LOVE CHANGES
A/N: This is like the continuation of my previous post Love and So... There's this girl. But it can be read without reading them too. Though I'd like you to check it out and tell me how I do.
Pairing: Lee Minho x reader
Genre: Fluff, crack
Warning: Reader is a well known fashion designer, Han being extremely dramatic,
Synopsis: Its been 6 months since you and Minho dated which means 6 months since Minho has been acting 'suspicious'
It has been too long. Too long since Minho started acting really, really suspicious.
Han occasionally peeked at Minho who sat across from him at the dance studio, smiling at his phone.
Why is he smiling?
Minho had been acting so, so, so weird lately. And Jisung had noticed it since the beginning. He was acting really suspicious.
How?
Well, since when did Minho start to randomly smile at his phone while texting? Since when did he start to wear bracelets? That too, that had a sparkly sun in it. It looked like something he would wear but when Han asked if he could burrow it, he was met with a stern glare and a cold 'no'.
Minho's been too excited to go home these days too. Like, he had something better to do than just lay on his bed and dream about his cats. Whenever the gang decides to eat a takeout and just go home together, Minho would deny and say he had to go home now.
Go home to do what?!
Now, Jisung watched as Minho once again smiled at his phone then started typing. He stood up from his seat and strided towards Minho.
"Who are you texting?" Minho immediately pulled the phone on his chest, like hiding it from him.
"No one. " He answered, the smile he saw just now long gone and he had this serious poker resting bitch face.
"You were smiling." Han stated, eying him suspiciously. Minho raised his brow at his friend's odd behaviour.
"I was?"
"Yes, you were. "
A silence followed after with both party in different reason. Han looked at Minho like he was a puzzle he was trying to solve and Minho looked at Han like he just lost his marbles.
"What's up with you?" Minho asked, trying to fake a laugh to lighten the awkward situation.
Jisung scoffed," What's wrong with me? No. What's wrong with you? "
His tone raised and attracted the attention of the other hyung line present in the room. They gave each other a knowing look and continued minding their own business while keeping their ears wide open.
"You're acting weird. " Han told him.
"How?"
"You're smiling randomly at your phone and you never wear bracelets especially the ones with sparkly sun draped around it!" He looked so serious it almost looked like a couple bickering.
"Can I not just smile at my phone and change my interest?" Minho asked back, getting up to meet Han's eyes. He found all these so ridiculous and amusing.
"No," Jisung shook his head ," you can't. Not you. "
"What are you trying to imply by that, hm?"
"That YOU ARE CHEATING ON ME WITH A REALLY PRETTY WOMAN!!" He screamed, sobbing onto the floor.
Minho's eyes widened at the accusations or rather the fact as all his members looked at them. Eyes wide, jaw dropped. Hyunjin let out a dramatic gasp and he could see Seungmin smirk from the corner of his eyes.
"Lee know, you are what?" Hyunjin asked, clenching his heart. Minho rolled his eyes but shot them wide open when even his hyung joined.
"You're cheating on Hannie with a woman?" Bang Chan asked, eyes wide.
"Why are you emphasizing the woman so much?"
"That means you are dating a woman!!" Felix screeched, pointing an accusing finger to Minho.
And before he knew it, all his members had surrounded him, sitting in a circle and asking him numerous questions.
"Who's the girl? Come on, tell us!" Changbin pleaded, taking Minho's arm and squeezing it like a little girl.
"Is she an idol? Is she pretty? Wait, do we know her?" Felix seemed just as excited as a teenage girl.
"You cheater!" Han scoffed, "is she prettier than me?"
"I can't really imagine you dating a girl or doing anything romantic." Jeongin stated, chuckling dryly. Seungmin agreed, scrunching up his nose while looking at Minho.
"Aish! You guys are so annoying!! Why are you so interested in my love life?! "Minho groaned, shaking Felix and Changbin off his arms.
"Then just tell us her name and her Instagram id and we'll ask her on our own. " Hyunjin suggests, rolling his eyes like it was an obvious thing.
Tch, as if.
"No way in hell you're getting anything of her, Hyunjin. " Minho simply stated.
"Why not??!! Come on....... Show us a picture? Is it true? Did she get you this bracelet?" Felix asked, touching the silver metal wrapped around his wrist. Minho extracted his hand quickly like Felix had a disease or something.
"I'd rather not hear it, to be honest." Seungmin muttered, like anyone was stopping him from walking out the wide open door. But he stayed seated, next to Jeongin.
"Okay, okay, guys, I think you should leave him alone." Bang Chan chimes. A few groans left their mouths. Mostly changbin, Felix and Hyunjin.
"Oh, come one. Don't be such a party pooper. Don't you wanna know who got Minho hyung's heart?" Changbin said, making a heart in his fingers and placing it in front of Minho's chest.
"If you just tell me who the girl is, I'll forgive you. " Jisung added. Minho rolled his eyes.
"I actually do want to know, though." Bang Chan agreed. Minho could only groan now as his only saviour gave him an apologetic yet teasing grin. He let out a sigh of defeat and looked around at his members who looked back at him with eagerness.
"Fine. " He groaned, " I am dating a girl. "
A teasing whistle echoed and Minho felt someone nudging his shoulder. Probably Felix. He didn't care to look. They continued to stare at him like curious kittens so he continued.
"Who is it?"
"(y/n). (Y/n) (L/n)." Minho replied simply.
"Wait, you mean the designer (y/n)?" Hyunjin asked, eyes wide. Minho simply nodded,"are you kidding me?! I'm wearing her autumn collection shirt right now!" He shrieks, pulling his shirt to show everyone the white sweatshirt he wore.
"Seriously?! You're dating her?! For how long?" Changbin asked.
"It's been 6 months, I think. " Minho said, calculating in his mind.
"You've been dating for 6 months and never mentioned her to us?!" Jisung asked, too dramatically for Minho's liking.
"I did mention her all the time. Remember the friend I went to dinner with? The park? The museum?" He rolled his eyes, trying to remind Jisung of the hints he dropped.
"You just said it was a friend . You never mentioned the friend's gender. " Jisung said defensively. Minho rolled his eyes for like the 10th time tonight.
"I can't believe (y/n) would date someone like you. " Seungmin commented, earning a glare from Minho.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Nothing. Just that, she's so...... Cheerful and loud, in a good way of course. And you're just gloomy and boring. " Seungmin nonchalantly added like it was a fact everyone knew. Minho gave him a somewhat offensive side eye.
"Yeah. I've seen her interviews, she's really cute and lively. Like a sunshine!" Felix added, which sparked a lightbulb above Jisung's head.
"Sunshine?! Is that why you have a sunshine bracelet?! Is it a couple's one? Oh my god!!" Jisung's exaggeration made a few laughs and a few rolled their eyes," which one does she have?! A star?! A moon?!"
"A moon. " Minho replied.
"Do you have a picture together?" Jeongin asked, ignoring the shocked Jisung beside him.
"I think so. " Minho said, unlocking his phone to search for a picture of both of you.
"Hate to chime in but are we allowed to date right now?" Seungmin cut in. All of them looked at him with a glare that said 'not now'. But he just shrugged.
"The dating ban is actually lifted for us. " Chan started," but the fan's reaction may not be very pleasant. Plus, she has her own fans. I heard they are quite protective."
"Who knows you might end up bald and jobless like the last guy she had dating scandal with" Seungmin added, snickering like it was the funniest joke he had ever heard.
"Shut up now Seungmin," Hyunjin said, nudging him by the shoulder," Hyung, tell us about her more. "
"Is she the reason you started drinking coffee too?" Jisung once again questioned, earning a nod from Minho.
"I think so," Minho recalled," we actually met at a coffee shop. " "So, love at first sight?" Felix asked, making a heart sign. Minho shook his head and looked straight ahead. Lost in thought. "It wasn't exactly love at first sight but something similar. The first time we spoke, I felt it. An ache, like a little electric burn. I felt my life change. " "Fate, huh. 'Cause what the heck were you doing in a coffee shop if you don't drink one?" Changbin questioned.
"I don't know. I just felt like I had to go there. Something was so alluring. " "Cringe. " Jeongin snarked. "You seem happier, though," Seungmin stated, others nodded along with him," In the last 6 months, you really changed. "
"Yeah, I haven't gotten any threats to be put in the air fryer in a while. " Hyunjin remarked, making the others laugh including Minho. "I can do that now if you want, Hyunjin. " "No, I'm good, actually." "Is no one gonna come to the fact that my husband has been cheating on me for the last 6 months?" Jisung interject. "Well, (Y/n) is actually very similar to you, Hannie. She is, in fact, just like you. She stuffs her face with food and she fall asleep anywhere. She sucks at cooking too. " Minho mentioned. "Are you saying she has all my bad qualities?" "Bad? No way, she's literally perfect. Those are cute qualities. You should've seen your faces when you're passes out on the chair." "It's to die for." Changbin added.
"So, you're not leaving me?" Jisung asked, pouting. "As long as we're in the same group, I'll have to be with you even if I don't wan to. " "So I'm still your baby?" "You were never my baby!"
"Stop it, you guys! It's disgusting," Jeongin coughed," But, we'd like to meet (y/n). " "Yeah, call her here! " Felix exclaimed after he was done listening to all of them. "Yeah, I want her autograph!" Hyunjin added earning some side eyes from others ," what? like you don't have all her summer collection too, Seungmin" "What? shut up!" Seungmin blushed having his secret revealed. "I think I'll ask her. " Minho said. "She really did changed you, huh Minho?" Bang Chan giggled, seeing Minho's cheeks turn red. "OOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhh~~~~~," Changbin sang," I see someone is blushing, huh~~~~"
The other members upon hearing that, looked at their Hyung with the same teasing smirk and started to tease him. "Minho hyung seemed a lot happier, right?" Jisung said, watching others tease Minho. "Yeah. I can't wait to meet (y/n). She must be so special. " Bang Chan agreed. "I still didn't agreed to sharing him, though. " "WhAT?"

