Finds you really fluffy and snuggly. If you aren't a touchy person please beware of him because he will want to cuddle. He loves to give scritches behind your ears just to see if you'll purr or make any other pleased noises. If you do, he is gonna be all soft to the point I doubt he'll want to let you go for a moment.

Want your fur to be brushed? Bro is all about it. He might even put on a little Soul music while he brushes you. He tries to make it as calming as possible.

If you idk lick his cheek or somewhere on his face (cuz you're a cat-) I think he would find your weird sandpaper tongue so interesting. Might giggle a bit from the feeling.

✦Lathering Nose✦

He is definitely an asshole. He'll do everything and anything to make you jump or get startled. But as soon as you are, he hugs you and gives a few pecks wherever on your face saying you're safe in his arms. Basically, he's doing the "I'm the cause of it and then acting like I'm saving you from it."

Something tells me he would love stuffing you into like a sack with your head poking out and cuddling with you while you're trapped in the sack. He is all about those nuzzles- he loves nuzzles.

He would 100% buy you weird hats for you to try on- because people do that with their cats. It could be an apple, a turtle, to Donald Trump's hair. He just loves funky hats to give you.

✦Dough Slapping Giraffe✦

He is going to ban you from eating any foods harmful to cats because he's a paranoid fucker. Don't think he won't know, because he'll have cameras, trackers, hell he might even straight up destroy that food forever.

We know he isn't too big on physical affection, but I think he'd like you chilling on his lap while he works. I like to think his lab is a bit chilly considering all the metal and other things, so he likes that you're warm.

I'm sorry but he loves being a menace and playing with you with a laser. Definitely not his lab, but maybe the living room or just a more open space will he whip it out and laugh every time you instinctually want to chase it.

He records any cat-like noise you make it. You cannot convince me otherwise. He'll likes to listen to it if he ever has issues with sleeping or idk whatever negative situation.

✦Morphine Sucker✦

Cuddles, snuggles, pets, scritches; he will be all over you if you're any type of fuzzy animal. If he ever feels bad or just feels lonely he shoves his face into your fur, most often your neck. He has a bad habit of playing with your tail. Not in a malicious way, but he wants to pet it or watch it move around.

If he ever cooks for you, he likes to shape any solids or sauce in the shape of a cat head. He also tends to put in ingredients that are more well-fit for a cat.

He loves the sound of your purrs, he'll just cling to you and listen to it every time it happens. Also, every time you purr, he thinks he's doing a good job at whatever and that his divinity is blessing him. So you're quite literally deluding him more.

What if they are like a ghost or some type of yokai, like imagine them explaining how they die and the whole nrc is 😶 it depends on you how they die— (gosh I'm so bad at this 😦) can I get a reaction how the dorm leaders react to the mc being a ghost or a yokai—? I like to think most of them r gonna said 'oh no :( you died at such a young age' and the mc is like 🧍‍♀️ (I hope you can understand this 😢💀 I'm so bad at this as this is my first time ) oh and take your time! Going with Yokai since twist has ghosts so I wanna shake it up. Going with a kitsune because little kid with fox tail and ears would just melt so many hearts.

Content warning angst that gives way to comfort, reader has died in the past, reader was murdered in a botched mugging

You had no issues with the fact you had died before. After all you had gotten a second chance as a kitsune. A second chance you always made the best of. So when you awoke in NRC you were so upset with your small form. All your tails but one where gone!

Night Raven Collage had been much much more lively since your arrival, you made friends and family. But as much fun as you were having the anniversary of you death, and subsequent rebirth was on you. This day was always bitter sweet, yes you had a new life and powers and cute ears and tails, but you had to give up your loved ones.

It's a dorm leader meeting where the reason for your down trotten mood comes out. Kalim had asked, and while they all knew your were a yokai they didn't know you weren't born one. The room goes silent frozen in dread as you answered the ball of sunshine, "Oh I'm just sad because this is the day I died."

