Uninterrupted Interruptions || Akira Kurusu x Reader
Word Count: 2.6k+ Pairing: Akira Kurusu x Reader Note: requested! i hope this is to your liking anon! reader is gender-neutral!
Akira considers himself a calm, and collected person. He is also very good at time management, considering that he has to balance being a leader of the Phantom Thieves, and being a good student. To others, he is a very admirable and confident person, with a cool exterior. And that might not be far from the truth, but boy, when he is with you. His thoughts are simply, "[Y/N], [Y/N], [Y/N], [Y/N]…"
He met you one day, as he was going through the halls of Shujin Academy. He was going around, gathering intel on Kamoshida, and then stopped by to grab a drink from one of the vending machines. Or atleast, trying to. His drink got stuck, and now he is down 130 yen. You saw the predicament he was in, and decided to help out.
"Hey, I'm sorry to interrupt, but do you need help?" You ask him, while slowly approaching him in hopes of not scaring him away.
He looked your way, and nodded. He rubbed the back of his neck, feeling sheepish.
You quickly went to the side of the vending machine, and gave it a large smack. Akira's drink successfully got unstuck, along with another drink.
"This vending machine is a little old, so you might find some of your drinks getting stuck from time to time. When that happens, just give it a small pat around here," you cheerfully tell him, "Although when you do that, you might also get a freebie. Don't tell anyone I told you though." You winked at him. He blushed a little, as he was handing you the other drink.
"For me? Are you sure?"
"Yes, think of it as a 'thank you'," he says with a smile.
"...and also a celebration of a new friendship!" You happily exclaimed.
And as the days go by, Akira makes sure he has time for you. You are one of the few friends he has ever made, and so he treasures you a lot. Until eventually, he realizes that he may be thinking more about you than a friend should. And that hearing your name makes him smile. And that whenever he hangs out with you, he tends to try to make it last longer. And that he-
"I think you are in love with them," Futaba said, smirking as she said it. Akira has just recently opened up about you to Futaba, who is like family to him. Kind of like the little sister he never had.
"Oh," was all he could say out loud. Futaba scooched down next to Akira, and gave him a pat on the head. Kind of like what he does to her.
"Don't worry! We can work something out!" Futaba encourages, and brings out her phone. "Do you know their schedule?"
"I... have no clue... " Akira's mood seemed to become more gloomy as this conversation went on. Futaba frowns, not used to seeing the flamboyant and kind leader of the Thieves being this low.
"What's wrong?"
"I just... I like them. A lot. I mean I can understand if they do not return my feelings, but what if they... start avoiding me?" Akira seemed genuinely downtrodden from that realization.
"I doubt that! You are an amazing person, Akira. Now come on! We have to plan your confession event!"
/./
As soon as school let out, Akira started practically dashing out the hallways to get to your classroom. He just caught as you were leaving.
"Ah! [Y/N]!" Akira semi-shouted, and his cheeks were tinted a light red from the realization as many students looked at him with annoyance. Ah, he is already embarrassing himself and he hasn't even confessed yet.
You gave him the most beautiful smile, and he swears he could melt into a puddle. But then if he becomes puddle, he will not be able to see your smile again. So maybe not a great idea.
"Akira! Hey! How are you?"
"I was wondering... Are you busy right now?"
"I am on my way to Big Bang Burger at Shibuya. I have to discuss the contents of my group project for next week."
"Oh... I see... How about tomorrow?"
"Ah! I have my club meeting tomorrow. It is really important so I can't skip."
Perhaps luck is not on his side right now. Or this is a sign that he should not go through with this? Akira's head lowers, as if in deep thought. You seem to notice how he is internally battling with his thoughts, so you try to snap him out of it.
"What about Saturday? I am free after school on Saturday." You bend a little, trying to meet his eyes. He seems to lighten up from the suggestion.
"That sounds good. Let's do Saturday."
/./
Saturday came, and Akira is nervous again. He tries not to show it outwardly. Ann still managed to sense it though. As soon as the bell rang, she turned around in her seat to face him. "Are you okay, Akira?"
He gulped, she noticed. "Of course I am," he smiles, and winks. It would've convinced a passersby, but Ann is no passersby.
"You know what, I think you are going to do great! If you want, Ryuji and I could hang near you so that you have moral support!"
Akira shook your head. "You don't have to, but thanks anyways."
"So what's your plan?" Ann stretched, while getting her things ready.
"Well, we will meet at the diner in Shibuya. But I will drop by the Underground Mall first to get them flowers. I also bought them a plush doll…" Akira started imagining your reactions once he gives those gifts. Will you like it? Will you give him a glimpse of your beautiful smile again?
"Aww! That's adorable! Futaba invited Ryuji, Yusuke, and I for a video game session. Makoto might come by too, so tell us all the deets when you come home, okay?" Ann finally stood up, and offered her friend an encouraging smile. Akira nodded and smiled back.
/./
The loud chatter, the sounds of utensils clashing against the plates, along with the faint sound of the music playing through the speakers did nothing to ease Akira's nerves. You are running a little late, because a classmate approached for help. Akira told you it was okay, and that he would gladly wait. And he meant every word.
But gosh, the thumping of his heart has not calmed down. It's as if the nervousness mashed with the fear of rejection and now he actually feels like he is becoming sick. He started playing with the tissues to let out some steam. He suddenly hears the sound of clearing their throat. He looked up and he swears he sees an angel.
"Hey Akira! Sorry for being late..." You looked like you were out of breath as you sat down across him. Did you run all the way here?
"It's alright. I already placed the order you texted me, it should come soon."
"Ah, thank you!" You smiled at him again, and he almost clutched his chest from the cuteness. Oh how he wishes to be held by you, forever in your warm embrace. And then he realizes he has not confessed and now the fear of rejection creeps up on him again. He shuddered.
"So, what's up with you? Sorry I've been so busy..."
"Ah... you know me. Trying to be a good student. Also branching out and making friends." He can't exactly tell you about the Phantom Thief business so he will just leave it at that.
"Aww... are you going to forget about me now that you have more friends?" You teased him, and he genuinely looked distraught.
"No! I would never. You are important to me." He handed you a box, and a bouquet of flowers. "This is for you."
You were taken aback. "Oh! I... was joking.. but you are important to me too.." You happily accepted his gifts, bringing the bouquet close to your chest and giving it a sniff. You sneaked a peek inside the box and saw a cat plush doll. "Thank you so much! I love these!"
Your order finally came, and you both went to eating. You told him stories about your daily life, and he gladly listened. He still working up the courage to confess, but for now he is happy just listening to you. It gives him a sense of normalcy, especially after the things he has experienced the past months.
He loves knowing he has made significant change in the world by making criminals confess their crimes, don't get him wrong. But he is still young, and the amount of things he has seen... Let's just say that sometimes at nights he has nightmares about it. Not to mention that he is wrongfully accused for a crime he did not commit. The world is messed up. This is especially why even something as simple as hanging out with your friend (crush) is something he cherishes.
When you both finished up, Akira started hyping himself up to confess. "So, um... [Y/N]. I have something to tell you."
You were grabbing your phone, but quickly put it beside you to pay full attention to Akira. "Yes? What is it?"
"You see, this past few months have been a little hard on me. But meeting you have made it bearable.. wonderful, even. I really cherish your friendship, and you mean a lot to me. So even if-"
And then your phone started ringing. Of course.
"Ah, I am so sorry! This is my classmate and they are asking about the project. It's kind of urgent as we have to finish it tonight since they might not be available tomorrow. Can you give me a few minutes?"
Akira blinked, "Yes. Go on."
Akira is in an all time low. Possibly an exaggeration, but with how the past week has gone, it might not be far from the truth. He pulls out his phone and messaged the Phantom Thieves' group chat.
Akira: why does the world hate me Makoto: Huh? What happened? Ryuji: u ok dude? Akira: NO the world hates me Yusuke: I don't hate you, Akira. Akira: thank Futaba: did they reject you? o _ o Akira: not yet but i think the amount of times im getting confession-blocked is a sign at this point Ann: That sucks. We are still at Leblanc if you want to hangout though?
He contemplated it for a moment, but he doesn't want to leave you. At the very least, he could walk you to the station just to spend some more time with you. It really sucks how the world is working against him at the moment though.
Maybe now is not the time to confess. He will just chalk this whole thing up to hanging out as friends.
You quickly came back after two minutes.
"Hey! I really am sorry if I am distracted right now.. Lots of things going on."
"It's okay, I understand."
"Do you want to check out an ice cream stall nearby? They are only open during the evenings and I have been really wanting to check them out! It's my treat of course."
"Sure, let's go." He offers to carry some of your things, and you lend him the lightest stuffs. He shakes his head and offers to carry your bag. You let him, and perhaps blushed a bit at the thought. You look like a couple. Wait a minute...
As you walked, you feel really bad for what happened at the diner. And for what happened the past week as well. The truth is, you missed Akira a lot. Your schedules never seemed to match, and just when he got free time, a lot of responsibilities are being placed on your shoulders. The life of a high school student...
"Akira, I am very sorry. I really am. I probably sound like a broken record but, the truth is I missed you these past days. And now I'm messing it up... You probably hate me now.." You walked with your head down, not finding the strength to look at Akira.
"That's not true. It's the opposite actually. And..." Akira hesitated for a moment but continued, "Ah... I told myself I wouldn't do it tonight."
"Do what tonight?" You raised your head to look at him, confused.
He held his breath, and exhaled. "I like you, [Y/N]. You are someone I cherish a lot. You have one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen, and the kindness you've showed me and other people makes me want to strive to be a better person as well. I love your cute little laugh, and the tiny gestures you do by yourself when you think no one is looking... I lik- no... I love you."
He stopped walking, and you did as well. Suddenly, the confident Akira you knew looked a bit... vulnerable and shy right now.
"It's okay if you do not feel the same way, I just... wanted to let you know and... I hope you do not avoid me after this. I am fine with just being friends."
"You... is that what the bouquet is for? And the plush?!"
"Yes... I honestly thought you would get it after I gave you those."
"I.. I! I thought it was just a friendly gift!!!"
"Red roses? The universal flower for confession of love?"
"Okay you know what! Enough! I..." You tried to stand up straight, as if to match your heights a bit. You exhaled a breath you did not know you were holding.
"... feel the same way."
"You... do?" Akira sounded genuinely surprised.
"Y-yes..."
He has the biggest smile on his face, and he feels so unbelievably happy on the inside. He would be jumping up and down right now, but instead decided to ask you, "Can I hug you?"
"What? Of course, you don't need to-" And suddenly you were wrapped up in the embrace of the one you loved. It was a place you never wanted to leave. It was like you belonged there.
"You still owe me an ice cream though."

A/N: Hello hello, thank you for the request! No need to apologize for the last request, it was totally fine! I absolutely LOVE these two soso much and I practically fell out of my chair when i got this request hehe~ Ryuji and Akira have my whole heart and I’m actually playing through Persona 5 again since we got a new console (our old one broke T_T) so i get to see all of my kiddos again! Thank you again for the request and I hope you enjoy! (im so sorry but i didn’t proofread this bc i was so tired when i finished so i apologize for any mistakes!! im going to get better about proofreading eventually i promise!!!)
Summary: Ryuji and Akira are hanging out at the arcade, which is busier than they expected.
Word Count: 1.6k (under the cut)
“Yo, Akira!”
Akira turned, barely able to process who was running up to him when an arm was thrown around his shoulder, nearly knocking him over.
“Hey, Ryuji,” Akira said, a small smile growing on his face as Ryuji beamed at him. He pulled Akira closer, laughing.
“So we’re going to the arcade, right? The one in Shibuya,” Ryuji asked, turning his head and looking around. “Isn’t Ann coming too?”
“She said she had a gig. She won’t be able to make it.”
Ryuji stuck out his tongue and blew a raspberry. “Well, sucks to suck. Guess we’ll have to have twice as much fun to make up for it!”
Akira chuckled, nodding his head. Ryuji dragged him along, the two of them walking to the station nearby their school as Ryuji gabbed about the different arcade games he was dying to play.
“Oh, and can I sleep over tonight? It’s the weekend, so I figured I should ask,” Ryuji said as they stood at the station platform, waiting to board the train as it slowed in front of them. They hopped on as Akira hummed in contemplation.
“I think Sojiro should be spending time with Futaba tonight, so I think it’s probably okay,” Akira said, standing next to Ryuji as they held onto the train handles. Ryuji silently cheered as Akira chuckled.
“So we’ll play at the arcade, grab a burger at Big Bang Burger, then head back to your place! Think Sojiro has any snacks lying around the cafe?”
Akira shook his head. “Not unless you really like to snack on carrots. He has a bunch of those for his curry.”
Ryuji stuck out his tongue. “Bleh… Carrots are good when Sojiro puts them in his curry, but not straight up.”
The two of them continued to chat as the train departed to Shibuya, where they arrived shortly. The two of them hopped off and went out into Shibuya, where they immediately went for the arcade.
“Whoa! It’s busy today, huh?” Ryuji said as he looked around. Akira nodded.
“I guess it’s because it’s Friday,” Akira noted, scanning for any free game. There were people on practically every arcade game, as well as some people waiting to play as they watched, chanting and jeering at whoever was playing. Ryuji whistled as he pointed towards the back.
“Dance Dance Revolution doesn’t look too crowded.”
“Ryuji, you know I can’t dance.”
“But we’re Phantom Thieves! You’ve got the reflexes, at least!”
Akira shrugged as he was dragged towards the back of the arcade, where another pair was finishing up on the Dance Dance Revolution game. They stepped off with a groan after witnessing their score. Ryuji and Akira quickly took up their spot, put some coins in, and selected a song.
“I’ll start it on easy,” Ryuji said, shaking his hands and feet in preparation.
The two of them danced around, Akira struggling as Ryuji got into it. They finished the song, and their score leveled out at average because of Akira. He shrugged.
“I told you I can’t dance.”
“Let’s try again! We get more points on the harder difficulty, so let’s try that!”
Akira nodded hesitantly, but Ryuji was already loading up the game with more coins. The song started, and Ryuji danced around with ease once more, even adding a few extra moves as Akira struggled to keep up. Again, their score was average.
“Okay, Twinkletoes,” Akira panted. “Let’s – Let’s do a different game.”
Ryuji nodded, noting Akira’s exhaustion. “What else is available?”
The two of them walked around again, looking for any unoccupied games. They were out of luck and decided to try Dance Dance Revolution again, only to find that a group of kids had surrounded it. Ryuji groaned in frustration.
“Urgh! How are we supposed to play games when everyone is using them?”
Akira pointed towards the photobooth. “I suppose we could do a quick photo session.”
Ryuji raised his eyebrow. “Aren’t you supposed to do photobooths with a date or something?”
Akira laughed. “I guess… But it’s the only thing available right now. Might as well get a memory of the time the arcade was so crowded that we could only play two rounds of Dance Dance Revolution.”
Ryuji sighed, but agreed. They walked up to the photobooth, slipped a dollar into the machine, and entered.
Together they were a bit cramped in the small booth, but Ryuji was immediately fascinated by the filters.
“Dude, there’s so many options!”
They eventually settled on a cyberpunk-style filter and began to pose for the four photos.
They started with funny faces. Ryuji pulled his mouth open and stuck out his tongue while Akira put his thumbs by his ears and showed off his teeth. They laughed for a minute after the camera flashed, then decided for a more serious one. They went back to back and made pretend pistols out of their hands like they were secret agents. The camera flashed again, then Ryuji laughed.
“We should do a model one like Ann!”
Akira choked on a laugh as they made model faces and held their faces in their hands. They cracked up as soon as the camera flashed, though they were already snickering before. For the last one, Akira suggested one.
“Have you ever watched Lion King?”
“Duh!”
“Pretend you’re Simba for this next one,” Akira said, grinning. Ryuji scoffed.
“Why am I Simba??”
“Because you’re blonde!”
