So that was fun yesterday in starting this blog. I seriously do hope that as time goes by that others will start doing the same. :) I do want to add that in my posts I will be adding some fandom history now and then. Today is one of those days. I may have been a bit self-indulgent. *blushes*

What I'm Reading:

I'm trying to savor the Ginny sorted into Slytherin story I mentioned yesterday. In my first read of it, I raced through it and know that I probably missed enjoying it in it's complete form. I'm on a few Discords and one of them being Harry Potter Fanfiction Club. They have a vote every month to choose what fics the members can read together and discuss. This month they chose for Drarry aideomai's Dwelling. I'd read this masterpiece before but decided to look for a shorter fic by this amazing author. I chose Nice Things. OMG all 22K of this fic is such a treat. If you ever need a warm, dreamylike fic, choose this one. It's an 8th year fic where only 7 of the classmates come back. Ron, Harry, and Hermione are in the mix. Draco is there along with Theo. They are assigned to live in a cottage on the grounds of Hogwarts. The progression of Harry and Draco's relationship is lovely. Read it now or Bookmark it for later when the need for this type of fic hits...as we all know there are times it's needed.

I only have one today and that's just because I have a bit to say about it as it holds a special place in my fandom heart.

HD Fan Fair (Career Fair) is open for prompts! They have openings for 250 prompts and so far have 153. Prompt closing is on June 30th. Claiming begins on July 1st.

First of all, I think we need to give a huge shout-out to Fan Fair mod @phoenixacid. This will be her 10th year of modding this fest. I do believe she worked on it even earlier. Anyone who's modded a fest before knows the dedication it takes to see it through. Her co-mod, @sassy-cissa has been involved since 2018.

Here's a little history about this Fest

This fest has been going on annually since 2009, with the exception of 2011. It was conceived by @marguerite26 and myself, with @vaysh11 and Jamie2109 soon joining in. I was unable to mod for personal reasons that first year and only partially the second...after that I pretty much left fandom. Back then, you really couldn't just start a fest when other established fests were already on the calendar. It was considered impolite and it would be posted on LJ about what an arse you were. LOL When hd_inspired closed shop, we jumped in and took their spot in Autumn. Fan Fair started with Career Fair and then moved on to Travel Fair. Since then, they've had Book (books mentioned in HP), Sex, Food, and Pottermore Fairs with repeats for Career, Travel and Food. Both Inspired and then Fan Fair were novel in being a prompt fest as opposed to an exchange fest like @hd-erised (back then it was hd_holidays). We felt it gave greater control to the authors to write to a prompt they liked as opposed to be assigned one, which from personal experience can cause angst and meltdowns. That is why it was called a Fair as opposed to a fest. A fest usually meant an Exchange Fest.

When I came back to fandom, I about cried seeing that @Phoenixacid had not only kept Fan Fair alive but it was thriving. I wrote for it that first year I came back in 2021, and I made a promise to read and comment on every fic and art piece posted for the Fairs. I only skipped one fic last year. It was brilliantly written but was beyond my comfort level for psychological horror. I don't listen to Podfics, I'm sorry to say. When I used to commute hours to and from work, I could but now I don't have the where-with-all to pay attention.

So go PROMPT!!!!! And give tons of love to the two mods!!!! Mods are the backbone of fandom.

Did you know the amazing @snowgall created and maintains a Drarry fanart archive at @snowingalway. She had noticed that fandom art of old was being lost and artists were leaving fandom. The pieces available for viewing are those that the artists have given her permission to archive. She personally contacted the artists to ask for such permission. I think when you visit the sight and view what she's saved, you too will be thrilled and indebted for what she's done for Drarry fandom. Please not she also posts and collect current works, too!

three year anniversary post

genuinely can't believe this blog has made it to three years. i didn't even think i would be able to keep this up for one let alone three.

this year has been hectic and unfortunately i wasn't able to make an event like i had initially wanted but instead i'd like to thank some people that i've met along on this three year journey :)

@nejiraez izzy my rock, my love, my wife. i genuinely cannot thank you enough for your friendship. the fact that we've been moots for almost three years is insaneee. you were one of the first blogs i followed on here and i couldn't believe it when i got a follow back but now look at us, sending tiktoks to each other and shit LMAO. ilysm and tysm for always hearing me out whether that it for my thousands of smau ideas or in general. again ily

i started this blog july 9 of 2018 without any expectations. i used to write on wattpad and after i got into bnha and falling in love with bakugou's character, i immediately wanted to write scenarios about him. never did i imagine that i would still be writing three years later. it feels surreal. it's even more surreal that i've got so much support. every single like, comment, reblog, and follow makes me overjoyed and i always see anytime anyone interacts with my blog. these interactions are what keeps my blog going most days.

here's to three more years hopefully lol so i hope you look forward to the content that i'll continue to make :)

❦ List fandoms of my heart: №3 (the last).

✯ Kuroshitsuji (Dark Butler)

This anime is my guide to the world of anime, my first of all, and the first that I liked. In addition, I have been watching it since I was 13 (omg, how old I am..).

I can say, from it I learned what anime is. It is one of my favorites and one of those that I can revisit (P.S .: And I'm still waiting for the new season or new full-length films, although no one said anything or promised anything about it).

The advantages of this anime are - interesting plots, 19th century setting mixed with the supernatural, soundtracks and a huge number of different characters for every taste. As I can tell, everyone will find their ideal 2D kun or chan here.

I could single out a lot of cool characters, but I'm afraid they could be spoilers too, so I'll just mention a few of my personal favorites.

Sebastian is a demon butler and another protagonist besides Ciel. A jack of all trades, a cool killer and one of the most real handsome men who stole many hearts from the female audience, who is in many similar tops and sometimes even has leading positions. I can say that he was my very first anime - love.

Prince Soma is an Indian prince. I don't know how many fans he has, but I think not as many as Sebastian and Ciel. Actually, Soma is the one who attracted me much more and my love for Sebastian did not last forever. This is because Soma, in addition to being beautiful and Indian (which was important to me as a lover of Bollywood films and music, and also interested in Indian culture), has a sweet and good personality. Three combos!

Madame Red is a bright woman with a difficult fate. I guess there isn't much more to say here (spoilers, spoilers, damn it).

Pluto is a devilish dog. Cutie, charming, with one cool ability and mine another anime-love (those who know this character and his unusual ability - yes - yes, I know it's weird to fall in love with characters like him).

As I said, the soundtracks are wonderful - some of the tunes have some classic notes in them, and also, the opening can be recognized from a thousand and it is easy to remember which anime it belongs to.

Also, there are elements of detective and crime, which also adds its own special shades and makes this anime even more interesting and aesthetically pleasing.

I look forward to continuing with it and begin to show interest in anime of a similar genre and setting in one (I found something similar, for example, as "House of Shadows").

✯ Dame x Prince

Another anime that became my find and I can watch it many times. I liked it so much that after I found it (in 2018 it was a spring novelty), I watched almost all the episodes in one gulp and only later realized that it ends too quickly, because I could not stop in time.

This anime contains everything that I love about the reverse - harems - beautiful drawing, bright colors, romance, elements of comedy and fantasy, attractive male characters and not a stupid main character who can be respected.

We can say that Ani is one of the few normal owners of a harem, but she can be considered a diamond among them. She is encouraged by her courage and the fact that she is not embarrassed when guys compliment her or try to flirt (I could say more about her, but these will be spoilers).

Despite the fact that here the male characters are clichéd, for example - a kind cutie, handsome womanizer, narcissistic rude and so on, they look cool and interesting to watch, it's a pity that we will never know which of them Ani chose in the end.

In addition, there is one more plus in the form of a good plot, after which it helps some characters to reveal themselves.