"Wonhee will be there!" you exclaimed as you tossed your phone away.
Both Hyunjin and Minho looked at you curiously. "Who?" Hyunjin asked.
Minho was quick to hit his arm, causing the man to wince at the touch. "You've met her before, don't act like you don't know who she is."
"I would but I genuinely have no idea."
"Y/N's sister," Chan informed as he joined the three of you with a clipboard in hands. "We saw her at the bar last time we went."
"Right," Hyunjin hummed with a frown.
"Alright," Chan continued. "Hyunjin, we still have the pictures with Lix to take and then your part will be over. Jisung?"
The assistant hurried to his boss and smiled. "Here."
"Could you and Changbin change the background?"
Your best friend let out a grunt. "Again?"
"Do you want me to forgive you or not?" you said with a glare and it was plenty to shut him off and make him join Jisung at the task.
Things were advancing well with the campaign. You had much more positive feedback, even if many still believed you had tried to poison your clientele. Nonetheless, people were loving seeing you and Chan interact in such ways that they would have never thought of seeing ever. Still, he remained very unpleasant towards you, but you weren't any better so it was a fair game.
"Hair and makeup done!" Felix cheered as he walked in the studio, his GoPro pointed towards himself. "Y/N has chosen beautiful colours as you can see," he showed his eye makeup. "And, of course, Chan's new cream was used for my skin."
"Do you ever stop filming?" Jisung rolled his eyes.
"And we have our beloved Jisung who seem to be pretty grumpy this afternoon."
They continued to bicker in the background which made you chuckle as you moved on with sorting products out. You peeked at your checklist to make sure you had everything you needed and began to check the items. It wasn't long after that Chan leaned next to you on the table. With his rolled up sleeves of his black buttoned shirt, he perked an eyebrow as he watched you intensely. You did your best to ignore him but the man was not budging.
"Can't you see I'm busy?" you said between your teeth.
"Busy doing something totally unnecessary. Might I say, Y/N, I am disappointed," he said in a cheeky way.
"I prefer double-checking and being organized, is that so wrong?"
He shrugged. "I just think you're wasting time. Besides, the guys have the makeup on already. What's the point in checking?"
"In case we forgot, we can still put it– Why am I even bothering to explain this to you?" you groaned, dropping the list on the table and walking off.
This might have been the tenth encounter of this sort that you'd had with him today and knowing he was still going to be around until late at night, this was not encouraging in any way. Perhaps backing out and staying at home was a better option.
But having Wonhee as a sister meant she had to force you to come along, especially since you were the one to invite her technically. After you had went back home, washed up and changed, you were walking to the club with your arms linked. Jeongin was the one to change the destination, arguing that it would be more fun than a regular restaurant with alcohol on the side.
"So how many are we going to be exactly?" Wonhee questioned you as you were getting closer to your destination.
Your eyebrows furrowed as you counted in your mind. "Let's see... Well, Bin and Minho obviously so them plus us is four. Jeongin, that makes us five. Chan and his staff, so that's now eight... And with Hyunjin and Felix, that makes us ten," you smiled.
Your sister, however, looked at you doubtfully. "Chan's staff... Does it mean..?"
You chuckled. "Yes, Seungmin will be there."
She stopped on her tracks right away. "You didn't think of telling me that?"
"When I said everyone would be there, I thought it obviously implied Seungmin."
"Y/N, I can't meet him like this!" she shouted while looking down at her outfit.
"You look fine," you rolled your eyes.
Forcefully, you dragged her all the way to the club as she babbled about how ugly she looked — though she was very much adequately dressed for the occasion. As you walked in, it didn't take long for you to spot the tall Hyunjin who was chatting with the one you dreaded to see once again. Chan had, for once, decided to let go of his usual dark attires and wore a tight white shirt with oversized pants. His hair was slicked back and he adorned his ears with silver jewellery. You couldn't deny he looked fine as hell, especially with the lighting that emphasized the veins on his arms. The way he was leaning on the table and taking a few sips of his drink was insanely attractive.
"You're staring," Wonhee commented and you glared at her.
"I spotted Hyunjin, that's all."
She definitely did not believe you and was about to make another remark until her eyes fell upon Seungmin. Instantly, she froze on the spot with a gulp.
"Who's staring now?" you laughed and it was her turn to glare.
"And the Ko sisters have arrived!" Jeongin exclaimed as he came to join you along with Minho, engulfing you two into his embrace. "I managed to reserve a table for everyone."
He led you to where you had previously stared at and didn't let you say a thing before sitting you down next to Chan. You were about to get up and yell at your friend but a hand grabbed your wrist to pull you back down. Again, you were seated and Chan's grasp moved from your wrist to your shoulder.
"What-"
He put a finger on your mouth, shushing you. "There are people around, we're a couple right now."
As you scanned the club, you saw how some people had stopped to greet Hyunjin and Jeongin while others took pictures. Right, you were surrounded with well-known models. You hesitantly snuggled into his embrace before he placed a small peck on the top of your head. It took everything in you to not puke right there and then.
"Get a room," Felix joked as he sat on your other side. "Since when do you kiss her?"
Chan sighed. "It wasn't a kiss. Don't you have more important things to do instead of judging me?"
"I do, you're right. So? Who's paying tonight? I need to get myself something to drink."
Seungmin joined in and took his credit card out. "I don't mind paying this time."
This caused Wonhee's eyes to glow and she rushed to the man. "Seungminnie, could I get something too?"
"Of course," he said with a smirk.
You noticed Minho — who had watched the interaction with much displeasure — rolling his eyes with one hand in his pocket and the other holding his newly bought cocktail. Poor guy.
"Could you please order my drink as well, Felix?" you asked the man as he snatched Seungmin's card out of his hand.
"Yeah, what do you want?"
To this, Chan's eyes darkened at his friend. Before you could give your answer, he spoke for you. "I'll pay for her drink, you may go."
Felix gulped, getting slightly scared of his friend, but nodded before walking to the bar. You scoffed at your fake-lover and removed his arm that laid on your shoulder.
"You really are a pain in the ass," you grunted.
"I should be the one paying for you, don't you think?"
"I can pay for myself."
He scoffed. "You say that now but asked for Felix to get you something with Seungmin's card. You had no issue with that."
"It's Seungmin, not you."
With that, you stood up and headed towards where Minho was as he was the furthest away from the man you despised so much. As he saw you approaching with fuming ears, his eyes widened.
"Woah, don't be mad at me, I did nothing," he hurried to say with his hands up.
"Where's Changbin?"
"No idea, he disappeared when we arrived."
You groaned out of frustration. "Great, it's always when I need him that he disappears."
Minho faked being hurt. "Am I not a good enough? You really prefer Changbin over me?" he cried.
You deadpanned at him. "Shut up, I'm pissed and he's the only one who can calm down. Besides, you're pissed as well, you wouldn't be much help."
"I'm not pissed," he muttered under his breath.
"Yeah, right. Don't tell me seeing my sister all over Seungmin doesn't fill you with anger."
That shut him up real quick and he pouted while sipping on his alcohol. From afar, the two of you looked miserable. You watched people on the dancefloor with a bored stare. It took only a few minutes for Chan to find you again and you couldn’t help but groan again.
“I’m going to find Changbin.”
Minho nodded at your statement as to say “good luck” and you took off. It was hard to walk through the sweaty crowd but, eventually found your best friend discussing with a woman who had definitely drank more than she could handle. He was quick to meet eyes with you and abandon the lady upon seeing how displeased you looked.
“What did I miss?” he asked while you stole his beer, drinking it in one go. “Woah, take it easy!”
“I won’t when this bastard is up in my ass.”
He sighed. “You can’t be saying this here.”
“Why? Because we are in public? Weren’t you the first one to disagree with this?”
“I was but it doesn’t mean I don’t care about how a small thing can ruin you again.”
You scoffed. “I’m only speaking the truth. Now, where can I get a shot?”
Changbin didn’t want to comply to your demands as he knew you would get yourself so drunk to the point you wouldn’t be able to stand. At the same time, you were so stubborn that it was impossible to get in your way sometimes. Felling guilty already, he brought you to the nearest bar and ordered four shots for the two of you. You chugged them not even a second after getting a hold of them. Wincing at the strong liquor, you still ordered one more, and one more after.
“How many has she had?” Jeongin asked in a concerned voice, watching you dance clumsily with Changbin.
“Who?” Chan said as he hadn’t really been observing what was going on.
“Your girlfriend,” Wonhee laughed as she pulled her phone out to capture the moment in a video. “Oh, she’s so going to hate me for this.”
Chan’s head shot up from his nearly empty glass to try and find you. When he did, his eyes widened at the sight. With your rosy cheeks, you were smiling admirably to your best friend who was trying his best to keep you up on your feet. He was glad you were not alone but the way you were holding to one another didn’t look as if you were only friends. It bothered him. Only because of your arrangement, of course. Before he was thinking, his body got up from his seat and he walked towards you. Without saying a thing, he separated you from Changbin and took over with holding you. You were probably too drunk to even process the change of dance partner, but Changbin only removed himself silently. He wouldn’t bother with protesting anyway; Chan’s eyes were enough to make him want to pee himself right there and then.
“How many did you drink?” he said into your ear, and you shivered.
“I don’t know.”
“I think you had too much.”
You pouted at him. “It’s your fault.”
“Mine? You were the one storming off.”
“Because you were annoying,” you cried, which made him sigh.
He dragged you all the way back to the table where the others were drinking reasonably. He sat you next to your sister, but she wasn’t much of a help. If anything, she was only laughing at your physical state and taking pictures. Sighing again, he took it upon himself to get you water to sober up. You already seemed to be a little better.
“They’re selling cakes with sparklers if it’s your birthday!” Felix said enthusiastically while pointing at the corner of the club. “We should get some.”
At this, you pushed the glass of water away from you and clapped. “Oh, for sure!”
Chan mentally cursed at himself before glaring at Felix. “Do you really want to fake a birthday only to get some cheap sparklers?”
You slapped his chest and his eyes widened from the contact. “They’re pretty.”
“So am I and you have me for free.”
Felix and Seungmin held back a laugh while you simply shrugged. “I’m getting some whether you like it or not.”
Before he could stop you, you were off with Felix, Seungmin and Wonhee to get sparklers. Who the fuck were selling these things in a club anyway? It was bound to be a disaster. He wondered if he should at least follow to keep an eye on you but the decision was quickly made when he saw you stumble on your feet, almost falling.
You felt a pair of arms holding you and you frowned. "Why do you have to act like I can't do things on my own?" you whined.
"Y/N, you almost fell face first."
Grumbling disapprovals, you still grabbed onto him for safety until you were at the cake counter. Felix was the one to discuss with the girl in charge of the cakes and they argued a bit as she noticed it was none of you's birthday. As they keot on bickering, Chan rolled his eyes as he knew he had to step in.
"Excuse me?" he cleared his throat grabbing the woman's attention.
The moment she saw he had just spoken, her posture straightened. "Mr. Bang," she almost whispered. "What an honour to have you here!"
"I understand my friends do not fit into your criterias for the cakes but I swear they only really want to play with the sparklers."
"I'm sorry, sir, but sparklers in a club-"
"I'll take them outside for when we lit them up, I promise."
By magic, this did the trick and the woman gave you about thirty of them. Seungmin went to get the others and you all went outside to lit them up. You, Felix and Jeongin were the most excited about them while Chan and Changbin were the most worried. Nonetheless, you took Minho's lighter from him as soon as he took it out of his pocket and hurried yourself to lit your sparklers up.
You admired them for what seemed to be an eternity until you ran out of them. Hyunjin declared this was enough for the night as he still had work to do the following day. The rest ended up agreeing and you all walked home.
"I'll take her," Chan said to Changbin who was not willing to let you go.
"I'm the assigned person to take her home."
"It'll be weird if a man other than her lover does it."
Changbin, for once, didn't budge. "Listen, Bang. I get you two have this thing for publicity but she is in a vulnerable state right now. While I do get your point, you're not the one who has known her for eight years and been there when she needed someone the most. Don't think because you are supposedly her boyfriend that you get to take this from us."
And he left with you.
This might have come from a deeper place than simply getting you home but Changbin had had enough. He couldn't risk you getting hurt by this man. Especially not when he had noticed how you were warming up to him.

