thinking about how aaron would do great with someone who needs mainly physical reassurance. they don’t need to talk about everything but totally need to cuddle to get over stuff. i feel like that would work great both ways, especially since he doesn’t want to expose them to his job too so coming home after a tough case and they’re waiting for him on the couch and don’t even need to ask, just move the blanket and open their arms and they both feel better, aaron having a safe haven and reader knowing they could help him just by being there. hopefully this made sense lol

it's like an unspoken understanding.

if you were having a rough time; whether it was at work, mentally, anything- aaron could instantly tell.

whenever he realized you were having a bad day, he would silently pull you into his arms without saying a word. you could be anywhere- in the kitchen, living room, bedroom, and he would find you. aaron's embrace would envelop you; you couldn't see, feel, or touch anything that wasn't him. it was grounding, comforting, and most importantly, safe. you found a safeness and stillness in him you never thought possible. while the two of you didn't need to exchange words, he would still provide soft reassurances; that everything would be alright, you're the strongest person he knows, and that he's there for you, always.

as for aaron, he never discussed work things with you. you knew what his occupation consisted of, that he would be gone quite often and it was dark, but that was pretty much it. early on into your relationship, he didn't hesitate to explain his intention of why- it wasn't to keep you out of his life nor because he didn't want to discuss his job with you, because he did, but he wanted to protect you more. he knew the heaviness his job brought, the seemingly never-ending nightmares. he would go to the ends of the earth to make sure you never experienced those feelings yourself. if his job taught him one thing, he knew he couldn't save everyone. he could try his hardest and more, but that's not how life worked; bad things happened to those who didn't deserve it. and honestly, he feared that he somehow wouldn't be able to save you, if you knew.

you could tell when a case was awful; the few and short texts during his absence, the dread in his voice as he called you each night to say goodnight, the frequent check ins to make sure you and jack were okay. so whenever you got the text from him that the jet had landed and he was heading home, you were always waiting.

as you expected, it was visible in his eyes the second he walked through the door; the eye bags from lack of sleep, the way he was moving as if the entire world was on his shoulders, as if he hasn't seen the light of day in who knows how long, and in a way, he hadn't.

and so, when the two of your eyes connected, he immediately discarded his belongings, didn't even bother to kick his shoes off, and drop into your open arms. his head would find it's way into the crook of your neck, your hand would find it's way into his hair, and the two of you would just remain there silently. likewise, you would provide him words of comfort here and there but never ask for specifics, which he appreciated. aaron just wanted comfort by definition of you.

and the two of you would stay there; for ten minutes, a few hours, it didn't matter. again, it was that level of understanding you shared.

all you needed was each other and that was enough.

So I don't think I've ever asked you your headcanon around LadyWalker? Like does it take place after Kuro Neko on? Or does Adrien start off as him?

Because I was thinking about Adrien starting off as Cat Walker (maybe Adrien never went to public school). Then as he goes on with his life, the restrictiveness and isolation eats at him so much, that he's constantly wishing for an outlet that seems like will never appear. Then one day he's spiraling and an akuma alert goes off. His mood is so disoriented, he transforms into a new suit (Chat Noir) without realizing it.

He catches up to an aggressive Ladybug who's like 'Where's my partner? What did you do to him? Are you working with Hawkmoth?!'

He's able to placate her enough to convince her to fix the akuma first. (Meanwhile, he's freaking out about the suit. At one point in the battle, he realizes he doesn't need to act like Cat Walker as a different hero so he takes that moment to act differently).

After the battle, Ladybug corners him and interrogates him. Adrien is somehow able to convince her that Cat Walker picked him.

A few akumas later, after Ladybug has serious coping issues and the media going in a frenzy over Cat Walker's disappearance, Adrien feels horrible about lying to his lady. His freedom that he achieved has created a huge toll on everyone around him. He feels selfish, but he's torn. Chat Noir doesn't have the close rapport Cat Walker developed with Ladybug. All those tender moments to him are memories that make her sad.

Adrien's in a crisis, but he stand making Ladybug torn.

So one day it all comes gushing out. He confesses to Ladybug that he is Cat Walker, that Chat Noir gives him something Cat Walker doesn't (I'm obsessed with this idea in case you hadn't noticed btw).

Ladybug is losing her mind. Now she's wondering was this all a lie? Cat Walker's a lie? Is this a Hawkmoth scheme??

But eventually Adrien reassures her that, no, it's him. His suit switches back into Cat Walker. Ladybug struggles to put both identities together. Adrien explains how they're both parts of him. They reconcile, Ladybug learns to see Cat Walker as more of a multifaceted person than just the perfect partner.

Together, they fight off into the sunset. The end. 😘

I don’t have any set timeline for any of my ladywalker shenanigans…!! I just love them so much and I think they contain multitudes and love everything from very informed, thoughtful plots like runaway catwalker to what I usually write, which is just them pining lmao. I just ahhhh love the idea that chat isn’t there but he IS there but he ISNT and where does that leave them !! I love that the show shows us that it’s inevitable in any circumstance they’d fall in love…. OUGH

BUT OH MY GOD…. has your idea ignited my brain…. (and!! It kinda reminds me of that Loveybug Au imagining of yours where they started off that way, and that made me INCREDIBLY TENDER !!!! I honestly think about it all the time)

First of all, I love situations of Ladybug disliking new Cat holders because they aren’t the partner she’s grown to know and love, and the fact that he tests the waters and “all those tender moments to him are memories that make her sad” oh my god !!

And I’m so incredibly into the idea of relearning someone who you thought you liked/loved/knew!!! discovering all the new ways to fall for them, all the things you didn’t know before—have they ever shared with someone else all these small things about them, like how he usually eats alone (except for her), or what kind of music he likes (they share earphones. It WOULD be easier to play it out loud, but you know…), or even the simplest of things like how he loves chouquettes? 🥺!!!

and maribug strives for perfection in herself, sometimes self-sabotaging imo, so realizing that she loves someone imperfect, who has reached that state within himself? she could learn to love herself a little more too....

would you look at the date, it's already time for a flatmate rant again!

They've been complaining that there's a bad smell coming from my room. I don't smell anything.

Today I got texts while I was at uni that went something like "they're sick of this, it's not normal to smell like this, this stench needs to go, they would be embarrassed to be [my age] and not have a grip on the apartment at all, they tried being nice, as soon as I open the door they can smell me, they don't feel comfortable with such a stench, they don't give a shit what I do but I need to do something".

ignored them because honestly, they can just tell me to my face instead of going through texts and I couldn't be bothered

they came home eventually after me, immediately were Big Angry, I told them I asked my parents who were here this weekend and they also didn't smell anything. Told them again I don't know what they smell, asked them to describe it, they just said it's a stench so idk what to do with that.

told them I washed my curtains etc and reminded them I have a scented candle burning every second I'm home and open the balcony door several times a day to let air in. Told them again my parents didn't smell anything either.

They said their friends also said it smells bad, they have to get up early to open the window, they can't even eat breakfast anymore because it smells so bad, they didn't want to just live side by side but I can't be surprised we don't get along when I'm like this, I clearly haven't tried, they also got the stench out of their rooms (which I didn't smell before I left either but hey), they've put so much work into cleaning this apartment and I'm ruining it now, they always leave on the weekends because they don't feel comfortable here.

told them again alright, but I don't smell anything, neither did my parents three days ago, I don't know what they want me to do.

