hi hi! im not sure if you write for the characters but can i request kuon, nagi and chigiri with an s/o who plays volleyball(or any sport other than soccer) take ur time with requests too (◍•ᴗ•◍)
❝on the court !❞
Tumblr media
synopsis : Volley-ball is your passion. Between bruised knees, strapped fingers and aching limbs, your boyfriend is your biggest fan.
pairing : Kuon Wataru, Seishiro Nagi, Chigiri Hyoma x genderneutral!reader •— Blue Lock
tw : none, just fluff and comfort (Tiny descriptions of injuries and blood, but not too graphic !)
word count : 750~ words
author-note : Hi, anon ! I hope you’re doing okay outta here 💗 I’m sorry for the late writing, I hope you’ll still appreciate it. You don’t know how much I love this request !! I’m a volleyball player, so it was extremely fun to write :) And don’t worry, I write for everyone (even if I don’t really like Kuon bruh). Thank you for your request, take care of yourself ♡
Tumblr media
CHIGIRI HYOMA is the most supportive boyfriend out of the three. He finds volleyball super interesting, and he’s a fast-learner ! He asked you multiple times to teach him some movements and things about volleyball, but you always declined, too worried about his knee and what could happen to him. But he insisted, over and over again, until you finally agreed with a sigh, a small smile displayed on your face. Chigiri enjoys these small moments of intimacy between you two : and gosh, your gentle and soft touches on his arms when trying to correct his posture to dig, sent shivers down his spine. He comes to your matches every. single. time. (if he’s free, of course, because Blue Lock’s taking a lot of his time, unfortunately), a huge, proud grin on his face as he saw you celebrating your victory with your teammates. You look so good with your hair tied (he’s the one who tied them for you, short or long hair, he doesn’t care, don’t want them to disturb you while you’re playing, do we ?) and your game jersey, he can’t help but takes a picture of this specific moment and making it his wallpaper. When you both come home from your game, you’re going to be treated like royalty. Running you a bath ? Bet. Cooking your favorite plate ? Obviously ! (He’s gonna try, no promises, though). Helping you stretch ? You name it, he’s doing it.
"I’m proud of you, baby.", he whispered, kissing your temple while you were both in the bathtub; surrounded by warm and relaxing water. He looked at your tense shoulders, gentle hands massaging them. "Want me to kiss it better ?"
NAGI SEISHIRO always finishs with bruised fingers, muttering under his breath how your sport sucks and is painful. A real crybaby. And he immediately asks you, in return, to cuddle with him, since he’s too injured to do anything else (you literally hurt his fingers, he can’t play properly anymore ?? You’ve got some audacity.). He definitely prefers to play with his feet, so it’s, unfortunately, extremely hard to train with him around. He told you he won’t play volleyball with you ever again (too much efforts anyway), and definitely refuses to see any match with you. But when you come home with several hematomas, therapy straps around your fingers, he just lets out a deep, disapproving sigh, immediately walking towards you and turning off his phone. He takes your hand in his, pressing gentle and soft kisses on your bruised knuckles and fingers tips, before engulfing you in a bear hug. It often leads with cuddles on the couch, both of you lying on the soft pillows, legs tangled together. Nagi always wake-up, carrying you to bed with a huff, as carefully as possible. When you’re peacefully sleeping in your shared bed, he sits down next to you, smoothly playing with some strands of your hair. These are the only times he’s going to be the big spoon; gently embracing you from behind with his toned arms, not wanting to harm you even more. Nuzzling in your neck, and peppering it with butterfly kisses as he joined you in your oh-so-deserved sleep. The following morning, you were smiling like a dork when you saw Nagi with two tickets in his hand : he bought places for the two of you to a volleyball match, a professional game, with the top-ranked players all around the world.
"Sei’, you didn’t ?!"
"I did. But don’t think I like your lil’ sport or something. Just thought you would like it."
"I definitely like it. Thank you, Sei. I love you so much."
He bit his inside cheek to keep a smile from crawling its way to his lips.
KUON WATARU took interest in your sport rather quickly, his face distorted in pain when he saw professional players receiving a 120kph ball with their forearms, without any protection. He’s always asking so much questions, such as "why aren’t they wearing knee pads ?? He’s gonna burn his skin, he’s dumb", or "your teammate should’ve sent you the ball. There wasn’t any opponent where you were, it was a stupid idea to send the ball on the left… yeah, there was a - what’s the name again ? - oh yeah, a middle ready to block them." He’s constantly judging other players, putting you on a pedestal. You’re the best player in the world in his eyes, and no one can change his mind. He’s always urging you to buy new knee & elbow pads when they’re a slightly bit damaged (actually, he’s not urging you to buy them. He’s directly buying them for you), he doesn’t want to take any risk when it comes to your safety or your body health. Speaking of body health, he’s the one who’s going to patch you up after each practice, scolding you for your lack of caring towards your own body. But he actually likes to play beach volleyball with you, you two make a good team ! He’s proud to brag about your volleyball skills to his friends each time he has the opportunity to do so.
"Good serve, babe !" You ran to Wataru to celebrate his fresh ace, the opponents sighing because of their mistake. You kissed his cheek, proud.
"The student has surpassed the teacher, I guess", he answered with a cocky grin.
"Clearly not."

My Job is Beach ... - Valtteri Bottas x ItalianOlympicBeachVolleyball! Reader
Plot: You spend time with your boyfriend after the Australian GP doing what you do best, Beach Barbie and Beach Ken
Credit to husbono for the GIF
Tumblr media
Valtteri had an incredible race, him and Lewis both in a fantastic car as fantastic drivers. And you’d luckily been there to celebrate with him.
You loved going to Australia with him, it was so warm at the time of year the race was and it meant you got to go to the beach.
Which of course was one of your favourite things. Growing up in a small coastal town in Italy, meant you were at the beach pretty much all the time. You went there before school, after school, on the weekends. Even during school, your school was right next to a beach which is where you picked up your sport.
At first it was just for fun, like most hobbies start of as.
But after playing in some matches against others schools across Italy, your teacher and parents realised there was something special there.
You didn’t see it or get it, you just loved the beach do anything you did there was fun to you.
So of course they ended up getting you a coach. Someone who was willing to privately train you and get you into better teams in Italy.
In 2016 you competed in Brazil. Rio De Janeiro was an incredible place and it’s actually where you met Valtteri.
He and a few of the drivers had ended up coming to watch some of the Olympics and you’d bumped into him on the beach with Lewis.
You’d recognised both of them straight away, and struck up a conversation with them.
“Oh! Your Valtteri Bottas! And Your Felipe Massa!” You’d exclaimed at the men and they’d awkwardly nodded thinking you were a fan wanting a picture or autograph.
“What are you guys here for?” You ask, knowing that the race this year wasn’t until November. They were in summer break right now.
“Oh, we are here for the Olympics. We got invited” Felipe admits and you grin.
“Oh, I’m here for them too!” You grin.
“Oh yeah, you here to watch any sport in particular?” Valtteri asked.
“Watch? No im one of the beach volleyballers! Team Italia” You smile.
And the rest was history after that. You and Valtteri got together and he got a promotion to Mercedes after Nico Rosberg left the sport.
It was early the next day, the Monday after the race and you and Valtteri were still shacked up in Australia. You wanted to spend some more time here travelling to your favourite Aussie beaches.
So you took the 1hour flight from Melbourne to Sydney so that you were on Bondi beach. You guys had rented out a place close to the coast for easy access.
You guys were with a few friends, some of Valtteri and some of yours. Somehow your friendship groups just mixed together well. You were both apprehensive at first but realised after a house party that it was fine, the language barrier at first was a little awkward but English being a common ground for most of the group worked.
“Amore mio, please come join us! Then I promise you we will go on a bike ride!” You say cuddling up to him… you’d just finished unpacking and he was laying on the bed cuddling up to you.
“Im no good. And I just embarrass myself Rakas” he sighs pulling you into him and kissing all over your face affectionately making you giggle.
At first Valtteri was very shy when it came to showing you any level of affection and your overly affectionate side thanks to your large Italian family upbringing was very overwhelming to him at first.
But soon he learnt it was your love language and the more confident he got, the clingier he got.
“It’s meant to be for fun! You don’t have to be good at it” you giggle running your finger through his hair as he looks up at you.
“But all your friends are so good!” He exclaims sitting up.
“Mmmm and now you know how I feel when you take me karting!” You laugh knowing you have the bruises to prove just how bad you were at the sport.
“Okay okay fine. But just because I love you!” He says in that gruff lower voice.
You guys play beach volleyball for the majority of the morning until the suns at full peak.
“Barbecue sulla spiaggia?” One of your friends suggest whose English wasn’t great, especially when she was tired after a long morning of playing volleyball, in the sand and under the hot Australian sun.
“She suggested a Rantagrilli?” You say trying your best to translate for Valtteri and his friends who wouldn’t have understood the Italian.
You weren’t allowed to do this on Bondi but closer to where your beach Villa was, you knew you’d be able to cook on the beach there as it was private to the Villa.
They all nod eagerly and before you know it, you guys are using two barbecue for the amount of people you are cooking for. One that’s on the back garden of the beach villa and then one that was already in the sand.
You guys spent lunch munching on burgers and salad, and chicken and hot dog. It was for sure a chest day for all of you, most of you guys being athletes and being on strict diets.
After you’d spent the afternoon cuddling with Valtteri on the beach letting lunch go down, you both went out for a bike ride. He of course had chosen the longest and steepest route to take, meaning you came back drenched in sweat and cursing at Valtteri for making you endure that.
"I want a Dolce Sorpresa!" you groan your head leaning against him and he looks at you.
"A what?" he asks. You'd learnt a little Finnish for him but he still struggled with some of you little idioms.
"Sweet Treat, I'm craving Boba, I saw a shop on the way back!" you grin, kissing him before taking his hand to drag him to the Boba Tea shop!
"Then, can we go to the beach again?" you ask.
"You just love the beach don't you!" he smiles.
"Mmmmmm, my job is literally beach..." you giggle.