Ryuji couldn’t argue with that. He stretched his arms out a bit and Akira started the timer for the photo. He stuck his hands under Ryuji’s arms just as the timer went off, but Ryuji screeched as the camera flashed. They both jumped, and Ryuji fell backwards onto Akira. Akira burst out laughing, shoving Ryuji off of him.
“What was that?” He cackled, waiting as the photobooth printed their strip.
“You tickled me, dude!”
Akira blinked. “Wait, you’re ticklish?!”
Ryuji stared at Akira, shaking his head. “No, no I’m not–”
“But you literally just said–”
“I’m not!!”
Akira grabbed Ryuji’s hips, making him shriek and jump. “You sure?”
“Yehehes! Very sure!” Ryuji snickered nervously, watching as Akira slowly began to wiggle his fingers. He squealed, curling up as Akira pinched at his hips. He tried to push him away, but Akira was persistent, tickling him playfully as Ryuji flailed around in the tiny booth.
“AHAhahakira! Nohoho, stahahap! Not thahahat, pleheheaseee!”
The photobooth spit out the strip of photos, but the pair didn’t even notice as Ryuji cackled, Akira’s hands traveling up his sides and towards his ribs.
“GAH–! Akira, I’m seheheherious! Oh gohohod, nohOHO!”
“Are you done in there?!” Someone called from outside the booth, having to shout to be heard over Ryuji. Akira halted, realized they had been in there much longer than they meant to, and pulled his hands away. He chuckled awkwardly as Ryuji caught his breath, leaning on him.
“Dude, look at the pics,” Ryuji said after catching his breath. His laughter renewed as he looked at how ridiculous the pictures were, especially the last one.
Ryuji was blurred and Akira looked terrified behind him. It hadn’t turned out at all how they expected, but ended up being the funniest one.
They quickly scooped up the photo and left the booth, and a group of girls entered quickly after them.
The two of them got some burgers at Big Bang Burger, which they could hardly finish. They went back on the train back to Leblanc, Ryuji dozing off on the train as the two of them sat next to each other. Ryuji used his bag as a pillow on Akira’s shoulder, who was scrolling on his phone until they reached their stop.
“Man, I’m wiped!” Ryuji said, stretching as he yawned. Akira grinned and poked his stomach, making him jump and gasp as Akira laughed.
“Couldn’t help it.”
Ryuji grumbled and the two of them eventually settled down in Akira’s room. Ryuji laid on a sleeping bag on the floor while Akira laid on his bed a bit above. “Do you still have the photos?”
Akira nodded, fishing into his bag next to his bed and then handing them to Ryuji. Ryuji chuckled softly again, glancing at Akira.
“You wouldn’t happen to be ticklish too, would you?”
Akira shrugged. “Probably not as much as you.”
“Hey!”
“You asked!”
Ryuji sat up, cracking his knuckles. “Well, let’s find out!”
“Ryuji, don’t–!”
Ryuji yanked Akira out of his bed as he yelped, breaking out into laughter as Ryuji scribbled his fingers all over Akira’s stomach. “Dohohohon’t!”
“Not as much as me, huh? You seem pretty ticklish to me–HEhehe! Wahahait, thahahat’s not fahair!”
The two of them rolled around on the floor as they fought for the upperhand, tickling at each other and laughing their heads off. Ryuji shrieked whenever Akira got close to his underarms, and Akira would curl up if Ryuji grazed his hips. Akira finally managed to gain an advantage as he got both his hands stuck under Ryuji’s arms, making Ryuji holler.
“Now wahahait! Cahahan’t we tahalk ahabout this?!”
“You literally started it, Ryuji!”
“Did nohohot–! Waitwaitwait, AkirahahaHAHA!”
Akira managed to get Ryuji’s wrist held above his head, clawing at his exposed underarm as Ryuji threw his head back and wailed. Akira chuckled with him, deciding to have a bit more fun.
“Do you want me to stop?”
“YEHehes! Plehehease!”
“Say I’m the best Phantom Thief and I will,” Akira drawled, digging into Ryuji’s ribs. Ryuji squealed and kicked his legs, immediately giving in.
“Yohohou’re the behest! Now stahaHAP!”
Satisfied, Akira stopped, quickly retreating to his bed before Ryuji could retaliate. Ryuji laid there for a few moments and then rolled slowly back over to his sleeping bag, panting.
“Again, not as much as you,” Akira teased with a grin. Ryuji only grumbled, claiming to be too tired to argue. “Mhm, too tired. Tired because I just tickled you to the Metaverse and back.”
“Snore… snore…” Ryuji said, his back facing Akira. Akira laughed at Ryuji, who wasn’t even trying to make a snoring sound.
“Goodnight, Ryuji,” He said, waiting a moment for a response.
“Snore.”

(You have such good taste tho-) can I get a Futaba (P5), Mari (Omori), Suki (Atla) and Akira/Ren (P5) with a S/O who plays a lot of video games and makes a lot of references to games that she likes! She is also like super peppy and high energy
thank you thank you I know I have great taste, especially in women. I mean have you seen the heathers?
Futaba
Power. Couple.
This girl is exactly the same as you
You two often make game references only for the rest of the group to sometimes just look like ???
Sometimes one of them gets it too and snorts or gives a chuckle
But both of you know every single one of each other and just die laughing whenever the other one makes a clever reference
In private she is just as energetic as you of course!
In public that’s a bit different
She’s a bit more reserved
But if you hold her hand she gets much more confident and still makes her silly jokes
Just a bit quieter than when you are with the rest of phantoms or alone
Also psa Sojiro loves you and is very happy you are getting his daughter to go out more
He has warned you with the old dad spiel, but you weren’t really impressed
After everything of the phantom thieves? yeah you’re good
Mari
Okay hear me out
Even though she loves your energetic nature
She doesn’t get any of the references you are making
She does research on the games you like though!
Even though she doesn’t entirely get them even after researching them
She still tries to remember quotes so she can make you happy with knowing them
If you show her your favorite games she would happily watch you play them
She loves it when you’re playing games on your laptop as she plays the piano
It’s calming to the both of you
And very funny
Just her playing a beautiful classical piece
And then suddenly in between it
“FUCK”
You both end up dying laughing
Sunny walks in on you both in confusion
The energetic one + the calm one
Great dynamic
She often rationalises your impulsiveness
Suki
Sooo with Suki just imagine it’s a modern au
Because to think of video games in the avatar universe is just weird
So college au fuckers
So I see her getting some of the references that you make
But not all of them
I feel like she isn’t really a gamer
I feel like she is more of a watcher
So game night dates? Yes
She plays more of the calm games
So just imagine you two cuddled up while playing animal crossing together
It’s cute af
Suki is real good with you energetic nature
Since she does martial arts
So she teaches it to you to let your energy out sometimes
Akira
The king of references
He’s quiet so he just gives you a look
You understand what he means
And just wheeze
And everyone around you just goes ???
“You okay y/n?”
“Yeah I’m good thanks-”
Also sometimes talking for him if people don’t pay attention
Like imagine everybody arguing about what the next step is
And Akira just standing there letting out a sigh because it’s not worth trying to speak over it
And then your energetic ass is just like
“EVERYBODY SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LISTEN TO JOKER MAYBE”
Everybody be shook
But they get used to it
Eventually
Oh well you’re sometimes his voice cause he’s so quiet, he loves you for it
He knows now to just give you a look and you know what he wants from you
You can do the same to him, and he’ll just do the thing you want him to do
This man has no shame okay?

Kuroo’s S/O is a Phantom Thief
Tumblr media
[Persona 5 x Haikyuu!!]
Tumblr media
A/N: asdfgh I’m sorry Haikyuu has just been taking over every corner of my mind. This is so self-indulgent, this is my own version of emergency requests because today was a sad day and I didn’t do so well on my quiz.😔 It’s been a while since I’ve refreshed a lot of my memory on P5 BUT IM STILL OBSESSED WITH IT , so apologies if I get anything wrong! This also uses Akira as the Protag’s name.
Warnings: This uses they/them pronouns as usual, but if you are familiar with P5 canon, it does hint that Kuroo’s S/O is afab because of how Kamoshida is and how he acts :// Also, especially if you aren’t familiar with P5, hints of harassment, violence, and sexual assault might come up until the bullet point “Now that the context is over.” There’s nothing explicit, but you guys deserve that warning!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s some ✨backstory✨:
He was probably just an huge fan of Kamoshida, your school’s volleyball coach and former Olympic medalist, growing up. So much so that he almost went to Shujin but ultimately decided on Nekoma in the end.
That’s probably how the two of you met. You were on your school’s vball team and your schools were having practice matches with one another. His eyes probably went 👁️👁️ while his brain went brrr when he first saw you and you spiked a ball in his face because he was too busy staring at you and your form to notice the ball come flying at his nose at 5000 mph. Like oh my god are you an angel. Your form is so fluid yet strong and your jumps take you so high--BAM!
You two ended up trading contact info as you took him to the nurse’s office and ✨the rest is history✨
Used to fangirl over Kamoshida every time he came to pick you up at your school and got you to introduce him. He got an autograph and hung it up in his room.
That being said he does think it’s kind of strange that Shunjin Academy has such a weak volleyball team. He’s like asdfghj he feels so bad for saying it, but some of your teammates get knocked back from a single receive and you get bruises all over? At first he thinks it’s because Kamoshida legitimately tries to work you guys to the bone and then as years go by you get more solemn and quiet about your team.
You do that stubborn Y/N Main Character Thing™ where you keep everything to yourself because you don't want to worry anyone and it drives Kuroo insane.
He’s the type that tries to take care of the people that he values (as seen when he nags/checks up on Kenma) and seeing you physically hurt or emotionally closed off would honestly affect him personally. He wants to help and he wants you to confide in him, but all he can do is nag you about taking care of yourself the moment you see him because you’re becoming more distant.
After a while, he thinks that it’s his fault because his parents’ history still affects him.
Then one day it comes crashing down when you come crying your eyes out to him that you’ve been kicked off the volleyball team because you fought back against Kamoshida and ran off and Kuroo sees red. He’s shaking with anger.
He’s a scorpio so of course all of his emotions are at full force when he hears you crying loudly on the couch after Kamoshida’s attempt and he’s split between wanting to commit murder on your former coach and comforting you.
You tell him everything: how Kamoshida abuses the team, how he always molests the girls, how he started out nice to you because of your skills but recently everything escalated and Kuroo’s heart just drops.
He says, “We need to tell the authorities!! Your principal!!” and that just makes you cry harder because no one would believe you and that your principal is already covering for Kamoshida.
Kuroo honestly thinks that he failed you because he didn’t do anything earlier. He was expecting something, but never took the first steps and he legitimately ties to make up for it by hovering over you the next few weeks.
That night he immediately rips up his Kamoshida autograph and throws it in the shredder.
He moves practice to an hour later to have time to pick you up and take you to Nekoma, he takes you straight to your home every night, and spends his weekends and free time with you. This was routine for several months until tournaments turn up and he has to regretfully spend time away from you.
Legitimately almost beat up Mishima because he was spreading rumors about you but you held your 188 cm cat back.
[One day he walks to Shujin and to your classroom because you weren’t at the gates waiting for him strangely? You turn around and he sees you with three other people which puts him on edge because after Kamoshida people in your school avoided you like the plague.
You just turn when you hear him open the door and you actually smile at him genuinely.
“Hey, Tetsu, this is Ann and Ryuji -- they’re victims of Kamoshida too. And this is Akira, the new kid. They’re my new friends.”]
Then you spend more time away from him while he busies himself with upcoming competitions and he swears that something’s up, but you’ve promised to be honest with him now and he’s too busy with the Nekoma team to really press it out of you. He’s going to “accidentally” hit  Kamoshida’s face the next time he sees him on the court.
And then Kamoshida voluntarily publicly admits to his crimes, resigns, and goes to jail and while he thinks it’s strange he celebrates with you.
Afterwards, Kuroo swears that you’re a new person. Not changed, but definitely different, and he doesn’t complain because you’re smiling again, and you feel more confident and free. As long as you’re happy and your abuser is behind bars, then he’s happy.
Now that the context is over.
He doesn’t think much of the Phantom Thieves. He just jokes around whenever people talk about them because he thinks that it’s things out of a fairy tale. Refuses to believe their existence for the longest time while Lev is like :oooo BUT THEY ARE REAL SENPAI!!
You even try to lay low by agreeing with him that they don’t exist.
Kuroo: why are kids nowadays talking about these edgy power rangers.
He feels very bittersweet when you get your new friends. In one hand, he tried very hard to have you get along with his team because in Shujin he knows that you struggled with making friends, but after you made your new friends -- which he’s happy for, he really is!! -- he can’t help but feel like you’re disappearing off the grid?
Like you’re a lot happier now, and he’s glad that your new friends are able to bring you this freedom, but you’re becoming more busy and he’s :(((
He suspects that something’s up though. One day he jokingly punches you in the arm and HIS FIST HURT. He thinks that you’ve been going to the gym without him and you could’ve been spotting each other this entire time.
He gets jealous of Akira the most. Like sure, you get along with the others really well and Ryuji makes you laugh and Yusuke is pretty, you said, but you gush about your team leader the most since he’s the most skilled and Kuroo inwardly feels :/// at the sound of you praising another guy.
You’ve been dropping a lot of dates to fight in the Metaverse and Palaces and so he feels very neglected. He’s mf’ing needy!! He needs attention!
You guys were already long distance and you’ve made it work so far, but as the Phantom Thieves became more popular as time went on, you spent more time with your friends. He misses you, but he doesn’t want to be seen as the possessive, clingy bf so he keeps his opinions to himself, especially since these were your first real friends in a while.
Your first big fight happened when you texted him that you were busy at a study group with your friends, but he just so happened to be in the Sangenjaya district for karaoke with the owl and cat teams and as they’re walking home he sees you emerge from the bathhouse with Akira laughing your asses off.
[”Hey, Kuroo, isn’t that [Name?],” one of his teammates say, pointing across the street at you with Akira. He gulps first and Kenma’s eyes worryingly flash to Kuroo before falling on your figure. Isn’t it suspicious that you were in a bathhouse with another guy after you said you were busy?
YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND IT WAS FOR THE SOCIAL LINK KUROO
“Guess you weren’t stressing over your physics exam, huh?” a voice suddenly says, beside you.
“Tetsu?”]
You guys ended up fighting all night, but it was getting late so per your rules that you established when you first started dating, you both said sorry to each other and went to bed. Yet, the doubt never leaves.
Honestly, after a while he does think that you might be a better match for Akira because you both lived in the same area, went to the same school, and were both terrorized by the same person. “Birds of a feather” and all that. He loves you but just wants what’s best for you 😢
He’s smart but...yeah. I’m gonna refrain from further comment. It’s that scorpio brain. He would never get that you’re a Phantom Thief until you clearly tell him.
It either comes out when you guys are fighting again and your relationship is on the line, or you either forgot another date with him and he walks into Leblanc to see you talking with your friends.
He tries to take your conversation outside, but you guys were discussing really urgent and couldn’t go with him, and then you guys start arguing in front of your friends and that’s ;;; awkward as hell. When it starts to escalate either you end up letting it slip that you’re a Phantom Thief or Ryuji.
You can practically see the !!!! on top of everyone’s heads when it comes out.
Everyone scrambles to talk over each other to cover it up but the damage was already done 😔
[Futaba: we can knock him out and pretend that he dreamed up the entire thing!!
Everyone: Futaba, no
Futaba yes.]
When it finally sinks in he’s embarrassed af ;;; like the entire time he was doing the provoking act on Akira and for what???
Then he feels relieved. He thought that you were bored of your relationship and that’s why you’ve been busier and distancing yourself.
Kuroo: thank god [Name] has just been fighting crime this entire time instead of wanting to leave me. 😊😊 (but if you did want to leave he would’ve let you go he’s not toxic!!)
Your friends were iffy about him at first, but he does prove himself to be a reliable person! They think y’all r so lovey-dovey it’s gross.
