At first I wasnt sure what to do for this prompt at first but deciding to go down more of an identity crisis route, Image suffers from dysphoria and dysmorphia as an android who at one time was just conscious code who was then given a “human” form, her body never felt like her own so I decided to try and capture apart of that in this prompt

Image at one time was just an autonomous robot, but through updating herself and experiencing what life has to offer her consciousness began to fully form along with that came these existential feelings and confusion. Overwhelmed with all these things she was never built to feel

When the advanced android, Echo is rescued from a dumpster and rebooted, he awakens without a defining purpose or any memories of who he was before. Idle androids without jobs or purposes aren't tolerated, so in an attempt to be a normal android, he searches for where he belongs. Humans find him too human-like to trust and other androids feel the same, leaving Echo at a loss for what he was originally created for, much less what he wants to do with his new life. When he begins seeing the ghost of who he once was flitting throughout his memories, a virus begins to work its way through the androids across the city. Before long, it’s evident the two events are intertwined and only gets worse the longer Echo pretends otherwise. As Echo's past catches up to him, infecting everything he touches, he wonders if can he continue living the life he awakened to, or will he lose himself to the ghost trying to reclaim the body that was once his? I took a break (but not really since I was typing up what I'd already handwritten and I gained 1658 words!) from my 50k Words in a Month & took some time to type the first chapter of Electric Dreams, my slice-of-life sci-fi about androids.

Echo. The word turned name slotted itself into the fabric of his being. Stitched itself through his thoughts, becoming something that had always been there. Yes. He nodded. Yes. Echo was a name. His name, he stubbornly told himself. He beamed at Aria.

“Yes, I like Echo.” When Aria made a triumphant fist bump, his smile only grew. “And so, good morning, Aria. My name is Echo. It is a pleasure to meet you.”

[species]: Souax - xenari who are highly compatible with technology and cybernetics.

Demiboy, pan with a lead towards masc ppl, sub.

Arms are hardlight holograms, he can change their shape for different purposes and turn them into laser canons. Leg stubs are a common augmentation among Souax, and are basically anti-gravity engines that allow him to levitate, fly and gain incredible speed in space. Has an implanted modular headpiece with atom-sync communications and web access.

Might drop a species reference sheet for the souax later.
