seconding (thirding??) these last few anons. like the art and characters are so good but the plot.. its like someone trying and bake a cake and its going fine mostly and then they use salt instead of sugar and slowly you realize its actually one of those vaguely disturbing cooking videos where by the end you just have to log off. sorry thats so specific alksjhdf

💀💀💀 no ok that's literally a perfect metaphor. it starts off pretty solid and just starts going downhill the longer it goes on lmao. fr horikoshi's character writing is decent; he's good at coming up with character concepts and he does a great job writing their relationships realistically. that's about all he does well though lol

like ok, he sets up this narrative about the structure of hero society being inherently flawed and yet does absolutely nothing to change the status quo. he sets up the villains as sympathetic (re: dabi's childhood of severe abuse, shigaraki accidentally killing his family via quirk manifestation and then being groomed by AFO for 15 years and rewarded/encouraged to murder, toga being rejected for a quirk she can't control, twice being ostracized for mental illness, etc.), but then randomly decides that they're TOO sympathetic and retcons their stories, trying to pass them off as "bad eggs" from the start (re: dabi for some reason trying to murder shouto who was a BABY 😭, shigaraki apparently enjoying accidentally killing his family, etc.). i just don't buy that they were all "evil all along"?? what was even the point of creating sympathetic characters who were failed by their society if you're going to go back and blame it on those characters anyway?

also, the ENTIRE endeavor situation is ASS... like. again he sets up this narrative of a top hero who's an abuser and therefore ends up alienating his family and creating a villain. but actually everything is fine and his family forgives him now because he said sorry??? so fucking stupid. not to mention the fact that after dabi outs endeavor's abuse, he literally faces zero consequences. NONE. the public is sort of iffy about him now but that's it, he doesn't have his hero status revoked, he doesn't go to jail, and in fact his family specifically comes together to support him. like okay way to literally prove dabi's point

EDIT: OKAY ALSOOOO the fact that hawks, a character who is ALSO a victim of childhood abuse and grooming, is an endeavor apologist... what in the hell. that’s just so insane to me. shouldn’t him finding out his childhood hero who saved him from his abusive father is in fact, also an abusive father, result in some kind of feeling of betrayal?? wouldn’t it have made more sense for him to testify AGAINST endeavor and instead highlight the flaws in society that allow someone like endeavor to stay in power? especially after infiltrating the LOV and seeing firsthand that villains are human too??? WHATEVER.

idk tl;dr: horikoshi isn't capable of sustaining a long-term story and he should have hired a writer to help him because he's completely lost the plot and lost track of his own characters. its a fucking circus

You were no idiot, you saw the way he looked at her. Hearts in his eyes, stutters on his words, face red. All the tell tale signs of someone falling in love. It would have been sweet and cute if the person wasn’t your boyfriend.

Distance. That’s how it’s always been. No matter what you did you could never get Shigaraki to fully trust you. It was a struggle to even convince him to be your boyfriend and it was even more of a struggle to see people get way closer to him then you ever could. It hurt. You would make him food, give him gifts and everything under the sun cause you loved him. Honestly you feel like the only reason he said yes was out of pity. And that hurt even worse.

So you just watched. Watched as your boyfriend fall in love for another. You tried asking him about it and all he said was ‘it doesn’t matter, calm down jesus.’ which didn’t give you much comfort.

“Am I really that annoying?” You thought as you looked at your phones lock screen. Showing a picture of you and Shigaraki together. Normally looking at this picture would make you happy. But once getting a closer look, you see the reflection in his eyes as he stared at something while you took the picture. You try to get a closer look and let out a little sob once you saw the familiar body shape of the woman that Shigaraki wanted.

You open your phone and go to gallery. Immediately deleting said picture. You wanted one that just had you two in it. One where you both looked genuinely happy. Searching, searching, and searching only for nothing to come up. All of them he was frowning. You put your phone on your bed before fully collapsing on your bed. Sobs racked your body as you try to find excuses and reasons why he loves you.

But you couldn’t think of any.

You sat there, anger boiling inside you as you watched as that girl flirted with Shigaraki. And he didn’t say anything about having a girlfriend! Everyone could sense the tension in the room. Everyone wondering who would make the first move. You or Shigaraki. The last straw for you was when she kissed him on the cheek.

You stood up throwing your hands on the table startling everyone. You sent daggers at Shigaraki while you stomped out of the room. Slamming the door shut along the way. Anyone that passed you could obviously sense your untrained anger.

You walked to your room and got some clothes, shoving them in a backpack. You weren’t leaving forever just leaving for a little bit to clear your mind. You’ve watched this shit go down for how long? Watching as your boyfriend flirted with other women.

Putting the backpack straps over your shoulders you walk out of the  bar doors and into the alleyway.No words were exchanged with anyone when you left. They only saw you leave. No explanation. They didn’t even know where you were going. Which concerned them. Were you leaving them? Everyone seemed confused and interested at the drama that followed there new leader and his probably ex-girlfriend.

Shigaraki sat at his desk in his room. Lights off as the darkness consumed most of the room where his computer screen light couldn’t reach. His fingers tapping on the keys in furious manners as he watched closely, trying to stay alive.

“And here I am thinking I’m an asshole.” Shigaraki jumped causing his character to die. He turned to the burnt male, glaring at him with all his might.

“You are.” Shigaraki growled.

“At least I’m not the type of guy that cheats.” Dabi gave Shigaraki a deadpanned look.

“What the hell do you mean ashtray?”

“Oh please hand man, everyone knows your fucking that chick that keeps flirting with you.” Dabi sends Shigaraki a glare. Did he not see that you were hurting? Dabi was always protective since he saw you as a little sister.

“The hell do you mean? I haven’t been fucking anyone.”

“Thats a bunch of bullshit. You know that the girl that keeps flirting with you. That girl is probably only with you to be higher up. Unlike (y/n) who truly loves your selfish ass.”  Shigaraki only rolled his eyes before turning back to his screen.

“You don’t know what you have until it’s gone Shigaraki.” Dabi turned around and went to close the door behind him.

“And said thing is slipping through your fingers.”