TRAINING WHEELS
PROLOGUE | SOMEWHERE ONLY WE KNOW
ao3 | series masterlist | next chapter
five years ago, you stupidly had a fling with inarizaki athlete, miya atsumu– now, present day– he had a son he knew nothing about. you made sure it was going to stay that way, but as fate would have it, he unexpectedly stumbled back into your lives, now as volleyball’s biggest star.
wc & notes: 2.1k — pls bear with the obligatory setup, i promise you’ll see atsumu soon 😪
Tumblr media
FIVE YEARS AGO — INARIZAKI HIGH SCHOOL
Hiding in a bathroom stall with Inarizaki’s golden boy, Miya Atsumu, was not on your to-do list this morning.
Crammed into a stall with minimum space, you easily heard Atsumu attempting to stifle a laugh beside you. You shot him a glare and didn’t hesitate to clamp your hand over his loud mouth. You felt his warm lips curl into a smirk underneath your palm, did he seriously think this was funny? You shot him another warning look, but it seemed like he didn’t realize what situation you both found yourselves in. Maybe you would have found this situation funny too if not for the fact you were about to get caught. It was just your luck that someone happened to wander in while you two were hastily making out in a stall a few feet away. You were just glad the stall was closed.
Atsumu was far too impulsive for your own liking; you felt his hand sliding down your waist as his eyes gave a mischievous glint. You couldn’t see the bottom half of his face from behind your hand, but you could feel from the creasing of his mouth that he was grinning. The sudden caress didn’t do anything for your nerves. You swore the damn heat in the bathroom was crawling up your spine by the second, either from the risk of being caught or Atsumu. You couldn’t tell.
It felt like an eternity as you waited for the other occupant in the restroom to leave. You finally heard the faucet stop running, as the other person finished washing their hands. You waited with bated breath as you listened to the footsteps walk away, followed with the door shutting. Relief washed over you like a tidal wave, as you pulled your hand off Atsumu.
“I thought you said nobody used this bathroom,” you jabbed, poking him in the chest. He held up his hands in mock-defense.
“There shouldn’t be,” he shrugged nonchalantly. When Atsumu had told you earlier he knew a spot, he safely assumed you’d have some privacy but as luck had it, some first year stumbled into the restroom right before Atsumu could manage to get your shirt off.
“That’s probably a sign that what we’re doing is a bad idea,” you replied, rolling your eyes. Atsumu’s smirk flashed again as you felt his hands lower down your sides. His fingers skimmed the edges of your school skirt, as you raised an eyebrow at him.
“Nah, we’re just having fun, baby.”
You didn’t realize fun would have you be reading a positive pregnancy test a month later.
PRESENT DAY — OSAKA, JAPAN
The air of your quaint apartment is filled with the soft chatter of the television as you busied yourself in the kitchen. You only had about an hour before you had to be at your work event, and as per usual, you were already in a rush. Your son hadn’t eaten lunch yet, you still had to drop him off at the babysitters, and not to mention you were still wearing pajama pants. Twenty-four hours in a day was not enough time to be juggling a full-time job and a preschooler, not to mention yourself.
You were too occupied with shoveling rice into a bowl to be listening to whatever was holding Haru’s attention in the living room, but you could tell it wasn’t his usual cartoons he tended to watch after school (not that you were complaining, you could only tolerate the high-pitched voices for so long). You glanced over at the television to see that it was the sports channel for a change, and you felt the spoon in your hand still when you caught the voice of the announcer.
“Miya Atsumu is the hotshot to look out for once again this season!” The announcer exclaimed. “News has it, the Japanese Olympic team has their eye on him.”
The sports announcers chatted excitedly over MSBY Jackals, a frontrunner volleyball team for the upcoming season, championed by Miya Atsumu, the team’s starting setter. You winced at the aforementioned name, but you distracted yourself by setting the table with plates and cutlery. But despite your best efforts to busy yourself, you found yourself peeking up at the television screen. Atsumu still looks as lively as he did five years ago. Maybe even more so, seeing as how the professional athlete lifestyle was treating him. But it’s not the time to reminisce on your high school fling when you had a hungry toddler to feed.
Though, you find that Miya Atsumu is in your thoughts often. How couldn’t you?
“Haru!” You called out. “Lunch is ready!”
A small head of dark hair peaked up from the couch in the living room as you saw the television switched to commercial break, which made you nearly sigh in relief. You didn’t want to hear another word about Miya Atsumu. The boy traveled over to the dining table, where you helped boost him into his seat. The chair emphasized that he was much too small for it, but one he still adamantly insisted on since he wanted to “sit at the table like a big kid.”
“Mama, you still have to change,” the small boy noted before picking up his spoon. Instinctively, your eyes darted to the clock. Damnit, he was right! How was your four year old more observant than you?
“Thank you for reminding me, baby,” you sighed, ruffling his hair.
Haru quickly got to gobbling down his lunch as you hurried to your room to get changed. You didn’t have much time to mull over what to wear so you threw on the first clothing items you saw. You mentally checked off your to-do list for the day as you tugged on a blouse—get ready for the work party, fix lunch for Haru before you drop him off at the babysitters… Everything seemed to be in order, and you actually seemed to be doing good on time. You swiped up your bag and keys before returning back to the kitchen to find Haru with nearly a clean plate. Perfect, now things were actually going smoothly. Maybe you even had time to grab a coffee on your way there, lord knows you need it considering you were running on practically zero hours of sleep.
“Can we go to a game one day, mama?” Your son questioned suddenly, as he shoveled a final spoonful of rice into his chubby cheeks. It broke your train of thought and you nearly dropped your keys into the floor and instead of inside your bag.
“A game?” You asked hesitantly, you hoped he didn’t say what you dreaded to hear.
“A volleyball game!” He exclaimed as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Your mouth dried up and you felt your heart hesitate a beat.
Damn that sports channel! Though, you couldn’t blame the TV for your son’s sudden interest in sports, Haru seemingly always had an affinity for sports. It was always his first choice for playtime, and whatever toy he picked out from the store always had to be some sort of ball. You had just hoped it wouldn’t be a certain sport in particular, but much to your dismay, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
You wanted to brush off your son’s recent interest in volleyball as a child’s everchanging hyperfixation and just a phase he was going through, but much to your dismay, Haru never seemed intrigued by anything else. You introduced him to soccer, drawing, and many other hobbies, but the young boy was adamant on the sport and nothing else. And it was obvious who he got it from.
“It’ll be so cool!” He gushed. “I wanna get a jersey, and I saw all sorts of commercials about it!--”
You frowned as he continued on about his grand plan from the seats he wanted to sit at to the snacks he wanted to get. Your little boy seemed so excited, and the last thing you wanted to do was say no, but you don’t think you could ever fulfill his wish. Being in the same space as him… No, you could never do it, you couldn’t.
Haru looked up at you with hopeful eyes, waiting for a response. You paused, before sighing.
“Someday, baby.”
You knew you were lying for his sake. (But maybe it was actually just your own.)
Haru took it as a yes and continued to ramble on. He talked about his favorite players, the different teams, and anything else he could recall about the sport. You began packing up Haru’s bag for the babysitters, before you heard your phone ring from the counter. You grabbed it, silently thanking the fact you didn’t need to hear anymore about volleyball.
“Y/N!” Your coworker, Naomi, gasped from the other line. “Thank god, you answered!”
Not only was Naomi your coworker, but also a close friend. You both had met by bonding at the office over a broken coffee machine, and subsequently gone out for a coffee run together. She had easily become your friend once she won you over with her friendly, albeit eccentric, personality. You had gotten close enough that you had opened up to her about your past struggles like having Haru by accident at such a young age, but she never once judged you. Though, you could probably do without her MILF jokes. She easily became one of Haru’s favorite people once the two had met, and Haru affectionately called her Aunt Mimi, and she wore the title with pride. You even trusted her enough to be one of Haru’s emergency contacts at his preschool.
“Naomi,” you frowned at her sudden urgentness. “What’s wrong?”
“I totally lost track of time,” she groaned on the other line, and you could hear her rustling around. Don’t tell me she’s still not dressed, you thought. You may not be the best with time management, but you didn’t hold a candle to your dear friend. You raised an eyebrow before she continued.
“I’m on the other side of town and I’m not ready for the company party at all, and I don’t have time to get the catering! Do you think you can get it?”
“Why the hell are you on the other side of town half dressed– Don’t tell me it’s that finance guy you hooked up with last month again!”
“Now’s not the time to criticize my poor decisions!” Naomi exclaimed, and you could hear her zipping up her dress. “Can you please get the catering? I’ll get your coffee for a week– no, a month!”
Not a bad deal, you thought. You hummed in response as you checked the clock on the wall. It wouldn’t delay you by much, and definitely owed Naomi one after she babysat Haru last week when you had to work overtime. Not to mention, a work party with your irksome boss would probably be even more insufferable without food.
“Alright, alright,” you agreed, finally giving in. “Where’s the food from?”
You heard Naomi sigh in relief. “It’s from a restaurant called Onigiri Miya, do you know it?”
You sputtered. “M-Miya?”
While you were open with your life with Naomi, she still had no idea about Haru’s biological father. In your defense, it was kind of hard explaining you had a secret baby with one of the most popular professional athletes in Japan. Thankfully she had never pried about the topic.
“Is something wrong?” Naomi asked. “You sound like you choked.”
You chewed on your lip, what were even the chances the restaurant had any correlation to who you thought it did? Despite you both living in Osaka, you hadn’t run into him once in your five years of residency. It was a large city afterall. And not to mention how common the last name Miya was, which you learned the hard way. Your old apartment had been coincidentally across from a cafe named Miya’s Coffee, and you had avoided it like the plague for months until you realized it was in fact owned by a sixty year old man with no children. However you still proceeded to steer clear of it after you realized he was flaunting his bachelor status a little too openly to you. Chances are, it coincidentally just shared the last name with him.
It’s just a restaurant, it’s no big deal.
“Uh, nothing,” you lied. “I’ll pick it up for you before I drop Haru off at the babysitters.”
“Great!” Naomi chirped, and you could practically hear her grin. “I’ll see you at the party.”

