haikyuu boys: how you met <3
this includes hinata, kageyama, sawamura, sugawara, kuroo, tsukishima, and kenma. let me know if you want any more added and i'll do a part two! this is also going up on my wattpad under the same username ^^
Tumblr media
shoyo hinata
you were a distance runner on the karasuno track team. when the gym had a leak, coach ukai told the volleyball club to take a beach trip and play beach volleyball instead as a fun activity. when the team reached the beach, they realized the track team was having a bit of a beach hangout to celebrate their successful season. at first you weren't with the group, out jogging on the shoreline. after a few minutes you came back, having ran to the pier and turned around.
while tobio spiked a ball to him, shoyo had been put off by the sand in his shoes and missed the ball. chasing after it, he grabbed it... only to realize the ball had rolled right to your feet.
"oh, sorry!" he apologized for getting in your personal space. you assured him it was fine and told him that he was good at volleyball. "why don't you watch me for a bit?" and so you did, tanning on your beach towel and listening to spotify while you watched a ginger play volleyball.
Tumblr media
tobio kageyama
tobio wasn't the most studious guy. he struggled in school, particularly in english. it wasn't his native language, so why was he required to learn it? "kageyama. if you don't stop failing your exams, you're not going to pass the first year." his counsellor warned. tobio's eyes widened. not passing first year would mean he would be cut from the volleyball team. he opened his mouth to say something before his counsellor interrupted him.
"i know volleyball is important to you, so i've gotten you a tutor so she can help you on your days off. she's the top in your year." damn, he had to have a tutor and it's a girl? how much worse could this get?
he soon found out that it could get much worse.
"yeah, but why are they spelled the same if they mean different things?" he groaned, staring up at you. you sighed. he was quite stubborn, and refused to listen to a word you say.
"look," you started, "my goal is to get you to pass english. try and work with me here."
he glared at you. this would be the start of quite the entertaining relationship.
Tumblr media
daichi sawamura
it started one day when you ran into the gym to talk to kiyoko, the manager. you were rosy-cheeked, with pom-poms shoved under one arm and a glittery bow in your hair. you had a cheer uniform on, identifiable by the short skirt and tight top.
daichi didn't pay much attention to you at first, but when he glanced over to see what the giggling was about, he dropped the volleyball.
"who's that?" he asked koshi sugawara, his co-captain.
koshi smiled. "that's (y/n). she's the captain of the cheer team. kiyoko-san is her best friend." he said politely.
"oh." was all daichi had to say. he was starstruck by the cheerful look on your face and the way you laughed. he hated to admit it, but he was disappointed when you dashed back out of the gym.
Tumblr media
koshi sugawara
koshi and you had been friends ever since he moved next to you in kindergarten. you had a treehouse in your backyard, and once you became friends you had your parents attach a second ladder that dropped down into koshi's backyard so he could climb up.
"(y/n), i brought snacks from my kitchen!" koshi would exclaim every time you guys hung out after school. he loved the way your face would brighten up when he brought snacks or a game to play.
"let's play knights and princesses, (y/n)." he suggests one day.
"who's gonna be the dragon?" you questioned, seeing as that was how that game worked.
"uhh... i could get my little brother to be the dragon." koshi replied, looking at the knight helmet he had brought up from his room.
"okay!" you agreed, and put on a plastic tiara.
from then on, you were his princess.
Tumblr media
tetsuro kuroo
stuck-up on the court and friendly on the streets, tetsuro wasn't the type to even go looking for a girl. he'd rather let them chase after him, which they had all been doing.
except for you, of course. you didn't even spare him so much as a glance. he stared into the back of your head in class, asked your friends about you, with no response.
it was getting annoying how you wouldn't pay attention to him, and frustrating how much he wanted it. it was starting to affect his schoolwork, even.
his eye twitched as you laughed and talked with your friends, careless about the volleyball captain's feelings.
"hey, (y/n)." tetsuro called out, giving up and just asking for attention. "did you do the notes?" he asked after, coming up with a reason to talk to you.
"oh, yeah." you said calmly.
"can i copy them?" he asked. he had already done his own notes, but...
"sure." you handed him your notebook. "bring it back to me tomorrow, k?" then you skipped off with your friends, ignoring when they teased you about him wanting your attention.
he opened the notebook and stared at the handwriting on the page. it was neat and bubbly, with doodles on the edges and all through the paper. dang it, even your notes were cute.
Tumblr media
kei tsukishima
it was absolutely stupid how the second you walked through the door all eyes were on you. it was dumb how every guy thought about how cute you were all the damn time. it was definitely ridiculous how rosy your cheeks were and how you always seemed to trip over stuff. how short you were. how you always skipped through the halls. how you always gave that closed-eye smile when you were happy. it was all stupid.
kei hated that he wanted to talk to you so badly. he never thought he'd ever be interested in a girl, let alone one as popular and extroverted as you.
"do you have a pencil i can borrow?" his thoughts were interrupted by a soft voice. (y/n).
"uh, yeah." he handed her a pencil, slightly flustered that you had asked him of all people for a pencil.
"it's just a pencil. don't freak out." kei muttered to himself, trying to calm his racing heart. this was so dumb.
after class, you walked up to return the pencil to him. "thanks for letting me borrow it. hey, your name is tsukishima-kun, right?" you said with a warm smile.
damn it.
Tumblr media
kenma kosuke
in reality, he thought you were annoying. always talking, always laughing and smiling. what a bother.
[hey] he typed out in a message to an online friend he had met. this person was quite interesting and had a sense of humor, even though her username was ridiculous. it was something like theOGbackyardigans or whatever.
[hey beautiful roblox boyfriend <3 ] she typed back, adding hearts at the end. kenma snorted to himself. dumbass.
[whats up minecraft girlfriend] he hit send, before shutting off his phone and heading to practice. this girl he met on a video game was the only person he'd ever had that much fun talking to.
hey y'all thanks for popping in! send in some requests if you want <3 i'd love to make themmm