Ryuji: every time he steps into the room for [Name] I feel 10x more single.
If he hears other students of Nekoma try to talk trash about the Phantom Thieves, he’ll legit puff out his chest, walk up to them and go, “HAAAH? WHAT DID YOU SAY?? SAY THAT TO MY FACE.”
When you try to explain Palaces and Mementos he legit tries to argue with you 🙃🙃
Kuroo: BUT THAT DOESNT MAKE S E N S E WHERE’S THE SCIENCE BEHIND THIS. There has to be an explanation make it make sense!!
Damn he thought you were hot before now he thinks that you’re a literal GOD ON EARTH.
[You: [beats up a multi-millionaire in a Palace].
Kuroo: [tears up] real hot girl shit.]
Does your homework for you when you’re too tired after fighting Shadows all day.
He loves Morgana the most out of all your friends!! Because... he’s a not cat. Like c’mon.
In all truth, he’s so supportive of you!! Yeah, he was kinda disappointed that you didn’t tell him sooner, especially since he was there for you when it first started, but he truly understands your reasoning and why you kept it to yourself. He’s worried every time he knows that you’re going to fight Shadows, but can’t help but feel the sense of pride every time you come back to him.
Kuroo wants to gloat to his team that he has such a badass S/O so much, but every time he praises you he has to cut so many details out so he just sounds like a crazy person.

The Best Laid Plans (Are Not Thought of in Half A Second)
[a/n]: I finally wrote that hurt/comfort! This was supposed to be like 500 words but it got away from me.
Set vaguely in some period during Strikers before Zenkichi joins because I’m not that far into the game
TW: concussions, falling off of high places, descriptions of injuries that get healed via Persona magic
AO3
~
“Mine, mine, mine!” the High Pixie giggles, the desires it’s stolen floating around its head. The Phantom Thieves try to cut a path towards it, but the horde of other shadows just won’t stop coming. It doesn’t help that the cramped rooftops of the Shibuya jail don’t leave a lot of room to maneuver.
Yusuke grunts, parrying shadows left and right. Just when he’s cleared through enough of them to have a second to breathe, he spots a shadow lunging towards Ryuji, who's too busy fending off three other shadows to notice.
At first Yusuke tries to summon Goemon, but he’s met with a gnawing hole in his mind as he realizes he can’t remember how.
Forget spell, fantastic.
The shadow trips Ryuji with it’s baton, tripping him. It’s about to charge a spell, so Yusuke grits his teeth and runs forward to tackle it before it can get another hit in.
The good news is he does cause the shadow to stumble, and it’s attack just misses Ryuji.
The bad news is the shadow stumbles backwards.
Over the edge of the building.
And it pulls Yusuke down with it.
Yusuke feels the shadow dissolve right before he crashes into the ground.
Everything hurts.
Well, Yusuke thinks, struggling to force himself onto his back, at least the shadow’s dealt with.
Spots dance in Yusuke’s vision, and each breath is accompanied by a sharp pain in his chest. He thinks he can just make out the sound of someone screaming, but that might just be the ringing in his ears.
I think I’ll just wait for the others, is the last thought that crosses his mind before Yusuke passes out.
*
Ryuji just barely clocks Yusuke straight up tackling a shadow, and is about to thank him for the save when Futaba screams and Ryuji realizes:
Oh.
There’s no more roof there.
The battle seems to slow down as everyone stares at the part where Yusuke went over the side.
The first to move is the High Pixie.
“Mine!” it squeals, swooping down and scooping Yusuke up under one arm. He’s barely moves and is pretty banged up. “All mine!” The shadow starts to fly off, and that snaps the rest of the Phantom Thieves into action.
“Um, I think the fuck not.” Ann shouts, quick to wrap her whip around the shadow’s leg.
Sophia follows suit, using her yo-yos to help pull the shadow and Yusuke back towards them. The High Pixie pouts and with a flick of its hand launches the back with a gust of wind.
Ann goes down hard, and Morgana stays back to heal her while Akira starts leaping across rooftops after the shadow, Sophia, Ryuji, and Makoto right behind him. Unfortunately, the High Pixie is fast, and keeps. Eventually they’re stopped by another group of shadows and forced to deal with that.
“Shit,” Akira pants, once the enemies are taken care of and the High Pixie is nowhere in sight. “Oracle can you-”
“No. I can’t pick up the shadow or Yu- Fox.” Futaba says.
“...Alright, we’ll head back to the crossing and see if you can pick up a signal from there, or Mona can sniff out the desires.
Futaba nods stiffly, then starts walking away, fists clenched. Akira and Ryuji share a look, and Ryuji sprints after her. “You ok?”
“Nothing’s happened to me.”
“You know this place is huge, don’t beat yourself up for losing them.” Futaba keeps pushing forward and Ryuji jogs to stand in front of her. “Fox’ll be fine, ok?” he says, patting her on the shoulder.
Futaba stops. “I hope you’re right,” she mutters before pulling away.
They meet back up with Ann, Morgana, and Haru, and all head to the crossing.
“I’m picking up the desires!” Morgana announces. “I think the smell’s coming from Maruku City.”
They leap from car to car across the crossing until they’ve arrived. Once they reach their destination, Futaba perks up.
“Got it,” Futaba announces. “I think the shadow made a nest at the top of the keep.”
“Do you have a read on Fox?” Makoto asks.
“...Yeah.” Futaba says. “He’s not worse than he was before he fell, at least.”
“Good job Oracle,” Akira says.
“We should try and draw the shadow’s attention,” Makoto suggests. “That way someone can grab Yusuke while it's occupied.”
Akira nods. “Queen, you,  Panther, and Noir are with me. Once we have its attention, the rest of you guys grab Fox and get him out of the line of fire. Skull can take the lead.”
Everyone nods, then the two groups split up. Akira’s group sneaks around the base of the keep, out of sight. The High Pixie is floating around the top, pleased with itself. Once it’s in position, Akira shoots.
The High Pixie is instantly caught off guard, and before it gets the chance to call for backup, Haru follows up, knocking the shadow to the ground. While they go all out attacking the shadow, the others race up the steps of the keep.
.Pennants, broken decorations, a skateboard, some stolen desires, and a bunch of other random knick knacks are scattered around. Yusuke’s lying on the ground looking much paler than usual. Ryuji notices Futaba’s shoulders relax when Sophia and Morgana start to heal him up.
Yusuke’s eyes flutter open as the color comes back to his face. “Where...”
“You got nabbed by that shadow after your swan dive.” Futaba explains, kneeling down next to him.
“O...k…?” Yusuke starts to sit up, but Futaba stops him.
“Don’t. You’ll hurt yourself more.”
“Did you have to be so loud?”
“Excuse me? You do not get to complain about your rescue.”
Yuuske just groans, closes his eyes, and lies back down.
“Uggh. Stupid Inari. Mona, Sophie, heal him again so Skull can carry him.” Futaba says. They do, and Yusuke’s breathing starts to get better. Ryuji picks him up carefully,  and with some help from Futaba and Sophie, get Yusuke onto Ryuji’s back.
“My head hurts…” Yusuke mutters, laying his head on Ryuji’s shoulder.
“Well, that will happen when you dive over the side of the building.”
“‘S just… trying to help.”
“I know, and I appreciate it, but for now let’s get you out of here.” Not wanting to risk Yusuke falling off Ryuji’s back and taking another fall, they back head down the steps. More shadows have shown up while the others fought the High Pixie, so Morgana clears the way for Futaba, Ryuji, Yusuke while Sophie covers their backs.
Once they’re a safe distance from the keep Ryuji sets Yusuke down on the ground.
“Ok. You’re safe now.” Futaba says, taking a deep breath. “So seriously, what were you thinking?”
“Do you have to be so loud?” Yusuke mutters.
“I’m not being loud.”
“Are you sure?” Yusuke replies, squeezing his eyes shut.”My ears are ringing.”
“Oracle, step aside for a second?” Sophia asks. Futaba does, and Sophia neals down next to Yusuke. “What is your name and how old are you?”
“17 years old.”
“Do you know where you are right now?”
Yusuke blinks. “The… Shibuya Jail?”
“What year is it?”
Yusuke frowns. “I’m not…”
Sophia nods. “Ok, I’ve got it. Based on his symptoms, Fox has a concussion.”
“Concussion…” Yusuke repeats. “Alright, I’ll just take a nap then-”
“No sleeping!” Futaba snaps.
Yusuke winces.
“Sorry,” Futaba says, quieter. “But I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to sleep with a concussion.” She pulls out a soda and hands it to Yusuke. “C’mon, try and have something to drink.”
“Thanks.”
The sound of the High Pixie being defeated rings out, and soon enough the rest of the team joins them.
“Are you alright?” Haru gasps as soon as she sees Yusuke.
“Not so loud, please. Concussion.”
“Sorry!” Haru whispers.
“You’re fine.”
“He has a concussion?” Makoto asks, kneeling down next to Yusuke.
Sophia nods. “Most likely. He has demonstrated several symptoms, such as headaches, a ringing in his ears, dilated pupils, and disorientation.”
“Healing spells haven’t worked?”
“We’ve used a bunch and he hasn’t gotten better.”
“Could be because it’s a head injury, and those are weirder than just healing a cut or something,” Futaba suggests. “Or it could be that Yusuke was so banged up there’s a limit to what can be healed at once.”
Makoto sighs. “Fair enough, it’s not like we’ve ever had to treat a concussion in the Metaverse before. We should take him to a hospital.”
“Sounds good,” Akira says, watching the desires the High Pixie had stolen return to their owners. “We’re done here anyway.” He and Ann help Yusuke up, and they leave the Metaverse.
*
Several hours later, Futaba’s pacing is the only noise in the RV. “What is taking them so long?!”
They were crowding the ER, so Makoto stayed in the hospital to answer their questions while everyone else went back to the RV.
“Makoto said Yusuke’s gonna be fine.” Akira says, petting Morgana. “They just have to wait for Zenkichi.” According to Makoto, the doctor confirmed Yusuke had a concussion and should be observed for the next 24 hours, but they wouldn’t let him out of the hospital without a parent or guardian. So, they’d called up Zenkichi.
“Maybe it got worse somehow! That happens you know, someone looks like they’re fine, and then suddenly they’re not.”
“Futaba, there’s no need to get so worked up,” Haru says.
“You wouldn’t be saying that if you saw what I saw!” Futaba snaps. “Necronomicon showed me all of Yusuke’s vitals, I knew exactly what happened to him after he fell. He broke pretty much everything.” Futaba shudders. “One nudge in the wrong place and a rib could pierce a lung or something, if that hadn’t happened already. He had a hip fracture too, do you know how bad those can be? He might never have walked again before Morgana and Sophia healed him, and even after all of that he wasn’t even healed all the way! If we hadn’t gotten there in time-”
Futaba pulls off her glasses and wipes her eyes.
“Futaba,” Ann says, pulling her into a hug. “It’s gonna be ok. Yusuke’s walking, he’s breathing fine, and he just needs to rest, ok? We were able to find him quickly because you picked up his signal.”
“Not to mention you stopped him from hurting himself more when we found him.” Ryuji adds. “Yusuke’s gonna be fine, and he’s gonna be fine because you were there to help him. We just gotta hold on, ok?”
“I didn’t realize I worried you so much, Futaba.”
Everyone turns to see Yusuke, Makoto, and Zenkichi standing in the doorway.
“Yusuke!” Futaba pulls away form Ann and grabs a bag from the hospital gift shop. “That was so stupid of you,” she says, pushing a “Get Well” Mothman plush into Yusuke’s arms.
“Sorry.”
“Well, I mean, you did save Ryuji’s butt so you don’t have to be too sorry.”
“Yeah dude, I totally appreciate that,” Ryuji agrees.
“I just wished you saved him using your Persona instead of, you know, yeeting yourself off a roof.” Futaba points out.
“I couldn’t, I was hit with a forget spell.” Yusuke pouts.
“You could've used your gun.”
Yusuke doesn’t say anything.
“Did you seriously forget about your gun?”
“I forgot we were on a roof, Futaba, clearly I forgot about a lot of things.” Yusuke says, hugging the Mothman plush defensively. “I’m really sorry though. I tried to help and only created more problems for all of you, and now you’ll be shorthanded-”
Morgana jumps onto the table in front of Yusuke. “Hey none of that. Let us worry about you for a few days, ok?”
“Yeah dude,” Ryuji says. “I say, let’s just blame the shadow and it’s weird desire to hoard things, and go out to eat instead.”
“Um, maybe a loud, bright, busy, restaurant isn’t the best place to take the concussed teenager?” Zenkichi points out.
“Good point,” Makoto says. “Guess you can get us take out then.”
“Are you-” Zenkichi sighs. “Fine, alright. What do you want?”
“I could go for some yakisoba,” Yusuke says.
“I want sushi!” Morgana adds.
“I’m feeling like nikuman, actually,” Haru adds.
“You know what? Just text me your orders,” Zenkichi says. “Call if you need anything else. But you kids stay safe ok? I have no clue what happens when you do your whole... thing , but you know, don’t get yourselves killed?”
“Gotcha!” Akira says.
Once Zenkcihi leaves, Futaba turns to the group. “Now, it’s on to Operation: Take Care of Inari.”
Yusuke looks up from his Mothman plush. “You don’t have to do that, I can handle myself.”
“Nope. Part of being on a team means you have to put up with us looking after you.”
The rest of the Thieves nod in agreement, and Yusuke sighs. Looks like there’s no fighting this.
“Fine,” he says, smiling.
They eventually agree on settling down to watch a movie— Yusuke’s choice— and eat their dinner on the floor of the RV in the middle of a large pillow fort.
“Thank you..” Yusuke says under his breath, leaning into his blanket and his friends’ warmth.

Phantom Thieves of Hearts in KNB
This is part 3 for Murasakibara only! Part 2 and part 1 for other KNB characters are right here and here, respectively!
Persona 5 x Kuroko no Basket crossover
[Murasakibara x s/o reader]
Headcanons on how KNB characters find out you were a member of the Phantom Thieves + what they do afterwards
@akichan-th i remember how you wanted a murasakibara h/c and i spent a while thinking LOL
Warning: spoilers regarding the palace’s deadline after 10/11 and the subsequent events shortly after
Tumblr media
Murasakibara Atsushi
in this headcanon, the PT is located in either Yosen high or any nearby schools in Akita, since it’s a 7 hour drive minimum from Akita to Tokyo (the main location of the PT, Shujin Academy)
you and Murasakibara have been dating for a few months
very casual, easygoing relationship between the two of you where you two give each other space if needed and cuddle (while snacking, of course) other times
so your Phantom Thief life remained secretive and very manageable to keep under wraps, especially since he just never saw the need to poke and prod through your business if you never bring it up yourself first
as long as you gave him cuddles and snacks, he didn’t have a problem; he knew you were a good person too, so he had no reason to doubt you
“(y/n)-chin,” he childishly demanded. “I wanna cuddle.”
“Ah..! I’m so sorry, Atsu!” you gave him an enveloping hug as an apology. “But not today, I have lots of work to do for school…”
you gave him a regretful look, and while he was pouting and whining for snacks, he eventually let you go out of his ginormous arms
he might be a childish person and have lots of clingy tendencies/demands, but he’s still reasonable in letting you carry out your own life
. . .
“Ready to explore the palace?” Futaba waves you over, with the other hand grasping her phone that already had the metaverse app opened and ready to be activated
“Yup,” you heaved, after jogging briskly for several minutes to the hideout
Ryuji: “Alright! All set!”
Haru: “I’m still a little nervous…”
Ann: “Don’t worry, Haru! We’ll make sure to change his heart!”
. . .
“Humpf,” Murasakibara huffed, blowing his hair strand off his face for the umpteenth time as his chin was propped on the table, his biscuits left mostly forgotten a few feet away
“You’ve been sighing a lot, Atsushi.” Himuro peered over from his book to see him moping. “What’s wrong?”
