Reader details: female reader in Ayato’s part is explicit. female reader in Neuvilette’s part can be interpreted with the way you read it. the other parts, however, shouldn’t have a specified reader type. reader’s personality, race/ethnicity, height, physical descriptions, or anything of the sort is not mentioned. if anything is let me know and i’ll edit it. 

Ayato: No surprise the Yashiro Commissioner doesn’t pay attention to his new wife, the one that he didn’t marry first. You knew that he didn’t love you, and most likely never would because you were, in fact, the second pick. Actually, it was probably in the hundreds based on the amount of marriage arrangement offers Ayato had gotten considering he was one of the biggest figures in Inazuma. It didn’t matter, but he most likely picked you because your clan was a small one to put it lightly, so he most likely chose it, and you, because it wouldn’t be a hassle with the press. But of course, he would choose the person and clan that seemed, “easy”. It hurt seeing some of the people’s sympathetic stares, such as Ayaka’s, Thoma’s, and a few of the older women working in the estate. You got used to the lack of greeting from Ayato when he got off work, the lack of warmth beside you at night. You found it hilarious, although you were hysteric at the time as you had just found out that Ayato was off that day and neglected to see you, that he never, ever laid down in the same bed as you. It doesn’t matter no matter how hard you work around the estate, how long you sit up doing his work, which you soon quit once he yelled at you like a homeless dog, or even the distinct flower you made out of one of Ayato’s favorite sweets that he ignored. Not even a glance at your general direction, either. After a while, you decided to do some digging on his past wife, only to find out that she was in fact near perfect. Perfect reputation, perfect everything, to put it shortly. Shortly after asking Ayaka what happened to her, by pulling the sad, guilty wife card, you found out she was a victim of an assassination attempt that turned into a success. Of course, Ayato and his perfect wife would only be torn apart by death. It was poetic, and it made you sick. So what were you to do but endure the slow torture that you and Ayato’s marriage was? After all, nothing you could do could change how he felt about you. 

Neuvillette: The famous hydro dragon, at least to those who knew his ‘secret’. His past lover, unfortunately, died before him, no doubt to his immortality. Of course, you would soon die, maybe in a few decades but, hey, it wasn’t like he would miss you. You could only wait awake at night as Neuvillette went to fix himself his own meal, despite you staying up to cook him one and await for his return from work. It’s not that was the only time he never paid attention to you, after all the man had most likely been grieving his wife for centuries at this point in time. So what were you to do besides stay and watch this man be emotionally constipated around you? Why did he even marry you in the first place, then? It couldn’t be because his past wife resembled you, and it certainly wasn’t because you both acted the same. Was it because he needed someone to cling to? I mean, you weren’t exactly someone who seemed to not fit the criteria of a compassionate co-worker who would comfort Neuvillette in his times of distress. Did Neuvilette only come to you because you were his way of grieving? It would make partial sense, to cling to the nearest piece of comfort to help with the pain of loss. It made you feel like nothing but an object meant for his emotional wants, but in reality, that’s all you ever are and will ever be to him. 

Xiao: The famous adeptus long ago, had someone close to him. Shame they fell to waste during the archon wars, along with the other adepti. It was no surprise that everyone familiar with Liyue stories knew about the two of them together, which unfortunately included you. It didn’t pain you that much until your oh-so-loveable boyfriend got distracted by two kids playing with a Xiao lantern and one of her. After that, it only devolved into more. The lack of visits to your room in the inn, the lack of responses whenever you left your little notes for him near your meet-up place, and the extreme lack of thank-you-notes whenever you left Xiao almond tofu. It didn’t matter that you started to skip and completely ignore doing all of these things just to see if he would notice because the adeptus failed to appear in your room just to check in to see if you were okay. This behavior was unlike him, at least in the sense of him completely ignoring you. The only answer you could think of, that logically made sense, of course, was that he was reminded of his past loved one because of the run-in with the lanterns you two had while out in Liyue. So in terms, he seemed to disconnect with you because of the memories of his past significant other? You knew the adepti didn’t die peacefully, you could tell that much from the stories, so it wouldn’t be surprising if that also applied to Xiao’s past lover. There was nothing you could do about it though, because if you knew Xiao, he wouldn’t talk about her to you nor push her aside for you.