one shots & drabbles and i can't make you stay (in this broken place) — ( nsfw )  i sin too much to pray for you — no one can believe that one of the most powerful crime lords in the underground world of japan, atsumu miya, is wrapped around the finger of a naive girl like you, but love doesn’t really care about boundaries anyway. take care of you — ( nsfw ) atsumu just wants to give you everything he can offer: an easy job, a brand new car, a baby… wanting was enough (for me, it was enough) — ( sfw ) "He carries your confession home in the to-go box from the diner. It’s heavy, matching the American theme of burgers containing his weight in meat and fries slick with oil and grease. The two of you are walking together, and he wants to ask you, specifically, what did you mean when you told the team you liked me?" paper rings — ( sfw ) the tiffany blue ring box currently resides in the second drawer of his night stand, unceremoniously buried underneath several pairs of calvin klein briefs. when you know, you know — ( sfw ) atsumu considers marriage to be a trap, until he realizes that even a lifetime commitment to you isn’t long enough
headcanons & concepts ✩✮   : domesticity with atsumu — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : ex!atsumu seeing you're engaged to oikawa — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : how atsumu says i love you — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : atsumu and you having "non-dates" — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : atsumu's green flags — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : dating atsumu — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : dad!atsumu — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : mastermind inspired — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : atsumu randomly showing you his camera roll — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : in a world of boys, he's a gentleman — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : atsumu as a college interviewer tiktoker — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : husband atsumu using ur purse — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : you're the first person atsumu wants to tell anything to — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : the miya divide — ( sfw ) ✩✮   : girl dad atsumu — ( sfw )
multipart afterglow — ( nsfw ) finding out that his hot supermodel girlfriend is dumping him for some baseball player? that sucks. finding out via her red carpet debut with her new man as her plus one? sucks a bit more. having this happen to him the same day he just lost the last game of the season? yeah, it’s starting to feel like the universe has it out for him at this point, right? but atsumu miya is nothing if not petty, childish, and immature. he’ll get back at her. after all, there’s a secret dating app created by publicists and agents that pair up perfect matches for brightening up any celebrity’s public image. all atsumu has to do is pay a pretty sum of money to convince the media (and mainly his ex) that atsumu miya is still on top of the world and living his best life with the best (albeit, fake) girlfriend ever. unfortunately for him, his perfect match just so happens to be you — his first girlfriend, his highschool sweetheart turned sour, and the first girl who ever broke his heart. you know what they say: when it rains, it pours.

multipart get him back! — ( nsfw ) so, in an attempt to get back at your ex - who posted a sex tape of himself cheating on you with your best friend - you decide that you’re going to upload your own film, and it’s going to be even hotter than theirs. you don’t anticipate your class’s teaching assistant being your co-star, especially considering that he’s the one who took your virginity, and after all was said and done, you ran out on him. but there’s no running from him now, especially whenever your tape does better than expected. now, you’re one of the hottest up and coming content creators on the platform, and the cash is too good to let this opportunity go to waste. what starts as a petty revenge scheme results in a lucrative business partnership with three simple rules: profits are split 50/50, all videos remain faceless, and this newfound partnership means absolutely nothing. just because you two fuck on a daily basis does not mean you’re friends, and you’re certainly not lovers. then again, things hardly ever are that simple.
( 🏐 )  ⸺ 𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐄 𝐊𝐈𝐓𝐀  ✩ ✭
one shots & drabbles paper rings — ( sfw ) shinsuke kita is a creature of habit.
headcanons & concepts ✩✮   : influencer!reader x kita — ( sfw )

one shots & drabbles everything's blurry but you — ( sfw ) barely in your baby twenties, and you think life is so over for you. then, while at rock bottom, you run into futakuchi, and realize that 1) he’s kinda pathetic, and 2) someone else’s pathetic-ness totally distracts you from your own. so, guess you two are in it together.

