one of the best things about house md is that throughout all 8 seasons both house and wilson randomly bring up tidbits of queer culture that they would have absolutely no reason to know if they were straight

it’s the way that wilson gets married and then spends as little time with his wife as possible, like bro what is the point of that*

You on a House rewatch too? So am I! Right now I'm on S4. Knowing the ending makes a Hilson rewatch fun. I don't care if it's not official. House chose Wilson. It's the longest lasting, most stable relationship House has ever had. You can't convince me it's not canon.
...Oh yeah, and the medical stuff is interesting too.
i am! i’m starting my rewatch tonight. i haven’t seen the show since it originally aired so im pretty excited!! (im not sure why i was going thru the house md tag, but i was and then i went down the hilson rabbit hole and im!!!! i can feel the fixation growing akdhhdjdh))
i agree with you on it being canon. it aired during a time where gay characters on tv shows were few and far between and rarely written well. the show seems to be thoroughly queer coded, using subtext and straight up TEXT to its advantage. + hugh laurie being the champion of hilson just solidifies it!

*Bucky’s POV*
It was the same thing.  She’d wake up, eat a mediocre breakfast (like a pop-tart or a simple banana), then she’d go back to her room and no one would see her except for when she’d come down for a meal or a snack.  Most would say it’s typical teenage attitude but (Y/n) isn’t any ordinary teenager.  Why? Because I practically raised her, well more like trained her.
We were in the same Hydra research lab for decades, in fact she was taken right from her home when she was barely a toddler at the tender age of 3 and Hydra experimented on her giving her ghost-like powers.  She can phase through wall, go transparent, and even possess people by entering their bodies.
I was forced to train her in combat just before her powers fully developed (they didn’t fully come out till she was 11 so from age three to eleven the scientists continued to prode, experiment and torture her until her powers came forth).
She was known to Hydra as the Phantasma, but to me she was just (Y/n).  After Hydra fell, she had vanished from the face of the earth until fairly recently Sam and Natasha caught wind of phantom-like happenings occurring in the Philippines, things that I knew that made me think of (Y/n).
It took a lot and I do mean a lot of convincing on our part but we finally managed to convince (Y/n) to come back with us to the Avengers facility where she could stay and train her powers for the better.  But just like me, she came across to anyone she met with a cold glare and a blunt attitude.  Sam says she’s like a perfect mini-me but for that he got a hard punch to the shoulder (might have used my Wakandan vibranium arm I can’t remember).
I tried my best to at least strike up conversations with her according to my therapist, but she always responded with an ‘I’m busy’ or ‘I’m tired’.  Now I better than anyone know exactly what she’s going through but there’s just something deep down inside of me that wishes to get through to her.  She’s not the only one whose been through what she’s been through, hell she got lucky that she only had a little over a decade of Hydra’s torture while I got over 70 years before making my escape.
I was in the kitchen fiddling with an apple in my hand when Wilson came in from his morning run.
“This the reason why you skipped out on the run? Playing with your poison apple?”
“Better than running circles around you Bird-brain.” I retaliated.
“Okay old man I see you. But for real what’s going on? I can see the gears cranking in your head and their on fire. Everything’s smoking.”
“It’s (Y/n).” at her name, Sam’s teasing demeanor changed to empathetic.
“The kid’s really got you wrapped around her finger huh?”
“Believe it or not, she was under my supervision when we were under Hydra’s thumb. In the split second when the Winter soldier was gone and I became the old Bucky Barnes, the one who had a younger sister, she—she was my responsibility. But any sight of my old self, they just erased my mind and put me in ice until further notice while she went back into the lab with the doctors to work on her powers.”
“Kid’s been through some serious shit, can’t deny that. No one can really understand what she’s been through, other than you.”
“But each time I even try to strike a simple conversation I’m met with a blunt statement.”
“Maybe the answer isn’t through verbal communications.” I looked at Sam confused.  “Back when I was still working at the VA’s office back in DC, there were some vets who were so shaken up by all that they had seen, they became selectively mute if not mute all together. And the way I had found to get them to at least open up was through things they were interested in. This one man who served in the Marines, I was told by his squad members that on their downtime, he’d be drawing pictures in his journals. So I worked one on one with him and got him some pens and paper and he soon began drawing out his nightmares and service time.”
“And what did you do after that?”
“First I told him that he should’ve been accepted into the D.C school of arts cause his work was better than most I’ve seen in the museums. Second, I told him that even though he chose not to speak, his voice should still be made clear. So I asked his permission to display some of his work before our meetings, now some pictures he did allow while others he refused, which was fine.”
“Get to the point Sam.”
“Don’t rush me man. The point is, everyone has a different voice for their trauma. Whether it’s through the normal way of talking, drawing, writing or even singing. Find out what (Y/n)’s voice is and start from there.” I pondered on his thought and nodded softly.
“Alright. Thanks Sam.”
“Anything for the kid.”
I was walking towards the gym to get in some training when I heard what sounded like singing.  I followed the sound and as the singing got closer and closer, I began to think on why this voice sounded familiar.
It was definitely professional or something because the way I was hearing her voice almost sound like she was shouting but yet it was controlled (I think that Bishop girl said it was called belting or something like that). I finally came to the room and peeked inside to see (Y/n) was in there in her Phantasma form.
Whenever she goes ghost, her normal (h/c) turns snow white and her eyes go from their normal color to glowing green.  Even her normal clothes shift into her Phantasma uniform of black and silver and on the center of her chest is the initial of her HYDRA name.
(Y/n) was flying through the air as she was singing along to the track, her pitch almost matching the woman’s vocals on the song.  And to be honest, she wasn’t that bad with matching this professional’s pitch as she sang along to the song.
