no, you don't understand, I have waited two years for this ever since chapter 290 for one reason, and one reason only: Kaji Yuuki. Dude is a master at playing breakdowns just look at his casting. even the "hah?" and the grit teeth - so fucking satisfying. his begging!

but damn the animation did not hold back either. every scene nailed perfectly, even the one where he's clenching his fists. and the tears in his eyes right at the very end: !!!

so with bakugou’s hero name i’m just glad it isn’t kacchan. i’m not sorry at all it doesn’t really work. even though i did clown him for a little bit i actually kind of like dynamight. also i’ve been seeing it float around that bakugou and midoriya probably came up with dynamight as a hero name when they were younger (i don’t know if this is true). so people who hated the name kacchan and people who liked the name kacchan (because of what it would symbolize) both won basically.

also we all knew it wasn’t going to be ground zero. the reason we knew about ground zero is because horikoshi threw that name out of the running. also with the history of nuclear bombings in japan ground zero would be a little offensive.

and on another note i’ve heard some really cute stories about how he came up with it. like talking with kirishima about choosing Red Riot for his hero name 🥺

So Deku could be the reason why Bakugo chose Dynamight bc when they were kids, Deku said it would be a great name for him.

Thinking about it, that makes the most sense that Deku chose it considering he was always making variations of All Might names when he was little, so of course he would also do it for Bakugo.

Bakugo is such a cute little dork tho that he chose the name from the person that he allegedly gets annoyed by and “hates”

Boi, you love that nerd no matter what status you two are. And I love it 😭😭

Still a fan of Ground Zero more but I like the better clarification of Dynamight.