“Yeah Dabi I’m fine. I just had to leave for a bit. I can only take so much ya know?” You spoke into the phone. Dabi had called you asking if you were okay. In which you told him that you just needed time to yourself.

“What do you think I should do? I can’t stand watching that girl flirt with him any longer. I feel as if I truly do mean nothing to him.” You felt tears rolling down your face as you looked at yourself in the mirror. Picking yourself apart trying to find whats so wrong with you that Shigaraki can’t love you.

“Dump him?” The thought of leaving Shigaraki burned your entire being. How could you just leave? Dabi made it sound so easy. But deep down inside you knew he was right. You never wanted to admit it but facing the facts seemed easier than just slowly suffering, watching as the man you adore never any attention to you.

“You know what. I’ll give him one more chance. If he fucks it up Ill dump him, I promise Dabi. Okay? See you later, bye.” You throw your phone on the hotel bed before flopping on the bed looking up at the ceiling. Breathing softly before you hold your knees to your chest. Hugging them as the overwhelming pain of sadness drifted you to sleep.

“Hey Shigaraki, I’m back. I even brought you McDonalds!” Well more or less stole it when the employee was handing it to the customer through the drive through window. But you thought it would do some good to try and be a good girlfriend.

But as soon as you open the door you heart drops and so does the McDonalds bag. There was your boyfriend, and that girl in bed. Having sex. Tears glazed over your eyes as you slam the door shut. stomping away. You try to rub away the tears that fell from your eyes. 

Fuck this, fuck Shigaraki and fuck the LOV. You don’t need them. You don’t need anybody! You can do whatever you want. You don’t need some cheating dick to tell you what to do. You can make a name for yourself! Be your own villain! Start your own organization! It will be better then the LOV could ever be!

Grabbing all your things, which wasn’t much, and shoving them all in a singular suitcase. It was heavy, but you rather be holding this than stay here. 

“(Y/N) where are you going?!” Dabi asked you, watching you leave out the bar door without a word.

(One day later)

Shigaraki sat at his little desk playing some video games when his stomach growled loudly. He let out a little huff before getting up and heading to the kitchen for dinner. He wondered what it was tonight. 

He walked into the kitchen only to see no one. No food on the table, nothing even started. Shigaraki scratched his neck a little irrated and went to your room only to see nothing. It was stripped dry. Like no one lived here in years.

Where was all your stuff? An unfamiliar feeling grew in Shigaraki’s stomach. What was this? Whatever this feeling was he hated it with a passion.

Scratching his neck with more vigor this time. Where were you? 

“Dabi have you seen-” Dabi’s fist had connected to Shigaraki’s face, knocking off father.

“Are you fucking serious you asshole? Who knew that you of all people would be a cheater.” Dabi growled at Shigaraki who in return punched him back. There were fists were flying as each other tied to get a winning hit on the other one.

“SHIGARAKI AND DABI! STOP IT IMMEDIATELY!” Kurogiri yelled at them as he teleported both men into there rooms. Dabi could be heard screaming at Shigaraki from his room and Shigaraki screaming at Dabi from his.

One week later

You laid down in the alleyway you back against a brick wall as the rain from that night soaked you. Your hair sticking to your face. Well at least this was some form of a shower right? Sighing you put your drenched hood up and hide your face into your knees crying as you hit rock bottom. 

To say it was cold was an understatement. It was fucking freezing! The cold wind combined by the rain made it feel like you were going to freeze to death. Well at least if you freeze to death you would never see his stupid face ever again-

“What happened to you? Why are you in the streets?” A voice called out to you. Sniffling you look up and see a man with auburn hair  looking down at you.

“I...my boyfriend of 2 years cheated on me for another girl...” You say as the pain was obvious in your voice.

“Such a shame, you seem as the kind to do anything for their lover.”

“Yeah i guess.”

“Well may i ask if your one for revenge?” His question made you arch an eyebrow as you look at him.

“Well at times yeah.”

“I’ll make you a deal, work for me and you’ll never be lonely again. We’ll think of a revenge plan for your lover, but that is if you work for me.” You looked up at the man and saw 2 more emerge from the darkness. You sat on the ground thinking for a bit before slowly getting up and nodding your head.

“Good, the names Overhaul. I’ll be your boss from now on.”

Dabihawks au: Okay so taking the Dabi is Touya and the childhood friends theroy. Im adding to it in a sense. So Dabihawks were dating before Touya became Dabi and before Hawks fully became well Hawks.

Hawks never got over Touya and it shows. The commission told him that no matter what he had to he had to join the league even hinting towards seducing Dabi.

Hawks didnt of course. Since he would be loyal to Touya. So he meets Dabi and he sorta freezes cause his eyes remind him so much of Touya.

Hawks tries to ignore the nagging feeling and the memories of Touya and focus on the mission.

Time passes and he gets in with the league. He managed to do it without flirting with Dabi as well. He finds comfort in being with Dabi, Hawks thinks it cause he reminds him so much of Touya when hes not being a crazy villain, but Hawks kinda likes when he is.

One night hes hanging with the league and they are all drinking. Toga asks if Hawks has ever been in love cause thats something she would ask.

Hawks goes quiet before giving her a sad smile. "Never stopped." Is all he says because its true. Even if Touya is dead and gone he wont stop loving him.

He didnt notice the way Dabi tensed up or looked away from him. He didnt notice the pained expression in Dabis eyes. The guilt he felt.

Toga tries to get more answers and Hawks almost surivies her intense questioning. Almost. "We were childhood friends. We fell in love, dated and then one day...One day he was just gone...Ill never forget the smile he gave me before he left that day. Or the way he said I love you. Neither of us knowing it woukd be the last time." Hawks didnt cry. He hadnt cried since he found out Touya was dead, but that night he just sobbed.

No one brings it up again. Which Hawks is thankful for, but Dabi begins to avoid him.

Which sucks since Hawks was close to him. He tries to confront him but Dabi threatens to burn him if he doesnt leave him alone. So he does.

Dabi was pissed at himself which is he was avoiding Hawks. He never realized how much he hurt Hawks. He just figured he would move on, find someone new. Plus Dabi was really enjoying hanging out with Hawks again so hes sulking over his choice to avoid him.

