She is naked and wet, as if she’d just awakened from the deepest depths of the gaping sea

I'm the kraken, a mermaid, I'm drunk lulled quietly to rest on the shore of my drunkenness

Sea foam, champagne foam becomes ominously synonymous in solitude Wet, bleeding spots spread like jellyfish under my squid halo Salt and iron The air is crisp sharp as the tip of a knife

And there she drowns, the kraken Impaled by sailors and poisoned by the cup that holds drink Sinking far into its black depths to be quietly devoured and never to be seen again

She lets go of the outside world and becomes

One day there will be a man in your life that you'll wish you never met. Then five years later something will happen- like he'll post that his company is hiring for your dream role- and you'll realize why you were supposed to meet him. People come into our lives for all different reasons. Sometimes different reasons than we expect. And just because they didn't play the role in our life that we wanted them to, it doesn't mean there isn't room for them somewhere else.
