Decided to make a roster of Necros I currently have.
Long wall of text below explaining each Necro!

First is Saladbowld, my oldest Necro. I mainly use him for Fractals.
He was created on Nov 20th, 2015 as a joke. I think I was talking about a sentient Caladbolg and made Saladbowld as kinda a gijinka. His initial design was very VERY different from his current look. I unfortunately do not have any screenshots of his baby years, but he used to have Caladbolg colors and the ponytail hairstyle. He was supposed to be a keyfarmer and I was supposed to delete him, but over the years I got too attached to him and now Saladbowld has a background concerning the Mad Realm. I used to use him for Labyrinth farming, but I've retired him from that.
I didn't make another Necro until May 31st, 2020, and that's when I created Somhanavir. Vir is based on one of my OCs from a story I was writing. His full name is Somhanavir Gabris von Hallow and he's a kind of mantid monster. He has no connections to anything in GW2 story/lorewise. I made Vir for WvW at the time when I was somewhat enjoying Scourge, and when Scourge was somewhat decent in zergs. These days, he's park at New Kaineng JP to collect my daily Jade Runestone.
Nov 27th, 2020 is when Lyikera was created. She was initially created to be a reincarnation of Trahearne after HoT. But now, her story ties in with being Aurene's half, literally being Aurene's twin sister as the two were born together when Mordremoth was vanquished. I still headcanon that she and Aurene both embody Trahearne thanks to Mordremoth's death when they absorbed the magic of the Jungle Elder Dragon. In my story, Trahearne was a part of that blast and now is a part of Lyikera and Aurene.
On Aug 21st, 2021 I created Belavalla. She doesn't have any deep lore, she was just my "Pale Reaper" who guides lost Sylvari back to the Dream. I headcanon that her face is unrecognized/incomprehensible to those not ready to return aka Not Dead Yet. But her face will appear as someone comforting to help ease dead Sylvari back to the Dream.
Mender Lunaria was created on Jun 23rd, 2022 as a companion toon to my Pale Reaver Solaria. My Lunaria was once a Sylvari who was unfortunately a victim and test subject to Ardjin. Ardjin successfully spliced her with a Melandru Stalker. Lunaria was one of the lucky experiments, as she retained her memories and escaped Ardjin's facility in Brisband to return to her Dearheart, Solaria.
Apr 22, 2023 is the creation of Oozwald. I'm prolly the only person in GW2 who's created an NPC clone based off the Inquest Technician who got turned into an Ooze in the Thaumanova Reactor Fractal lol. Oozwald is my bag opener.
Jul 4th, 2023 comes Fish Lich. It is a Fish that is a Lich. That's it. No story as of now.
And my latest, current fascination is Hass (Has Seen Things). Created on Feb 29th 2024, he was supposed to be a kobold, but during character creation I couldn't stop laughing at the max-size eyes on one of the Asura faces and that's how he came to be. He uh doesn't have a story. Yet.

The Importance of the Broom Closet
I'm going to say this ONCE.
I started this blog in November of 2020. I have just over 12,000 followers. I reach a lot of young, impressionable witches who are fairly new to the craft. Many of these people are still at home with people who won't accept what they practice and it may not be safe for them to divulge it to their families or roommates.
In all my time on this blog, I have had TWO ASKS that enraged me, one just a few days ago. Both of them were mocking witches in the broom closet, saying that the people who are in the broom closet shouldn't be witches if they couldn't be out and proud.
THAT IS NOT THE CASE. The broom closet is a VITAL tool for safety, comfort, and practice. Without the broom closet, we would have so much more judgment and harassment. We could even have minors getting kicked out. We could have an abuse situation. Broom closets keep these people SAFE.
If you're in the broom closet, you have every right to be there. You have EVERY RIGHT to want to stay safe. EVERY RIGHT to your secrecy. You are valid witches and valid practitioners.
To those who sent those asks, you don't deserve to call yourself a part of our community. Be your own witch and leave the rest of us alone

“Trying to steal history.”
January 9, 2024

On Monday, President Biden delivered a stirring and spirited speech at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina. In June 2015, members of the congregation at the church invited a stranger to join them for services. The stranger killed nine members of the church in the worst church-related shooting (to that point)—a mass killing that was racially motivated. President Obama delivered a eulogy for Pastor Clementa Pinckney of Mother Emmanuel AME Church that included his rendition of Amazing Grace a cappella.