Toga notices how Dabi is sulking and tries to fix it. She confronts him and since Dabi jas a hard time saying no to the girl he just gibes an excuse, and mentions Hawks.

Now Toga thinks hes jealous. Jealous that Hawks loves someone who is dead. So she makes it her mission to set them up.

She even gets everyone else involved. So one day they manage to lock Dabi and Hawks in a room together. "Burn it down and Ill decay your ass." Shigaraki threatens and Dabi just isnt in the mood to deal with that so he gives in and just stays in the room with Hawks.

Hawks is so confused. He honestly thought something was wrong since he calles over for an emergency.

Its silent for so long before Hawks breaks the silence. "Youve been avoiding me. Did I do something wrong?" Hawks was still confused about that.

Dabi just glares at him. "Its none of your business." Hawks just holds his hands up in surrender.

Its silent again. "Why are you still in love with a dead guy?" Dabi then asks. Hes curious. Hawks wasnt expecting that just stares at him.

"Its a simple question." Dabi rolls his eyes. Hawks brain seems to catch up and he shrugs. "He saw me for me. Never made me out to just be a hero. Made me feel loved for the first time in forever. I csnt not still love him." (My brain died before I could think of what else to say). So Hawks just rambles on and on about Touya.

The guilt eating away at Dabi and he just snaps. "YOU SHOULDN'T STILL LOVE ME!" Stopping Hawks in his tracks. He wanted to ask what he meant but it wasnt hard to figure out. "Oh." Is all Hawks can say because he's figured it out. "Just stop loving me. If you know whats good for you Hawks you'll fucking stop." Dabi tells him.

Hawks has so many questions but he doesnt get the chance. The league come back and Dabi leaves quickly. "What did Dabi do?" Toga demands. Hawks hadnt even realized he was crying.

Hawks then leaves and doesnt return to the league for a while. He gives text updates and phone calls but hes not there. He needed time to process but once he did it made everything so much worse. So many unanswered questions, so much pain.

Hawks is overworking himself. He doesnt understand anything. But all he can do is just work. So he does, and it fucks him.

Hes in the middle of a villain fight and he gets hurt. He brushes it off but god hes so tired and hes hurt but if he stops the thoughts wont stop. So he brushes it off.

He keeps fighting but it gets to much and he falls. His body giving out on him. Hes saved before he hits the ground. He doesnt know who saves him but he remembers warmth before passing out.

He wakes up a few days later, Dabi by his side. Dabi goes off on him, demanding to know why he wasnt taking breaks, sleeping/taking care of himself. Hawks doesnt really know what hes doing but he kisses Dabi.

Dabi is startled but leans into it. They pull away. Dabi is kinda in a daze but quickly snaps out of it. He demands to know what Hawks was doing overowkring himself.

"Easier that way. To many questions. To much pain. Had to make it stop somehow." Dabi just ends up holding him. Eventually he tells him the truth.

Dabi ends up follwoing Hawks around when he's out and about after that. Since he and Hawks are still kinda together he claims its cause hes being a caring boyfriend, but in reality hes terrified. Terrified Hawks will over work himself again. Terrified Hawks will die.

Hawks doesnt complain. Hes still reeling over knowing the truth. Over having Touya back.

It takes time but the two manages to fix their relationship that to be fair wasnt really broken. Toga gets excited seeing them together thinking it was all her. Neither had the heart to tell otherwise.

Hawks ends up joining the league for real and while theres a lot of work to be done everything just seems perfect. He has Touya back and honestly thats all that matters. (I dunno I wanted to add more to this but I just couldnt think of the words)

An AU where All Might is dead and villains run wild, and heroes have gone into Hiding. Shigaraki finds a tiger running around causing problems and takes it back to the League only for it to turn into a little girl with no memories.

Echo won't leave Boss’s side for any reason. I think she imprinted on him or something. Dabi thinks its funny because she literally follows him everywhere around the hideout. All For One thinks its bothersome i i think, he pulled them both into a room to talk to them about something. Don't know what.

Boss has not said anything to Echo about her following him. She grabs hold of his shirt when he walks away to do something, me and Dabi were dumbfounded when we saw it.

Mr Compress should be back soon, i think he was scoping out the Post All Might scene or something. I cant wait for him to meet Echo i think he will like her.

It's my turn to go get food I guess. I wonder what kids eat . That's all i've got for now. 🦎

Lizard you really should learn to hide things better, this little log book you have of Echo is cute. I guess ill clue you in on what's going on while you get food, better have my ramen.

After you left Boss told me he was going to play some kind of online game or whatever as if I cared to know. The pipsqueak was going to follow him to his room but AFO grabbed her and she freaked out .

Something about needing to focus on the mission , i don't know of any mission. Boss told us to lay low for a while. Echo started crying, it was hard to listen if i'm being honest. Boss did not do anything, AFO told Boss to go do whatever he was going to do and he just left.

I can kind of hear AFO talking to Echo but its hard to hear over her sobbing. The hideout has never been this loud before.

Well imma go outside for a cigarette i guess , it's quiet outside. Till next time, Lizard🔥

Echo calmed down a half hour later when AFO finally let her go. I heard a door open and then slam shut it sounded like Boss’s door so Echo must have gone in there.

I got Dabis damn ramen he loves so much, my favorite snacks along with Mr Compress’s sushi and Boss’s foods he likes. I ended up getting cereal for Echo, i got the one with the bird on it. I never thought the hardest decision of my life would be between a bird and a caveman on a box of cereal.

AFO asked me if i liked going to get food and i was a little shocked he even talked to me. I was not sure how to answer him but i don't think he cared for my answer anyway because he said he was going out.

The hideout was calmer once he left, Dabi came back as well to scope out the food, he smelled like a pack of smokes. I like Dabi, hes easy to talk to , well for me he is.

Mr Compress came back around 6. I'm relieved he's okay. Boss emerged from his room finally to greet him, with Echo behind him peeking over his leg at Mr Compress. The look he had was priceless to everyone.