Even if many people do not always take girly harem animes well and consider them worthless and empty, just to please teenage girls with cute romance in a colorful wrapper, this anime genre also deserves a place to be. Who knows, maybe soon the reverse - harems will evolve even more, at least there are already some anime-worthy options. Everything has its fans..

In general, this is a good and positive anime that can bring more colors to life. And I still hope for season 2..

✯ Nanbaka

When you watch a video on the topic: "Guess the gender of anime characters", you will not think that in this way you will be able to discover a new anime. That's how I found out about Nanbaka, after which I watched the first season in a couple of days.

I associate this anime with the beginning of July 2018 and the dairy drinks Twix, Milky Way and Snickers, which at that time I was finally able to taste.

Nanbaka has several advantages - a cool variety of characters, an element of comedy, and an equally vibrant color scheme. Also, I noticed that all characters have their own special difference - they all have nails painted in a different color and have small fangs.

Despite the fact that there is no romance here and the plot is built around a prison theme, Nanbaka is quite interesting to watch, and in some episodes there are elements of drama and seriousness. However, if the first season is more comical situations, then the second season is a little more serious, at least there are more problems that the heroes solve.

Of the characters, there are not only bisonens and heroes with simple qualities including kindness, cuteness, foolishness, signs of a womanizer, hot temper and severity, but there are also unexpected specimens, such as several LGBTQ characters and even antagonists.

Unfortunately, Nanbaka is not a very popular fandom and most likely there will never be a third season... But this is another solid anime that can be endlessly watched and is one of those that drags on from the first episodes.

✯ Romance Club

This visual novel often came across to me in YouTube recommendations, in the form of walkthroughs and analysis of Easter eggs from it.

At first, I was not very interested in this, and from the video, my first impression was that this is just an incomprehensible game with characters similar to cardboard figures, but for some reason it became very popular and discussed on social networks.

After some time, I still began to watch the walkthroughs and more or less began to understand what the whole highlight of the game is, and after that, I began to play myself, though at the beginning, then, I had only a plan to while away the rest of summer time until autumn, but I didn’t notice how I began to be drawn into the RC and it became not just a game for one time, it became a habit that is difficult to get rid of.

Now, it's not just a bunch of pretty cardboard character figurines and a joke that RC is a mix of films like "50 Shades of Gray" and "Twilight", made for teenage girls.

Romance Club is - characters for every taste, from whites and Europeans, to Hispanics and Asians, both boys and girls. LGBTQ relationships have not been forgotten here either.

Various stories with any setting - vampires + werewolves, pirates, aliens, 19th-18th century, royal setting, movie stars and fame, Scandinavian mythology, ancient Greek mythology, sea and beach setting, detectives and crime, ancient Japan (geisha and samurai) , angels and demons, everyday life and much more, but the creators continue to delight us with new stories to this day, and I think we still have a lot to see.

Beautiful graphics and drawing of characters, cool design of clothes, and also, here you can learn how to beautifully compose texts and sentences (let's say this can be useful for the writing sphere), since some stories contain wonderful descriptions of some scenes and comparisons of concepts (example. "Stars as luminous points," and the like).

But besides romance, other important topics can be revealed here, such as the concept of friendship, a hard life due to many problems, courage and self-confidence, and sometimes even 18+ topics can be touched upon. In addition, some stories have instructive facts, for example, something about the history of Turkey during the Ottoman Empire.

Romance Club is scientifically enlightening!

Despite the fact that I refused to play games, since they take a lot of time, during which you can do a bunch of other useful things, RC is the only game (besides the Sims) on which I do not regret wasting my time and it is always interesting to watch new stories and how the old ones will end.

movies & shows

cracks knuckles* alright this is going to be more of a rant than an analysis because i’m basing this on both my research, but also how it felt to personally be baited by these shows. there are obviously more pieces of bad (almost every horror movie) and good ones but these are the ones i’ve watched.

please keep in mind that i am but one queer and everyone has different opinions.

Supernatural (CW) 2005

This show is 15 years old and just ended. From season 5 till 15, there has been tension between two of the lead characters. They were constantly shipped together and not only did the entire fandom know about this ship but so did almost all of Tumblr. On top of that, the actors and show runners knew about it as well. Which is why it makes it ridiculous that it was constantly pushed aside while the romantic coding kept happening, even after show runners dismissed it as being intentional. The Destiel (Dean x Cas) case has been going on for years, and as the show came to its end, many fans had hope. But N O P E. Instead, we got a love confession from Cas where Dean looked like he was near constipated and the Cas was killed and sent into a fiery place that was not hell but s u p e r h e l l.

Sherlock (BBC) 2010

Just like Supernatural, this show was renown on Tumblr for not only how good it was, but its hinting at a potential relationship between Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. But again, like Supernatural, the intentional tension between the two characters was denied by producers. This caused an uproar within the fandom, and even left some people believing that, after the last season aired, it had been a joke and the producers were hiding a “secret, unaired season” because they had felt so robbed by this show that had implied something and denied it.

The 100 (CW) 2014

We got lesbians. We got background gays. We were happy. Then, all of a sudden, one of them is killed for no reason. Did it advance the plot? No. Was she fighting and died in battle? lol no. She was doing literally nothing and got shot and died. And then the producers kept bringing her back once a season in the form of a ghost or illusion because why? Because she was a fan favourite queer character. ✨bury your gays and sparingly bring them back for profit anyone?✨

Voltron: Legendary Defender (Netflix) 2016

*deep breathe* This one is a special disaster. Not only was there romantic tension and romantically coded scenes for 7 seasons, but producers, voice actors and artists working on the show repeatedly said “don’t worry klance (Keith x Lance) shippers, you’ll be happy”

. … w h e r e??? You code one of their scenes with a sunset in the background while they talk about love and then one of them goes on a date with someone who has declined his advances for 7 seasons but now in season 8 decides to do a full 180. Not only that, but you announce at a Comic Con (a convention) that a character is gay and has a fiancé, only to kill off the fiancé and never make it explicit in the show except at the last second of the last episode where he marries a no name character.

Personally, i’d like to say a big fuck you to the show that strung me along for 2 years and never stopped saying we’d be happy to then pull the rug out from under us and call us crazy for thinking anything from the past 8 seasons was intentional.

Scooby-Doo (2002)

While not being outwardly queerbaiting, this movie’s filmmaker has just revealed some shocking news, which wasn’t at all shocking to the gays who had watched this movie over the years. In July of 2020, James Gunn, the filmmaker of Scooby-Doo, revealed in a podcast that, initially, Velma was explicitly gay in his script, but then the studio watered it down until it became nothing. This isn’t an example of baiting as much as it is changing a character’s initial design to “better fit an audience”. The worst part of all this is that with Velma’s character having been written with a l i t t l e queer subtext, people had been theorizing about if since the movie came out, but were always yelled at by the internet for “imagining something that isn’t there”. But now, even with it being said that the initial point was for her to be gay, people have no objections to still refusing to accept it. Why?? So we can’t get the subtext gays OR the confirmed gays?? Make it make sense.

Brooklyn 99 (NBC) 2013

To have the queer characters firstly introduced without mentioning their sexualities and have it brought up naturally was so goddamn nice to see, because no one does a big deal about it unless they ask for that. This show is amazing in general but the way they show their queer characters is *chefs kiss*.

She-ra and the Princesses of Power (Netflix) 2018

This. Show. My heart SOARS. It's just a remake of an old show so absolutely nothing was ever expected, but then it was sprinkled in and ENDED WITH A BANG. And it was so beautiful and real to see the struggle of two friends who care for each other and want to be together but have different visions of the world fall in love. And they also had characters with disabilities, a non-binary character and jUST SUCH A GOOD SHOW.