“(y/n)-chin isn’t here,” he grumbled
“That can’t be helped sometimes, you know.”
“I knooow,” he drawled before sighing again
“What are all these snacks lying around for? Aren’t you going to eat them?”
“They’re for (y/n)-chin, obviously.”
“Staring holes into the Hi-Chew packages isn’t going to summon them over. Come here, we can use the kitchen and maybe fix you up a quick appetizer to take your mind off of this.”
“O-kay.”
the next subsequent day, Murasakibara was clingier than normal, even went as so far as to initiate PDA by holding your hand when walking in the hallways and draping himself all over you during breaks
and yes, he fed you those snacks he saved for you from yesterday
Murasakibara honestly thought this was going to be a one time thing where you were busy, but since you were working on Okumura’s palace before the deadline, you had to always leave every day, or at least every other day, to finish the palace exploration
you initially went to the palace with the PT every day, but after seeing Murasakibara’s sour moods during school and being really grumpy over you not spending time with him, you opted to tell Joker that you would settle on coming every other day instead
Murasakibara still had some reservations about the changes in your “after school” activities that didn’t involve him by your side, but at least he knew you made the effort to try to be with him as much as you could, even though he could see how important these “activities” were to you
so for now, he was content enough with the way things are
until several days later, when he was about to approach you after school, after finding you in a secluded corner of the campus outside (it wasn’t hard to spot you with his height), he tried to approach you when he overheard your hushed conversation on the phone:
“Yeah… got it… mhm… I’ll be there at Leblanc… yeah, it wouldn’t be a problem, I hope. I should be free this evening, Akira. Wait for me, okay?”
Akira? Who was that?
Murasakibara stood there, frowning as he was processing your words and the possible implications from them, and for the first time, he felt doubt
while he was lost in his thoughts, you hung off the call, and went to look for Murasakibara, and in immediately spotting the tower of your boyfriend, you ran to him
“Atsu!” you cheerily called, and it immediately snapped Murasakibara out of his thoughts to face you (more like looking down)
“Atsu,” you said, squeezing his torso in a hug and nuzzling him. “I gotta go again… But I’ll make it up to you, I promise!”
and as you backed up from Murasakibara to start jogging to your destination, you yelled out, “I’ll bring lots of food tomorrow for lunch!”
a small hiss in the back of his mind concluded that you were possibly seeing someone else; the fact that you constantly canceled a lot of plans with him just for these “activities” already gnawed at him
in his laziness dread, he opted not to follow you at all and immediately went to look for Himuro
“Muro-chin, what does it mean when someone is always busy?”
“Is this about (y/n)-chan again?” Himuro chuckled, not missing the way how Mursakibara was even more sullen than usual
“Che.”
“Maybe you need to talk to them yourself, Atsushi,” he hummed, walking slightly ahead of the giant. “You can’t constantly rely on me for all your decisions.”
“Maybe they’re just sick of eating snacks with you 24/7,” Fukui popped up between them. “Have you ever even been on a proper date with (l/n) before??”
“(y/n)-chin isn’t like that…” he grumbled vehemently, but it was totally obvious that he was hesitant
the next day, you came to school like nothing ever happened, your face bright as you held a cloth loaded with bento boxes, and Murasakibara decided to try Himuro’s advice to “talk to you”
“(y/n)-chin, you like me, right?” he propped his chin on your head
“Huh? Of course I do, silly,” you beamed up at him, and Murasakibara, right there and then, lost the will to question you any further, and he felt the doubt washed away
he figured this whole ordeal must’ve been just his imagination and he chided himself for doubting you like that when you always gave him amazing food and told him when you were free and whatnot
scratch that, when school finished for the day, you were ready to bounce out again with another excuse
his doubt came back and just multiplied tenfold
you felt really guilty, leaving your boyfriend in the dust constantly
you hadn’t anticipate this would happen, no; Okumura’s palace unexpectedly became a lot harder to deal with in the deepest areas, especially with the constant puzzles in the maze to sort through
and you knew he wasn’t a stupid person to overlook your behavior despite his oblivious surface, but even though you knew you couldn’t tell him your secret life, you tried to make him feel better in the only way you knew how: give him food
but there’s only so much food could do to appease Murasakibara before enough was enough for him
so while you ran out from campus again for the umpteenth time, Murasakibara decided to put his laziness to the side and follow you for once
okay but to outsiders, it totally looked like this grown ass man child giant was stalking a little, unsuspecting you
you made a sharp turn before slipping into a quaint coffee shop, and Murasakibara made the connection to the phone call after seeing the shop sign “Leblanc”
he was already jittering inside from nerves, but now he’s agitated
If he walked in, was he going to see you with another person?
he gave a slow sigh before stopping before the door and opening it as he ducked in the doorway
a soft jingle from the door’s bell announced his entrance and everyone in the shop (including you) stopped their conversations midway and turned their attention to the newcomer (whose shadow from standing at the door blanketed the entire shop interior)
Ryuji: “Huh? Can’t you read? Shop’s closed.”
Makoto: “Ryuji! Can’t you just be nice?—I’m sorry, please don’t mind his manners, but he is right that we’re not open as of now…”
“(y/n)-chin came in here.”
Ann: “A-ah! Well, yes they did! But uh, they’re a sweeper and is training to be a waitress—”
you jabbed Ann’s side with your elbow with a “shhh” before you got up from your seat to walk to Murasakibara
“Atsu, what are you doing here?”
“I came here to ask you the same thing, chibi-chin.”
“(y/n) is working here as an apprentice to be a coffee barista under the owner’s tutelage along with the rest of us,” Joker said, getting up from his seat to walk towards Mura as well
“Akira…” you turned to Joker
not only was this man on a first name basis with you, but he was the Akira from the phone call
Joker could suddenly sense a huge spike in a hostile aura emitted by the purple-haired titan
Murasakibara suddenly pulled your arm into his chest and wrapped your waist from behind, all while glaring at the ravenette
“(y/n)-chin is mine.”
there was a collective silence before everyone started shouting in disbelief
“I didn’t know you dated anyone, (y/n)!!” “That’s sooo cute!!” “How long were you with him?” “What a wonderful thing to experience, (y/n)-chan!” “Mwehe, got any dirt on (y/n)?”
Joker just gives a smirk to the two of you, which you knew he meant that he was gonna make some comments and jokes on your relationship from this point on
No wonder you couldn’t come everyday to do a palace run.
“Ugh, seriously?? How the hell did (y/n) find someone before all of us? I mean, I thought being a Phantom Thief would’ve made me more noticeable to girls—”
“Ryuji!!”
“Oh… uh—”
everyone in the PT gang turned to Murasakibara to gauge his reaction:
he just had figurative question marks and clouds floating over his head as he continued to embrace you from behind
“Fan… tom… Thief?” (you inwardly sighed in relief and amusement at his reaction)
“It’s a group activity we have to do often,” you hurriedly explained. “Like… D&D role-playing gaming, and plus we all do it together after we finish doing barista work… together, but it’s kind of… embarrassing, so that’s why we’re all doing this rather secretively. So… could you keep this to yourself too?”
“O-kay.”
“Yeah, so sorry again, Atsu, but could you leave me to my own devices for the evening again?...”
“No, I don’t want to,” he replied, squeezing you even harder with his arms as if daring you to try to escape from him, and you shot glances at your team members to help you out (they looked at you as if this was all yours to deal with)
“Atsuuu,” you turned to face him while still being in his arms. “Other than this group activity, you’re still my number one priority, you know?” and you tippy-toed up to his face to give him a sweet peck on his lips
choruses of fangirling and groaning ring out again
“I guess I’ll leave you be, (y/n)-chin,” Murasakibara said indifferently, but you spied a small smile on his lips
being relieved that you weren’t going behind his back to see someone was an understatement; in fact, he was giddy that you were so forward with him in front of a large group of your friends
true to his word, Murasakibara never mentions a peep of the “Phantom Thieves” again to anyone (other than with you sometimes when you two are alone)
although he merely thought it was just a type of extracurricular/club activity of some sorts, he did ask Himuro (and a nearby nosy Fukui) if they knew what the “Phantom Thieves” were
“I’m surprised you only heard about them now,” Himuro replied. “There’s tons of popular merch of them and everyone is so hyped up that they’re pretending to be the Phantom Thieves themselves and trying to hand out ‘calling cards’ to other students.”
Fukui popped up in hearing the “Phantom Thieves” with a collection of calling cards of his own and bragging about how he had to go through extensive means to obtain the “limited edition” card
so you were just fans of these famed superheroes and role playing it with your other friends? he guess it could be embarrassing for you enough to try to hide this from him
Mura always walks you to Leblanc and then leaves home for the day, but sometimes, Sojiro invites him in (when nobody is doing PT business) for good plate of curry and soba
Murasakibara loves the old man and his cooking
he’s grown somewhat close to your PT friends, particularly Ann, Makoto, and Haru; Ann has a massive sweet tooth like Mura, so she would often give him extra sweets she bought from a dessert shop, meanwhile Makoto and Haru are like mother-figures (strict and doting, respectively) to him (sort of like Akashi and Himuro)
if you didn’t give into his whining for a particular something, he’d turn to Makoto or Haru to try to persuade you in giving in (may or may not work)
he’d probably will not think much of the “PT” business for the longest time, even when the Okumura news break out, because he doesn’t think they’re real to begin with (oh, he would believe the murder is real, but the perpetrator being the “PT” he thinks would be the media over-exagerrating and just giving any anonymous killer at large the term, “PT”)
as long as he wasn’t directly affected, he’s not someone to worry about the needless things
when things were getting dire for the PT, you actually isolated yourself from Murasakibara as well as the Yosen basketball team, not because you hate them, but because you didn’t want to drag them into legal matters with the police by association with you
you cursed yourself for being careless and letting your boyfriend hang out with the PT because someone’s bound to see a giant kid lurking in and around Leblanc at least once
Murasakibara thought he did something wrong and would tried to get your attention, but every time he did, you would expertly avoid him
he even left so many snacks at your desk hoping for you to accept them :((
one day, you finally went up to Murasakibara when you were absolutely sure you were alone with him, and before he could say your name and be elated that you were in front of him again, you coldly said:
“I want to break up.”
the usually apathetic guy would widen his eyes in complete shock and fear; the first thing you said after not talking to him in weeks were… that?
“(y/n)-chin… why? (y/n)-chin! Talk to me...”
It was for the best… you never wanted to ruin his future and his basketball career just by being near you
you feigned indifference and tried turning around to walk away from him, struggling to keep your face from being tear-stricken
“(y/n)-chin!” Murasakibara released a bellow you never heard unless he was playing aggressively on the courts, before he forcefully tug your arm to spin you around
there you were, failing to keep your true feelings hidden as you started sniffling and then full blown sobbing the longer your boyfriend stared at your face in full worry
“Here…” he pressed your face into his shirt as he hoisted you up from your knees, and he walked home with your legs around his waist, crying your eyes out from the stress and fears you’ve felt haunted by lately (“Stop crying, (y/n)-chin, it’s annoying” he would say as he rubbed your back)
as soon as he puts you down on a couch in his living room, you knew he meant business when he had a serious look on his face that meant “Talk now.”
you bit your lip in apprehension and in seeing that, Mura grabbed a few snacks from the cabinets for you before settling next to you again
and you confessed the entire truth to him, sniffling and hiccuping as you struggled to enunciate your words while stuffing your face with cream biscuits
“Is that all?...” Mura tilted his head. “You obviously didn’t kill him, so why are you worried?” he munched on his next package
“Atsu, it’s not that simple, you—”
“I know, I know.” he ruffled your hair before pulling you close
“Just stop crying,” he mumbled into your head
and you felt safe for the first time in a couple of weeks
the Phantom Thieves will overcome this, definitely.
“Don’t break up with me, (y/n)-chin,” he said out of nowhere, pouting and sulking at your figure
you busted a huge laugh, the very sound he missed hearing from you for so long
“I wouldn’t dare, Atsu.”
bonus: sometime in the future, you brought over an overly-curious Murasakibara to mementos with everyone, and there, he finally hears Morgana speaking for the first time. Afterwards, he’s best friends with the cat, taking him everywhere he went whenever he did errands or snack-shopping and ignoring the questioning gazes from strangers as he talked to the said cat like it was a normal thing. Both love to eat sashimi together.

Ryuji Sakamoto(p5) X masculine!bigender!singer!reader
_____
"Yo! Futaba, Akira! want to come with me to a concert?"
Futaba glanced at him and teasingly said "And how are you going to pay for the three of us, Hmm?~" Akira nodded looking interested but confused.
"Oh shit, umm. Well my lover is in the band.. they said I can come in free with some friends if I wanted. Just gotta say my last name apparently. So ya in or not?"
Akira and Futaba looked at each other then at Ryuji. "Ohh~ someone has a girlfriend~" they said almost perfectly at the same time, like the creppy twin ghost girls in the film you'd rather not think about.
"What the hell! Sometimes you guys freak me the hell out!" Sakamoto said while feeling a shiver run down his back.
"They.. they're not my girlfriend. Now stop teasing me and answer my question, god dammit!"
"I don't like being in big crowds remember? Ugh! Uff. I'll go if Akira goes. What do you say Aki!"
"Hmm, sure.. I'll tell sojiro that I'll be out with some friends. Glad his letting me use the attic again. I really enjoy seeing my friends again." Akira said with a smirk.
"Yeah, dude! I'm glad that we can all hang out again. Tho Yusuke is pretty busy now a days."
"Mhm" Futaba and Akira nodded.
"So ya guys know. The concert is tomorrow. I'll text you guys the time and place." Ryuji Said taking out his phone and typing. "Alright they ya go!'
"Sounds good." Futaba nodded.
"Futaba. You hacked the website to see how many tickets where sold. Right?" Ryuji asked suspiciously.
"Hihi! You know me so well. Yeah I did. Man am I glad there won't be thousands of people. From what I see only 452 tickets were sold with us it'll be 455 people. They are a pretty new band. Right?" Futaba asked.
"Yeah they are. I'm glad you'll finally meet them. It'll be cool." Ryuji Said with a grin.
Akira yawned and said "see you tomorrow." Waving goodbye.
"I'm off too. See ya, Ryu!" Futaba Said while waving goodbye.
(Time skip)
___
At the train station. Akira waited for his friends. Looking at his phone, texting Ann to pass the time. A few minutes go by and Akira feels an arm around his shoulder and a "Did ya wait for us for long? Hopefully not! But we're finally here!"
Futaba smiled awkwardly. "I slept through my first alarm. Glad I put a second one just in case last night."
Akira nodded at both of them in acknowledgement. "Don't worry. I wasn't waiting to long. Now let's go." He said while walking towards the bus."
"Alright!" Ryuji Said excitedly.
___
(Time skip to there destination!)
Once the got out of the station and towards the streets, Futaba and Akira were surprised to see that a park Next to the stadium was so packed.
"Wait.." Sakura Futaba Said. "Is this consert you were talking about being held in that park?"
Ryuji laughed and shook his head. "Nah, the park is just used as free parking space the open stadium right next to it is were to consert is happening. Cool right!"
Futaba checked her phone nervously. "Shoot.. there's a lot more tickets sold then there were yesterday... Seems like about 987 people are going to be in there.. I feel a little nervous... That's way to many people.."
Akira put a hand on her shoulder and said. "You'll be fine. We're here with you and you've gotten much better at being in crowds now, then you were in the past and this will be fun. Alright?"
Futaba took a deep breath and nodded her head. "It'll be fun." She said as if trying to calm her nerves. Even though it was slowly but surely engulfing her with self doubt. She took in a deep breath in through her mouth and exhaled through her nose then nodded. "Ok! What are we waiting for! Let's go."
Ryuji smiled widely and shouted. "Hell yeah!"
___
At the entrance a tall man stood up right and said. "Tickets please."
Ryuji nervously stammered out. "I'm Uhh. Ryuji Sakamoto..."