going to the beach with the genshin boys!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
included characters: Diluc, Kaeya, Childe, Zhongli might do a second part for Heizou, Ayato, Albedo, and Itto? if anyone has specific characters they want, please request! rating: sfw warnings: alcohol mention in Kaeya’s, gn reader!
Diluc:
he’s more of a resort or private beach kinda guy versus an overly crowded beach with a ton of screaming children and drunk spring breakers. If you do go to a crowded public beach, expect to carry your towel, snacks, and umbrella for a good 20 minutes while he walks you all over the beach looking for the most secluded area to set up camp.
He won’t let you do anything without first putting on sunscreen, and even then he frowns when you want to leave the shaded area he’s set up. The sun is bad, what if you get too hot and faint?
He brings a cooler full of water and drinks with electrolytes because he’s not taking any chances on either of you getting dehydrated and sick from this.
He’s more willing to take a walk down the shore or play in the water with you once the sun has gone done a bit and the majority of the families have left. He likes watching the waves or the sunset with you, and before it gets too dark, he will agree to go swimming with you. (Not too far from the shore though, he doesn’t want you getting swept away)
Complains afterwards about the sand that gets everywhere and promises you that next time, he’ll take you to a better beach where kids don’t run up and excitedly shout, “Ariel??” at him while he’s just sitting there drinking his grape juice.
No, he’s not playing mermaids with the group of kids. No he’s not singing. Yes, he’s making you both pack up and move your stuff even farther away now.
Kaeya:
He likes to go to piers or beaches that are having some kind of event! If you go to a boardwalk type place, he’ll want to buy silly souvenirs or win you a prize at a cheap little carnival game. He does cheat! and he won’t tell you how!
He is the type to sneak alcohol in. Like, water bottle full of vodka or he’s repackaging a capri sun full of margarita. His ice pops are filled with alcohol and some juice to maintain a believable color. He forgets to bring food and you either have to fill that role or expect him to be tipsy and starving before the date is over.
He remembers sunscreen and makes a big deal about making sure to get every part of you covered, like bro we’re in public, keep your hands where I can see them.
He likes collecting shells with you and telling you little (probably made up) stories about pirates and treasure. You can join in and add details, pretend you believe him, pretend you know the fake story he’s making up, etc, and it becomes a game. He’ll find some random ring in the sand and be like, oh! we found part of the pirate’s treasure! and then you guys have to dig around in the sand for a while looking for more treasure.
He doesn’t expect to have so much fun doing the silly, innocent things, but he ends up really liking all the digging in the sand for trash and playing pretend. He likes that it makes you laugh, that he makes you laugh.
Afterwards you guys pick up something to eat and sit around with the sun setting and the salt water drying on your skin and he smiles a little softer at you. He slides the ring he found at the beach on your finger and says it’s only right he keeps his treasures together.
Childe:
He likes the typical things like surfing or playing volleyball on the beach, and if you’re willing to join him, he’s excited! He likes the competition on who can surf the best wave or who can win in volleyball or whatever. If you don’t want to do these things, he’s fine with it too. He can either join some others or do his own thing for a bit while you relax.
Sports and competition aren’t his only preferences, though. He likes collecting shells, a lot of shells, so he can bring them to his siblings as gifts or just store in a little jar as a memory of the time he’s spending with you! He will use them also to build a sandcastle with you, of which he proclaims you both to be the rulers of. 50/50 whether he feels an attachment to your new kingdom and is sad to leave it or if he’s going to kick the shit out of it and laugh maniacally.
He also Will be the “how big of a hole can I dig before I have to leave the beach?” kind of guy. The hole will be huge, he will fill the bottom of it with water and it ends up as a weird little sandy hot tub that he’s so proud of. He abandons it to a group of kids who are interested, even if he’s a little sad that he’s lost his big sand pit.
He’ll love going swimming, or even just splashing around in the water, or jumping over waves, etc just normal things you’d do at the beach!
He’s a sucker for the people who drive their little carts by with ice cream or popsicles and ends up buying all the kids whatever they want because he can’t say no to them.
He forgets sunscreen and then he’s all sunburnt and red the next day and you have to cover him in aloe vera while he looks pitiful and sad. Anyway,
Zhongli:
He’s also not the biggest fan of the super crowded beaches but less because of the people and more because of the effect so many people have on the beach. He gets very thoughtful and sad about the litter and pollution in the water
He still likes to talk down the shore with you. He’ll hold your hand until he sees some trash and then he’ll pick it up, then he’ll pick something else up, then he’s holding random bottle caps and straws in both hands until he can find a trash/recycling bin to toss them into.
Sitting under your umbrella and reading or just watching the waves/clouds/sunset/etc is a good time for him. He’ll tell you about past experiences/stories at the beach or on the water, about the history of this area, about the animals that live there, etc. He’s the type to know where the sea turtle babies are and gently redirects people away from the area to not disturb them. He’s just on this beach to be a Lorax to be honest.
He will happily go swimming with you, or he doesn’t mind sailing around or something. He likes the more calming, peaceful stuff! The beach makes him a little mournful and he gets lost in a thought a lot, so be patient. He has a lot he’s willing to say if you listen.
He doesn’t remember to bring food or money for food so after you’ve spent a full day of getting sand between your toes and crouching over little puddles of water with teeny crabs and stuff in them, you have to grab something to eat at a nearby cafe. You’ll politely sit outside as to not track in sand and sea water, but it’s a nice dinner regardless!

Okay, I'll send in three requests that will vary a little so you can get a feel. Now, keep in mind that you can do whatever you want with this, I will never be disappointed, it's just a means to share creativity.
How about this prompt:
"Don′t wanna sleep 'cause we′re dreaming out loud"
but with Goshiki? He's got plenty of big dreams, calling himself the Ace as a first year. I doubt he let go of that after high school
I saw the prompt and immediately thought about a million dreams from the greatest showman.
You make a lot of promises when you are a kid. Most of those promises are forgotten and left in your fondest memories.
standing on the edge of the playground in 4th grade, watching bugs crawl over the wood chips placed in front of them is where this promise was made.
“hey, [Name]? Will you follow me when I become an astronaut?” Goshiki looked at you with a rather intense gaze for a 10 year old.
“Of course! I’ll follow you to wherever the world takes us!” You giggle at him then go back to the bugs.
——— 4 years later ———
that promise held true as you followed him through jr. high.
while Goshiki did not pursue becoming an astronaut, he did find volleyball. You would stay after your club had ended to walk home with him. On many nights you would end up staying on the gym with him as he drilled himself over and over again.
some nights he only left because he could see your eyes drooping, and your yawns becoming more and more frequent.
at first you couldn’t see why a sport this fast paced had enamored him, but after many late nights and you first aid kit being used more often, you finally decided to find out.
you watched hours upon hours of volleyball tapes and started to ask more questions. And to be honest you still didn’t really understand it, but you saw the way his eyes lit up when talking about it.
you saw the way that he smiled when a game component finally clicked, and the laughter that was shared between his teammates after a particularly good skirmish.
you decided that maybe you didn’t need to understand.
——— 2 years later (After losing to karasuno)———
tear tacks were still wet on his cheeks when he went looking for you. You, who was at every single game no matter where, you who was always there with a smile and a hug, and who he loved more than anything.
He found you a standing next to a water fountain, once he got your attention, you gave him a hug. He held you to his chest and shook with silent sobs.
After a while he pulled back and looked you in the eyes, and decided then and there that he didn’t want to spend another day without you.
——
it took him until the end of his first year to finally ask you out. (To which you said yes)
The whole summer was spent going on dates and having fun with each other. The usual disappointment of going back to school wasn’t there, only excitement for the new volleyball season.
At the end of the volleyball season, he gave you a promise ring. He promised that wherever you took him, that he would go, as long as he got to stay with you. You kept the ring on a necklace throughout the rest of your Highschool years.
——— 3 years later ———
in your second year of college you got offered your dream scholarship. However you were reluctant to take it, because it meant moving to another country.
you brought it up to Goshiki and it was one of the first big fights you had.
he wanted you to take it. He felt like you had encouraged him to follow his dreams as a professional volleyball player and he wanted you to follow your dreams too.
you argued that you wanted to stay with him. That your relationship with him was more important to you than any scholarship. you eventually walked out to the balcony to get some space, and after cooling down a bit, you went back inside to find him. you sat down and tried to explain it from your point of view. He was one of the most important people in your life, and that moving away might break that connection. He explained that you had done so much for him, and that he didn’t want to hold you back from achieving something great. it was a long night. And in the end you agreed that you would take the scholarship.
the night before you left for the airport you gave him a promise ring, and took yours off of the necklace and put it onto your finger. ——— 2 years later ———
Visiting each other was hard. With Goshiki progressing into his volleyball career, and you spending most of your time doing work. but you made it work. one memorable night was when Goshiki had stayed awake long after midnight to stay on the phone with you. He was quite honestly delirious and it was mostly his subconscious talking to you.
you found it hilarious. He was filling the silence with mostly meaningless babble. It was a great background noise for your studying. eventually you got bored of studying and you turned your attention to your boyfriend asking him questions and watching him put too much effort into answering it.
eventually you remember how late it is over there. “Hey lover boy, why are you still awake?”
he blinks his eyes lazily at you before slowly responding, “I don’t ‘wanna sleep when I could be dreaming out loud with you.”
you feel your heart melt at this man, who even when tired is thinking of you and wants to spend time with you. “I love you baby, but you need sleep. Good night my love”
“‘Ood night”
———
the night of your return was marked on the calendar you and Goshiki shared. However near your return date your supervisor noticed how antsy you were getting and managed to get you a return flight a week earlier. you decided not to tell Goshiki about the new flight date so you could surprise him. The first thing to do was call his teams manager to make sure that he could get a free day. and after a long call, and being put on hold for far too long, Goshiki would be free for the next day.
——— the next day ———
Goshiki has been doing a lot of things in the weeks leading up to your departure, one of which was to buy an actual engagement ring. He had bought this ring* right before practice. His plan was to propose to you right after you got out of the airport. Strangely enough when he went into practice his manager kept giving him knowing looks. He ignored it and kept practicing until the coaches called them over and cut practice short. Goshiki (who was rather confused) took the drive home. It was a fairly normal drive home with not much traffic. Until he got a text from you. ❤️My beloved❤️: will you pick up some flowers for me?
❤️My beloved❤️: I ordered them already all you need to do is pick them up. Thank you 😊
Me: sure, send me the address
❤️My beloved❤️: thank you 😘
——— a few minutes later ———
Goshiki walked into the store, only to pause when he saw you. “…[Name]?” He looks at you, then rubs his eyes to make sure you are real. “Goshiki!” You run to him and hug him. “How, How are you here?”
“they let me go a few days early, and I came to surprise you!”
Goshiki fumbled around his pockets for something. He seems to find it quickly but looks up nervously. “you good there Goshiki?”
“yes! Yes I am, um this isn’t how I wanted this to go,” he looks at you and smiles. “But you mean the world to me and I’m so happy that you came home early.”
he gets down onto one knee and pulls out the ring. “[Full Name] you are the love of my life. Will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?”
“YES”
*this is the ring I was thinking of

NEW BATHING SUIT
Tumblr media
Got this idea because I’m going to the beach today! :D anyways enjoy small Drabble.
Mainly focused on Gwen and hobie being the love intrest for you.
Fem reader
I Made this in25 minutes so it kinda sucks. Sorry, better stuff coming out later and tomorrow I promise.
Hobie didn’t think much when you invited everyone to the beach with you. The car ride was loud and annoying because you and and Gwen were singing. (Really Gwen was annoying, Hobie didn’t mind you singing)
When you got there everyone had to grab stuff from the trunk except you. Why? You drove 5 five people 4 hours away from home.
Miles looked at the sky “um it’s cloudy…” he said matter of fact-Ly, you laugh and grab your speaker from the beach bag Gwen was carrying. You laugh and cheer “PERFECT!” You exclaim everyone could see how over joyed you are.
The beach was almost empty. Everyone was so happy. Gwen asked looked at you confused “where do we go to get ch-?” She asked as you took your shirt and shorts off. You had a cute two piece, sports bra like top that was colorful, and purple bottoms with a little pink heart on the hip.
Everyone was staring at you, you just laugh “someone that’s not hobie come play volleyball ball with me.” You joke running of. Everyone was still in shock over that beautiful bathing suit. Pavi was the first to run to play, miles was on his team. Hobie was referee… that can’t go wrong 😑. Gwen was with you on the girls team. Gwen kept finding reasons to bump into you.
It was a great day everyone had plenty of fun before swimming, Gwen had carried you around in the water laughing at your hair floating weirdly in the water. You were so happy to hang out here, the clouds faded and suddenly there was a lot of people. The team got up and left to go get ice cream. A playful argument broke out about the best ice cream. Hobie was just enjoying the drama. There was a stop at the arcade before going home. Everyone was getting you their ticket cards, they wanted to get you something but didn’t know what.
You were smart and bought a portable car karaoke machine. It was a fun ride home, you got tired half way home but pushed through because the only person still awake was the British man.
“AINT no british O’ mate tea und cr’mpets fucker driving” you mock his accent. He laughed it off. Gwen was dead asleep in the back almost drooling.

fandom: haikyuu ship: nishinoya yuu x oc/reader status: complete ao3 link
"I think you're really pretty. Will you go out with me?" That was the first thing he's ever said to her. And needless to say, Amari Chiyo was not impressed. So as promised, Nishinoya Yuu will get to know her better and confess again. And again. And again. And again. It'll take 6 years and 9 confessions, but he'll get there. Eventually.
⌦ content: fluff, light angst, love at first sight, friends to lover, slice of life
⌦ note: you are free to insert yourself into Chiyo, just keep in mind she has her own character/backstory. i know some people don't like that, so just a heads-up.