"It's sad/pathetic we even have to tell you this, you do know we're six years younger than your right" - oh I'm aware, because clearly they've never lived with someone who wasn't exactly like them.

went in circles like this for a while, with the other one getting progressively more angry too

they said they never would have moved in here if they had known I was like this - like they're not the ones who came to look at the apartment while I wasn't here and then didn't contact me despite my then-flatmate giving them my number

told them okay so move out, I have uni now, went to my room

they spent the next half an hour or so mocking and imitating me telling them to move out and that I have uni now, loudly and in that really annoying, childish high-pitched voice

heard them say maybe they should contact the landlord. by all means, do, I hope he asks them if there's something wrong with their noses.

if they do, I'll skip any and all classes I have that day to be at home all day to make sure they don't mess with my room in some way.

did I mention these two are becoming a nurse and a primary school teacher?

spent half an hour ranting to friends, got reassured that the issue isn't with me, I'm not causing an issue I'm not seeing, got adviced to save the chats which I will, both the ones they sent me and the ones where I complained about this bs to my friends, in addition to a kinda diary like someone suggested in the last rant post

wondered if maybe they're lying and being insufferable on purpose to get me to move out somehow

I will live in the most fucked up apartment with no bus stop within an hour around before I move in with strangers ever again

~somewhat angsty NY headcanons because I love to torture him (purely out of love)~

-if he gets pinned down in a fight, there is chance that he will panic, cuz it reminds him of how Britain used to pin or restrain him before beating the he// out of him.

The first time anybody found out was in a sparring match that York got into with Texas. Texas had York pinned on the ground with his arms above his head and his knee on the smaller’s chest, not knowing that York was starting to panic and have flashbacks to Britain beating the crap out of him. So ofc when York started sounding more and more desperate and panicked every time he told Texas to get tf off of him, it left the Lone Star State a bit confused. When he got off, York immediately curled up in a ball and had a pretty bad panic attack, but was on calmed down by his brothers. He also made sure to reassure Texas that he did nothing wrong.

-sometimes when York needs alone time, he will teleport to NYC and just sit at the top of a tall building and cry alone whilst listening to music, drinking whatever liquor he brought with him, and staring off into the distance

-he has some SA-related trauma from his ex-bf. His ex did some non-consensual…..things to him, and always yelled at York and hit him for the stupidest and smallest things. So umm….. of course he ain’t around anymore :)

-one of the scars he has is from a type of blade that was not for him, and that was for more magical beings like Mass and Loui. After he got stabbed, there was a lot of black stuff surrounding the wound and black bile mixed with blood coming out of his mouth. He was definitely not having a good time. So he now has a weird-wonky star-shaped looking scar on his upper stomach (and like the 9/11 scar, he also pretty insecure about it).

-he has frequent absence seizures and that often results in him not listening to another person during a conversation and them having to repeat whatever they said.

-I have now decided that he has an autism assistance dog named Nico that helps him when he’s getting too worked up and/or overstimulated, and a mobility assistance dog named Kodi that helps him with his slight balance issues. Both dogs do their jobs well, and York loves them both a lot.

-because of the pollution in his state that is traveling from the Canadian wildfires into his state, and because of the pollution that was already there, he chokes on his own air a lot, and sometimes it gets so bad that he coughs up blood

-kinda related to the hc above, York has asthma, which makes the pollution situation 10x worse

-by the time the Civil War had happened, York had seen SO much war, at such a young age, that he seemed to have became immune to it in some sense. He would just kill enemies left and right without barely batting an eye and with barely any emotion on his face, and it honestly scared the sh*t out of some of the other states and enemies.

-Soooo…..I found out that Melanie Martinez was born in New York, so I’ve now decided that he listens to her music and kinda relates to some of it (not really sad, but I just wanted to put that out there)

-school was incredibly stressful for him, despite him being really smart. It was mainly cuz’ the people he went to school with, and some of the teachers he had, were absolute *$$holes

-whenever he’s really going through it, he will push others away and completely reject any help that was offered

-because of the abuse and war he went through, he somehow gained the mindset that if he gets hurt, even if it is incredibly serious and painful, he should just get tf up and continue doing what he was doing, no matter what. This man could be spontaneously bleeding out and have a broken arm, and would still try to get up and do stuff

-he has 100% fell through ice into freezing cold water, gotten himself out, and continue doing whatever he doing even though there’s the chance that he was hurt and had possible hypothermia, and he has definitely passed the f*ck out whilst telling Mass or whoever that he was fine and didn’t need medical attention.

Netflix's Avatar The Last Airbender thoughts part 2/5)

this is the bit about Kataang. i have so much to say.

Kataang (romance vs friendship): okay i can't restrain myself any longer; here we go. by ep 3 i started noticing how it feels like they're deliberately keeping Katara and Aang away from each other. they barely even have scenes together, they just keep getting separated every episode, and even when they are together it's very short and there is not much chemistry between them. and to be clear, i expected as soon as i originally saw the casting that their romantic relationship won't be explored, at least in this season, and that's completely fine - it'd be pretty weird even, if they leaned into it too much, given how visible the age difference is between the two of them. besides, other than Aang's crush, their romance wasn't really an important point in the first season of the original either, it was basically just the Fortuneteller episode that dealt with the subject. so yes, no romance between them, completely fine. in the original though, book 1 established strong foundations for their friendship, for how and why they see each other as a family, why they love and trust each other, and given a background to how that then later evolves into romantic love. here, so many of their big moments are taken from them or changed.

Kataang (secret tunnels) i can excuse the cave of two lovers changes because it was a nice exploration of Katara's and Sokka's relationship, even if i didn't love most of what else they did with it (the whole thing with the badgermoles was kinda dumb). it was also originally not a S1 moment, so who knows, there's still the option for it to come back later in the show. which i really hope it does because my Kataang heart would be so sad if it doesn't.

Kataang (avatar state): i really disliked Aang being able to control the avatar state on his own by remembering Gyatso, because it was both too early in his own story, and i felt that it ripped the carpet out from underneath one of the most defining moments of Katara and Aang's connection - her being the only one who can help Aang control the avatar state for a loooong time before he learns how to do it on his own. i think it was important that it happened so early in the original show, and while i enjoyed the way they recreated that moment to fit it in the last episode, when it actually happened, it felt... somehow more unearned than in the original where it happened after like an hour of screentime. obviously, the idea here was that we'll have a whole season of them bonding, watch them become true friends, see how much of a family they are to each other, and THEN have this scene where Katara helps Aang control his fear and pain, because they now have this real, built up connection. which is a good take! if that's how it went, i may even like how this change reflects on their relationship

Kataang (lack of affection): however, that's not how it went. these two barely even TALK for most of the season. they have very few scenes together, and 1 (one!) hug - btw there is very little tactile affection between them, no hugs, no reassuring touches on the arm, no nothing. and i know not everyone likes physical affection, but i never got that vibe from the Aang and Katara of the OG show, they hugged, Katara kissed Aang's cheek, i vaguely recall that they held hands and had multiple "hand on your shoulder" moments as well. a huuuuuge offender of this is episode 4, when Katara, Sokka and Aang are reunited. Aang collapses after dropping the boulders, Katara runs to him, asks if he's okay and then just... stands next to him, awkwardly. like... that scene was begging for a hug, or at least a helping hand, or dusting him off. i couldn't feel the relief of the characters to have been reunited, even though it was thematically super important in that moment. there is a lack of love and connection, there is a lack of trust and bonding; i mean Katara bonds more with Jet than Aang, and Aang bonds more with Zuko than he does with Katara. the show even explicitly compares Aang's and Jet's impact on Katara's waterbending, and basically says that her connection with Jet is better for her than her connection with Aang. which, i know there is a part of this fandom that doesn't like kataang that likes to say Aang is no good for Katara, that he's just holding her back, i'm not gonna get into that, all i'll say is that i disagree.

