Is one of my favorite slice of life/ comedy anime I'd seen in many years. Not only is it adorable and easy to casually binge watch at a slow pace, its also a family friendly show!

Squid Girl follows Ika Musume, a half squid half girl sea creature that comes up to invade the human world for polluting the ocean. However, through some silly hijinks, she ends up working as a waitress for the damages she causes and actually ends up living with the humans who sort of adopt her into their family. The episodes focus on her day to day life learning about humans, how she learns to grow closer to her new friends and how she still tries to invade the land anyway.(*´ω｀)o

The show has 2 seasons with each season containing 12 episodes each, so it isn't a very long anime. This was one of the ones I showed to my siblings as they were getting into anime growing up and they always recall how fun it was to watch and nostalgic it is for them. If you're looking for a nice and cute anime to watch with your family, friends or even just for yourself - Squid Girl is a big personal recommendation!

I wrote this song when I was 18 (12 years ago), and now, as an all-grown-up, I somehow can once again relate to how I used to feel back then; those lonely nights spent in my bedroom, writing infinite stories, creating endless moments in my head... Talking to myself, feeling everything through my body, all at once... The wind blowing through the curtains of my window in the afternoons; the rain falling in the distance, collapsing with the trees and rocks of a nearby forest... I was feeling alive back then, and I didn't know it, in a way I cannot explain, but that I know most people can relate to... Depression, it never goes away... You just learn how to live with it.
