Help needed

hey! i did this on my last blog but i thought i would just make a new post since theres been an update in the situation.

I'm im college, still living with my ab/sers(u), have new medication and need to buy myself food i can actually eat all among other things. im autistic, closeted and really need to get out to a safer space soon.

i cant find any jobs that are disability friendly, a lot of places hiring are less likely to hire me if i walk in there with a walking stick in hand.

so it would be a huge help if i could get some support on my kofi! i do art commissions, tarot readings, ive got a store open that i hope to add more items to. even spreading this around and donations would be awesome.

any tips like pain management, places i could go to or general advice for keeping myself safe and stuff would also be a big help.

I'M PREGNANT AND NEED TO NOT BE. PLEASE HELP

fuck okay so I can't believe I'm making this post, but here we are.

despite birth control and my best efforts, i'm pregnant.

i can't handle this right now for a lot of reasons-- i'm going through a divorce, i'm deeply in debt due to the marriage i'm trying to end, barely staying afloat as it is working multiple jobs. i'm multiply disabled and so far have been EXTREMELY sick every day to the point of being unable to function. i don't have the time, money, physical and mental health, or resources to deal with a pregnancy, let alone a baby.

on top of all that, i have an infection they can't treat while i am pregnant, so they're trying to get this terminated as quickly as possible. i have an appointment set for Tuesday, 3/28/23 at 2pm.

my insurance does not cover abortions except in proven cases of rape or incest. all this to say, I need to somehow scrape together $600 by Tuesday for the abortion itself, plus cost of transportation. it's also been difficult to eat lately and i've been living off yogurt and the few other specific things i can keep down, so help restocking the fridge would be amazing.

i am of course gratefully accepting donations but am also just getting started as a content creator and i'm happy to do custom pics/vids etc as well.

I have feelings about sidewalks.

That probably sounds weird, it's just a sidewalk. But you know how many city's do not keep up with the sidewalks properly. And the effect this has on mobility aid users. Do you know how hard it is to wheel yourself on a slightly sloped sidewalk? How about uneven bricks? The way it feels to roll over messing chunks in a sidewalk, or get your cane stuck in it.

being full time wheelchair user terrifying because. you’re totally dependent on this thing. this thing that often you don’t have control over. something breaking can be put it and you out of commission for weeks at best & usually months. can’t use it “carefully” & “sparingly” because you depend on it to go essential places. to perform “basic” life functions. its maintainance & repair & production quality, totally out of your control. “if production bad quality go downhill, boycott & hurt company profit to show consumer voice.” don’t really apply here. because you. can’t exactly go without it. n companies know.

My family needs groceries and our medications.

We're a polycule of four disabled and neurodivergent trans folks who are constantly living paycheck-to-paycheck and struggling to make ends meet with our several side hustles stacked on top of each other in a trench coat.

We're very lucky to have been able to cover all of the major bills like rent and utilities for this month, but it left us with less than $100 to our names and that's not nearly enough to cover all of our medications or to feed four full grown adults for two weeks until we see another paycheck.

I went to the store last night for a few staples and some cheap dinner ingredients, but we'll be scraping the cabinets by Monday.

The holidays are fast approaching and everyone is going to be tight right now, but we could really use the help.

hi everyone <3 things are looking up! new job has been acquired and it's a dream come true, and i'm still on the lookout for potential part-time stuff i can do, plus i'm working on selling some stuff that i can for some extra cash around!

unfortunately, until money does start coming in, i'm still in a really precarious situation and what i have from family help has gone into bills, and keeping the kitty fed and well. when it comes to me, i've been working on learning how to make pasta and bread by hand to save up but now even flour's run out.

there's far more important things happening in the world right now than me struggling financially, and i urge anyone who has the means to to check out these links to help palestine first and foremost!

the smoke from the wildfires in canada are crossing the atlantic and is now bringing a haze to the nordic countries

it's said that the soot from the smoke will deposit onto the snow and ice of the arctic which will in turn increase local warming (i.e worst wildfires, ice sheets melting, oceans warming and rising, stronger tropical cyclones, etc. etc.)

Ways to Help

The Canadian Red Cross: Every $1 donated to the Canadian Red Cross will become $3 to support those affected by wildfires. The funds will be directed to people living in Nova Scotia and other Atlantic provinces, some of the hardest hit areas, for immediate and ongoing relief and recovery efforts as well as community preparedness initiatives.

United Way: The Canadian federal government joined the government of the Northwest Territories in a similar matching program to support disaster relief and recovery efforts. The funds will be used to support nonprofit community groups who are helping local residents.

Donate a Mask: This volunteer-run charity ships free N95-equivalent masks to anyone in Canada who requests them, with priority to Canadians who cannot afford or do not have access to high-quality masks.

Firefighters Without Borders: This Ontario-based nonprofit donates equipment and training to communities across Canada and in other countries.

Odawa Native Friendship Centre: The Odawa NFC is a nonprofit organization serving the Indigenous community in the Ottawa-Carleton region and is currently collecting donations for First Nation evacuees (with “wildfire evacuees” as the donation type). On Facebook, the NFC noted that it can no longer accept clothing donations.