The first thing he asked was if Boss had a secret love child. Boss chuckled and Echo hid behind his leg while Boss explained the situation to his friend.

Dabi made ramen at some point at the bar, Boss and Mr Compress moved to the couches to talk , Echo right next to him. He explained AFO would be around a lot and Echos quirk, he called it Morph.

All we really know is Echo can turn into a tiger whenever she wants. Its an interesting quirk to say the least.

Mr Compress tried to make light of the conversation by showing Echo a card trick . She looked like she enjoyed it, Mr Compress always gave me the impression he was good with kids.

Echo was dozing off on Boss’s arm while he played his switch. She's so cute to me, it looked like she had never seen a Switch before too, her eyes were huge with interest, Boss even explained the game to her. Its nice seeing him so calm.

Mr Compress told me about the scene outside and I told him my food adventure. Mr Compress told me The Pro Heroes are in hiding, even Endeavour. The rank system for Heroes is no more, UA is locked down for who knows how long and Villains are running around free. My experience was about the same. No Pros, no Quirkless, only villains. Oh well, free food.

What am I going to do with you two idiots?

AFO took Echo away to talk to her I guess. I felt weird watching her cry. Why did i feel weird? AFO is great. I don't understand.

I could not focus on my game with her crying so i just stared at the screen listening. She follows me around constantly for whatever reason , even grabs onto my shirt like a lost puppy. I don't understand.

She's still crying and I want to go comfort her. What's wrong with me? I should be thinking about ruling the world. Its mine now. But all i can focus on right now is telling Echo everything will be okay. I don't understand.

The crying stopped and I heard my door open and slam shut. Echo ran over to me and before I could say anything she climbed onto my lap sobbing. My arm was around her before I even realized I did it. I don't understand.

She told me AFO was scary and she did not want to do jobs for him or train. It was confusing because AFO is not scary, hes great. I tried to tell her this and she shook her head disagreeing. I don't understand.

Mr Compress is back and Spinner got food. Of course Dabi is eating his ramen.

I was amused over Mr Compress’s little joke. Haha. Hes lucky hes a vital member of this League. It was good to catch up on how things were outside and with him. From what he said everything was up for grabs and those dirty Pros were all gone or hiding.

I wonder when AFO is coming back, Echo really likes my switch. Her eyes follow everything that moves like a cat. Her quirk is an interesting one that's for sure. Im curious if her tiger will get bigger as she grows.

Echo fell asleep on my arm so i brought her to my room to put her to sleep. She woke up though once i set her down on my bed asking me to stay and tell her a story. Do I look like I know a kids bedtime story?

I thought of something of course, after a minute of thinking. She looked like she enjoyed it. I decided to stay till she actually fell asleep. Only one up right now was Dabi anyway.

Echo called me father. I dont understand.

Hawks/Todoroki/Kirishima/Dabi with a terminally ill s/o that is constantly in and out of hospital and needs constant supervision incase their health deteriorates quickly. (Lmao I'm back and with angst)

I don’t know if this is good or not lol.

Hawks’ s/o isn’t really terminally Ill, but they are extremely sick and I couldn’t fit in Dabi.

Hawks

🦃He met them after a pretty brutal fight with a villain. He was forced to stay in the hospital for his own safety for around a week before he was allowed to go back to working.

🦃They just so happened to have the hospital room next to his, and visited him after they learned he would be there for a bit, always willing to help out a new patient.

🦃They showed him around and were his only real company through his entire time there.

🦃He quickly learned that they were commonly in the hospital, due to their illness. He couldn’t help, but feel drawn to them and their optimistic outlook and kindness despite everything.

🦃So even after he was released he kept visiting them, bringing them little trinkets and things that reminded him of them.

🦃He was always supportive of them and became a sort of rock when they needed it. Their family loved him as well, such a handsome man showering their beloved family member with so much attention was very appreciated among all the family members.

🦃Eventually, and inevitably, Hawks found himself falling in love with them; from the way their eyes lit up when he visited, to the way they opened up to him about almost everything.

🦃This started to show through his actions, helping to pay for their hospital bills and medication, visiting them more often, he even started buying way more expensive gifts for them.

🦃They noticed this, of course they noticed his sudden change in attitude from friendly to loving. They were quick to point it out to him, and he was quick to confess. Hawks never was one to hold back when his emotions were this strong for an individual.

🦃So the relationship begun, and it was a good one too.

🦃Hawks constantly was on them about taking medication, eating right, watching what they were doing. It was extremely adorable.

🦃He checked up on them as the day went on, sending members of his agency to check up on them at times even.

🦃When they were having a particularly bad day, unable to leave their hospital room or even bed, those were the days he was truly a mess.

🦃He constantly called them asking how they were doing, he would stay the night in their room. His wings were ruffled and his body would always be tense, but he would relax at the calming sound of their voice.

🦃He didn’t really let them do much on their own at all, always making sure they barely lifted a finger despite their protests. They drew the line when he tried to feed them, they weren’t a baby Hawks.

🦃Really he’s just worried.

🦃God, he’s such a mother hen.

Kirishima

🍒They were Kirishimas childhood friend, and they were healthy at one point. When they were younger they were always by Kirishima’s side, rough housing with him and just being a kid. They grew up side by side, right until the start of high school, when their health took a turn for the worse.

🍒Kirishima had no idea that they had been put into a hospital, too occupied with UA to be able to talk to them. The only contact the two had was through text, and they didn’t want to be a burden on Kirishima. It never really came up because of that.

🍒They had been in the hospital for a few months before Kirishima was even told what had happened to them. Then he got to see them, and the sight of them broke his heart.

🍒His once extremely strong and confident friend was laying in a hospital bed, weak and broken and obviously scared. He didn’t say anything at first, just sitting silently with them for a bit as the situation sunk in.

🍒”I should’ve told you.” They broke the silence, voice shaky and filled with regret. And Kirishima just hugged them, that’s all he needed to do to tell them how he felt. Yet he felt almost obligated to let out a long awaited,

“I love you, and I’m just glad I know now.”

🍒”You’re so cheesy Ei.”

“I’m not cheesy! I’m manly!”