The Man took of his glasses and took out his cellphone. Looking through it, He nodded and his blank face had a small smile. "I see. Your the guy. Nice to finally meet you in person. You look a lot like me when I was younger." He said with a hearty laugh.
"Oh? Are those two back there with you?" The smiling man ask after his laughter calmed down.
"Ah, yeah, (y/n) Said I could bring some friends." Ryuji Said while scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
The man nodded and put his shades back on. "Very well. Go on in. I'm sure (y/n) while be happy to see you. The man said with a grin and a thumbs up.
Futaba tilted her head with a confused grin. "(Y/n)-san? Hmm? I'm interested in meeting them~" she said teasingly. Ryuji blushed slightly but shook his head. "Shh...Shut it..." Ryu said quietly.
Futaba grinned at Ryuji then looked at Akira in a way that Akira knew to well. She wanted him to join in to the teasing but the light shake of his head showed her that he wouldn't. "Boo. It was fun while it lasted. Oh well." Once in the stadium Futaba quieted down and stayed in back of Akira.
Akira walked to the front of the stadium and saw little people there a guard walk up to him and smiled like hi know him. "Ah, Ryuji-kun I see you made it to the concerts! (Y/n) told me you'd be here and you brought friends I'm sure my nephew will be ecstatic to meet more of the people in your life." The man said with a big smile
"Oh, shoot... I can't believe I forgot. Yoo. You were really awesome when we first met. (Y/n) Said your like a father to him. It's so cool to see ya again. Ryuji Said enthusiastically.
The man laughed warmly. "You're as enthusiastic and energetic as you were last time, kiddo. I'm glad to see that. You've really brightened up our lives." He said as he ruffled Ryuji's hair.
Ryuji face flushed "Thanks but I don't know about that." He said while rubbing the back of his neck.
"You don't give yourself enough credit, kid. Now go on the musics about to start. Enjoy yourselves!" The man said as he motioned them to the front.
---
Your p.o.v
You walked up with your band mates to the stage you looked around happily not thinking you'd get such a big crowd as your band was still quite unknown and underground. Once you finished scanning the back you looked at the front and your eyes meet with the ones of your boyfriend and with a huge grin on your face you winked at him.
--
"Alright everybody! Are you ready! I've been keeping this song for a bigger crowd and here you are! This song's called 'parents'." You looked at your friends aka bandmates and nodded to them, then you looked back to the crowd and started singing.
--
I was born in a messed up century
My favorite flavored sweets are raspberry amphetamines.
I bought a car, Beretta age sixteen,
I brush my teeth with bleach
'Cause I ain't got time for cavities.
My daddy put a gun to my head
Said if you kiss a boy, I'm gonna shoot you dead.
---
You sang the last part with emphasis, anger and sadness clear in your tone.
---
So I tied him up with gaffer tape and I locked him in a shed
Then I went out to the garden and I f*cked my best friend.
---
As you sang this phrase you grind and with more confidence in your voice.
---
'Cause my high hopes are getting low
Because these people are so old.
The way they think about it all.
If I tried, I would never know.
My high hopes are getting low.
But I know I'll never be alone
It's alright, we'll survive.
'Cause parents ain't always right
---
You nod to the beat, you feel these lyrics to your core. Sad, anger and hope for a better future.
___
Akira and Futaba where amazed by your voice and looked at Ryuji.
"His voice is good. Is he a friend of your lover? The girl on drums is really good too. Is she the lover you were talking about?" Futaba ask curious with a slight teasing tone.
Ryuji shook his head cheeks flushed. "Actually. The singer. Umm. They're my..."
Futaba and Akira looked at each other and grind. "Ohhh~ Ryuji has a boyfriend~"
"Shhh! Shut it guys, not so loud.." Ryuji was so much redder now. His expression was one of annoyence but the dark Scarlet blush on his face made it a lot less threatening.
Futaba and Akira chuckled finding they're friend's reaction quite cute.
___
Once the first song ended, y/n uncle went up to Ryuji with a smile. Y/n wanted you to be in front stage for this song. If you'd like you and your friends can come back stage. My nephew wanted to hear your thoughts on the song for your mouth. You're thoughts and opinions really matter to them.
Ryuji nodded at the man infront of him. Y/n is using they/them today right?
The man smiled at Ryu fondly. His going by either today, son.
"Ohh~ he called you his son~" Futaba Said with a giggle. "Oh? I've never known that one person can use they/them pronouns? I like that! But I also like she/her..." Then her eye grew wide with excitement. "I think I'll go by she/they from now on!"
Akira smiled at her. "As long as it makes you happy, I'm happy, sis."
She nodded happily to his response then loudly said. "Let's go back stage!"
With y/n uncle leading them to the backstage entrance. The got in with no problems.
___
You're p.o.v
Once you and your bandmates presented the next band they walked into the backstage lounge area.
The first person you saw was your uncle. You leapt into his arms and hugged him tight, smiling brightly. "Did you like it! I'm so happy to finally sing my completed song to you and Ryuji!"
Your uncle smiled back at you and nodded. "Of course I liked it. You always put so much personality in your songs. I know that they come from the heart."
You nod back at his response hugging him tighter before walking up to your boyfriend. You smirked at him and ask him.
"How'd you like the song, lover boy~" you said in a whisper next to his ear.
Ryuji's face flushed a soft shade of pink looking away while rubbing the back of his neck.
"It was really cool. I did hear this one before.. umm. Man.. stop looking at me like that... It's hard to concentrate.
Your grin became wider you look at the two behind your boyfriend. The red head looked amused by Ryu's reaction while the other looked curiously at the scene before them. I decided I would tease ryuji a bit. Walking closer to him I wrapped my arms around his bottom waist, putting a hand in his back pocket and leaned my head to the side. "What do you mean, baby?~ Why so shy all of a sudden?~" You let out a low chuckled as the pink on your boyfriend's cheeks got redder then a tomato. With that you said under your breath. "Cute" as you held him closer for a second then taking a step back.
You and ryuji heard a squeal and
looked at the two teens. The red head smiled widely. "You guys are so cute." Once she felt both you and ryu's eyes on her, she grabbed on to Akira's arm. "Don't stare at me like that..."
Akira look at you and said. "It's a pleasure meeting you. I'm glad to finally meet ryuji's lover. I'm pleased to see my friend so happy." Akira smiled and bowed.
Your cheeks turned a rosy pink at that and smiled. "I'm happy too. Ryuji has really brightened up my life. Even if he thinks I'm just trying to be cheesy, it's the truth. I really love and care for him." You say. "Oh! How rude of me. Let me introduce myself properly. "I'm (l/n) (f/n) it's a pleasure to meet friends of my dear ryuji."
Akira look surprised for a minute then smiled. "I apologized as well for not introducing myself earlier. I am Akira and this is" he lifts his arm a bit then continues "Futaba my adopted sister" she waves, the mischief in her eyes from earlier was replaced with shyness but slowly but surely her shyness was fading.
Ryuji smiled at the people around him. Happy to see his friends getting along with his lover.
Your bandmates tell you that you'll be going back on stage in 6 minutes you nod at them, thanking them for reminding you. You look at your uncle and he nods, you smile. Turning back to ryuji, you ask. "Hey. Can I go to your place after the concert's over, love?"
Ryuji nodded. "Sure. That be fu*king awesome.
At his response you let at a small laugh and kissed his lips softly. "I'll see you later, baby~"
All ryuji could do was nod, his cheeks still as red as ever.

Prompt N. 16?
16. “I’m sorry, but… I don’t remember you.”
AU under cut where sojiro recognizes akechi as wakaba’s cognitive psience guinea pig and vaguely remembers akechi’s mother from back when he worked with shido
By the first time that detective kid comes in without Niijima, Sojiro hasn’t quite yet made up his mind. But the cafe’s got a few other customers who might overhear something they shouldn’t, anyway, so it’s not like he could say something if he wanted to; and instead of doing anything, Sojiro sits and waits and reads his newspaper and sits and waits some more, but the kid finishes his coffee and takes his leave before the other customers do. So Sojiro sighs and folds up his newspaper and wonders if he’s missed his chance.
He goes home. Makes Futaba dinner. Has a mild argument through her closed door when she refuses to even respond, which nearly gives him a heart attack wondering if she’s gone and done something stupid while he wasn’t looking. Well, she hadn’t: She pulls the bowl of curry through the crack in the door quick as a flash and shuts it hard, and by then Sojiro’s thoroughly lost his appetite for his own dinner. Maybe he missed his chance to help Futaba. Maybe Futaba died with Wakaba, and all that’s left is to wait for the death certificate.
The second time the detective kid comes in without Niijima, Sojiro has made up his mind.
“Don’t I know you from someplace?” says Sojiro when he passes the kid his coffee.
“Unfortunately, a few people nowadays know me from someplace,” says the kid pleasantly.
“You just got one of those faces, huh?”
The kid’s does not have one of those faces. Goro Akechi has a face the spitting image of his mother; it’s unmistakable, and also frigidly plastic, like he inherited not only his mother’s genes and his mother’s last name, but his mother’s rigor mortis, too. “It tends to be more the TV publicity, I’m afraid,” says Akechi.
“I don’t watch TV,” says Sojiro, over the sound of TV blaring in the corner of the cafe, and rubs his beard in a show of contemplation. “I swear I remember you from somewhere else.”
Akechi’s eyes flicker to the cafe door, which is what tells Sojiro that what comes out of his mouth next will be a lie. He’s got a hard edge in his voice now: “Is that so? I’m sorry, but I don’t remember you.”
Oh, he’s one of those who thinks that a good threat qualifies as safety. A trait shared by dangerous megalomaniacs, common thugs, and cornered animals. Cute. “Must’ve been a mistake,” says Sojiro. “Could’ve sworn I saw someone just like you with a good friend of mine–Isshiki, was her last name. Was years ago. Maybe you remember her?”
Akechi’s gone absolutely still. A trait also shared by dangerous megalomanics and cornered animals. But it rules out “common thug” as an option, at least.
“If you don’t, that’s probably for the best. She ran with a dangerous crowd near the end of her career. Wouldn’t have been any good for a nice kid to get involved with something like that.”
Akechi stands up sharply. “Thank you for the coffee, but I have to be going now.”
“Are you sure? Didn’t expect someone like you to lose your nerve so fast.”
“I see no legal, logical, or interesting reason why I should sit here and suffer your thinly veiled interrogation–”
“Sit back down,” says Sojiro.
“–or take orders from a shopkeeper,” Akechi says. His words are a polite hiss through his teeth.
“Sit back down,” says Sojiro again.
Akechi’s smile is careening towards bared teeth. “Are you going to make me? You, the man under investigation of child neglect?”
“Or I’ll let Niijima-san know you’re tampering with her case and ruining half the permissible testimony she could use in court, yeah.”
As it turns out, between the two of them, Sojiro is the common thug who goes around threatening children.
Akechi’s quite visibly doing mental calculations on whether or not that’s even legal or if Sojiro’s bluffing (it’s both), so Sojiro keeps going before his big teenaged brain can sort itself out. “Maybe you don’t remember me,” Sojiro says. “Maybe you really don’t, or you just refuse. But however it happens…”
Sojiro takes his glasses off and rubs at the bridge of his nose. “Niijima’s got the same look Isshiki did. She’s running with a dangerous crowd, too.” And they’ll run her into the dirt and she’ll go willingly and headlong for love of her work, Sojiro doesn’t say. “Take it from me, kid. Whether or not you’re Wakaba’s favorite guinea pig from back in the day, you don’t want to hang around with the dangerous crowd.”
“I should run and cower from my enemies, is that it?”
“That’s usually what you do with enemies, yeah.”
“The coward’s way out?” says Akechi so sweetly it sounds just like a compliment. “I should stick my head in the sand and turn away from the ugly truths of this world?”
“It’s the survivor’s way out. You can’t fight every battle,” says Sojiro. “You can’t save the whole world. Sometimes you can only save one person.”
“One,” Akechi scoffs.
“One is better than none,” says Sojiro. “Pick every battle that comes your way, and you’ll be dead before you’re twenty.”
Akechi has the look of someone who’s completely tuned out everything Sojiro just said. Doesn’t believe him, or maybe just doesn’t care about dying young. Geez, kids nowadays–first that punk Akira, and now this one. “Oh, fine,” says Sojiro, and passes him a business card–one of the few he has left, ‘cause he hates getting the damn things reprinted. “That’s the Leblanc landline. You ever need an out–you ever find yourself over your head, and need a place to disappear…”
“I don’t need your pity.”
“I’m just an old man still cleaning up Isshiki’s mess,” says Sojiro.
Akechi, eventually, takes the card with disdain. Kinda makes Sojiro wanna sock him, and really makes him wonder where he got that from because his mother didn’t have a nasty bone in her body, but it’s better than that plastic sparkle-thing he had going on. “And this little establishment of old wood and barely-legal government pension is going to operate as witness protection services on whose power?”
“Just mine,” says Sojiro coolly. “Just me and my cafe and my coffee beans, kid. But it works well enough, doesn’t it?” Sojiro goes on before Akechi can say something else that makes Sojiro want to call him a little snot. “Can’t save the world, but I’ve got this little place in the corner of it.”
“What difference does that make when the rest of the world burns?” Akechi sneers.
“Makes a difference to the person who has the guts to call that landline and stop fucking around with that Niijima woman,” says Sojiro.
For one long moment, Akechi stares at him in mute, furious shock, like he’s going to shout Sojiro out of his own shop. For one long moment, Sojiro misses Wakaba so much he thinks he’ll die right there. Akechi does not yell. Sojiro does not die.
“Thank you for the coffee,” says Akechi curtly, and spins around on his heel and strides out the cafe door.
“Come again,” says Sojiro.
***
That night, Sojiro knocks on Futaba’s door. “Hey. Hungry?”
There’s a pause, then: “Hi, hungry. I’m Futaba,” says Futaba’s tiny voice.
Sojiro chuckles. “Alright, you got me. You coming out for dinner?”
It’s been so long since Futaba’s cracked a joke, and in the long silence that follows, Sojiro convinces himself that today’s the day she’s going to come out, even if only for twenty minutes to pick at a bowl of rice. Today’s the day things might finally get better. Even if it doesn’t, he’ll at least get to see her face for the first time in forever.
“You can just leave it by the door,” says Futaba’s voice.
Sojiro bites his tongue.
“Alright,” he says. “I’ll be up for a bit reading the paper, if you change your mind.”
“Okay.”
So Sojiro goes to the living room and sits and waits and reads his newspaper and sits and waits some more. Futaba does not come out. But it’s worth betting that she might, Sojiro figures. He turns the page. He waits some more.

lovers is plural pairing: implied akeshu/shuake, background ann/shiho & ann/mika beta reader: @jubilantscribbler a/n: no p5r spoilers summary: The Phantom Thieves, an infamous name that empowers the young and instills fear in the corrupt, hold their most important meeting yet. Just who is Takamaki Ann, code name Panther, dating?
Today, Akira is not nervous. There are no battle strategies to discuss, no infiltration route to go over. He is free, not having to relentlessly plan out solutions for all of the potentially bad outcomes that could come to fruition in their next palace escapade.
(Although, he should do that, Morgana’s incessant pleas to sleep be damned.)
No, today is a day he can breathe easy. Today, he is confident.
Akira slides a 100 yen coin.
“Ann is definitely going out with Shiho.”
The response between the Phantom Thieves—sans Ann, of course—is mixed.
“Dude,” Ryuji deadpans, “for real? We’re makin’ bank, yet you’re only gonna bet, like, a coin?”
The weight, or lack thereof, to Akira’s wallet disagrees completely. “It’s fair,” he reasons, internally stomping away at the compulsion to present how truly empty his wallet is to everyone else. “Plus, we’re still high schoolers. College funds and stuff.”
The word “college” attracts the local student body president like a moth to a debt-filled flame. Ugh, third years. “While I would agree that saving up for college is admirable,” Makoto says with a laugh, “I believe we need to backtrack a little.”
