Okay but real talk I kind of lowkey LOVED the Dangerous Liaisons (2022) show by Starz and I honestly have no idea what that says about me as a person (other than I love smutty fanfiction, for that show was absolutely and shamelessly an E-rated AU canon-divergence fanfiction of a beloved Indictment Of The French Aristocracy.)

I wanted to exercise my character design skills and ended up created a mermaid pirate. If she existed in any of my story universe she would be from my Gladius universe (where multiple worlds chaotically merged into one). Though originally from world of mythology and magic, the merging of worlds gave her access technology she normally wouldn't have. This includes her primary weapons which are her hand-held shotgun and her Maui hook sword which has a chain extension to whip at her targets. Story wise, I imagine her and her crew being minor antagonists to the main Gladius cast. I think I'll draw her crew next while their designs are fresh on my mind.

I’ve been thinking of Good Omens recently and was currently reading a SVSSS fanfic on ao3(Sit With Your Soul). Every human basically has daemons which are like your other half/soul that takes the form of an animal. Shen Qingqiu is still here but Shen Yuan still transmigrates but as Shen Qingqiu’s daemon this time but the point is, I read this:

May we walk with you?" Yue Qingyuan asked gently. "For a little while?"

The annoyance immediately flared up again, fierce and bright, but so did the ache, deep and quickly buried. Before anything regretful could be said, Shen Yuan reached out with his beak and preened Shen Qingqiu's hair, the surprise of which broke up some of the anger. Shen Qingqiu reached up to tap Shen Yuan's toes in admonishment and sighed.

"Does the sect leader have nothing better to do with his time?" Shen Qingqiu replied, and began walking along the path. It was a little rude, but it also wasn't a no.

Yue Qingyuan could apparently tell that he had been given permission and smoothly came to join them,

And I immediately went: huh, Shen Qingqiu is doing a very Crowley thing by not admitting something he wants and Yue Qingyuan is doing a very Aziraphale thing and knowing it’s something Shen Qingqiu might want and deciding for him even as Shen Qingqiu (Crowley) would start complaining about it.

P.S. the fanfic is not at all a SQQxYQY fic and is in fact a very interesting Gen fic.