🍒The boy is extremely protective of them, but not to the point where he is overbearing. He just was always checking in on them every time he could, helping where he could and being a constant rock to lean on for them.

🍒He buys them little things to decorate their hospital room and is just a little ball of sunshine to cheer them up.

🍒And then there was the devastating news that they only had 2 years to live. Kirishima learned in the middle of class, and was permitted to leave, all the way to the hospital his heart was beating so hard.

🍒Was he crying, when did he start crying? Well that. Didn’t matter, not when he saw them. They were surrounded by family curled in on themselves sobbing. Kirishima quickly ran up to them and wrapped them up in a reassuring hug, and their family left leaving only the two.

🍒They stayed hugging for a while, taking in each other presence and comfort. Kirishima took a breath, “I’ll be with you… I’ll be with you no matter what happens.”

A pause, then “So will I.”

🍒Kirishima was by their side, still being the light of their life, still being their strong rock.

🍒They lived long enough to see him graduate from UA, surprising everyone, including the doctors. They were able to come to his graduation, able to celebrate with him and meet his amazing friends in person, before the inevitable happened.

🍒Only a week after officially becoming FatGums sidekick, Kirishima was rushing himself to the hospital to say goodbye.

🍒He was able to make it to hear their last words, soft and shaky and forced out, but still there to reassure him “Don’t worry Eijirou, I’ll be with you.”

🍒Those last words, those last breaths given to him, they stuck with him for the rest of his life. They kept him moving forward, despite the pain that was held behind them.

🍒He was never able to find another lover, but he was able to move on from the moment and become stronger from the experience. He though of them everyday, and they were what kept him moving on.

Todoroki

❄️🔥He met them through his mom. They were sitting with her and chatting when he came to visit one day. His mother introduced the two of them and they hit it off— well, as well as Todoroki could “hit it off” with someone.

❄️🔥Turns out that they were with Todoroki’s mom when they weren’t bound to the hospital bed, so Todoroki saw a lot more of them, and wound up becoming close to them.

❄️🔥He appreciated the company they gave his mother, and their optimistic attitude. Turns out their illness took a heavy hit on their mental wellbeing, but they kept on moving and kept on making everyone else around them happy.

❄️🔥Todoroki felt himself falling for them more and more every time he was able to see them. Their caring personality, their ability to make him want to smile when they talked.

❄️🔥His mother was quick to notice, and called him out on it. He was flustered, but didn’t deny his mothers accusations, so she made it her own personal mission to get the two together.

❄️🔥She somehow managed to get the two to spend time alone, a lot of time alone. Todoroki found himself wanting to be alone with them and not only visiting his mom, but visiting them as well. Then they just asked him out, well to have lunch in their hospital room, but thats a technicality.

❄️🔥He found himself stressing abut what he looked like whenever he went to visit.

❄️🔥He’s so whipped for them, does anything hey ask, buys them literally anything they want or he thinks suits them. He loves to just cuddle them in their hospital bed and talk about whatever comes to their minds.

❄️🔥He gives them their freedom to do as they please, but he was like a helicopter parent. He watches everything they do carefully, making sure they don’t strain themselves or anything of the sorts.

❄️🔥Then the two of them learned their illness had developed into something deadly, and that they were only expected to live around two years more. The news was devastating to him, but he had to stay strong for them, though he did break down when he was alone.

❄️🔥Todoroki made sure the last few years they had together would be filled in with nothing but good memories. He was able to take them out, actually out, on a few dates. He was able to be around them more often than he thought he would be originally.

❄️🔥He was able to attend UA and they were able to watch him grow stronger and be more open with his emotions. Things were okay, even though they were growing weaker by the day.

❄️🔥Shouto was there when everything took a turn for the worst, and he was rushed out by the doctors. He was told to sit outside their room and wait, his mother joined him at some point. She rested a hand on his shoulder, she was trying to console him.

❄️🔥Then the doctors came out, and they were visibly upset. Todoroki knew that was nothing good, and then he was told they had already passed on despite the doctors best efforts to help them.

❄️🔥He almost couldn’t bear to enter the room, he didn’t want to see the blanket draped over their body. He didn’t want to see the machines that kept them alive turned off, but he had to say his last goodbyes.

❄️🔥He didn’t know when he started crying, most likely when he entered the room. He gently lifted the blanket covering them to reveal their pale lifeless face, still somehow holding the ghost of a smile.

❄️🔥He stood silent for a bit, looking down at them with an unreadable expression for a moment before breaking down into tears again. He held them close as he could before he was told they needed to be taken away. He placed a final kiss on their lips before they were carted away from him.

❄️🔥The funeral was difficult for him, but he got through it. He gave a simple speech about how much he loved them, how they changed his life for the better. Nothing extremely personal, no he left that in their casket.

❄️🔥He never really was able to move on from them or that final moment he saw them lying limp.

❄️🔥He keeps a picture of them with him everywhere he goes, and he looks at it whenever he has a tough day. He always thinks of their smile and it keeps him moving on day by day.

I am sick, bored and have things I should be doing, so its the perfect time to run away from that very fast by making an “analysis” about Hawks. I’m gonna use that term very loosely because this is basically just gonna be a quick rundown of scenes in which Hawks showed typical signs of dependent personality disorder. There are a few. I could only find the ones which I know from myself and this is speculation still since we don’t really know what is going on in his mind. Also, he is simply a great actor who goes to great lenghts to maintain a cocky, confident facade. Another note: These is simply my own interpretation of things. In no way I want to imply that you have to agree with me or anything

Well, lets get started

Chapter 185, right after the Billboard Charts show thing. Endeavor is mad at Hawks for trolling. Endeavor is basically mad at everyone all the time. For someone who was so cocky and confident just a few minutes ago, Hawks is awfully fast in trying to make peace again between the two. Would he seriously be confident he probably would stand his ground and not start apologizing and explaining in great detail why he did what he did. A confident person would assume the other would ‘get it’ over time. But with DPD you can’t have a single enemy. You just can’t. You need to be at least on neutral terms with everyone, even if it means agreeing that the sky is orange and wheat is spicy.  All that flattering he does can be seen in many different ways. One of them is trying make peace again quickly. Most people like compliments, right? It then borders slightly on self-degradation. Endeavor does not like this. Whelp

In general: He talks A Lot. Yeah this can be simply his personality, but in some cases its a sign of anxiety and some very anxious people don’t seem to be able to shut up for a second when afraid. Just as a side note

This can either be seen as Hawks being himself, him being lazy or... Him blowing smoke up Endeavors arse again in an attempt to keep him from staying angry at Hawks. Because again, a simple disagreement is the end of the world with someone with serious DPD. Someone disagrees with you? Must be because you are a failure. Someone’s mad at you? Even if this person was angry at the entire world, it is your fault alone and also you will be alone forever.