Hello, just found your blog and I love your posts. Thanks for sharing them.
When I first saw your blog, I thought it will be about classical books like Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, etc (sorry for my mistake). I'm new in anime/manga (about last 6 years), before that since my school days, I only read classical books.....So not young in age but young in fandom :D
Are those seven are your fav media : BSD, JJK, Genshin Impact, AFTG, Voltron, Demon Slayer, Haikyuu? Can I ask why you love them? What made them special for you?
P.s
Are you excited for the Haikyuu movie, new season of Demon Slayer, and new spin off for AFTG?
Thanks 🌻
Thank you for sending in another request!! I smiled wide when I saw that sunflower 🌻
I completely understand where you’re coming from. The A Tale of Two Cities is sure to through anyone off. Sorry!! I mainly use this blog to post my ramblings and creative projects that I can’t really put anywhere else, plus a few one shots. I might transfer more of my one-shots to here from Ao3, but I simply haven’t gotten around to it.
Love to hear that you love the classics, though!! I wish I had the patience to read more than I have already. I’m an extremely slow reader, so it makes it difficult to get through classics (even though I love them dearly). For anime/manga, I wouldn’t say I’m a huge fan myself. Not that I don’t enjoy it, but I don’t go out of my way to read or watch something in that genre because it’s in that genre. I watch or read anything that may pique my interest, regardless of the format, be it on Youtube, Hulu, Crunchyroll, etc. I haven’t really even seen many animanga myself, to be honest.
I wouldn’t say the seven that you listed are my favorite media, they are just the ones that I have written fanfiction/analyses about and posted it on here. I use that list as a masterlist guide for people to find my meaningful posts easier! So, not my favorite, just whats available to peruse on my account. As for my actual favorite… it’s hard to say. I don’t think I have seven I can list off the top of my head, but I do have some favorites in general.
Interestingly, for most of my “favorites”, I have never written a fanfiction for, nor do I read many fanfics for (with the exception of a couple of favorites). I don’t know why this is. Maybe because I find the original story too good to be expanded upon? I can’t say for certain.
A Silent Voice is easily favorite movie. It’s also my favorite anime, if you don’t require the anime to be a series. I haven’t watched any movie better, animated or otherwise, and I’m not sure I ever will. The characters are all so beautifully human, who say and do the wrong things, who are awful to each other, but who also do kind things, who develop, who change, even as others stay the same. Not to mention that the animation itself is beautiful. I could go on and on about this movie; I cry every time I watch it. I’d say it’s my favorite piece of media in general. Everything else falls behind it. Nothing can top it (at least not yet). Fun fact, if you didn’t already know: the English voice actor for Shouko, the main female lead, is actually deaf. Wonderful voice casting as well, just to top things off.
Bungou Stray Dogs is my favorite manga as of right now. I love it for many of the same reasons I love A Silent Voice; the characters are horribly human and complex, despite their inhuman abilities. Each character is interesting and unique, and while I do have gripes with the main storytelling, Asagiri’s Bungou Stray Dogs: BEAST really makes up for it. All of the character designs are also very unique and thought-out. Each character and their design leaves me spiraling as I think and analyze. It really triggers the autism LMAO.
Child of Light is my favorite video game. While I do have the most hours logged into Genshin Impact (and it is a close second in terms of favorites), Child of Light is simply one of those games that I can never forget. I have a lot of good childhood memories tied with it. I also completed the entire thing in one sitting in about 10 hours, which is the first and probably last time I ever speed-run a video game (speed-run is used loosely here because I am not “speedy” in any sense of the word). Anyway, Child of Light is a very beautiful game both in visuals (with its watercolor game design) and music (one of the best soundtracks in any game, in my opinion). The language in the game is also very unique — every character speaks in a rhyming pattern, all except the Jester character, who you would THINK would speak in rhymes but fails miserably every time. Each character is as fantastical as the next, ranging from a water droplet to a mouse. I wish everyone would play this game, because it’s so fun and so beautiful.
The Grishaverse is my favorite book series, though there are multiple series within the universe. I just don’t have a favorite (definitely not the Grisha Trilogy though 😭). Although it’s been a while since I’ve read the books, I seriously couldn’t put them down when I was reading them. They are a perfect blend of fantasy and realism, with believable characters and powers. While the OG series is genuinely not good in my opinion, the Six of Crows and King of Scars Duologies are actual masterpieces. Six of Crows is full of action, intensity, and found family, while King of Scars balances it out with political intrigue. Very, very well written and well done book series in plot, character, and setting. The TV show is a crime against the books, honestly, but it’s okay, Just read the books, they are better.
Merlin is my favorite TV show. I actually really love watching medieval settings. Not as much reading (not that I don’t like them in books, I just don’t search them out for the purpose of being medieval), but I love to watch them. I like admiring the old settings, buildings, clothes, and lifestyles that are being presented. I also love Arthurian retellings, so Merlin kind of hits the spot. I don’t have as many good reasons for loving this series, I just do 😭. Best (b)romance of the century. I did cry at the end when I watched it. Also, thank you to the Merlin fandom for reaching me what a good fanfiction is supposed to look like.
That’s all I can think of. I don’t really have a favorite individual book, classic or otherwise. I think that’s kind of impossible for me. I’ve read many great series, and I assume I will read a great many more to come.
I’m not sure if I’ll watch the Haikyuu movie. It’s been a long time since I’ve watched the anime, but if I come across it and I can watch it for free, then I’d be down honestly. I have been keeping up with Demon Slayer, with plans to read the manga maybe, so I am pretty excited for the new season!! And don’t get me started on the new All for the Game book!! I need it in my hands right now.
Thank you so much for asking!! I love talking about my favorite medias lol

Thanks for answering my ask before. If you don't mind me asking (again), can I ask, who are your top 10 favorite characters (can be from books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......
HAHHA don't worry these asks are fun and i enjoy them so don't apologize for giving me a good time. i do apologise for taking such a long time w these asks, im actually horrible at articulating my thoughts (which is why i am not a writer HA) i think i might be forgetting some characters, or maybe i just dont have alot of faves
1. itoshi rin (blue lock)
i feel like he sticks out like a sore thumb here but he's very much no. 1... something about him being an antisocial introverted hater with abandonment issues, but also has skills to back up his arrogance and (besides all the hate he lets fester within him) actually has a pretty healthy lifestyle.
2. itadori yuuji (jujutsu kaisen)
everything about yuuji is so inherently GOOD and it both interests + pains me to see him being put through all these trials and tribulations of a dark shonen mc 😭
3. gojo satoru (jujutsu kaisen)
i think, like rin, what makes him so interesting is that he has this arrogant and disrespectful personality but then again he's literally the strongest so you cant do jack shit about it. but on the other hand he's this playful goofy (incapable) teacher who spoils his students. i also love OP (to the point it dont make sense) characters.
4. dazai osamu (bungo stray dogs)
i find his inability to be truly happy in any universe fascinating.
5. tachihara michizo (bungo stray dogs)
if i explained it would be major spoilers for s4 and s5 of bsd so i'll just say that his contribution to the plot in the recent seasons really did it for me. the jump from s1 to s4 was a KICK.
6. mikage reo (blue lock)
he's a sopping wet sock. i think this is what people call a gap moe... this perfect, highly capable and charming individual turns into the most pathetic instance of man when his best friend leaves him.
7. giorno giovanna (jojo's bizarre adventure: golden wind)
his birth origins are alr wild. his stand is wild. his battle strategies are wild. his ending is wild. he (alongside jotaro) is probably the least expressive but his personality is so unique lol. a lil rascal.
8. kita shinsuke (haikyuu!!)
its been a while since anyone has mentioned haikyuu for me but kita remains as one of my fav characters LOL i think he's just very refreshing since the cast is full of hungry teenage monsters eager to win and he's almost like a breeze of calm HAHA. the inarizaki team is also very dear to me bcs theyre packed w such cool and strong characters that interact dynamically lol
9. tsukumo yuki (jujutsu kaisen)
honestly, she was the most interesting female character in jujutsu kaisen (for me) until gege decided to trash her. her appearances from todo's flashbacks to her in shibuya were all so badass, plus shes a good example of a character type i really like that radiates strong-confident-fighter aura but isnt really the brooding/dark type... but fun! ykyk. (oot but i REALLY wanted yuki at #9 bcs of her name LOL, realistically she wouldve been at #7)
10. raiden ei (genshin impact) + raiden shogun
again, another insanely OP character that it doesn't even make sense. her lore is crazy. the second raiden quest was what got me hooked (best story quest ever lol), i honestly can't pinpoint what it is from that quest since its been a while but it changed my whole perspective on her and i've been a raiden fan since. a combination of design, personality, lore, and strength (and additionally the raiden ensemble)
honorable mentions:
kaedehara kazuha, zhongli (genshin)
higashikata josuke (jojo's bizarre adventure: diamond is unbreakable)
lelouch lamperouge (code geass)
oda sakunosuke (bungou stray dogs)