The room swiftly devolves into chaos. Idia from his tablet is actually the one to manage to ask, "What do you mean by died?"

"Oh I wasn't always a yokai, I... I was headed home one night," it was so obvious talking about it hurt but they doubted you'd told *anyone* before now. "It was late and I tried taking a short cut," the room is more silent then you thought could be possible. "A man grabbed me, demanded everything I had if I wanted to live. I didn't have much, an old phone and some IDs. I guess he couldn't control his temper when he realized nothing I had was of value. I.." Tears are starting to roll down your face. "I still remember the burning from the knife as he kept stabbing me. I-... A kitsune saw it all and felt pitty for me, gave my soul one of his tails and told me to find a new life. I-" you held your tail close and began sobbing. It really was the first time you'd spoken about it.

The silence aside from you sobs now spoke levels of rage, sadness, and disbelief. Riddle broke the silence, "Who mugs *a child*?" And the room treatens to erupt into chaos once more. But those pathetic sobs of yours stops them all.

Kamil is crying with you and he pulls you into a hug allowing you to cling to him. It was surreal seeing the two biggest sunshines on campus so sad.

Riddle, Malleus, and Leona are all moments away from storming out to find your killer. Vil and Azul felt their hearts break.

Soon all of them are taking turns hugging you. Making various promises to give you a happy second life. Though inside they all feel guilt at their overbolts and that you a child who had been murdered had to be the one to fix it. They acted like their problems were so bad but you had been killed. When one of the Dormleaders mention that later on you comfort them saying how suffering *isn't* a competition. They were supposed to comfort you yet here you were comforting them once again.

Definitely Yukio from Soul of Yokai and Riku from Shinigami Soul Agency!

Yukio is just so tender, loving and caring! He cares for the MC so much that it makes my heart melt! And honestly, I can excuse the whole fanclub thing since he was only doing it to please his family. And even if he is a family pleaser, he still sticks up for the MC because she matters THAT much to him. I would kill to have a BF like him.

Riku is funny, still caring and cares for the MC. Got a good sense of humour and I honestly agree with his whole "live your life while you have it" mentality. His comfort scenes are honestly very nice and he makes a great addition to the game.

Now, the other boy I love very much but has issues is Shirogitsune from Kamisama: Spirits of the Shrine. He's a smoker, alcoholic, got emotional baggage but his humour and sweet side wins me over. He's not perfect but I love him.

If given the chance to make a game based on yo-kai watch, what would you do for plot stuff, gameplay, characters ect?

If I were to make a YKW game, it would pick up where 3 left off bc I know nothing about 4 lol. So uhhhh this one's kinda Yo-kai Watch 3.5

-First of all, I'd want to combine all the areas available in 2 and 3. Old Springdale, Gera Gera Land, the Infinite Inferno/Divine Paradise, and the Infinite Tunnel all come back, as well as New Yo-kai City and BBQ bc I'd want my boy Buck to make an appearance <3

-ALSO KATIE IS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER

-I can't decide whether I want 3's battle system or the original wheel, I like both but the wheel has a bit more points for nostalgia

-For characters, Hailey and Buck both come back because them and the MC form the best trio ever. Also Buck can have his own yo-kai friend. As a treat. Idk who though. It'd probably be a 'Merican yo-kai.

-Idk how I'd make the "switching back and forth between BBQ and Springdale" thing work story-wise, but who needs coherence when you have the funny southern american boy haha am I right !!

-Also I'd want to add more classic yo-kai based on other japanese folkloric creatures!! I want a yo-kai based on the Nobiagari SOOOO badly. or the Amabie. or the Ao Andon. Or the Karyobinga!! I could literally go on and on forever. maybe I'll make some fake yo-kai art idk

-Plus some 'Merican yo-kai based on some American mythology too. Bigfoot, mothman, etc. maybe Noko can have a 'Merican counterpart based on the hoop snake and that'll be ykw3.5's token unobtainable streetpass Noko

-As for plot, if I've made anything clear, I want Lucas to be involved. I want him to be involved soooooo badly. And he has to be at the FOREFRONT of this damn plot, none of that showing up at the last second shit. Maybe the MC trio have to protect him from a Big Bad trying to kill him, ORRRRR maybe HE'S the one that turns evil and its up to the MCs to stop him for committing evil little boy crimes. Is it too obvious that I want evil lucas? I want evil lucas btw.