Zhongli: Guizhong. Of course, you were familiar with the name, everyone in Liyue was. Everyone might be a stretch considering the visitors and children, but the point’s been made. Morax and Guizhong were close. Close in a sense of possibly having relationship affairs but that was only explicit to you because of the way your lover would glace at glaze lilies. You couldn’t call him your lover, could you? Not with the way he would hum to the glaze lilies, the way his eyes would also drift away from you whenever you talked as you took strolls through Guilu Plains, and the way he would opt to tell stories of specific tales of his time as Morax, ones that included Guizhong in some way. It got to the point where you had to make up tasks that you had to do daily just to get away from the walks you two took, not to hear the different-yet-similar stories of Morax and totally not Guizhong. It was childish of you to be doing so, you had yourself convinced, as you couldn’t blame Guizhong for any of it. She had no part of this besides well, besides being your number one stressor for the past few weeks. It was tiring yet somehow for the sake of not wanting a glare or side-eye from Zhongli about his stories, which you never thought you’d get that tired of hearing, you kept your mouth shut, despite how hard it was. You knew it would only take so much more, though, before you said something about it.

one day he noticed your office door slightly cracked open so he peeked his head in to see you streaming. which you then noticed from the corner of your eye.

“sae!” you spun your chair around to face him. you quickly took off your headphones, forgetting to mute the microphone, and held your arms out with a big smile. “come here baby!”

he was surprised and flustered from your enthusiastic response. how could he not be when he’s been living with those negative ideas about the relationship for a while that he’s gotten so used to them. he reluctantly walked over to you to which you wrapped your arms around his neck, making him bend down to your eye level.

“i’m so sorry i’ve been so busy lately,” you said before cupping his face and planting kisses on his cheeks. “i promise i’ll make it up to you.” his face softened as he felt his worries wash away thanks to your words and kisses.

to be frank, you didn’t know why you fell for him. perhaps it was his long, dark, luscious hair, or his striking eyes or his dumb sense of humor, but it was clear — you had fallen for keisuke baji. sad part is, what you thought was going to be a love story turned out to be a tragedy.

you knew baji quite well and was, well.. concerned about his antics and the way he kind of neglected school and put toman over literally anything, but you tried to understand his point of view while simultaneously talking to him about his habits. sometimes you’d call him over to your place to study and you’d spend all night together laughing at him and his inability to remember a kanji while he’d come up with a witty joke about how you, a foreigner, know his own language better than he does. dozens and dozens of homework and practice papers would lay strewn across your mahogany coffee table while baji would lay on the floor breathlessly tormenting himself to come up with a first paragraph for an essay. on occasions you’d have enough and couldn’t bare seeing him do that anymore, you’d just casually write his essay for him and call it a day — not before watching some episodes of jersey shore first, of course.

when inviting him over, you liked to think that your study sessions with baji actually helped him, yet when the sudden realization that you liked him hit (while you were watching him copy some exercises down a paper), you brilliantly offered to help him out and make his life easier by always writing his homework. in your mind it was supposed to be the idea! and he’d start liking you back! but once he got used to you doing all of his work for him, he kind of… discarded of you? or got bored? god knows, but he wasn’t the same baji you would invite to your’s to study with over some banging yakisoba or that delicious rooibos tea, he was much colder and plain mean to you than you would have even imagined. after all — you were doing him a favor by burdening yourself to solve his schoolwork for him! why wasn’t he the sweet guy that would fry his brains to come up with a good paragraph?

“why’d you call?” his voice is hard, indifferent.

“well, i — “

“come on, i don’t have all day. ah, did you finish the essay on Natsu no Hana we have for tomorrow?”

that was it. until now, the love you had for baji and the friendship (or what even remained of it) overpowered all rationality in that head of yours, but something about is nerve that exact moment was the final straw on the camel’s back.