Kipo and The Age of Wonderbeasts (Netflix) 2020

This is a case where you go into it not expecting anything and are BLOWN AWAY by the bare minimum. And not because it’s bad!! It's mind blowing because this is the simple representation we need!! Not something over the top, but an every day relationship. It’s just two boys falling in love and going on dates and being nervous around each other, yet i was so stunned. Because it’s not shown enough. I should not be this excited over something that should be this normal. 10/10 though this show is so good for all kinds of representation.

Steven Universe (Cartoon Network) 2013

This show did so much for queer representation with its general message of loving everyone and loving who you want. Especially since it was aired on Cartoon Network, a channel for kids, it was able to help normalize something so looked down upon in some circles. It made it easy to watch for s o m e people because it's a cartoon but it's so beautiful to see these ladies so in love with each other, both platonically and romantically and we see them have a family dynamic that isn’t a “nuclear family”. Rebecca Sugar (creator) really said “lemme just break all stereotypes real quick”.

Adventure Time (Cartoon Network) 2010

It's the “knowing a fanbase shipped something so hard that the creators made it canon” for me. This relationship had been theorized by fans for years, but it had never been explicit in the show. When the finale episode came out and the two shared a kiss, it was a moment of celebration. The producer of the show said that it had not really been planned but when the episode was being made, the choice of what happened was given to one of the artists (bless your soul Hanna K. Nyströmthe). And as the show releases little bonus episodes, its latest was centered around Marceline and Bubblegum and their relationship. AND WE LOVE TO SEE OUR DOMESTIC LESBIANS BEING HAPPY AND IN LOVE.

Yuri on Ice!!! (anime) 2016

The fact that an A N I M E gave us a love story between two men is mind boggling and it makes me so happy!! Especially because it's a Japanese show and they’re very conservative about these things just makes it more emotional. The creators said they wanted to make the anime take place in a world where gay/straight isn’t a thing, it’s just love (ladies, you’re going to make me cry). So as the weekly episodes came out and fans start speculating, THEY GAVE US THE LAST FEW EPISODES FULL OF ROMANCE AND EMOTIONAL SCENES BETWEEN THE TWO AND THEN THEY GET R I N GS?!???!! You watch for the figure skating, you stay for the figure skaters that are in love.

Shadowhunters (Freeform) 2016

*insert me being frustrated that the actors are straight so we can move on from that disappointment*

This show really said “let’s name a whole episode after this couple because they deserve it”. But seriously, they gave us two characters whose entire plot does not center around their sexualities while still showing us the differences in a relationship between someone experienced and someone new at this. They were both powerful and amazing characters apart from each other, with their own story lines and goals but they loved each other so much omgs. SO MUCH.

It was so great to watch.

Love, Simon (2018)

There’s a lot of disagreement on whether this movie is good representation or not. However, we need to take into consideration that this was Hollywood’s first movie with a main character that was gay, where the story’s focus was on Simon’s love story. The biggest problem, for me at least, was that the actor playing Simon is a straight man and not queer. My problem is not with him, but the fact that there are other actors that are gay and that could have played Simon just as well. (the love interested was however played by a queer actor so ✨progress✨)

All in all, this movie does represent what a lot of queer kids have to go through: being outed at school, how they then come out, the bullying and doubt they go through.

The book is also really good.

Call Me By Your Name (2018)

This movie is so aesthetically pleasing and was able to capture the confusion and heartbreak felt by a boy who’s struggling with his own feelings towards a man. His inner conflict and joy and l o v e he feels but doesn’t know how to deal with is so well communicated through the screen and just breaks your heart because it feels so real.

But again, they could’ve gotten gay actors to play gay characters…

through having this list here, i want to show you that it’s not hard for creators to give good queer representation. the LGBTQ+ community isn’t asking for much, we just want to be well represented on screen as just a regular character, not some token queer kid there for the diversity points. having been exposed to so much queerbaiting and just not seeing any representation on screen, i always get over-excited when i see a queer character, and that’s not how it should be. it should be a normal thing, something you can find in most pieces of media, just like there’s a straight white cisgender person in everything.

and they seriously need to start casting queer actors for queer characters...

Bnha is a little too irregular for me right now (covid is the worst :( ), so I started reading One Piece and it's like, soooo long. Got me thinking, how long do you think Bnha will be? Personally I think we're just before time skip and it will take, like 300-400 chapters to end? So manga would be 600-700 chapters long. I could be wrong of course. Thoughts?

One Piece is fucking awesome, and the beauty of it is that is is 12 million chapters long so it will take approximately 182 years to finish reading, and you are almost guaranteed to be entertained for the vast majority of that time lol. I actually took a break from it a little ways into the Wano arc (sometime in the middle of what would later become volume 92) because it was getting harder for me to keep up with the plot week by week, especially since I was really into BnHA fandom by that time. my plan was to binge it once Wano ends. however when I was looking at the list of chapters on Wikipedia just now I saw that Oda is only 11 chapters away from breaking the 1k mark, which is pretty awesome. so I might try to catch up in the next month or two in celebration of that milestone, because damn.

with BnHA though, my own guess for how long the series will be is actually a lot shorter than most estimates I’ve seen. first of all, full disclosure that I am definitely biased regarding the timeskip part, because I personally am not the biggest fan of BnHA timeskip theories, unless they’re really short timeskips like the 3-month one we got recently. the thing is, this is explicitly a manga about their time at UA. it’s in the title and everything lol. and I like that. I like reading about them as kids, little hero eggs gradually growing into little hero chicks who will eventually become big hero birbs, but not just yet. a lot of the story’s appeal for me comes from that. there’s a certain... I don’t necessarily want to say innocence, but idealism, maybe?, that’s associated with stories about young adults, and doesn’t always carry over into the stories about those same adults once they’ve grown up. and I want the story to keep that.

there are a lot of things about the current setting that I’m very attached to and don’t want to lose. I like that they’re kids, and that they’re full of potential but don’t always know what they’re doing, and they screw up and make mistakes and get in over their heads, and are dealing with all of their messy jumbled teenage emotions. I like that they’re living with each other in the fanfic dorms and seeing each other every day in their classes. I like that romance isn’t a big part of the series (though there’s still plenty of shipping fuel to go around). I like that we get to see them interacting with their parents and siblings and get to see those relationships. and most of all, I like that -- unlike almost every other young adult series I can think of -- BnHA acknowledges that they are just kids, and the adults by and large actually treat them as such. and yes, I’m even including the child soldiers arc here, because the decision to basically draft them into a war was handed down by the HPSC (an organization that likely has a history with child abuse from what we’ve seen). U.A. was against it, and tried their best to keep them away from the front lines, chilling out in the woods and helping with evacuations instead of fighting villains. contrast this with, say, a:tla, which I love, but which is very much one of those series filled with full-grown adults who are all “it’s up to this 12-year-old and his assorted 12-to-15-year-old friends to lead the battle to save the world lulz.” and this includes possibly the most beloved full-grown adult of all time, who nonetheless peaces out with an ironclad argument of “while it is true that the final villain is my actual brother, I’m still going to let the 12-year-old handle it because something something politics slash destiny.”

but anyways lol got sidetracked there. so steering this back on course now, I genuinely, truly love that in BnHA there are all these adults in the characters’ lives who are trying to keep them safe and nurture them and shield them from that extra burden of responsibility for as long as possible while they’re still learning. and so the kids have that extra safety net of support, which to me as a reader is just... comforting, I guess. like, I understand that it’s not going to last forever, but it’s reassuring to know that it exists for them for now. and I’m not in any hurry to say goodbye to that in favor of just tossing them out into tHE REAL WORLD!! lol. like omg no my babies.

anyway but so the point is that, with respect to everyone else’s theories, I personally don’t want a timeskip lol. and tbh I don’t really see the need for one either? if anything, we’re about to enter the most chaotic period in the entire manga once this arc ends. I’m assuming Tomura will survive this and escape somehow, the better to live and fight another day. and so if that’s the case, I feel like this would be the absolute weirdest time to do a timeskip, because how far ahead can we even jump lol. too far and we’d basically be coming back to an already-destroyed world lol whoops. basically I just don’t see how we can jump ahead more than a few months at the most, assuming that the threat of Tomura is going to be looming over everyone’s heads the entire time. plus we’d miss out on what I’m betting is going to be some of the most intense worldbuilding drama in the entire series, with our beloved characters potentially being swept up in like half a dozen political controversies. I sure don’t want to miss out on any of that. we didn’t wait so long to see this war play out only to skip out on the highly entertaining aftermath of it all.

anyway so that’s my as-usual-longer-than-necessary rant about timeskips. so now let’s talk about the series length. and here, I’m basically just basing my guess off of what Horikoshi has said in interviews. off the top of my head, there are three times he’s mentioned the ending of the series in interviews. first, there’s this interview, published in July 2018:

Interviewer: Previously in SUGOI JAPAN*, you mentioned that you would like Boku No Hero Academia to be a short and concise story and not drawn out, but what percentage of the story is complete at this point?

