The story behind this drawing (im so bad): i should have posted it when season 2 of JJK dropped, BUT IM AFRAID OF SOCIALS AND AS I SAID IN PREVIOUS POSTS i never understand when a piece is finished or not, and so i just keep my drawings hidden in my procreate folders. And then i forget them because im BAD and i need a punch in my face. But sooner or later i always just come back to the living world🫡

ACROSS THE SPIDER VERSE SPOILERS !!

maybe it’s just tiktok or maybe it’s the internet, but i’ve been seeing SO many people complain and bash on gwen in ACTV like she isn’t a teenager.

“she betrayed miles” SHE IS 16. she is scared of what her dad will think of her being spiderwoman, she has lost her best friend (peter) and can’t see the other one- and here comes a guy promising her a place to stay with infinite numbers of people who are just like her.

she’s her own person, and she goes through her own arc in this movie and you can see her struggle with wanting to side with miles and being absaloute ly terrified the known universe might just go ‘poof’ according to what miguel has been telling her. jessica drew, somebody she considers a role model, even follows miguel. how can she not? how can she not follow through with what miguel is saying if it can save people?

she’s scared, hurt and she misses her friends. can we not try to vilify somebody who’s just been built to be a complex character?