“no, and i won’t be writing your essays anymore, keisuke. or any homework for that matter. i’ve given up trying to make you fall for me and the utter insesibilty you have shown me during the last months irritates me! i’m- i’m sick of you! i tried to be a good friend and help you out but i dug my own hole when i told you i’d do your homework for you. you’re nothing but a dick, you know? always calling me to ask about homework and bitching about why you got a B instead of an A when i got a C on my own essays and laboratories because i was up all night writing YOUR materials! while you were out all night beating the shit out of some guys who probably accidentally bumped your shoulder in harajuku! you know, i can’t even see why i even started liking you in first place, you second-hand-wannabe-vin-diesel-jackie-chan-gang-member-trash! i hate you! get out of my life and don’t call this number again.”

after your meltdown baji couldn’t care less about your disappearance from his life. if not, he was even glad you weren’t there to follow him like a lil’ lost puppy around and report everything you did to him. however, he couldn’t deny that sometimes he’d pick up his phone, and dial your number and when the voicemail went in, he’d still talk to you about his day and imagine you talking to him about yours, like you once did. and he couldn’t lie and pretend like he didn’t save up money for a small mahogany wooden table that he’s set up in his room, and every single night, from 2 to 4 am, he sits there and studies, or tries to, imagining you sitting across, content smile plastered across your face with sleepy eyes falling shut, while he gazes at you.

Hades characterization rant

I just reread some episodes to reminisce. I chose some random ones and it ended up being the episodes Minthe ditches their dinner date through to the episode where she slaps him.

And… I am so fucking annoyed at a 2000+ year old man who hasn’t tried to get his emotional shit together once in his long fucking life.

What is the excuse for this? It makes him come off as incredibly…idk, incapable? This is coming from someone who suffered emotional abuse and neglect as a child, mind you.

The excuse that he’s never had anyone who cares for him, and can finally heal now that a literal 19 y.o is around is BS, too. because after Hecate carts Minthe out of the office on suspension for slapping him, she turns around and gives Hades a big ole fat comforting hug. He and Hecate have a pretty decent friendship. She accepts him. They talk about everything. Hell, they pluck out eyes together. So where the fuck?? If I would’ve had a friend like Hecate I would have been able to make fucking strides? What is with this awful writing?

Also Hades you absolute piece of shit, why did you tell Minthe you wanted to once again try being in an exclusive relationship? TF.

There are SO many decisions made in LO that feel production/profit-driven rather than story-driven. Try to tell me that him wanting he and Minthe to have another go wasn’t the easiest way to keep he and Persephone in a piney-lusty stage? It’s the first thing that comes to mind. Minthe could have been jealous and vengeful after they broke up and Persephone could have turned her j to a plant for not stopping badgering/pursuing Hades well after he broke up and set that boundary. But no. Of course not. He has to fuckn emotionally cheat on her then take no responsibility, and get sympathy because uwu “I’m a 2000 y.o child because I’ve never once owned my trauma or tried growing and I think it’s a good idea to get in a relationship with an impressionable -almost- minor”. Fuck this guy. This is not a good guy. This guy is a self apologist if that fucking exists.

Why can’t the main couple own their shit? They’re the worst. It’s really obvious that most of the mega stans are also impressionable teenagers who fucking identify as Persephone. How irresponsible, RS?! She’s a terrible protagonist with a god awful (heh) male lead??

Mistakes In Healing:

I’ve made many mistakes in healing because this is my first time. I’m going off what I can understand/the tools available to me. Lack of information or lack of awareness.

today I realized for the first time, there’s been so many times in my healing process I was focused on the “Whys” instead of the “lessons.”

I’ve been so hurt and felt like I just wanted to know “why my exes chose me” and “why did they abuse me the way they did”… “was it intentional?” I mean, I’ve almost been obsessed with wanting the answers to my questions I resorted to trying to find so much information and understanding. Just constantly dwelling on my exes, the stories they told me and the memories. Trying to put pieces together and find clues. Reasons to the rhymes!!