No Kataang? and even if they don't want to do kataang at all (which is a little meh, since i love kataang, i just hope that if they don't do it, they don't give an alternate romantic partner to either of them), i want to see Katara and Aang at least being the close friends that they originally were. i can live with them not falling in love eventually, if that's where the show is going, since my ships are rarely canon anyway, but i want their friendship to mean something to both of them. even if i ignore where this leads in the OG series, it's still lackluster, because the show sure is telling us they're very important to each other, but doesn't do a whole lot to demonstrate it. you hear them saying they're a family, but you don't really feel it, which i think is probably because of all these adventures we got to see in the original that were only mentioned in passing in this one

did you notice how the bulk of the players saudi have gone after are muslim...i don't know if i'm reading too much into this but i suspect that they are targeting these players and trying to shill the "we're a muslim country don't you want to play in a muslim country and help develop it blah blah" thing. Which, if true, makes me very annoyed because a lot of the things they do are very unislamic lol. like spending the first ten days of dhul-hijjah (literally the most sacred days in the entire year) doing shady deals with the shadiest club in the premier league

Ohh really, no need to thank me. ♡♡ You can't imagine after world cup 2018, I was in Fez/Tanja (Tangier) and then we went down to our usual trips as usual (Marrakech, Casa etc) and all I could see was his shirt everywhere. And my cousins were telling me all the time of the amount of craziness around him growing even more and more (also 2018 was our first world cup in 20 years can you imagine loool. And he played a big part in that qualification. Now we're here but look what we were even 5 years ago...and what we were when he joined back then...yeah anyway). yeah the narrative of muslim players x a muslim country it does seem to me like being part of a developing plan. At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if Saudi will truly be competitive in a few years time, now we're joking about it but - it seems way different than MLS now or what China tried to do years ago. You know, I do have conflicting thoughts about it- bc on one hand I agree with you, it is upsetting given the high percentage of poverty in Saudi. A country with so much money and so much power in the hands of a few oligarchs... of course leaning on those players' religion seems like a big fallacy. But then again, you have the same oligarchs in the US, in England, in China, in Russia (and nobody gave a shit about it before the war) in the very heart of Europe... also billionaires, rich, powerful, investors in every major top league. And so you do wonder if somehow we're also being affected by the same double standards. When Arab people tell you: after everything Europe has done, it's our turn, why are we the only ones subjected to your moral standards? - When you put it that way, can you blame them? As a Muslim you get upset because again, I totally understand your feelings and they are also mine. But I also wonder about these stuff, you know

WHICH WELL I guess it also applies to this white girl on tumblr (not kidding I tried to find their blog bc I was so curious fodjsha) are we have to blame players for going Saudi? What about players who are paid by Saudis in Europe? Bohely's bought part of Strasbourg - what about players payed by americans in Europe? Arsenal is owned by an american who both financed trump and israel - are we have to blame arsenal players too? These double standards are just....unreal to me really. It's so easy to blame one part of the world and dismiss what happens in the heart of your own continent or your own part of the world. White privilege as its finest.

Players ain't to blame. You can question their decisions and whatever but they are just players in this system - lots of them grew up poor and weren't born into the massive privilege these multi billionaires were born into. And i'm sure they are gonna love putting all the blame to Muslim players for going Saudi - what can you do, shit white people do.

Okay, Other Max and Max. I want to hit them both in the head and then hug them till they feel very loved and enough for everyone. And then take them to therapy. Therapy I tell you.

Max and Other Max fight reminded me of Max and Jaden fight. Which kinda made me miss Jaden too to be honest, because Jaden was way easier to deal with. Max and Other Max, not so much. "You fuck him while I spend every day with him" was what Jaden told Max in IALS so I'm drawing a line of similarity between Jaden and Max and Other Max with Max from IALS (too many men with the name Max). And that's very confusing but also not. Because we know how Other Max feels about the argument. It's the same way Max feels in IALS. And we know how lil Max feels (I'm calling him that because this is getting too confusing). Here's something that is different though and it's pissing me off. In LBAF, Other Max also knows how Max feels. It's literally his past self so if anything he should be more sympathetic. He should be more supportive. Things would be so much different if he could realize that this isn't just about David but it's also about Max. He must remember what he felt like back then. But he doesn't act like it. And if he did, everything would be different. It's not about sharing David for 52 minutes. It's about doing things for him that Max can't. And of course he can't. Other Max doesn't get affected by the things happening. His only concern is David. Max is different. Max has these things happening to him. And he is 30. He is not a powerful warlock who can see the future and fix everything. He is just a 30 year old parent, just like David. He should get to just be 30, like when he wanted to be just 18 in LBAF I I think, and David told him, so let's just be 18 we'll figure out the rest. The fact that he doesn't treat himself that way and Other Max doesn't either is pulling on my last nerve. Putting himself in impossible standards and then feeling like a failure when he naturally can't meet them is impossible. And if he talked to David, you know actually communicate and say "I think Other Max is better at making you happy and taking care of you and you trust him more than me" David would tell him. But he doesn't. He doesn't tell David that. Please tell me he will at some point??

He somehow told Other Max. And if he had reassured him, everything would be different. I mean, he is 730 years old and he still hasn't learned to treat himself with kindness? Someone do somthing about that! So he acted like an ass and now we're screwed. And no, it's not the same thing as Jaden. Other Max was Max and David is his David and he should do better. And he doesn't because no one is harded that Max more than he is and that why Other Max treats him like that. So Max keeps feeling like a failure and instead of processing he uses Other Max as a scapegoat and Other Max keeps completely ignoring the affect he has on Max's personality and character growth. And David, David honestly I don't even know. Max is right, him being angry and expressing his sadness and saying "I'm not fine" is healthy. Something he should do to process and he doesn't. He doesn't process. And if Other Max is the reason, him reassuring David then they're double screwed. Because if Other Max wasn't there then they would both be forced to face their emotions at least. But now they both use him as a scapegoat. And that's really really bad.

All in all I think Other Max being there is screwing up a lot of things and him trying to help will have terrible consequences. And it's making me angry that he's not aware and that he doesn't acknowledge it. And the lack of communication is helping no one.Also, Max and Other Max hurting each other is bad and oh when David finds out we're in for a ride because one thing that will get David mad is Max hurting himself and Other Max kinda is his future self.

This chapter honestly killed me and this whole weird love triangle those three have going on worries me so much that I can't wait for Lucifer to show up (I'm gonna regret saying that, won't I?). You broke me but I love you thank you for this wonderful chapter🩷🌷

I was already thinking about LBAF V when I was writing IALS so I can assure you that the parallels are very much intentional (especially the two fights). Someone once asked me if Jaden is Other Max, but we see that it is indeed Max (in IALS) who is actually Other Max. (how my brain keeps up with all of this, I will never know).

I think the whole Other Max not helping Max is a very valid point. Max talks about this too - saying he was excited to meet his future self but Other Max didn't want to hang out with him. I'd like to note that Other Max doesn't hang out with Lance and Arthur either (in the future), only with David. We'll get to that later.

He could be kinder to Max. But I think he doesn't want to be. He has his priorities. If he has to choose between making himself feel better and making David feel better, it's not a choice for him at all. But, having said that, I can also tell you that it is all more complicated than this (can you imagine??).

David will not handle it well, yes. But it depends on when David finds out about it. He won't until the present timeline (LBAF IV epilogue) and it's been a long time and we see David reacting less and less to 'bad things' because he is losing himself slowly.

There is, however, a scene between the three of them that I can't wait for you to read. It's one of those scenes that's very far away but I think about it almost every day sigh.

Eirika paralogue!

Spoilers under the cut.

Looks like this one is based on the SS Endgame. Eirika remembering Lyon is sad :(

Eirika’s paralogue took forever and it’s mostly just fighting because holy shit there were tons of enemies. Guess that’s all you can do with a Sacred Stones inspired map.