Come to me now
Open your door
Don’t make me wait, one moment more
Come to me now
Open your door
Don’t make me wait, one moment more
As she vocalized and continued to fly with such grace like the autumn leaves blowing in the wind, I began to see what Sam was talking about earlier.  She seemed relaxed with this song, she could let her guard down and her face looked so much more relaxed and even peaceful as she flew and continued to sing the song until the end.
“Friday, play Love Power from Disenchanted album.” She said.
‘Shall I play the full song or the film version?’ Friday’s voice spoke up.
“Film version today.”
‘Yes (y/n).’ soon another song came up and it was the same woman’s voice from the previous song.  Suddenly my phone goes off and I scramble to get it out of my pocket and just when I finally get it out of my pocket, I turned back to the room to see (Y/n) was gone.
“Shit.” I softly muttered.
“How long were you standing there?” her voice suddenly snapped behind me which scared the shit out of me.  I jumped back placing my hand over my heart as I watched her go from transparent to solid once again.  Her glowing eyes narrowed angrily at me.
“Oh Jesus kid, don’t do that.”
“I thought men back in the 40’s were taught not to spy on a girl’s privacy?”
“I-I wasn’t spying…..”
“Then why were you watching me from behind the cracked door of the studio room?!” yeah I literally got nothing to say that’ll help my case. “That’s what I thought. Stop hovering over me like a ghost! All of you just—stop please!” just before she flew toward the ceiling I said.
“Who was she?” That got her to stop and look down at me. “The two songs you were playing was the same singer. Who was it? One of those uhh—what do you kids call them uhh—popstars?”
“No. She’s way better than that.” (Y/n) landed on the ground and she turned back into her normal self again.  “Her name is Idina Menzel, she was a Broadway star now a film actress.”
“Wait. That name sounds familiar, wasn’t she that Princess in that one Disney movie? Frozen.”
“She was a Queen but yeah. She voiced Elsa.” I snapped my fingers in recognition.
“I thought that was it. Yeah Sam’s nephews actually really love that movie and made me watch it last time I went there to help babysit. Haven’t seen the second one though, is that where that first song was from?” she nodded.
“I personally like Show yourself better than Let it go. It really showed Idina’s range that she had during her Wicked years on Broadway. But nothing compared to Love Power, the song you interrupted me on.” I rubbed the back of my neck nervously.
“Sorry. Is that song from Frozen 2 as well?”
“Disenchanted.”
“What?”
“Disenchanted, the sequel to 2007’s Enchanted.” I just looked at her.  “You haven’t heard of Enchanted?”
“I’m barely through on what people called the Disney Renaissance.”
“If you get the time, you should watch it. Both movies back to back.”
“Maybe, if you’ll watch it with me. Maybe help me understand what’s going on? Cause movies today kinda confuse me with all the CGI and intense action with no plot.” Her expression was stoic as she looked at me.
I know she’s a tough nut to crack and she has every right to be pissed especially after what just happened but I’d like to think she’ll at least consider this proposal.  Sam did say to find something that she loves to connect with her so I hope he’s right about this.
“My room, 20 minutes. Bring some snacks and drinks.” She then went transparent and flew up and went through the ceiling.  Son of a bitch, it really worked.
Well to say Enhanced surprised me was an understatement, never did I think about a story like this ever existing.  It had me invested at every second of it and the turn of having Giselle and Robert end up together, that surprised me.  As we watched the sequel (Y/n) asked me.
“What was the first thing you remembered after you broke free from Hydra?” my eyes widened as I turned to look at her.  She paused the movie and turned to me, her eyes holding such solemness to them but also sorrow.
“It’s not a good memory.”
“I still wanna know.” She said.  I took a deep breath before answering her.
“Throughout my decades with Hydra, I’d always get flashes of snow and the sense of falling. It wasn’t until I saw Steve that those images became clear. It was—the day I fell off the train. When the world thought I had died. After breaking free from Hydra at D.C. I went to the Captain America exhibit, and it began to slowly piece together. I wasn’t the Bucky Barnes Steve knew, but I—I wasn’t the Winter soldier anymore. It wasn’t until I got to Wakanda that I was finally able to break free of Hydra’s coding they had put me on, but that didn’t stop the horrors of what I did as their soldier. I see the people I killed, a lot. Even now.” There was silence until she spoke up.
“My first memory was Idina’s voice.” I tilted my head at her curiously.  “When I was hiding out in Kilkenny, Ireland. I overheard some kid playing it on their iPad and I was hit with this flash of a woman who looked like me and had this woman’s voice playing over the speakers at our house. It wasn’t until I did some digging and found out about Idina’s performance in Wicked that I remembered that the woman in that vision was my mother. She always had that soundtrack playing because it was her all-time favorite Broadway show. I even remember a Wicked playbill signed by some of the cast members being framed at our house.”
“She loved Idina Menzel, didn’t she?” I asked her.  She nodded.
“She did. I remember how she always had the song For Good playing in my room and she’d sing Idina’s part when she’d put me down for a nap. Or how she’d have a song she sung in Rent when she needed to get something off her chest. I even remember how she could almost match her range except for when she’d let out her famous belt and hold those incredibly long notes. At that point she’d give up.” We both softly laughed.
“Seems to me like she was a great mother to you.”
“Maybe. I—I was so young when they took me away from her and killed her right in front of me. I—feel like there are times she’s slipping away from me. At least until I heard Love Power, the song Idina sings for this movie. Which is this next scene actually.” She took the remote and resumed the film and we once again went from live action to 2D animation.