Against the backdrop of the 2015 racially motivated mass shooting, President Biden addressed Trump's use of the “lost cause” of white supremacy to bolster his hate-fueled campaign. Biden said, in part,
On June 17th, 2015, the [nine] beautiful souls and five survivors invited a stranger into this church to pray with them. The word of God was pierced by bullets in hate and rage, propelled by not just gunpowder but by a poison — a poison that’s for too long haunted this nation.
What is that poison? White supremacy. Oh, it is; it’s a poison. Throughout our history, it’s ripped this nation apart. This has no place in America. Not today, tomorrow, or ever.
Now — now we’re living in an era of a second lost cause. Once again, there are some in this country trying — trying to turn a loss into a lie — a lie, which if allowed to live, will once again bring terrible damage to this country. This time, the lie is about the 2020 election, the election which you made your voices heard and your power known.
Biden tied the lost cause of white supremacy to Trump's 2020 loss, identifying both of as existential threats to the nation. He then pivoted to Trump's insurrection on January 6 and Trump's threat to continue that assault on democracy if he is elected to a second term in 2024.
Biden said,
Just two days ago, we marked the third anniversary of one of the darkest days in American history: January the 6th. The day in which insurrectionists stormed the United States Capitol, trying for the first time in American history to stop the peaceful transfer of power in the country.
We all saw with our own eyes the truth of what happened. That violent mob was whipped up by lies from a defeated former President . . . .
We saw something on January 6th we’d never seen before, even during the Civil War. Insurrectionists waving Confederate flags inside the halls of Congress built by enslaved Americans. A mob attacked and called Black officers, Black veterans defending the nation those vile of racist names.
And yet, an extreme movement of America, the MAGA Republicans, led by a defeated President, is trying to steal history now. They tried to steal an election. Now they’re trying to steal history, telling us that violent mob was, and I quote, “a peaceful protest.”
The lies that led to January 6th are part of a broader attack on the truth America today that we all have seen before. The same movement that, throughout the mob at the United States Capitol, isn’t just trying to rewrite history of January 6th, they’re trying to determine to erase history and your future: banning books; denying your right to vote and have it counted; destroying diversity, equality, inclusion all across America; harboring hate and replacing hope with anger and resentment and a dangerous view of America.
Powerful words delivered with passion and dignity befitting the hallowed ground and the proximity to January 6. As Trump's speeches are becoming more unhinged and hateful, Biden’s are becoming more forceful and direct in challenging Trump. If you can spare twenty minutes, watch the video linked above, beginning at the 26:00-minute mark. Your confidence will be renewed.
But I can’t leave this story without commenting on the media coverage. Biden delivered a truly inspirational and important speech on race and democracy. For sixty seconds during Biden’s speech, a protestor stood up and demanded that Biden call for a cease-fire in Israel. Biden handled the protestor with skill and grace. As the protestor was escorted from the church, Biden said,
It's alright. I understand their passion. I’ve been quietly working with the Israeli government to get them to reduce and significantly get out of Gaza.
That sixty-second incident of an otherwise historic speech dominated virtually every headline describing the speech. See, e.g., NYTimes, Protesters Calling for Gaza Cease-Fire Interrupt Biden Speech; The Hill, Biden address in Charleston church interrupted by protesters; and NPR, Protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza interrupted Biden's campaign speech.
The bias against Biden is just unbelievable. I wonder if the headline writers or journalists who wrote the articles even bothered to read or listen to the substance of Biden’s speech. I doubt it. Shame on them!
Meanwhile, Trump hopes the economy crashes before he is re-elected.
As Biden continued to call for the preservation of democracy and mourned the tragedies of January 6 and the AME shootings, Trump was telling an interviewer he hoped the economy would crash during Biden’s remaining time in office. See The Hill, Trump says he hopes economy crashes in next 12 months: ‘I don’t want to be Herbert Hoover’.
Trump said,
We have an economy that’s so fragile, and the only reason it’s running now is it’s running off the fumes of what we did. It’s just running off the fumes.
And when there’s a crash — I hope it’s going to be during this next 12 months because I don’t want to be Herbert Hoover. The one president I just don’t want to be, Herbert Hoover.
Ha! Trump remembered as Herbert Hoover? He should be so lucky! He will be remembered as Benedict Arnold, Aaron Burr, Jefferson Davis, and Aldrich Ames—combined!
And, in case you think I am resorting to hyperbole, Trump refused to sign a traditional pledge in Illinois in which presidential candidates pledge not to overthrow the US government. See The Guardian, Donald Trump did not sign Illinois pledge not to overthrow government. Trump signed the pledge in 2016 and 2020, but not in 2024. Hmm . . . it’s almost like he’s planning ahead to overthrow the US government!

