Im finally done with this omg

All my design thoughts went out the window I really should’ve written them down 😭 but uuuuuh; Nami’s hair was actually inspired by another artist’s redesign I saw. I used psychedelic soul as my main inspo for Brook even tho I havent even met the guy yet to know if it really fits him or not, I was mostly messing around anyway. But hes a goofy guy from what I know so I think this get up/base for his future fits work fine even if psychedelic soul doesnt. Also his shirt in the time skip is supposed to be ripped up into a crop top. Idk. I just think hed like to show off his midriff if he still had one.

NOW FRANK I HAD SO MUCH FUN AND SO MUCH DIFFICULTY WITH BUT THE END RESULT WAS DEFINITELY WORTH IT. I used 2009’s Transformers animated as style reference/inspo because it really does fit the vibes he gives off. I got rid of the bright light green palms in exchange for some subtle floral because 1) I couldn’t figure out how to make it work with the brushes I had downloaded + didnt have time to make my own between work, 2) It made him look too cluttered and drove the focus away from his face. This isnt entirely clear, which Im fine with, but TS Robin and Franky have little matching bits in their designs because i thought itd be cute???? Sue me lmao

And uuuuuuuh. Transfem Sanji/Sanju. Yep. 🏳️‍⚧️ :)

you know what? i think i will make will solace headcanons based off myself.

he loves the sun but he hates when it gets too hot because ew sweat so his favourite days are sunny with a light breeze

he’s a cat AND a dog person, switching depending on his mood

he’s vegetarian but kind of accidentally, he just slowly stopped eating different meats until he finally gave up his last meat (chicken) and became a herbivore

he gets snappy when he doesn’t sleep much, so basically he’s permanently on the verge of a breakdown

he’s a hypocrite because he’s always trying to get nico to be healthy yet proceeds to go eat only snacky, comfort foods that he can just grab randomly

he loves helping people but he doesn’t love people

he hyper focuses on things then proceeds to try own everything he can related to that subject

he would try and adopt his favourite character’s personality but he’s given up because he’s so unchangeably him that he fails every-time

he hates winter so much because he cannot handle the cold, but he loves winter sweaters (paired with his comfort shorts ofc)

he has comfort shorts (he cried when his first pair ripped from overuse and had to immediately buy an identical pair).

he’s trans masc but low-key loves styling long hair, just doesn’t like having long hair himself, so he often messes with nico’s (who rocks those mini half up-half down pigtails). This is the only one not based off myself lmfao

Coming Out as Trans to the Straw Hats

HCs because there's not enough trans masc x reader out there and especially not for the Straw Hats!!

Luffy, Robin, Zoro, Nami, Chopper

Luffy

"Uhhhh…okay!"

Doesn't get it at first. When you explain it to him, you can see the gears turning in his head trying to figure it out

When he DOES figure it out, he hardly even has a reaction. Says something like, "cool!" and just moves on

Probably forgets about it and has to have it re-explained to him when something like bathing comes up

If you reveal you're anxious about telling him, thinking it'll change things between you as shipmates, all you'll get is a shrug and a laugh. He doesn't care what you are as long as you're a good pirate!

Robin

"Oh? Good to know."

She understands right away and doesn't brush it off like it's nothing, but doesn't make it a big deal. She's read about it before and met all sorts of people during her years of wandering alone, so it's not unusual to her

More sensitive than the guys are about it. She knows it's hard for you to talk about and wants to acknowledge it without making it weird

She probably knows the most about it besides Chopper and is willing to listen to you talk about it if you want

If you don't, she won't bring it up!

Zoro

"So what?"

Gets that it might mean a lot to you, but doesn't really care either (in a good way)

To him, it doesn't change anything. You are whatever you say you are, and he cares more about training with you than what sex you were born as

Is a little insensitive, but in the way that it doesn't make a difference to him and he doesn't see why you consider it such a big deal

Nami

"Alright!"

Cares and tries her best to make sure you know she's supportive!

She'll include you with the things that her and Robin usually do, but only if you're comortable with it

If you're not, she'll say that "guys belong with other guys!" and send you off with Luffy

Will come to you when she wants boy advice and girl advice since you've "done both" and know better than the rest of the crew

Chopper

• nico is trans, and came out to bianca during the lotus casino. she helped him cut his hair afterwards

• he is also autistic and had a special interest in mythomagic for a long time

• part of why hes not great at interacting with others is the autism

• oh right just bc i say so he also has ocd, ptsd, anxiety, panic disorder, and depression

• hades was always very accepting. i just feel like he would give nico a binder while he was on his own

• binds for way too long. will (who is also trans btw) lectures him on binder safety daily

• he is also physically disabled from his powers. i hc him as using mobility aids. i also hc him as having a hellhound service dog when hes older