Horikoshi: When the decision to extend the series happened, I personally thought “I guess I want to end it here” and it was around Volume 30.

Interviewer: So then are you 2/3 done with the story?

Horikoshi: That’s what I had originally planned, but when I think of all the things that must be set up before getting into the last arc, I realized, “Ending the series at Volume 30 will be impossible” (laughs). However, the current arc that is going on all has purpose that will be relevant in the last arc.

*this is referencing a remark he made back at an awards ceremony back in March 2017.

second, we have this interview from August 2018, where he again mentions wanting to keep the story concise:

Do you know what the ending of My Hero Academia is? Do you think it'll be 80+ volumes like One Piece?

No, it won't be infinite – I don't have the stamina for it to be as long as One Piece. I'd like to keep it concise.

and lastly, this one which was published in December 2019:

What can you say about the future events of the manga?

I’m conscious of the end of the series, and writing towards that. I think the story will always be moving in big ways going forwards. My Hero Academia has a lot of characters, a lot of characters doing different things with different motivations, and the story is heading towards a conclusion where all of that comes together and heads towards the end.

my takeaways from these interviews are that (1) he originally planned for the story to be about 300 chapters long, (2) he’s had a clear idea of his overall endgame for a while now and has been steadily working towards that (as he put it in another interview, he knows all of the dots, but is still figuring out the lines to connect them all), and (3) he specifically said a couple years back that he did not want to write a long One Piece-length series, and his goal was to write a more concise story than that. Horikoshi’s pacing has always been much faster than Oda’s (or Kishimoto’s, or Kubo’s, etc.), and so I think it’s a realistic goal for him to wind up with a significantly shorter story in comparison.

my best guess is that BnHA won’t be much longer than 400 chapters, or a little over 40 volumes. he said back around chapter 180-something that he was nowhere close to being two-thirds of the way done. but it’s been two years since then, and if we haven’t reached at least the two-thirds mark by this point, I would honestly be very surprised. it would mean we’ve barely made any progress at all, and I don’t know about you, but the past few arcs have felt very purpose-driven to me. I think he has a pretty good idea of where he’s heading at this point, and that to me supports the idea of a shorter story than a lot of people have speculated. mind you, he might end up doing a sequel or something afterwards (although I kind of cringe thinking about all the ways we’ve seen that kind of thing go wrong in the past, ngl).

but as far as the series proper, yeah, I’d say 400 chapters is my best guess. ultimately I just hope he’s able to tell the story he wants to tell and gets as much time as he needs to do so, without feeling any pressure to then drag it on past that. knowing when to end your series is so underrated honestly. I have my fingers crossed that it’s a skill Horikoshi hopefully possesses.

PR anon // I was asked about Tea on Aisling and Michael? Well, they dated for a while, did charity things together, had fun on twitter, it looked good and fun and all that. Enter APAT somewhere in November 2018 or later (timeline is fuzzy in my head). Apparently he was single when they met but no one told Aisling that. When the APAT relationship was made public, tabloids reached out to her and her team and asked for comment. She apparently was stunned. TBC

Aisling’s ride on the sheen train ended somewhere in early 2019. It was not a long relationship but alas she seemed to like him a lot and they fit well. Back then he was less “feral” (I hate this word. He’s unhinged, call it what it is. Unhinged.) Anyways. Tabloids were quick to point out the timeline error and it appeared that APAT and MS met while he was still with AB. Enter his “for the record. Thanks.” tweet. (Still not over this, will never be over this).

The floated around timeline is this. AB and MS started dating around April 2018, went Insta Offical December 19, 2018. Sarah Silverman said on Kimmel in September 2018 that he dated someone for a beat and they broke up. That is odd for the timeline but ok whatever. Back to December 2018. Tabloids were full with AB and MS pictures and OMG official and such things. Here is the weird part. They never denied dating in December 2018 and also an award show together in May 2019.

SO. We are in May 2019. 13th to be exact. AB and MS leave an award show in the same cab and never public say anything about their relationship status. Skip forward to July 16, 2019. APAT and MSs relationship is leaked to the Daily Mail. Chaos ensure. Pictures from May 24, 2019 surface. Rumours swirl. Aisling is contacted for comment. I’ve heard she was not very happy with the whole situation but she’s classy AF so she’s keeping stumm. August 17, 2019. Michael bows to the pressure.

MS tweets this I was single from the beginning of last summer until he met APAT. Never said when he met her. So. He just let the papers write about him dating AB for months. Of course we all are like HUH?! No need for a statement like this if there is nothing to see. Because now people are LOOKING. Don’t put out a statement if there is really nothing shady because no one will believe you. The Tea is they dated, he cheated, APAT got pregnant (by design perhaps), he left AB. Sad.

YUP that’s pretty much how I assumed it has went down too honestly! I talked about it a while back BECAUSE of his tweet (he should have never even called attention to it honestly bc now I have more questions and there are still some gaps in the story).

Extraordinary You (2019)

The drama has been released in October of the last year. This review contains loooots of spoilers for both webtoon and drama. I watched it in spring since it’s so full of hope and youth and vibrance, but it is warm enough to save you from autumn melancholy and winter snowstorms.

Extraordinary You is based on Daum webtoon “July found by chance” which was the highlight of 2018-2019 for me. And I still patiently wait for every single chapter.

Actually I hesitated watching this drama ever since I heard of the release. So far I’ve encountered lots of webtoons turned into dramas I wanted to unwatch. I felt the writers would go all astray with the story and characters and I would feel angry because of my favorite scenes and characters.

First of all I have to assure you, I really enjoyed this drama, I binge watched it, like, 16 episodes in 2 days, and for the record, usually even if I like the drama, I still finish it over a week, about 2-3 episodes per day.

Secondly, the creators did completely rewrite the plot, the scenes, the characters. Some of the scenes and concepts still remained but overall the changes were big enough so that I could watch this as a separate work.

Still, there were changes in concepts I personally deem unnecessary.

The plot. The rich schoolgirl with a weak heart since birth and a one-sided crush, Dan-Oh, gradually realizes there’s something wrong with her. It turns out she’s actually a character in a romance shoujo comic book. And she isn’t eve the protagonist, more of an extra character. Such a pitiful fate since the author can get rid of her anytime. She decides to change her own fate. Later she gets to know another extra without a name, her classmate. Dan-Oh realizes that as an extra without much presence in the story he is capable of affecting the story in his own small ways. They become close and Dan-Oh gives him a name - Haru.