Akira sucks in a breath when the brunette places an unwrinkled 1000 yen bill on the table. Makoto’s eyes shine a little. “I am placing my bets on… Mika-san.”
“Thank you!” Futaba, the resident shut-in, erupts, throwing her hands in the air. “I’m glad there’s some common sense here.”
This, of course, ensues verbal chaos. Ryuji, lovely Ryuji with a heart of gold, slams his hands down on the table, protesting all of Futaba’s points. (“Have you seen her look at Shiho?!” the blond exclaims. “Hell, I want someone to look at me like that!”) Futaba spouts something about common media tropes and otome games and other concepts that fly right over top student Akira’s head. Makoto is somehow the mediator and instigator in all of this, proudly showing the group a selfie Ann and Mika took not too long ago. Haru smiles, looking a little too apologetic for wear, before presenting an even more recent photo of Shiho and Ann going on a stroll at the nearby park. And Yusuke, passionate as ever, presents their close-knit group a highly detailed pencil drawing of Ann and Mika looking deep into each other’s sparkling eyes, and okay, this is getting weird. Possibly bordering creepy, and—
Akechi is sitting there with a pained expression masked poorly. He is sipping his coffee cup. It has been empty for the past ten minutes.
“—I feel inspired gazing upon two colleagues enraptured with one another,” Yusuke finishes confessing. Akira, admittedly, hadn’t caught the earlier half. A none the wiser Yusuke nods sagely, eyes closed. “There is no doubt in my mind… Ann and Mika-san must be together.”
“But,” Haru starts, “I can’t help but see Ann and Suzui-san in a relationship. Is that odd? I haven’t had any time to talk to Suzui-san lately, but when she attended Shujin, the two seemed close.” A fond smile crosses the third year’s face. “I can’t help but be a little jealous actually!”
Akechi politely raises his hand. His laugh sounds like it’s being played straight from his TV interviews. “Aha, well. I see everyone is getting along today. But… considering we are not discussing anything Phantom Thieves related, do you mind if I go along my way and head home?”
Everyone rightfully ignores him. Akechi remains stuck in the table booth, likely resenting the fact he came in the first place.
(Akira almost feels bad for him. Almost.)
“Well, that’s that,” determines Akira. He’s not sure what he’s actually determining, though. There is a tone of finality in his voice, and Akira simply goes along with it. He glances at both sides of the booth they’re huddled in and surmises his thoughts aloud. “Me, Ryuji, and Haru think Ann is dating Shiho. Makoto, Yusuke, and Futaba believe she’s dating Mika.”
Ryuji looks pumped. “We need a tie-breaker!”
Makoto frowns. “You… are aware that we’re taking individual bets, correct? It doesn’t matter if one ‘team’ has more people than the other.”
“Matters to me,” grumbles Ryuji, and Akira pats him on the back.
Out of the corner of Akira’s eye, he catches Haru’s glossed lips making a perfect little “o.” If the thieves were in some classic cartoon, Akira has no doubt in his mind that one of those thinking light bulbs would be flickering just above a bed of curly locks, a stubborn screw you to the laws of gravity. “Oh, Akechi-kun!” Haru turns to the detective, a curious look on her face. The light bulb is all aglow. “What are your thoughts on the matter?”
Call it a hunch, but Akira is sure that Akechi is swimming in many thoughts by now. Just… not anything helpful. Instead of voicing out the worst of the worst, the brunet smiles a pleasant smile. It’s strained all the same. “Well,” he begins, “before I give you my answer, mind if I express my own questions?”
Futaba minds, apparently. She groans and dives her head between the safe space of her arms. Some of the others restrain themselves to do the same.
“Is it not strange that all of you are placing bets on Takamaki-san’s love life? Does this not feel all a bit too personal?” inquires Akechi, arms crossed. Despite how light his tone is, his stare bores straight into Makoto’s eyes, judging. “I’m especially surprised that you are participating in this as well.”
Akira always felt that there was some camaraderie between Makoto and Akechi. Hair color and motivations aside, both are at the top of their grades, high marks on all of their exams. The two teens are cunning and have a similar interest in law and speak softly when it matters most. They’re arguably the most mature of their group, but… they slip.
Right now is not one of those times.
Makoto doesn’t flinch. “You… must not know me well then, Akechi-kun,” she states. “I admit that once the rest of the Phantom Thieves proposed—” Makoto quickly waves a hand at everyone. “—this, I thought it was… immature, at first. But I soon came to understand that we do this because we care about Ann.”
“And it’s fun!” adds Ryuji. Yusuke is beside the blond, humming in agreement.
“Ann is always looking out for our feelings,” Haru explains, smoothing out her skirt. “Think of this as if… we’re looking out for hers. Ann is one of my dear friends, so of course, I want to support her in a happy and healthy relationship.” Graciously, she covers a giggle behind her hand. “Although, I do think we get carried away.”
Murmurs of agreement surface between the team. And of course, Akira knows this isn’t about money. This isn’t about who’s right or wrong. It’s about Ann’s infectious laugh, about her overflowing sympathy for other people. It’s about Ann because Akira cares about his friends, and he wants the best for her—
“But are we not certain that Ann is dating Mika?” Yusuke asks, pure confusion in his voice.
—but he can still think his friends are factually wrong.
Before the debate has a chance to start up again, Akechi cuts in with a clean, “First, let’s get that tie-breaker vote in, shall we?”
“Oh, now he cares,” Ryuji scoffs.
Suddenly, Akira hears a small gasp. He turns his head to the not-so-mysterious source and finds a shocked Futaba gaping at no one in particular. “We forgot to ask Mona!” she yelps, startling everyone else from the calm. The shut-in whips her head away from everyone and begins shouting at the staircase. “Hey, Mona! Mona!”
For once, Akira is glad Sojiro decided not to stay and make the gang lunch.
It takes a few moments before Akira hears the creak of Leblanc’s wooden stairs. Slowly, Morgana’s nose peeks out from behind the rails before his head and his furry body follow suit. He moves down each step, one careful paw after the other, before dragging his dark tail across the white tile floor and hopping onto the table.
Oh, the bespectacled boy thinks belatedly.
Morgana is sulking.
Triangular ears are flat against his head. “Yeah, yeah, I’m here,” the feline-but-not-really says with a sigh.
Ryuji makes a low whistle and leans back into his seat. The booth does not bother to budge. “Damn, and I thought you liked talkin’ about your ‘Lady Ann,’ Mona.”
Akira does not miss Morgana’s withering look. In an effort to placate him, the teen reaches over and strokes Morgana’s favorite spot on his head despite the not-cat’s silent protests. Akira then leans over and speaks low into Morgana’s ears. “You don’t need to be here if you don’t want to. I know you wanted to skip out since…”
The silence speaks for itself. Morgana looks at him, and the former appears deep in thought, tail swaying as if searching for answers. Eventually, the tail comes to a halt. “Thanks,” he purrs, and Akira isn’t entirely convinced if it’s intentional or not. “But I got this.”
Akira feels a tug at the corners of his mouth. Satisfied, he leans back, watching Morgana take center stage.
“As someone who knows Lady Ann the best,” Morgana declares, chin held high, “I think it’s important that we consider other options. What if she isn’t dating any of them?”
Leblanc’s resident dyed blond groans. “You’re only saying that ‘cause you like her!”
“Am not!”
“Uh,” Futaba butts in, “are we gonna ignore the fact that none of us updated Mona on what we’re talking about, yet he still responds like he’s been here?”
Morgana seethes out an impatient “I live here,” while Akira says effectively the same thing, only with a switch of the pronouns. Okay, that didn’t work. Clearly, Akira needs a new plan—one that involves less bickering with an animal so they don’t all look insane when an innocent customer decides to walk in and witnesses the incarnate of chaos and more… amicable relations. More bets, perhaps.
Curiously enough, it’s Haru who takes the reins, sending Akira a small smile before speaking up. “Maybe if Mona-chan understands why we think Ann has a significant other, he can decide for himself.”
Akira may be a heathen, but God bless Haru.
As Akira is internally singing his praises, the conversation thankfully segues back to Ann and a hyper analysis of her love life. Futaba mentions how she first found out about Ann’s secret romance after forgetting to debug the café. (Akechi then sends Akira an alarmed look the latter chooses to dutifully ignore.) Haru continues that line of thought, recalling Ann’s inquiries regarding the language of flowers and the like, and Akira makes sure to ignore that tinge of jealousy stirring in his stomach even though he knows that Ann knows his hard work in memorizing a bunch of flower symbolism for his job in the underground mall.
He sighs and mentally sweeps his slight envy under the rug. Priorities, Akira.
It’s not until Makoto clears her throat and poses the daunting question of “So, do you believe us?” to Morgana that all eyes fall back on the not-cat, waiting patiently.
The sway of his tail falters. “... Yes,” he bites out. Morgana’s face contorts like he’s devoured a lemon. “Guess this is what you unrequited love, huh?”
Luckily, Ryuji has the decency to stay quiet as Haru breathes an apologetic “Oh, Mona-chan…” and pets the not-cat’s torso.
The group falls into an almost comfortable silence, save for Morgana’s drooping ears that nearly makes Akira leap forward and shower him with many affectionate head pats. Akira otherwise lets his mind wander. He drifts between the scent of Sojiro’s curry ingrained in the dark walls of Leblanc and his daydream of a flustered Ann grasping the hands of a faceless lover, rotating from Mika to Shiho to a mixture of the two’s features. The arch of the rival model’s groomed eyebrows and the doe eyes of the ex-Shujin student are rolled into one.
Features, Akira absently thinks, and for some reason, his eyes linger on the jaunt of a certain detective’s chin, the curve of his lithe neck, the way he carefully tucks a chestnut-colored lock behind his ear. His eyebrows, not unlike Mika’s, are furrowed. Dark, gloved hands hold a gray smartphone that is definitely not bugged by someone that rhymes with Fakura Sutaba, and hazel eyes—red, if you catch them when the glint of the sunlight hits them just right—are fixated on the screen.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise when Akechi of all people, the same Akechi who never dares to back away from a challenge, continues the conversation, not bothering to look up from his phone.
(But it does come as a surprise, oddly enough. Because Akira, jolted out of his daydream and thrusted into reality, is looking, and he feels like he shouldn’t be.)
“Have we come to a conclusion about our findings then?” Akechi questions, a thoughtful look on his face.
“Pardon me,” Yusuke voices, “but I assumed you held no interest in Ann’s love life like the rest of us.”
Akechi, lo and behold, bears another classic (read: fake) smile of his. “I don’t particularly. However, it seems like you all are stumped, and I do enjoy a good mystery. After all, I am a detective, aren’t I?”
Akira resists the urge to point out how the unknown identity of Ann’s girlfriend is a far cry from a good mystery, much less anything more than petty gossip when not discussed amongst friends. Instead, he motions the brunet to continue with a flick of the wrist.
Finally, Akechi looks up. “Have any of you considered the antithesis to Morgana’s hypothesis?”
Ryuji frowns. “The… what?”
“I believe Akechi-kun is talking about the opposite of what Morgana initially thought,” clarifies Makoto. “Which means…”
The gears in Akira’s head turn by the end of Makoto’s unfinished remark. His mind swims around antithesis and Ann and the underlying yet unknown connection between the two, trying to grasp at a lost thread he’s determined to find. (Anntithesis! his brain unhelpfully supplies a beat later before he dismisses it completely.) He thinks back to what the group assessed before: selfies, flowers, the like. Selfies, flowers, the like.
Selfies.
… Were they selfies?
Akira is backtracking now, attempting to recreate the images Makoto and Haru had shown the rest of the group earlier in his head. He closes his eyes and thinks. Mika and Ann’s picture can be excused as a selfie, sure. The two were pressed close together in the photograph, shoulders bumping and heads tilting inward to stay in frame. A part of Ann’s arm was cut off from where they took the picture. Sly smirks on both of their photogenic faces.
By all means, it’s a regular, old photo. A selfie, likely.
Then, what about Ann and Shiho’s? Akira recalls Inokashira Park as the backdrop of the image, an abundance of green flooding his vision. He’s quite familiar with the area, too; jogging with the former track star there whenever his body can endure the brutality of cardio is one form of torture Akira will never forget.
If he recalls correctly, the photo was awfully similar to its counterpart. Heads inclined towards one another, shared smiles, and—
Ann and Shiho were holding up peace signs, both pairs of arms visible in frame.
It’s a cliché to gasp. Akira knows this and does it anyway because one, he is surprised and two, he loves being dramatic. The act earns a rather bemused look from Akechi that’s immediately disguised as a roll of the eyes.
The rest of the thieves follow suit as realization dawns on them. Makoto nods. Futaba blinks. Ryuji’s jaw drops. Haru, polite as ever, raises a hand to mask the shock evident on her face. Morgana’s eyes go and widen to the size of Kamoshida’s golden medal, round and shimmering and unbelievable.
Yusuke is the last one to come around, and he barely manages to gather his bearings in time to ask, “Can it truly be…?”
A delightful ping rings in the still air.
“See for yourself,” Akechi says, voice breezy, and slides his phone down on the table.
-
“Do you think they’ve seen your Instagram post?”
Shiho asks this while peering over Ann’s shoulder, watching the likes accumulate at a rapid speed. The end of her ponytail brushes against the blonde’s nape. Ann struggles to suppress a giggle.
“Oh, maybe?” It comes out unsure, reluctant. Ann taps her chin. ”But my phone hasn’t blown up with text messages yet. And trust me, I would know when my friends saw it.”
The other model waves it off, nonchalant. “They’ll figure out soon enough anyway." A pause. Then, Mika sighs. “Looks like the entire population of Tokyo will, too. I don’t know why you wanted to do this, but I’m sure our agency is going to love capitalizing on it…”
“Ugh, agency shmagency!” Ann, who has no concept of personal space when it comes to these two, gathers both of the girls in her arms and gives them a tight squeeze. “How can I hide away my two amazing girlfriends from the world?”
Mika rolls her eyes, but the dust of pink coloring her cheeks gives her away. “Is she always this corny?”
Shiho snickers. “Oh, one hundred percent.”

Okay, so Persona 5 + Ladybug Crossover with ML as P5:
This was brought to my attention by @french-fry-gallery. I love the idea of a Persona 5 + Miraculous Ladybug crossover (I’ve written some stuff on it too), but I think the roles could be better if you didn’t have to apply the Equal Importance Rule.
Your choices are good, but here are just some alternates and my personal picks!
Warning: Slight spoilers for Persona 5 ahead!
For the list by @french-fry-gallery:
For starters, Akira/Ren: I can see Nino fitting, actually. Both have pissed off some powerful figures, and they’re pretty calm as things go.
Instead of Nino for Ryuji, bring in Kim! It really works - Kim’s so close yet so far away from fitting the hooligan stereotype.
Max for Futaba, hands down. His Persona could be Markov, and there’s room for Kimax!
Alya would fit Yuuki better, anyway - they both run hero fan-blogs!
If you want to complete the trio (and/or prefer the MLW ships), I think Kagami would work for Makoto, though Alix or Marinette would be great too!
I get the whole thing with Luka for Yusuke, but this role feels obviously suited for Nathaniel (or Marc or Marinette, if you want).
Ann & Adrien actually fits. Blonde hair, modeling, cat theme, sucker for sweets... though I do get your choice for Marinette.
Chloe feels more like Goro if he didn’t die in canon P5. What if Lila & Chloe were both in Goro’s role, and when Nino was betrayed, they thought it was Chloe who turned on them at first, but it turned out to be Lila who was the black-masked betrayer!
Adrien could also be Haru. Soft rich kids with terrible dads who they care for despite everything... I can somehow see Sabrina working there as well.
Morgana as Plagg works, but it feels too easy... Manon, I guess? I dunno.
Ella & Etta are good for Caroline & Justine, but if you can pick a better Mona, Human!Tikki & Human!Plagg could work too.
Other Characters & Villains:
Fu is Igor. Next!
