Rewatching Adventure Time, I can't help but think so much Princess Bubblegum discourse would be non-existent if people actually watched the show to completion instead of randomly hyperfocusing on some of PB's bad deeds.

There's a very bizarre and commonly held belief that Princess Bubblegum did terrible things and got away with it, that nobody held her accountable. When the show makes a point, repeatedly, that Princess Bubblegum is well meaning but deeply flawed, and to some characters, straight up evil.

I see fans point to "The Cooler" a lot as proof that PB is an irredeemable character, and while it is her worst act in the entire show.... I think people forgot that that was the point. Near the end of the episode she stops spying on people in Ooo because it was an invasion of privacy. In another episode she's called out for exploiting some aliens and lets them go. She feels ashamed that her own people are terrified of her. She loses her entire kingdom, and realizes she needs to get her shit together.

I'm pretty critical of shows that are way too lenient on flawed female characters but Princess Bubblegum isn't one of them. She's awesome, and heavily misunderstood.

And this is going to both save and destroy Jiang Cheng as he carries this weight alone. #Heartbreaking stuff! So now my sibling does durge and I regular tav Viivi #(changed her to tiefling for funs) #at least I meant to do regular tav but uhhhhh things have gone very unfortunately very fast #anyway. Viivi is an artist; she does painting sculpting poetry and some prose. Experimenting with this and that #unfortunately she is deaf which made making connections a bit hard in the fine arts world #fortunately she has a patreon with one very generous patron (she's fey warlock)✨ who has bestowed some gifts of charms for her #which have opened doors of many art galleries #She's not a fighter so although she is confident in her own lane she is also very aware of her mortality #so she avoided any fights she could #which might have saved her but also got her into the mess of her lifetime #you see she couldn't fight the entire goblin camp and their leaders. She would've just not survived that. So she convinced them #that she is a True Soul. She is good at convincing people. It worked. They thought she is on their side. Good #Halsin also though Viivi was on their side. Halsin attacked Viivi's party. Now Halsin is dead. #So Viivi and her group were still alone deep within enemy fort. Viivi made new plans. She frees the prisoner who says he will warn the grov #Good thinks Viivi now they know to flee. I will go to Minthara and tell we got the information from prisoner of the grove location #she will trust us and we walk off #when we get back to grove they have not fled and Minthara is at the gates #Minthara wants Viivi to sound the horn. Skiper D. Schröder was a man who kept his composure even in the stormiest waters of life. As the head of the German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked Persons (DGzRS), he had encountered enough treacherous situations to understand that the North Sea was not merely a picturesque backdrop for idyllic coastal towns, but also a relentless and unforgiving force capable of sealing the fate of sailors in seconds.

On this fateful day, Skiper Schröder had once again assumed his duties, without realizing that he was about to face one of the most challenging trials of his life. The news of the collision between the two cargo ships, "Polesie" and "Verity," in the German Bight had reached him at the DGzRS control center, and his brow furrowed deeply as he learned the dramatic details.

Conditions out there were relentless: waves reaching up to three meters, poor visibility, and gale force six winds. Skiper Schröder knew that his crews were in a nightmare. However, he also understood that they were trained and motivated to confront any challenge. These men and women were risking their lives to save others, and that drive compelled them, even in the most adverse conditions.

"Conditions are challenging," Christian S., the DGzRS spokesperson, said as he coordinated the crews on the rescue ships. "The sea is as fierce as a beast today."

Ultimately, the missing seafarers inside the sunken cargo ship "Verity" were also located and rescued. They had been trapped in a small airshaft, waiting for a miracle. Their survival appeared to defy all odds.

When they were finally saved, relief was evident in their eyes. One of them, an older seafarer named Karl, with tears in his eyes, said, "You've saved our lives; I'll never forget you."

The sunrise the next morning marked the end of this dramatic rescue mission. The DGzRS crews had triumphed over the merciless North Sea and the forces of nature. Skiper D. Schröder could take pride in his team and their dedication.