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
You stared at the open trunk of your car, wondering just how the hell you were going to get either box up to your new apartment by yourself. When you had ordered the new mattress and bedframe for your new place, you had been counting on Felix to help you move things in, but then he had called earlier stating he was sick and leaving you by yourself for the day.
You couldn’t blame him. Not when you knew he had been looking forward to this day almost as much as you had, eager for an inside look at The Paradigm and a possible peek at your future coworkers. But the timing of it all couldn’t have been worse for you, having already picked up your new furniture from the store by the time he had called you to let you know. If your situation had been normal, you could have just left them in your car until the following weekend, but you knew that would only put you in a worse situation. One where you might be forced to kiss your new life goodbye before it had ever even started.
Knowing there was an elevator did give you a slight boost in confidence, and you thought you could very possibly get the box that contained your bed frame up to your place. The mattress, however, was a different story. Perhaps you might have been able to do it if you dragged it, but even then, you risked making a commotion and you didn’t want to accidentally damage anything in the endeavor either. The last thing you needed was to make a worse impression than you already had; the fact you had been late to your lease signing still haunted your mind despite Seonghwa’s insistence it was fine.
The only other option you could think of was to ask one of your future coworkers for help. Since you had signed the lease last Monday, you had been added to a group chat with the eight of them, each who had been nothing short of sweet and welcoming to you. And though there had been multiple offers of help extended your way, you hadn’t actually expected to take any of them up on it. You didn’t want to bother them on a Saturday afternoon, especially with such a late notice, but your fear of keeping the boxes in your car for another week only to risk your boyfriend seeing them far outweighed your fear of asking for help.
Running a hand through your hair and doing your best to ignore the anxieties that popped up from the thought, you pulled your phone out of your back pocket and opened up the group chat. Your eyes briefly skimmed over the previous  messages, unable to keep your cheeks from tinting pink at their content, especially knowing the face behind each name.
They chatted often. Not enough to where your phone was always blowing up, but enough for you to see the clear bond between them, leading to many occasions of you feeling like you were an intruder, not quite familiar with many of their jokes or references. But just when you would begin to wonder if they had forgotten you were there, someone would direct the conversation your way, directly asking your opinion on the matter or apologizing on the behalf of someone else in the chat.
You scrolled past the messages that had come through on your drive over  as you hesitated - someone had borrowed one of Hongjoong’s jackets a few weeks ago and had yet to return it - fingers hovering over the screen for a few seconds as you wondered just how to word the message without sounding too needy. By the time you had come up with something and typed it out, you quickly deleted it before retyping something else before deleting and repeating the process all over a second time. This time however, you hit send before you could even think about talking yourself out of it and attempting to move in by yourself to avoid the anxiety asking for help always brought.
Your regret was immediate, and you quickly locked your phone up and slid it in your pocket to avoid seeing any responses the request might pull and wondering just what you were thinking. Your phone buzzed almost immediately, and you froze, wanting to pull it out, and yet, terrified all the same. When it buzzed once again a few seconds later, you slowly pulled it out, preparing yourself for the worst, but finding two acceptances instead. Jongho had been the first to respond with a short, but enthusiastic Me! while Mingi had followed a few seconds later, stating he was also free if an extra set of hands was needed.
There was relief in knowing you would be able to unpack your car this weekend, but the solution had come with its own set of problems. Not only did you still feel like an inconvenience for bothering them on the weekend, but you really didn’t know any of them at this point, and had yet to even meet either of the two who had offered to help you today face-to-face. From your previous experiences with each of them, you were confident you could get along well enough, but it would still be a while before you became comfortable enough around them that you didn’t always feel slightly on edge.
You sifted through a few of the other boxes and bags in your car as you waited for Jongho and Mingi to come, briefly checking your own appearance in your car’s rear view mirror. Now that you no longer needed your savings to rent a place of your own, you had been free to spend some of it on furnishing your new apartment and had spent the majority of the morning out shopping. Besides your clothing, books, and a few other belongings you couldn’t bear to part with, there was little you would be actually taking from your current place and you wanted this place to be as move-in ready as it could be by this time next week. And while you hadn’t gotten everything you needed, not quite having enough on hand to buy any other major furniture pieces besides a bed, you were able to snag some new towels, bedsheets, and enough dishware to get you started for the time being.
Your eyes glanced behind you every so often as you waited, looking out for the two who had stated they were on their way down once you had given them your location. You weren’t sure exactly what either boy looked like, but you did have a sneaking suspicion you would be able to spot them nonetheless. All you had to do was likely wait for the next two attractive strangers to leave the apartment building and you were sure to find them.
And though you did your best to not let your mind dwell there, you found yourself growing self-conscious of your own appearance, checking and straightening your hair up once more in the mirror. You had dressed simply for the occasion, putting your own comfort first, and merely pulling on a pair of joggers, cropped tee, and a jacket that you had since wrapped around your waist from the lingering summer heat. Before, you had at least tried to fit in with the higher class of the complex, but one brief look at the tenants who had just walked inside, and you were swiftly reminded of how much you stuck out here.
You didn’t have to wait too much longer. Just a few minutes later and you found you had been right in your earlier assessment. At the sound of the door opening behind you, you glanced back to find two men walking out, both equally as attractive as the others. The one on the left was tall, just as tall if not taller than Yunho had been, while the other was just a few inches taller than yourself. Something that had been said must have annoyed the shorter one, as he shoved the other as they made their way outside, but a smile was planted on each of their faces and the earlier action done playfully.
Upon seeing you standing by your car, both of their faces instantly lit up and the taller one was quick to wave. His smile was infectious, leaving you to follow suit with your own before returning his wave as well.
“You must be y/n.” It was the taller one who addressed you first as they drew close, holding out his hand for you to shake. “I’m Mingi.”
“It’s very nice to meet you, Mingi.” Now that you were close, you could see his hair was not black like you had originally thought, but a dark blue. that shone through in the fluorescent lights of the parking garage.
His smile nearly had you melting up close, instantly setting your nerves to rest as you took his hand. So, this was the other doctor who served at the complex, seemingly just as sweet and gentle as Yunho had been. And with his appearance just as young as the former, you wondered if the two had met in medical school. They definitely appeared around the same age as each other.
“I’m Jongho.” The other swiftly stole your attention, his smile just as endearing as the one before. All it took was one quick look and you were struck with the sudden urge to know just what it felt like to be hugged by him, all but craving to be wrapped up in his warm embrace.
“So, you needed some help moving things in?” Mingi asked, snapping the strange spell that had grabbed hold of you in that moment, a slight edge to his tone that surprised you. You turned your gaze back to him just in time to see the look he had given Jongho, not quite angry, nor was it quite frustrated either, but almost reprimanding. But a smile was quick to replace it when his gaze met yours once more, leaving you wondering if it hadn’t just been a trick of the light.
“Yes,  sorry.” Your smile became bashful, once again embarrassed by having to ask for their help. “My friend was supposed to be here with me today to help, but then he came down with something and wasn’t able to make it, so thank you, truly, for your help. I really appreciate it.”
You ran your hand through your hair, wondering if you would ever feel completely at ease around any of them. You had no want for any sort of romantic relationship once you finally broke things off with your boyfriend the following week, but the strange attraction you felt towards each of them was enough to keep you on edge, leaving you flustered more often than not, all but craving to get in closer.
“It shouldn’t take too long. I just needed some help with these two boxes,” you motioned to the two larger ones, inwardly cursing yourself. You had never had this problem before, not even with Haneul, who you had been silently crushing on since he had started working with you. “So, maybe just five or so minutes of your time and then you can return back to whatever it was you were doing beforehand.”
“Don’t worry about it. We’re both more than happy to help.” Jongho waved your concern away, moving past you to grab the heavier of the two boxes. “Neither of us were up to anything important. We were just hiding out at Wooyoung’s place while he started prepping for dinner tonight, which he said you are more than welcome to come to as well, by the way.”
“Careful, that’s-” You barely registered the invitation to dinner, more concerned about helping Jongho with the box he was pulling out, but he lifted it with ease, “...heavy.”
You found it impossible not to stare, watching it awe as he shifted the box onto his right shoulder to help support the weight, and unable to keep your eyes from wandering over the muscles on his arms. You had struggled to lift the box into your car earlier, and yet, he had made it look like it was nothing.
Just how much did this guy workout?
“Careful, Jongho,” Mingi’s voice held a similar tone from earlier, breaking you out from your thoughts once more. You were acutely aware you had been staring at Jongho in that moment, and shifted your gaze away, but not before Jongho had caught your wandering eyes out of the corner of his own.
“I’ve got it, I’ve got it.” He waved both of your concerns away, an innocent, yet almost smug smile on his face.
Mingi didn’t seem nearly as amused, but his expression lightened when he turned to address you. “Don’t worry, I can get the other one if you don’t mind getting the doors.”
You nodded, watching in a similar awe as Mingi grabbed the box that contained your new bed frame with just as much ease as Jongho before. You knew you weren’t that strong, but you didn’t think you were that weak either. Sure, you didn’t go to the gym every day, or even every other day for that matter, but you liked to think you had some muscles from casually working out with Felix over the past few years when you had the time.
It took you several seconds to comprehend Mingi’s request, body and mind not quite catching up to what was currently happening until Jongho called for you from further ahead. You shook your head, snapping yourself out of the daze and grabbing a few bags from your trunk before running up to grab the door for Jongho before he reached it.
You didn’t have to direct either of them to your unit. Upon reaching the elevator, Mingi had pressed the button for the sixth floor before you could even think to say something and guided you effortlessly down the hall to where the door to your apartment lay.
“Where would you like us to put them?” Mingi asked as he slid past the door you held open and into the main room. “Upstairs?”
“If it’s not too much trouble, that would be great.”
It felt strange coming back here, once again in complete awe of the space around you. It was more than you could ever dream of, and completely yours. A fact you didn’t think would ever settle completely in your head.
“Hey, y/n, this is your bed, right?” Jongho pulled you from your thoughts, leaning over the banister of the lofted area to address you. “You want us to put it together for you while we’re here?”
“Oh, no, that’s okay. I can get it myself later.” You shook your head, waving his offer away. “I’ve taken enough of your Saturday as it is.”
“Trust me, neither one of us minds. And if I’m being honest, you’re really doing us a favor. Hongjoong was trying to rope us into running a few errands for him since we were free and I did not feel like driving around town all afternoon.” Propping his elbows up against the edge, he rested his chin down into his hands. “So, we are now your humble servants for the rest of the afternoon, ready and willing to do whatever you need of us.”
He winked, and you hoped he couldn’t see the blush that tinted your cheeks as you turned your head away and used all your current brainpower to come up with a proper response.
“C’mon, while Jongho starts putting the bed frame together, why don’t you and I get the rest of the stuff from your car?” Mingi didn’t seem to have any reservations about Jongho’s former statement as he came back down the stairs, motioning with his head for the two of you to head back out. “And then we can help him finish when we’re done.”
He didn’t wait for you to agree, leaving you no choice but to follow after him and accept their offer of help.
“So, how long have you lived here?” You asked once the two of you had made it back down to your car, shuffling around some of the boxes to have a better grip.
“I’ve been here since The Paradigm opened,” Mingi replied, taking the heavier boxes from your hands and leaving you with just the new bedsheets and towels to carry. “Hongjoong and I have known each other for a long time, so when he introduced a new business venture he was interested in, I signed right up. The rent was free and it certainly beat the long shifts at the hospital.” He shrugged, closing your trunk for you now that it was empty. “What about you? Have you always lived in the city?”
You shook your head, readjusting the bags in your hands to open the door for the two of you. “I grew up in a pretty rural area up north, but moved down here for college, so I’ve only been in the city for about… three years now, I think.”
“And what do you think about it?”
“City life definitely has its pros and cons, and for the most part, I really do love living here, but I don’t know,” you shrugged, “sometimes it’s just a little overwhelming being in such a big place all on your own.”
“You’re by yourself?” Mingi’s head tilted, surprised by your words. “I’m sorry, I just assumed you had been living with someone else.”
“Well, you’d be right about that. I pretty much moved in with my boyfriend as soon as I arrived, but,” you paused, unsure how exactly to word your current situation, “I guess I've always felt like I was still all by myself.”
“Is that why you’re getting a new place?”
You shook your head. “We’re actually breaking up, so I was in need of a new place to stay.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.”
“Thank you, but it’s really for the best.” It was hard to meet Mingi’s eyes as you waited for the elevator, fingers nervously fidgeting with the bags in your hands. “The two of us might have been fighting the inevitable for a while, but it’s really something that’s been coming for a long time now, and honestly, as terrified as it makes me being out on my own again, I’m also relieved to finally be able to get away.”
“And why’s that?” It was hard to place Mingi’s expression. He was empathetic towards your situation, that was obvious, but there was something else there. Something more than the vague curiosity he presented alongside it.
You could feel your body freezing up on you, wondering if it was appropriate to dump all your past trauma on someone you had just met, but Mingi felt nothing but genuine next to you. His gentle nature all but encouraging you to tell him what was on your mind.
“Well, let’s just say the guy has never learned how to keep it in his pants.” The words rolled out with ease, prompting you to continue. “And I know, I’m an idiot for staying with him through it all this time, but each time I talked to him about it, he truly seemed sorry and willing to change, and it’s not like I had anywhere else to go.”
Your words trailed off, feeling self-conscious over your past attempts. It was so easy to see how foolish you were now. To see how you should have left. To see how anyone in their right mind would have left, and yet, you hadn’t. You had allowed him to convince you to stay each and every time, fully believing everything would work out.
You tugged the bags you were holding closer to your chest, suddenly feeling very small and insignificant in that moment. As much as you knew the problem lay with him and not yourself, you still fought against the lies that told you it was your fault, that if you had only been better, none of this would have ever happened. He would have never cheated on you; you would have never gotten yourself hurt.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to dump that all on you.”
“I don’t mind. After all, it’s not good to keep feelings all bottled up inside and if it makes you feel better, I can listen to you rant about him as long as you need.” Mingi’s shoulder bumped against your own as the elevator came to a stop, and you could see his smile reflecting in the doors as they opened, but it didn’t quite meet his eyes this time around. “But I can’t help but feel a little concerned over the fact you’re still living with him over this next week. Are you sure that’s safe?”
“It’s not ideal, sure, but it’s not like I have any other choice. I would have loved to move in as soon as I had signed the lease, but he knows where I work and he would have just come in one day and convinced me to change my mind. He can be very persuasive when he wants to be.” You could feel your body tensing, not quite comfortable with the direction the conversation had taken. It was uncomfortable to talk about this side of your past, embarrassing to see just how easily you had allowed him to manipulate you. “But it’s nothing to worry about. I’ve been with him for the past three  years, so I can do one more week as long as he doesn’t catch on that I’m leaving. And despite his cheating ways, he’s never done anything to hurt me. Well,” you frowned, instantly taking note of the lie you had just spoken, “not physically, at least.”
You drove the conversation to its end as you made it back to your apartment, motioning for Mingi to set his boxes on the kitchen counter for now. And while you made your way upstairs to check on Jongho and leave the conversation completely, Mingi excused himself out into the hallway to make a quick phone call once he remembered he had forgotten to list a few of the supplies he had needed Hongjoong to pick up during his time out.
“You want some help?”
Jongho had made some progress in your absence, the majority of the pieces scattered around him in the relative shape of a bed, and you couldn’t help but feel partially guilty for leaving him to do the task for you when it was your bed frame.
He nodded, motioning for you to come over. “If you could hold this together for me real quick, that would be great.”
“Of course.”
You matched his smile as you settled down on the ground beside him to take hold of the pieces he was talking about, and it didn’t take long for you to become aware of how close the two of you were in that moment. Especially, when he leaned in closer to screw together the two pieces you were holding for him.
“Once again, thank you.” You spoke after a few minutes, hoping to alleviate some of the tension you felt from being so close to him, and hating how on edge he made you. It was the same way with the others, and yet, it was distinctly worse around some than others. Jongho’s presence fell towards the latter, and you had a much harder time keeping a grip on your thoughts and emotions around him than you had with Mingi, and yet, one look at both of them was enough for all your solid reasoning to leave your body. “I really appreciate your help.”
“It’s no problem at all,” Jongho replied, arm brushing up against yours. “Like I said earlier, you’re really doing us a favor in return. We were looking for an excuse to be busy until dinner tonight.”
“Oh, yeah, you mentioned Wooyoung was making dinner for you. That’s very sweet of him.” You thought Jongho might have mentioned Wooyoung had also extended an invitation towards you, but didn’t want to make any assumptions in case you had heard him wrong, distracted by the show of strength of the boy next to you.
“He’s just about the only one of us who’s actually any good at cooking. Well, Seonghwa’s pretty decent as well, but he doesn’t enjoy it the way Wooyoung does, nor is he as willing to share with the rest of us. Woo usually hosts a dinner once or twice a week, but you’ll definitely have to watch out for him,” Jongho continued. “Baking is pretty much that man’s love language and he’ll load you with more goods and sweets then you’ll know what to do with.”
“Oh, well, if that’s how he is, I guess it’s a good thing I have a sweet tooth.”
The words were out before you could stop them, and it took you a few seconds to realize just what you had said and how it might have sounded, especially the chuckle it had pulled out of Jongho. You hadn’t meant anything by it, but as you quickly ran through the words in your head once more, you began to question what exactly Jongho had meant by his statement and if it hadn’t been as innocent as you had first believed. Especially when he was quick to quip back, “You’re not the only one.”
And was it your imagination, or had he shifted closer to you than necessary? Leaning forward into you as he reached around your body to tighten the piece he had you holding.
Thankfully, you were saved from responding when Mingi came up the stairs behind you, though the way he cleared his voice to announce his presence didn’t make you feel any better from the position Jongho had taken around you.
“Fucking hell, Mingi.” Jongho’s string of curses was almost too low to hear, leaving you once again wondering what exactly was going on around you as Jongho straightened back up. His eyes rolled, agitation once again lining his features, or at least you thought it had. One blink and the look was gone, replaced with another innocent expression as he motioned to his left hand. “Sorry, cut myself.” His hand rose to his mouth, briefly sucking on the end of his middle finger to get rid of the blood that had begun pooling on the tip.
You averted your eyes, shaking your head in an attempt to clear it and wondering just what was up with you today. Perhaps you were simply coming down with whatever illness Felix had. You had seen him the day before, after all, so you very well could have caught it from him then; the beginning of a fever clouding your mind and judgment. And yet, your forehead felt cool to the touch when you brushed the back of your hand against it despite the heat that flooded you.
Things calmed down once Mingi joined the two of you, helping you finish putting the bed frame together. Once it was completed, you directed them to where you wanted it to lie before unboxing your mattress and allowing it time to air out before tugging on the set of sheets you had bought.
By the time you were all done, it was nearly five and you were far more exhausted than you expected to be, especially knowing you had the opening shift tomorrow morning. You were supposed to be working it with Felix, but now you weren’t so sure since he had come down with something. You didn’t really have any qualms with the rest of your coworkers, nor with your managers, but working with Felix was always a lot less exhausting than working a shift with anyone else.
“Thank you again for helping me out,” you said as you made your way back downstairs, rolling out the kinks in your back. “I really appreciate all your help and I don’t mean to seem rude, but I should probably get ready to head back to my place soon.”
“You’re not going to stay for dinner?” Jongho asked, seemingly disappointed as he reminded you of the offer he had extended towards you earlier in the day.
“Oh, right.”
You had forgotten about the invitation until now, and quickly debated over what you should do. On one hand, you were exhausted and craved an evening to yourself, but on the other hand, you didn’t want to seem rude and turn down the offer either. It would be good to get to know them and the others a bit better, and if you wanted everything here to go smoothly as possible, it would be best to get on good terms with each of them.
“If you’re sure I wouldn’t be interrupting anything, I’d love to join you, but I probably can’t stay too long. I have work tomorrow morning and a fairly long drive back to my place.”
And with reassurances your presence was more than welcomed, you followed them out of your apartment and down to the floor beneath yours where Wooyoung’s own unit lay. The door was unlocked, and neither boy even bothered knocking and made their way inside as though it was their own apartment. You followed behind a bit more hesitantly, slipping off your shoes at the doorway and pushing them to the side.
The layout to Wooyoung’s place was vastly different from yours, having actual bedrooms towards the back instead of a lofted studio like your own. A large kitchen was directly to your right, which then flowed directly into a small dining room with a view of the city behind it, while the living area was to your left.
Wooyoung was busy in the kitchen upon your arrival, and you could faintly make out two figures sprawled out on the couch playing what looked to be Super Smash Bros.
“Oh, y/n, you came!”
Wooyoung was the first to notice your presence, but one mention of your name was all it took for the game on your left to pause and the two seated there to give you their attention as well. Now that their heads were turned towards you, you were able to see it was Yeosang and San seated there.
“Thanks for having me over, and for dinner too.” You returned his smile, shuffling awkwardly at everyone’s attention. “I’ve heard a lot about your cooking and can’t wait to try it.” And if it was anything like the cookies you had earlier in the week or the smell wafting from the kitchen, you knew it probably matched up to the hype.
“Well, unfortunately you’ll have to wait another hour or so before it’s ready and everyone else gets here,” Wooyoung turned as the timer on the oven went off, “but feel free to make yourself at home in the meantime and just let me know if you need anything.”
“Hey, y/n, we have plenty of controllers if you want to join.” Before you could thank Wooyoung, you were being waved over by San and Yeosang, the former waving a controller your way.
“Sure, I’d love to,” you politely excused yourself from Wooyoung as you were guided over to the living room by Mingi, “though I must warn you, I’m not very good. I never really got any of the combos down, so I’m usually just button mashing and hoping for the best.”
“Well, you wouldn’t be the only one,” San replied, motioning to the spot between him and Yeosang on the couch and handing you a controller when you had sat down. “Even the bots can beat Yeosang.”
“May I remind you that we only switched to this game because you got tired of me kicking your ass in Mario Kart.”
“Don’t feel too bad, I’m even worse at that game.” You giggled as Yeosang ended the game he and San had been playing, loading up a new preset for the rest of you to join. “Thankfully, though, I can always do pretty decent in Mario Party. Which is kind of sad, but I’ll take what I can get.”
“Well, we have that too if you want to switch.” Yeosang replied, but you shook your head, not wanting to ruin their fun.
“No, this is perfectly fine with me. I might be terrible at it, but I still enjoy playing.” You contemplated which character you were going to pick as you spoke. You had thought about starting with Link, but upon seeing Mingi get to him before you, you decided to just go with your other go-to for the first round.
“Sephiroth, huh?” Yeosang was the first to remark as you solidified your character.
“Mmhmm.” You shifted in your seat, pulling your legs up to your chest as you nodded. “Final Fantasy and Zelda were pretty much my childhood growing up, so I usually tend to orient towards those characters. Well, them and Joker. I never really got into the Persona games like my friend Felix, but I do love his aesthetic.”
It took you a few rounds to get back into the swing of things, having been several months since the last time you had played. You rotated between characters as you went, going from Shiek to Joker and then back to Sephiroth, but it was clear you were nowhere near the level of the others. Occasionally you would beat Yeosang, and even once managed to outlast Mingi, but on most occasions you would be the first one dead, proving your lack of skills for the game.
After a few more games, you decided to take a break, excusing yourself to go check on Wooyoung and feeling a little guilty from all the work he was doing by himself while you played. You weren’t much of a cook yourself, at least not on the level he was, but surely there was something you could do, even if it was just keeping him company for the time being.
He lounged against one of the counters, head buried into the phone he held. As his eyes scanned the small screen, a frown worked its way across his features and his fingers danced across the screen to form a reply to whatever had upset him.
“Can I help with anything?”
His head whipped up at your soft approach, and whatever had upset him was quickly replaced with a smile. With one last glance at his phone, he pocketed it and shook his head. “I don’t think so. Everything’s pretty much ready , so we’re really just waiting for the others to make it back. Hongjoong had some errands to run and it seems they had to make a few detours on their way back, so they’re running later than expected. Can I get you anything to drink in the meantime, though?”
“Water if you don’t mind.”
You took a seat at the island counter as Wooyoung fetched your drink, wondering if you would ever get used to living like this. If you would ever get used to living here at The Paradigm. Despite knowing you now had your very own place one level above, you couldn’t help but feel like it was all some hazy dream. That you would finally wake up and realize nothing had changed because you knew how crazy this whole situation was. It was just too good to be true, and yet, here you still were, seemingly still wide awake.
You chatted idly with Wooyoung as you waited, munching on a small snack he had given you when you had accidentally let it slip that you hadn’t eaten anything all day. You hadn’t meant to skip lunch, but it had just slipped your mind with everything else going on. Yeosang joined the two of you shortly after, giving video games a rest for the night after being severely beaten once more.
The others arrived shortly after, just as the sun was starting to set. You couldn’t help but grow slightly more on edge at their appearance, fully aware of Hongjoong’s and Seonghwa’s position above you in your new job, but it didn’t take long to ease back into a more relaxed state. Well, as relaxed as you could be around them.
Yeosang and Wooyoung kept their positions beside you, while Hongjoong took up the empty bar stool beside you. As you ate, you spoke of your childhood, your family, as well as your interests and how you had ended up in the city. You were aware of the way the attention seemed to be directed towards you, but any time you attempted to direct the conversation elsewhere and ask them about themselves, it didn’t take long for the conversation to drift its way back to you once more. You didn’t mind, not really, having nothing to hide about your past, but you couldn’t help but feel a little bad and hoped they didn’t think badly of the fact you were doing the majority of talking.
It didn’t take long for you to lose track of time, your phone laying forgotten beside you on the counter. It wasn’t until you looked outside and saw the sun had long set that you were suddenly reminded of the fact you still had a long drive back to your apartment. You grabbed your phone to check the time, barely recognizing it was much later than you had anticipated when you noticed several missed calls and a few texts from Felix alongside a message from your manager.
“Is everything alright?” Hongjoong was the first to take note of the confusion that crossed your features as you scanned over the text from your manager, the source of Felix’s concern.
“Yeah, yeah, everything’s good. It’s just…” Your words trailed off, trying to make sense of what she had sent you and understanding why Felix had now been trying to get a hold of you. “Do you mind if I go make a call real quick?” You excused yourself from the bar, making your way out of the apartment and out into the hallway for some privacy as you returned Felix’s call.
“Jesus, y/n, do you know how badly you just scared me?” Felix didn’t even bother with a greeting, leaving you cringing as you realized exactly what sort of state he was in. “Don’t tell me that fucking bastard found out you were moving.”
“No, no, nothing like that.” You frowned, understanding how it must have looked from his side, and yet just as lost as he was over the whole situation. “I’m sorry for scaring you, Lix, I really didn’t mean to, but to be honest, I’m just as confused as you are. For some reason Hana texted me an hour ago saying not to bother showing up to work for my last few shifts. I texted her back asking why or if I had done something, but all she’s said is that she just got someone else to cover me.”
“Wait, so she just took you off the schedule and said not to bother finishing up?”
“That’s what it looks like.” You took a screenshot of the conversation with your manager, sending it over to Felix to show him exactly what had been said. “I mean, I guess I don’t really mind. It’s not like I need the money now, but I just don’t understand why she did it without asking me first. You don’t think I did something do you? Something that might have made her mad?”
You had never had any problems with Hana before. Sure, you had your shared frustrations towards the way she managed the store occasionally, but the two of you had always gotten along, at least you thought you had. She had always seemed to appreciate your work ethic and she had never expressed any concern towards you before. But what if something had happened? What if she had overheard one of your conversations with Felix about you wishing you could just finish up this job and move on with your life and had gotten upset over it?
“No way, you were Hana’s favorite, so maybe she just wanted to give you a break.” Felix replied, pushing back any anxieties that had popped up from it. “You’ve covered a lot of shifts for her in the past, so maybe she just wanted to repay the favor here in the end, especially knowing how excited you are.”
“I don’t know.” You leaned back against the wall behind you, still trying to run the situation over in your head. Because of the delicate position you were in, you had only simply told her and your other coworkers you were moving. The only one who knew exactly where was Felix. “Maybe.”
“Well, regardless of what or how it happened, it looks like you now have the week off, so what are you going to do now?”
“I don’t know.” In all your confusion over what had happened with your schedule, you had yet to even think about what that meant for you or what you might be able to do with it. “I guess I could move in early now, but…” You paused, the weight of the situation hitting you. You had known all along what was happening, and yet, it had never quite hit you like it did now.
“But, what? Don’t tell me you're getting second thoughts about it all again, because if you are, I will drive over to your place right now and drag your ass out of there whether you want me to or not.”
“No, no, it’s not that.” At least you didn’t think it was. You wanted to leave, you did, but why did it suddenly scare you so much? “And I’m not even there right now, so your drive would be wasted.”
“Don’t tell me you’re still unpacking, are you?” You could hear the pity in Felix’s voice, fully aware he still felt terrible for having to bail on you earlier in the day.
“Oh, no. I got some help from Mingi and Jongho and we finished up hours ago.” You quickly waved his concern away. “It’s just that I got invited to dinner and lost track of time.”
“Dinner?” You didn’t have to see Felix to know what expression had crossed his face, and you did your best to hide your blush  regardless of the fact you couldn’t see each other.
“No, it’s not like that at all. I guess Wooyoung hosts dinners occasionally, so I just got roped into going as well.” Your body shifted, growing uncomfortable by the inclination his voice had held and lowering your voice. “There’s absolutely nothing going on and they’re just being friendly, Lix. Just friends hanging out with friends, nothing more.”
“Well, at least for now.”
“Oh, come on Felix, it’ll never come to that and you know it.” And despite the teasing tone his voice had taken, you could feel yourself beginning to sink into yourself, realizing how stupid it would be to ever think otherwise. “I don’t doubt that most of them are already in a relationship, and even if they’re not, they wouldn’t be interested in me. I mean, why the hell would they?”
“Well, if you ask me, they’d be dumb not to be.” Felix’s voice softened. “I mean, if I swung that way, I’d snag you right up before anyone else could have a chance to steal you. You’re the ultimate package, n/n. You’re sweet, kind, smart-”
“You’re only saying that because you’re required to as my best friend.”
And he had to be, didn’t he? After all, how could you believe something like that when everything in life had told you otherwise? The only person to ever express an interest in you before had swiftly shown you weren’t worth it and continued to tell you so for years. He had proved  that there was something wrong with you, because otherwise, he would have cared enough about you to not break you completely.
“I know it might be hard to believe it at times, but you are worth it, y/n, truly. And one of these days you’ll finally meet someone who will help to teach you that, but for now, you’ll just have to take it from me. And I promise you, I’m not saying any of this because I’m required to, but rather because I believe it.”
“Oh, Felix.” You wiped your eyes, brushing away the tears that had fallen and biting back the apology that fell at the tip of your tongue. You had had this conversation or similar ones enough in the past to know Felix would only immediately refute it, saying there was absolutely no need to apologize. “I don’t know what I would do without you.” You repeated the words you had said to him so often, truly wondering why he had ever decided to become your friend with all the baggage that came with you. In all the time you had known him, he had been a bright light in your life and a steady force that had gotten you through some of the roughest times in your life.
You talked for a minute longer to help lift your spirits back up, confirming with Felix that you were in a fit state to drive and would head back to your boyfriend’s place for the night and start packing up so that you were ready and gone before he came home tomorrow night. You strayed in the hallway for a bit longer once the call was over, attempting to get your emotions under control once more and prayed that your eyes weren’t red from crying.
Taking one last breath and doing your best to compose yourself, you made your way back into Wooyoung’s apartment to thank him, Mingi, and Jongho one last time before heading back for the night.
“Everything alright?” Hongjoong was the first to address you at your return, but you shook off his concern as best you could, fully hoping the smile you wore met your eyes.
“Yeah, it was just some stuff that came up with work.” Your hands fiddled with the end of your jacket’s sleeves, shuffling awkwardly at the eyes that watched you. “Apparently my manager found someone to take the rest of my shifts for the week and was just letting me know.”
“So, you’re now done?” Mingi asked, turning from his conversation at the table with Yunho to address you.
You nodded. “Yeah, I think so. I’ll still need to drop a few things off sometime this week, but I’ll probably do that sometime tomorrow after I’m done packing.” You paused for a moment before continuing, hoping you wouldn’t make things awkward by leaving directly after the phone call. “Which I have quite a bit to do now in a short amount of time, so I should probably go ahead and leave for the night-”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Hongjoong asked, stopping you from heading back to the door when he took hold of your wrist. “You did have quite a bit of wine earlier, and I don’t think it would be safe for you to drive.”
“What are you talking…?” Your head tilted, confused as to what he was talking about. You hadn’t drank anything tonight because you had known you would be driving back home. You had made sure of it.
And yet, now that you thought about it, you weren’t so sure. You didn’t think you had drank anything, but then why was there an empty wine glass next to your plate alongside the faintest memories beginning to pop up of you drinking it. Hadn’t Wooyoung offered you a glass before dinner had begun, and you had accepted thinking it would be fine if you drank it early enough?
God, how could you have forgotten you had been drinking? Were you really that drunk that you had completely forgotten what you had been doing? And how could you, when you could so clearly feel the effects of the alcohol in your system now, leaving you unsteady on your feet. What had you been thinking earlier? You were in no state to be driving. Not when you were now struggling to stand on your own two feet.
“Right, um…” You struggled  to get your thoughts together, suddenly aware of how hot it was in there.
“Woah, you okay there, pretty?” It was Yeosang behind you who spoke, grabbing hold of your shoulder to help steady you when you attempted to take your jacket back off, the action leaving you stumbling forward.
He, alongside Hongjoong, who still had a hold on your wrist, used their grip on you to guide you back down to your seat, leaving your vision racing momentarily. When your eyes managed to focus once more, you saw Hongjoong leaning over you, his close presence doing little to calm your racing thoughts, and only serving to scramble them more than ever. And as you looked up into his eyes, all your mind could focus on was how breathtakingly beautiful he was alongside the deep yearning to feel his lips pressed against your own.
“Why don’t I take you back to your room?” His hand brushed the hair out of your eyes, expression painstakingly sweet. “And then maybe we can go over and help you pack the rest of your stuff in the morning when you’re in a better mindset, yeah?”
You didn’t hear exactly what he had said, your brain too scrambled to comprehend what exactly was going on, but you nodded your head in agreement anyways, ready and more than willing to do whatever it was he asked of you.