-Also I think it was mentioned in ykw1 that Venoct was kinda put in charge of "protecting" Lucas/acting as some sort of guardian for him, and then in 3, during part 1 of that enma note quest where Lucas got thanos snapped, Venoct says he feels like he's "missing something important." expand on this. I am begging. expand more on venoct's whole bodyguard arc

-theyre probably not gonna do anything plot-wise but I just want the wicked yokai to be there. for funsies lol. I just like them theyre so scrurngkly

-BRING BACK FORGOTTEN YKW 1 BOSSES. WHERE IS TARANTUTOR. WHERE IS PHANTASMURAI

-I'd make Lina and Zoe's Ghost Club plot relevant bc out of all of Nate/Katie's classmates, those two and their weird little freak club is the most interesting, also the fact that Lina BEFRIENDED A BOSS YO-KAI?? Insane. love that for her. theyre interesting I like them a lot

-also maddiman is befriendable now

-I'd make another yo-kai watch CEO guy and his name would be Sealon Musk (seal) and he'd invent the new watch for ykw 3.5. It's called the SpaceWatch and it sounds cool and interesting but all it does is explode. Also it costs 8.2 million dollars and whisper had to sell all of your medals and also jibanyan's soul on the black market in order to get one, and that's how the medallium gets reset this game

if I get anymore ideas or like an actual coherent plot ill probably add on later, but I think thats it for now lol

Hannya is a yōkai of the Oni family; a family of demons that look like ogres and which are honored at Setsubun, a well-known festival in Tokyo. Hannya embodies jealousy and anger, found in crimes of passion - emotions that are entirely human.

A long time ago, Hannya used to be an ordinary woman. She had beautiful eyes and a velvet skin tone. In addition, her name signifies wisdom in Sanskrit, a symbol of a pure soul. Deeply wounded by the man she loved, she seized an unparalleled rage. Slowly eroded by jealousy and on the edge of madness, she loses her spirit in the darkness and transforms into a demon

TW : IMPLIED GORE

Ai in this au is more ten times crueler, more cold heart and emotionless barely had mercy towards her victims/dealers. Shes either known as a mysterious figure and appears with a skull oni 'mask' that stuck on her face that roaming around the NRC. Many students will ask her for to granting their wishes she will grant their wishes in the return either these two trade with her :

1. Bring her a purely fresh blood of a beautiful woman.

2. Bring her a red spider lily flowers or roses.

Most of them always brings her bonquet of roses. They tent to forgot their payment towards her if it more then 30 days they didnt pay her, she will either punish them either rip off their legs or arms. Most time, they will find her guarding around the Ramshackle dorm or the near NRC lake in the forest singing a lullaby. She will not be around NRC sometimes because her victims are mostly consider outsiders.

TRIVIA :

This is actually her kimono design (this is quite a reference lol)

If she smells like a really strong scent of perfume, its a sign shes in bad mood and can cause a accident headche or poison killing thru the scent.

Shes on a Hannya Chunari level : this second type masters a more powerful black magic than the first one. Her face looks similar to that of a demon with longer horns and sharp teeth. At this stage, it is still possible to rescue her with the help of Buddhist prayers.

Ai roaming around the NRC (especially the ramshackle dorm) because she missed her human lives before she turn into a hannya and her nostalogic memorises.

Rumors said that she had a child keep in the forest from one of her victim.