I was still neglecting myself, still yet focused on my exes, concerned about their behaviors towards me, what makes them act that way and I want them to be better men! Sure that’s all lovely but it’s still stealing focus off of me and actually “healing me”.

Today I realized I’m looking for all these ways to “understand” and I’m beating myself up because I can’t stop obsessing over my exes and feeling guilt like I let them down not helping them and then letting them hurt me when I should’ve spoke out more to defend myself but I just can’t change or fix the past. I need to focus on “the me in this present moment” it’s difficult because I do feel very selfish. I’ve always been the “caretaker” in my family and I’m not use to focusing on my own needs but I have many needs I’ve been neglecting! 🥺

Also I realized today I HAVE TO BE PATIENT with myself ❤️‍🩹🥺 You just can’t rush or push yourself any harder. You have to be compassionate for yourself, otherwise you won’t be compassionate for anyone else!! There’s so many answers and revelations in the Bible but I admit I’ve been too busy focusing on my exes and wanting to change the pain and the outcomes. Wanting to go back and re-love Andrew better and have him love me too but that just can’t happen. He was a lesson for me not a lover…. 😔

Whatever it is you’re healing from, stop fighting the process!!!!!! Work with yourself and looking at the past can help but you can’t stay there. (I’m most guilty of that) You gotta be present with yourself now and you HAVE to forgive yourself and love yourself 🥰

When you’re feeling too exhausted like the process is becoming painful, PRESS IN! That means you’re getting somewhere 🙏🏻

It still catches me so off guard when i see things where Graves genuinely cares for Soap, but its also so funny cause every time i try and think of that man trying to rizz Soap up, all i can think of is that scene where he sucks his teeth and shit before telling Ale his men have been detained.

And the thought of him being so bad at flirting but Soap either being that oblivious or finding it too fuckin funny that he just lets it continue is amazing to me. Especially when Simon’s listening into all of it and is absolutely losing his mind over these horrible fuckin pick up lines and hearing Soap laughing in response. Its just *chefs kiss*

Omfg Rudy and Soap? They’re so bloody cute. Those two would take over the world with how adorably soft and badass they’d be as a couple. Its like the polar opposite of Alejandro and Valeria as a couple and I love it.

Rudy would be the softest fuckin lover and would balance out Soap’s chaotic energy but he’d also subtly endorse that shit if he saw fit. He would be giving out affection and gifts like he was getting paid to do it and he wouldn’t give one single shit if you didn’t like it.

Soap would be so blushy and giggly when Rudy kissed him on the cheek in the middle of a pub, heedless of anybody else because if he wanted to show affection to his boyfriend he’ll damn well do it.

Johnny’s just so used to being the one to initiate any and most physical affection/pda that when its done to him he isn’t entirely sure how to react to it. He loves it to bits but he’s also so shy about it and its adorable to see.

And last but not least! Our poor Ghost and his affection starved self. Simon absolutely adores getting kisses from Johnny because they’re always so soft and gentle.

They never ask for anything in return or leave him feeling icky and grossed out. It’s just Johnny’s way of showing him affection and Simon loves it so damn much.

He can’t help but blush to the tip of his ears when Johnny mindlessly kisses his cheek before leaving for his duties, the Scotsman smiling brilliantly before he leaves. His heart warms when the sergeant, without fail, kisses him goodnight, regardless of whether their sharing the same bunk or not.

Johnny will quite literally track him down across the base just so he can kiss him goodnight and its so unbelievably heartwarming and it makes him blush something stupid whenever it happens. But he wouldn’t change for the world.

SPN Season 8

Dean & Cas ended up in purgatory 😨

But Cas had disappeared just before the end of the S7 finale, so its going to be interesting to see where he went. Dean, meanwhile is totally fucked up, which makes sense cuz he was stuck in purgatory for a year. To me, he's become more militant than ever, like his father was after John lost Mary. Doubt John would have worked with a vampire but it seems like new ally Benny was Dean's only way out of there so 🤷

Interesting that Dean said purgatory was pure to him. I guess it was basically simplifying his life down to fighting monsters and having someone at his side to help him through. Also I interpreted it as he was so far removed from normal life, for conventional norms and societal expectations. The rules were different in purgatory, which was basically to survive, no matter what, which Dean managed to do the whole time he was there. So anything else he did, didn't really matter, because everything/everyone else around him was a monster, supernatural creatures, who don't care about anything humans do. In a way, you could say Dean was free to be whoever he wanted to be, just you know in a place full of ravenous beasts.