I have yet another Fic idea that’s been bouncing around in my funny lil noggin for months! Yay! I call it my Stuck in the Middle AU (working title).
 Premise: Master of Death Harry unsatisfied with the role forced on him in the afterlife, endeavors to recruit an disembodied soul from a Universe where the entirety of HARRY POTTER is nothing more than a fictional story for children to help him destroy the 3 Hallows before they could ever come into his hands. He finds such a soul through happenstance & makes a deal, to allow that soul to return to their life they just left if they help him destroy the Hallows to which they agree.
The catch: Because Harry’s only enjoyment in the afterlife is messing with one Tom Marvolo Riddle, the vessel he chooses to house this soul is none other than the recently deceased Myrtle Warren, killed by none other TMR himself.
This entire fic is told from the soul’s pov as they struggle with being stuck in the middle of the most bizarre form of purgatory.

Not Myrtle (laughing): Oh sure…What’s next you’re gonna tell me you’re Albus Dumbledore?
Prof. Dumbledore: …I am.

Tom: Incoherently?
Cygnus: Just what Hornby tells me. They think she’s made up her own language or something. Sounds like she’s gone mad. Even if she did remember, I doubt anyone would believe her.
Tom: Prof. Dumbledore would.

MOD Harry: You do realize, you’re the only one who can see me? Everyone else thinks you’ve gone mad babbling to yourself.
Not Myrtle: What?! And you only tell me this now?! I’ve been here for days!
MOD Harry: I thought it was obvious. Do you see anyone else addressing me? And I’ll also inform you that when you speak to me, you don’t speak in English…
Not Myrtle: Then what the hell am I speaking?!
MOD Harry: The language of the dead.
Not Myrtle: Is that why people keep looking at me like I’m crazy?!
MOD Harry: Oh definitely. Most of them think you’re possessed.
Not Myrtle: …isn’t that technically true?
MOD Harry: Sort of. You’re the possessor, not the possessee.

Hello! Hope you're having a good day!! Idk if u got my previous ask, but I just wanted to know if you're still doing director's cut and if you are then could you do one for 'i imagined a dark world where the stars clamor to be inside us' aka the feanor and findis fic? I've read it so many times its insane and I just love it so much!! I'd love to know your thoughts when u wrote it
In your findis fic, at the end, is my understanding that feanor ended up making horcruxes or something adjacent to horcruxes right?
Combining these two bc I'm pretty sure they're from the same person!
Literally this started because of the LOTR/ASOIAF crossover AU, where Sansa's dropped into ME and mistakes Boromir for her father: I hadn't read LOTR in AAAAAAAGES and so I hopped onto Tolkien Gateway to learn more about the timeline. My search essentially went Boromir -> Third Age -> Age -> First Age -> Feanor -> SILM.
I then started reading the Silm (keep in mind this is in covid-lockdown in 2020) and found myself so absolutely disinterested in the Valar that I skipped all of it to go to chapter 6 (THEE Feanor chapter), and found myself very confused. So I hopped back onto Tolkien Gateway and used their incredibly useful family trees to keep everyone straight in my head. As I'm doing all of this, I'm struck by the similarities between the Finwean kids and the Stark kids, especially Findis/Sansa-- but at this point all I'm thinking is eldest daughter eldest daughter, nothing else. I put Findis into the crossover fic anyway (still know nothing about her apart from the TG page!) and get on with the rest of the Silm.
And then I find out that there are a number of similarities between Sansa and Findis beyond simple birth order, including favoring their mother, presumably being pious, etc etc. I start reading PoME and HoME. I start building an idea of Findis in my own head from, like, four lines total in all this reading.
Annoyed at the lack of canon material, I go to ao3. This is April of 2020; after filtering for languages, I get about a 100 works. I scan a few, but don't find the character I'm looking for. This is mostly because I've wholesale made this character up myself. I scowl at myself and sulk for a few days. Then I start writing. I post the story in a month's time, and in the process I've gotten so many feelings about the Silm that, a full three years later, I still haven't managed to deal with any of them.
Re: the story itself!! I personally think of the Finweans as a little bit incomprehensible, as more mythologized even to their own family than any normal elf; I wanted to explore that idea in the story, particularly how it feels when one person becomes a myth, and how it feels to be left behind when that happens. Feanor does it first, of course, but Findis isn't far behind-- chapter 2 is all about Feanor leaving Findis (and everyone else in his family, through Findis' eyes), but chapter 3 is very purposely from everyone's perspective but Findis, so we can see how it feels for them when she's walked away.
And yes, Findis does in fact create a couple of horcruxes. So does Feanor. They're good horcruxes, though, ig? Don't need murder, are simply like the... laboratory equivalent of soul fission, and yet with some ephemeral connection to the og soul. Afaik the Valar didn't ask before hallowing the Silms as well, so! Not exactly great when imperfect people have parts of their souls hallowed!