The next one is just a very loose thing that I see as a parallel for DPD in general. Its no piece of “evidence” since the situation could not have been resolved in any other way except a tragedy. It’s when Hawks gives up most of his feathers to help Endeavor attack High End. People with DPD tend to give themselves up for other people. While we certainly do have a core personality this is easily discarded as soon as a person we want to keep is around. Its self-destructive. It will be shown in its literal way soon after.

On another note, him trying to keep the peace with everyone and appease others is a great advantage when it comes to talking to Dabi. He knows how to make others believe that youre completely behind them. Because in that moment he absolutely is. Thats the highest priority. Not have people be mad at you. And in this case.. Dabi getting angry at Hawks could cost him his life.

The last thing is

I don’t think I need to say anything further but I absolutely will. Let’s just take a minute and take this in completely and die inside a lot. Okay. DPD doesn’t come out of nowhere. No personality disorder comes out of nowhere. There is a genetic disposition yeah, but the biggest part is your childhood.

Not pictured here: A happy childhood. Its implied that even before, his childhood maybe wasn’t the most optimal. And then people come and take away your future and your freedom and you can’t say no. You are just a child. You have to help your parents. Doing this is the only thing thats left. Should he have been abused in any way before he was taken in by the higher ups then he already knew how to be submissive. If they were good parents, he then learned it from the higher ups.

So he’s groomed to be a hero wether he wants or not and he cannot say no. He has to work as a hero and he cannot say no. He takes on mission he can’t say no to. Hawks probably never was given the chance to make his own decision. His No was never heard. To not break completely he started showing thinking patterns to make this easier to live with. - Accept that you cannot make decisions. - The decisions others make for you are always correct - Others have authority. You have none. - This means others have authority over you too. What they say is best for you. - You need others to make decisions for you. If you loose them you are on your own. - If you are alone it means you will be alone forever - You are helpless. You need others. - You need to keep them in your life at all cost even if it means betraying yourself

Most of these things are processes we cannot see because they are subconscious. Hawks himself probably doesnt even know what he’s doing there. A personality disorder means that all the destructive stuff you do seem to you as if thats simply your personality. Because in some way it is. The “ill” patterns are interwoven with the “healthy” patterns but the whole thing looks like a woven basket to you. A whole thing. until you notice that some of the branches are rotten and need to be replaced. Thats therapy then. So again, Hawks probably isn’t aware of what hes doing. He might know that something in his life is going horribly wrong but he doesnt know what it is.

Last thing: He doesnt show submissive patterns towards Tokoyami. Thats because ofc, Tokoyami has no authority over Hawks. BUT Hawks also doesn’t show authority over Tokoyami. Not in the way he should be doing it as an employer. Him acting like an older brother towards Tokoyami is endearing but he probably simply cannot do it in any other way. Hawks could not lead anyone or anything even if he wanted (He probably wont want to. The mere thought would probably give him great anxiety since he believes he has no right to have authority and he cant even make decisions alone) We don’t even know if he build his agency all by himself and leads it alone or if the higher ups simply ordered him to and pull the strings in the background, making everyone simply believe Hawks is doing it alone.

Tl,dr:

- Hawks is shown being submissive in several scenes and giving in way too easily - Hawks seems to try to keep peace with everyone - Hawks was raised to obey orders, even at the cost of his well-being and not to be autonomous - Hawks accepts orders without questioning - Hawks never shows authority not even towards Tokoyami who is “below” him in social rank.

The beautiful and sweet @kabukii showed me a Hero Academia themed list of asks and I decided to just go ahead and answer all of them! Why? Because it looks like fun! So here we go!

1: What Quirk would you want(your own or existing in BNHA), and why? So, I ended up giving myself a pretty basic quirk and its really nothing special but I still like it enough not to change it. Essentially, its a dragon quirk. With a mostly human appearance, the only outward clues to my ability manifest in the form of a pair of horns on my head, a set of bat-like wings protruding from my shoulder blades, and a scaly tail jutting out of my backside. Of course I can fly, which is my greatest advantage, but I can also breathe fire on occasion. However, this is highly dependent on not only the strength of my lungs but also how much air they can hold because you need oxygen to set off the chemical reaction that actually produces the fire. So all in all, thats more of a last ditch effort if I find myself backed into a corner. I’m a little more sturdy than the average human but by no means do I have super strength. I can just handle a punch better than some. The truth is that, physically, I’m actually pretty weak. As a dragon hybrid, I’m at least somewhat resistant to flames which means I can safely run my hands through Endeavor’s beard but on the flip side, too much exposure to high temperatures trigger my heat cycle so all in all, its very much a double edged sword. I tried my best to balance this quirk so it didn’t seem overpowered but I also didn’t want to have something useless and this is what I came up with! 

2: Best quirk? Hm, this is a hard one because there are so many choices to pick from! Honestly I think I might have to go with Momo’s creation quirk. It would definitely be a pain having to learn how to make the more complicated stuff (like the transmitter she came up with on the fly?) but if you successfully create something once, it should be easy as pie to do it again! Even putting aside the more illegal options you could go with, such as laundering fake money, I just think it would be really convenient to make like, accessories and stuff. You see a super cute hairbow online but you have no cash to buy it with? Just make it yourself! That stuffed animal you’ve always wanted but could never afford? Make that bitch yourself! Plus, converting energy into matter sounds like a really great excuse to eat like a pig and never gain any weight! 