Haru and Eun Dan-oh

Have to say, I loved the main couple. They’re so cute!!! I also really love when the protagonist isn’t introduced from the very beginning and isn’t obvious, we can see some clues of Haru in the first episode, but we actually get to see him only in the second. And I love Haru way too much both in the webtoon and in the drama, at the beginning he is so mysterious, a bit dazed and yet so warm. And as his character develops, he shows different traits, determination, despair to save his beloved, jealousy etc. Yes, Haru is definitely my favorite.

Dan-Oh had a different interpretation from the webtoon, but different is not bad. The actress is not too beautiful but she is charismatic and cute. Her smile is absolutely charming. And I love the way she cries - it’s real and her face becomes a bit ugly but I can totally believe her grief. As a sarcastic person I would have liked to say she cries too much, but actually every single time she cried - there was a proper reason, I mean, who wouldn’t cry, I would totally wreck my nervous system with all those meta rollercoasters.

Compared to the webtoon the dynamics in the couple have changed because of the changes in Dan-Oh character. Dan-Oh in the webtoon is more serious and strong-willed. Dan-Oh in the drama is more light-spirited. The drama creators decided to do the classical trope where the heroine is often in the dark.

Have to say I liked and not liked at the same time what the writers have done with the story. I personally am really fond the concept of nameless extra becoming aware and falling in love with Dan-Oh. Without there being some kind of fate and dark story behind it. And then in the drama they show the scar and like how come the nameless extra with no features except for handsomeness gets to have a scar?

There wasn’t such a thing in the webtoon so obviously I started to suspect something like past connection from the very beginning. I still loved the storyline, the way they brought in the previous book, Trumpet Creeper. And I just loved the characters in all-those... um... Joseon? clothes (sorry if I’m wrong about the time).

Another thing I have to point out - the characters’ motives. In the drama Dan-Oh originally became close to Haru because of his ability to change the stage (comics scene). And it’s in the second half of the story when she realizes her feelings for him. They have such good chemistry from the very beginning. And then Dan-Oh goes all “Omg! I love him! That can’t be!” and I find myself facepalming a bit. I mean. In what way she is different from all those classic romance novels heroines? Thank god the writers didn’t drag that for way too long, not enough to get annoyed.

Still. what I really like about the webtoon. It’s not that the webtoon Dan-Oh wanted to rebel by completely changing the story. No. She wanted to find her first love by herself, from the very beginning. And that’s how she found Haru. They’re such a couple from the very beginning. And that’s just a biiiiiig difference.

In the drama Dan-Oh mentions somewhere in the last episodes that Haru is her true first love. But that was not her intention from the very beginning, just the way it turned out. Ad the actors look so cute together, their difference in weight is adorable and I’m also satisfied with the acting.

To sum it up, I thoroughly enjoy the dynamics in the Haru-Dan-Oh relationship both in the webtoon and in the drama. They’re just different. I personally recommend first watching the drama and only then reading the webtoon.

Baek Kyung

I think I mentioned but I really love the cast. The actor playing Kyung did his best. I mean if it were another actor I would have seen Kyung as no one but a total asshole. But I could really see the confusion and internal struggles here. Also the previous book storyline enabled us to feel more for Kyung, how he was written by the author as nothing but a really bad character for two books straight. I could feel his loneliness and despair to find out who he truly is apart from his character. In the webtoon I simply can’t feel anything for this character XD

Also I really loved the way they introduced Kyung’s little brother. Maybe I have missed some of the scenes but I don’t remember him in Trumpet Creeper? But he is definitely a very interesting and mysterious character. I hope he stays by Kyung’s side in the next book and the spend lots of good time together.

Do-hwa and Juda

I can’t believe I enjoyed their storyline so much. Jung Gun-joo, the actor playing Do-hwa was nominated for the best new actor for this role. And no wonder. He was truly extraordinary as Do-hwa struggling within his boundaries of supporting character. His one-sided love and inability to do what he want in the stage was just heartbreaking. Do-hwa is definitely the highlight of the whole drama. And I laughed because of his violin dilemma. And I cried because of his love for Joo-da.How he slowly came to realize that his actions cause hurt to the other characters. Ouch. I really hope in the next books he finds happiness. With Joo-da or with someone else.

And Joo-da. I really hoped she will get her ego. But honestly I couldn’t see their story with Do-hwa ending in any way but heartbreak for Do-hwa. Still. I really enjoyed the way Joo-da turned out to be once she got her ego. Every scene with her was delightful since then. And the way she herself admitted she wanted to date both... I really want to hug Do-hwa.

Namju didn’t leave any impression throughout the story except for the last episode strawberry jumper. And I laughed at the scene Joo-da gave Namju the spending diary (I myself wouldn’t mind one, have been anxious of my spending habits lately).

Miscellaneous

The Squid Fairy and his lover storyline was cute though too short. Glad they didn’t have much drama and got to spend time together in Secret.

The finale of the story left many questions but overall I got the picture. So they’re still together in the new book. But. Where’s Do-hwa??? And it seems Joo-da will still go for Namju... And I can’t tell who the protagonists are. I made myself think that this is some loooong new series by the author based on the students’ calm everyday (except for exams) life and that Haru and Dan-Oh can live happily ever after in this and next books as extraordinary characters.

Some concepts I really missed in the drama which are in the webtoon

1. The sky

The scene in both the drama and the webtoon where Haru gives Dan-oh the starry sky. The webtoon thing is that all the scenes in Secret happen during the daytime. And that’s why Dan-oh would like to see the starry sky. The not disappearing hole in the curtain holds a special meaning for Haru and Dan-oh. In the drama the creators made it so the whole give me the starry sky wish comes from the previous book. And there’re night scenes in the Secret. Though without the stars, yes.

2. The flying furniture

In the webtoon there’s a special place for Dan-Oh and Haru - the flying bench, a mistake made by the artist (and as I draw myself I can feel this deeply, sometimes you just don’t calculate something right and then that box or bench is way too high). In the drama there’re just random things flying everywhere in the shadow. And there’s also that black hole that appears in all the right places, gives scars and shows previous lives... I mean... *long sigh*

3. The artist presence

What I really love about the webtoon. We all know that artists and writers have to stay objective and do what they want to the story without listening to anyone’s opinion. But at the same time they can’t help to see the comments, what makes the readers annoyed or what they would like.

In the webtoon “July found by chance” sometimes we’re given glimpses of the comments to the webtoon “Secrets”. That gives us another perspective, how the artist thinks, how the readers react. And that’s just so exciting! Compared to the webtoon, in the drama The artist seems too distant.

“I don’t know if this is a smart idea. Like, being in the same city of them is risky let alone going to their concert.” Owen said to you as he wrestled to put Ayla into her outfit. She was pretty feisty for an eight month old baby, way more than Jaidyn had been. Ayla, your sweet, beautiful Ayla. She had been born on October 10th, 2017. Ironically the day of her father’s comeback, go figure. She was a perfect mix between you and JB, albeit having adopted his terrible temper. Having Ayla was something incredible. She was the one thing that encapsulated the love you lost, having gained love again. Jaidyn had been thrilled to find out she was having a baby sister, and true to her nature, she was an unbelievable helper. Jaidyn had grown so much in the past year, she was a laid back child, going with the flow and enjoying adventures. She had settled relatively easy back in Canada. There had been tears when she learned that you and JB had ended things. Oh there had been tears, and then she was sad he would never know of her baby sister. She was angry to for a bit, but life goes on. Now she was happy and excited.

“The likelihood of them seeing us in Toronto is like… none. And we will blend into the crowd at the concert. It’s fool proof. Besides, think of Jaidyn, she still misses him. This is a way for her to see him without him seeing us.” You smiled as you took your squirmy baby from him.