Heh, Celine gives Byleth a flower at her A rank bond with him. Nice callback to gifting in Three Houses.

Celine Alcryst A: Alcryst provided Celine special tea leaves from Brodia said to be a sleep aid. She admits her nightmares have only gotten worse due to the war, but Alcryst vows not to let anything happen to Alfred or Diamant. He tries to pull his usual self-deprecating move, but Celine reassures him it’s good to know someone as skilled as him will protect her brother. Both agree to work together to protect their older brothers.

Celine Louis A: She apologizes for leaving the B support so abruptly. She stresses that he doesn’t need to endanger himself for special things for her and that simple gestures are enough to make her happy.

Ivy Hortensia C: Ivy’s happy to have Hortensia back since they’re the only family they have left. It turns out Hortensia and Ivy actually has different mothers. It seems something happened between their respective mothers that Hortensia finds awkward to talk about.

Seadall Alcryst B: Alcryst is a little envious and awe-struck of the experiences Seadall had in the caravan, but Seadall explains that he joined the caravan because his parents died when he was young and he had nowhere else to go. He had difficulty speaking, so the man who taught him how to dance did so so he could express himself, a gesture Seadall remains forever grateful for.

Seadall Rosado C: Seadall asks how Rosado remains so good-looking, and is skeptical when Rosado says he has no particular beauty technique XD

Fogado Yunaka B: He apologizes for dragging Yunaka to a party. She evidently ran off, and she admits she’s uncomfortable being in a crowd for fear that someone might want to kill her. Fogado catches on but doesn’t pry, but he says Yunaka would be able to enjoy life more if she was more trusting. She promises to take it to heart.

Fogado Rosado C: Fogado upsets Rosado when he says that while Rosado is very cute, he’s not the cutest he’s ever seen XD

Fogado Alcryst C: Alcryst wonders how they can be so different, but Fogado says he likes Alcryst just fine, which just upsets him.

Alcryst Saphir C: Alcryst helped Saphir hunt, so Saphir offers to teach Alcryst how to fish. His outlook improves when she offers to teach him how to cook fish as well.

On to chapter 20!

Zephia and Griss are furious that Mauvier and Marni lost two more rings. Zephia even hits Marni when Marni insists Sombron won’t punish them. Anyways, Mauvier’s upset that Zephia already did her magic on Veyle, then she blasts Marni and Mauvier with magic.

Seems I’m fighting Griss next. Fork over Celica’s ring, you feral wretch!

Unlike the cathedral, Alear’s more adamant that they should retreat at the first sign of trouble. There’s no guards. They probably got turned into Corrupted.

Griss flashes Celica’s ring and tries to bait Alear into a fight. It’s a pretty obvious trap but it’s not like we can just run from this.

Holy shit, Griss actually attacks THEN warps in this map rather than the other way around, that’s great! Evil, but great, lol. Issue is he’s on a +avo tile so I probably wanna get him to warp away anyways. Hmm.

Lol this chapter is something else. Thank god I had Corrin on Alcryst and Alcryst had a longbow.

The devs definitely knew how annoying a map like this could be so there’s plenty of terrain to use and though there’s thieves who try to nab treasure and run away, you don’t have to chase them since they have to return to their spawn point to escape.

Griss kinda... loses it when Alear summons Celica. Ah, it seems Alear somehow confirmed they’re Sombron’s kid by purifying Celica. Aaaaaand yeah, this is something people guessed before the game even came out, lol. Like from the moment we saw Red!Alear in promo stuff.

Oh hey Vander, nice to see you still exist.

Ooohhh, I DID notice that Lumera didn’t say the invocation to summon Sigurd way back in chapter 2, but I didn’t really make much of it at the time. I also noticed Sombron said the chants for each ring back in chapter 10 but I thought that was more an ironic echo kinda situation.

More importantly I got Celica back, so who’s the real loser here, Griss? That’s right, it’s you.

Evidently Griss was buying time for Sombron and Veyle to go somewhere.

Despite what Griss said, the party doesn’t just take his word as true. Poor Alear though :(

Evidently Alear dreams in third person lol. Seems Sigurd’s the leader of the Emblems in Marth’s absence.

I guess now that’s the real reason why Lumera pumped Alear full of her Divine Dragon juice: Alear’s not naturally half-blue. Ah. Emblems summoned by the Fell Dragon power can’t talk. So Alear uses the Fell Dragon method but she has the power of a Divine Dragon.

Ah, yeah, Lumera gave Alear her power so she could have the powers of a Divine Dragon.

Again, Alear’s voice actress is top notch. This was actually a pretty sweet scene, I really hope for a flashback or two between Lumera and Red!Alear? We’ll see i guess.

Oh hey it’s Mauvier. Seems he thinks Alear can save Veyle now that he knows she’s Alear’s sister. Sombron’s going to Lythos.

Back to paralogues for a little bit.

Alear calls Byleth “Professor!” in their B Bond, which is hella cute XD

Chloe Louis A: Pretty sweet and simple support, mostly it’s just them being nice one another and giving each other snacks, showing they pay attention to one another’s preferences.

Yunaka Citrinne A: Yunaka talks about how her master fell ill. On his deathbed, he explained he trained her to be his successor and “hired her” to put him out of his misery. Though she had conflicting feelings for the man, she killed him, but then immediately discarded her old life as an assassin. What made Citrinne suspicious of Yunaka was that Yunaka was nosing around in the Brodian assembly, but it turns out she was trying to propose a fund for underprivileged children so nobody had to experience what she did. Citrinne apologizes profusely, but Yunaka reassures her she understands the suspicion. Citrinne still feel terrible and offers to do everything she can to support Yunaka’s attempts with the assembly.

Holy shit, I did not expect Yunaka to turn out to be such a great character!

Alear Ivy A: Ivy had a hard time growing up - Elusia castle was a den of treachery, especially because of her mother. Only her worship of the Divine Dragon kept her sane. She chose to worship Alear initially out of defiance against Elusia, which worshiped the Fell Dragon. Really cute support.

Alear Yunaka A: Yunaka wants to tell Alear about her past. Alear reassures her she doesn’t have to after seeing her struggle. Yunaka thanks Alear, and says she believes she’s found her place in the world at Alear’s side <3

What they would do if by some accident they themselves end up getting animal features (like fox ears and tail for Childe, cat ears and tail for Kaeya or Diluc, dragon features for Zhongli, etc) do they become clingy and display cat behavior of rubbing themselves on you? As an alchemist, you really should have remembered the most important rule -> don’t leave unmarked bottles out where people can drink them …

So you couldn’t be too surprised by the turn of events that followed

Childe

He went to bed earlier than normal, but you didn’t think anything of it. Perhaps he had a terrible day and just wanted to sleep it off, there wasn’t any reason to pester him about it anyway.

The next morning, you felt him slip out of bed, a yawn falling from his mouth as he made his way toward the bathroom. Turning, you claimed more of the bed and attempted to sleep just a little bit longer. That was until you heard a wild cry and shot up in an instant. You were already partially out of the bed when Childe burst into the room.

He looked at you, you looked at him, and as your eyes drifted from his ears to his tail, you understood his reaction.

“WHAT?” He shouted into the bedroom.

Oh archons, to see him like this … you wished it was easier for you not to think about how adorable he was, but it was impossible. The soft ears that peeked from underneath his hair, the fluffy tail that didn’t know how to stop moving, and the frantic face he gave you were all just perfect

“What happened??” He asked, running back to the mirror before returning his attention to you. Quickly, you made your way to his aid and did your best to calm him.

“I’m not sure, did you do anything strange yesterday?” You pulled his face toward you, cupping your hands against his cheek and running your fingers through his hair.