3: Worst quirk? Another toughie! Eeh, I’ll probably have to go with Aoyama’s navel laser. Even putting aside the fact its an unwieldy quirk that seems to cause more damage to the user than any of his enemies, it doesn’t really make a lot of sense to me. Is the energy for the laser stored inside the bellybutton itself or is it like an umbilical cord and the energy is actually produced within the stomach and merely expelled through the navel? What exactly is the laser comprised of? Is it sparkling stomach acid? Is that why it makes him ill when he uses it too much? I just have a lot of questions about the mechanics of this one but I think what it boils down to is simply being silly and, from my point of view, pretty much useless as an actual offensive ability. 

4:  BNHA harem? 5-10 people. *distant cackling* I was born to answer this question.

5:  Fave gay ship(s)? To be perfectly honest, I don’t really have any gay ships for this show. I just haven’t seen any canon interactions that made me go ‘oh yeah, they want to gently hold hands in the park at night’. : /

6: Fave lesbian ship(s)? Same as above. Sorry to disappoint. 

7:  Fave straight ship(s)? I support both Bakugou x Toga and Bakugou x Cammie. But Bakugou x me is OTP.  Also Dabi x Toga seems pretty solid but I haven’t seen much of that.

8:  Fave OT3? Okay, I’m really not well equipped to answer these shipping questions because I’m not much of a shipper outside of selfships sooooo yolo.

9:  Most underrated ship? I’m gonna’ go ahead and say that the Dabi x Toga pairing is criminally underrated since it almost seems to be nonexistent despite the fact they’d make a great maniacs-in-love type couple. Very Joker and Harley Quinn-esque. 

10:  Most overrated ship? I definitely think Bakugou x Deku and Shoto x Deku are overrated af. I can’t say which is worse since I don’t spend a lot of time looking at shipping content but I see enough of these two to know the fandom is over saturated with both. 

11: Most cancerous ship/ shipping fandom? Again, I don’t hang out in this side of the fandom much so I don’t really have an opinion thats actually relevant to the question, but I know for a fact that the anti-shippers are by far the most cancerous of all.

Okay so Hawks in his apartment after a long ass day at work and just putting on some not so innocent song or as I like to call it kinky songs. (Kinky music hours)

Anyways he watches for a bit cause he is enjoying the show, even if Hawks has no clue hes putting on a show, before he decides is time go inside. He scares Hawks which Dabi finds funny but then he goes: "Keep dancing I like watching you"

And so Hawks does. Eventually Dabi joins in. Honestly Dabi just wanted to grind again Hawks and hear the small little moans from Hawks as he tried to hide the fact he was enjoying feeling Dabis hard on grind again him. Anyways it ends in sex and thats that.

You fell asleep in Dabis arms after the fighting. Leaving him awake to be angry at himself . He lit a cigarette puffing with a grunt . Dammit. He thought he got rid of the damn add the night before bringing you home . Maybe youll feel better at the League. Atleast he hoped you would. He placed his cigarette in the ash tray and was about to fall asleep when his phone went off.

“God dammit.” He felt around the bed throwing a pillow to find his phone.

‘so you got to her before me?’

Dabi turned his phone off dropping it on the bed . He rolled over with you in his arms squeezing tight

In the morning you woke up to Dabi poking your forehead. You squinted at him and rubbed your right eye groaning lightly. You saw Dabi smiling at you, moving the hair from your face lightly . Okay you admit it.. it was nice waking up to Dabi... even if he smelled like cigarettes . His smile had some kind of hold on you , you loved it . Even if he was a villain , he treated you better than anyone ever did.

“When are we leaving.. are you sure i can.. go.”

“Yes puppy, and when you get that cute butt up we are -oof.” You crawled ontop of him squeezing tight.

Dabi ran his fingers down your back talking low. “Aww.. is my puppy still upset?”

“Maybe.”

Dabi sat up with you on his lap cupping your cheek. “No need to be upset. I promise”

You leaned into his warm palm staring into his blue eyes. His smirk pissed you off to no end. So sure of himself. So confident in everything he did. Before you had been baught by him you always heard the news talking about him, his quirk, how mysterious he was and how dangerous he could be. Dabi cooed at you rubbing the edge of his nose against yours breaking you out of your trance.

“What cha thinkin bout?”

“Nothing.”

“Mmmmhm. “

“Can we just go.”

“I told you puppy. Once you get that cute butt up.”

You wiggled out of his grip getting up giving him your back, arms folded. Dabi smiled laying his head on your butt sighing. “Mmm. Maybe 20 more minutes.” He poked at it. You rolled your eyes groaning , a smile on your face.

You had to hold onto Dabis arm on the walk to the hideout so no passing villains would grab you and take you away from him. Every step made you anxious about the League. Would they like you? What did they see you as ?

Dabi stopped at the door of the hideout to wrap his arms around your waist and kiss your neck. You tilted your head for him feeling a smile creep up against your neck .

His kisses were tingly, sending a nice warmth from your neck down to your chest. His fingers traveled up to the hem of your pants dipping under lightly. Dabi nibbled at your ear while lightly scratching just above your panties . “Oh puppy...”. He scratched lower hitting you panties making you gasp and wiggle out of his grasp hitting the door.

“ aww... puppy.”

You shot him a look feelimg around for the doorknob twisting it and going in. Dabi rolled his eyes following you walking infront of you to open the second door. It was not what you expected.

Kurogiri looked up from behind the couch, he seemed to be watching Shigaraki play on his switch. Toga looked up squealing. She jumped over the bar going straight to you pulling you in. Dabi rolled his eyes closing the doors. “Hey hey im here. “ he said slowly, making his way to his Leader.

“Did you get my text?” Shigaraki asked not looking up from his switch.

The talking fadded from your ears as Toga dragged you to her room sitting on the floor with you. You glanced all around her room seeing lots of knives and blood viles, a bed with a pretty blanket a dresser and a mirror.

“Hi!! Im toga!!”

“Uh.. pup-y/n. My name is y/n . Your hair is really pretty.”

Toga got red in the face hugging you tightly. “Eee thank you so is yours!! Wanna do each others hair?!?”