“Also I’ll have you there. You can protect us!” You laughed, Owen only scowled at you. He still wasn’t happy with how you handled things, but he loved those little girls so much. So much that he agreed to tag along to the city with you, to watch Ayla, while you took Jaidyn to the ‘Eyes On You’ concert. Something a few friends were apprehensive of. You couldn’t even imagine running into them. It wouldn’t happen. Toronto was way to big. Owen was finishing packing your bags and bringing them out to the car. He was an amazing man, you couldn’t help but admire. He had been there, to pick your crying pathetic ass up from the airport. He wrapped his arms around you and kissed your forehead, grabbing your bags and leading you and Jaidyn to his truck. After you came home he took care of you two, feeding you and making you laugh. You had changed your number quickly after returning, and deleted all the members off your social media. Even then you had been extremely careful of what you posted, in case a mutual friend saw something. You literally removed yourself from their life. It had hurt, god it had hurt. You almost messaged JB several times, like the day of his comeback when Ayla entered the world. Or when Jaidyn had done something amazing at gymnastics. Everything you were excited for and wanted to share with him you couldn’t, and that’s where Owen came in. He was there. He was there for everything and you appreciated him so much for it.

“Are you ready, because I am, and let me tell you… this drive is going to suck without coffee” Owen said, pulling you away from your thoughts.

“Yup, all set” You replied making your way to the door. Jaidyn had already run off and climbed into the car, anxious to head to the City. With the house locked and the car packed, your little family was off to the City for a few days vacation.

“Hyung! Do you want to come to the mall with us. Let’s go shopping?!” Youngjae yelled, making JB look up from his phone. It was the last picture he had taken with you and Jaidyn. It was his lock screen, his home screen, hell he’s pretty sure he made it every screen and printed it out for places around the dorm and his studio.

“No thanks, I’m going to rest.” He mumbled, looking back at your smiling faces. Just over a year had passed, a whole year where he had thrown himself into work, not wanting to believe you were gone. He had tried to contact you. Several times a day in the beginning, even having the other members try. When you had changed your phone number he moved to social media, only realizing you had deleted him, and the others. You had ripped his heart out, and now you made it completely impossible for him to contact you. He had been angry, so angry towards you. He tried to get over you time and time again. He dated other girls, but it never went far. A few dates in he called it off, they weren’t you. No one was you. He wanted you, he wanted his daughter, he wanted the little family you gave him. So he threw his whole being into work. The song face on their 7 of 7 album was about you, how he had prayed you would hear it and reach out to him, realizing he needed you, but you never did. The other members tried to help him move on, but gave up. They supported him, regardless of how it hurt them to see him still hung up on you. They weren’t angry at you anymore though. Just upset and confused on how you could just leave. Each one of them missed you in their own way, and they still secretly tried to find you. JB knew this when going through Jackson’s phone once for a certain picture. He had seen the attempts to text you.

“Are you sure. We don’t come to Canada often, it will be nice to get out….” Jinyoung said cautiously.

“I’m okay, thanks. Have fun.” JB replied without looking up. Toronto, being in Canada, it hurt. He knew your home town was only 3 hours away, and when it was announced that they would be in Canada, he tried to figure out exactly how he could track you down, showing up on your doorstep. Sadly, he couldn’t. So here he was, staring at your picture, wishing with all his might that you would show up to his concert, like you used to in Seoul.

“Okay, well…. we will see you later” Jinyoung said, leaving with Youngjae to visit the Eaton Centre.

Exhausted and lonely, JB went to his hotel bed and simply decided to nap.

“You brought me shopping… and not even at Bass Pro. This is torture” Owen exclaimed, pushing a sleeping Ayla in the stroller as you held Jaidyn’s hand, walking into the Eaton Centre.

“Come on!!! It’s fun! This place is the best!” You smiled brightly at him.

“YEAH! And they have the Disney store!!!!!” Jaidyn yelled, jumping like a little bunny full of excitement.

Owen smiled fondly at the two of you, meaning you had won this battle with your charms. Walking around the shopping centre brought you a feeling of peace. So many stores you didn’t have at home that you could spend hours in. Walking among the many individuals browsing, you made your way to the Disney store, as per Jaidyn’s request.

“Can we please, please buy something?” Jaidyn asked in her cute way when she really wanted something.

“We will see” You replied with a smile.

“I’ll wait outside with the baby, no use for us going in”

“Really…..”

“Yeah, we will be right there when you come out” He said with a chuckle, pointing to a bench, as you approached the store front, conceding that he would not walk into the store with you, opting to play on his phone while he waited. You and Jaidyn left him, and walked into the store of happiness.

Youngjae and Jinyoung had been walking around for a while now, hardly being noticed, so the two were just enjoying the time. While walking along the corridor glancing around, Youngjae looked into a store with toys and kids running around. Youngjae faltered in his steps, looking up he noticed he was in front of a Disney store.

“Why did you stop?” Jinyoung asked, with a quirked eyebrow.

“No reason, Hyung, lets wait a minute” Youngjae said making his way to the glass wall railing that overlooked to the floor below, not bothering to wait for a response from the older man.

“Why?” Jinyoung asked again. Youngjae was ignoring him, but his eyes were trained on the entrance of that store.

“What are you waiting for? Just go in if you want, don’t stand here” Jinyoung said in annoyance.

“Maman!”

Jinyoung whipped around to the entrance of the store, he knew that voice. Oh god, he knew that voice so well.

“Maman, lets go!”

Jinyoung held his breath, when the little girl who was calling to their mom stepped out of the store, Jinyoung gasped. It was her. The little girl he read stories too, who had dance offs with. There she was, right in front of him.

“Hyung…” Youngjae went to move forward, only for Jinyoung to grab his wrist, shaking his head as Youngjae looked at him. They waited with bated breath, watching the entrance that she was standing in front of. A few seconds later, you emerged holding a multitude of bags and a smile on your face. You didn’t notice them, instead you looked at your daughter, who was running ahead of you. They watched you walk over to a man standing opposite of them. They watched as he took the bags from you and put them under a stroller. Jinyoung’s eyes went wide, a stroller. Youngjae was staring, he couldn’t believe it. There you were, with Jaidyn, another man, and with a stroller. Jaidyn was way to old for a stroller.

As if by the grace of god, the little person in the stroller started to cry. They watched as you bent down and picked up the baby, snuggling it close. Youngjae looked at Jinyoung with a shocked expression.

“Oh shit. Hyung… is that… do you think….?” Youngjae asked unable to form a true sentence.

“We don’t know anything. Let’s not jump to any conclusions.” Jinyoung said, but he had an aching suspicion on the reason why you had left Korea now. He closed his eyes for a minute. Should he follow you, should he tell JB. His mind was muddled on what to do.

“Come on Jaidyn, we need to head to the hotel now. We need to rest well for the concert tomorrow”

“Maman, do you think Appa will see me?” Jaidyn asked, you could tell she wanted to see JB so badly.

“No sweetie, remember I told you Appa is very busy. We will go support him but don’t be upset if he doesn’t see you in the crowd okay?” You said with a smile.

Jinyoung looked back at Youngjae, who was taking a picture of the scene in front of him.

“What are you doing?!” Jinyoung whispered harshly.

“We have to tell Hyung!” Youngjae whined.

“Omg are you nuts, what if she sees us!” Jinyoung said turning around to face somewhere other than at you.

“Did you hear though, she’s going to the concert!” Youngjae said with a smile.

“Youngjae, I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing” Jinyoung said. Honestly, he didn’t know what he felt, other than chaos.

“Let’s follow them!” Youngjae exclaimed.

“What… NO! Why would we do that?” Jinyoung was losing his mind right now.

“Because then we will know which hotel she is at… duh. Honestly Hyung, why aren’t you thinking?” Youngjae said as he began to walk after you.

“Omg Youngjae!” Jinyoung called after him.. jogging to catch up. This was a bad idea, Jinyoung thought.

“Lets walk by the TORONTO sign!” Jaidyn squealed. She was full of energy, running this way and that.