Sojiro: One or both of the Dupain-Chengs, man. It works out better than anyone else I can think of.
Sae: Tomoe, Mr. Kubdel or even one of the Dupain-Chengs (depending on your choice for Makoto).
Shiho: I can see Alix fitting this role. Small athletic girls with a bad rap thanks to adults... I think Alix would have tried to stand up for herself more, however. Maybe Kagami, if I didn’t pick her as so good for Makoto.
Iwai: Luka feels possible here, actually. He may not own the equivalent to Untouchable, but he might part time!
Juleka could be Kaoru!
Chihaya: I dunno, man... Rose, I guess? Potentially Mylene...
Togo: Max feels possible, but Marinette would be my first choice, although Kagami could potentially work here too!
Tae: If she and Luka are aged up, I can see Juleka working in this role. Rose also feels possible, given the chemist headcanon many have for her.
Ichiko: Alya could be an alternate, as well as Penny Rolling or Nathalie (the latter of which would actually be good and not know about any evil deals with Gabriel...), but it’s pretty obvious the big one here is Nadja. Doesn’t explain Manon, though...
Shinya: I got a good feeling about Chris Lahiffe here!
Yoshida: I could see Andre B. working here, but I have bigger plans for him... maybe Mylene?
Kawakami: Ms. Bustier, obviously!
Does that make Mendeleiev Ms. Chouno, or...?
Kobayakawa: Rest In Peace, Damocles...
Armand is Kamoshida. Always thought he was rather egotistical, and they’re both gym teachers.
For Madarame, I’d say it’s either the Art Club teacher or Fred Haprele.
Kaneshiro: Bob Roth feels right here. I don’t know why other than they’re both money-grubbing jerks...
Kunikazu Okumura: Gabriel fits here, actually. He’s still corrupt and very successful, but while he’s not a politician...
Shido: ...Andre Bourgeois is! Politician and father of one in Akechi’s role... come on!
Sugimura: I don’t hate the guy, but for some reason Simon Grimault seems like it works.
Yaldabaoth: I had first thought of the Original Kwami, but then I had an idea. What if they are still a God, but  not a villain. The wielder of his Miraculous, on the other hand... who could it be?
Valete,

(I have a lot of ideas for the HC, excuse me for being annoying xD) Do you remember when Sojiro told the PTs and Akira that he should return home? Imagine the reaction he had at that moment; An internal panic, and a growing anxiety within him. One that he Coulis not show at that time because either nobody knew about his back story, or because he did not want to be a nuisance to his friends or anybody on Leblanc and ruin the happy moment. +
Tumblr media
my eMOTIONS FUCK-
(also you’re not annoying at all aaa your hcs are a m a z i n g please dont feel you’re an inconvenience
it’s like,,,having sojiro and futaba and all of his friends, akira finally started to let himself hope that maybe someone cared about him, wanted him around, he’d tried to ignore the niggling fear that it was all an act, that they were only tolerating him for the year
after sojiro brings up going home, it confirms all those fears for him. they were only pretending to like him because he lived there, or because he was their leader, they’d forget about him within the next year...
but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. it hurts so much and the worst part is he only has himself to blame, for getting caught up with hope and dreams and other fanciful things he’d long since given up pursuing- he should’ve known better than to think this could be any different, because since when did people want him?
worst part is, akira’s departure is just as difficult (arguably even more) for everyone else, but they worry they’re being selfish, wanting him to stay, so they say nothing and be supportive. video calls and texts will be enough, they try to convince themselves, late into the night when they’re left to their own thoughts
meanwhile akira cries into his pillow, trying desperately to muffle the sobs from futaba’s bugs downstairs, wishing life could be different, that he could stay here, that they wanted him here. that he was wanted anywhere. was it too much to ask? is he being selfish? probably....

For the controversial ship meme - ALL symbols for Persona, Kingdom Hearts, and Hatoful Boyfriend.
You really out here wanting me to die tonight for my opinions.
Persona:
Ship that you have as an OTP: 🌹
SHUAKE FOR LIFE. God I love Shuake. Enemies to lovers in general just gives me life but the fact that Akechi and Akira were made to be foils to each other is just good shit.
Ship that you’re indifferent to: 😑
Honestly most Phantom Thief shipping I’m pretty ambivalent to, but if I had to pick the one I’m like...truly the embodiment of “meh” about I’d probably say Ann/Akira. I don’t love it or hate it, it just kinda exists.
Ship that makes you sad: 💔
God I’ve got two: Akiham and Fool Moon. You want depression? Great, take these ships and run with it. And if you thought the fact that Shinji dying made Fool Moon depressing, how about the fact that if you romance Aki you can’t save Shinji, so he’s lost his parents, his sister, his absolute best friend in the entire world, and now you too.
...Akihiko deserved better.
Ship that you find disgusting: 💩
KEN/MINAKO CAN GO DIE IN A HOLE BYE.
Ship that you find cute but don’t ship: ✌
I don’t really ship it but of the female confidants and Akira, ShuMako is definitely the cutest.
Ship that you secretly like: 💚
I will never own up to this again but Ann/Ryuji actually lowkey is kinda cute, and while I’m not super into it I’d definitely get behind it.
Ship that you used to have as an OTP: 💙
None really? For me to dump a ship at OTP status you gotta cataclysmically fail as bad as Lotura and have a fanbase worse than some KH ships.
Ship that you find most sexy:👅
I got held up on this for like ten minutes because I’ve never actually thought of this in regards to Persona...I guess probably Shuake? All my other ships I see as sexually incompetent to some degree.
Ship that you can never see happening: 👎
Any of the kid/adult ships. Also Futaba/Akira, the two are practically like adoptive siblings and that’s just weird.
Ship that is canon but you don’t ship: 💤
n/a. The only canon ship in Persona is Junpei/Chidori and that’s...good.
Ship that is unpopular but you still like: 💘
...Honestly Ann/Ryuji I’m pretty sure is unpopular. Also anything P3 because the fandom is too quiet.
Ship that is taboo: 💦
Shuake? I can see this ship being classified as taboo given I had to leave a server over hate for it.
Ship that pisses you off: 💣
...Ken/Minako please fuck off.
Ship you’re curious about: 👀
I would love to see more of MakoHaru, it’s got a lot of potential but not a lot of attention and that’s a real shame.
Ship that needs more love: 💖
Every one of my P3 ships. Give Akiham more love, give Fool Moon more love, give Mitsuru/Yukari more love. Give Junpei/Chidori more love.
Ship that is most misunderstood: 💢
Shuake is misunderstood even by its fans because too many of its fans white knight Akechi and erase his wrong doings when half of the interesting things from the ship come from Akechi growing from everything he did wrong and that’s the tea.
Kingdom Hearts:
Ship that you have as an OTP: 🌹
I always crossfire my OTPs but I guess if I had to pick one to top all of them it would probably be RikuShi? Hard to say.
Ship that you’re indifferent to: 😑
Tequa. I want to like Tequa, I really do. I just can’t bring myself to care about it that much, and that saddens me.
Ship that makes you sad: 💔
Hey canon SoKai absolutely broke my heart, crushed my dreams, destroyed my soul, and I want to cry.
Ship that you find disgusting: 💩
I sat here for like an hour because I genuinely wanted to avoid naming the ship and in the end I decided I’m tied between Ak*R*ku and Ak*Shi. The age gap plus the fact that Axel feels more like their dad just makes me uncomfortable, that being said if the arts good I’m still gonna reblog.
Ship that you find cute but don’t ship: ✌
There are a lot of good high crack combinations out there like Sora/Ariel, Sora/Rapunzel. I also admire R*kuShi from a distance but the fanbase kinda turned me off pretty bad given the ship wars between them and RokuNami.
Ship that you secretly like: 💚
Terra/Cinderella is a ship I will never talk about shipping but it’s actually genuinely really cute and I blame Talia for making me ship it.
Ship that you used to have as an OTP: 💙
Once upon a time back in 2018 I was a huge S*RiK*i shipper. Then KH3 came out and well...
The behavior of some people has kinda turned me off big time from a specific third of the ship and if you don’t like all three parts then what’s the point of OT3ing.
Ship that you find most sexy:👅
Vanqua. Which I feel weird saying but you know what, that would one hundred percent be it. The rest of my ships completely lack sex appeal but Vanqua has Aqua in it and she’s literally the most attractive character in KH.
Ship that you can never see happening: 👎
Well of my own ships...Vanqua, but of the other ships...
You know what, for my own safety, I’d rather not say.
Ship that is canon but you don’t ship: 💤
Well I ship the canon and implicated canon ships so...
Ship that is unpopular but you still like: 💘
GULAVA HAS THREE SHIPPERS AND YOU KNOW WHAT I WILL PROUDLY BE ALL OF THEM.
Ship that is taboo: 💦
Vanqua. Big taboo here.
Ship that pisses you off: 💣
...
...
...
Look.
I don’t want to die Perla.
You already know my answer and why.
You know how much I hate that one theory and hate the fandom’s attitude and it’s made me legitimately angry over a ship.
I think you know the answer.
Ship you’re curious about: 👀
Aquarella looks real cute. So does NamiXi but not enough content.
Ship that needs more love: 💖
RokuNami needs more love, the ship’s fallen into quietness, but also my eternally rare pairs of GulAva and RikuShi and Vanqua and XehaEra need more content and deserve to be fed.
Ship that is most misunderstood: 💢
VANQUA
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST GUYS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH AN AGE GAP BETWEEN A SIXTEEN AND EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD STOP PORTRAYING IT AS GROSS THERE ARE UNDERSTANDABLE REASONS TO CALL VANQUA BAD AND A REASON I WOULD NEVER WANT IT CANON BUT THE AGE GAP DIFFERENCE IS NOT IT.
Hatoful Boyfriend:
Ship that you have as an OTP: 🌹
My oc x Yuuya because Zoe and I rped that and it’s one of my top ships period. Sakuya/Ryouta is honestly a very good ship and 10/10 would ship again.
Ship that you’re indifferent to: 😑
Honestly most ships? There’s just not a lot of birdie combinations I’m super into in general.
Ship that makes you sad: 💔
Hiyoko/Ryouta is particularly tragic, even if I’m not a shipper of it, once you take into account BBL.
Ship that you find disgusting: 💩
Yuuya/Sakuya
Fuck off with that incest.
Ship that you find cute but don’t ship: ✌
I’m not super big into Anghel/Nageki but it’s real cute anyways, just not enough canon substantiating it.
Ship that you secretly like: 💚
N/A. Don’t really had any of my Hatoful ships.
Ship that you used to have as an OTP: 💙
None? Same deal as P5 there was no fuckery in the fanbase to turn me off. It’s a nice chill fanbase over here.
Ship that you find most sexy:👅
...They’re birds.
Ship that you can never see happening: 👎
Shuu/Yuuya. I know there are people who ship it and no.
Ship that is canon but you don’t ship: 💤
N/A. No canon ships.
Ship that is unpopular but you still like: 💘
...I’m not involved in the fandom enough for this tbh.
Ship that is taboo: 💦
None I’m interested in tbh.
Ship that pisses you off: 💣
PEOPLE WHO SHIP EITHER SETS OF BROTHERS. JUST NO.
Ship you’re curious about: 👀
Anghel/Nageki. Let them interact more in the next game.
Ship that needs more love: 💖
...All of them. This fandom is tiny give the game more love before its ships.
Ship that is most misunderstood: 💢
None that I can think of?

Imagine the Phantom Theives with an S/O who also becomes a Phantom theif...
Omg this is like everyone’s ultimate dream!… I want to be a Phantom Thief T_T
Phantom Thieves with a S/O who becomes a Phantom Thief
Akira Kurusu:
> He always knew there was something special about you
> It’s just he never expected that to be the power to awaken to a Persona
> He watched as you ripped the mask off of your face and then effortlessly defeating the Shadows that surrounded you
> You pant heavily before falling to your knees
> “You okay?” He asks quickly running towards you and offering his gloved hand
> “When did I…” You begin as you take a quick look at your new outfit
> “I’ll explain everything in a bit, let’s just get out of here first okay?”
> You nod as you take his hand
~~~
> You sip your coffee as Akira explains to you the basis of the Metaverse
> “And… That’s pretty much it.”
> “Right…”
> “You sound confused.”
> “Well, not confused more like… Overwhelmed? It’s quite a lot to take in you know.”
> He chuckles
> “Yeah I suppose so… For a newbie.”
> “Oh I see how it is Leader, I’m sorry not everyone is a Phantom Thief as long as you.” You tease.
> “He was as confused as you, don’t worry F/n.”
> “Gah! Your cat just spoke to me!”
> “Oh yeah, I forgot about that.”
> You tilt your head at Morgana
> “Come to think of it… I did see a fluffy cat-like creature with you.”
> “I’M NOT A CAT!”
> “Ah! My apologies… Mona.” You say as you reach out to pet his head
> Akira smiles at that before shifting his gaze so your eyes meet
> “So, now that you’re up to date about how things work around here… What will your code name be?”
> “Code name?”
> “We don’t know the effects of using our real names in the Metaverse so we all have our code names.” Morgana explains as he rubs his head against your palm “For example, I’m Mona and Akira is Joker.”
> “I see…” You tap your chin with your free hand
> “Ah, I got it! I’d like to be [Insert code name here]!”
> Akira nods at the name
> “I’m looking forward to working with you, [Code name].” He says as he raises his own cup of coffee
> “Likewise, Joker.” You say as you clink your cups together
Ann Takamaki:
> She had a problem
> As in you
> You just looked so perfect all the time
> And your Thief outfit wasn’t exactly helping either
> Why did it have to be skintight?!
> “Hm? Is everything alright Panther?” You ask tilting your head at her
> Stop that. It makes you look adorable.
> “Oh yeah sorry! I was… Daydreaming.”
> “Oh? Was it about me?” You ask, a grin forming on your lips
> She just rolls her eyes as a response which causes you to giggle
> “Anyways, we should probably just head back to the meeting place, it looks like there’s nothing here but dust.” You say, taking one last look around the room you were in
> “Right. Hopefully the others were able to find something.”
> You nod as you turn and walk towards the door
> … Only to spin round to face Panther last second
> “Ack! What the-” Before she can finish you quickly wrap your arms around one of hers
> “Well I wouldn’t want a Shadow to get the jump on you whilst you daydream so I decided that we will stick extra close from now on!” You say as you start to walk and drag Panther out of the room
> “Haha, stop acting like a knight in shining armour.” She says as she quickly falls in step with you
> “Ehh? That’s mean, you know I’d happily die for you!”
> “You better not, we’re out of revival items.”
> “Wh- That’s not what I-”
> This time you’re the one that doesn’t get to finish, mainly because soft lips are now pressed against your own
Ryuji Sakamoto:
> Honestly he was so happy
> It was so fun running through the halls of distorted palaces and fighting Shadows with you
> You two have so much fun in fact, that you often got scolded by Queen for acting rather recklessly
> “Sorry…” You both say in unison, staring at the ground
> “Honestly, you two are such children at times.” Queen says shaking her head
> “Well, I can’t really argue with you, but you have to admit that it’s totally awesome to go to places like pyramids and space stations, I mean… I never even dreamed of seeing places like that up close!” You say excitedly rocking back and forth
> “You’re such a nerd [Code name], haha.” Skull laughs as he pats your shoulder
> “Wh- No I’m not! I just, uh, appreciate… The aesthetic?” You say, voice sounding far from confident
> “Please stop. One Fox is more than enough.” Skull mumbles, looking at Fox
> He is a bit concerned something could happen to you of course
> But that’s exactly why he willingly runs in front of you or pushes you out of the way if he sees a Shadow preparing a powerful attack
> You appreciate that, you really do
> But you still scold him for it whenever you tend to his wounds
> He of course makes it seem like no big deal though
> “Eh I’ll be fine! Hey, how about we go get ramen after we’re done?”
> “Uh, sure but, how can you think of ramen at a time like this?!”