• he is often described as twisting his skull ring in the books, so i say that its him fidgeting and stimming discreetly

nico di angelo is trans masc and he has no idea what periods are before the age of 14

for starters maria di angelo is a super cool and super modern queen for the 40s. she canonically had two children with a greek god, lived more or less as a single mother in the eyes of society during the time of the christian italy of mussolini.

nico probably said he was trans when he was little and his mom probably just said "do you want me to cut your hair sweetie ?"

bianca accepted that easily too and everything was fine

but the story we know happened: maria dies then bianca and little nico finds himself lost in a future where he doesn't really know people

everyone thinks he's cisgender, surely teaches him the word trans in his life from a young homeless teenager (maybe even by our genderfluid green-haired prince•ss) and decides he won't tell anyone

he has no idea how it is in our time to be lgbt and still has the mentality of his original time in mind

nico is canonically skinny, has disastrous mental health and very physically active which delays his puberty. even when this happens his weight is too low to have his period

however after the end of the heroes of olympus he finds himself with a more stable life. he stops running around and completely neglecting his body because will forces him to take care of himself

one morning he wakes up with blood on his underwear and a stomach ache, he thinks he is going to die

he didn't tell anyone he was trans at this point but who realized it (will, hazel (?), reyna and coach helge AND hades who always knew) but no one did comment on this

so he panics, goes to camp jupiter without telling anyone to say goodbye to his two "sisters" (hazel and reyna)

since he is a drama king, he hugs hazel telling him that he was happy to know her in his miserable life before leaving without further explanation to see reyna

reyna don't swallow his shit/m, sit him down and ask him why the fuck he think he's gonna die

then follows a very long and very awkward conversation. nico feels very stupid for not just going to see will

reyna as a super big sister reassures him, explains to him what to do but mentally she is in mode: suzgsunsj'sbvsj

she wonders how this kid managed to survive so long alone-

everything ends well, however, he returns to camp half blood after having spent some time with his sisters (and having told hazel that in the end he was not going to die right away)

ps1/ english is not my first language and i'm pretty sure the spelling is a bit rough. normally i pay more attention to spelling but it's one in the morning where i live, i survive with a terrible sleep pattern and my brain is too tired for grammar

ps2/a few words about what is happening in the united states, it is truly horrible and inhumane. anti-trans laws are against human rights. our lives matter, the lives of trans people matter. trans rights ARE human rights

Zosan is something so special but even more special when it’s t4t. Zoro who has been sure of his identity ever since he was a little kid and sanji whose egg has been forcefully cracked with a sledgehammer in her early 20’s. Sanji who struggles deciding on how to present during fem days vs Zoro who has been wearing the same clothes for the last week.

Sanji who has been disconnected from her femininity nearly all of her life, shoving herself into awkwardly fitting suits since she was a little kid, her desire to be the perfect gentleman overshadowing her true identity.

Zoro who decided he’s a man and stuck with it ever since he was little. Zoro who knows himself better than anyone and is sure of it.

it’s such a harsh contrast. Sanji almost feels bested by the swordsman in this gender debacle. how has that grass brained idiot been so sure of himself for years while she needs to smoke 3 cigarettes at the mere thought of wearing a dress?

Sanji wishes deep down to ask him: “how did you know?” “when did you know?” “was it easy?” (She knows that one is rhetorical). And yet sanji cant ask him. At least not while she’s dicing an assortment of fruit for her lovely Nami and Robin and working on her 8th cigarette of the hour.

It’s not like Zoro’s the only other person on the ship who is similar to her. Robin’s been lovely, actually. Robin has always been incredibly knowing and insightful, as always. She’s been amazing, Sanji can’t appreciate her enough. She always knew the right words to pick. Sanji sleeping in the girls quarters allowed her to become closer to Robin through simple conversation and sweet smiles alone. Sanji can’t thank her enough for each chat they’d have over a cup of coffee. Robin had always been safe for Sanji to chat to. An observant woman who could read a person just like she did her books.

So just why did Sanji want to ask the moss-brained idiot about his experience with his identity? It’s not like he’s got some long story to tell, Zoro’s not the kind of guy to drone on and tell some deep story about his self-realization over a candlelit dinner. Zoro is Zoro, simple and straight to the point. A sharp edge that hardly falters. He’s simple-minded. A simple-minded moron. A simple-minded moron that picks fights with Sanji every chance he gets. A simple-minded moron that doesn’t have anything good to say. Sanji’s not delusional.

It’s only when in the kitchen with that same moron, Sanji realizes that she might be delusional.

