really quite miserable over the fact that this is one of the last conversations Bruce has with Damian before Damian's death
I have complicated feelings about that whole arc (it has so many rly lovely Damian moments in it, and also Talia and Bruce are at absolutely the worst versions of themselves. the art is somehow both deeply cartoonish in moments of real pathos and also deeply gruesome in moments of violence, two things I don't like. bafflingly and frustratingly there's a kali theme but also not really bc grant morrison doesn't actually know anything about kali. BUT batcow is there!)
but this moment. argh! Bruce sees Damian as a self-fulfilling prophecy of every one of his own worst impulses! Damian sees Bruce as once again the father who does not trust him and only ever rejects him! he has given up everything to be here with Bruce! he did everything right and Bruce is still going to send him back. rending my garments etc etc

Bruce and Clark start dating and Clark finds himself spending more time around the batkids and whenever he's losing an argument he just says "yeah? well I fucked your dad."
It's very effective.

Faux Leyendecker-esque cover in celebration of The Glass Scientists by @arythusa coming out in print! I got volume one for my birthday and it's crazy to be able to physically flip through a comic I've been reading on and off for years

i have a whole post percolating somewhere about bruce vs david cain and the ways they both instrumentalize cass while also clearly loving her, because that's what love looks like to them. but in the meantime: batgirl 2000 #1! right out the gate!