The scene played out as Morgan was told of what was happening to Andalasia disappearing because of Giselle’s wish, then they went to her memory tree so that Morgan could take some of Giselle’s memories and bring them back to her world to help free Giselle from her evil step-mother curse. Then the song came on.
Just as I had heard it earlier, Idina’s soft vocals began the song and seeing it with the animation made the song truly pop out even more.  But as the song progressed and I got to hear that famous belt that she did in ‘Show yourself’ and ‘Let it go’.  But it wasn’t until she sung the word air that I felt goosebumps come on my arm.
I turned to (y/n) to see her lip syncing the song as her hand was softly conducting with not only the music but Idina’s range as well. When Nancy and Morgan were getting ready to travel back to the real world and Edward said he’d stay behind to protect their world, Idina’s vocalization made my ears prick up.
As I said before, when it comes to belting out a note like that I would normally expect someone to just end up screaming at the top of her lungs but this actress, this Broadway legend Idina Menzel, could control her voice and just hit those note.
When the beautiful 2D animation transitioned back to real life 3D, Idina’s voice had now become a powerhouse as she sung.  And the first note she had belted out for the phrase Love power in this part of the song, god it sent shivers down my entire body.  I could even see (y/n) getting teary eyed even as she kept lip syncing the song.
And when she held that last note for what felt like forever—how was this woman able to breathe after holding a note like that? Or better yet not pass out while trying to sing that.  I heard (Y/n) sniffle as she paused the movie a second time and tried to compose herself.
“Sorry I—this song always makes me feel overwhelmed.”
“It’s okay. I…..god I’ve never heard anyone sing like that before. I mean yeah I was forced to hear Let it go about a hundred million times but this song……god I could listen to it an infinite amount and still get chills.”
“Right!? In this song, she was definitely channeling her inner Elphaba to hit those notes. They did not waste her vocals for this song.”
“I’ll agree with you on that.” After composing herself and wiping away her tears, she resumed the film and we just sat there and finished the rest of the movie.
In the past she was nothing more than just someone I needed to train in combat but here and now, this was starting to blossom into a decent friendship.  There was a long way to go no question about it, but this was a start.
Music, especially if it’s sung by Idina Menzel, seems to be the way to get through to her.  So if I get her talking about that, then there’s a strong chance of her recovery being an easier road for her to take.

Some Tincrow Moments From The Wiz Production I Just Saw While It’s Fresh In My Mind
Note: I had never seen the stage version of The Wiz before last night, so I could be missing things and points. Also, my memory might be just a bit fuzzy on exact details, but I know this stuff mention did indeed happen at some point.
Avery Wilson was Scarecrow and Phillip Johnson Richardson was Tinman. They absolutely killed it. Everyone did. I’m going to need a cast album and pro-shot please!
Scarecrow is a dance God once they get him off the poll in time for “You Can’t Win”. Why they kept Michael Jackson on a damn poll in the movie despite the fact that his dance moves would've been really cool for Scarecrow, I’ll never know.
This is the first direct Oz retelling I’ve seen to give Scarecrow a human backstory (Wicked is more of/better off seen as it’s own thing in my opinion). He was once a scientist who got his brain taken by one of the witches and turned into a Scarecrow. I don’t remember if it’s mentioned if he had a family in this show—it might’ve not been—but if he did I guess he would’ve completely forgotten because he “has no brain”. And I might be wrong, but I think it was mentioned he had a name too, but if so I don’t remember it. I find that interesting and fun to play with, especially if one would be able to compare and contrast that with Nick Chopper’s backstory (and/or whatever the Tinman’s name might be in this version of Oz; guy collects names like candy). I would have to see The Wiz again in order to do that myself, but you know, I like the idea.
Tinman’s backstory is slightly different. He was too gay and sassy for his own good, saying one of the witches was a “rusty” singer, causing her to turn him from a lumberjack into a “heartless” Tinman who gradually lost almost all of his memories outside of the mere fact that he once had a family due to this curse. He thinks he doesn’t have a heart because he can’t remember the ones he loved, just that he used to. Nimmie Amee isn’t a part of his story in this show. That’s about as tragic as the backstory Baum gave him, if not worse.
Give me an angst with a happy ending AU where Tinman and Scarecrow knew each other as humans but both forgot due to their curses, only to rediscover each other through their found families. Imagine Scarecrow having Nimmie Amee’s original role in a way—noooo—
Scarecrow mimicking Tinman’s rusty dance moves while they oil him (he mimicked a lot of people throughout the show—Dorothy, the wizard’s announcers calling his name, maybe etc., so I guess it was just his cute little thing).
When Dorothy’s trying to convince the gang to bring Lion along Tinman says “Are you sure? We already have to bring Captain Brainless?” (or something a lot like that, I'm paraphrasing), thinking they had too many already as if his husband wasn't first in line on the journey before him, only for Scarecrow to say, “I’m captain?!?!” *Insert cute happy head waggles* (Hits different when you know Scarecrow becomes the ruler of Oz after the first book till Ozma’s found, but his leadership wasn't mentioned in The Wiz so maybe that's not on purpose) I adore Avery Wilson’s take on Scarecrow. Tinman has always been my favorite of Dorothy’s friends if I had to pick one, but Wilson’s performance really made Scarecrow stand out even more than usual. I don’t know if I can explain it, it might just have to be seen; pray there’s a slime tutorial out there.
Lion’s kinda gay too, but in solo. And I know Ozma’s not here, so there’s not really any evidence for Dorothy’s queerness… but she is—I can feel it in my lesbian soul, okay!?!?
All of Dorothy’s friends not only want their gifts, but don't see the point in their existences without them. It made me sad for them.