> “Dude, when do I not think of ramen.”
> “… Good point.”
> He laughs happily at that and you can’t help but smile yourself
Makoto Niijima:
> She would be low-key concerned all the time
> But she would do her best not to let it show
> Whenever you suffer a major hit, she would instantly heal you with her strongest healing spell
> “Haha, thank you Queen!” You say cheerfully as you pick yourself up from the ground
> “Are you sure you’re okay? Maybe you should switch with someone?”
> “Nah, it’s just a scratch, no big deal.” You say, wiping dust off of your costume
> “… Okay…”
> “Hey,” You say walking up to her and taking hold of her gloved hands “Don’t worry about me, you know I’d do anything to protect my Queen.” You add with a wink
> This causes her to laugh quietly
> “It’s just a code name.”
> “I disagree, you’re my one and only Queen.”
> You notice a faint blush forming on her cheeks, barely visible from beneath her mask
> “That’s… Cheesy.”
> You roll your eyes at that before leaning in and giving her cheek a kiss
> “I know.”
> Ever since that encounter she stopped worrying as much and simply admired your strength and determination
> Although she still scolded you occasionally when you missed a chance to deal a critical hit due to silly mistakes
Yusuke Kitagawa:
> You often found him busily sketching something in his art book instead of looking for clues
> “Uh, Fox?” You say tapping him lightly on his shoulder
> “Oh, my apologies, I spaced out again.” He replies still sketching.
> You press your lips together before standing on your toes and peering over his shoulder
> Unsurprisingly, you find your Phantom mask in the middle of the page along with roses climbing on each side of the paper
> “Awww…” You whisper right next to his ear
> “Please stop that [Code name] I’m nowhere near finished, it looks rather bad at the moment.”
> “Fox it looks amazing, and it’s only a sketch!”
> He chuckles as he places the pencil down and turns his face towards you
> “You compliment me too much.”
> “Well of course, your art is amazing.”
> “… The only thing I ever draw is you.”
> “Wh- Um, r-really?… No it’s not… You drew flowers not long ago…”
> “Ah you mean the flowers we saw in the park? Indeed, but only because you said they looked beautiful.”
> “H-Huh? Is that why… You made me that flower crown?”
> He only smiles in response which causes your cheeks to become pink
> “Oi, lovebirds! If you’re done flirting with each other can we just get going?!” Skull shouts.
> Fox sighs before putting his art supplies away
> “Shall we?” He asks, turning to face you and offering his gloved hand
> You nod as you happily take it and make your way towards your team
Futaba Sakura:
> She’d be absolutely thrilled, often pulling you aside just to take a selfie because you just ‘looked so cool’
> But you can bet that she will protect you the most
> “Navi!” Joker shouts
> “Leave it to me!” Navi shouts as she swipes for an attack boost spell
> After the fight is over, you notice the Necronomicon hovering above you
> “Is everyone okay?” She asks
> “Yeah we are, thanks to you.” You say looking up and smiling
> “Actually [Code name] I have one more thing for you!”
> “Hu-”
> “CATCH!”
> Before you can fully comprehend what’s going on, you stick out your arms and second later you found that the thing you caught was Navi herself
> She giggles as she shifts so that she now has her arms wrapped around your neck
> “Um?”
> “Well, I noticed that you got hurt the most during the last fight so I came to heal you!”
> “Don’t you… Need your Persona for that?”
> “Nope!”
> You want to question her more but before you can do that you feel her lips press against yours
> You blink for a second before responding to her until she pulls away with a massive grin on her face
> “This is by far the best healing spell anyone has ever used on me.” You say as a smile forms on your lips
> “Just don’t go around getting hurt on purpose so I can heal you like this all the time.”
> “Who do you take me for? A noob?”
> “Only sometimes.” She teases
Haru Okumura:
> She was really glad you were a Phantom Thief too, that way she could spend more time with you!
> Seeing as she joined rather late, she often relied on you to show her how things work
> At first, you’d often have to help her up and heal her after she got knocked down
> “Thank you so much [Code name], you’re so reliable and strong!” She complimented you as you pulled her to her feet
> But of course, as soon as she understood, she was unstoppable
> “N-Noir took out five enemies with a single grenade…” You say, gripping your weapon tightly
> As you say this, Noir quickly spins to face you and jumps up with excitment
> “[Code name]! Joker! Did I do good?” She asked with an innocent smile on her face
> Joker simply nods
> “Of course you did Noir! You’re amazing!” You say
> She giggles at that and holy heck that’s the cutest thing you’ve ever heard
> “I’m really glad! Shall we move on then?” She asks as she adjusts her hat
> Why is your girlfriend so fluffy yet so deadly
> “Yeah, of course.” You answer
> You find that the two of you mostly discuss things such as the best type or tea and coffee but then somehow end up discussing who’s weapon is more deadlier
> Noir of course claims that her axe would win anytime against anyone/anything and you find that this is most likely true considering she keeps reminding Shadows that they ‘shouldn’t annoy a girl with an axe’
> “Okay different question.” You say smiling
> She tilts her head to the side slightly implying you’ve got her attention
> “Who do you love more, me or your axe.”
> “…”
> For a solid minute she taps her finger against her lips, deep in thought
> “W-Wait seriously?”
> She giggles at that
> “Haha, I tricked you [Code name]! You already know the answer…”
> “Aw-”
> “It’s the axe.”
> “Hey!”
> Before you can say anything else she presses a kiss to your cheek and you know she’s just joking
> … You hope.
Can you do, "I think I just saw something move outside your window. . . Is someone watching us?" Prompt for Incubus!Akira? Please?
OOC: Good morning, Selene. I hope you’re well, and that today’s been a good day for you so far.
My, what a prompt order. I like that, and your manners are a nice touch as well. You certainly may have an order featuring the pumpkin spice king: Akira Kurusu. Enjoy, and come back again.
Honestly, I feel kind of… okay about this. I did my best, but I could’ve done a bit better. Probably.
For everyone else: Sit back, relax with your favourite drink, and indulge yourselves in a sweet treat. ☕
“I heard something outside. Can you go check again?”
A head was turned, and a face framed with frizzy black hair snuck a glance at where you lay. Right beside him on the couch you and he shared on your evenings off, your fingers clutching onto the sleeve of the black shirt he wore, and your legs were intertwined with his, the cotton leggings of your lounge wear rubbing against his.
He felt the muscles in your legs tightening as your body stiffened, the barely stifled gasp that left your lips was easily heard. Even with his keen hearing, even with the various sounds—creaking doors, groaning floorboards, slow and shaky breaths, and other noises related to a B-rated horror movie—that came from the flickering television screen, there was no mistaking the hitched breath you took in.
The flickering television screen was all that penetrated the darkness of the living room, casting its dim light across random surfaces, including the couch where you and Akira laid. However, the dim light coming from the television screen only served to make your on-edge expression more obvious.
There was a strange mixture of intrigue and on-edge anticipation written all over your face, swallowing a gulp that felt like it was the size of a baseball. You felt it slide down your esophagus, to settle in the pit of your stomach that was doing queasy flip-flops in anxious apprehension.
A shudder shook you as a chill danced up and down your spine, drawing in a slow, shaky breath as the earlier noises—the groaning creak of floorboards, the flashlight being shone around the dark room, and the small, frightened breaths of the woman—increased two-fold as an eerie, unnaturally still silence plagued the scene.
The quiet was broken only by the groaning creak of the floorboards, the slow and quivering breaths of the woman, and the careful shuffle of footsteps as the pair inched closer and closer to the door.
Your wide, shivering irises caught the way the beam of the flashlight cast its dim luminescence on the door’s glass pane, a light that seemed unnecessarily bright in the dark foyer as the man reached for the doorknob.
They’re going to die.
It was gripped and slowly, carefully turned. The door hinges wailed softly in protest as the door was opened, and the pair stepped out into the chilly night. The cabin’s front porch creaked and groaned, and a brief gust of icy wind whispered past the couple.
The woman’s dark hair was tussled as the cold early fall air gently nipped at any exposed skin she had, shivering as she brought the collar of her fall coat closer to her neck.
They’re going to die.
“Don’t worry, babe. See? Nothing’s outside.”
The man’s nonchalant assurance didn’t put the woman at ease. It was evident in how she scowled, the way she smacked his shoulder. Her irked glare and the light smack to his shoulder only made him chuckle, going so far as to raise the flashlight, placing it under his chin.
The luminescence cast a play of light and shadow across his grinning visage, and the woman rolled her eyes, breathing a sigh as she cast one last look around out of sheer nervousness.
They’re going to die!
“Let’s go inside already. It’s too-”
The woman was cut off by a wet gurgle from the man, and the woman simply looked back at him, a look of pure annoyance plastered across her face.
“Whatever you’re doing, it’s not funny, okay? Now let’s-”
Again, she was cut off, but by the sight of blood pouring from his mouth, spilling down his chin as he uttered a weak cry for help. The machete that protruded from his chest was stained with the man’s blood, the red-stained blade glinting in the cold glare of moonlight.
The woman remained where she was, as though rooted in place, her mouth hanging agape as the flashlight left the man’s limp grasp. The flashlight hit the ground with a clatter, rolling down the cabin steps and onto the patch of gravel that made up the driveway.
A pair of eyes stared at the woman blankly through slits in the hockey mask that covered the killer’s face, a gloved hand twisting the machete, still deep within the man’s chest, causing further damage before the masked man finally removed the decidedly deadly weapon.
The man slumped to the ground, quite obviously deceased, and the camera zoomed in on the woman’s face. The action served only to make her frightened expression all the more palpable, and you watched as cold perspiration began to form on her face, dripping down her face as terror shone in her eyes.
She voiced a scream just as the machete-bearing man reached for her—and you couldn’t bear to see what happened next.
So, you buried your face into Akira’s shoulder, voicing a mousy squeak as your ears caught the final moments of the woman’s life.
You heard her pleas for mercy that fell on deaf ears.
You heard the all too noticeable sounds of the machete hacking away at her.
You heard her pained cries, voicing a death rattle as her life was brought to a violent end.
Strangely, you heard nothing else.
When you decided that it was safe enough to look, you turned your head oh so slightly, pointing a nervous glare on the glowing TV screen—and you saw the telltale Netflix logo staring back at you. Below the movie you had foolishly selected earlier, there were the “recommended for you,” “new releases,” “popular TV shows,” and other suggestions staring back at you.
“…I told you we should’ve watched something else, love.”
Quickly, your head shot up from the crook of Akira’s neck, pointing a stern look on the smirking young man.
“S-Shut up! I told you I could handle it, Akira!”
“Really? Hiding in my neck counts as ‘handling it’, does it? I’m not complaining, of course, but-”
“Shush!”
You reached for one of the pillows, wielding it like it was a threatening weapon and not, in fact, a harmless object. Akira laughed as you swatted him with the lumpy pillow, his warm onyx irises shining with amusement as you scowled.
“Ass,” you grumbled, scowling as the frizzy-haired demon snickered.
However, movement out of the corner of your eye caught your attention, causing you to stiffen as your gaze eyeballed the adjacent window.
Akira’s eyes followed to where you were staring, narrowing slightly.
“I think I saw something move outside the window… Is someone watching us?”
Try as you might, there was no way to hide the quivering edge that laced your voice as you talked, unconsciously hugging the pillow to your chest. Your stare refused to move away from the window, and it was only when Akira spoke that your eyes left the window.
“Treasure, I checked before we started the movie. There’s nothing out there.”
“I saw something move outside, Akira!”
“Are you sure it’s not the movie having an effect on you?”
“N-No!”
You pursed your lips as, again, Akira chuckled at the light, but clear stutter to the single word you voiced, huffing as your hand smacked his shoulder.
“Check again!”
“Alright, alright,” Akira said, sighing as he moved.
The noiret uncurled his legs, the bare soles of his feet touching the floor as he paused, leaning forward to press a kiss to your cheek before he sat up. The couch creaked as it was relieved of his weight, and you watched as he walked over to the window, hands stuffed in the pockets of his lounge wear.
The obsidian-eyed man raised a hand, brushing the curtain aside, peering out into the darkness outside. The dim orange glow from streetlights shone down on the sidewalk, on a patch of grass here and there, and cast their faint lights on a parked vehicle, but there was nothing to be seen.
“See? I told you there was nothing out there, darling.”
A smile curled Akira’s lips, and you breathed a sigh of relief—only to jump in place, voicing a quiet gasp as the doorbell suddenly rang.
You paused, waiting, your fingers hugging the pillow to your chest. It was only when Akira was on the move that you dared to so much as budge an inch, shifting to wiggle your feet into the slippers placed on the floor.
The couch wailed softly as you sat up, still hugging the pillow to your chest as you followed Akira out of the dark living room, shuffling down the short hallway that led to the front door. You lingered behind Akira, watching as he spared you a brief glance before looking back at the front door, his fingers reaching for the deadbolt.
You sucked in a soft breath, your eyes never straying from the doorknob, watching as it wiggled experimentally before, finally—
“Akira! You and your girl still up? C’mon, man, open up! I’m freezin’ my nuts off out here!”
You breathed a sigh, relaxing at the familiar voice of one of Akira’s friends: Ryuji Sakamoto.
“As always, you have no aesthetics.” Yusuke Kitagawa.
“Like you’re one to talk. Stupid art-obsessed Inari.” Futaba Sakura.
“You could try to keep your voice down. You’re loud enough to wake the dead sometimes.” Ann Takamaki.
“It is cold, but Ann’s right. Please be a bit more considerate. We are in a neighbourhood at a late hour, after all.” Makoto Niijima.
“Um… Nobody’s answering. Maybe they’ve gone to bed? We shouldn’t disturb them if they are asleep.” Haru Okumura.
“The kitchen lights are on, though, and I saw the TV flickerin’ when I peeked in through the window.”
Ryuji’s muffled voice was clear, sounding a bit vexed as the doorbell chimed again, followed by the blond pounding on the door.
“Heeeey! Akira! You there? C’mon, open up already!”
Finally, Akira’s fingers gripped the deadbolt, turning it.It was unfastened with a quiet click, a noise that resonated a bit too loudly throughout the first floor of the two-storey house as the doorknob was gripped in the incubus’s hand, and smoothly turned, pulling the door open.
Soon, you and your husband stared into six familiar faces, all bearing various looks that were either annoyed, relieved, calm but pleasant, or bearing a smile.
“See? I told you guys they were still up,” Ryuji said, grinning as he spoke.
“Still, you should remember to be a bit more courteous next time,” Makoto replied, sparing the energetic blond a lukewarm askance.
“Niijima is right. We are guests, after all,” Yusuke added, more or less agreeing with the brunette, red-eyed young woman.
“Thank you for inviting us over for a movie night. I’m sure that it was on short notice,” Haru said, smiling warmly at you.
“It’s no trouble at all. You’re always welcomed here, all of you,” you said, stepping aside to give Akira’s friends to move inside.
Akira carefully moved past his friends, shutting and locking the door.
Their lighthearted chatter broke the dimly lit darkness of your home, removing their footwear and setting them aside, shrugging off their fall coats and hanging them on the coat rack bolted into the wall adjacent to the door.
“Alright, let’s get this spooky party started! I’ve brought loads of goodies!” Futaba said, voicing a laugh that was warm and mischievous, clutching two grocery bags of various snacks and drinks.
“What’re we watchin’, anyway?” Ryuji asked, eyeballing the flickering TV screen as everyone shuffled into the living room.
“Ooh, ooh! I heard there’s a Halloween marathon on tonight! Let’s watch that!”
Futaba’s suggestion caused your blood to run cold, swallowing a gulp as a low chuckle was heard from behind you.
Akira’s snicker was obvious, and as he walked past you, he tossed you the smallest of smirks as his warm onyx eyes danced with quiet laughter.
“I think that will be just fine, Futaba.”
It was official.
You were doomed to keep your head buried into Akira’s shoulder for the rest of the night, and sleep would be hard to come by, if not impossible.
