in the garbage can near your dresser.
Thankfully, Dio calmed down as you took care of him, his breaths going back to a normal pace. You took off your clothes before laying down next to him and smile when he immediately curled into your side. You rubbed his back and stroked his hair, humming a random tune to lull him to sleep.
Before he did, he opened his tired eyes once more to stare up at you. You tilted your head in question, wondering what he has to say.
"You did well too, mommy. You feel better now, right? No more tension?" He asked, and you freeze in surprise. It made sense, Dio using his brattiness for you to let off some steam from your bad day. And he did succeed; You felt infinitely more lighter than you did at the start of the day, and it was because of your little boy.
You softly smile at him, eyes tearing up a bit at his thoughtfulness. "Yes, baby, I feel much better. Thank you for this, love you so much, Shane."
"I love you too, mommy. Now let's sleep, you tired me out." You chuckled and cuddled Dio closer to you, the both of you drifting off to a peaceful slumber.