I don’t know where to mention it, but Toto’s not in this show at all—poor guy. EDIT: I just learned that in the original production, Toto was played by a white dog as a joke that there was an all-black cast as opposed to him traditionally being a black/brown dog with a white cast. That is hilarious—why didn't they recreate that???
Tincrow’s only straight-feeling moment is with them both being distracted by the poppies (which caught me off guard in this show because traditionally Scarecrow and Tinman are the only ones not affected by the poppies because they’re not flesh and blood like Dorothy, Lion, and Toto; in this Dorothy was the one to break everyone free from them. I’ve been trying to understand the purpose of this change. Maybe to give Dorothy a bit more agency). The poppies were these sensual flower ladies trying to convince the gang to be lazy, which on it’s own is a fun twist on the flowers that put Dorothy and Lion to sleep. But hey, maybe that makes it not straight, just lazy. I'm all for Bi4Bi Tincrow too.
After the Kalidahs attack they comfort and hype each other and Dorothy up (Dorothy’s their sapphic adopted daughter, in this essay, I will—).
I forget when exactly this happens, maybe during the Kalidahs scene, but at one point they casually cling to each other's arms for no(?) reason. They just met and they’re already married.
Scarecrow backup-singing a little before everyone else joins Tinman during “What Would I Do If I Could Feel” (at least at my showing, I don’t know if this is a regular occurrence as a part of the show or just something that happened to happen at mine).
Making fun of the Wicked Witch together, calling her smelly, and having Lion join in. Bros, that’s what got you in trouble to begin with—messing with a dang witch!
Interestingly, the idea of Dorothy’s friends having they’re gifts all along isn’t here. Instead, it’s implied that after they kill the last wicked witch the curse is mostly lifted, with Tincrow’s gifts returning to them, but they stay a scarecrow and tin-man for some reason. I like to think they still had them all along though, that idea’s too cute and sweet for me to let go of.
The last time we see them they leave the stage together, Lion going ahead of them to reunite with his mom. I can’t explain why this feels important to me. I guess because usually characters exit the stage individually as like a goodbye queue to the audience, knowing that that last step off the stage will detemand the last impression of the characters. So the fact that the last impression of both of them is them together feels special. Or maybe it’s just me.
They both had such sassy black queer vibes the whole time. The show itself already has such sass, but both of them, Scarecrow especially, were oozing it in different fonts. They were giving off bear x twink—or maybe otter couple vibes.
Gay or not, The Wiz is so great! I recommend it so much!

Let’s try to make 1776 popular on here again:
Characters I think are homophobic/supportive:
Supportive:
John Adams: I mean he’s gay for Jefferson need I say more?
Tommy Jefferson: THAT scene alone makes it clear.
Benjamin Franklin: he’s a little confused but he’s got the right spirit. Also gay himself, duh.
John Hancock: he’d probably crack a joke here and there but he’s always supportive.
Dr. Lyman Hall: yes he’s from the south and at first on Dickinson’s side, but he has his own opinions and fully supports the LGBTQIA+ community.
Richard Henry Lee: He’d probably do his WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO if you’d come out to him.
Roger Sherman: he’s just a simple Cobler from Connecticut but is fully supportive. He’s too pure.
Reverend John Witherspoon: yes he’s a reverend but I’m convinced he is gay so duh.
John Dickinson: claims he hates the gays but is secretly in love with James before he dumps him at the end.
Robert Livingston: duh.
Charles Thompson. Gay for G. Washington.
Abigail Adams: supports her husbands affair with Jeffy.
Martha Jefferson: duh.
HOMOPHOBIC:
Edward Rutledge: You just know he is.
George Read: The little prissy from Delaware is homophobic and y’all know it.
Dr. Josiah Bartlett: it’s obvious.
Lewis Morris: idk I’m just kind getting this homophobic feeling from him.
Joseph Hewes: duh.
IDK:
Colonel Thomas McKean: I can see him being both.
Caesar Rodney: he probably doesn’t even care.
Andrew McNair: idk tbh.
Samuel Chase: someone outta open up a window to find the answer.
James Wilson: is unsure of gay people but he himself is gay for Dickinson.
Stephen Hopkins: too drunk to care.

I really like your analysis of wilson and BPD. I got to learn a lot too. I was wondering if Wilson’s obsession with getting married and being in relationships also has some ties to it? I have a friend with bpd who exhibits some of that but I know it’s not universal and I’m not sure if it’s even linked to that
It might be! I didn’t write Wilson, so I have no idea what the writers meant for his true intentions to be. However I study Wilson like it is my career so take this as fact. Half-joking. Half not.
I think the biggest reason Wilson gets married and divorced with women so much is because he’s gay, like it’s something about his character I genuinely believe. I think a lot of it is comphet, he’s gay, in denial, and marries women to appear straight and try to convince himself he’s straight. Hell, look at Amber; she was the “female version” of House. But Wilson couldn’t love her like that, because she’s not House! And she’s a girl.
But I think him jumping into marriage can definitely be a part of his BPD. Instead of just sitting with himself and trying to figure himself out, he’s impulsive. We see it when he proposes to Sam for a second time on a whim. I think he wants to ignore his homosexuality, so when the idea of getting married to ignore it comes to his mind, he wants to do it as fast as possible without even like. Considering it. He also seems to idolize these women at first, but quickly becomes neglectful during their marriage, leading to an eventual divorce. So I think his marriages and relationships with his wives/girlfriends are both related to him being gay and him having BPD.

