Lol I have very specific opinions on this right now that you have asked.

My cousin has type 1 diabetes and the way he acts I feel is much more Lo'ak-core than Spider-core. Basically he will just refuse to check his blood sugar until we all get frustrated and tell him to just die about it then. Just sulking in the back of the car and you hear the beeps from his pump meaning he should check and his ass will just pretend he didn't hear anything. He usually checks when you aren't looking he just doesn't want you to know if he's good or not. I feel like Lo'ak would ~torture~ Neteyam like this. Neteyam is BEGGING to know Lo'ak's blood sugar. Lo'ak will die before he coughs up that info.

Anyways sorry that was NOT what you asked anon but this is what came to me skskksks. But I like the hc, I don't have any strong opinions on it.