stray kids reactions to their s/o cheering them up after a bad day
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff, hurt / comfort
warnings: none
a/n: sorry i forgot to change my pinned when i announced requests were open 💀 my bad
Tumblr media
chan
chan definitely has his bad days. and sometimes he feels like nothing, nothing will be able to lift his mood. but, to his surprise, you prove him wrong every time. without even meaning to, you will soothe his mind and somehow make his day better just by existing. just by being you. the natural praises that come out of your mouth when you talk to him make him realise his worth <3
minho
contrary to chan, minho doesn't have a lot of bad days. but that means, when he is faced with them, they hit harder than he would like them to. he really appreciates it when you're just there for him. when he's ready to talk about it, he will explain his frustrations. after this, you run your hands through his hair and tell him how proud you are of him. he would never want to admit it, but those words made him very emotional. you touched his heart deeply.
changbin
word of affirmation is important to changbin. when he comforts others, he tends to be very supportive with his words, showing that he cares whilst also trying to provide a solution. sometimes his own problems can't be solved. nevertheless, when you see him upset or sense he's worried about something, he really appreciates the praises and the words of comfort you give him. he realises, in these moments, how much he loves you.
hyunjin
hyunjin definitely relies on your words of wisdom and comfort. when he has bad days, he feels like there is a grey cloud following him, constantly there and something he just can't shake. even with loved ones around him, it's hard to shift out of his negative head-space. so when you leave your little words of encouragement ringing in his ear, telling him how well he did today, telling him how well he did always... he tears up. words such as these keep him going.
jisung
hannie can feel down about himself when he feels like he isn't doing enough. it hurts him, the idea that he should be doing more. the idea of being in a slump. he can't stand it. all he can think about is coming home and burying his face in the crook of your neck. and when he does this, you cuddle him close and praise him for how well he has done today. "you tried your best. and that's perfect to me." he will look up at you with shining eyes and whisper a 'thank you.' he is truly touched.
felix
unfortunately there are a lot of times when felix doubts himself. it can be quite disheartening to watch this sunshine boy talk badly about himself. he deserves to be praised because he doesn't give enough to himself. you recognise this and always try your best to offer sincere words of love and support. even if he might not believe your words at the time they are spoken, they will stick with him in harder times, and he will be grateful that you were there for him on those days.
seungmin
seungmin can get frustrated with himself if he isn't learning things as quickly as others or if he's not hitting the notes he wants to hit. you giving him compliments on these days, even if it's something small like 'you look handsome today', you know, something he hears every day, suddenly means a great deal more to him now that he's sad. you make him much, much happier.
jeongin
jeongin can get down about himself when he compares himself with others or makes little mistakes frequently. when he feels he isn't improving, his mindset can turn quite negative and he may feel disheartened. so he really does appreciate your efforts to lift him back up. it's nice hearing the good things he has done from the one he loves rather than his own negative thoughts.

tenderness | bonus scene: banmal
Tumblr media
pairing: bang chan x female reader
summary: the first time you call chan 'oppa.'
this is a bonus scene taking place in the tenderness universe, but you don't have to have read tenderness to read this fic! just know that the main character is currently a manager for stray kids. she's also chan's soulmate, which explains why she lives in the dorms with him.
chapter word count: 1.6k
warnings: none!
a/n: a bit of fluff was requested by one of the readers on ao3. the term 'banmal' is used to describe informal speech in korean and is usually for casual conversation between friends, relatives, or people younger than you. i can't properly demonstrate the way that the main character's speech level changes since speech levels don't exist the same way in english. i only modified the honorifics that y/n uses to address the members. this was my first time writing fluff, it was surprisingly fun!