It goes as any other night. Crew asleep, Sanji staying up a little later than usual to prep for tomorrow’s meals, careful hands massaging marinade into raw meat, and Zoro waltzes into the kitchen like he fucking owns it. Insomnia can make a man so cocky. Swords clanking against each other and the thump of his boots against the wood announcing his presence.

“Out. You’re not getting any booze, shitty moss.” Sanji says, simple and straightforward.

Zoro scoffs. He takes a seat at the dining table. Sanji can feel the swordsman’s eyes on her. “I didn’t come here just for booze, shit cook.”

“What else could you have come for? I don’t see you looking to handle tomorrow’s lunch.” Sanji replies, rinsing her hands clean and storing the marinated cuts in the fridge. The spices tickle her senses.

Zoro doesn’t reply. Great. Sanji would have to play a guessing game with an overgrown moss in the odd hours of the night. Unable to kick or scream at him because she can’t risk waking up her sweet Nami or Robin. She dries her hands and turns to look at him. Did he come here with the sole purpose to piss her off? She wouldn’t put that behind him. The air is oddly thick. She takes a drag of the cigarette she’s been working on before making her way to the counter and stubbing it out on the ashtray there.

“Whatever you want, spit it out or go.” Sanji tells him, not having time for any bullshit. “Or I’m going to sleep.”

Zoro’s permanent scowl turns into something confused. Tilting his head inquisitively, almost like a dog. Sanji takes the thought of Zoro being similar to a confused puppy and crushes it with the sole of her shoes. She can’t have that now. Stupid moss. Stupid puppy-dog moss. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

“I wanted to say,” Zoro begins. Seeming to actually think about his choice of words. It’s something Sanji’s never seen before. Shocked that his brain works for anything other than swords and alcohol. “Congrats. On. Your. Finding yourself.” Zoro finishes.

The eye contact made after that is, for lack of a better term, terrifying to Sanji.

"Thanks." Is all Sanji can manage before retreating to the women's quarters for the night before Zoro can say anything else.

It makes her feel warm.

Okay, so I’ve decided to post some soldezangelo headcanons because I love Solangelo and I love Valdangelo and you can’t force me to choose so the three of them are all dating each other now.

Firstly, Leo’s a trans girl, her name is Leah now. She was dating Nico and Will before she came out, but also came out to them a while before anyone else knew (well the first was Piper, but nobody else).

They’re actually t4t4t cause Nico and Will are both trans guys. Will’s mom is very accepting, we stan Naomi Solace. Bianca was the first person that knew Nico was trans, although everyone knew he was a boy once they escaped the lotus hotel.

In my brain, TSATS still happens in this AU, but Leah joined the relationship after her and Calypso broke up. (I also think that Calypso should join the hunters of Artemis, cause it would give a lot to her ark to say that her worth isn’t tied to a romantic relationship)

I’ll post more later, I just wanted to explain some stuff, like who I’m referring to if I mention Leah in a PJO thing

I love the femboy Nico hc but I have to pair it with my trans Will Solace hc because my brain created something for them which I shall share.

I like to believe that pre-transition Will used to have ‘girly’ days with his mother where they’d put on makeup, dress up pretty and stuff like that. I like to think that Will enjoyed the moment and enjoyed spending time with his mother, but gradually stopped wanting to do it because wearing that kind of stuff on himself gave him huge gender dysphoria. He missed the fun and the time he spent with his mum, but he just hated that it was all linked with womanhood cause he wasn’t a woman.

After he went to camp, and couldn’t see Naomi as much, he started feeling nostalgic for the experience of those days. He loved doing his moms hair, and he adored putting makeup on her and picking out cute, little outfits that probably didn’t even match. At one point, he attempted to do something like that on himself to maybe bring back that joy he felt, but seeing himself so feminine made him feel disgusted and utterly uncomfortable in his own skin.

He’d never taken something off so quickly.

One night, when he was playing with Nico’s hair as he lay his head in his lap, he had a light bulb moment. Queue Will persuading Nico to let him do his hair in pretty hairstyles that he’d learned from those days with his mom. At first, Nico was unsure because he had is own toxic views on masculinity from his original time. He was easily convinced, however, because he loves Will and probably can’t say no to him.

Nico ends up with some kind of pretty hairstyle (imagine what you want), and he loves it. From that point onwards, it spirals into Will using his knowledge from those days to do loads of feminine things to a progressively less reluctant Nico. He’s often found wearing makeup, many elaborate hairstyles and even sometimes a skirt.

I also like to think that Nico’s openness helps Will feel more confident with feminine things again, because he realises that it doesn’t make him appear any less like a man. I don’t think Will would ever wear anything drastically feminine again, but i’d like to imagine that solangelo have been caught wearing matching skirts.

Maybe it even leads to Nico discovering a new identity for himself. Maybe they end up using he/they pronouns.