HOW SHE MET MC

It was midnight and MC was about to go to sleep after all the works they had done. Until while going upstairs towards their bedroom, they sensed someone is watching them they look towards the window saw a unknown figure with a black but then disappeared with then a sec. 'What was that...' 'I sworn I just something' but soon they quickly brush it off thinking it was just their imagination as they continue going upstairs. Pulling the blanket over their body and slowly closing their eyes and drift away with their sleep the night continue as 'normal' until the sound of the door crack open causing them to woke up from their sleep the figure then standing outside of the dorm with an umbrella the singing of the lullaby makes them falls into a trap luring them by bringing them to the forest. Before she could touch them, Kei manage to came to save MC on time teleport them back to Ramshackle

"My, my, my. Looks like the little 'bodyguard' has save the day"

Her sarcastic words as she gritted her teeth while 'glaring' at Kei. Kei draws his fans towards her "Dont you dare lay your filthy hand on them you disgrace demon."

"Oh really..." she said as she slowly draw out their weapon to attack her but a sudden cries came from deeper inside the forest turn her head gaze from him. In a sec, her figure was already disappear.

Reader’s Corner: Solo Leveling, Uncle from Another World, and My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong As I Expected (Final)

This week we continue with the newest volumes of favorites like Solo Leveling, which is receiving an anime adaptation, and Uncle from Another World (which has one currently airing), and review the initial offerings from a couple of fantasy series as well, including one in which the MC becomes a dragon…skeleton. Who says light novels have run out of ideas?

The Skull Dragon’s Precious Daughter, Manga Vol. 1

In the final few years of a dragon’s long life, he ends up taking care of an abandoned girl, Eve. Under his care, Eve reaches age 10 before her dragon caretaker finally closes his eyes for good—except that isn’t quite the end of his life, as Eve succeeds in returning his soul into a small dragon skeleton she made! Thus, the dragon accompanies Eve as she heads out of the forest she has lived in, to teach her how to live amidst society before his new body runs out of the magic power needed to contain his soul. This is an adorable and fun fantasy adventure manga, as Eve is both physically and magically gifted, yet also naive about the ways of the world and reckless in her approach to problems. The dragon, who Eve named Snoozy, serves as the straight man to her antics, and a few other supporting cast members appear to add to the fun. The volume ends with a nice heartfelt story arc and rounds out a very enjoyable read, and I definitely will be reading future volumes to see what antics Eve and her undead guardian get up to next. ~ stardf29

Minami Nanami Wants to Shine, Manga Vol. 2

Minami Nanami, a happy-go-lucky girl who is silently suffering from insecurities, is my favorite character from Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki, a light novel series I’ve been addicted to. But the first volume of her spin-off manga disappointed me, both by what seemed to be a very superficial theme and by rewinding Minami’s terrific character development from the original work back to almost zero. If volume two is any indication, however, my worries were unfounded. A major part of the improvement in these chapters is that Minami indeed is feeling pressure to become someone different. As she becomes more resolute in her decision to become a model, she has to navigate both superficial challenges, like improving her Instagram account, and deeper ones, such as determining whether she wants to be more like Aoi. While she wants to change, does she really want to become the kind of person who can be a successful model? The story leaves it unclear whether such changes are good, bad, or dependent on each person, but I’m okay with that ambiguity for now, as the series is demonstrating more depth and subtlety than I suspected from the first volume. I’m also glad to see several characters from the main series play a bigger role here than in volume one: in particular, Minami’s relationship with Tomozaki begins to blossom (and receives a specific nickname affecting the relationship development in the light novel). There’s no sign of romance yet. I’m eager to see how the manga tackles this friendship and which path it ultimately takes, as well as how Minami deals with her newfound desire to model and the worries that this choice is already giving rise to. What will she have to do, and who will she become? What does it mean for Minami to shine? Here’s hoping that future volumes continue to be as satisfactory as this one and show us a story and theme as bright as its protagonist. ~ Twwk

Chronicles of the Hidden World: How I Became a Doctor for the Gods, Light Novel Vol. 1