Hi, art...For the animanga ask, what are your top 10 favorite moments from your fav anime or manga?
I have a lot of favorite moments on different series, so I'd probably give the top 10 that's left an impact on me and I haven't forgotten yet despite watching/reading these scenes a while back. To make it more specific, I'd be focusing on sports anime because my mind is filled with sports-themed anime right now. XD This is not in any particular order. Also, there are a lot of spoilers here, BE WARNED!! Decide for yourself first if you want to continue reading. Anime mentioned are the following: Daiya no Ace, Ao Ashi, Blue Lock, Haikyuu!!, Oofuri and YowaPeda.
Sawamura Eijun becoming Seidou's Ace
Anime/Manga: Daiya no Ace Act II
Reason: Who wouldn't? I think this is the moment that every DnA fan has been waiting for.
Aoi Ashito becoming a successful playmaker
Anime/Manga: Ao Ashi
Reason: This was the coach's intention, to begin with, when he asked Ashito to become a defender. For Ashito, playing as a forward meant a lot but he was asked to give it up and he did. He struggled and struggled and was finally able to use his strengths to the fullest. Of course, he still has a lot to learn but it's the start of him becoming a professional player. I can't remember the number of times I read this part in the manga.
Isagi and Bachira stopped depending on one another
Anime/Manga: Blue Lock
Reason: I really love Bachira and Isagi's relationship even at the start of the story and it became even better when the both of them realized that they were depending too much on each other and decided not to do it anymore. It helped both of them develop as individual players and at the same time, they developed another form of friendship and rivalry.
Furuya started calling Sawamura "Eijun"
Anime/Manga: Daiya no Ace Act II
Reason: Furuya is meant to be Sawamura's rival from the start. So when Furuya mellowed out and started expressing himself, I found their friendship and rivalry so adorable. Furuya never calls others by their first name, and when he did during the first game at the Summer Tournament, everyone was surprised. It's a very big deal because that's Furuya calling "Eijun" and Eijun himself seems not to mind.
Hinata Shouyou's "Nice Receive"
Anime/Manga: Haikyuu!!
Reason: I've watched this scene too many times. I felt like this was Hinata's moment that Bokuto was talking about. And then after that game, he just kept improving and improving during that tournament that it's so frightening and exhilarating. Can't wait for "Karasuno vs Nekom" to be animated. I'm still a bit frustrated about the ending though. XD
Arata's confession to Chihaya
Anime/Manga: Chihayafuru
Reason: Arata's confession was a surprise for me. At that time, I was only watching the anime. It felt sudden but at the same time, the timing felt right. And Arata!! He was so adorable when he confessed!! After that, Chihaya was in a daze. Totally different reaction than when Taichi confessed to her. Fufufu. ^^
Abe held Mihashi's hand
Anime/Manga: Oofuri (Ookiku Furikabutte)
Reason: This act was first done to Abe by the coach and he was advised to do the same thing to Mihashi. As soon as he did, he realized a lot of things about Mihashi and the painful past he went through back in middle school. Yes, just by holding his (pitching) hand, he realized that Mihashi is a good and hard-working pitcher. He understood what his true role is as a catcher and what he should do for his pitcher. I really love this scene, I can watch it all day. XD
Onoda tried his best to stand to meet Imaizumi after he won the second time
Anime/Manga: Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break
Reason: I know a lot of people got tired of watching this anime after the second season. But I thought I had to continue because there might be scenes worth watching, and this happened to be one of those. The first time Onoda won the race, Imaizumi lifted Onoda like he was so weightless. lol. This time around, Onoda forced himself to stand as soon as Imaizumi arrived, and they talked while hugging each other. Imaizumi is still a bit inconsistent when it comes to calling Onoda by his first name but in this scene, he continued addressing him as "Sakamichi". By the way, while they are hugging, there are people in the background taking photos. XD
Ashito was about to give up when he was forced to play defender position but Hana managed to convince him not to
Anime/Manga: Ao Ashi
Reason: I started shipping Ashito and Hana right after this. Everyone tried looking for Ashito but it was Hana who knew where she could find him. Cooking for him, calling his mother, and telling him the words he needed to hear. Hana managed to do all of these at that moment. She truly is her number one fan and I love her for it. I love them both!! (≧◡≦) ♡
Seidou won against Ichidai
Anime/Manga: Daiya no Ace Act II
Reason: Inashiro is Seidou's rival, but I loved the Ichidai game more. Why? Because it was the very first game that Sawamura was able to show his true prowess as Seidou's ace. He was pitching against Sankou's batter and he only allowed one run. It was also phenomenal. The way they won and overtake Sankou and then won at the end. Sawamura's pitching inspired the whole team, and the team responded by scoring 2 runs against Amahisa.