The second time he confessed was almost a year and a half later – at their second-year sports festival.
During their first year, Nishinoya joined the volleyball team. And in just one year, he managed to make the starting lineup as the team's libero. Apparently, he was so good that he received the 'Best Libero Award' in a tournament during late spring, despite the team coming in second within the prefecture. The award made him famous, not just within the middle school volleyball scene but also throughout the school.
Not that Chiyo has been paying any attention.
Sure, she made sure to congratulate him when he immediately came bragging to her about his accomplishments. But she was far too stressed out with her personal life to pay attention to Nishinoya's growing popularity.
Between her first and second year of middle school, Chiyo's parents got divorced. Her father's start-up business took a turn for the worse, and her mother decided to jump ship while she was still somewhat financially stable. And though the Amari family had three children, she decided to only take Chiyo — the eldest child, along with her. But after living with her mother for two months, Chiyo decided, of her own accord, to return home to her father and siblings.
Despite all that, Chiyo did her best not to let any of it slip. She kept up with her grades, laughed with her classmates, and occasionally entertained Nishinoya's attempts at getting to know her better. And in her second year, she was elected as one of the two class representatives for their class.
And after four weeks of endless planning and stress, Chiyo was just glad the Sports Festival seemed to be running relatively smoothly. A few minor hiccups aside, everyone was having fun, which was the most important part.
After an eventful morning and fulfilling lunch, Chiyo was busy looking through the list of classmates she needed to gather when someone tapped her on the shoulder.
"Hey, Amari!" It was Nishinoya. "Whatcha doing?"
"Trying to round up the people for the tug-of-war and class relay." Chiyo gave him a tired smile. "Speaking of which, you should probably go get ready."
Chidoriyama Junior High was a school that separated sports festival teams by class, and tug-of-war and the class relay were the two most important events. Both had the class's pride and dignity riding on the line. And being one of the fastest runners, Nishinoya was chosen to be the anchor of the relay.
"Yeah, I know." Despite the acknowledgement, he continued to linger. In spite of the heavy burden he carried, Chiyo noted that he looked relatively carefree.
"Are you gonna watch?" He suddenly asked.
"Hm?"
"The class relay," he clarified. "You're gonna watch, right?"
She shrugged. "Of course. What kind of class rep would I be if I didn't?"
"Great. And you're gonna cheer for me, right?"
Chiyo raised an eyebrow. "I'm gonna cheer for the class, Nishinoya. Not just you."
"Yeah, but I'm the anchor," Nishinoya thumped his chest with an air of unyielding confidence. "Nothing gets the crowd going more than when you're neck and neck against an opponent. Especially in the last leg of the race. And I'll need all your love and support to squeeze out first place for our class."
She rolled her eyes. "Uh-huh. Now go get ready." Spinning him around by the shoulders, she gave him a light shove in the direction of the announcer's booth. "We're counting on you to win."
After being coaxed along for a few steps, Nishinoya began to walk on his own. He quickly glanced over his shoulder with one of his big goofy grins.
"You betcha!"
If Chiyo were being completely honest, that smile had her heart fluttering.
Just a little.
Tumblr media
The tug-of-war event came and went, with their class barely scraping by at third place amongst the second-years. Now everything was riding on the class relays, and the runners were beginning to look especially nervous.
Chiyo pressed her lips together. She wondered if she should say something to encourage everyone when Nishinoya suddenly slapped one of the other runners on the back.
"Hey now, don't start freaking out," he hollered. "You guys got me running the anchor! There's no way we'll lose." He gave the guy beside him a reassuring look. "Come on, let's show 'em how we Class 2-2 do things!"
Upon hearing his call, the class exchanged a quick look amongst each other before raising their fists and letting out a collective battle cry in agreement.
Watching as the tension that loomed over her classmates vanished into the cool fall air, Chiyo couldn't help but feel impressed. She briefly glanced in Nishinoya's direction, who quickly caught her gaze. He winked at her, and she immediately turned away. Then, a familiar jingle played through the PA system, followed by a voice.
"Participants for the 4 x 100 class relay, please gather by the starting line. The race will begin shortly."
Upon hearing the announcement, the runners shared one last cheer with the rest of the class before heading towards the gathering point for the race.
"Good Luck!" Someone called after them.
"We're counting on you!"
"Yeah!" Nishinoya yelled back, raising a fist in the air. He looked like the protagonist of a shounen manga.
"He's pretty cool, isn't he?" Someone suddenly whispered into her ear, causing Chiyo to jump.
"Honoka!" She shot the dark-haired girl a look of annoyance before clearing her throat. "I mean, yeah, Nishinoya's part of the volleyball team. He's probably used to encouraging his teammates and stuff."
"Now that I think about it, you've never really been to his volleyball games, have you?"
Chiyo shrugged. "I'm not interested in sports."
"You sure you're not just saying that 'cause you're bad at it?" Honoka snickered.
"I'm not!" Chiyo frowned. "Besides, how fun can volleyball be? It's just a bunch of guys trying to hit a ball over the net, and wow, touch down! Three points!"
Honoka raised an eyebrow. "Okay, first of all, there were so many things wrong with that sentence. Second, you know he's gonna lose interest if you don't take some level of interest in his hobbies, right?"
"Why would I care?" Chiyo gave her friend an incredulous look. "He literally asked me out without even knowing my name! He's shallow, and cocky, and, and-!"
"Uh-huh," Honoka hummed dismissively. "Regardless, you gotta admit he's pretty cool. Enough to make your stomach get all the butterflies. I mean, your face is all red," she playfully poked at Chiyo's cheeks, to which she immediately slapped away.
"This is... It's 'cause it's hot out!" Chiyo reasoned. Honoka was right — her cheeks were scalding.
"Hey, Amari! The nurse is looking for you!" One of their classmates called out from the back.
"Anyways, excuse me." Huffing out a breath, Chiyo began to march off while Honoka waved after her.
"Good luck~!"
Tumblr media
The meeting with the nurse was uneventful. One of her classmates got hurt during the tug-of-war event, and the nurse simply called her back to update her on how said classmate was doing.
By the time she returned to the field, the relay race had already begun. She climbed onto the upper landing of the staircase and hugged the concrete pillar. From there, she could just see over the sea of heads to get a good idea of how the race was going.
They were in the third quarter of the race, and the batons were just about to be passed to the final runners. Their class was second, and the batons were coming in. Nishinoya began jogging forward, then broke into a full sprint the second the baton was safely in his hand.
Chiyo's hand clenched into a fist, resting stiffly against her chest. She could see Nishinoya pick up speed as they rounded the final corner, catching up to the girl who was in first place. Her heart was pounding in her ears, and she realized Nishinoya wasn't kidding. Nothing gets the crowd going more than when two runners are neck and neck for first place.
"You can do it," she murmured.
She saw him clench his teeth and started yelling, summoning the last of his energy as they crossed the finish line. Chiyo's eyes snapped to the scoreboard, elated to see Class 2-2 highlighted in red at first place. She figured Nishinoya must've seen the same thing because she soon heard him screaming.
"Let's go!" He threw his arms up in the air. Then immediately pointed his finger towards the crowd, skimming through the students in search of someone. "Crap, where are you?" He cussed before eventually giving up and opting to scream at the sky. "Did you see that?! That was for you, my future girlfriend!"
Chiyo jolted. Was he talking about her?
She pressed her hands to her cheeks, only to feel them heat up once more. Quickly, she climbed down the stairs and began weaving through the crowd of students. She wanted to talk to him — she needed to.
But by the time she reached a distance where she could call out to him, she realized that he was surrounded by people. Guys and girls, some from their class, some she didn't recognize. He was being praised, high-fived, and getting his hair ruffled. He laughed and threw his arms up in another cry for celebration.
For the first time, Chiyo noticed.
When did he get so popular?