Yae reincarnates in a setting that resembles Edo period Japan, except with yokai, beastfolk, and random giant-sized objects from our world. Most reincarnated people in the setting lose most of their memories of their past life, but Yae retains hers. She serves as a sort of shaman or priestess, performing rituals to pacify hostile spirits, until one day she gets shipped off (along with several other women) to be married to men in a neighboring settlement. But when monsters attack, the men leave her as bait to distract the yokai while they flee with the other women. A handsome tiger-man named Arai rescues her, then immediately tries to kill her, then instead demands that she heal his tiger-man brother Sui. Talk about indecisive. With the supernatural manifesting through curses, food, transformations, swords, boundaries, and sacred spaces, this story has strong fairy tale vibes, and its world feels full of magic and mystery. I have no particular complaints about the book, so whether you read it will come down to whether this type of story interests you. I’ll plan to read at least one more volume. ~ Jeskai

Uncle from Another World, Manga Vol. 5

After the tsundere elf comes to Uncle’s aid when he’s stuck in the form of a dragon, the two visit a hot spring, slowing down the isekai narrative and showing some unexpected progress in their relationship—though whether Uncle notices is a different question! Volume five of Uncle from Another World indeed seems to move the plot along surprisingly well for a series that’s more about laughs than story, both with Uncle’s potential relationships (friendly and amorous alike) and with Fujimiya and Takafumi. Of course, the story is still mainly about the humor, and the jokes continue to be just as uproarious as in previous volumes. But the hint that Uncle and elf may actually end up together at some point? This storyline has grown to become important to me. It’s a testament to how a series that has A+ comedy can also be imbued with plenty of heart. ~ Twwk

Solo Leveling, Light Novel Vol. 5

“Who am I?” For all the fun and excitement of reading about Jinwoo’s journey to becoming a near-invincible hunter, Solo Leveling has never answered this primary question. But volume five finally begins to unravel the mystery of why it’s Jinwoo who reawakened as apparently the most powerful being in this universe (and across others) by being returned to the double dungeon that started this entire adventure. While I can’t say that the answers given are particularly unique or earth-shattering, they do fit perfectly well with the story while continuing to develop the tale of Jinwoo’s unstoppable growth, which is what’s most addictive about Solo Leveling in the first place. More importantly for me, however, is that the revelations actually return some humanity to Jinwoo. Over the course of these novels, I’ve struggled with two key points—the first being that Jinwoo is fairly merciless, making it hard to root for him beyond cheering his physical feats, much like appreciating a football player’s skill on the gridiron even if he’s a terrible human being. I wondered if Solo Leveling would address this defect; and while it doesn’t work an explanation into the storyline, volume five has Jinwoo appearing as a much better human being than in previous issues. The second challenging area is in how much Korean nationalism oozes through in the writing, vilifying Japan and torturing Japanese characters. However, this volume walks back that concern somewhat as well. So although this volume doesn’t get the adrenaline flowing quite the same as the others, it rewards readers with a slightly kinder tale, which has been the only thing I’ve missed in Solo Leveling. ~ Twwk

My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong As I Expected, Light Novel Vol. 14

I’ve long been critical of the final volumes of My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected (Oregairu) and its anime adaptation, which I have blogged about episodically. The series loses its humor, meanders, and leans too heavily on melodrama in volumes 12 through 14. But reading the official release of volume 14 for the first time gave me an opportunity to reconsider, and now—several years after the light novel came out in Japan (and some time after the anime ending as well)—I’ve separated some of the disappointment I felt from earlier readings of my favorite series and am able to give the conclusion more of a fair shake. My verdict? Yes, it’s still far too melodramatic for a series about three kids who are basically just learning what it means to grow up, but I’d forgotten that it’s still quite an engaging read. It’s heartwarming to see Hikki finally approaching that something genuine he’s been striving for. And there remain bits of humor here and there that remind me of earlier, better volumes. Still, the issues with the prom arc are clear: it’s overblown and entangled (two proms?!), with Watari writing himself into a corner (apparently at the publisher’s behest) instead of completing the series more quickly and effectively. It’s an overly dull, not-warm-enough ending for such a beloved series and for the mountainous heights Yukinon and Hikki have reached in their character and relationship growth. Their development here should mean more. A meh conclusion, but a fine, fine series regardless. ~ Twwk

