i mean for all the bi characters the hc is pretty self explanatory, i mean look at them yknow. hes a little too fruity with mally and thackery 🤨 but tarrant and alice are literally bi4bi couple of all time as for the nonbinary hc, i dont know! id like to know if anyone else sees him this way or if its just me :) hes just got too much enby swag

its all spiderwebs fault!!!!!!! it made her gay!!!!!!!!! /j but seriously, kissing ladypillar and different numbers such ho hey (you know how every now and then theyll switch alice standing with mally to someone else like thackery or absolem, the few times she did it with ladypillar are so funny because they cant rhyme the pronouns 😭). also ik this sounds silly but i really appreciate that in the mtp shows once ladypillar was added they didnt stop doing spiderwebs or change it to be like “haha were both girls 😵‍💫blehh this is so weird 😂”/play it off as a joke or anything because they very easily could have done that. shes trans. i already made that post with her and mally but again, if shes not trans then why is her color palette blue and pink? checkmate liberals. 

thackery: bisexual & bigender

yeah hes bi i dont know what else to say he and mally are in love frfr i actually just completely made up bigender. made it up, i dont know where i got it from i just remember early february drawing mad t party on my laptop and suddenly thinking “bigender thackery” and its stuck with me since then. (the two genders i hc him with are male/female though so) i wouldnt say he feels just one or the other, he feels both at the same time

haha this is mostly because of @thatrandomartistjavi's hcs xd chessur is special in the sense that hes the only mtp character that never really gets a chance to flirt with anyone else since hes always hiding behind that drumset. from what ive seen he was shipped with dinah a lot, presumably just cuz theyre both cats since they rarely interact, so ive never really understood it :p i usually hc cheshire cats as nonbinary/something under that umbrella but this guy gives me transgender vibes. idk

absolem/ladypillar(? dont know if she ever got a real name): lesbian & trans

shes very much a lesbian. just. just like yeah. i think the most prominent character that she flirts with (other than alice) is mally. from what ive seen it only really happens when its el dormouse on stage but before i started seeing that i always saw mally/absolem/thackery as like, a trio. i mean obviously everyone in the band are friends, but idk. i have lots of drawings of those three hanging out so maybe thats just something my delusional brain has completely made up. but anyway the point is i dont ship those two and i sort of see them with a more sibling dynamic. mally always holds her back when shes trying to touch the little castle music box thing, at the end of sets he’ll pull her antennae to take her off stage/she'll pull him by his scarf, etc. (also theres a clip where she kisses him on the cheek and as they begin to walk off stage she turns to the crowd and mouths “no” and does the throat slitting gesture thing which makes me think theyre sorta just playing around :p)

sooo in a post a while back i said i hc her as genderfluid but ive changed my mind?? actually before i made that post i headcanoned her as trans but then switched to genderfluid and now ive uhh changed my mind again. im very indecisive like that and very easily swayed on my opinions haha,,, @ticktockteapot's metaphor for her “becoming the beautiful butterfly she was always meant to be” is very nice i like it lots. also the fact that ladypillar has a much higher stage presence than absolem (obviously not including the spiderwebs number…or crazypillar) was always so sweet to me cuz like,,,aw shes finally more comfortable being herself and performing :’)

max deals with a toxic relationship during thhe show (its basically this show i made up in my head so im gonna say show) whereas this guy takes advantege of them and it fucks them up big tome. and theo is sad the entire time because he has feelings for max. more about theo down below!!!!vv

the one on the left is alex!!! shes 13 she has black hair dyed pink on the ends and shes autistic and obsessed with bombs and shes trigger-happy. shes like kind of obsessed with violent stuff but she radiates sunshine and shes literally batshit insane but i love her. she is a lesbian as seen from this photo

she is half filipino and half mexican. her father is absent and her mom is lowkey neglectful as fuck. shes also missing an eye and wears an eye badnage rhing. she dealth with lots of bullying when she was younger and actually is very dangerous she shiuld be locked up.

one on the right is sam and shes a trans lesbian. she is really kind and nice and uust goes along with everyone, but she has like a dark side n lets her walls down around her gf alex and her friends. she struggles with mental health issues and is also autistic and has a hard time showing her emotiosn and speaking. she can be serious sometimes and its kinda scary how she switches from being dark and brooding to all nice and talkative. basically she masks super hard but shes a rlly good person i love her.

she has an eating disorder. i havent decided what one but she struggles with body dysmorphia and body dysphoria. she is struggling all over

basically one is like they all be normal and max starts a company and gets all successful and alex is like super tech savvy and mechanical so shes like a worker for him and he pays her and theyre like a business duo. and theo is like a successful scientist too and i think sam is something idk but i have a deisgn for her and shes all goth snd pretty but idk what she does in tje fuyute.