So I recently started watching House
(I’m on the 10th ep) and here’s my impression of a typical episode:
Backstory of patient where everything is fine until all of a sudden oh no it’s not
House being a dickhead
HOLY FUCK THE PATIENT IS SEIZING
More of House being a dickhead
0.2 seconds of House x Wilson content (what I’m watching for)
Me screaming at the screen while everyone jumps to the defibrillator as if chest compressions don’t exist (Dr. Mike has taught me well)
Nobody knows what’s going on with the patient and House keeps making deductions based on almost no evidence but by the end of the episode he’s always right so eh, screw malpractice when you end up saving lives
Wilson being adorable <3
The orderlies each being awesome and connecting with the patient to convince them to take the medical advice they’re vehemently against
Happy ending :D except for the lesbians’ baby, forget ‘bury your gays’ this is ‘bury your gays’ children’ and I absolutely started crying when the moms learned that their baby didn’t make it

I usually dislike it when people try to make straight/not-gay characters gay and twist friendship between two men into “they’re so gay” because I love friendships and I really believe that close platonic friendship between two men should be normalised, so seeing people ship Merthur (Merlin), Johnlock (Sherlock), House and Wilson (House M.D.), Derek and Stiles (Teen wolf) and many others - it annoys me. Because it’s not canon and canonically they aren’t in love with eachother so it feels like people are looking for something that isn’t there. And I don’t like that. I mean I’m all for gay couples in tv shows, but when they’re canon, like Malec (Shadowhunters) or Coliver (HTGAWM). So when I found out about Destiel before watching the show I thought it’s one of those situations - when characters aren’t in love but the viewers are trying to make them that way. And then I watched the show and like… Dean is so clearly in love with Castiel and I ship Destiel so much (I’m only talking about Dean because that’s the part that never became canon). I don’t know if Jensen Ackles was fully aware that that’s the way he portrayed Dean but yeah, that’s the way it is. But I also remember Dean saying multiple times he’s not interested in men (“I don’t swing that side” and all that). And it bothers me. So so far I’ve came up with two explanations: either Dean is heterosexual but biromantic or he’s just bi and him saying he’s not into gays is just bi panic and denial or whatever. And I’m so pissed at the creators of the show because of the way they ended things. I mean seriously? The ending was awful. I don’t care if you wanted Dean to be straight, he’s not, so would you please acknowledge that and also go to hell for never giving us a proper Destiel ending? I just wanted to see them as a couple but I would’ve been fine with Dean admitting his feelings that would’ve been enough but all I got was they both died? Are you kidding me?!
I don’t know where I was going with this, I just needed to vent.
Now, I know that my post mentioned a lot of things and I should write more about some of them and you may want to argue with me about some of the other couples and try to convince me that they are canon or something and if you’d like to talk - don’t hesitate to message me. However if you’re just angry at me: I have so much more to say and explain but I’m just too tired to write it all down.

More of Shanie's Absurd Dream Fiction That (mostly) Will Never Be Published
................................................
TRIPPY SHORTS
(One Offs, Short Stories, Unfinished Symphonies, and Other Randomness)
........................................................
Story 1: A Little Fall of Acid Rain
Felicity Rodriguez, a Latina woman from NJ, visits NYC with her family. While attending a showing of Hamilton, the city begins to experience a series of disasters. It starts with several earthquakes, which separate Felicity from her family. She seeks to escape, but instead runs into Marissa McMahon and her sons. Shane is missing, and she convinces them to go to safety while she finds Shane. They do, and she does and as the earthquakes stop and acid rain falls upon the city, Felicity and Shane take refuge in an old bank, with Felicity falling asleep in exhaustion, her head on Shane’s lap.
*Note* I changed the ending of this story from the actual dream. In the dream itself, everything happens the same except, when hiding in the bank, the rain begins to eat through the ceiling dooming me and Shane and we cling to each other as we burn, content in the knowledge that his family is safe.
Story 2: I Know Who I Am
One night, while eating dinner with my family, I see a headline proclaiming Billy Joel’s murder. I’m crushed, but it’s only the beginning. A series of grisly, unsolved murders begins that offs most of my favorites across the board, ranging from Matt Smith to Stacy Keibler. I try to stop it, but eventually just go directly to Shane’s condo to prevent his inevitable demise. I fail, and find the killer to be Death Incarnate, who was luring me to him. Death overtakes me and I become the new Grim Reaper, saddened by the knowledge that I am indirectly responsible for all the murders of my favorite celebrities.
Story 3: Fixed Point and Fixed Pairings (An Unfinished Symphony)
Sydney Sweeney was a Shane O Mac fangirl. One day, a version of herself from the future tasks younger Sydney with using time travel to save Shane from a tragic fate in the future. To do so, she must attempt to traverse time, altering events so Shane never loses his status as Heir Apparent. She tries several times to do so, attempting to prevent Stephanie and Triple H from getting married, but only succeeds in hooking them up sooner. She realizes that she is taking the wrong approach and decides to try another method. (Dream ended here)
Story 4: A Song of Summer (A Snapshot)
Sarah Summer is an Agent of SHIELD with the gift of song. Her mystical ability is to coax people into singing their emotions. When she sees Clint Barton nervously watch Natasha Romanov being resurrected (using alien tech) she decides to use her gift and forces them to confront their feelings toward each other.
Story 5: Journey’s Beginning (A Snapshot)
Young girl Temmina Mills finds herself caught in an alien plot. The other children she thought were her friends were alien decoys who were grooming Temmina for their nefarious plot. Shane McMahon, acting on behalf of his mother and the Trump Administration (who is working with the aliens) is responsible for setting the aliens on her but, luckily for Temmina, the Eleventh Doctor is on the case and he whisks her off to an adventure (Dream ended here)
Story 6: Arson, Murder, and Revolution
Livia Wilson, a young, up-and-coming queer actress, is attending a gala for the GLAAD awards. The cream of queer Hollywood's crop is in attendance. She mingles and enjoys herself until a fire breaks out, started by the far right and endorsed by the Trump Admin. They wanted to kill the gays to secure the upcoming election. She reveals the plot, starting a revolution. In the process, she is captured and held underground in a would-be facility to inspire fear in the rebels. Rather than be tortured, she and her fellow captives blow up the facility to galvanize the rebels and (hopefully) ensure their victory.