“Can you at least stay close?” Owen warned. It was the beginning of summer and the square was absolutely crowded.

“Hey! Look!” Jaidyn said running forward to all the flags.

“She is so happy” You remarked, looking towards Owen. He was pushing the now back asleep baby for you. He would never admit it, but he was enjoying this little trip.

“Yeah, she is. But are you?” He questioned, keeping his eye on the eight year old who was running in every direction.

“I am”

“Nervous?”

“Yes, now that I am here… I am but I know the likelihood of being seen is so small. He probably wouldn’t even recognize me”

“Sure, three years of dating, and he just forgets about you. Do you know what he’s been up too?”

“No, I’m sure he is dating some really beautiful idol. Ya know? Living his life normally” You said with a faint, but sad smile.

“Maybe, you deserve happiness Y/N. Don’t think that just because you have the girls that no one will love you, and them whole heartedly. You should open yourself up again.”

“The girls are my priority. Besides, I’m not ready. My heart still belongs to him” You looked at Owen, who was now looking at you.

“He doesn’t deserve it” He snapped, turning back towards the Toronto sign, where Jaidyn was playing.

You looked at your eldest daughter, smiling and laughing as she ran around. Owen had been there to catch her when she fell, he had dried your tears, maybe he was right. Maybe it was time to let go and live happily.

“Hyung, look how happy Jaidyn is. I want to hug her and run too” Youngjae said as he watched Jaidyn. Jinyoung couldn’t help it, he also was watching the little girl play. It had been a long year. Everyone had been lost in the beginning when you had left. Their hearts broken, missing both of you. JB had thrown himself into work, to the point that it was almost scary. For a year they had been busy working and preparing for this tour, but the hole never closed. There had been so much anger for Jinyoung. He was close to you and for you to just leave, it hurt so much. Now, seeing you with a man and your daughter that anger had returned in full force.

“Youngjae, we need to go” Jinyoung interrupted Youngjae’s private photo shoot.

“You can’t keep taking pictures like that”

“Whyyyyyyyyyyyy!” Youngjae whined.

“Because, it looks weird. Come on, lets go back to the hotel” Jinyoung began to drag the reluctant Youngjae towards their accommodation for the next few days.

“But Hyung, don’t you want to find out where they’re staying!?”

“Absolutely not, you’ll tell Jaebum-hyung and that would be bad!” Jinyoung exclaimed.

“He deserves to know.”

“Youngjae…. lets go.”

You and Owen had sat down on a bench, watching Jaidyn run around the square to release energy, being oblivious to the two men who also watched her. Jaidyn had seen them though. She stopped for a moment and looked right at them, before giving them a wave and running to you.

“Maman, I’m hungry” your little big girl stated.

“Yes! Let’s go eat” Owen shouted, getting up and grabbing her hand, leading her towards the hotel. You laughed and stood, bending down to put something in the overflowing basket of the stroller. When you stood up you looked around for the two who had seemingly disappeared. Your eyes caught movement to the left of you, and you could have sworn you recognized those backs. No way, you thought. Taking another minute before you went after your daughter and best friend.

“Nahhhh, no way” you chuckled to yourself, you were simply being ridiculous. There was no way you were going to fun into any member of GOT7, that would be a way to cliche sappy romcom story, like the fics you secretly read once the kids were asleep.

JB was lying on the hotel bed, going over some lyrics he was playing with. He missed how you used to tease him. Telling him to put them away and come back later to them. He would always scoff, but you were right, breaks helped him so much. God he missed you. Missed the way you would fall asleep on the couch waiting for him. Missed how you would show up to dance practice with Jaidyn just because. He missed the way you argued with him over the dumbest things. He missed everything. A whole year of missing you, Jaidyn, birthdays and Christmas. A year without you and yet the pain was still the same. He had visited his parents shortly after you had left. His mom had held him and let him cry. She was understanding of you, had said that there must be a bigger reason on why you had left, but she had been adamant that you loved him. Well if you loved him why the hell did you leave him. He wanted to marry you one day. He wanted to put Jaidyn on his family registry. He wanted you and only you.

Now he was laying on this bed, in this hotel, in your damn home country and he had no idea how to find you. Did you know he was here? Did you still keep up on him? Sighing, he rolled over, looking out the window.

He was lost in his thought when there was a sudden urgent knocking on his door. Reluctantly, he got up and opened it, just to tell which ever member it was to go away.

“Hyung!” Youngjae came flying in, followed by Jinyoung.

“YOUNGJAE!” Jinyoung yelled.

“YAH! What do you want? I was trying to sleep” He said running his hand over his face, getting up from the bed.

“I saw her hyung! We saw her!!!” Youngjae rushed out. Jinyoung was standing there, looking like he didn’t know what world he was in.

“Who? Youngjae slow down.” JB said, as Jinyoung shut the door and turning to the overly excited younger man.

“JAIDYN!” Youngjae said with a huge smile on his face. JB’s face went pale. Jaidyn, his little girl?

“Wh-what?” JB stammered.

“Hyung, we saw Jaidyn! Look” Youngjae whipped his phone open to show JB the pictures he had taken of the little girl.

“Wh-where? Where was she?” JB was going through the pictures. His little girl, oh god his little girl, was in this city.

“At the mall hyung, we didn’t talk to her, we just saw her briefly” Jinyoung said.

“Hyung, she is going to the concert. Maybe we can find her there!” Youngjae was smiling from ear to ear.

“And y/n?” JB whispered out.

“Uh, yes. We saw her too.” Jinyoung said hesitantly. JB noticed the tension filling the air when he asked about you. Something was off, but he wasn’t going to question it right now. You were here, you were here with his girl, going to the concert. He was going to find you. He was going to find you and remind you about how much you loved him and how he loved you. He was going to get you back.

“Jaidyn are you ready?” You called from the bathroom. Your trip to Toronto thus far was amazing, a much needed time for you, how ever at this moment your anxiety was running through the roof. It was the concert day, which meant in exactly three hours, you were going to be in a crowded arena with screaming fans, looking at the love of your life. What if he saw you, what if he saw Jaidyn?

At this point you weren’t sure if you even cared.

You heard the baby squeal from inside the room.

“AYLA!” Jaidyn yelled

“Mom!!! Ayla won’t give me my BamBam socks!” Jaidyn yelled.

Laughing you exited the bathroom.

“Why does she have them in the first place” looking at your baby who was sitting on the floor. When Ayla saw you, she started crawling towards you, with a sock in her mouth.

“Oh Ayla, drop the sock.” You said laughing as you picked her up, taking the sock and handing it to Jaidyn.

“Can we leave soon!! I am so excited!” Jaidyn said, putting her socks on.

“Yes, in a few minutes we will go baby.” You mumbled smushing Ayla’s face against yours for kisses.

“How late will you two be?” Owen asked from the bed. You sat down across from him, lifted your shirt and began to feed Ayla.

“Concert is over at 11, so like after that.” You said, playing with Ayla’s hair while she ate.

“Make sure you have your phone. Walking that late at night, in the city….. please text me” He said. You laughed, this poor guy was so protective of you.

“Yes dad” You chuckled. He smiled and went back to playing on his phone.

“Okay, there’s 2 bottles of breast milk in the fridge, and her snacks. I doubt you will need them, but they’re there for ya. Have fun with her tonight, and thanks. I appreciate you coming and watching her for me.” You said as Ayla finished, standing and passing her to him.

“Of course, I’d do anything for you” He stood up taking the baby and walked you to the door. Kissing Jaidyn and then your forehead.

“Be careful, please.” His voice held a hint of worry.

“Promise” You said as you grabbed Jaidyn’s hand and left.

“Ready baby?”