“Not that I know of … uh, oh! I found this …” He reached for a small bottle on the bathroom counter and handed it to you. Shit.

“Did you drink this??”

“ … yes.”

“CHILDE!” You burst into laughter, knowing it wasn’t the right time but also unable to control yourself. His expression was distressed and worried and, as best as you could, you tried to bring yourself back to calm. “This wasn’t supposed to be consumed …”

“A-am I going to die?”

“No, you’re just going to be, well, this it seems.”

“How long??”

“I don’t know, a few days maybe.” He dropped his head into his hands, his ears drooped and his active tail dropped toward the ground. Wrapping him in your arms, you offered him reassurance while trying not to laugh. “You’re very cute though.”

You caught sight of his tail moving slowly back and forth and added more pressure to your hug.

He found that it wasn’t as bad as he thought, in addition to the extra features, he also was able to gain other advantages - his eyesight was much better in the dark, his sense of smell more keen, his agility top notch

You were sure he had grown attached to them in the short time he had them - so when the option came for him to revert, you were sure it would be a tough decision

Still - to keep him trapped like this, with features that weren’t his own - you didn’t want to be cruel

“Here,” You put the bottle down in front of him. His ears perking up at the item and his fingers reaching to grab it. “All you have to do is drink that and everything should go back to normal.” You said with a slightly wistful tone to your voice. It was somehow sad to think these adorable additions leave would be gone soon.

“What if it doesn’t work?”

“I’m not sure. We will just try again if it doesn’t though.” Quickly, he took the cork from the lid and moved the vial to his lips. His ear twitched as he smelled the concoction. “I’ll miss this.” Resting your head in your hands you watched as he downed the liquid in one go.

“It’s hard for people to take me seriously like this …”

“Did people take you seriously before?” You joked, winking at him.

The next morning, he stirred in bed next to you, his hair brushing against your face and making you wake up before you wanted to. As your eyes adjusted, you instantly recognized what you thought was hair was actually ears and the giddiness of your heart jump-started you awake. It didn’t work -- oh no, guess you’d have to keep trying.

Kaeya

Waking up next to Kaeya was your favorite thing. It was an opportunity for you to be close to him, to witness his relaxed expression, and know that in these moments he trusted you over anyone else.

So, when you woke and found him pressed against you, your hands absentmindedly began to run through his hair, over his shoulders, as you meandered your way into the waking world. There was something soft that flicked against your hand, but you pushed it away. It happened again, confused, mouth turning into a scowl and eyes rudely being pried open, you looked down to see what was making you irritated.

You were wide awake when you saw the cat ears sticking out from Kaeya’s blue hair. They were richly shaded, deep blues with tips of white and perfectly placed on his head. Shifting, you tried to get a better view and the action made him stir.

“Mmm, stop moving.” He mumbled, wrapping his arms around you and holding you steady. Tapping his arm, you tried to get his attention.

“K-Kaeya …”

“What is it?”

“Do you feel okay?” You asked, your voice shaking and hands hovering over his ears.

“I feel perfectly fine, why do you ask?” He kissed your chest before nuzzling back into his place.

“You … you’ve got cat ears.”

He laughed and pushed your comment away. His legs moved under the sheets and you swore you saw something poke out from the bed. “You’re pulling my leg, I didn’t know you could be this funny so early in the morning.”

“I’m not, see.” Stealing his hand you placed it on his head and watched as his fingers ran over the ears which were sticking straight up. When his eyes shot open and his hand began to move faster, pulling, tugging, examining the feature, you tried not to laugh as his confused expression turned into a slight panic. He shot up, his legs moving so he could sit on the bed but winced when he did so. That’s when the both of you saw the tail.

“Hold on, let me get ready, just … don’t freak out.”

You rushed around the room to gather up your items, your gaze continuously falling on the incredibly still, unmoving frame that was Kaeya.

After calling on Albedo to come and offer assistance, only to find that the features would be around for a few days … Kaeya started to get more accustomed to them

He was for sure rattled but bounced back rather quickly - in fact, the features seemed to get him even more attention than he had before and he found that the added bonuses were helpful when he needed them for his knightly tasks

Not to mention it seemed he was more affectionate than normal, and not in the way he normally was, it was more in a … cuddly, interested, curious manner

One evening, you found yourself reading over several books that Albedo had recommended and became rudely distracted when Kaeya pushed his way under your arms and nestled into your lap

“Hey there.” You called down to him, hand dropping to his shoulder as he nuzzled against you.

“Give me attention.”

You laughed at his pouting expression, his lips turned downward and ears twisting to show he could be trusted. “I’m currently trying to figure out how to fix this, I can’t do that if I’m giving you all my attention.” His eye squinted for just a moment before he moved more into your lap and nearly pushed the book in your hands onto the floor. “Kaeya!” The playful laughter that filled his ears was as tantalizing as the drinks he let touch his lips.

“You can figure that out later. How can you possibly resist me right now anyway?” He asked, pushing against you until your back pressed into the couch and his hands weaved their way around your body. His hair tickled your face as he nuzzled into your chest and, even though his hips dug into yours, you didn’t seem to mind the closeness he was trying to find.

“Okay. Fine, I’ll look into it more later.”

“What excellent news.” He practically purred as he slid his way to your neck and let his body rest against you.

Zhongli

It’s been so long since he saw himself with such features - and, to be honest, he didn’t notice them for some time. It wasn’t until you returned and the items in your hands fell to the floor upon seeing him that his attention was captured

“Zh - Zhongli!?” You babbled, making your way to him and not knowing what to rest your eyes on first. Was it the pair of elegantly shaped horns that sprouted between his brown locks of hair? Was it the golden slits in his eyes that reminded you of the reptiles roaming around the rocky paths of Liyue? Or did you look at the scales that decorated his face in such perfect placement?

“Has something transpired?” His expression was one of concern, but also one of disillusionment. Did - did he not notice?

“Are you feeling nostalgic today?”

“Not particularly, what makes you ask?”

“Well … you look kinda like … I mean hold on.” You quickly disappeared down the hallway before returning with a small handheld mirror, one that Zhongli had purchased for you some time ago. Handing it to him, you waited until it started to register on his face the changes to his appearance, and that’s when you noticed the long claws which jutted out from his nail beds.

“Huh, this is peculiar …”

Sitting down across from him, you placed your hands on the table and watched as he examined the reflection of his face. “So you didn’t do this?”

“I must say that I did not, though It is rather pleasant to see …” His voice trailed off and you watched as he fussed with his hair, touched the horns on his head, and opened his mouth to check and see if - yup, he had canines much like a dragon too. That’s when it hit you.

“Did you … drink anything strange?”

The mirror found its place upside down on the table, his glowing eyes shifted to you as he took in your question. You let him think and finally, he gave you his answer. “I do recall there was a strange vial on the counter when I awoke. Ah - my dear, are you unwell?” He asked as your head dropped onto the table.

The strangest thing about Zhongli holding these features was that he seemed … perfect for them and it was becoming quite the problem to hide

You were much too cautious that someone may discover who he really was with these pretty telling additions to his wardrobe, so you asked him to stay home for a while until you could get some answers

He didn’t seem to mind, and when you were finally able to gather up all the items needed to prepare an antidote for his condition, you were finding it very distracting to make the concoction at home

The bubbling liquid warned you it was much too hot and so, with adept fingers, you turned the nobs and burners down so as to not overheat or scald the liquid inside. The aroma that filled your nose was … unpleasant to say the least, and so you finally succumbed to the need to wrap your nose in a clean cloth.

Turning your back to the equipment, you made your way toward the drawer where the rags were kept but when your eyes caught sight of Zhongli standing by the window, you nearly fainted.