the other ending (bad endging warning!!) is alex (the really unstable and trigger happy one) loses it and shoots up their school. she goes to prison for a long time and max and her friends are really bretrayed. and then they meet in the future when she gets release and their friendship is never the same and. its justnlike really angsty and sad and it makes me sad and i feel like its mean to put them througj that so i consider the ending where they grow up happy as the canon one. i still like the idea of alex going crazy so ill probably make some stuff for that

 so this is i think one of the last rants i had left, also abt incest so like.

what is it about incest that makes it even appealing in the first place...??? like this is not an essay i’m genuinely just ...???  and like writing the thought process so im gonna try to keep it as short as i can.

mostly abt fiction and fetish as smth that hinges on the social nature of a type pf relationship. what i mean is that tho incest exists as an action, im talking of the fetish part that through the conceptions of what a, say, sibling-like relationship is usually known of gets inserted into another relationship or are elements that are framed to arouse.

moving on, what i don’t get is what even, unique to a filial relationship, is supposed to be attractive.  like for starters let’s forbode noticeable agegaps and intergenerational incest bc age taints over the incest combined or not (like even for ppl born basically at the same time they assign them power over other thru age, but i mean what i see it’s the main appeal point abt that little sister-older brother for example, or niece/uncle/stepparent thing is the age-power dynamic that the incest is subservient to or as an aid). 

even staying purely horizontal here, see how people talk about cousins, even in things that have absolutely nothing to do w incest; a counsin they see only every 5 years, [aunt’s name here]’s family, their family; politically like close enough to keep X family resource inside but far enough to get external resource or relationship or benefit, those incestuous flings ppl seem to have as in ‘we’re not THAT close’ ‘that’s not THAT much blood relation’. frequently theres a sense of distanciation, sometimes they’re talked as if theyre not or just barely family, like theyre some rando.

honestly similar can be said of how ppl talk abt step siblings, or half siblings or adopted ones, even unrelated to incest, it’s just a tendency to Other family members like that much theire detriment sometimes. but w all this as far as reasons go abt justifying incest or why they just gravitate to incestuous relationships in fiction/fetisg even **if for not-so-malicious intents, to me there’s the Despite-of and the Because-of. So the ones where the incest is minimized of just that the pair are revealed to be related later on (real or fictional) for example are Despite-of. In contrast the Because-of is where i’m still perplexed about.

like anyone can say abt using incest as a narrative tool to say Y and Z abt The Human Condition, relationships or horror etc like sure ig, w good writing it’s meant to say smth significative. very big brain and all. or bc an exemplar coincides w more common and popular, unrelated to incest, tropes. But. i don’t think that’s what porn actor are thinking about. and i say actors or porn directors and not porn writers bc writers are still obligated to develop a story in its own right (regardless of writing quality) while porn, video, comic, images, whatever can exist on its own and whose context can be summarized in a single title w/o any story whatsoever.

WHAT about the idea of siblingry, in its most simple platonic ideal, is what’s sexy, regardles if the people are actual siblings or not, bc the title could also be put over ppl that didnt even have the concept of incest in mind and were not involved in the titling at all. again unlike age, or physical or any other type of power dynamuc that usually has v defined roles, WHAT can you insert abt siblingry, that’s unique to it, into a sexual or romantic relationship that appeals to some basic taste, need ot whatever.

i dont need to follow the thought process of a pedophile or a chaser of any kind to, at the very least, recognize the demographics they pursue and recognize why they do, or rather what allows them to predate them. you can at the very least understan that looking after vulnerable people or marginalized demographics is very convinient, be it individually (say, a drunk person), or as a class/group (lgbt teens). but can you describe A Sibling. even based on stereotypes, try to visualize a sibling. what does it look like, what age are they, like not even one related to you just the idea of a Sibling etc, its all relative. you can say the same abt parents ofc but more often than not, you can visualize an average age, reasons they couldva had children, that theyre parents BC they have children, thats a relative thing, but you dont need  to know the age of the kid or how they look bc the subject is Parent, not Child, no matter the stage of life either of those are in, theres a clear division of roles. but people have no control over siblings, theyre just givens outside their own control that you have to live with. it doesnt necesarily mean a cordial relationship or a jealous or a confrontational or competitive type of relationship, in my opinion.

it doesnt click yet in my mind what even the most basic, path of least resistance popular reason about it is that makes it, all in all, a very popular fetish, i try i really do. like if it’s just Bc It’s Taboo reasoning, literally you tell a kid not to do smth so theyre gonna do it stronger logic, i hope i don’t lose contact from the eyeroll im gonna do.