Sam buddy, how could you neglect Kevin like that, smh 🙄, he was counting on you. Did his new ex-girlfriend die by the way? Cuz considering Sam's track record, my money's on dead.

When they were interrogating the prisoner and Dean flashbacked to his time in purgatory interrogating a monster, yikes. Yup, Dean is definitely fucked up. I mean more so than before.

Kevin's mom may be a tiger mom, but she is a total badass 😎

We finally see Cas again, it was cute seeing Dean hug Cas after finding him again. It made sense that Cas would be on the run to protect Dean, but it would be nicer to see them survive together. Maybe we'll see that in the next couple of episodes?

Garth came back! It was nice to see him again. I guess his Bobbyisms (that's what I'm calling it) were his way to honor Bobby since he's dead 😔 RIP Bobby.

Cas returned to the world finally. But I agree him just showing up again out of nowhere is hella shady, but of course heaven is behind it. We meet Naomi, who seems controlling and manipulative like all the other heavenly beings on the show, so greaaat!

Cas wants to be a hunter like the Winchesters. But they were so mean to him, being all condescending like yeah we get it Cas is an odd fellow who doesn’t know how interact with humans or understand their behavior as only fellow humans do. The cartoon stuff was interesting, something new and funny.

Benny's a great grandpa? Are we just going to ignore that? Dean you think you slick not telling the vampire you hit on his descendant? That storyline had a tragic end, doubt we'll be seeing his great granddaughter again…

Sam and his overarching story with this latest girlfriend of his - I'm just waiting for the part where she dies - again nothing personal that’s just what I’ve come to expect. That was cold of Dean to make Sam think Amelia was in danger. Like dude the what the hell. If it had been Dean, worse shit would have popped off.

😭 Samandriel is still getting tortured, so again I say, poor Samandriel and then he gets killed by Cas who was getting mini flashbacks of being tortured himself by Naomi. Poor little angel dudes 🥺

The LARP episode! I was looking forward to this one! I know about Dean's actor falling in the blooper reel, they made it into a whole thing in the conventions around the time… 😂

ooooo !! i actually have quite a few but i cant say bc they would be spoilers for later on in the series ;w;; but from the chapters released currently, it would either be the papa raoul moments i wrote in the recent chapter (he’s trying his best and i love him for that) or when [name] slammed the door on xavier (xavier i love u but u haven’t had ur redemption arc yet <//3)

ooh ooh !! the confrontation scene between [name] and raoul is also an honourable mention !!! the emotions were high in that one 😔

4. Did you have any ideas that didn’t make the final cut of [When All Goes Wrong, Fake It]?

in the end of chapter 4 where raoul made his first early appearance, i actually planned to make him act colder and dismissive in line with how past [name] saw him !! it was going to be a pretty angsty end to the chapter, but then i scrapped that idea and went with the more emotional raoul ending that’s there instead. i’m glad i did bc it would’ve been awkward to try and write him the way i plan to if i went with the original ^^;;

10. What is the line you’re proudest of from [When All Goes Wrong, Fake It]?

uh. can i just say the whole of the prologue,,,,

hkjdf no but i think the part that brings the most emotion and sets the tone of the whole fic is actually the prologue and i’m very proud of it ^^ “No one will ever love me, especially not when I can't even love myself.” this was also a very hard hitting line i know a lot of readers talked about KJS 😭

but another set of lines i would mention are :

“A wavering warmth embraces you, pulling and tugging you further into its smouldering affection. Eyes wide and mind blank, you can only stand frozen, arms stiff at your side as Raoul gently tucks your head into the juncture of his neck as he drops his on top of yours.