He was wearing a robe, the material had slid down one of his arms and rested in the crook of his elbow. It gave you pause and allowed you to see the toned torso which was normally hidden by the layers of clothing he wore on a regular day.

Since he found no need to properly get dressed, he had reserved himself to lounge about in clothes that felt ‘more suitable’ to him, as he explained.

The light from the sun flashed across his chest, laid softly against his face, and illuminated the golden speckles in his hair - you wondered if it was because of the horns, perhaps they were reflecting the light and making him look ethereal in the warmth of the sun. He crossed his arms and shifted his weight as he looked beyond the window, almost as if he was yearning for something far beyond his reach.

“I think I’m nearly done.” You explain, tying the towel around your face and returning, reluctantly, to the concoction behind you.

As you began to spoon out the unnecessary ingredients until you were only left with the pure grade potion, you didn’t notice how he had moved to your side until the small vial was filled.

“Here you -- oh!.” He stood right in front of you. His eyes were dangerous, burning, focused. “I didn’t see … you …” He reached around to the back of your head and skillfully undid the makeshift mask you had created moments ago. When it was off, he took the vial in his hands and placed it onto the counter before returning his attention to you. “Are you … okay?” You asked, tracking the movements of his face as he leaned down toward you.

His lips hovered barely over yours and the closeness of him made your heart flutter. “You are mine, are you not?” His voice rattled your bones from the intensity, it was oppressive and supportive all at the same time.

“Y-yes?”

His lips pressed against the corner of your mouth, “You belong to no one else?”

“No …”

“Good.”

It’s a good thing the instructions never said anything about, ‘consume immediately’ because you were very distracted for some time.

Mentally I’m getting worse again (tho I try to do all the stuff I learned from two years in therapy to … prevent it from getting bad bad ), so I’ve only been thinking about how some of the Genshin characters would comfort me? So here have this, whatever this is, that I wrote at 2am on a night before I have 11am shift at work. Using you in all of this but honestly this is 100% self indulgent. I just want someone to cuddle with. Pretty sure most of this isn’t really in character and every point is vastly different from the others but hey, it is what it is. As long as I’m in my current mindset my stuff won��t be any better than this

Genre: fluff, a bit of angst I guess idk man, comfort i hope

Content warnings: depression (?) I don’t go too much into detail, don’t want to write out those negative thoughts HA but you know you are just not in a good spot in these, absolutely inconsistent writing, every character has to deal with a different stage of feeling depressed and yeah

Characters: Diluc, Childe, Albedo, Yoimiya

Fun fact: my app crashed while writing this so thank the tumblr admins that you can restore posts you wrote after the app crashes one of the few good features of the app

Diluc:

Would definitely notice the first small changes in your behaviour, but wouldn’t think much of it in the beginning.

Maybe you are just tired? And even if not Diluc knows best that no one can always be chipper.

Still he doesn’t know how to act around you when you are sad / heading towards a depressive episode.

He would offer you his help, you just need to say what you need and he’ll give it to you.

Ah, but Diluc didn’t really consider at first that you would be too afraid to ask, even when he offered it to you.

One day he will directly ask you in the privates of your home if you are okay. At first you would try to brush it off, not wanting to be a burden on Diluc. You know how much he’s been through and that he also has his emotional scars… would be a bit selfish to dump it all onto him, wouldn’t it?

But oh, you’ve been dying to talk with someone about your feelings, craving a warm hug and words of comfort… so when Diluc doesn’t drop the topic you just let it all out.

He will take you in his arms and hug you, cuddle you, as long as you want. He’ll stroke your hair, quietly listening to your words, only small “mmmhs” and “it’s okay” leaving him, to reassure you that it’s fine for sharing it all.

When none of you talks all you can hear is his steady breath and oh, it’s so soothing.

Maybe you end up crying, while sharing all of it with him. All he does is to pull you closer into his chest, saying that it’s okay and tell you to let it all out.

Diluc hides his softer side from the people of Mondstadt, always hiding behind the more grumpy image some of him have, but he knows that it’s not good to run away from your own feelings. What you need to do is to feel them, do not try to push them aside because you are uncomfortable with them.

Generally he would be soft, kind and understanding. At first he might give you too much room, afraid he might be overstepping a boundary when he keeps pushing you in the beginning. Ends up in you isolating yourself / pulling away more, but once Diluc sees the pattern he will be more attentive to your needs and learn to differentiate between you needing space and you isolating.

Though please communicate with him better, he’s busy and if him having less time for you causes you distress you need to tell him, he might only notice it after the feelings festered.

Childe:

Oh boy - he hasn’t seen you in a while, Fatui duties you know, so when he knocks on your door one day he notices immediately that you are not in a good place.

This man - he cooks, he cleans, we all joke about him being the perfect husband but seriously. He sees the state of you, the state of your apartment and immediately helps.

Having spend the last week or two in a depressive state caused you to neglect your housework - the dirty dishes are everywhere and laundry keeps piling up. Not to talk about how you look.

Childe will make you a bath and while you’re in it he cleans. An immense help!!! Taking away a good chunk of thinks that made you feel just so overwhelmed and helpless.

The whole time he wouldn’t breach the topic of why it has come to that point, but now after you finished the bath and the apartment looks liveable again he asks you what’s wrong.

Honestly you don’t know yourself, you’ve been just lacking more and more energy to do the basic tasks and suddenly everything was a mess.

Will wipe away your tears and tell you “don’t cry, I’m here”, taking you in a hug.

When he’s around more, will he notice it when it slowly gets worse? Mmh, yeah!! He definitely notice when you are feeling more down, seeing how your interactions change and how your laughs become more forced.

In the beginning he will just try to make you feel all the “positive” feelings, not wanting you to feel any “negative” emotions at all

this man definitely represses his own trauma a lot and has a horrible way of coping with it so I doubt he would be the most emotionally intellectual person to help you through it

Though when you show that you don’t feel like showing your sadness aside and you just want someone to share it with / need some comfort he will adjust to your needs

Albedo:

Boy as impeccable observation skills, he will notice immediately when something is off.

However - he somehow struggles to understand your feelings. Like. At all.

When he asks you what’s wrong and you tell him that there is not a reason for your feelings, you just feel a bit depressed that’s all, he will not get it.

How do you feel a certain emotions without something causing it? There must be a reason for it.

And honestly he’s right there is always a reason for a certain feeling to arise, but sometimes they aren’t easy to understand for yourself or to spot, sometimes it’s just that your inner child needs a hug and it takes you three weeks and a metal breakdown to understand that this is all you needed… plus a good cry

He’s gonna be so awkward at trying to comfort you, making you feel better, at first. Trying everything out to cheer you up, he really doesn’t want you to feel bad. Asks around for advice what helps others when they are sad.

Honestly? The things he does, the small presents he gifts you - they are nice and make you feel loved, but it doesn’t make the bad feelings go away. Even worse it somehow builts up this immense pressure for you to get better quick because look! Albedo does nice things, he tries to help. He tries to figure it out. Why can’t you give him the results he hopes to get???

Only when someone (Timadeus for sure) finally tells Albedo that it’s not a special dish or flower or even place that helps with sad feelings - it’s that they remind them of something that’s comforting. Klee told him Dodoco helps when she’s sad, because Dodoco reminds her how much her mum loves her. So when people told him about certain foods or flowers - it was more because those were valuable for those individuals, doesn’t mean it has value to you. Most importantly is that he’s just there for you.

With that new bits of information he will try to adjust to your needs more, to learn what you need and to understand it.

He will be so upfront about it too, coming into your room and telling you that he’s been trying to make you feel better the past couple of weeks and noticing how your mood has not improved at all. Finally asks you what you need opposed to him only having asked why you feel that way

Will definitely make you cry with how he approaches the topic. When he apologises for making you cry you cry even harder at how soft he says it.