Story 7: A One Fangirl Army (Published)
A young woman and Shane fan sits in the audience of Smackdown. There’s action going on involving Jeff Hardy and some of the women superstars, but the fans want Sami Zayn. They are close to rioting when Vince comes out to try and defuse the situation. He bitches at the fans until the young woman jumps the barricade to face Vince down. She tells him off and Vince has her dragged from the ring. As she’s being taken out, Shane stops the security guards and tells them “She’s ok, I invited her.” They leave her in peace and Shane tells her he’s impressed that she’d be willing to risk so much to face Vince and offers her a position in RAW Underground as his assistant. The young woman accepts, and Shane leads her out of the arena to go work out the details of her new job.
Story 8: The Rain Can’t Hurt You Now (Published)
A teenage mutant named Annie with the ability to manipulate metal has a horrible life. She is stuck with powers she must hide, something complicated by how she loses control of them when she gets emotional. She eventually convinces her theater-nerd crush Sawyer to go out with her, but he abandons her when forks start flying. In a deep despair, Annie turns her powers on herself to commit suicide, calling Sawyer in her final moments. Sawyer rushes to Annie’s side and Annie dies in his arms as he sings Sondheim’s “No One Is Alone” to her.
*Note* - When I had this dream, it all went down like this except Sawyer was actually an AU version of Shane as a teenager.
Story 9: Small Business and Spoiler Alerts – December 2020 (This one is for Alyssa)
Moira Hargraves is an intern at the Small Business Adminsitration in Washington DC. She has dreams of being a congresswoman someday and she was thrilled when she got the position in DC, especially as it meant working under Linda McMahon. Moira, a long time fan of Shane McMahon, dreams of getting to meet her someday but all she ever does is serve coffee and file papers for her asshole boss who pushes her around for fun.
One day, she gets the chance to meet Linda and, doing everything in her power to keep it together, manages to do so. Linda, ever the businesswoman, keeps the meeting brief but gives Moira a piece of advice for her hopeful career:
“Lose the fear. Stand up straight, look at people when addressing them, and don’t let anyone push you around, especially not men. This is a man’s field and a man’s game, but only because we let them have it. Make it perfectly clear you aren’t putting up with any of their crap, regardless of their position above or below you, and you’ll be surprised how far it takes you.”
Moira realizes this is great advice but Linda realizes there is something more on the intern’s mind and, with permission, Moira gives Linda a message for Shane.
“Shane. By living your life, you saved mine. Thanks, Moira.”
Linda agrees to text it to Shane and Moira returns to her desk, newly bolstered and, when her boss tries to be a jerk again, she stands up to him. He backs down and Moira realizes with Linda’s advice, she might just make it in Washington after all.
Story 10: The Family Business – December 2020 (Extra special long synopsis because Smash asked about this one once)
Nadira Reyes is a superstar and manager in the WWE. She’s been dating Sami Zayn for two years, also managing him on screen, and the pair are happy. However, there is trouble brewing in the WWE. AEW superstars and those connected to them start to disappear and some wind up dead. Also, other acts of violence begin to occur including an arson at a Fozzy concert and a bomb outside Anthem Sports HQ.
As all this happened, stories begin to swirl that the violence is the work of Vince McMahon who is working in conjunction with the mob. Sami, ever the crusader for justice, starts to build a case against the McMahons from the inside, the file growing with each new act of violence.
Nadia begins to fear for her life and begs Sami to stop as does Kevin but eventually, unable to dissuade his friend, Kevin quits the WWE and moves back to Canada for good with a final warning that Sami is going to get himself and the people he loves killed. Kevin’s departure only drives Sami to double down in his efforts, causing Nadira to question their relationship. Sami, in return, reveals his hopes of marriage, convincing Nadira to stay with him despite the danger.
In the end, however, Kevin’s prediction comes true and Sami is killed, thrown from a black van at Nadira’s feet, and dying in her arms. Nadira, determined not to share his fate, gathers all of Sami’s evidence and research, puts it in a file, and presents it to Shane as an offering for her safety.
Shane takes the file, thanking her but, strangely, demands to meet her in private. She’s certain she’s doomed but realizes she can’t run or hide. Going to the meeting, she’s ready for the end. Except… it doesn’t come. Instead, Shane reveals a file of his own, filled with far more evidence than Sami’s. He confesses that he’s been working as an informant for some time and that, with Nadira’s help, they can take Vince down together.
Nadira is terrified but Shane reminds her that Sami was killed trying to take Vince down, the least they can do is continue the fight in his honor.
With a smile, they shake on their new partnership and sit down to get to work.
Story 11: El Generico Amor – October 2021 (Note: This story was dreamed up during the time everyone was certain Sami was leaving the WWE)
Thereysa Malone is a heavyset actress living in Florida. Born Madison “Mis” Young, she finds a job as a lead Lin Manuel Miranda’s new musical “Divided We Fall” (Based on the Civil War). However, due to being distracted by one of her favorite celeb’s death, she messes up on the first night of previews, losing her job and gaining the outrage of the internet. Looking to get plastered, she dons her COVID mask and heads to a bar… only to find a very depressed Sami Zayn hiding in a corner with his old El Generico mask on. (He’d come to the bar because it was the last place anyone would the real Sami Zayn to be.) She approaches him and introduces herself. Sami clearly doesn’t trust her at first but he soon warms up to her and they start talking. Madison tells Sami about losing her job while Sami springs it on her that he did as well and that in doing so, he also lost Kevin (who cornered him on his last day, apologized for everything, kissed him, and then ghosted him for good). Commiserating over their losses, sparks start to fly and, leaving the bar behind and going to a coffee shop, they both decide to focus on the future, taking off their masks and sharing a kiss.