Hi....If you don't mind, can I ask, what are your top 10 (or top 7) favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......Thanks....
i dabble a lot but current few favourites are
• red white and royal blue (book and movie), stranger things
• kpop (i listen to way too many groups atp to have one particular fav)
• on earth we're briefly gorgeous (book by ocean vogue)
•bsd, haikyuu, attack on titan, demon slayer, violet evergarden, currently on hxh and glimore girls together, 10 things i hate about you (comfort movie)
• as for mangas, death : rescheduled (i LOVE the author, their works are one of my favs, check out their work called freaking romance) some of my fav ones are bastard and sweet home (both of them awesome thrillers), parallel city (this is still going on and i haven't updated myself yet but 50+ chapters in and it was still going strong), purple hyacinth (mystery murder thrill love it), unholy blood and the double agent (i was obsessed with both of them when they were going on)
• as for romance til debt do us part, seasons of blossom (okay this is technically not a romance but it starts as one has cute moments be warned though it will make you cry so much, a fair warning the second season onwards it deals with suicide and mental health issues), romance 101, daytime star, rumour has it, her bucket list, cheese in trap

I watched Haikyuu finally. I finished Season 1 on [07/16/23] and the last season on [07/19/23].
I absolutely loved this series, and while I already knew that from having read the manga previously (2021 reread), I had never watched it, and this just brought forth that love again.
I deeply enjoyed watching the animations of the characters and the matches, it really gave them life, and it was nice to hear everyone's voices. I watched seasons 1-3 in Animelon and used English and Japanese subtitles, but watched season 4 (To The Top) on a zoro.to equivalent website with only English subtitles. The animation quality in the second part of season 4 was a bit wonky at times, but looked very good during up close frames.
When I first watched it, I was excited to see the Shiratorizawa match, but I have to say that my absolute favorite match was Karasuno v. Inarizaki. It was super long and super intense the entire way through, but I had so much fun. I had to try not to scream at all of the character moments we got to see.
This is one of my favorite manga/anime series (both are great), with fun and realistic characters, great development for quite a few of them, a variety of personalities, and great volleyball matches. I think this one is a 10/10 for me. It may not be technically  perfect, it may not develop all characters equally, and it may have very obvious teenage boy humor, but it's genuinely good, and the flaws don't detract from its story, as they're not distractingly obvious, in my opinion.
Some of my favorite details from this series would have to be: getting to see into the philosophies of other teams, and the concept of having a "moment", which is introduced during the [Tokyo Expedition Arc] and carries out in real time canon (as in not during a flashback), twice.
My favorite character Arc would have to be Tsukishima's, then Hinata's, in very different ways.
I loved watching Tsukishima question why it mattered so much, and how Bokuto's words stuck with him so clearly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I loved watching him slowly becomes more entrenched in the sport, taking it more seriously and taking the time to put his effort into training a bit more, asking questions, and even guiding his teammates during matches with his observations. I love how strongly he felt about being pulled from the Shiratorizawa match, and I loved seeing his "moment", and how he couldn't ever go back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was genuinely an incredible thing to witness, and I love how that moment stays with him, until he's fighting to win the Inarizaki match with every once of strength and reflex he has, connecting with his team fully.
And I think I really enjoyed watching him become friends with the other first years too, especially Hinata. I felt he truly understood Hinata after he crashed the Shiratorizawa Youth Training Camp, and trusted him during the Inarizaki match.
His quiet moment of realization after the match, where Bokuto's words and his own understanding of what they really meant surfaces again, as he sees that in another person. I just genuinely love it so much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I love Hinata's development, not as his perspective develops (because he was already pretty set, let's be honest), but obviously because of his growth as a player. I love how at first that growth is immature, but quickly becomes more and more intensive and thought focused. He learns from others, constantly challenges himself and others, and then reaches a point where his hunger is greedy and intrusive, forcing him to redirect how he learns and views the court. That experience led him to truly learn how volleyball functions as an entire court, rather than just as a wing spiker, and his ability to not only understand the behaviors of others, but to mimic and retain them alongside his quick reflexes created that "moment" for him later on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I could see that entire process in motion and it was awesome. I think it's a fun parallel to Tsukishima, as they came from very different places but still develop a strange admiration and understanding, while retaining everything that made them. I just love it.
And yeah, I really liked Kageyama's development too. I think it was very realistic in how he slipped back into bad habits after the All-Japan Youth Camp, but also was quick to recognize that he might be doing so, despite his criticisms being necessary to communicate to his team. We can see how deeply that match in junior high cuts him, and I love that he's with a team that allows him to grow from that, without being left alone. Hinata shows him this in the most obvious, simple way, but the entire team steps into that and it results in a Karasuno that functions much more like a unit.
I just, genuinely love this series and enjoyed the entire process.