“Noona?” You and Jisung are lounging in the living room after a schedule that miraculously ended early. You're not sure where the other guys are and you don't really care, it's nice to have one on one time with Jisung.
“Hm?” You drag your eyes away from the drama that the two of you have been half heartedly been watching to find him deep in thought.
“You called me Jisung-ssi earlier. You always do that. Why?”
“Ah,” you say, flustered. “It just still feels weird to talk to you guys informally. I don’t want anybody to get the wrong idea.”
“But you don’t call Felix, Felix-ssi! I’ve even heard you call him Lixie before! Why is he special?” Jisung whines.
“It’s different!” you defend yourself. “We talk in English mostly. There’s not really any honorifics or levels of speech. It’d be weirder if I did speak formally to him.”
“Sounds like an excuse, but okay. What do you call Channie-hyung?” he asks with a particular gleam in his eyes.
“Chan-ssi,” you say matter-of-factly. You have to bite back a laugh at the disappointed noise he makes at your response.
“Minho-hyung?”
“Minho-ssi.”
“Changbinnie-hyung?”
“Changbin-ssi,” you reply dutifully.
“You guys are the same age! It doesn’t make sense!” he groans.
“I don’t know what you’re expecting,” you say, amused. “I talk to all of you the same.”
“Are you kidding me? You’re hopeless.” He shakes his head dramatically. “You’re soulmates with Channie-hyung! That means you’re basically family to all of us. Listen, at work? Sure, fine, you can be all polite and formal, I get it. But in the dorms?”
“Jisu-”
“Here, the guys are coming over for dinner tonight. Please please please, can you call Minho-hyung oppa to his face?”
“What? No!” you say immediately.
“Pleaseee,” he draws out the word playfully. He shuffles closer and takes your hands in his, pouting exaggeratedly. “Just once! I just want to see his reaction! I know that all of us have told you at one point to speak to us comfortably. He wouldn’t get mad at you, I promise!”
“I’m not going to do it,” you laugh, trying to disentangle your hands.
“You can tell him that I forced you to! I’ll volunteer to clean the dishes after dinner! I’ll be better about cleaning the bathroom! I’ll buy you bubble tea for a week! I’ll buy you new shoes! I’ll stop changing my mind a million times when we’re trying to decide what to order during schedules! I'll write you a song! Please please please, Y/n-noona!”
“I-” you falter. Jisung immediately brightens, his mouth curves into a heart-shaped smile. “Fine. Only because you look so cute.”
Jisung cheers, jumping up and punching the air with his fists.
“You’re the best!!”
“I’m going to blame you for it,” you warn.
“Of course. Even if hyung kills me, it’ll be worth it in the moment.” He beams.
At dinner, Jisung sits to your left and every few minutes, he nudges your leg in an attempt to prompt you into speaking. You ignore it, continuing to eat as if nothing is happening. Yes, you agreed to follow along with Jisung’s silly idea, but you still want it to happen naturally, otherwise it would be even more out of place. As much as this is kind of a joke, it is starting to feel a bit strange always using polite speech and you're curious to see how everyone will react.
Opportunity strikes when you stretch to grab one of the side dishes that happen to be in front of Minho. You can't quite reach it sitting, but before you can stand, Minho picks up one of the serving utensils and picks out the best piece, placing it into your bowl. He serves himself next, but you know it's just to play off his kind gesture. You're genuinely grateful for his thoughtfulness.
“Thank you, Minho-oppa,” you say, making sure to keep your voice casual.
Everyone freezes. Minho is good at maintaining his nonchalant expression, but his ears betray him by slowly turning red. Your cheeks are flushed to match and even without looking, you can tell the rest of the boys are stunned. It takes a great effort on your part to not turn to glance at Chan, although you can practically feel his gaze burning into the side of your face.
Out of the corner of your eye, you see Jeongin elbow Hyunjin in the stomach and mouth "Oppa?" in disbelief.
Finally, Minho recovers enough to clear his throat loudly and say, "it's nothing, I was going to get some anyway."
Jisung, on the other hand, is grinning like an idiot.
“Hyung! You should have seen your reaction, I wish I had taken a picture!” He cries out, laughing loudly.
“What reaction?” Minho tries to play it off.
“Hyung, your ears.” Hyunjin tugs on one teasingly, then instantly apologises and cowers when Minho turns to glare at him.
"Call me oppa too, Y/n!" Changbin says excitedly, standing up to serve you from the dish closest to him.
"We're the same age, Changbin-ah, I'm not going to call you oppa," you tease. He just laughs, delighted to be on the receiving end of your more casual speech.
“If Y/n calls Minho-hyung oppa, does that mean she needs to call Chan-hyung ajhussi?” Seungmin pipes up. Across the table, Hyunjin dissolves into laughter at the thought.
Chan doesn’t mention it all evening, even though the boys continue to tease Minho, calling him ‘oppa’ instead of ‘hyung’ when they address him and taking every opportunity to call Chan ‘ajhussi’. They’ve both given out countless headlocks in revenge, but it’s all in good humour. Eventually, Minho, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin head home, and the rest of the boys drift off into their own rooms.
After washing up, you join Chan in his room, not wanting to hog the bathroom for any longer than required. He’s already set to sleep and had been sitting in bed scrolling on his phone until you had walked in. Through the reflection of the little mirror that you’re using to do your skincare routine, you can see that he’s watching you.
“You know,” he says steadily. “You can- you can call me that too, if you want.” You pause at the carefully worded request. You make eye contact with him through the mirror and watch as the tips of his ears and the tops of his cheeks slowly pinkens.
“Call you what?” you ask, deliberately playing oblivious.
“You know,” he flounders.
“Do I?" you wonder, tapping a finger to your lips teasingly.
“I mean, you don’t have to if you don’t feel comfortable, I just thought that if you were going to talk to the boys more casually then you can do the same. You’re my soulmate, things don’t have to be so formal all the time.  I don’t want to force you to do anything, but I wouldn’t mind, at all! I know Jisung probably was the one to get you to say that to Minho and it was really funny to see his reaction. Uhm. I mean, you can really call me anything that you want! Chan-ssi. Chan-oppa. Chan-ah, actually no that’s kind of weird maybe not that one. Uh if it makes it less weird you can use my English name too! Chris, Christopher, whatever,” he trails off, then buries his face in his hands with a groan. “Sorry, I don’t know what I’m saying.”
You're finished your skincare routine so you put away all the containers and turn in your seat so that you're fully facing him. You take a second to collect yourself, then pitch your voice so it's small and cutesy, a far cry from how you normally talk.
"Oppa," you test. His eyes immediately shoot up to meet yours, cheeks darkening more than they had before. "Do you want me to call you Channie-oppa?" You tilt your head to one side and widen your eyes.
"Argh.” This time, he turns to smash his face in his pillow to hide himself, pulling the blanket over his head for good measure.
"Channie-oppa, why are you hiding? I thought this is what you wanted." You lightly tug at the blanket, but he holds it tight, shaking his head vigorously. You've never been the type to perform aegyo, but it's surprisingly fun and you can't deny that you're enjoying Chan's reaction. After another minute, he pokes his head out looking a bit sheepish.
“You are really cute when you say that,” he admits. “And I really like to hear that you feel comfortable using banmal with us.”
“I am comfortable with everyone, I have been for a while,” you say. “And you’re also really cute when I call you oppa.”
His eyes crinkle as he smiles and you take the opportunity to lean forward and poke one of the dimples that appear. In retaliation, he grips the corners of the blanket and collects you in his arms, effectively swallowing you in the mess of fabric. He pulls you so that you lose balance and fall onto the bed, cradled in his arms. You feel so safe in his embrace and the both of you momentarily fall silent.
“Okay, I think we should sleep now,” Chan says eventually. “Good night, Y/n.”
“Good night… Channie-Oppa,” you respond.
Even though you can’t see Chan in the dark, you know that he’s smiling. It’s enough that you drift off to sleep with a smile as well.

you should probably force yourself to turn around and face him and once you do
this man is a flustered mess