Anyway, Peter Parker is Bi, and I Won’t Be Convinced Otherwise.
Firstly, we have to get our bases covered. What exactly is Bi-sexuality? What is sexuality?
Sexuality is defined as a persons identity in relation to gender(s) they are attracted to. Why is this important? Peter’s sexuality has never been specifically stated in the comics, nor in any other form of media. It’s assumed that he is straight because of his popular relationship with Mary Jane Watson in the comics, and the movies.
Now that we have a bases for what exactly sexuality is and how it’s defined, let’s go over Peter’s partners.
Tumblr media
Obviously Peter and Mary Jane are a piece of comic book history. They eventually get married, though sadly, during the events of Civil War II (I think, don’t quote me) Peter and Mary Jane sell their marriage to Mephisto in order to save Aunt May
Tumblr media
They later had their memories of their marriage restored, they have yet to get back together and it’s been a few issues if I remember correctly. Next we have Peter’s first, and most unfortunate love, Gwen Stacy.
Tumblr media
They dated in high school where she later died. Of course, Peter has dated other people (namely, Black Cat, Betty Brant, Carol Danvers, Anna Maria, Cindy Moon, Lian Tang, and so on). Since we have his known history of heterosexuality out there, we need to move onto another important part of Peter’s Bi-sexuality. An important implication in any media, especially queer media though, and that is the homoerotic subtext.
Homoerotic subtext is important part of queer culture, a lot of the time it’s used to portray a characters queerness without saying it out (see: Dorian Gray by Oscar Wild or Great Gatsby By Fitz). In current decade, homoerotic subtext is often used for queer baiting or creating more realistic male friendships.
So what’s the difference between someone creating a health male friendship (or a character comfortable in their heterosexuality) and implying a character is queer?
Here are some examples of a healthy male character, both with himself and his friendships.
Tumblr media
Clearly he’s just taking the shit, and messing around with Reed. He’s comfortable enough (or as I like to see it, so traumatized because good god this guy has been Spider-Man since he was 15 good god that’s awful. He probably doesn’t care anymore). Here are some examples of Peter a little more than just a straight man shooting the shit.
Tumblr media
This has three meanings. Two of which I will take, one of which is just deeply embarrassing. Despite Peter’s history with humiliating events, I don’t think he would get his own spunk in his eyes. Leaving the other two options, he has experience getting spunk of - some kind - in his eyes, and/or he’s taking the shit again. Which is very likely.
Tumblr media
Kissing a cop? For....no reason? A little not so hetero of you Peter.
Tumblr media
You can practically hear his disappointment in his voice. Also could be read as taking the shit, but why would you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Making out with The Thing? Gay.
Tumblr media
This one is the most important. Peter is clearly tired, annoyed by his teammates (see wolverine being wolverine in the corner). Shits on fire, its mid battle, and Peter has the audacity to mutter “I hate men” to himself. The only people I have every heard say this in that was are lgbt and straight women, and lgbt men. This kind of expression only comes from people who date, or deal with men in a completely different world than straight men. Straight men use this phrase as an endearment, “Oh have you seen Bill today, I hate that guy.” “Man Jerry can do so many push-ups, I hate that guy.” Very different language, and implications (I also, obviously don’t know how straight men speak).
Now that we’ve gone over our bases, and homoerotic subtext. How else could we gather that Peter Parker is Bi? There are many tropes in media - queer media - that allure to a characters queerness. Like homoerotic subtext, there are ways to tell an audience something without specifically saying it.
Tumblr media
This is a gay wedding Peter went to in the recent comics. I don’t know if any of you have been to a gay wedding recently, but Peters face (the first panel above the wedding) is the same exact face I made at my first gay wedding. It’s the face of excitement for not only the couple, but for yourself. The hope that maybe, you too can actually be in a same-sex relationship.
I’m also going to allure to queer tropes as stated previously. Such as the real, and fictional trope of lgbt people sticking together. Thousands of years of belittlement and oppression will make groups of people not want to wonder out, and subconsciously look for others like them.
Tumblr media
Johnny Storm (and Wade Wilson since he comes in later but I couldn’t find a picture of the confirmation) is cannon Bi-sexual (Pan-sexual).
Tumblr media
Their friendship is deeply homoerotic as most queer friendships in media and real life are. Johnny flirts with Peter on many occasions (saying his ideal women is a female version of Peter, inviting him over to watch is sex tape, and so on) and of course oh my god they were roommates.
Some other popular queer tropes are: Found Family, Soulmates, and Enemies to lovers. Because it’s superhero related, this includes the Identity Porn tag as well.
Peter Parker and Wade Wilson have a famous Love/Hate relationship. I mean, how could you expect anything less when your first meeting with this known mercenary is him throwing your civilian persona out the window of a car. Now, Wade still doesn’t know Peter is Spider-Man in the current run of comics, but that doesn’t make anything about them any less gay.
For the Found Family Trope:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because it’s Peter and Wade, their whole development can be read as Enemies to Friends to Lovers, so I wont bother backing that up because, uh, it speaks for itself. One panel really does to add that cause though
Tumblr media
I’m not going to explain what a free-pass list is.
The Soulmates part I know I have to back up.