I'll be there.
Oikawa x masc reader (he/they)
Support is something I just know that silly little volleyball captain craves from a s/o. This is about somebody who tries their hardest to give him that, even if sometimes it's a swing and a miss.
This one's in first person, y/n is the soccer captain at seijoh, dating Oikawa, yeah yeah you get it. the little ~~ means change in view or time, it'll make sense as you read.
[Side note: I play soccer, so if I write in another sport, it's always gonna be that until somebody tells me to do something else so yeah slay]
Word Count: 4233
~
Spring was always a busy time for me, but especially so this year. The captain of the volleyball team, Oikawa Tōru, and I had (to the dismay of his many fans) started dating. Not only were they devastated because surprise! He's gay, but now he was also taken. I loved it though, they'd swarm him and I'd infiltrate their ranks, my lovely Tōru only embracing me, not giving those girls a second glance. Sometimes I'd play with them and flirt with him loudly, just to see how long before they got so jealous they had to leave. Honestly such a fun game to play.
Anyway, spring was crazy this year because Tōru had a ton of volleyball shit going on, and I had soccer tournaments too. We'd made each other promise when we got serious that we'd make it to each other's games whenever we had the chance. Of course we both understood the importance of keeping grades and appearances up since we both wanted to go into the athletic field post-grad. However, we also understood the importance of supporting each other, so we really did try our best.
Sometimes for me that meant if I knew I had a game the same day or I wouldn't be able to be there for whatever reason, I came to practices leading up to it or took him out to dinner afterwards.
When I could make it, despite not totally understanding everything, I cheered louder than anybody else when Tōru was up for serve or if he did something especially dazzling.
Today, he would be playing against Karasuno, which he was especially excited about. He had been telling me all about it yesterday, I guess there was this Kageyama kid that he went to junior high with that he'd be playing against for the first time. He said that during a practice match they'd had not long ago, Kageyama and some other kid had done some kind of super fast move that had upset a lot of players on the team. He was really looking forward to cracking down on them, it was almost scary.
"You'll be there today right?" He asked me, shutting the door to his locker. I was leaning up against the others next to his, thinking about my schedule today.
"I should be, unless something comes out of the blue. I'm not anticipating anything getting in the way though." He grinned at me, his smile infectiously making its way onto my face. "You better not be lame." I threatened, but he brushed it off and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the cafeteria so we could get lunch.
"I'm never lame, and this game is gonna be fast paced so even you will find it entertaining, I can almost promise it." His hand gripped mine tightly, like he always did when he was excited or determined.
I smiled at him as we made our way down the stairs, "Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it later."
As we got our food and looked around for a place to sit, a few others from the volleyball team were furiously waving us over to them. Tōru dragged me over to them, despite my wanting to sit with guys from my team.
"Y/n! Are you coming to the game tonight? Gonna watch us kick Karasuno's ass?" Iwaizumi asked, I guess Tōru wasn't the only one hyped for this game.
"I should be, I've got nothing on my schedule for later. Is everybody so excited for this thing? I thought Karasuno wasn't any good at volleyball anymore." The team all shook their heads, everyone started talking at once about different people on the team and what they could do, a lot of the conversation based around the freak duo.
The team continued to chatter away about the game and everything they were looking forward to, I just quietly listened, catching every third word. Tōru's games were always in the evening which was nice because it meant they were usually just after when I finished up at practice. But, it also meant I had to either shower and change in a massive hurry and bolt to the gym, or I had to just go in my soccer stuff, I did a healthy balance of both.
My mind had drifted to thinking about what drills we'd be doing today, hoping that it wasn't going to be a push day since I wanted to get cleaned up before the game later. I felt a hand on my shoulder, lightly shaking me which brought me back to the present.
"You in there somewhere, y/n?" Tōru asked, I cracked a smile and briefly apologized for spacing out. "Do you really find my favorite sport in the world so boring?" I couldn't immediately tell if he was joking or not, so I decided to play it safe and assume he was serious.
"Of course not, I was just thinking about the plan for practice today, I might try to convince coach to let us have a rest day so I can have time to clean up before I come watch. I'd never think volleyball was boring, you play it after all." He seemed to like that answer.
Soon enough, the bell had rang and we parted ways with the rest of his team and went back up to our classrooms. I walked with Tōru to his and lingered with him until I really needed to get to my own. He pouted as I left him, but I just laughed at the stupid look on his face and made my way out.
When I got to my own class I found a few of my teammates talking to each other, greeting me as I entered.
"Hey captain! Excited for later today?" One of them asked, I naturally nodded, assuming he was talking about the volleyball game later. It looked like he was going to say something else, but our teacher entered and they quickly dispersed getting back into their seats.
The later half of the day went by slowly, but eventually we were released. Alongside my few teammates that were in my class, we headed down to the school's main gym so we could get changed before getting out to the field. My team had an interesting energy today, it seemed like they were all pretty pumped for practice even though it was a regular day.
I didn't say anything though, and focused on getting changed and making sure all my stuff was good to go in case I needed to get out quickly to catch Tōru's game. Needless to say, I was very determined to make it to this one. I hadn't been able to make it to one of Tōru's real games in a while since they nearly always lined up with my own, or I had practice matches with other teams during them.
I knew Tōru was always a bit let down that I couldn't watch him play as often as he wanted me to, and I honestly couldn't blame him. I, of course, loved it when he came to my games to support me but never really affected me when he wasn't there, at least not as much as it did him. Since I couldn't honestly remember the last game I had made it to, I was absolutely going to make it to this one. Plus, Tōru was beyond excited for this match and I wanted him to enjoy it as much as he could.
When I made it out onto the field, the coach greeted me and I helped him finish setting up cones and getting the practice jerseys and water stations set up. Soon enough practice had started and things were pretty normal for the first half, it was when we were taking our larger break that I noticed something different.
The managers were handing out our official away uniforms, as if we were going to be playing a game. It was odd enough that we were getting our uniforms, but to be getting the away ones was even stranger. Generally, if we hosted a match or practice match, we got to wear our home jerseys, and the other team would compensate for that and wear whichever of theirs differed from ours the most.
It's not as if I didn't like our away jerseys, I liked them better than the normal teal and white ones for sure. The away's had to be decently different from the home's so they were mainly black with white and turquoise details.
As our manager handed me mine, I thought to ask her what we needed them for.
"I thought we weren't having any practice games today, why are you handing out the uniforms?" She gave me a weird look.
"You don't remember? Coach said that Date Tech would be coming over for a practice match today because it was the only day that worked for them. He sent out a mass email about it a few days ago, don't you check your emails?" God why? Of all the days they had to surprise me with a practice match it had to be today?
I sighed, "I guess I must've missed it, thank you though." She looked puzzled at my lack of excitement towards the match, but didn't ask about it. "Hey coach?" I called, getting up to meet him before I got changed.
"Yeah, what's up--is something wrong? You look a little distressed." I nervously wrung my jersey as if it wasn't already bone dry.
"I just, didn't realize we had a practice match today. How long do you think it'll go for?" Coach was surprised at my question, usually I wanted these matches to go on forever but asking when it was over was new.
"Well, it all depends on you guys. We'll start as soon as they get here, but we're going to do a full match. It's what? 16hr right now?" I checked my watch, nodding. "Ok so we'll probably be done right around 18hr, maybe earlier but it depends."
I pursed my lips, sighing quickly but thanking him for humoring my questions. Tōru's game starts at 17hr 30m, and he said they usually last about an hour. I might be able to catch the last half or so if I hurry.
I watched the Date Tech bus pull in, and silently begged them to just go faster. I had no time to waste, I needed this game to start as soon as possible.
Luckily with everyone's excitement surrounding the match, they wanted to get going too, and things started shortly after the visitors offloaded their bus. We greeted each other, and play began shortly after.
When half time rolled around it was just turning 17hr, which meant after our ten minute break, we really would be finishing right at 18hr. I pulled out my phone to shoot Tōru a text, though I was sure he wouldn't read it since he was likely getting ready for his match.
Y/n [hey I'm not going to be on time to the match, I got blindsided by a practice game. I might be able to see the later half or so of the match]
I was going to just put my phone away after I sent it, but I saw that he had read the message, and the dots that meant he was typing.
Tōru [hope you can make it <3]
That was all I got. And I could practically feel the tribulation on his end through the simple message. I threw my phone back into my bag and put my palms into my eyes for a few moments, until I could tell I was being watched.
"You ok y/n?" Someone asked, I moved my hands from my eyes and looked up towards the voice. It was our goalie, and he was offering me a hand up.
I groaned, "I was supposed to go to Tōru's match that starts in thirty minutes, but now I don't know if I'll make it. I promised him I'd be there too, but I had no clue we had a match today." He gave me a very knowing look.
"Ah, yeah I get it. My girl's on the tennis team and our schedules never line up. Maybe these clouds will start doing something interesting and we'll get released early." I looked up at the sky and noticed that he may be right. The clouds were dark and looked about ready to dump some rain on us, I couldn't believe I hadn't noticed it earlier.
I loved playing in the rain, I thought it was fun and challenging but the coaches definitely didn't feel the same way, they saw it more as a danger since it made everything so slick. We had a tent set up so our stuff was never at risk of getting drenched, but soccer was an outdoor game and the weather was unpredictable.
Play resumed again, and as we went on I could feel droplets of water setting on my skin. Just a little downpour, please. Just enough to let me get outta here soon. As if the sky was listening to me, the droplets doubled in size and quantity and soon rain was coating the field and everyone on it.
"Alright everybody, we're gonna stop here for today and we'll pick this up again another day! Get your things and get inside to dry off!" The coaches were yelling, everybody running to the sidelines to get their shit and leave. I was probably the fastest, checking my watch it was 17hr 50m which meant Tōru had been playing for at least twenty minutes, and I was gonna make it before it ended.
I grabbed my things and about as quickly as I could, changed out of my cleats and into an old pair of sneakers I only ever wore outside because I didn't care how dirty they got. I threw on my jacket and ran to the street in front of Seijoh to try to get a taxi so I didn't have to try to run to the Sendai City Gym.
That, was where my luck ran out. The streets were empty, not a taxi in sight which meant I had to call for one and wait for it to show up. Thankfully there was one nearby and it didn't take too long to show up but I was losing time. The driver handed me a towel she had on hand and told me to dry myself off as well as I could because she didn't want water all over her cab. I apologized profusely as I did my best to dry myself off.
We arrived at the gym a handful of minutes later, the kind taxi driver giving me a disposable umbrella she had, telling me to not get drenched again. I thanked her over and over while I gave her some cash for the ride, and ran as fast as I could to the gym's entrance. When I got there I quickly changed out of my disgusting shoes, shoving them into my bag and pulling out a cleaner pair of hightops to wear. I ran into the bathroom to take a look at myself, running my hands through my hair a few times and dabbing off some residual rain and sweat that I'd missed while in the taxi.
When I deemed myself mostly presentable I jogged through the building until I heard the sounds of volleyball. There were a few different sections that had teams going, and to my luck Tōru's was the last one I checked. I ran up the stairs leading to the bleachers, but didn't bother to find a seat, I just got as close as I could to where Tōru was on the court.
I looked at the score, it was the third set, and about in the middle from what I knew about the volleyball score system. I looked around the court, recognizing a few players on the other team from what I had heard, and noting the positions of everyone on Tōru's team.
To my joy, he was going in to serve next. I tried calling out to him, but the crowd of Seijoh supporters drowned me out. Luckily I caught Iwaizumi's eye, a grin appearing on his face when he realized that I'd made it. I couldn't hear anything he was saying, but as the team was quickly transitioning he got Tōru's attention and pointed up at me.
When his eyes met mine, I could immediately see a change in his demeanor, his eyes lighting up with a vigor unlike anyone else. He made a small heart with his hands as he walked back behind the court line, I returned the gesture, and Tōru started his serving routine.
The rest of the game flew by, it really was one of the most captivating volleyball games I'd seen. Both teams fought viciously; any bystander could feel the hunger between the two teams, but our team's skill was just higher than the other's. The match ended with Seijoh on top, 33-31, and upon their win I ran down to the entrance to the gym so I could meet Tōru.
~
I had been beyond crestfallen when I'd gotten the text from y/n saying that they had a practice match. It had been ages since they'd come to one of my games, so I was really looking forward to having him here, but I should've known that something would come up.
Iwa thinks that's why we lost the second set, because I thought y/n would have arrived by then, but ultimately didn't show. If I'm being honest, I had given up on them showing up, I knew he wouldn't abandon his team or a practice match just to watch my game.
To say I was shocked when Iwa yelled at me to look in the stands, is a major understatement. When I saw them there, waving and smiling at me from the stands, nearly falling into the court from leaning so hard against the rail, I knew my heart skipped a beat or two. He looked a bit crazy, if I had to guess it was raining and he just sped from his game to here without changing. They looked fantastic in their soccer uniform, the jersey being a bit snug helped show off some of his great features, plus his skin glistened from the rain and probably sweat that coated his skin. That is, not to mention, the look on his face as they watched me, pride and love just emanating from his eyes and smile.
I felt a new energy run through me after I saw them, and we battled the shit out of Karasuno, but they held their ground. I was almost happy for Tobio, he played...better than he used to. I wouldn't say well or great, but he was improving if ever slowly.
When the match ended and we thanked the fans, I didn't see y/n up there anymore, but I wasn't worried. I knew where they'd be.
As we wrapped things up, I half-ran to the entrance of the gym and saw my lovely partner waiting for me. They nearly tackled me in a hug, telling me how proud they were and how incredible the game was. It felt amazing to hear that, and to know that they actually had seen me play rather than had just heard me tell him about it.
I kissed him when he had paused, and I could feel him smiling beneath my lips. He laced his fingers together and rested them on my lower back, keeping me closer to them while my hands were on his face. We stayed like that for a few minutes, trading kisses and just enjoying the moment we had together that came so rarely.
Eventually, y/n pulled their face away from mine and watched my eyes for a handful of seconds before he decided to say anything.
"I told you I'd be here." They said, a slight smirk emerging on their face.
I rolled my eyes, "You said that you'd be able to watch the whole thing! You only got to see the last half of the final set!" He pulled his hands off of my back and put them up in front of him defensively.
"Hey it's not my fault! I checked my email again and I didn't see anything from anybody about a match today! I really did think I had the day off from practice matches!" I sighed as dramatically as I could, and let the topic drop.
Though suddenly remembering what he'd looked like when they'd got here I asked, "Why did you look soaked when you got here? And you're still in your uniform and your hair is..." My eyes widened a bit, and y/n laughed, coming his hands through their wet hair a few times, catching a snag or two from whatever had gotten it so wet and frazzled.
"We were still playing our match when it started just dumping rain, and the coaches canceled the rest of it. Since it was just Date Tech and they're not too far away, they didn't feel bad about canceling the match rather than trying to move it inside." I hummed, that made enough sense. "I had to call a taxi to get here though, and that poor driver was so mad at me for getting in her car soaked through, so she tossed me a towel and a disposable umbrella and I tried to dry off before I got here." They gestured to the somewhat dryer parts of their uniform, but shook their head chuckling in defeat. "I guess I didn't do a great job."
"Yeah you're gross, and in desperate need of a shower and dry clothing." Y/n only aggressively nodded, but claimed that all of their stuff was either still in his locker at the school or super dirty and in his bag.
I was trying to think of something to do when Iwa joined us, laughing at y/n's state. They joked back and forth about how gross the other looked, when Iwa tossed me my duffle bag. "You left this in the gym, I thought maybe you'd forgotten it. And dude," He said shaking his head at y/n, "You seriously gotta do something, you smell like shit."
"Thank you so much Iwa I had no idea, your input is so appreciated and valued and will be thought about heavily throughout the rest of my life." Y/n loudly and sarcastically proclaimed.
"Damn right!" Iwa sneered back, their bickering finally coming to an end. Iwa excused himself to help pack up the team's things, and it was just me and y/n again.
Looking down at the bag Iwa had thrown to me, I had an idea. "Y/n," I said, gathering his attention from his previous interaction, "I've got a spare club t-shirt and a pair of sweats in here that you can wear after you rinse off. I'll just put my jacket on and wear my uniform on the way back."
He tried to protest, insisting that I get changed since I just finished a game, but I wouldn't have it. Y/n was almost shivering and I could tell he was trying to hide it, they were barely dry from the rain, and they'd worked hard during the practice match not that long ago. When he'd conceded, I showed them where the showers were and left my bag with him, deciding to just sit outside the room and wait for him.
I pulled out my phone, and found that there were a handful of notifications from different social apps and my messages. I checked my messages first, seeing that they were nearly all from y/n, he'd texted me what they thought of a play every time it happened. I smiled, that was one of their more adorable habits. The other notifications were mentions from pictures that y/n had added to their stories or had just posted of me and the team.
I loved having y/n here to watch my games, I loved having their support and their love during these important times of my life. It meant the world to me that they supported me through all of this, even if they couldn't watch the game live. I could only hope to return the favor the next game they had.
Y/n emerged from the washroom, now looking much more put together, and also looking quite well in my clothes. They were a bit small on them in a few places, but I knew they wouldn't mind, and I certainly didn't care either.
"I saw your messages, and the stuff you posted, all very cute!" I grinned, him smiling back at me and taking my free hand, helping me stand up.
"I've gotta let the world know how proud and lucky I am to be with you." I felt my face flush, and he took the opportunity to land a quick kiss on my lips before pulling me towards the exit of the building. "Come on sunshine, we can't keep everybody waiting, they'll start making up stories."
I knew he was right, and together we went back out to meet everyone else.

