Every time the batkids get into legal trouble (damaged property fighting a villain, entitled old ladies being mad they didn’t get saved first, Damian sueing a classmate for proprietary rights over an OC he drew in class, the ONLY person they want to be represented by is Harvey.
Sure, TEHNICALLY he can’t practice anymore, but this is Gotham, and the law system is made of tangled wires. If you pull the right one, you’re in the clear.
The hardest plaintiff is Jason, by far. Ironically enough, he has the simplest cases.
“Okay, so, HOLD ON— I have to TELL you to get out of the way when Bane throws an ENTIRE truck your way? If you can’t dodge death, it deserves to have you, period.”
“Lady, I’m not going to save your weird ass dog/frog hybrid science experiment , — who BIT me, by the way, — over an entire bank full of PEOPLE.”
“Oh im sorry I forgot to pay for the overpriced 12 dollar latte while RUNNING FROM WILD MANEATING PLANTS. “
Harvey, pouring a violent amount of vodka in his coffee: your honor, my client just needs a nap probably
I think Jason should have had even more interactions with Two-Face.
I mean, the first time he meets Two-Face, he lets himself be kidnapped by him and says this about his car:
”It's too much!”
Then he just stares and smiles at him, before slamming the brakes and fleeing.
Two-Face thinking he's hot shit for kidnapping Robin in his Two-Door, not keeping in mind that this kid is bat-trained.
And then Jason finds out that this motherfucker killed his dad. And Jason is all about revenging your dead loved ones.
So this happens:
”I'll kill you... kill you--”
Batman pulls him away, reprimands him at the cave, asking him about what that was about. Then Jason finally yells at him, asking him why he kept the information that Two-Face killed his dad from him. Bruce apologises, says he should have told him, bla bla.
Jason should have kept going after that.
Yes, Bruce obviously wouldn't support him actually killing Two-Face. But he can still make Two-Face's life a living hell.
He sends fan letters to newspapers, openly mocking Two-Face. And of course tries to take down as much options with the number two possible. He convinces Bruce to make new positions at WE, most of them being taken by twins. Giving the workers at the second oldest bank of Gotham a day off on 2nd February.
Leaving kindly decorated coins in places he was 100% sure where Two-Face could find them
All while Two-Face assumes Robin is just the most pettiest kid, until Jason is like "You killed my pops!"
Jekyll and Hyde is my biggest non-Batman inspiration, especially since I'm not taking the DID/system route. When it comes down to it, Jekyll and Hyde are the same man, and Jekyll created that monster
Two Face from BTAS was going to be on here, of course. I watched the cartoon a lot and he was always my favorite. The emotional draw between Bruce and Harvey was part of it too,
The Lego Batman Movie Two Face may not have been shown very much on screen, but clearly the hot pink and magenta stuck with me. The visually striking aspect means a lot to me.
Extra Information
Along with his lucky silver dollar, Harvey carries his ring around (it melted slightly to his finger, but the doctors were able to remove it without too much damage)
he carries a glock 19, and is fully trained in using it
The picture of Gilda is from their honeymoon, and he takes it with him everywhere. He looks at it often and thinks about returning home, but can never go through with that decision
Shout out to all five General Lunaris fans. It must be really hard to be a fan of a character who has so little potential for depth in the actual canon story. Like, I genuinely believe that some of the one episode villains have more potential than Lunaris. The writing really gave him the bare minimum in terms of depth, even the reason as to why he never invaded earth in the first place felt barely thought out. It's no secret that DuckTales 2017 never really cared enough for his villains, and while Magica De Spell gets a pass mostly for the revamp on the original material, and Bradford gets a pass for having insane potential that was never fully realized, and Glomgold gets a pass because he feels like the only villain the show really cared about, Lunaris is just stuck in being mediocre in every conceivable way that he just becomes forgettable, my best rewrite head canon for him was giving him a dual personality and Two Face style coin to signify the switch.
I salute you General Lunaris fans, God only knows how you manage to prosper.