Hi.....Can I ask your top 10 favorite anime ever (can be series or movies)? And why do you like them (if you don't mind me asking)? Thanks.....
Hi thank you so much for asking! So my top 10 are
1. Fairy Tail
This was my first anime I ever watched and I know that a lot of people hates it because of the power of friendship and all that crap but I absolutely loved it. I watched it when I was going through a really low period in my life and this is what got me out of it so this anime has cemented its place in my heart forever. Also can we talk about how good the filler episodes were; I think that FT deserves some credit for having the best fillers in any series.
2. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
This was also an anime I watched from my noob days so I had no idea what I was getting into and boy was I shocked. I loved every single episode of it and it had such a heavy theme and message but it was brought about so effortlessly that you can’t help but love it. Also appreciated that all the women in this anime were strong and didn’t depend on anyone saving them.
3. Assassination Classroom:
Ahhh this one brought me so much pain. I remember watching the season 2 finale and my dad was in the same room with me and my dad looked up and saw me full on crying and he had the most confused look ever lol. But seriously this is an underrated anime and I absolutely love Koro sensei.
4. Gintama
This was one that I went into for comedy and just to kill time when I was bored but I was caught off guard with the emotional plots, like one minute I’m crying from laughing so hard and the next I’m crying cause the writer broke my heart. Also I loved the openings, endings and OST’s from this anime.
4. Akatsuki no Yona
I thought that this was going to be your typical harem anime where the girl gets saved by her guys in every situation she puts herself in but I was genuinely surprised when it was not. I loved that we got to see Yona start from her lowest point and gradually grow both mentally and physically and her determination to protect Hak at all costs 🤌. And Hak was just 😍😍😍 seriously he set the standard for all my anime husbandos. Also still keeping my fingers crossed for a second season 🤞
5. Attack on Titan
I thought this was an anime about giant naked people eating smaller clothed people; I did not expect it to go in-depth about war, race, genocide and other heavy topics. Honestly I’m really impressed how simple scenes from the very fist episode came into play for the most recent episodes. I know there’s a lot of criticism for the author about the direction and choices he made to end the series but I absolutely loved the manga and I really enjoyed the anime and most certainly am looking forward for the final final final season.
6. Bleach
I think Tite Kubo deserves an award for creating the most attractive characters tbh. Like even the villains were so damn good looking. I believe this was the second anime that I watched and everyone was like oh I bet it was better than Fairy Tail and I’m just meh. I think the reason why I didn’t devote my heart and soul to this was because of the toxic fandom, whenever I talked about it, it was always are you Team Rukia or Team Orihime and I’m like yo I’m just to figure out when are we going to get Ichigo’s dad backstory. Putting the fandom aside I really loved this anime and I can’t wait for the final season to be animated.
7. Howl’s Moving Castle
The plot of this was just absolutely beautiful. Sophie deserved the world and so does Howl. Sophie was such a relatable character to me when I was younger because I understood her insecurities about herself and watching her slowly overcome them was breathtaking. Also Howl’s meltdown after dying his hair the wrong color 💯 % understandable lol.
8. Haikyuu
Ahhhh I don’t think I have enough words to describe how much I loved this anime. I loved that we got to see Hinata start from the bottom and grow from there. It was also nice to see character development from the secondary characters as well. I think this is the first anime that there wasn’t a character that I disliked.
9. Fruits Basket
This one absolutely caught me by surprise. I thought it was a simple love triangle, will they or won’t they get together type of trope and I was thrilled to see how much more in-depth the story went. Seeing how much each character was suffering in their own way was heartbreaking to watch but seeing them overcome their trauma was oh so satisfying. I still stand by what I originally posted that Akito deserved punishment for the abuse that made members of the zodiac suffer.
10. Sword of the Stranger ( Stranger: Mukou Hadan)
This is a very underrated anime movie that I see absolutely no one talking about. It has an interesting plot as well as great animation style. The characters were so likable and the soundtrack really set the theme of this movie. Also watching the familial bond grow between the two main characters was just icing on the cake.

Hi.....Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite anime (can be series or movies)? And why do you lovel them? Also, what are your top 5 (or top 7) favorite moments from any anime (can be series or movies)?
Sorry if I ask too much, feel free if you want to answer both of my questions or just pick either one......Thanks....
hello!! sorry for the delay in replying to this but i hope they're good answers :)
i actually made a top 10 list a while ago, but i will list them quickly here again:
(note: some of these can be a lot to handle so i recommend looking up trigger lists beforehand if necessary!)
run with the wind/kazetsuyo: sports anime but heavy on the "sports as a metaphor for life." wonderful characters and dynamics, beautiful ost, it's just super moving and i've watched it 3 times!!
86/eighty-six: criminally underrated dystopian mecha tackling some heavy topics with care (imo they handle these themes way better than a certain very popular anime that i will not name). one of the strongest emotional reactions i've ever had to an anime ever and banging soundtrack
mob psycho: i could go on about this show for ages. aside from really great animation and a funky art style, the story and characters are one of a kind.
march comes in like a lion: another underrated gem! excellent slice of life dealing with loss, depression, etc etc. once again really great characters and plot, it's very heartwarming and comforting. a good one for people who love food.
vinland saga: i went into this one not expecting much but i ended up absolutely loving it, especially the second season that's currently airing. i totally get why it's considered one of the best seinen series ever. vikings, violence, grief, inner peace, etc
golden kamuy: another wild ride of a seinen that deserves so much more attention and praise. sort of gives wild west vibes but in early 20th century hokkaido. will teach you about ainu culture! will also mildly traumatize you as well!
great pretender: super fun art style and colorful characters. if you like heists/morally gray criminals then this is the show for you. i am praying for a 3rd season so hard
haikyuu: this was one of the first animes i watched so it will always have a very special place in my heart. yes it seems to just be some epic volleyball but look further and you will find it's kind of an amazing story
horimiya: one of my favorite slice of life/romcom animes of all time. the manga is way better imo (anime cut a lot out) but i have watched the anime twice
ouran high school host club: another series i've watched twice. definitely very characteristic of an early 2000s anime but it's a classic for a reason
my top 5 favorite moments is a hefty question! i actually don't think i could come up with a list right now, because there are so many i think about constantly, but maybe one day i will jot them down properly

