Scarlet Tiger Moth

A scarlet tiger moth, resting on a reed leaf at RSPB Fowlmere. The scarlet part of the name comes from the bright red hind-wings, which unfortunately aren't visible here.

I've seen a few people redesign Meowscarada to be quadruped because the Pokémon fandom just hates bipedal Starter Pokémon for some reason and to be honest….

I think people are kinda missing the point of Meowscarada's design entirely???? It's a Magician that uses sleight of hand tricks, it's a jester, it's mascarade themed, a masquerade ball, which originated in the court culture of Burgundy in the 15th century and quickly diffused to France, the Habsburg monarchy, and Spain following succession issues. It's inspired by the masks of Mardi Gras, so is the flower bomb it wealds. (Source: Bulbapedia)

So much references to Spanish culture and history packed into one little Iberian lynx Pokémon that just get stripped away if you alter it to be a quadruped. Why? Because it flat out makes zero sense for it to be a magician if it it's a quadruped. How's it supposed to perform magic tricks and sleight of hand tricks if it's got no hands????!

So what, you remove the magician theme and keep it just Mascarade themed. Well there goes it's signature move Flower Trick because it's based on sleight of hand. There goes the reason for it being a Dark Type too if it can't be a tricky magician. Four legs, no hands, no magic tricks. Congrats, you just got rid of some of Meowscarada's personality and now it's more of a boring Starter as a result.

Limited Run Games announces over 20 new physical releases at LRG3 2023

Limited Run Games announced over 20 new titles that will receive physical releases as part of its LRG 2023 showcase, including Castlevania Advance Collection, Gargoyles Remastered, and Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection.

Notably, this year’s showcase includes a special collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles music soundtracks. Starting this summer, Limited Run Games will begin publishing a series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game soundtracks. New releases will launch every month from July 2023 through March 2024. Each collection will include a classic Turtles soundtrack on CD, cassette tape, and vinyl. In addition, special green vinyl pressings will be available in limited quantities alongside the standard offerings.

Limited Run also revealed that their Carbon Engine development is ramping up, with announcements that include Clock Tower, Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection, Gex Trilogy, Tomba!, and more! These titles join Trip World DX, River City Girls Zero, and the original Shantae in our catalog of revitalized retro releases.

A series of all-new, LRG-funded and published titles are also on the way. In addition to handling their physical releases, Limited Run will handle the digital publishing of the quirky RPG Another Crusade, the PS1-era inspired platformer DoubleShake, the notorious Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties, and Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore—a platformer inspired by and featuring talent from the infamous Zelda CD-i games of the 90s.

Finally, Limited Run Games is excited to share that we are continuing our partnerships with KONAMI, WayForward, LucasFilm Games, and other amazing developers and publishers. Our lineup this year showcases some of the top talent in the industry, and we are proud to be working with them.

28/02/2024-Phone photos in Winchester today of loads of lovely crocuses, two of a few hyacinths seen nicely at Winchester Cathedral and Abbey Gardens, green alkanet and seas of beautiful daffodils and camera photos from recent weeks of Scarlet Tiger moth caterpillar and Oystercatcher and Lapwings at WWT Slimbridge, Greylag Goose at Lakeside and Peregrine at Winchester Cathedral.

It was great to see both Peregrines at St. Thomas Church today with a notable Stock Dove at Winchester Cathedral. Wren heard at North Walls Recreation Ground, Blackbird and Grey Squirrel seen at Abbey Gardens, Canada Geese and Moorhen at North Walls Recreation Ground, Magpie, lesser celandine and snowdrops were other highlights today.