you’re post on ‘coming out’ was something that really resonated with me because as a somewhat closeted (my parents don’t and won’t ever know) woc, ‘coming out formally’ is just not something i give much thought about, at all (i have done it b4 with my siblings, but it didn’t even feel as gratifying as the media makes it out to be). like sure, if someone kindly asks, i’d tell them and that’s that. a queer friend of mine just told me a week ago, “oh i forgot ur bi” and i think it’s just telling that it’s not something i disclose often or feel obligated to. additionally, i feel like definitely being a poc (compared to someone who’s white and lgbt), that facet of my identity (since it’s obviously visible asf) seems more pressing? if that makes sense? anyway, happy pride and thanks for putting my thoughts on my relationship w my sexuality into words<3

oh yes i completely agree its framed to be something super gratifying and something u build up to ur whole life when really the biggest reason for "coming out" in the first place was to increase visibility and awareness which really isn't something we need anymore in this day and age like it's ok to go around acting as though everyone knows we're gay without having to make a big fancy blown out announcement. the whole mainstream attitude around coming out is extremely white and western and just not. my favorite. also while we're on the topic I dislike the term "in the closet" as well.. not really for any big fancy reason or whatever i just personally don't like how it's used as an umbrella term for anyone who hasn't "officially" come out bc to me i feel like that term should be used to refer to those who chose to deliberately hide their identity rather than someone who just doesn't care to come out. but also i understand the way the term is used is intertwined w coming out culture so i can't really say i hate it that much bc the point at which we're in with regards to coming out most ppl DO feel like theyre deliberately hiding their identities prior to the announcement simply bc they haven't explicitly stated it. anyway. im glad my post resonated :)

A ship I have with said character: this is making me realize i dont really have almost any ships with mythra lol! i like her nia and pyra as a poly couple (like. nia is dating both of them but mythra and pyra are obviously not dating each other) sorry rex. her and brighid being exes is something that can be so personal /// venti and zhongli because i dont like shipping him with the normal aged characters <3 also theyre funny and stupid /// azura and kaden is really cute i love how she gets to relax in their support! i think i paired her with kaze on my first playthrough and also liked them. really wish she got any supports with women that werent her family but i think her and felicia wouldve been cute!

A BROTP I have with said character: mythra and pyra have such an interesting dynamic going on i wish they had more interactions with each other in the game. her and opening up to a friendship with rex is also something i really love even if (gestures to the notp section) /// venti diluc might not be bros but they DO know way too many of each others secrets by sheer accident bar tender and drunk idiot can transcend friendship actually /// azura and the hoshido siblings :(( mainly thinking of sakura here but i think post game that they all deserve to be a real family to parallel how corrin is with the nohr siblings.

A NOTP I have with said character: i hate mythra and rex romantically. it doesnt help that hes officially 15 and its impossible to see her as anywhere close to that age. even ignoring that i think they work best as good friends /// uuuh im not a huge fan of venti/barbara? she feels like a 16 year old idol to me but ill admit the god x nun thing is kind of comedy gold and if you dont see her as a kid its fine /// poor azura to be romance bait for the player only to be the playable characters cousin.... they did her so dirty with that

A random headcanon: back in torna era mythra cooked something well once and it was on accident and nobody believed she made it and she was a lil tempted to use the siren laser beam to blow something up she was so mad /// venti invented the teyvat version of beer pong /// not long after azura got to hoshido she tried to ride a pegasus and fell right off and swore off trying again for years

General Opinion over said character: mythra is up there for being one of the best written women in a recent game for me? i think her struggles with what shes been through and seen making her literally create an idealized version of herself (who is still flawed and imperfect) is such an interesting story even if its hindered by how fucking awful her model/design can be at times and the fact two of her first scenes are being weirdo tsundere anime girl trope. that part sucks. but anyways shes still really well written most of the time and i love her arc when you look at how she was at the start of torna through to the end of xc2 proper

venti is like... im waiting to see what exactly he did during the fall of khaenri'ah before solidifying any proper thoughts i have on him if that makes sense? the seven are hiding so much i feel like i cant make a judgement call about them until we get more info (i say as if zhongli isnt one of my favorite characters, but i Understand him a lot more than i do venti). i think that the fandom is sooooo wrong about him hes a sad old man who has lost so much and drinks to comfort himself and i think the grief and loss that echoes throughout his story quest is his best trait. also 100% believe that he agreed to losing his gnosis and that it was all a big act that it was being stolen from him, if that doesnt end up being canon im gonna be really disapointed

azura is the backbone the glue the everything that tries to holds fates' flimsy story together and i think she mostly does a great job for what shes got. i love love love how she has had two families that never actually loved her like a real family should and i think its neat that she eventually gets to find that kinship through corrin. i love her softness while she is still highly determined and sharp witted. when i first played i really related to how she felt the need to put the burdens of the world on her shoulders even if it (literally!) killed her. she really pulls off the princess from a fallen/destroyed kingdom thing with how well her writing balances the sadness and loneliness she's lived with for so long with how she is still a girl who is alive and has joy even if she forgets it sometimes. her scary stories she tells to sakura and her love of sleeping on a fluffy kitsune tail all humanize her and give her a depth a lot of the fates cast is missing. we love her we stan.