Shortcake Cake, Manga Vol. 4

I’m pretty sure I was riding on a book high at the end of the previous volume because is that the #TeamRiku ship sailing?! While I might have celebrated a little too early to say the ship is officially sailing, I deeply enjoyed seeing Ten explore her feelings in this volume when that kiss Riku gave her left her in a panic. However, while she works through her feelings, Chiaki has also been working through his own about Ten, and his emotions only grow stronger throughout this volume. While I’m not necessarily rooting for Chiaki when it comes to the romance, I really enjoyed getting to know more about him and how he thinks. The way he internally describes and compares himself to stories he’s read and bookish quotes he knows made it fun and provided insight into his own struggles. He wants to be a great friend to Riku, but he also wants to explore his feelings and pursue Ten, which leads to all three of them going to the beach together for a day! I often found myself like Ten: I would look forward to what would happen next, but also feel a little disappointed because I wanted more of those wholesome interactions between Ten and Riku we had previously. That ending, though, had me beyond excited because Ten has a powerful revelation about her own feelings. I cannot wait to see how things will unfold in the next volume! ~ Laura A. Grace

Summary

A shadow of a once prospering society. After some gruesome encounters and a lot of turn-arounds, Sayaka and Yamada finally make it to Kyoto, which is located down south–their landmark, and where they had assumed they could live through the winter without human’s technology. Unsurprisingly, both in Kyoto and Nara, everything was empty, not even the celebrated deers in Nara–which Sayaka seemed really interested in–where to be found. However, in a ryokan, they find an actual person living there, still using the services of electricity no less. They are surprised to find out about this of course, but they also find hope in this vivid reality. (106)

Critical Analysis

"'She said her husband and children all succumbed to the virus. She must've felt incredibly lonely. Based on how she spoke last night, I think she took a lot of pride in her work. It must've hurt a lot when the pandemic caused all her guests to cancel their bookings. I wonder . . . maybe . . . she wanted to stay alive a little longer to operate the ryokan for one last guest. Maybe it was her pride that kept her going.'" This particular quote describes the death of the old lady they had found still running the ryokan even when the world had ended. The reason why this was the most important was because this old lady taught something very special to the protagonists, which also had an impact on them. It is also out of admiration for the iron-will and the perseverance of her character. (143)

Personal Response

This one was a hard one. While I normally never mention it in quotes, there are some scenes that aren’t exactly pleasant to read about. Of course, it gives realism to the story to describe how society reacted when they saw the end of the world was near. Needless to say, while some are just “normal,” some are a bit wild. The MCs also came across with another survivor, this one didn’t tried to kill them however, but rather, used this opportunity to have her final wish accomplished–to serve one last guess in the ryokan she had poured her life in–though at first she came as a “Yokai,” who would devour the souls of the MCs by both influences of young believes and her weird professionalism even after the world had ended. It feels as if death accompanies the MCs to wherever they go though, and it really feels like this story won’t have a happy ending. (156)

please, ask questions if you have any! it doesn't take very long to make playlists like this since my brain kinda catalogues immediate potential matches for the tone i'm trying to set, but believe me when i tell you that i did try to include as many vital pieces as i could in accordance to dola's lore. ^^

and speaking of dola, i'll go ahead and tell you what i think of when i look at your art! i recall that when i first saw art of dolasach a few months ago, the only thing i could genuinely think of was how cat-like she appeared to be /pos

there's a certain way her facial features are angled that makes it appear very small and rounded, like a cat's face. the more art i saw of her the more it validated my thoughts on her because the way you draw her makes her seem so agile? a small frame, but the resonant anger in her voice trickles onto her lips and she spits out venom from a place she didn't know she could reach, much like a small animal lashing out in an attempt to protect itself. that's the impression i get from her, at least.