I’d been waiting for this day for so long
It was the longest they'd been on tour, their stops in America taking the longest since they were continuous. It was only two weeks, but it felt like forever. We talked on the phone when he wasn’t too exhausted from their nights, the jetlag almost getting to him those first few days. We talked when he was too hyped up on adrenaline to sleep through the night, which was, unfortunately for him, way too often. I talked with him until he calmed enough to attempt to sleep. I did my best to try to dissuade him from doing any unnecessary work while he was away, claiming he was already working while he was gone. He didn’t agree very often.
But today? Today was the day they flew back home, their tour finally done and over with. They landed while I was working, my usual text from Chris appearing on my phone in the middle of my shift.
Channie ❣️: Baby I’m home!!!!!!!
The smile on my face was immediate and bigger than any I’d forced earlier that day. However, now with something to look forward to, that meant the day only went by slower and slower. By the time I’d finally clocked out for the day, it was dark out. The minute I stepped outside to breathe my first batch of fresh air in seven hours, my phone started singing to me. My ringtone for Chris was always my favorite sound.
“Hi baby! Did you miss me while I was gone?” I never got tired of his voice.
“Of course I did! I missed you the minute you left me in your bed to go to the airport.” I could hear his chuckle through the phone, his own smile evident. He always claimed I made him smile more than he did me but that was simply not true. There was no way.
“I missed you too, my love.” See? “Do you want to come over? There’s something I want you to see.”
‘’Only if you’re not tired. I thought you’d be exhausted after getting back.” My feet started the familiar route to his apartment, knowing the way all too well.
“Surprisingly, no. None of us are. So you’ll come?” I could hear the hope in his voice, as if there was a chance I would say no.
“I’m already on my way. I’ll see you soon, okay?”
“Wait! Before you come, can you bring some stuff with you?” I heard shouting and clattering in the background, followed by bouts of laughter. Chris shouted something I couldn’t make out, then his voice came back clearer. “Do you mind bringing some sheets and blankets with you? Go home and change into some comfy clothes and bring those with you, okay? Okay I love you and I’ll see you soon.” He hung up before I could question him, probably handling whatever broke in the background just now. Why does he need sheets and blankets though? Don’t they have enough there between the four of them? It didn’t matter. I changed course for my own apartment to change and grab the necessary supplies.
Half an hour later, I was standing outside their apartment, sheets and blankets in arms. The screaming coming from the door I was about to enter could be heard from down the hallway and I wasn’t sure what I would find when I knocked. Or if my knock could even be heard from the shouting coming from inside. I decided that texting Chris might be a better alternative and I grabbed my phone from my sweatshirt to do just that. Before I could hit send, the door flung open to Felix’s face, flushed and panting slightly. He grinned even wider and grabbed my arm to pull me inside to the dark apartment.
The entryway was blocked by a sheet hanging from the ceiling, a single light bulb so dimly lit that anyone who entered couldn’t see anything. There were more sheets from wall to wall, leaving the only way to enter was through the opening underneath about three feet high, just big enough to army crawl through.
“Felix, what-” He was already gone, his socked feet the only thing I could see as they disappeared underneath the blanket-hallway.There was a pause, then more movement as he crawled back through to poke his blonde head out. I stood there for a second.
“Come on!” And then he was gone again, the sheet swaying as he crawled back through the way he came. I dropped with a sigh still unsure of what was going on. As I inched my way through the makeshift tunnel, a world of more clothed hallways came into view past Felix, creating a maze of plaid, solid colors, and some children’s sheets with dragons and cars and baseballs, all in different displays all over the place.  Some were folded, guiding me to the right where one set of bedrooms lay, most were somehow suspended in what seemed to be thin air and hanging to create more tunnels to everyone one could go in this small apartment. Each crawl space was no taller than I would’ve been on my knees, leaving no room for anyone to stand fully straight. I slowed my crawl to take it all in, just how many sheets and blankets were needed to create such a space and where on earth they got them all from.
When Felix stopped, he turned with that perfect smile of his and took the cloths from my arms and crawled faster back towards the opposite hallway.
“Hannie! I’ve got more! Let’s do Hyunjinnie’s room now!” I decided I didn’t want to know the specifics. I glanced around me to the different options laid before me. One set of sheet-tunnels was brightly lit, where Felix had just run off to. The other, straight ahead, was where the living room once sat. A soft glow from what I assumed to be the twinkling lights Hyunjin had in his room glowing through the thin sheets. I thought that would be my best course of action.
When I arrived at where the living room once was, I couldn’t help the slight awe that came over me. This space was covered well, with a thin sheet tucked behind the TV to slant as the other end was tucked behind the couch. There were indeed twinkling lights, somehow hanging from the top down, their light illuminating the space that had turned into the common place for gathering. The coffee table had been pushed to the side for more stability, another sheet pinned down and held by a large stack of books. It had been pushed to make room for the obscene amount of blankets that were spread and laid on top of one another, creating a soft, plush invitation for anyone who wanted to stay. I found a few more of the boys, including my boyfriend who was trying to hook up his gaming console to the TV there.  Changbin and Seungmin were trying to help him, but seemed to be shooed away when they were anywhere near close to the console. I decided to simply take in the scene until Seungmin said my name.
“Can you please tell your boyfriend not to ask for help if he doesn’t actually want it?” Chan looked up to see me and his face lit up, dropping the cords he was holding to shuffle over to me on his knees. His black shirt was hanging around his torso with loose shorts to match. They swayed as he shuffled over at an alarming pace. He didn’t slow down as he approached and barrelled into me with so much force that we both landed flat on the floor of blankets. His arms snaked around my waist as mine wrapped around his neck and our giggles subsided. We both lay there for a moment, just wrapped up together in this makeshift fort they had made. I closed my eyes to just breathe him in, letting his scent take over every power I had left.
“I missed you.” He breathed into my ear, making me shiver. I held him as close as I could.
“I missed you more.” He laughed again, shaking his head as he retreated from my neck.
“Not possible.” He flashed me that toothy grin, forcing one to appear on my face in return. He then began to pepper kisses all over my face.
“No, it’s true,” we heard Changbin’s voice from across the room, forcing us to pause. “He wouldn’t stop talking about you the whole time in America. Everytime we went somewhere ‘oh she would love this’ and ‘oh she’s always wanted to do this’ and eventually we had to start buying him stuff to give to you so he would shut up.” My mouth fell open, Chan not able to stop himself from the blush that reached his ears as he buried himself in my neck to withstand his brother’s teasing.
“Hey! You hush!” He turned back to me as Changbin shrugged, uttering ‘it’s true though’ under his breath as he continued to help Seungmin plug in the remaining cords. Chan turned his beet-red face back to face me.
“It is true. I have so much stuff they bought for me to give to you in my room.” That earned more giggles from the both of us as he moved off me. And now that the most important thing is over…
“So what’s with the blanket maze thing?” I asked the others, following Chan to where he was now sitting in front of the couch, his back against the cushions and legs open for me to sit between. Changbin and Seungmin were now engrossed in whatever game they were playing, leaving me to direct my questions to the chest I was now back-to-front with.
“Well…” He wrapped his arms around my waist in a show of comfort. I brought my hands up to encircle them, waiting for him to finish his thought. He sighed as Lee Know came bursting through the curtain, beads of sweat littering his flushed forehead as he darted past us into the two-foot tall entryway into the kitchen, Han hot on his tail and similarly flushed and sweating. Both were beaming. My eyes were wide as I watched them giggle and shout things like ‘you get back here!’ and ‘come and get me then!’ Felix and Hyunjin came next through the crawlspace, not quite as flushed but equally as giggly. They seemed engrossed in their conversation, snippets I could hear included ‘how long do you think we can keep it like this?’ and ‘if we add another sheet there, it could bend into there.’ I left them to it, trying to figure out what could have possibly spurred this late-night excursion.
“Is this what you get when you give Han and Felix too much caffeine?”
“And then hand them over to Hyunjin? Yes.” His arms grew tighter around me as I turned back to the TV, Seungmin crashing into a wall in the game that they were playing.
“Mental note made. Don’t. Do. That.” I slowly nodded. “And where is Jeongin?”
“Oh he ran out to get more blankets. No one can shop comfort better than him, except Felix. But he seemed… preoccupied. So Jeongin volunteered. He should be back any minute now.” He placed a gentle kiss to my head, sighing deeper into me. I closed my eyes, echoing his sigh, finding my own comfort for the first time in two weeks.
“Can you guys go canoodle elsewhere? You’re making Seungmin lose focus.” Changbin’s voice carried back to us sitting behind him, our laughter doubling as Seungmin protested.
“I am not! You just need something to blame for coming in last.”
That drew Changbin’s attention back to the screen, leaving us to resume our snuggling. Felix came back to where we were when he heard the familiar noise of video games and came to see what was happening, the rest of the boys close behind. The eight of us settled around the floor, piles of blankets everywhere and inviting a rest. Hyunjin grabbed a pillow off the couch to sit beside Chan, Felix mirroring my spot between Hyunjin’s legs.
“So, why the massive blanket fort? I haven’t been in one since I was a kid. I didn’t even think to make one as an adult.” I turned so Felix would hear me clearly
“We’re called Stray ‘Kids’” he replied, the ‘duh’ expression on his face replaced by his signature smile.
“Speak for yourself, I am a mature adult.” Seungmin somehow heard, as he always did. And of course, had a response ready. That didn’t mean said response wasn’t followed by an onslaught of pillows being thrown at him, causing him to crash in his game and leading to ‘game over’ being flashed on the screen. He grumbled further, eventually crawling back through the three-foot-high space to the kitchen to get a drink.
“Okay, I’ve got more blankets!” Jeongin’s voice came through the tunnels and soon his  blonde head appeared.
“Perfect! I want one!” Hyunjin, ever the glutton for comfort, grabbed the biggest blanket he could reach from Jeongin’s hands and fluffed it out over Felix and himself, tucking themselves in.
“Hey, wait for me!” Changbin scurried over to them and managed to snuggle himself into Felix’s lap, creating what had been known around the group as a
“CUDDLE PUDDLE!” Han dove for Changbin’s legs as Minho fell on top of him. Jeongin sighed as he scuttled away from said puddle as Han’s maniacal laughter began.
The rumbling against my back was my own proof of Chan’s love for the caffeine-driven affection from his members. His arms tightened even more around me.
“Thank you for being my dose of normalcy.” He whispered against my hair, kissing me again. I couldn’t help but chuckle.
“You’re just lucky you guys are so darn cute.” I placed my arms over his, squeezing them and relaxing further into his chest. I closed my eyes against the chaos happening around me, happy that my little family was finally home.

As a celebration of me reaching 769 followers, and getting my tongue pierced, here's a drabble. This is also kind of inspired by Taste, if you couldn't tell lmao.

Felix lifts his head, lips parted, a trail of saliva connecting his spit covered lips to the head of your dick, eyebrows furrowed and eyes squeezed shut as heavy and shaky breaths escape him. His brain is foggy, mind almost blank, the few thoughts he had only focused on the feeling of your tongue so deep inside him. The vibrations coming from your tongue really don't help him in his fucked out state.
Felix jolts forward and cries out a girlish high pitched moan when he feels your piercing hit his prostate directly. Your arms tighten around his trembling thighs as the grip your hands hold on his ass cheeks, spreading them apart, become much more firm; pulling him back towards you and keeping him in place.
You thrust your hips up, shoving your dick right back into his open mouth. It slips in easily, due to his constant drooling an previous face fucking leaving your cock covered in saliva. You hit the back of his throat and moan at the feeling of him gagging. The added vibration only make the coil in his stomach tighten.
Felix clenches around you, only causing your tongue ring to press right against his prostate and making more moans fall from his lips. You continue to thrust into his mouth, going faster with each moan that he let's out.
You don't even slow your thrusts even the slightest bit when you cum--it seems like you speed up even more. Of course, Felix swallows every drop he can. Why wouldn't he when you taste so good?
The sound of Felix's gagging seems to turn you on so much more, fueling you to make more quick and deep thrusts. Tears start to slip from his closed eyes, his throat burns, his thighs hurt, but he can't stop. He can't get enough. It's so addicting. The way you make him feel, the taste of you, the things you do to him, the way you treat him--everything. It always remind him of just how addicted he is to you.
It doesn't take much longer for Felix to feel the knot in his stomach to snap and his orgasm to wash over him. His back arches and his legs try to close, only to be stopped by your head.
You feel his release pool on your chest, causing you to slow and stop your thrusts. Once his orgasm has faded, you slowly pull out your tongue and shut off the piercing.
You grab onto Felix's waist and gently move him so he's laying down next to you before moving to sit up against the headboard. Felix opens his eyes when he feels you grab onto his waist once again. "Wh-What are you d-doing?"
You chuckle at his stutter and hoarse voice as you move him so he straddles you. "What, you didn't think we'd be done that fast, did you?" Felix gulps. "Since I did all the work just now, I think you should be a good boy and ride me. And don't forget to clean up your mess while you do."
You motion towards the cum still on your chest. Felix looks down at his release before his face breaks out in a dark flush. "B-But-"
"No buts," you cut him off, grabbing his hips and thrusting up into him. He sucks in a sharp breath at the sudden stretch as his eyes squeeze shut. "Now be a good little whore and do as I say."
Felix let's out a shaky breath as he lifts himself up before slowly sinking back down on your dick. He opens his eyes and looks up at you through his eyelashes before leaning down and licking up the cum on your chest. The new angle makes you able to see his cute little ass much better.
You can't help but chuckle at how Felix makes sure to lick up every drop of his cum. "Aren't you just such a good slut?"
Felix whines quietly, hands reaching out to grip at your shoulders as he pulls away from you chest. He looks up at you through his eyelashes--cheeks puffed out from being so full, almost making you groan at how innocent he looked dispite being in a not-so-innocent position. He had also stopped his movements at the same time.
You raise an eyebrow and smirk at him as you lean back and place your hands behind your head as a headrest. "Swallow. Every bit of it." He quickly obeys, and opens his mouth afterwards to show you. You let out a single chuckle. "Always such an eager thing, aren't you?"
Felix's face grows a light flush as he looks down, quickly realizing that he has stopped his movements. He rises up until only the tip remains inside him before quickly sinks back down. He throws his head back, eyes squeezing shut and lips parting in a breathy moan. "O-Only f-for you, Hyung. . ."

Husband SKZ Reaction To You Saying You Want A Divorce During An Argument
Tumblr media
Genre: husband!skz, angst
Warnings: arguments, yelling, mentions of divorce
A/N: Thanks for the request! Hope you like it. :) Sorry my requests are taking so long, but I try to do them between regular uploads and as I feel inspired. As always, I’m accepting SKZ reaction/MTL requests. Send me an ask.
Chan:
You and Chan rarely fought, but when you did it was almost always about him spending too much working and/or him not taking care of himself. He argued that 1). You knew what you were getting into when you married him 2). His work was important and he loved it almost as much as you. You, of course, understood, but found it difficult when he was constantly staying at the studio all night and canceling date nights.
When you finally said you wanted a divorce, he would freeze. His thoughts would be blocking his words like a flash flood. While it had been a fairly civil argument, he would bring the tone down even more.
“Baby, let’s talk about this, okay?” He was fairly certain you didn’t really want a divorce and if you did, he wanted to try and prove that he could be the husband you wanted and needed.
Minho:
You and Minho enjoyed bickering, but almost never had true arguments. However, after weeks of exhaustion and overwork for both of you, multiple small things built up and led to a fight. In the heat of the moment, you'd mention wanting a divorce under your breath.
Minho would quiet and just stare at you. He was trying to discern whether or not you actually meant it, especially since the fight was ultimately over unwashed dishes. He'd hug you once it is obvious you didn't truly mean it.
"You can't get rid of me that easily, babe."
Changbin:
You and Changbin did occasionally fight. It wasn't normally serious and ended quickly, but it happened often enough that when you said you wanted a divorce during one of them, he wondered if it was true. In his mind, you probably would be better off without him.
The two of you decided to take some time away from each other and eventually talk it over. You hadn't really meant it and had just said it due to emotions and wanting to hurt him. Still, Changbin was determined for you to never have to feel that way again.
"Let's forget about it," he said. "But, I'll make sure you never feel that way again."
Hyunjin:
Hyunjin has one of two reactions:
1). Sarcastic and dismissive
If Hyunjin is feeling particularly dramatic slighted, he will certainly not take your words seriously. If you say you want a divorce, he'll simply narrow your eyes and may even make a few mocking remarks. While the two of you do not fight like this often, when you do, both of you tend to be particularly cruel.
2). Apologetic
This is in the case where he knows he is in the wrong, or if the fight is over something objectively inconsequential. Hyunjin will nearly immediately apologize and cuddle you.
Jisung:
As soon as the words come out of your mouth cue the puppy eyes and chipmunk cheeks. Jisung--while he can be argumentative, especially when an argument breaks out naturally--ultimately wants to please and be enough for you.
It would immediately change his mood. However, even if he wants to pull you into his arms and tell you he's sorry, he needs time. Jisung needs to decompress and calm down before he can properly come back and talk. He'll worry endlessly that you meant it until you assure him that you'd just spit it out because you were frustrated.
Felix:
Out of all the members, it is least likely that an argument will even get to the point that you say you want a divorce. Depending on the context, I think Felix will either burst into tears right then and there, or remain stoic until he can be alone.
If the relationship isn't working, Felix will seriously consider your words and talk to you about it after clearing his head. If not, he'll know you didn't mean it without you even needing to say it.
Seungmin:
At first, he's quiet. It may come off as dismissive or cold, but after a few hours, he approaches you again and asks if you were serious. Seungmin knows you better than anyone and rarely ever doubted your intentions. So, when you tell him you didn't mean it, he's relieved.
Over the next few weeks, you may notice him paying more attention to you. Small touches on the small of your back, bringing home your favorite takeout from practice, and sending you cute filter selfies when the two of you are away from each other. It's both his way of apologizing and doing better.
Jeongin:
His first reaction is to laugh. Partially because he doesn't believe you and partially because he's scared that you are serious. When you stay silent after, his face will fall and he will ask if you're serious before approaching you gently and carefully. He'll hold you until the two of you feel more apt to talk about it.
The experience will scare him though. Luckily, you're well aware of his sometimes awkward reactions to things, or his subtle tsundere tendencies. You're able to talk it out and clear the air completely.