Can I ask, who are your top favorite romantic couples (can be canon or non canon) of all time from any media? Why you love them? Thx :D
here i go with another grand list that i was very happy to write! i’m in love with these asks, really. i’ll mention all of them, but at first i was in doubt if i could include one that isn’t ‘canon’, but rather rpf. either way, i added bonus couples for good reasoning! let’s go.
Tumblr media
1. wangxian (lan wangji x wei wuxian), from mo dao zu shi — they are THE moment, they are THE couple, they are THE goals. who ever could have imagined someone would come up and write a troublemaker who falls into demonic arts and gets reincarnated to fight together with a sucker-for-rules expressionless man and make it work? they fit into any au as well, this fandom rocks. my lovely cultivators!
Tumblr media
2. kagehina (kageyama tobio x hinata shouyou), from haikyuu!! — i dont even play volleyball. i dont even like sports! why do i love this anime and this duo specifically so much? they are so passionate about their hobbies, the rivalry and frenemy relationship? the POTENTIAL. the STORY they have. the "someone better will come and find you" promise. sheer beauty. they are silly and fresh and cute and i dont think i'll ever get tired of it.
Tumblr media
3. yizhan (wang yibo x xiao zhan), from the untamed cast rpf — i know all the problematics about writing real person fiction. i KNOW, okay?? but people, let me like them and support them in peace?? 😔 i have so much love for these men, and its overall hella fun following their life unfold, even if they are not working together anymore. nonetheless, they are my dose of serotonin when i need it.
Tumblr media
4. daiharu (kambe daisuke x katou haru), from fugou keiji: balance unlimited — i will not scream for a seson 2 here. i will scream for more FICS of them here! there ain't enough! its not even about the 'sugar daddy' appeal, its more about the 'partners in (solving) crime' appeal. oh and also the 'i hate you you arrogant prick but i WILL do anything for you' part. everything and every detail of this show.... seriously though: gold.
Tumblr media
5. hilson (gregory house x james wilson), from house m.d — oh, my sweet stupid and repressed doctors, i would do unspeakable things for you. wilson has been through every hard moment of house's life. you can name them, he's been there. through every ridiculous situation of his too. it is overwhelming, honestly. the ending couldn't have been more reasonable and fitting for them, in my opinion.
Tumblr media
6. hannigram (hannibal lecter x will graham), from hannibal — this gif alone of them with scratches and smiling conspiratorily to each other sums up their entire dynamic. they're toxic and no one's doing it like them. like, yeah, no shit, who would even dare, right? murder husbands can do anything and eat the rude as much as they want, i will be sipping on my drink and watching intently. (man truly looked at this detective he framed for murder and said he would remember their moment together forever??? just dont throw him in jail then???)
Tumblr media
7. shiguang (lu guang x cheng xiaoshi), from link click — these pretty boys traveling through time invented the concept of yearning, and i will not explain more to not give season 2 spoilers. i fell in love with them as soon as i saw the first shot of the anime. it doesnt help that they have the same dynamic as wangxian, too. cheng xiaoshi, my beloved, you would never do anything to harm anyone (not purposefully) and i (as well as lu guang) worship you 🙏
Tumblr media
8. renga (hasegawa langa x kyan reki), from sk8: the infinity — let's be true tho, can they never do a sports anime without pulling up homosexuals?? not that im complaining at all. please continue, in fact. every couple in this story is valid (adam does not exist), and i love this spirited, young concept of redescovering the beauty of a hobbie. lovely, all of them, but most specially my langa and his admiration for reki. their dynamic has no complications, its just so sweet.
Tumblr media
9. moshang (mobei jun x shang qinghua), from the scum villain self-saving system — i will not share a pic of moshang official art because i find shang qinghua appearence too much childlike and annoying, meanwhile i find him much more interesting in the book and fanarts. in any case, i love this couple more than the main couple simply because our airplane-bro can make everything so hilarious. there are fics of them out there which are peak entertainment (check this one!). mobei's tsundere attitude and shang qinghua's shamelessness are a great combo.
Tumblr media
10. hualing (hua cheng x xie lian), from heaven official’s blessing — the longing is unbearable. hua cheng loves this man so much, for real. waiting 800 fucking years?? being his most devoted believer? can you believe the audacity?? my man, though he has low self-steem, does anything to protect his god. he doesnt care about any realm. he only cares for xie lian, his dear god. they are the cutest couple.
Tumblr media
bonus: aziracrow, johnlock, tododeku, victuuri, blackbonnet, mafuyama, redblue (from this is how you lose the time war).
these are my favorite ships ever! they are what i scream about alternatively, and when i say so, i'm not joking. one week i'm freaking out over new link click content and in the other one i'm reviewing house m.d episodes. my life's a circle with my favorite ships in it and i ain't regretting anything.
thank you for asking, by the way! big hugs! 🤍