and speaking of that, it reminds me of a passage i wrote for my mc's mother. maybe it'll strike a chord within you, too, since you could apply it to dola methinks

“[blank]'s mother was a serpent trapped in its own snakeskin. it could be big, it may be beautiful, you might even come to love it, and its fangs may hold the most potent of venoms—but it was nothing unless it would shed. there she was, still writhing and wriggling to be free from her own body all these years later.”

going back on course for your art! it's almost like i can taste damnation on my tongue like a thick coin made of iron; there's a haunting presence about it, like violet eyes rimmed in black and gold that stare at you from out of the mirror that are no longer yours, or the scratch of a record player fighting through the dust and cobwebs to live. i believe that you also express this through your writing as well.

as for the new event ... i think it's enjoyable for the most part, albeit satan slightly disappointing me unfortunately. it's less of how it's written and more of me eagerly trying to look in-between the lines for what everyone's yokai outfits mean to them, particularly solomon's and barbatos'.

i'd say go for it, especially for the cute sol & mc moments. there was a scene early on where they went back and forth telling each other how stunning the other looked and asmodeus didn't even care lmfao he just wanted to take a picture with both of them

I'm also so curious... What was the piece of Dola art you saw? Admittedly the resemblance to a cat is on purpose... I wasn't exaggerating when I said I tailor made her for Satan sdhfjf though back then I didn't loathe how much he's become just catboy because it wasn't quite as bad >.>;; Things also just ended up working out into her being even more catlike as I kept developing and workshopping Dola. But I still think of an observant cat eyeing the people around it from its perch up high when I write Dola sometimes. With some mix of judgement and curiosity in her eyes lmao

Jaw dropping at how you described her??? I really do think she becomes almost like someone else entirely when she's angry and lashing out, and if she doesn't have an obvious target, the anger turns inwards and burns her senses to nothing, the impulse to hurt something in some way overtaking most of her logic. And if you've brought her to that point, you won't be spared, and depending on what you've done you probably won't even get the chance to explain yourself. I think I like... sort of explored that in that one horror-ish fic I wrote from the POV of the demon Dola killed with Lucifer's help? But not really since it's all from the POV of her victim <.<;; >.>;;

hdfjkdhg that passage about your MC's mother... I think it really does apply to Dola because while I think her self-loathing drives her to constant growth, it also means she's rarely ever truly happy? it gets better over time (in love, several hundred years' time) but yeah... In the end her own greatest enemy is always going to be herself because it's so hard for her to think that her perceived inadequacies aren't objective fact that she has to change.

hfghdfg also I get what you mean... Like, hatred for catboy!Satan aside, I feel like this event's outfits kind of nail more of why it's so boring to always stick him with the cat costume and cat gag? With the rest it seems like there's an interesting deeper symbolic meaning of their yokai costumes (I know Mammon and Levi's costumes seem like obvious choices because Mammon's familiars are crows and we associate Levi with water but it's not nearly as hammered in as Satan's cat bullshit; Mammon was a tiger in his Paws&Claws outfit and Levi was a giraffe ffs we have literal catboy Satan twice now and whenever there's space for a cat motif for him it's there :/ his Yukata and Onesie outfits are all cats too like come on)

I'm currently halfway through the story key route and tbh I've like... pretty disappointed with how they've done this? You'd think there'd at least be more fluff to it before we get to the story key route because its HDD.5 but some of the chapters legit feel like 10 lines of dialogue before it ends and I'm like??? That's all I get after 2 dance battles?

I like the little bits of food I can get with Sol/Dola/Tan at least, but like... That's kind of it. Aside from a possible horror rewrite of the story key route in page 3 >w<