For SoulMates:
Tumblr media
Now this panel requires a little explanation. Wade kills Peter, not knowing he’s Spider-Man. Weasel takes over for Peter (they don’t know its him) so no one suspects he’s dead. Deadpool begins to feel guilty he killed his best buds best bud, so he tries to bring Peter back to life. Losing his stunning good looks (switching back to how he looked before Weapon X making his wife Shiklah estranged (then she married Dracula but thats beside the point)). Spider-Man is Peter’s “true self” or patronus for Harry Potter fans. Wade is stupid and hasn’t connected the dots yet, effectively making him the biggest simp in history. Seriously, who destroys their marriage for the c h a n c e for getting some with their idol? A Simp, that’s who.
Tumblr media
Peter forgives Wade for killing him (and for saving him from killing their genetic daughter itsy-bitsy). If someone killed me they better be hot as fuck before I even thing about forgiving them. Ignoring Peter’s super sexy forgiving nature, uh, he’s kinda simping.
Tumblr media
Died in each others arms. Nothing else is needed.
Tumblr media
They’re heartmates. From what I read, the feeling has to be mutual in order for it to work. The witches (long story, comics are hard to explain) that captured deadpool were expecting his wife so they could get the headmistress back. Instead, they got Peter. Basically Heartmates = soulmates but chosen for you instead of chosen by you.
To conclude my point:
Tumblr media
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

PeggyNat
Don’t mind if I just-
*slides on in with a rant about this AU, inspired by @critter-of-habit s lovely art and the Captain Carter episode of what if*
Ok so, everything up to Winter Soldier is pretty much the same, with the exception of first avenger being captain Carter
Natasha meets Peggy on the helicarrier, and Peggy and her fight side by side in the Battle of New York (Natasha definitely doesn’t get sidetracked looked at the very buff Peggy. No sir, she’s a serious spy. Very serious.)
The Winter Soldier - In winter soldier, how Yelena ties in I think she tried to escape the red room, but they didn’t like that. So they called in their Nazi friends and were like “hey want an assassin.” And the nazis were like “sure” and so that how Yelena became Hydra, and everything after that pretty much follows Buckys story. On the bridge, Natasha is the one she recognizes, which is why she goes after her. Other than the intense gay, most of TWS is the same
I also think that Peggy visits Old!Steve and Old!Bucky because they got a happily ever after for once. She spends an entire visit talking about Natasha and they just give eachother a look.
ALSO instead of Sharon it’s just a random agent who happens to be really cool, but simply isn’t into girls.I’ll probably just create an entire character for her
Age of Ultron- *kicks Brucenat away* so- mainly the same, but with Nat and Peggy. Peggys dream is kind of like Steve’s, only it’s a mix between an old fashioned party, and one of Starks, both featuring Natasha. But mostly the same. Peggy is dubbed “Aunt” by clints kids, who find it amusing to see who can climb the highest on Peggy. (Lila currently holds the top spot, and it’s definitely not because Natasha pushed her up. No, what are you talking about.) there’s a line similar to the monsters line, except it’s about the whole “oh my god I’m an assassin who’s killed countless people”
Civil War- haha were just gonna *yeets staton kiss out the window and replaces it with peggynat.* Natasha is trying to help her sister, but Yelena is being an asshole and keeps running away. Zemo still frames Yelena for the UN meeting thing, but it’s actually Sharon because I want more evil Sharon. TFATWS gave me a taste but I want more. Peggy is of course helping her girlfriend out, Clints facepalming in the background like “here we go again, adopting another mentally unstable russian.” Wanda is trying to help since she knows about mind control, Scott has no clue what’s going on but he’s a good guy and so of course is helping. Tony- isn’t actually trying to stop them it’s more like the
“I’m sorry Nat, but I absolutely cannot let you go after your sister who’s hiding *specific location* now, i need to go into this hour long meeting with Ross and his forces, we won’t be out for awhile” and Rhodeys just face palming in the background. T’Challa is of course mad, but once he realizes what’s going on, he lets them go. (He understands helping out your little sis.) Yelena ends up going to Wakanda because she has the hydra mind control, not red room.
Natasha and Peggy, on the run from the governments of the world, decide to take down the red room. Everything’s pretty much the same except gayer and Peggy takes Yelenas place (since Yelenas recovering in Wakanda) which makes for some awkward meet the parents moments.
Infinity war plays out pretty much the same.
Then Endgmame. Haha. First off, Peggy lives in th e compound cause she’s not leaving Nat alone. Second, when Tony dies, Natasha comes back. This is a headcanon of mine. Let me explain.
The soul stone requires an exchange, a soul for a soul. When Bruce snapped, he survived. He did not pass on. Tony did not. His soul was then traded for Natashas, because it counts as “a soul for a soul.” Because Tony and Nat are bros and you will never convince me otherwise.
But anyways, Nat and Peggy are alive. Peggy chooses to give up the shield, turning the role of “Captain” over to Sam. Yelena shows up, and she helps Sam out during TFATWS instead. Evil Sharon comes on in. And so does previously mentioned agent. And of course,Yelena and Sam have Bucky and Sam energy because between Yelena “such a poser” and Sam “he mastered the art of standing heroically” Wilson, you know there’s gonna be some banter
And Peggy and Nat live happily ever after in England, happily retired and ignoring Wandas mental breakdown and the whatever the heck Sam and Yelena and Zemo are up to.
I’m really sorry for that, I just have a lot of feels about this.
If you didn’t want to read all that, here’s a recap-
Peggy and Nat are in love
They are retired
Natasha is alive
Sharon is evil
Sam and Yelena are probably making bad life choices
Tony and Nat are bros
Clint is adopting way too many Russian assassins
And everything is gay- I mean, great :)