Albedo will remember what he was told, that it’s important to just be there for someone, so he will stay at your side, his hand on your back rubbing it while you are just sobbing.

After the tears have calmed down you can just be honest with him, tell him that you sometimes don’t know yourself what will make it better, that sometimes you just have to life with the feelings and accept them - but that his attempts really didn’t help.

He will apologise for putting more pressure on you, asking if you need a hug (something a lot of people have told him helps them but he was just to shy to actually try it out). After saying yes you both stay for a long time in the hug, the first thing in a long time to make you feel better.

Yoimiya:

Notices the way you act towards her changes and immediately confronts you about it, afraid that something in the relationship is amiss until you tell her the truth that you are a bit depressed.

Canonically the one with the best communication skills, if you were to put her, Diluc and Kaeya in a room I’m 1000% sure those two would leave it as brothers again.

That said she can sometimes be a bit too overwhelming - she can talk a lot, but she’s a good listener too, but in her attempt to fix the issue she goes a bit overboard.

She’ll want you to talk it all out which isn’t a bad thing per se, but sometimes you just don’t feel like talking or that talking would help.

However the way Yoimiya is it will make you communicate with her more about how you feel and what you need - she kinda just seems to be more approachable and the kind of person you can pour my heart out to after meeting her on the toilets of a bar.

Will cuddle you as long as you need.

And honestly? 100% sure she would even make you a firework to cheer you up that you both watch from her favourite spot on a blanket while doing so (the cuddling!)

oh anon I have like. encyclopedic volumes of thoughts! I’m sorry if you were after a cute hcs post but this is gonna be another of my classic Endlessly Long Metas

*and the carlisle & rosalie part got so long that emmett & jasper gets to be a separate post now oops

carlisle and rosalie is a suuuuper interesting relationship because they sure as hell did not get off to a great start. I kind of wish the books (especially midnight sun) explored this a bit more because edward and bella both view carlisle as this saintly, can-do-no-wrong figure up on a pedestal of Perfect Kindness, and we never really get another perspective except for what little rosalie tells bella in eclipse.

but changing rosalie ""for edward"" (and ymmv on exactly how much that was a factor, because we never actually hear about this from carlisle's pov) is pretty icky. and I personally don't even read it as, like, he found a girl dying in the street and went "hmmm she looks hot let's bring her home as A Mate For My Son and never give her a choice about that," which seems to be a fairly popular interpretation among people who don't like carlisle (note that in eclipse, rose explicitly states it was up to her whether or not to stay with the cullens.) I see it more as "he changed this girl without thinking about it because he couldn't bear to see her die, and later the similarity to how he'd changed esme struck him and his brain went, 'hmm...what if?'" which strikes me as a normal thing to have a few brief thoughts about, but not a good thought to cling to after rosalie woke up and it became clear how miserable she was as a vampire.

but just because it’s normal doesn’t mean it isn’t also kinda fucked up to immediately start thinking of a rape survivor as Potential Romantic Object For Son. like, those two things can be true simultaneously. it doesn’t mean carlisle is Secretly A Horrible Person or anything, just that he’s not in fact an infallibly perfect saint of kindness.

so I think rosalie’s anger at him is entirely justified, even though I myself would feel very differently about being a vampire in her situation. I wish we got more of a look at the post-rose/pre-emmett era, when it was just her and edward constantly butting heads! I always got the sense that a lot of edward’s issues with her stem from her refusal to worship carlisle the way he does.

the emmett flashback in MS basically tells us that rosalie didn't forgive carlisle for changing her until he agreed to change emmett—the passage where edward realizes just how far carlisle would go to make rosalie happy (or depending on your pov, how far he'd go out of guilt) is really interesting to me.

carlisle got improbably lucky with his first two "creations—" a Perfect Son who worshipped him and a Perfect Wife who had secretly already pined for him for years, both of whom were willing and eager (edward's Murder Rumspringa notwithstanding lmao) to follow his weirdass animal blood diet. he was probably feeling pretty good by the time he changed rosalie (once lucky, twice confident, y’know?) it must have been a rude awakening to realize that however noble his intentions, his choice to save her went against her wishes and made her miserable.

I’m sure it made him sad that she would rather have died, especially once he came to love her as a daughter. and then there was that parental frustration of “why can’t my kids get along?? they’re both so great!!”

I also bet rosalie’s longing for her lost humanity and a nuclear family with biological kids reawakened his own (and esme’s) feelings along those lines. I think it’s interesting that carlisle longs to be human, too. not in the despairing way rosalie does, but enough to empathize. maybe they bonded over that at some point.

because by the time twilight rolls around, they’re cool. I find it especially telling that in midnight sun, rosalie was 100% ready to kill bella but then (notably unlike jasper) backed down the second carlisle said no. it shows that she really does see him as a parent. it makes sense for her character to want to cling to those “human nuclear family” roles the cullens have implausibly adopted.

and, circling back to emmett, his change being the thing that helps rosalie forgive carlisle also makes sense. because suddenly, rose is in his shoes. she’s directly confronted with a dying person who can only be saved by Emergency Vampirization, and she makes the same choice carlisle did—arguably for more selfish reasons!

so I’m sure they had a heart-to-heart after that, with carlisle (hopefully) apologizing again and reassuring rosalie that she made the right choice.

even then, I think deep down there’s always gonna be some part of rose that resents him. sure, she’s got her happyish ending with emmett and her consolation prize with renesmee, but it’s clear in eclipse that although she’s forgiven him, she hasn’t forgotten.

and I mean, that’s fairly true to life. everyone’s parents fuck them up somehow, whether in little ways or big ways, and a lot of people still manage to make peace with them. it almost makes carlisle’s and rosalie’s found-family bond more impressive, because they had to consciously work through their issues and maintain it.

and once you get past those issues, there’s tons of stuff for them to bond over. they’re both very intellectually-inclined people, and I’m sure carlisle admired rosalie’s pursuit of all her degrees and impressive mechanical knowledge. she’s much fiercer than carlisle (or edward or esme,) good in a crisis, and better at making tough decisions, which is something they sorely needed (especially pre-jasper.) and I suspect rosalie admires carlisle’s patience and (secretly) his optimism, two things that don’t come naturally to her. in short, they’re a good balance for each other.

Parenting - Satoru Gojou

I started these when I needed a distraction from my own thoughts lmao. Purely fluffy and light hearted, I hope you don’t mind the little emoticons and whatnot. I just wanted to try something different uwu.

Warning[s]: Pure fluff and possible errors I didn’t bother to check for.

❖ First of all, the moment Gojo hears the news that you're pregnant, he just kinda stares like he had shut down for a moment. Don’t take it the wrong way, his mind is just running in circles, processing the news and then the biggest, brightest smile breaks on his face and you're in his arms, being spun around. No one has probably ever seen him so happy, literally nothing could knock the smile off his face or the budding excitement and swell of love swirling in his chest.

❖ Definitely is the one to keep a copy of the first ultrasound to show off to his students, bragging that the little spec on the paper is his baby. He can't keep a secret like this, it's just too exciting so he has to let it out somehow.. If someone says they can't tell what they're looking at, Gojo will gladly point out his child.

"Aren't they precious??"

"You can barely see–"

❖ If he wasn't already protective before, Gojo is now like a looming shadow whenever he's home from work. Which he will deliberately take more time off just to be with you. There's no point in arguing with him once his mind is set, he doesn't care if he pisses off the higher ups. You and his baby are the only thing that matters to him. He's always there for you, helping you out in any way in his typical manner. Often says the most random things while aiding you too, like it's quiet and then he's just like:

"You know the longest pregnancy ever recorded was like 375 days?"