Forbidden Part 1
Tumblr media
I have so many parts to post before I can get up to date with this story! Student/Professor AU. Cliché as fuck I know but it has been so much fun to write 🖤
Words: 2.2k
Warnings: None really for this part… just Van’s skin tight jeans 🤭
Story Masterlist Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
"Remember the coursework's due in on Friday. The deadline's 2pm. I won't be accepting any excuses."
You feel your heart sink at your lecturer's words. You'd barely even cobbled together enough material to write a 1000 word report, let alone the mammoth 6000 word essay that needed to be submitted. And it definitely needed to be submitted. You were barely scraping through as it was, teetering on the edge of failure. Another unsatisfactory module mark and your chances of progressing on to the second year were looking pretty bleak.
It's not that you couldn't cope with the content of the BA History course you'd joined the previous year in September. You were certainly bright enough. In fact with your A Level grades you had probably sold yourself short in picking your current university. You'd not chosen it on its academic merits or league table rankings though, you'd blindly followed your boyfriend there who'd bagged himself a full sports scholarship playing football whilst studying Sports Science. What you hadn't banked on was finding him in a compromising position with the student coach of the ladies volleyball team only a month into the first semester.
Things had swiftly gone downhill from there. All of a sudden poring over textbooks in the evening was replaced with downing shots in the Students Union bar. You told yourself you were having fun, you were only young once, it was just the first term, you had plenty of time to buckle down and better your weak grades after Christmas, but unfortunately your first semester exam marks were a harsh wake up call. If you didn't pull your socks up you'd be out of the course and off campus by the time early summer rolled around. And then Professor McCann came on to the scene...
Professor Ryan Evan McCann or 'Van' as he urged the students to call him was a recent addition to the Faculty staff. Fresh from his PhD studies and eager to teach, he'd fast become a firm favourite amongst both staff and students alike. He was friendly, enthusiastic and always took the time to explain the course content thoroughly. But it wasn't just his engaging teaching style which saw his module fast oversubscribed with keen students. He was drop dead gorgeous, and the flurry of excited whispers that had flowed around the lecture theatre when he'd stepped up to the lectern to deliver a short introduction on semester two options day had less to do with real excitement for the subject, and more to do with the tightness of his skinny jeans and his piercing blue eyes. You could practically hear the collective sigh from most of the females in the room... and a few of the males too.
And now here you were, three weeks into the term, your self-made promises of turning over a new leaf looking more and more like empty vows as night after night you ventured out rather than taking your studies seriously. Not even the thought of impressing your attractive professor was enough to tempt you away from two-for-one cocktails at the Union club nights.
In fact he'd been the main reason you'd been out until two in the morning the night before. It had started innocently enough. Loud cheers and cheeky remarks as the usual gang of revellers from your hall of residence had spotted Van and a male colleague enjoying a quiet early evening pint in the corner of a bar in the town centre. You'd struck up banter backwards and forwards across the room until Van had caved and agreed to join you all at the next bar in your planned pub crawl. Pint after pint had been sunk, and soon enough it was impossible to tell exactly who the responsible adult was. You'd all seen another side to Professor McCann, a fun, reckless, impulsive side which only served to make him all the more attractive. If only you'd not had that last cocktail you probably would have been able to restrain yourself.
You cringed internally as you recalled bumping into him as he was coming out of the toilets at the nightclub you'd ended up at. How you'd grabbed the lapels of his shirt and backed him into the wall of the narrow corridor, showering him with compliments which he'd awkwardly rebuffed. If you'd left it at that you probably could have laughed it off, kept your head down for a few lectures and there would have been no harm done, but you hadn't. Spurred on by your drunken state and your worries about flunking the course, you did something bad. Something you weren't going to recover from with a flushed face and an awkward apology.
You'd propositioned him.
One hand flat against the wall, the other toying with his belt buckle before slipping down to firmly caress between his legs as he looked back at you wide-eyed and disbelievingly.
"So... Sir," you'd slurred, voice thick with inebriation. "Is there anything I can do to help me pass your module this semester?"
You'd seen a spark of something in his eyes, but it was only fleeting. He'd quickly recovered, firmly pushing you back, hands on your shoulders, spinning you around so you were now the one against the wall.
"Y/N... you're drunk," he'd stated. "I'd think very carefully about your next actions if I were you or you're going to get yourself into a situation that's beyond your control."
"Ooh... d'ya like being in control then?" You'd giggled, pouting suggestively, reaching for him again.
He'd grabbed your wrists, hard, his grip firm as he pushed them back against the wall. "I mean it. Don't make me do something I'll regret."
His eyes flashed dangerously, boring into you for a long moment before he pushed himself back from the wall, releasing you and then stepping away, muttering that he was leaving.
You let him go.
It was supposed to be a warning, a show of his authority to deter you, but it didn't have the desired effect. In fact it did the exact opposite, and as you stumbled home and into bed that night all you could think of was his hands on your wrists, pinning you back against the wall. How it would feel if his lips had met yours and his body had pressed against you.
You fell asleep that night full of thoughts of him running through your head and woke up just hours later, hungover and restless, your head pounding.
"Come on Y/N, you've got a 9 o' clock lecture. You can't be late again."
Your best friend and room-mate Lizzie had appeared at your bedside, holding a glass of water in one hand and a couple of paracetamol in her other open palm. You'd raised your head stiffly, blinking at the harsh sunlight and groaning before sinking your head back down into your pillow face-first.
"Y/N!" she'd grumbled, louder this time. "Hangover or not, you're gonna be in so much trouble if you don't go to McCann's lecture."
The sound of his name reverberated around your head, bringing to mind images of you blatantly  throwing yourself at him the previous night. You considered just pulling the covers up over your head and blocking out the day, but you knew Lizzie was right. If Van decided to fail you then you were out, no second chances. If you even still had a place on the course after your shameful behaviour.
You'd grudgingly dragged yourself out of bed, dutifully swallowing the painkillers and the entire glass of water, then slunk off to the shower.
You'd kept your head down, quite literally, for the whole of your two hour lecture. If it had been any other academic up there presenting the material you would surely have dozed off by now, but you weren't going to miss a second of Van. It captivated you how he commanded every student's attention, his obvious enthusiasm shining through as he animatedly delivered the lecture. And what's more, despite being out until the early hours on a brutal pub crawl like you were, he didn't look hungover at all. In fact he looked fresh as a daisy and even more devastatingly handsome than normal. How the fuck did he even do that?
"Remember the coursework's due in on Friday. The deadline's 2pm. I won't be accepting any excuses."
So here you are, fuzzy-headed and shame-faced, trying to keep your head down as you merge into the steady stream of students as they file out of the lecture room. A sigh of relief is waiting with the big inhale you've taken as you step past Van, eyes fixed firmly on the carpet as you notice his boots in your peripheral vision. You’re nearly there, the threshold of the doorway just inches away...
"Y/N... I'd like a word please."
It isn’t a question. You don’t have a choice. You stop in your tracks, letting the remaining students slip past you, waiting until the last one walks through the exit and the door’s closed behind them.
It’s quiet in the room, stiflingly so, and it makes your heart pound with a raw kind of nervousness as you turn slowly, eventually looking up at Van as you come to a stop facing him.
You’re expecting him to look stern and disappointed in you, a disapproving glare to show that you've let him and yourself down, so when you clock the slight smirk simmering at the edge of his lips you’re taken aback. Your cheeks flush a deep shade of scarlet as he holds you locked in his gaze.
"How's the head?"
You giggle girlishly, overcome with a shyness that doesn’t usually afflict you, shifting your weight from one foot to the other. "Oh, it's... errr... it's... I've been better I suppose... Look... about last night..."
You tail off, see his eyebrows raise expectantly as he cocks his head to look at you, his smirk widening. He knows you’re mortified and he’s thoroughly enjoying this. This is how he’s going to punish you, but you deserve to squirm. You suppose a touch of humiliation is a small price to pay for your actions. Especially as trying to bribe your way into an academic's pants to get an honours degree is grounds for an instant expulsion.
You carry on awkwardly, stumbling over your words, tongue-tied and pathetic. "I'm... really sorry. I was just... drunk... I... errr... I didn't really mean it."
"So what did you mean Y/N? Do you want to enlighten me?"
He takes a step towards you and you counter it, then another and another and then you feel your back hit the wall. You take a deep breath, holding it, your mind scrambling for a fitting response.
"I just... I... I don't know..."
"You thought you'd just suck my cock and I'd award you a First? Is that it?"
This hits you like a slap in the face and you let your exhale go quickly, your mouth falling agape.
It’s the way he says it, matter-of-factly like you’re discussing a mundane topic and not a sexual act in payment for your success. He isn’t flustered in the slightest, in fact he looks calm and collected. In control. It makes your heart race and that wild, wayward part of you come to life. The part that takes chances and doesn’t conform.
You look at him right back, a challenge you aren’t backing down from.
"And what if I was? What then?"
A spark lights in his eyes and he isn’t hiding it this time, it simmers there with a tension that you feel in every fibre of your being as your nerve endings bristle with electricity.
"Well... I couldn't just leave it ignored. You'd need to be punished of course."
His words light a fire between your legs as a dark part of you stirs and comes to life. Your pulse races and your breathing deepens.
"Van..." you begin, but your words don't come.
They catch in your throat as he leans in, one hand flat on the wall and the other rising up, two of his fingers trailing gently down your jaw. You swallow deeply, anticipation thick in the air as his fingers come to rest on your chin, tipping your head back so you have no choice but to look up at him.
"It's not Van to you, it's Sir... You got that?"
"Yes... Sir..."
It comes out like a whisper, breathy and full of desire. His lips curl up into a devilish smile as he looks down on you. There’s a long moment where you just look at each other, your heart thudding hard in your chest, your fingers twitching at your sides as you long to reach out for him, tangle your fingers in his hair, grasp at his hips as you push your own against him. Anything... anything to satisfy the ache between your thighs.
But it isn’t happening. He steps back, eyes still on you as he backs up, watching you carefully.
"Don't be late for my lecture tomorrow... or there will be consequences."
Then you watch as he turns and walks away, pushing through the door without so much as a look behind him, leaving you there breathless and wanting, coiled tightly like a spring.

Nash and Jason dating someone who plays a sport? like volleyball maybe
Sporty Girlfriend
Pairing: Jason Silver x Reader/Nash Gold Jr x Reader
A/N: Thank you for requesting! 😚 I haven’t forgotten ya’ll, I promise!
Summary: Jason and Nash with their sporty girlfriends.
Jason
Jason don’t know nothing bout no volleyball but watching you on that court? He bout to learn today.
You and your teammates got that aggressive play that keeps the other teams scrambling to keep up and it’s hilarious watching them struggle.
His favorite thing about the sport though, for real? It’s the uniform.
Ooh-WEE. Ain’t nothing quite like a baddie in sport shorts.
Not short shorts.
Sport shorts.
Them volleyball spanks got his boo looking RIGHT, m’kay? He be grabbing you up by your hips after every game cuz he has to.
“Were you paying attention this time?”
“Why you gotta grill me every time you come out? I was paying attention!”
“Alright,” you lean back and give him the squinty eyes, “what was the score then?”
“‘Nuff for you to win.” 😁
“You know what…” You sigh and shake your head. “Nevermind, let me down.”
“Nah, you good up here.”
I swear he was paying attention to the game play,it’s just… the booty was calling his name…
Your teammates couldn’t stop staring at Jason when he first came around.
“Oh my gawd…”
“Right?! Y/n really hopped into Space Jam and stole one of the MonStars!”
They got used to him eventually, and sometimes you’ll hear him talking about you to them after games.
“It’s easy to tell when she be in the zone. Watch, she be like…” He over here bending down with his hands on his knees, back dipped down, his butt poking out, mimicking your voice. “Come on ya’ll, we need this next point!”
The girls laugh, but when they see you behind Jason, they look around, suddenly finding a lot of other things interesting.
-coughing- “Turn around genius.”
He does. “Hey! Heyyyyy, baby, you did so good this game!”
Your crossed arms and quirked eyebrow tell him he’s busted.
“You talking bout me?”
“I was just playing, you know, you got that lil thing you be doing-“
“I don’t bend like that!” 💀
“No, you don’t bend on me like that!” He shuts up when you throw your water bottle at him. Even so, he’s not taking your attitude seriously.
What you gonna do, beat him up for being honest? You do poke your butt out. Shoot, all the time he spend looking, he would know.
-----
Practicing when Jason is around is decidedly not the move.
He has so many times to do something with you while you’re free, but for some reason he likes to wait til he sees you about to warm up before you start training.
He’s coming and it’s not to save the day.
“Uh-oh, what we doin’?”
You immediately straighten up from touching your toes. “Jason nooOooo, don’t come over here! Go find something to do!”
“I’m bout to, I’m bout to! Bend back over real quick~.” 😈
Like, where is this coming from, he couldn’t try to mess with you earlier? Now he’s distracting you and (sometimes) making you laugh and now half your session is the two of you messing around until you find a way to banish him.
That’s why you gotta train when he ain’t around, he play too much.
Very much the kind of guy who reminds you to have fun with what you’re doing.
There will be no sticks up your butt with him.
Nash
Dang, is this your man or your personal trainer?
He stay with the regimens, and he is pushy about it. Healthy diet, regular check ups, steady exercising schedule.
“Dang, the only thing missing is vacation time!”
You laugh, but he actually has that on there too…
It’s annoying if you don’t like being told what to do, but you gotta admit it, it works. He carefully tailors everything to fit your habits, your limits, and your preferences, all that.
Watching you play is something else, especially when you’re in the zone.
What are you? Spiker? Libero? Middle Blocker? Never mind, it don’t even matter.
No matter where you are on that court, no matter what your role, every move you make is heated, animalistic instinct.
You and your teammates are often compared to sharks in the water, and when the ball is on your side, everyone can see why.
It’s that powerful, frenzied-yet-calculated kind of play that makes it so much fun to watch. He doesn’t get to do it as often as he’d like, being an athlete himself, but he makes the most of every chance he gets.
Unlike Jason, Nash will seriously work out with you and help you practice if you feel like you’re lacking in some way.
There are times when you feel pressured to train nonstop, but Nash ain’t bout to let you run yourself ragged for any reason.
He wants you to be able to play without abandon, but sometimes you need a break.
-----
He goes a teensy bit overboard with the rest and recovery when it comes to injuries.
Don’t even attempt to do anything yourself before you’re done healing, Nash don’t play that.
It’s bad enough you got hurt in the first place, now you’re about to make it worse moving around trying to lift stuff, get to the fridge, ect.?
Nah baby, that ain’t happening. You can argue your case all you want but at the end of the day, you’re the injured party and he’s bigger than you so he’s gonna get his way.
“If you need something just ask me!”
“Nash, don’t even start, I can do stuff independently at this point!”
“You can get some independent rest, go lay back down.”
And then you get carried back to the little Squishmallow nest he’s made for you, and you gotta stay there til the doctor says you’re good to go. Lowkey on some Yandere kidnapping mess.
Can’t leave the room unless he’s helping you, can’t pick your own food, can’t do nothing. 💀
“Nash move, this is overkill!” You try one more time to get him to chill the hell out.
He just leans over you and kisses your pout. “Next time you’ll play more carefully, won’t you doll~.”
Just this once, he will bring you junk food and not make a big deal out of it.
“Spoiled brat.” Shaking his head in feigned disappointment.
“But you did that, tho.”
“….Damn, I did.”