- wei wuxian: my beloved! ok first of all unpopular opinions r so easy with the untamed bc so much of the fanbase opinions r so fucking stupid lol but. he is canonically a genius. hes so smart!!!! and so deeply compassionate . he has a lot in common with flint black sails specifically s3-4 flint after he has met the maroons like he cares about people outside of the framework of the entire cultivator world he was raised in, which puts value on wealth and power and birth. and i really despise the characterization of him as like . totally oblivious bc even emotionally hes very aware of how his actions affect others. i feel like ppl tend to be either critical of him in a way that makes no sense (like saying he was selfish and uncaring for saving the wens in literally the only way he could) OR they claim to love him without rlly understanding where he is coming from. like there is a strong tendency to mistake his devotion for a lack of self esteem. which is crazy bc it's like yeah wwx is depressed as hell and doesn't value his own life but it's not because he thinks he's unlovable it's bc he has been brought up as a semi-servant in his own home taught that the only valid expression of his love for his siblings is servitude which of course translates to sacrifice. and then his character is just treated as a punching bag/projection board especially for white people who treat being lgbt and mentally ill as personality traits. ALSO u know i love lwj but lwj and wei wuxian's romantic relationship is EXTREMELY secondary to the themes of hierarchy, narrative, and power, and to his relationship with his siblings and the wen siblings. (in the show to be clear. all other forms r dead to me)

-rgu: hmm idk if this is unpopular but i hate hate hate seeing people engage w it on a surface level where it's like. ooh sword lesbians theyre in love when it's like . well first of all utena is about breaking free of cycles of abuse and exploitation and imagining a future outside of those totalizing narratives. and the whole point of the show is that utena CANNOT and should not be anthy's prince bc those roles and the power they carry cannot coexist with genuine love. when james baldwin said I use the word ‘love’ here not merely in the personal sense but as a state of being, or a state of grace—not in the infantile American sense of being made happy but in the tough and universal sense of quest and daring and growth, and when ursula k leguin said love doesnt just sit there like a stone it has to be made like bread remade all the time made new! in a lot of ways rgu is a direct rejection of romance and the idea of like true destined love that permeates so much of our ideas about relationships

it’s shitty if he’s actually bi and it’s shitty if he’s actually straight, because “public punishment for expressing a hint of bicuriosity” is fundamentally a social ill. this is a bad social environment for bisexuals even if travis mcelroy isn’t one, because bullying people online for dipping their toes into the pool (in this situation with tweets that were, i promise, identical in sentiment to ones that many people who have come to ID as bi have made) discourages questioning, discourages expressions of sexual fluidity, and discourages the kind of “i mean i’m not queer but i really love the queer community” home-finding that is so valuable for so many people. this is a bad social environment for *people in general*.

it’s also, and i can’t emphasize this enough, bizarrely personally cruel to make a person publicly apologize, as though he has done something wrong, for making an anodyne personal tweet about how he has an ickle crush on harry styles. treating ethically neutral things as ethical offenses worthy of punishment is *bad*, for individuals and for society. it’s apparently caused this individual to do some (imo utterly pointless) soul searching about how posting that you maybe kind of wish you were bi is attention seeking and therefore somehow wrong. this is depressing to me.

Okay so, I love she-ra as much as the next lesbian but as a nonbinary person i need to express that although she-ra gave us plenty of same sex relationships and healthy relationships with poc, it kind of shit on trans rep

one of our only canon trans character is double-trouble, who is nonbinary(like myself), and as far as rep goes, they are a stereotype, and not a good one. first off double-trouble is a villain, and not just by association but kind of by choice, double-trouble also only cares about money or saving their own skin(which is a problem since theyre our only trans rep). another issue is that double-trouble falls into the ‘nonbinary character is a non-human being’ such as an alien, robot, and in this case a lizard-like shape shifter

and the only other trans character we have is jewelstar, one of the star siblings, who is shown in one episode and never seen again(outside of a scene were we see him and his sisters fighting against the horde, but he never has another speaking role)

the purpose of this post is not to make you hate she-ra, and im not saying its bad if you like it, but it can be frustrating as a trans person to see people say how amazing the lgbt rep is in she-ra while ignoring the lack of decent trans rep in the show