✰Bang Chan : August
"but I can see us lost in the memory, august slipped away in a moment of time, 'cause it was never mine and I can see us twisted in bedsheets, august sipped away like a bottle of wine,'cause you were never mine." "back when we were still changin' for the better, wanting was enough for me it was enough. To live for the hope of it all, cancel plans in case you call, meet me behind the mall, so much for summer love and saying us 'cause you weren't mine to lose"
✰ Lee Know : Champagne Problems
"your midas touch on the chevy door, november flush and the flannel cure, "this dorm was once a madhouse" i made a joke, "well, it's made for me". How evergreen our group of friends, don't think we'll say that word again and soon they'll have the nerve to deck the hall that we once walked through. One for the money, two for the show, i never was ready so i watched you go" "and hold your hand while dancing, never leave you standing, crestfallen on the landing with champagne problems. Your mom's ring in your pocket, her picture in your wallet, you won't remember all my champagne problems"
✰ Changbin : Right where you left me
"you left me no choice but to stay here forever" "did you hear about the girl who got frozen? Time went on for everyone else, she won't know it. She's still 23 inside her fantasy, how it was supposed to be. Did you hear about the girl who lives in delusion? Breakups happen everyday, you don't have to lose it, she's still 23 in her fantasy and you're sitting in front of me" " 'Cause I'm right where. I cause no harm, mind my own business, if our love died young, I can't bear witness and it's been so long but if you ever thing you got it wrong, I'm right where you left me"
✰ Hyunjin : Hoax
"stood on the cliffside screaming, "give me a reason", your faithless love's the only hoax I believe in. Don't want no other shade of blue, but you no other sadness in the world would do" "You know I left a part of me back in New York You knew the hero died, so what's the movie for? You knew it still hurts underneath my scars from when they pulled me apart, you knew the password, so I let you in the door, you knew you won, so what's the point of keeping score? You knew it still hurts underneath my scars from when they pulled me apart but what you did was just as dark, darling, this was just as hard as when they pulled me apart"
✰ Han : Cardigan
"and when i felt like an old cardigan, under someone's bed, you put me on and said i was favourite" "to kiss in cars in downtown bars was all it needed, you drew stars around my scars but now I'm bleeding, 'Cause I knew you steppin' on the last train marked me like a bloodstain, I, I knew you tried to change the ending, peter losing wendy, I, I knew you leaving like a father, running like water" "but i knew you'd linger like a tattooed kiss, i knew you'd haunt all my what if's" "Cause I knew everything when i was young, i knew you'd miss me once the thrill expired and you'd be standing in my front porch light and I knew you'd come back to me"
✰ Felix : Back to December
"realized i loved you in fall and then the cold came, the dark days. When fear crept in my mind you gave me all your love, and all i gave you was goodbye" "So this is me swallowing my pride, standing in front of you saying sorry for that night and I go back to december all the time" "i miss your tan skin, you sweet smile, so good to me, so right and how you held be that september night, first time you ever saw me cry" "maybe this is wishful thinking, probably mindless dreaming. But if we loved again, I'd love you right, I'd go back in time and change it but i can't, so if the chain is on your door I understand."
✰ Seungmin : All too well
"we were always skipping town, and i was thinking on the drive down "any time now, he's gonna say it's love", you never called what it was, 'til we were dead and gone and buried. Check the pulse and come back swearin' it's all the same, after three months in the grave and then wondered where it went to as I reached for you but all I felt was shame and you held my lifeless frame" "and maybe we got lost in translation and maybe i asked for too much, and maybe this thing was a masterpiece 'til you tore it all up, running scared, I was there, I remember it all too well" "and you call me up again just to break me like a promise, so casually cruel in the nane if being honest, I'm a crumbled up piece of paper lyin' here, 'cause i remember it all"
✰ I.N : My tears ricochet
"even on my worst day, did i deserve it babe, all the hell you gave me? 'Cause I loved you, I swear I loved you 'til my dying day" "and if I'm dead to you, why are you at the wake? Cursing my name, wishing I stayed" "you know, I didn't want to haunt you but what a ghostly scene, you wear the same jewels i gave you as you bury me" "and you can aim for my heart, go for my blood, but yu would still miss me in your bones, and i talk to you when I'm screaming at the sky, and when you can't sleep at night you hear my stolen lullabies" "and you're tossing out blame, drunk on this pain crossing out the good years and you're cursing my name, wish I stayed, look at my tears ricochet"

Chapter Two
Chris’s POV
After school, the boys and I head over to our spot. Spotting Jamie, I sigh. I can tell Changbin feels my mood because he walks in front of me, meeting face to face with Jamie.
"What the fuck do you want?" Changbin says aggressively, making Jamie chuckle. That druggy shouldn't even be here, he could fuck up the season or worse.
"Oh, daddy didn't tell you? I'm a dealer now and you guys are supposed to add me in your little group. How exciting! So where did you park? We should get to the rink." He says with a stupid smirk on his face.
Of course that bastard went to my dad, now he can get anything he wants. I roll my eyes and start walking to my car. Felix gives me a confused look and I just shrug my shoulders. I can't do anything if someone brought my dad into this. All of us hop into my truck and head to the rink.
Once we get to the rink, Jamie jumps out and pulls out a box. I shake my head before I become a part of this. The boys follow me to the changing room. They have questions and I know it, but I have so many myself. My dad doesn't let me in on all that anymore. I get dressed as fast as I can to hopefully give the boys the hint that I don't want to talk about this, and thankfully they do. When we all finish, we make our way to the bleachers.
"This season is going to be a great one with me as a captain, don't you think? Oh, and I guess with the help of co-captain, Christopher," Minho jokingly says, jabbing at me with his elbow. We arrived earlier than I thought, since the girls were still practicing. Not that I mind, it's a nice view.
"Alex just looks better and better everyday," Hyunjin says sitting down in front of me getting his skates on.
"Damn, yeah, I would tap that," Han says while sitting down next to me. We all look at the rink and he's right, Alex is improving and she looks beautiful as ever she makes you just fall in a trance.
"She has to come here and practice a lot, she is mesmerizing." Grabbing my water and looking around, I see my cousin and wave at her while she smiles back, then goes back to her drawing book.
"I mean, if I had parents like hers I'd always be here practicing too." We all look over and see Tina looking right at me with those heart eyes and I instantly get annoyed. I pray that the girls’ practice hurries up so I can go and practice and get away from her. It seems my prayers were answered because the girls’ coach blew her whistle. As soon as I heard that, I ran to the rink and put my skates on, deciding the boys were taking too long. I start to just skate around with my stick in my hand. I then feel a gentle tap on my shoulder making me turn around. I am faced with the girl who has seemed to be on not only my mind, but my friends’ minds as well.
"Hey umm Chris. Sorry to disturb you," Alex says shyly, looking down at her skates. Her nervousness is adorable and not something I am used to. I like this side of her, cute and sweet, different from her confident, loud self.
"Don't be sorry Alex, you're fine. What's up?" I say with a teasing smile, which makes her blush and look back to her fidgeting hands.
"I was wondering if you'd like… only if you would like too - I mean, you don't have to-" I place my hands on her shoulders to help her relax.
"Hey, relax Alex," I chuckle, rubbing her shoulder with my thumb.  I don't know why she is like this but I like it and think it would be a little fun to tease her a bit.
"If I'd like to, what?" I smile and start to skate around her with a big smile on my face. For a second I forget that there is a rink filled with a bunch of boys and girls.
"Ha, yeah sorry. I was wondering if I could have your phone number for our project of course." She looks over trying to hide her blush but I caught it.
"Oh yeah, that would be a good idea, wouldn't it? ' Nervously, I scratch the back of my neck and we both skate over to her bag and she hands me her phone while she takes off her skates.
"You know, you have some great moves out there. Have you gotten a call from the Olympics yet?" I say giving her phone back, she laughs but then gives me a sweet smile as she puts her shoes on.
"Oh, umm, thanks Chris. You're not bad yourself. With you and Minho as co-captains, we are for sure going to the finals." I smile looking at the rink to see the boys and my cousin looking over at us, giving me confidence.
"Thanks. You should go to our game on Friday and cheer m-"
"Alexa!" I was cut off by her dad yelling for her, making everyone look at us. We make eye contact and I can see the sadness and annoyance in her eyes. We broke contact when her dad called her name again.
"OH! Gosh I'm so sorry. I got to go but I'll text you when we should meet up. Also I'd love to go to your game. Bye Chris." Alex waves, grabbing her bag and telling Chantel ‘bye,’ giving her a hug. Watching her, I smile excited to get a text from her. I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a thump on the back of my head. Turning around to yell at whoever has the balls to hit me, I am met with all the boys giving me weird looks and kissy faces. I look at Alex one last time before I make my way to the boys in the middle of the rink.
"Dude your father would kill you if he sees you with Alexa. You know how he feels about her family," Changbin says, making me roll my eyes. My dad doesn't care anymore, it's more so her dad to worry about. But it's not like we actually will end up together, or that there are feelings to begin with. Right, I don't like her. She's like family, she's my cousin's best friend, that would just be weird. I mean, I know it's not as bad because it's just my cousin. Ugh, I thinking about this too much.
"Yeah man, a Tibbits is a no no." Hyunjin comes out of nowhere standing next to the rest of the boys.
"Well he's going to have to deal with it for a while. We are working on a project together. That's it guys, nothing more." I say before taking a drink of water.
"Sure, we saw the way you guys were looking at each other all googly eyed," Minho says while making kissy faces and noises as the others laugh.
"Hey, look, the rest of the team is here, we should start," I say pointing to our couch and the rest of the team walking out to the rink. I let out a sigh of relief when they all moved their attention to the others making their way to us in the middle of the rink.

Stray Kids reaction to walking in on you twerking.
Bangchan: His eyes widen as he's stopped in his tracks once he walks into the living room. He leans against the wall of the hallway, arms crossed as his eyes follow the way your ass bounces to the rhythm of the music. He licks his lips admiring the way your body jiggled in front of him. Suddenly you turn around catching Chris off guard causing him to stumble and stutter before you even say anything. "I wasn't watching" he panics. But he rushes to you with red ears and a dimpled smile, the moment you call him over to sit in front of you.
Lee know: Chuckles under his breath as he stands in the door way of your bedroom. "You can do better than that" He speaks from behind you snapping your attention to him. You argue you were just listening to Megan Thee Stallion and having fun. "With all of that ass I still expect better" he stares you down. "Now" he smacks your behind and says "Do better" with a smirk on his lips.
Changbin: A half smirk spreads across his face as he walks into the living room. He slinks into the closest chair to you, his hand rests on his chin as he eyes the way your body moves. Admiring how much it bounces and jiggle. Suddenly you stop and turn to him. "Don't stop because of me" he sat back, spreading his legs and tapping his lap. "Continue for me"
Hyunjin: His jaw dropped the moment he stepped into your room. He looked back into the hallway to see if anyone was walking by. He scanned you up and down unaware what to do with himself. As your body moved in ways he couldn't even imagine. You looked so soft and touchable, Hyunjin's mind went haywire. Contrary to the song you were dancing to he didn't have to wait to see it from the back. He saw everything he needed to see. His teeth sunk into his bottom lip as he watched you attentively. The song changed and a pout formed on his lips as you began to slow down. When you sang along to "thick in the thigh. Thick in the waist, thick in the right motherfuckin places" he audibly agreed "Yeah, you are" with an exasperated sigh. Pulling your attention to him. You asked if he wanted to join you and he stood to his feet with no hesitation as he got a little too close to the part of your body his eyes were entranced by.
Han: He stopped in his tracks and looked around the living room and kitchen checking if anyone else was there. Once the coast was clear he quietly sat on the floor. His chin resting in his hands his excited eyes darted back and forth captivated by the way your body bounced up and down, side to side, and in a circle. He was mesmerized by how the smallest movements caused you to shake. He was unaware he was crawling toward you until you turned around to see him just at your feet. He immediately stood and yelled 'I can explain" then with his head hung low he said "I'm a naughty boy"
Felix: "Look at you" Felix immediately said as he walked into your bedroom. You turned to look back at him as he closed the door behind him. "Oh don't stop because of him. Please don't stop" He looked your full figured body up and down as you stood there in short shorts and a bralette as My Type by Saweetie played loudly in the background. You happily continued as Felix sat at the edge of your bed. He licked his lips as you bent over in front of him. He tilted his head to see how just moving your thighs also caused your ass to shake. He felt hypnotized at the way you threw it in a circle just in arms length. "C..can I touch myself?" Felix asked softly as he reached for the waist band of his sweat pants. You tell him it would delight you if he did so. "Tell me to" he begged. "Touch yourself Felix, you clearly can't control yourself. Touch yourself for me" Your words were like music to his ears as his hand shot straight into his boxers.
Seungmin: He watched you for a few seconds before he started copying every movement you made. He tried to figure out how you moved like that. He figured the fact you had five times more ass then him was the main factor. He couldn't grasp how you were able to keep momentum when you dropped it low. "How does she do that" left his lips causing you to look at him. "Do you want me to show you?" you walk over to him. "Please" he allows you to pull him to the couch. He learns absolutely nothing but enjoys the veiw.
Jeongin: His eyes widen as he opens your bedroom door as he saw you bent over as the lyrics "I'll pull it to the side for a Benz" played from your speakers. "so this is what you do in your free time?" Jeongin said with a mischievous grin as he walked into your room. "And what if it is?" You reply back as he gets closer. "Then you shouldn't do it without me." He smirked in your face. You turned around and danced against him. He was taken aback by how he could feel how soft and plush your ass is through his thin sweatpants. The confidence he walked in with, fell the moment his knees buckled and he landed on your bed with a flush face and goofy grin.