In Honour of this milestone, I’ll be drifting out of manga recs and rate the best anime of this season:
In fifth place, I’ll have to place Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-Kun. A well-loved favourite, this fall season comes back with a third season that builds up on the potential of previous seasons while keeping the comedic timing and lovability of the manga. While there is always room for improvement, this anime simply cannot be looked down on, neither in animation nor voice-acting nor plot. Fans of My Hero Academia might find some familiarity in the anime but Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun comes with it’s own unique charm. I’m particularly a fan of the characterization, as though this anime is definitely a comedy, there are a lot of defining character moments that place it well above it’s peers. I love the season so far and expect great things from future episodes.
Coming up strong in fourth place, Blue Lock is a new anime that already boasts of a considerable fanbase. As someone who isn’t much of a fan of sports, I cannot claim an expert opinion on the accuracy of the sports depicted (though it’s probably more or less as believable as other sports anime.) However, as a fan of both Haikyuu and Days, I can say that Blue Lock takes the drama that is a staple of the genre to the extreme. But it’s done well. While edging the line of overdramatic edginess and semi-reasonable stakes, Blue Lock is…. well, fun. It does have a unique feature that seperates it from other sports anime, in that instead of competition between teams, the competition is between individuals. I admit to being a fan of the manga, but the anime has lived up to my expectations so far and I look forwards to seeing future episodes.
In the top three, Chainsaw Man cannot be overlooked. With animation that just holds back from being as gory as the manga, and the controversial use of CGI; Chainsaw Man has seemingly achieved the impossible task of living up to it’s hype. As an adaptation, it stays faithful to the source material and since the source material developed quite a large fandom, it seems safe enough to write that this anime will be a success. Honestly, Chainsaw Man is not of the soft-of-heart as it can get pretty damn tragic, but if you’re willing to stick it out it’s fully recommended. If nothing else, Denji Aki and Power are a trio you can’t help but love.
Second place has to be Mob Psycho 100. The Animation of Mob Psycho 100 is absolutely beautiful. I would rate it as one of the best animation currently airing on crunchyroll. Honestly, it would hit top five in this list for animation alone but what truly puts this anime on the map isn’t the animation but the characters. Reigen and Mob are outstanding. Watching both characters develop individually and together, is the highlight of this anime as the characterization and arc development is done so well it can bring you to tears. Suprisingly wholesome, Mob Psycho 100 could very well be number one on this list. It’s just that good.
And the absolute stunner of this season is the suprising Mobile Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. My favourite from this season has to be this anime. I’m going to be the first to admit I have not been a part of the gundam fandom… ever. But this series was so easy to follow that it did not appear to matter. The character design is amazing, absolutely elite, and the characterization even more so. But i’ve said this about every other anime on this list, so what makes this anime different? Why do I rank it first? Well, apart from everything else I have mentioned, the very first episode moved me to tears. It’s very hard to find an anime that provokes such depth of an emotion, and for Witch from Mercury to do it on the first try, without any other context from previous series was unprecedented. While this could be taken as biased reporting, I do hope you give this anime a try. The plot is wholesome, intriguing and has depth that’s quite hard to find.

Haikyuu Season 4 Part 2
Hello, I'm Abigail Billings and this is my blog! I'm going to be using this to log and review the tv shows I'm currently watching and rewatching! Even though this is the first post I'm going to go ahead and jump right into it!
HAIKYUU TO THE TOP EPISODES 13-25
Haikyuu season 4 (also known as To The Top) is a season that I've seen about twice before. Despite this, my third watch continues to surprise and excite me!
Tumblr media
BACKGROUND
Haikyuu is an anime that first began airing in 2014 and is based on a manga of the same name. It follows highschooler Hinata Shoyo and his volleyball team as they compete to win Nationals. This half of the season focuses on Hinata's team (Karasuno) playing Inarizaki in the quarter-finals.
Tumblr media
REVIEW
Even though this season completely changed the animation style from past seasons due to time constraints, it still remains a highly entertaining show. I do believe the quality of animation diminished and I much prefer the old style, but this half of the season continues to be one of my favorite arcs/games the show has to offer. This season introduces many new characters that I have grown to love like Atsumu and Osamu Miya, Sakusa Kiyoomi, and Suna Rintaro. I'm a huge fan of following voice actors and can easily recognize them from old shows, so it's amazing that the new cast members are ones that I know and love from other shows! I also think the volleyball game they play in this season is one of the best ones in the whole show (second only the season 3's game against Shiratorizawa). Hinata is known for having terrible receives but show-stopping spikes, but this season also focused on Hinata's growth as a player as he saves the game twice in moments of unbelievable receives that warm my heart.
Tumblr media
SIGN OFF
This show is one of my favorites, and I have to admit that I go back and rewatch my favorite episodes every few weeks. The love that the characters have for the game is something that really hits home for me, as an ex-volleyball player. The production company recently announced that the show will be ending with a 2-part movie spectacular in August of next year. I can't wait to see what other amazing things this show has to offer.
Thank you for reading and I'll see you next time :)

Yachi Hitoka screams in shock, blushing intensely. In the second GIF, Sugawara Koushi and Tanaka Ryuunosuke, both shirtless, stand around Shouyou, who is trying to pull his uniform top on. Suga says, "Hinata, that's backwards," and Tanaka says, "Like Jamila." In the background, Hitoka is peeking through her fingers and blushing. Shimizu Kiyoko says to her, "Sorry, you'll have to get used to this." End description. ]