You leaned into her chuckling . “ sure, ive never had a girls day before.”

Toga pulled you up bringing you to her bedand grabbing some hair stuff wiggling behind you. For a villain she was not so bad. A very happy girl she seemed. She asked what it was like to live with Dabi and if he was nice to you. You shrugged while Toga braided your hair .

“Yeah. Id say so. He got me girly body wash so ..”

“Aww!!! He was so excited to bring you home!”

“He..? He was?” You looked back.

“Yep!! I think hes lonely. Me now!” She wiggled to your front sitting on your lap.

You undid her hair buns and began to work on her hair. Dabi was... lonely?

“No my phones off.” Dabi said sitting down with a groan and pulling a pack of smokes from his pocket.

“Well can you read it?” Shigaraki asked looking up.

Dabi lit a cigarett with his thumb . “Cant you tell me? Im here.”

“I dont feel like it”

Dabi rolled his eyes biting into his smoke to reach into his back pocket fetching his phone.

“Dabi?”

“Yes Giri?” The phone flashed on

“How have you been since you took that girl in”

“Better. “He glanced down reading the text. “Its just information on a job mop head.”

“Dont lose it.” Shogaraki spat out looking back down at his switch.

Dabi rolled his eyes seeing a +1 on the mail screen. He tapped it and bit down hard on the cigarett.

‘Lets talk. Maybe i can buy her from you. Ill be at the usual place.’

Dabi got up shoving his phone in his pocket. “Ill be back. Keep an eye on my puppy for me.”

“Do i have to take her for walks?” Shigaraki mocked

“Nope. Thats my job. “ he left without saying goodbye to you, a angry look on his face.

Dabi did not want to see this guy. He was bad news, but no one knew that side of him. Everyone saw him as a Hero. He hid it well. But Dabi knew, he knew of the things he had done. He was actually the one who showed Dabi the add on you. After hearing what he wanted to do to you, unspeakable things. He had to get to you first. He had seen what this Hero had done to helpless girls, where he kept them. He couldint let that happen again.

Dabi slipped into a old run down building , no furture, just chains hooked to the walls in rows of three. The walls were cracked and stained with blood giving off a unsettling mood. He made his way down the hallway following the feathers to see a lazy boy arm chair and big red wings facing a window. He could hear crying but it was quickly silenced with a feather. A groan came from the body getting up out of the chair. He turned to face Dabi , spreading his wings.

“Hey Dabi, glad you could make it. Excuse the .. mess” he gestured to the girl on the floor.

Dabi stepped back trying not to look. “What do you want Hawks.”

“Oh im sure you know.. lets talk business”

Chapter Two

Dabi was still on the bed with you holding youre hands . He was over joyed right now, the smile on his face went all the way up his cheeks it seemed like. He pulled you in for a kiss and snuggled you laying down . He told you all about how he had been keeping an eye on you. From the entrance exam.. all the way up to third year.

Shoto had gotten to meet the new students who passed the entrance exam and was asked to give a lecture on being a Hero. When he saw you , he knew he had to have you. He told his brother all about you. The two devised a plan to take you but . Shoto had other plans. So Dabi stayed in the shadows , continuing to watch.

“Oh Y/N.. watching you grow into this wonderful.. beautiful woman i... it just makes me so happy” he snuggled you petting youre head.

He explained how he watched you even on the training camp trip. The way you defended yourself , the use of youre quirk. It was all amazing to him. He pointed to a couple pictures on the wall and tipped youre chin up to them.

“See that one Y/N? Its when you went to the hot springs. I feel a little dirty for peeping but it does not matter! Right? Youre just for me anyway.”

You nuzzled into his chin smiling and Dabi held you closer petting youre head more.

“I dont mind Dabi. You care so much for me. You can do whatever you want.” You said . “Youre the only one who believes me about Shoto. You were watching because you knew Shoto would treat me bad right?”

“Yes! Yes Y/N! See? You get it!!!” He sat up pulling you with him , he gently put his hand over youre bandage. “I promise ill heal this for you Y/N.”

“Youll give me a better one right?!” You asked him pulling on his shirt .

“Of course !! I would love to do that for you Y/N! Ill go get some more supplies for the mark okay? Ill be back soon!” Dabi got up and you whimpered , he turned and pet youre head before leaving. You sat criss cross hugging the pillow, waiting for him to return.

Dabi lit a cigarette and made his way down the street . He had you right where he wanted you. Shoto did the dirty work making it easy for him to make you fall in love with him. Soon enough , you would be carrying his child ... to keep the Todoroki line going with strong offspring... A smirk creeped up his cheek at the thought. Yes.. thats what he wanted. You were perfect for it. Shoto’s ridiculous ice box idea actually worked. You could handle severe cold and change the shape of youre ice cubes now. Just the thought of his quirk mixing with yours was enough to make Dabi giddy with excitement. He put his cigarette out flicking it elsewhere .

Dabi found a pharmacy and went inside stalking the aisles for what he needed. Not many people were in the place thankfully.

Aizawa walked into the pharmacy looking very tired and sad. He had not had a chance to come see you. And everytime he tried to call the hospital said you were to unstable for visitors. When he heard about the hospital he had rushed over only to find out you were missing again.

Dabi fished through some shelves finding the medicine he needed, he also picked up some sleeping pills. He turned a little too fast and bumped into Aizawa. Dabi cursed kneeling down to grab the items but Aizawa was faster. He stood up looking at the items. A weird combination, and the pills were the heavy dose kind.

“You dropped these. Sorry for bumping you” he said calmly.

Dabi swiped the items fumbling the pills . “Thanks” he pushed past Aizawa and went down the food aisle. Aizawa looked to his left at the shelf Dabi was fishing through.

“Severe burns.. inflamation.. it cant be..” he looked up again but Dabi was gone.

Dabi pushed the pharmacy door open , he was holding a bag with the items in it a long with some food. “Dammit. That was close.” Dabi made his way back to his home looking all around him . He felt like he was being followed now. He was paranoid. Theres no way that Pro Hero knew. He could not have put it together. If anything he would think the burn medicine was for him, and the sleeping pills.. well. Those were for you