[ voicemail / hwang hyunjin ]
a (incomplete) collection of voicemails on a phone that hasn't been charged for over a year. // if i could have this entire thing in italics i would but i won't. anyways, something a bit different imo. idk how i feel about it tho yikes
warnings: implied reader death; please do not read if that will potentially put you in a bad mindset. ; alcohol
wc: 1.3k
[ 11:23am ]
"hey, y/n. it's me. i know you probably won't hear these-"
an exhaled breath of laughter.
"'probably'? i know you won't. you never used to check your voicemails, anyway, but- but now you really never will."
silence, and then muffled cursing.
"i knew this was a stupid idea."
beep.
[ 07:56pm ]
silence.
"...i'm going to pretend like you'll hear this and reply."
a deep breath.
"hey, how are you? i've miss- i've missed you. we should catch up-"
inhale, exhale.
"i stopped by felix's yesterday. he's even better at baking now than he was the last time i saw him - and i know i see him a lot, but it's like he gets better every day. he made these really nice cookies. crunchy on the outside, but they're... all soft in the middle. you would have loved them. he gave me a while box to bring home - a bit too much for one person, i think, but you know how he is. always giving things to others. remember how we used to joke that he's almost like a grandmother in that way? or an aunty? the one that keeps on feeding the kids? god, that joke started years ago. when we first met, i think. and he's still like that. i guess some people don't change."
a soft laugh.
"i wonder, sometimes, if i've changed. i mean, i know i probably have, but i wonder how noticeable it is. how much have i changed, since i met you? since we started dating? how much have i changed since you- ... since it happened?"
silence.
beep.
[ 03:41pm ]
"i came home and there was a parcel at the door. it has your name on it, but i don't know what it is, so i thought i would... do a live unboxing, i guess."
the sound of plastic, and then grunting and tearing.
"what the hell, why was that bag so tough to open? if i kept my shoes in there, maybe kkami wouldn't bite them... anyways, the parcel inside is wrapped in bubble wrap, but it looks blue. the object, not the bubble wrap. wait, let me get scissors- oh, never mind."
the sound of tape being torn off.
"you know, i used to think you were so annoying with bubblewrap everytime we got something. you'd keep it and say it was so you could use it if you needed to wrap something safely, but then i'd find you popping it while you studied."
a laugh.
"anyways, i'm unwrapping the bubblewrap, and- oh."
a pause, and then a gulp. the sound of a light metal dragging across the floor. a sigh.
"it's a collar for kkami. its really cute, y/n. you chose a good one. i'm sure kkami'll love it."
beep.
[ 03:57pm ; same day ]
"i just. i think it's a little cruel that orders are still sent and delivered to people who have already passed away. isn't that a little... messed up? it's like-"
his voice breaks.
"it's like the world is reminding me that you were alive, and it's not that i want to forget you and move on - i don't think i ever could, y/n. you were so good and you were just- just this unbelievably bright light in my life, and for the world to keep reminding me that you were here but you won't ever be here again is so fucking cruel."
beep.
[ 01:23am ]
"y/n, angel."
a pause, rustling of the sheets. his voice is whispered.
"i miss calling you that. i miss saying your name. seeing if you're home. asking where you're going, why you're leaving the bed when the sun isn't up. i miss sleeping next to you. i miss your stupid legs kicking me. i even miss having to pull the blanket back from you - can you believe that?"
a deep exhale.
"i haven't been able to sleep. i keep thinking about the last time i saw you, but- but i can't even remember what day that was. i can't even remember if i told you i loved you that day. i hope i did."
a shakey inhale.
"i have work tomorrow. i'll call you again soon. i love you."
a sniffle.
beep.
[ 10:19pm ]
"y/n? hi. hello. it's hyunjin!"
his voice is slightly slurred. he sniffles.
"y'know what today is? of course you do - it's your birthday! happy birthday! I got your favourite cake from that bakery you liked, today. and a candle. and i blew them out for you, because, y'know, you can't. and then felix came over for chicken, and we had a few drinks. he went to get some snacks, so he's not here right now. it's just us."
there's a few gulps, and the sound of something being placed back on the table.
"yesterday, i thought i would be able to cope with today. i'd celebrate your birthday with the cake, and then go to sleep, but..."
a sad, tired sigh.
"i started remembering again. remembering you. how we used to have late night snakes and watch movies. how we were in our own little world, at night. just you and me. you and me. us. i miss us. i miss you. i still can't believe that you- it was just a normal day, and then suddenly- why, y/n? why you? why did- why won't anyone help me understand why this is so hard?!"
deep breaths can be heard, but they sound forced.
"you know, it's so stupid to talk to a phone! i'm- i'm talking to a phone every second day, and its so stupid and i know you would want me to move on, but i can't-"
loud banging in the background can be heard, and a voice calling out hyunjin's name.
"ah, felix!"
"hyunjin, what the hell man? how much did you-"
"be quiet! I'm talking to y/n-"
"you're-"
the voice is in disbelief.
"give me that-"
"fuck off, i'm fine-"
"fine my ass!"
the sound of clattering and yelling; hyunjin seems to be in distress, arguing against new voice. the sound of footsteps approach, and then-
beep.
[ 08:21pm ]
"...i haven't done this in so long, it feels so weird now."
a moment of silence. traffic can be faintly heard in the distant.
"hey, y/n. it's me again. sorry i haven't called in... in months. i think it's been almost a whole year since i last called. you might be wondering if i've moved on, yet, but i don't think i can answer that question. not now, anyways. but that's why i'm calling- or, leaving this message.
"i moved out of our apartment. i got a new apartment, and it's only twenty minutes away, but it feels... different. not that i'm trying to forget you, but it feels like it can be a new start, you know? the sunset is really nice, here. it's a small apartment, so most of the main area is orange when the sun sets. it's really nice. there's also a spare bedroom, but i'm using it as a studio. it's got a window, so it'll help circulate the fumes out.
"um.. what else? oh, right. i've also been seeing a therapist. i think it's helped a lot. of course, i still have days where i just- where i just feel like i can't do this, and i just miss you so much that it hurts... but there are good days. lots of them."
hyunjin pauses, as if to let the thought settle.
"i don't know when i'll call again. i don't know if i'll call again. a lot has happened. i'll tell you all of it, bit by bit, over time. i just... wanted you to know that i'm doing better. that i still miss you, and that i love you, always, okay?"
there's a silence, bittersweetness alleviated by a sigh.
"okay. that's all. i'll visit you soon. i love you, y/n."
beep.

Lucky Felix
Isaac Cooper x Felix McLaggen (OC)
Tumblr media
Tags: explicit | handjobs | anal sex
2k words
Summary: After winning the Quidditch house cup, Isaac lets off some steam with his teammate.
A/n: Even though like three people are gonna read this, I couldn't help it. I ship them SO HARD. The legendary Isaac Cooper has been adopted by @slytherin-paramour (I hope I did him justice) and Felix McLaggen is my OC. The two hottest chasers the Gryffindor Quidditch team has ever seen. I've been enjoying roleplaying him so much!
"Gryffindor! Gryffindor!"
The chants followed the team off the pitch as Madam Kogawa blew her shrill whistle, barking at their housemates to leave the team be, and that no, parties were not permitted in the stadium changing rooms. There would be time for revelling when the victors returned to their common room later, no doubt with smuggled crates of alcohol and perhaps a little mallowsweet passed around if they were lucky.
The entire team was buzzing, Oscar was just a copper blur as he whizzed around the changing room, patting every one of his teammates on the back. Jamie was so awestruck he simply sat on a bench with a grin plastered on his face in disbelief. Isaac, though…he clutched the trophy so tightly it was a wonder the metal hadn't crumpled under his strong grip. His dark hair, so usually pristine off the pitch, was now a windswept mess much like Felix's own, but it looked so much better on him.
"What are you staring at?"
The question came as a surprise, and Felix realise that yes, he'd been staring.
"Just…I can't fucking believe it!" he replied, breaking into a grin.
"Should've had more faith in your captain, McLaggen."
Felix laughed as Isaac held out the trophy, nodding his head towards his outstretched hand.
"Take it."
He did, wrapping his still-gloved hand around the delicate gold handle. His heart skipped a beat as he felt the cup pull, and for a terrifying second he thought the trophy had been a portkey. Instead of hurtling into oblivion, Felix found himself hurtling towards Isaac as he yanked him towards his outstretched arms. With a round of laughter, Isaac slapped him on the back, his hand lingering on Felix's sore muscles. What he'd give for a firm massage about now.
The elation turned quickly into something much more intense as he was wrapped up in Isaac's arms, the musky scent of victory mixed with his aftershave causing Felix's head to spin and loins to stir. He had to get this under control. Pulling his gaze away from the dark haired chaser, he glanced over at Oscar, who was busy pulling off his gloves and looking right at him. He seemed to know something Felix didn't, as he only offered a nod and a smile before his legs were taking him out of the sweaty room. He was being led, or rather dragged by Isaac, both still clutching the cup.
"Where we going, mate? I need to take a shower before the party…"
Isaac answered the question by stopping his retreat in the tunnel and turning his attention to Felix with a dark gaze he knew all too well. He'd seen it being used countless times on dozens of witches and wizards, the old Cooper charm now directed at him. He couldn't deny how much he'd wanted this as his captain pinned him against the wall of the stands with a strength that made his tired knees even weaker, but he'd hoped beyond all hope that if the time ever came to kiss Isaac, it wouldn't just be driven by some post-match euphoria.
As his warm breath tickled his cheek, Felix almost contemplated asking him to stop, until his lips crashed into his and all thoughts evaporated from his mind. Vaguely aware of wolf whistles and interested mutterings, he tuned out every sound except Isaac's heavy breathing and quiet moans as their tongues made battle and hands grabbed at each other's dirty, sweat-stained uniforms.
This was really happening, and there was nothing Felix could do to stop it. His body yearned for him an Isaac was simply too convincing, too strong-willed. He always got what he wanted, and tonight, he wanted Felix.
The stumble back to their dormitory was the longest of his life, making no attempt at subtlety—everyone knew Isaac's reputation, why would he hide it? Felix was another notch on his bedpost, of which there were many. The two adrenaline-fueled boys peeled each others clothes off the moment the door closed behind them, revealing nothing new except their very obvious arousal. Countless times they'd seen each other in the showers or getting changed after a match, but Felix had always managed to hide how much he enjoyed his teammate's body, shamefully pumping himself under the running water whilst he imagined what it would be like to hold himself against him.
His wish was about to be granted as Isaac guided Felix by the hips onto his bed, laying him back with a low growl that stirred something deep inside him as his cock throbbed painfully with need. What the fuck was happening, he had no idea, but he wasn't about to question it. His mind was addled with lust as he looked up into those piercing eyes framed by dark strands of damp hair that drew Felix's hand upwards.  Fingers tangled in his hair as Isaac straddled his thighs, burying his face against Felix's neck with another salacious moan.
His heart hammered in his chest as Isaac ripped his hands out of his hair, bringing them above his head on the bed in one swift movement. He felt the boy smirk against his neck at Felix's gasp, his body lowering onto him to press every bare inch of glistening skin together. Every conquest of Isaac's flashed through Felix's mind and he felt his body falter, until Isaac whispered in his ear.
"Don't fall asleep on me now, McLaggen," he said with a grind of his hips.
Their erections rubbed almost painfully against each other, eased by the slick now leaking from both tips.
"Fuck…"
He wasn't used to giving over control, the impulse to roll Isaac over underneath him only thwarted by just how strong the other boy was. Felix had his wrists pinned against the mattress, his tired muscles twitching in protest and powerless to fight against his restraint. Isaac continued his trail of stinging kisses down his neck, the sharp suction sure to leave a bruising reminder of the boy's latest sexual encounter. Felix's hips had a mind of their own as he arched into Isaac's rhythmic grinding, his moans now coming thick and fast as he lost the last of his inhibitions.
He wanted to reach down and touch him, feel his hand wrapped around Isaac's thick cock, make him moan. But his hands were useless, only his words able to convey his desires.
"Let me go, Isaac," he said, more sternly than he'd intended.
The dark haired boy retreated from his neck, flashing a devilish grin down at him whilst his hands tightened around Felix's wrists.
"What'll you do if I let you go?"
"Touch your cock. That's what you want, isn't it?"
"I want a lot more than that," Isaac replied, but his fingers loosened, the blood draining back into Felix's hands and making them tingle.
Isaac sat up, allowing Felix to see him in all his glory, his eyes immediately falling to his hard length as his hand followed. Isaac let out a low, rumbling groan as Felix wrapped his hand around him, spreading the precum across the head with his thumb. Before he could start moving, Isaac had his own hand around Felix, his grip tight and not at all hesitant. They looked into each other's eyes, daring the other to move, and they did with slow, mirrored strokes as their hands and cocks brushed together.
Everything about it felt taboo, but that made it all the more exhilarating. The two friends caressed each other, spare hands roaming over their naked bodies as they didn't once look away in shame. Felix's breath grew ragged as he tried to control the urge to finish, made even harder by Isaac's constant muttering about how fucking good he felt.
"Isaac…"
The sigh left his mouth before he could stop it, head hazy from pleasure he took a second to realise that Isaac had stopped moving his hand. Felix frowned at him questioningly and the boy smirked, unwrapping his fingers and giving his hip a squeeze.
"Turn over."
Oh.
Releasing Isaac's cock, Felix rolled over on the bed, shuffling to get comfortable as Isaac's hands roamed the knots around his shoulders. Felix groaned as he began to massage him, relishing in the firm pressure that released the tension across his back, along with the constant prod against his arse. Once Isaac reached that particular area, Felix felt his cheeks part as his cock slid between them and he gripped the bed sheet tightly and groaned. He was so wound up and desperate for his friend's cock he contemplated begging, but he let him take his sweet time exploring his body, sighing with relief when Isaac finally probed warm, wet fingers into his entrance.
This wasn't his first rodeo, having various fumblings with older boys during his sixth year—he calmed his mind and his body followed, relaxing around Isaac's fingers as they slid into his arse with the help of a lubricant. It didn't take long to work him up to three fingers, the constant teasing of his prostate causing him to squirm and moan, seeking more.
"Isaac, please just fuck me already," he finally demanded.
The boy chuckled, smacking him hard on the arse befofe pulling his hips up to guide him into a kneeling position. He pulled his fingers out, immediately replaced by the press of the much thicker tip of his cock that made Felix's head spin. He'd never wanted anything quite as much as he wanted that girthy length buried deep inside him.
"C'mon…," he groaned.
Isaac pulled his hips back, impaling him as they both produced ear shattering moans that were sure to be heard downstairs in the common room. Felix had never felt anything so good in his life as when Isaac started to fuck him, slow and gentle but ramping up in intensity with every thrust as they lost themselves in the pleasure. He hit every spot just right, pummelling Felix into the mattress as his fingers worked bruises into his hips.
"Fuck, such a good boy taking me all, Fee," Isaac praised between heavy pants.
"H-harder…"
Isaac growled and bent over him, one hand bracing against the bed as he did as requested, fucking him hard and fast until Felix could barely form a coherent thought. He was only vaguely aware of the door opening, his bleary eyes making out a blur of copper that halted in the doorway.
"What the fuck…"
"Get out of here!"
Isaac didn't stop his thrusting, even as the horrified face of Oscar Weasley backed out of the room. Felix didn't want him to stop, he was close, so close…
"I'm gonna…"
"Yeah? Come for me," Isaac demanded.
With a strangled moan, Felix came hard, his body convulsing, hands and feet tingling as his cock leaked a stream onto the mattress below him. Seconds, minutes or hours elapsed as he whimpered into the mattress, wave upon wave of pleasure crashing down over him as Isaac continued to fuck him, chasing his own release.
"You've made such a…mess…," Isaac chuckled, the strain in his voice indicating he was nearly there.
Felix began to wriggle against him, overstimulation setting in until without warning, Felix felt a sharp tug backwards as Isaac pulled out of him and the subsequent wet splash on his skin as he came all over his back.
"Fee…Fee…shit…"
Isaac gasped his name with every pump of his hand, every last drop of his cum leaking onto Felix's limp and shaking body. The mattress dipped as Isaac collapsed onto the bed next to him, meeting his eyes once again with a satisfied grin spread across his face. Felix returned the smile before the pang of painful longing settled in his chest. He couldn't say no to those sparkling eyes, even if it cost him heartache.