Ayo! I'm Gabi (h/th), and from this point onward, I'll be writing Lee Jiuk (h/h, 2002 liner)! He's that one annoying jock that, no matter how much you tried to hate him in high school, you just couldn't. He makes you think of the simpler days of pep rallies and playing H.O.R.S.E. with your friends, especially when he smiles, and though he's competitive, he practices good sportsmanship; making him an asset to any team he's on. Sure, he can be a little crass, brutally honest, and insensitive, but he genuinely has no malicious intent. A lovable head-ass, if I do say so myself. Get to know him more below and "like" this post to plot. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
HISTORY
Lee Jiuk had a relatively simple upbringing. His parents, though stoic, loved him very much and were proud of his athletic accomplishments. His dad jokes that he ran before he walked, and that he dove headfirst into the water much younger than any of his peers, bravely teaching himself to swim. They knew he'd do great things, and while he didn't get the best grades, they were good enough to keep him on his teams. He's dabbled in volleyball, track and field, basketball, football, and swimming; the latter three being the first loves of his life. LGC Entertainment scouted him for his visuals one month prior to his high school graduation, and he's been focusing on succeeding there for the time being, all while attending classes at Korea National Sport University.
PERSONALITY
Not to be obnoxious, but Jiuk is really fucking cool. I even get annoyed by how likable he is. Does he have his faults? Of course. For example, he's not someone who deeply considers someone's feelings before speaking, and as he's a brutally honest individual, some of his opinions or thrown-in two cents can come across as hurtful to those who are more sensitive, but he's never mean. He's frank, not callous. Maybe this makes him somewhat careless, too, but he personally sees it as him standing by his word.
He's also an adventurous person, someone who never says "no" to trying new things. He's the type who'll one day decide he wants to go sky diving or bungee jumping just because, and he'll drag you out with him even if you have a fear of heights. He doesn't care if you're scared. He'll say that he'll protect you; that this will be a fun once-in-a-lifetime experience and you'll be dumb if you passed on it; that he wants to spend time with you and make this memory with you. His charm works, which is the irritating part.
Can he be a a bit of a tool sometimes? I mean, yeah. Like all men, he can be a dog. He may be a golden retriever boyfriend, but that doesn't mean he's not weak when it comes to his own desires. This also makes him vain. He wants to look good, knows it only makes life easier to be striking; handsome. He works out, still plays sports in his downtime, and adores being active. He's confident enough to understand why he was scouted by LGC Entertainment. This said, he's somewhat superficial, too. He appreciates beauty in others, especially the men pique his interest.
Get to know him. I promise he's a good time.
PLOTTING
I'm a brainstormer. I'm not a big fan of pre-made plots. Let's talk!

BIOGRAPHY
Began dance at the age of two and had been doing it professionally ever since.
Mai was born and raised in Japan but found she never quite belonged in her world, which is why she took up the mantle of being a professional dancer at a young age and then a pop idol. The Borderlands were her first real home.
Her family heavily pushed her to continue with dance and gymnastics, hoping Mai could one day become world famous. While she appreciated the support, her training and career were both isolating. This was her primary career focus until she discovered her love for singing. She had just started out on her journey to become a pop idol when she ended up in the Borderlands.
She longed to be part of a team where you could play together than against. Dancing and gymnastics were a solo route, and Mai had always preferred sports but never had time to actually commit to clubs other than dance. Maybe in another life she would’ve been Queen of Spades.
Not fast enough, not perfect enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, not strong enough, not flexible enough, not enough not enough. Perfection was drilled into her brain, which is why Mai now has a tendency to be rather lazy when it comes to doing things and appears the opposite of her prim and proper dance look out of rebellion in the Borderlands (coloring her hair and the embracing of neon colors were the first taste of freedom and a high she's chased ever since).
A firm believer in fate, Mai believes she wished to end up in the Borderlands over fear of failure. It's been her biggest, silliest, most superstitious regret. Be careful what you wish for.
Mai's first game was ironically a Clubs game where she witnessed the power of everyone working together. Complete strangers from different worlds and backgrounds joining forces and working as one. It moved her, and she found her specialty.
Her turning point, however, and determination to become a citizen later down the road and keep playing the games was from her canon event: the loss of her best friend. Be who you want to be, had been her friend's last words. The acceptance of who she was and wanted to be was exactly what the Borderlands had showed her. Her best friend would probably disagree with her bestie's choice.
Risa, now Queen of Spades, was the first person she met in the Borderlands and someone she greatly admires. Mai's game's outfit was greatly influenced by both her dance background and the woman that inspired her to live after saving her life while dealing with the loss of her friend. They often train together to keep one another in shape, and Mai can often be found at the Queen of Spades' game location running, jumping and leaping around the rig.
In her game of Dodgeball you have to team up and you and your teammate both have to live in order to win. The beams players are required to stand their ground on are the same exact as that of your average sidewalk. It's not against the rules to jump from beam to beam, but you lose if you fall.

does it get better? my uni experience isnt what i wish it was, finding friends and hanging out lots. i'm terrified of never finding a community of friends. to stay lonely. i try and try and still dont find myself forming meaningful friendships
Sweetheart my college years were actually my worst ones in my life. The isolation, the FOMO, not having friends and the loneliness (and the mental illness looooooolll). It 110% does get better I promise you. I’m so much more happy and whole now.
After college you’ll find a job (just something to make money is good enough) and you’ll have the means to live a life closer to what you want. You won’t have homework, classes, or tests. You’ll have more freedom and control over your life and your environment, and so you’ll have more room to make yourself happy.
The first thing I did after I got my car, my job, my apartment, etc was to rekindle an old passion and play volleyball again. I started playing pickups. And after a couple months I made friends who invited me to things. And now I have a thriving social life for the first time in over a decade. I think the key is to notice what you love and plug yourself into a community focused on that very specific thing. College is so big and all-over-the-place and if you’re not into partying and travel and whatever else the kids are doing you’re gonna feel left behind. But when you’re out and have a little bit of money you can insert yourself into a very specific community and bond with people over a shared passion.
I have volleyball friends who love me, who notice my absence, who want to play with me, and I have a sense of belonging and people with whom I can share my passion and grow my talents with. So my advice is to take your college years to discover what you like and don’t like and give yourself something to look forward to when you get out. And once you get out join something. Anything. It can be a religious community, volunteering, club/beer league sports, craft circles, book clubs, board game nights, adult music ensembles, extracurricular classes, walking/biking/hiking groups —anything that you think is fun and you can commit to at least one or two nights every week. There are actually a lot of very cool adult activities and communities. When you have a very specific passion and you surround yourself with people who share it it is infinitely easier to make friends because you are guaranteed at least one common bond. And you become part of a family or community which can build your sense of belonging and purpose.
Lonely adults don’t have a social hobby/activity outside of work/school. Don’t be that guy. Get over your nerves and your sadness and sign up for something. It’ll literally change your life when you find your thing and your people.

Requiemverse headcanon: Bumblebee’s regeneration power
It’s no secret that bumblebee in TLK has shown to possessed the power to attach and remove his parts at Will and the worst part is that they never stated or talked about how’s even that possible or when did he get it. LIKE HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?
Well in the requiemverse Bee’s power was a blessing from the Allspark. Specifically Allspark fragment that Sam has that indirectly caused bee to obtain the power without even noticing it. That power wasn’t even active UNTIL the time between after AOE and pre last knight.
Now another is question that y’all have is that fragment didn’t restore Bee’s voice oh the answer is it did. Until the Execution happened and got his Voice box ripped out of him. BRO CANT CATCH A BREAK.
I decided to give it draw backs to that ability is that as long Bee’s limbs are intact, he can just do what he wants with them. However if one of his limbs are broken let’s say for example his leg was destroyed he can’t recall it back and hurts like hell. Also Bee can still feel pain from the limbs that are separated from his body, so he’s extra careful not to have his limbs blasted or crushed when he’s using it. Especially the head and spark ad they are his vital weaknesses,
Bumblebee used this ability a lot to get the element of surprise from his enemies. When Bee dispersed the first time in front of everyone, they collectively had a heart attack only for bee to put himself together later disoriented and confused of what happened. Later on Bee slowly figured out how it works and how to use it. But dispersing can hurt at times but got used of it.
However recently Bee started to use that ability for fun at times to goof around with his pals and pull prank on his unsuspecting friends and fellow Autobots (Simmons, Mikela, and etc..) they’re reactions are just priceless to him. Or to play sports with his Limbs.
It went like this
Bee: Hey Simmons pull my finger!!
Simmons: WHY THE FUCK DO I WANT TO DO THAT???!!
Bee: Don’t worry it’s not a Fart Joke and I promise!!
Simmons: I swear to god if you decide to pull that shit like when you pi-
Bee: PULL THE FUCKING FINGER SIMMONS!!!!
Simmons: Fine! *Pulls the finger*
*Bee’s hand falls off on the floor and gets pulled back together*
Simmons: *Screams in confusion*
Bee: >:3
However this can’t be said for OP. Cause man the Prime didn’t even knew about that regeneration power until he literally had a heart (Spark?) attack of seeing Crosshairs, Hot Rod, Drift and sunstreaker playing Volleyball with Bumblebee’s head that is protected with an ungodly amount of bubble wrap (Thanks to Cade). Optimus nearly lost it until bee (Who was still a head) and Cade combined with the other Autobots explained to him about Bee’s regeneration power. Optimus almost passed out from both Shock and relief that his Son scout is not being tortured or worse. Even after learning about it Optimus still Panics everytime Bumblebee disperses his limbs or just removes them with ease. Bee has to be extremely careful not to pull off his limbs in front of OP for his own sake.