“Ready maman”

JB was a bundle of nerves, more than normal. Sound check had went smoothly, everything was great. The guys were feeling wonderful and ready to put on a killer performance. JB was ready to put his everything into this concert. He wanted his fans proud, but he also wanted you to be proud, if you actually showed.

“Do you think she actually is coming?!” Jackson asked, tearing JB from his thoughts.

“Well Jaidyn said she was coming to the concert!” Youngjae said plopping down beside Jackson on the couch.

“But is it this concert?” Mark asked.

“It has to be! She would never miss seeing her favourite member” BamBam said.

“It doesn’t matter. Tonight we will put on an amazing show for our fans. Everyone, I want you to concentrate and have fun, be safe too. No injuries” JB turned on the leader switch. Ensuring everyone's safety was priority.

Their manager announced what time it was and the members scurried to get ready.

“Hyung….” JB said quietly pulling his manager aside.

“She’s here.. I think…” He said to the older male, his manager looked shocked at this.

“Is she, really?” he quirked an eyebrow, JB understood his hesitation. His manager had picked him up on more than one occasion since you left. JB worried that one day his manager would lose it on him, tell him to get over you.

“Yes…. can you… you know…. help me to try and find her…. like you always do?” His manager smiled, for the past year he was helping to look for you, he had found your social media but it was private so he couldn’t access it. He always had a picture of you and Jaidyn to show the security workers, just in case you decided to show up. Tonight was no different.

“I will go see the head of security, if she comes… I will find her” He patted JB’s shoulder and went to leave. JB sighed in relief and went to get ready.

“Mommy, I am so hungry!” Jaidyn complained.

“Well… you’re the one who wanted to come wait in line. I can buy you food once we are inside” You smiled at her.

“Fine….” she pouted.

“Look, any minute now the doors will open okay, it’s almost 7pm” You reassured her. After what felt like forever, the doors finally opened. After proceeding to get in, the two of you walked around the venue before purchasing a hot dog and heading to your seats. Jaidyn was ecstatic. She was hyper and happy, jumping around in her seat waiting for the show to start.

“We saw her” the manager said as he walked back stage.

“WHAT?!” a chorus of voice shouted, looking towards him. They saw you, JB thought.

“Well, where is she?” Yugyeom asked, bouncing forward. He wanted nothing more than to hug you tightly and drag you home with them.

“Sitting in section 107, you guys have a good show. Don’t think about it to much. I will get more information okay.”

“Thank you” JB smiled, for the first time in a year he actually felt happy.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you find out about Harry, and what made you start to stan him?

omg of course i don’t mind!! i heard about harry from a news video thing about medicine being a “bi anthem” and i was like wtf the boy from one direction is One Of Us (i knowww he doesn’t label and i respect that but was not aware at the time obv) and then i listened to the song and i was like 👀👀.

then it was probably a couple days later i was like damn i need some new music so i looked up his album. a lot of the time when i start a new album i’ll start with the last song (i know it’s problematique) so i listened to from the dining table. i was really surprised!!! i listened to the build (u kno the one) probably 5 or six times and i was just absolutely blown away. and then i slowly started listening to the rest of the album and i would say by this time 2 years ago i was pretty hooked!! i started following some harry blogs and then eventually made my own (this one) in july 2018!!

this last year-ish of my life has been totally fucking weird and in some ways it’s all thanks to him dfgjdlkfjg and i wouldn’t change a thing 😌

welp, gang! not only another year is coming to an end, but it also marks the end of a decade. i’ve been drawing for over 10 years now, so i figured i should do a decade of art just to show off my work over the years!

TL;DR: just all around happy with how much i improved over the years and i can’t wait to see what 2020 will bring!

2009 (11-12 yrs old) at this point, I’m on my second year of drawing (both traditionally and digitally!) This year mainly consisted of either oc art or drawings of my best friends at the time, but there was some fanarts sprinkled here and there. I also did my first animation piece around this time too tho it’s private now :3c i may show it off one day...

2010 (12-13 yrs old) I got my first drawing tablet for Christmas 2009 and this is when i went ham on my digital drawings. this year was kinda weird i guess? i started experimenting a more cartoony style on some artworks, though the majority are still anime inspired.

2011 (13-14 yrs old) ah yes...... the year i found out about homestuck.... well, i found out about it on the second half of the year. the first half was all about my ocs. this was because around this time (or late 2010? i dont remember exactly) i discovered flipnote hatena, where I did tons of animations including my ocs. but once i discovered homestuck, that was all i posted for a while lol. this was also the year I made my tumblr account. oh and I also lost my tablet pen for a few months so some of the drawings from this year were made with a mouse.

2012 (14-15 yrs old) I started falling out of deviantArt and became more active on tumblr. I mellowed out on the homestuck drawings a bit and posted other stuff. this year was kinda similar to 2010, where my artstyle was kinda all over the place. the second half of the year I discovered a super obscure browser dating sim called Star Project and became a part of the roleplaying community so plenty of my artworks revolved on my muse Souta and the game as a whole. 2013 (15-16 yrs old) this year was really quiet in terms me posting art. i had been constantly doodling both traditionally and digitally but I never got around to posting the majority of them. this was mainly because I was so busy with school. on the flipside however, I discovered Earthbound and i hecking fell in love with it ♥

2014 (16-17 yrs old) still relatively quiet but i posted more than 2013 lol. Earthbound drawings galore! i also did posted more oc work, including my gal Usako. I haven’t posted her anywhere in a long time though. i have been redesigning her and i’ll show it off sometime in the future!

2015 (17-18 yrs old) ahh, here we go! now we’re picking up the pace! i graduated from high school this year and started posting more often. splatoon came out this year and I was constantly drawing them squidkiddies! (tho tbh my rin and len drawing is my fav) this was also the year I got Manga Studio (an older version of Clip Studio Paint) but I still used Paint Tool Sai. this was also the first year i did commissions!

2016 (18-19 yrs old) this year was really interesting tbh. lots of really neat works and i started to do more backgrounds. this was also the year I (attempted) to do my webcomic! i haven’t updated that thing in a long time tho. I want to reboot it one of these days. but anyways, good mix of fanart and oc works. really, this year was great.

2017 (19-20 yrs old) this was the year i made this very art blog and my instagram account! (which i haven’t advertised here at all but here’s the link lol) i think it was around this point i found my own artstyle that i want to more or less stick to! of course, it was going to change overtime, but compared to the years prior, my artstyle at this point has been more consistent. this was also the year i attempted to start an oc askblog with a friend of mine but it haven’t gone far ;w; def want to try again one of these days!

2018 (20-21 yrs old) this year was also really nice! i moved to a new university to get a major in animation. quite a few persona 5 and kingdom hearts drawings here and there since i was like love with both of those games (even tho kh3 wasn’t even out at that point, but i was still hyped omg) i also introduced Cimmaria and Nicktornal for a future story that i’m currently developing! i also made a full move to Clip Studio Paint after Paint Tool Sai wouldn’t load on my new computer.

2019 (21-22 yrs old) last year of the decade and i left it with quite a bang! I def posted more often. i did missed a few months, but then i would come back with a bunch more works to post! I discovered Artfight from a friend so that kept me busy during the month of july! made a couple more animations too since of course i will be doing more of it for university.

So, what’s my 2020 art resolution?

Def want to keep posting! try to go for at least 4 artworks per month, one for each week.

experiment more on backgrounds, perspective and composition!

post more oc artworks! i haven’t been posting much about them for the past few years but I really want to change that. there is one oc i am definitely introducing to you all! here’s a hint: it is a Dungeons and Dragons character. I will show them off when the time is right uwu

continue developing on story ideas and sticking to it! i’ve noticed that i usually start on projects only then to drop them later on. I really want to revive them and work on it!

continue working on animation! if all goes well, i’ll be taking animation classes in fall of 2020 so i need to start prepping more!

and of course, continue improving my art!