I got a new job, so activity level will be lower. However, nothing can stop me from yapping to y'all? the void? Before i get started, any of y'all try white rice and spicy tuna. The texture is so, hm, chefs kiss. I have no one else in my life that loves tuna. hence this little blurb before I get into it. Anyhow do let me know if any of y'all try it.
I love anime. It's always so well done. I of course of a wide variety of animes I've watched, and rewatched. Of course I could bore you all with a long list of every anime i've ever seen... but, actually why not. My top three are a controversial take. Mostly due to me never rewatching. with the exception of Vampire Knight. I've mentioned it before. It was quite possibly the most formative anime of my childhood. (yes i'm a Kaname Kuran girl. till the day I die.) I still watch it every time around my birthday.
Tumblr media
My second two, and yes this is in order; are as follows. Haikyuu, which i never finished. And Say I Love You, which i bought manga for.
Haikyuu is just, there's something for everyone. Do I care about volleyball? No. But I enjoy more because of this anime. Yes i never finished it, but that's a side step. I also enjoy the fact that there's a timeskip and not all the characters end up in volleyball. Don't even get me started talking about my faves in this.
Tumblr media
Say I Love You is such a teen romance anime. It's so good. I did watch toradora and silent voice (i know it's not explicitly romantic but it falls under the same giant veil). Say I Love You is a good stand alone. you can watch and read the series and they both make sense beginning to end. While I like any book to series adapation the series always leaves out parts. This is no exception. They're both pretty good dare i say.
Tumblr media
I of course have a pleuthra of Honorable Mentions yet they never make the top three. My Hero Academia for instance; I loved this series. Watched a lot of it, the new season when it came out. then like most long series I fell off the bandwagon. Which is why I was able to finish other animes ie. Attack on Titan, Stars Align, the like.
Most animes I begin yet never pick back up. Usually only able to watch the first episode maybe two, and never another one. It's just what happens. I tried getting into popular animes, lesser known animes. yet I've only ever finished a rare few.

20 Questions For Fic Writers
1. How many works do you have on A03?
71! I’ve deleted and orphaned a few over the years though.
2. What's your total A03 word count?
491,986
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently on the Ace Attorney train but I’ve dipped into Good Omens a bit, and I’ll never say no to any of my old faves.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
1. Inside Jokes (MHA)
2. Surprise Party (MHA)
3. Complete The <3 (Haikyuu)
4. And They Were Roommates (Haikyuu)
5. Keeping Up With the Reserve Course (Danganronpa)
And because NONE of those are ace attorney haha the highest kudos fic for that fandom is: the kiss and cry
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to do as many as I can even if I’m late because comments mean a lot to me. I have not replied to every single one but I try my best.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
(currently not finished and posted so this answer will change) Uhhhhh all mine usually have a happy ending with angst being at the start or middle. I guess maybe OH duh
“a fizz and a pop” which is a Crowley pov fic I wrote after the season two finale. “a rumble and a hum” is about equal angst but Aziraphale’s pov and I meant them to be a pair so those two for sure
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of them have happy endings but Happiest in universe is probably Indirect Correlation which is a MikexBill fic taking place in a nobody died AU of the second chapter of the IT movies when they’re all adults. Loved that one and it got lovely reception on the timeline when I shared it. Bike night!!
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not yet. Got some comments that I still don’t know if they were trolls or not
9. Do you write smut?
I do and want to improve.
10. Do you write crossovers?
None currently posted but I had a Free! x Host Club fic way back in the day I ended up deleting. And I want to combine some Ghost Trick characters into an AA fic I’m planning. So I’m not opposed if the mood strikes
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge but I’ve gotten one of those scam “we love your work” comments so who knows.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have not. (I don’t think I dont remember anyone asking unless they did and I’m forgetting and I don’t wanna go check Again I keep flipping back and forth).
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Haha does role playing with friends count? Not yet but maybe someday. I’ve written fics that my friends have inspired and I shared the progress with though. Oh no that’s a lie I have once but it’s no longer around. Hope that person is doing well.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
See this is tricky because I have ships I love that I’ve written about and ships I love that I enjoy without creating for it. I’ll say Hinata and Kageyama from Haikyuu though they are a ship for life.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
All of them uhhhh I have a 10k wip that may never see the light of day about cheating and marriage proposals but we’ll see if that ever becomes a thing.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I think when the iron is hot my sentence structure for comparing things is really sharp. I love writing people talking and often Hate having to add the proper fillers in between which is why Way back in the day I loved dialogue only fics. And chat fics / social media I LOVE those.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
If someone told me to describe a setting, room or outdoors doesn't matter, or they would put me in a meat grinder I would just jump in. I have a project that will force me to practice though
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I’ve done my fair share of google translate this phrase in the past but I don’t know how accurate that ever is and I’m not skilled enough in any language other than English to attempt it in a meaningful way
19. First fandom you wrote for?
An RPF / Real Person Fiction “couple” and if you don’t know that’s for the better. (It was not Dan and Phil in case people are trying to guess it was specific and niche and that’s all you’re getting bc it’s no longer posted thank goodness)
But aside from that the first fandom is Free! Iwatobi Swim Club. Miss those boys.
20. Favorite fic you've ever written?
It’s a toss up between Surprise Party (MHA) and you’re in his recent texts, I’m in his shitty car, we are not the same (Until Dawn).
Surprise Party I feel like is the most fun I’ve had with smut and it’s also my first ever fic someone did a podfic for which was so insane I was buzzing for a week afterwards. And recent text / shitty car I just think it flows so well and captures the personalities of Chris and Josh in a way I really love. Not 100% canon accurate but canon in the scenario I put them in if that makes sense.
This was super fun. I haven’t looked at my stuff via statistics in a long while. Makes me excited for the potential of the new year. Anyone who sees this I encourage you to look up your stuff even if you don’t post about it. Helped me remember some of my old favorites