Leave it to him to look up little interesting tidbits in his free time while you rest. The whole experience is fascinating to him, especially watching you grow and change.

❖ Gojo's hands don't know how to keep to themselves. He was already handsy, but with your growing belly..my word he just loves to rub it and touch it. He can't get over that the life he helped create is in there, his heart had never been so full.

Also low key finds you even more sexy. Definitely loves spooning so he can hold your stomach gently and roam while he loves up on you. Ugh so tendy unless you want more of course. But he'll always put your comfort first over desire.

❖ The more you progress and grow, the less you get to do. Gojo doesn't want you to put yourself at risk..for anything. You want something to drink? He'll get it. If he has to go somewhere, one of his students will be with you to aid you. He'll say it's training or some sort of excuse while you just..have to take it or face his pouting self.

"You know I'm fully capable right?"

"No you rest, we can't have anything happening to the baby."

Don't argue, it won't work. But his concern and willingness to do just about anything for you under the sun is absolutely precious 🥺.

❖ On the day your baby comes into the world, Gojo probably cries more than you. It's those silent tears of awe, when his newborn is placed in his hands and that sudden realization that this little life he holds is so vulnerable and his to protect..his heart is already sealed and he's wrapped around their tiny fingers.

❖ At home, dealing with the nightly duties of parenthood, Gojo really steps up considering he doesn't sleep that much. He isn't too fond of changing times but doesn't complain and really enjoys rocking his baby to sleep after they've been fed. It's so relaxing and he thrives on the tender bonding time.

What's even cuter is if you wake up and find them both; Gojo holding the baby on his chest while his head is leaned back, dozing lightly from the peacefulness. Truly wholesome and your heart melts truly 🥰.

❖ Gojo is definitely the type to always be taking photos of his child. He captures every possible milestone he can manage. He has videos from when they first sat up on their own, finally being able to hold their bottle and even when he thought they said their first word, which was just baby gibberish..but to him it counted and he just had to have it documented. Don't get him started about the day his baby learned to walk, he's never been more proud of them and thankful to finally get rid of the evil walker that rammed his legs more times than he could count.

He will also make sure to have you in most of the moments, even if you're glaring or telling him to stop because you're tired or busy, he just wants to capture memories dammit 😤🥺.

❖ Don't blame Gojo if your child really enjoys sweets. He'll let them try just about anything he buys, finding it humorous if their face twists in disgust or from something potentially sour. He gets a kick out of it but he's more happy when they enjoy the treat and will give it to them..when you're not watching. He has to be extra cautious if it's before dinner, if there's one thing that scares him..it's his beautiful, perfect, loving, wife.

And yes, he will try to charm his way out of trouble with sweet words and handsy actions. There's just a 50% chance of it actually working hehe.

❖ He likes to say he's the lenient parent because it's true. If your child acts up, he will either encourage them or try his damndest to get them out of trouble. You have to deal with two children and one is unfortunately stuck in an adult's body. Gojo will probably teach your child one or several things that they shouldn't know at their age. Like climbing on something to jump off of or anything that raises immediate concern. While you're off having a panic attack from watching your child literally propel them off something, Gojo is just smiling like a fool.

"They're a natural babe!"

"What if they get hurt?!?!"

"You know I wouldn't let that happen."

Let's just say after a firm scolding and a promise to ban him to the couch permanently, Gojo will no longer encourage daredevil stunts to his child. Though he is a little sneaky when you're not around. He just has to pray his child doesn't let it slip when you come back or he's a dead man.

❖ Gojo cannot say no for the life of him. If his child wants anything, consider it theirs. He pays attention to everything when he's out and about with his child. If they linger on a toy, ten to one it'll be in their hands within the hour. Now he knows what not to get them considering they're just a tiny little thing, so he can limit himself. But when he comes home to you, loaded with one too many toys and nothing that you listed, he can't help but give that sheepish smile and melt.

"You know I can't say no to them.."

"Did you get what I asked for?"

It's a good thing he's cute and already leaving to do what he needed to do in the first place. Which left you to go through every little toy, stuffy and whatever else he bought for your child.

❖ Now when we talk about the first day of school, Gojo is more worked up than his own child. He can't wrap it around his head that his baby, the light of his life is finally leaving the house on a daily basis. It almost feels illegal and you're the one that reassures him that it'll be fine even though you're just as sad.

Don't mind Gojo, he'll be back to his normal self after an hour after realizing that he has more alone time with you if he isn't busy 😏.

❖ All in all, Gojo was taken back by the idea of parenthood but as time progressed he became more excited and embraced this beautiful new life. He's protective and light hearted, always making sure his child isn't put through any of the stress he dealt with growing up. And most importantly, he'll love his child unconditionally and make subtle hints about wanting more down the road 😉.

✭ Haechan would use music and humor to give you strength throughout the day.. he would sing you to sleep and soothe you with sweet humming whenever you were feeling down

✭ and he would watch funny videos with you to make you laugh, which was a nice distraction for both of you

✭ most of all he used his genuine love for you to make you heal.. he’d tell you “I love you” whenever he got the chance and not once it wasn’t genuine

If we look carefully we can see that his relationship with every superior are pretty densed : he is absolutely against his own cast and I won’t be surprised that he is pretty distant with his family and the member of his clan. Which mean basically they’re not so much people who are closed to him

As I previously said he tends to not be around that much because of his jobs, but that’s okay he would make it up one way or another.

I know some people believes that he will take his S/O to the greatest restaurant, or into those luxurious places. It’s true sometimes he just find you to have a good quality time but he also wants to spoil you so it’s good way to do it.

But most of the time I think he might be into those private date when you’re into a little cafe or having a picnic. Again I don’t think he had the chance to enjoy those private moment with his family when you’re just enjoying the people you loved in the simple way. And he just loves seeing you cook for him it stroke his ego and melt his heart.

I heard somewhere that he might be touch starved and I agree with that postulate. I do believe he wasn’t raised with love and tenderness so that would explain why he could be so touchy-feely with people and so that’s explain why he is clingy.

He is definetly into carrying and simple person, he is just a giant baby he loves being taken care of he wants to have your attention 24/7, that’s just who he is. You guys definetly got some « sweet » dates at 4 AM : like he just woke up because he dreamt about those delicious mocchi he tastes when he first met Itadori and now all he could think about was those mocchi. Same things it’s even worse cause sometimes during a mission he walked around a new street and it’s like « damn that’s look yummy » and after being sure nothing could harm you (especially if you’re allergic of If you a vegan or veggies) he would book a reservation and then took you on a date.

He does that a lot, since he can’t manage to have quality time as much as he wanted he just does things like that so you can share a meal together and also because he can tease you during the whole night then teleport both of you into his house for « sport » activity.

Also he tends to buy some many things, like he could walked in Tokyo and see a grandma selling some candle he would buy it just because it seemed aesthetic for him, and now everytime he saw something that reminds him of you he buys it. So you guys got plenty of things that you can’t throw away since Gojo linked them with a memory of you.

Speaking of things who belongs to you, he wears your clothes and you wears his, remember how easily he wore Nobara’s skirt he is pretty skinny he can wear anything and won’t bother asking you first. Just get used to it cause he doesn’t plan on giving up.

I do believe that a relationship with you force him to be more « mature » or at least not always acting like a child. But let’s be real he would still act like a baby you sign for this.

In the end it’s an healthy relationship even though he tends to be flirty sometimes, he would be careful if he noticed that you’re not comfortable, or he would make sure to reminds you that he is actually in love with you, he won’t go anywhere. No matter if you’re an exorcist or not, you would still be afraid that one day he won’t comeback, so he makes sure to spoil you, love you to erase that fear. He is the strongest and doesn’t plan on leaving you soon.