First Post
So this is it. My first real post on Tumblr. Yay me! I guess this post is going to be about myself, and the Masterlist of what I've written, in timeline order.
I'm JohnMcHacker, and I'm a longtime Harry Pothead. (That sounds like an opener to Potters Anonymous, doesn't it?) I'd heard in passing of HP earlier, but only started reading when Goblet of Fire hit the shelves. I quickly read through all the previous books, waited eagerly for Order of the Phoenix (my personal favourite of the lot), and the rest is history.
I read a lot of fanfiction and wrote some (not very good) stuff, until about 2012 when life got too busy and I stopped writing. But HP was always in the back of my mind and I always thought about the universe, reread the books, and thought about what happened next. I picked up HP again in 2022 when I heard that fanfiction had had a mild resurgence during the pandemic, browsed through a couple, and realised that fanfiction had matured significantly in quality and depth since I left the scene. (And plumbed certain new lows, in my opinion, but live and let live I guess.)
So now I'm writing again, and I'm writing stories that I've had 10 years to think about. There's a specific grand arc of what happened after Deathly Hallows that I have in mind. As of this post (January 2023) I haven't actually started on the big events, but I'm warming up and getting there.

I also have other stories not included in this series, but this is my main "timeline" and grand story arc, so to speak.
My stories revolve around the themes of good vs evil, friendship, family, and love. I write about the never-ending battle for justice, righteousness and love against lawlessness, wickedness and hatred, and I write about the little moments in between (ba dum tss!) of kindness, affection, romance, of friendship and family.
My favourite pairings are Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, and Draco/Astoria. I intend to write most about these couples, but I hope to also explore others along the way, as well as family in general. Because Family is everything, believe me.

New year, pretty much the same me but maybe slightly updated, etc.
God, how I love writing into the void on this website. There is something so peaceful about knowing that literally no one is reading. There is something perfect about this kind of anonymity - yes, a random bot or two may glance at my words occasionally, but despite this, no one knows who I am.
It’s January 2nd, and this is a beautiful day to start my affirmations for the new year. I’m not trying to set “goals” in a girl boss-y way, I just want to write out what I want for myself, that way I (hopefully) increase the chances of these things actually happening? I’d love to become more organized this year (tbh that word is triggering as fuck so I’m sorry to even put it into this journal entry), but something that my mom said really resonated with me - how can we set goals (i.e. my general goal of organization) without putting systems in place in our lives to actually achieve said goals? Yes, she may or may not have read that in some cheesy article on the internet, but I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and I’d really love to put some systems into place in my life this year, baybeeee!
I actually just re-read a journal entry from January 1st last year, and I know today isn’t January 1st (but I’m treating it as such, since yesterday was busy). And I have to say - I do feel like I was able to achieve some things I set out to this year - one thing I’m really proud of is quitting my job. I still have certain regrets about it, but knowing that I got myself out of that toxic relationship with my boss has really stuck with me as one of the braver things I’ve done. It is crazy to look back on this journal entries and think about the place I’m in now career wise. Even though my job today may not be quit what I want to do with the rest of my life, my boss is amazing, my team is so kind and I’m literally getting paid DOUBLE what I was being paid last year, and for that... I am proud as fuck. So I want to take a moment and give some gratitude to myself for making that move last year.
But yes, okay, before I get too bogged down in reading past entries written by past versions of myself, I want to write out some of my affirmations for this year.
I will start writing my novel.
Oh god.... I know how lame that sounds but this has been one of my goals since I was a kid. All I’ve ever wanted is to be able to see a book by me in a bookstore. I would walk about Diesel as a kid just thinking about what it would be like to have my words on their hallowed shelves. So, I think I’m going to try to start that journey this year, whatever that may end up being. So far, I don’t really have any specific ideas about maybe something in the YA genre. So, here let the record show that I want to start on that journey this year. EEP feels crazy to say that.
I will figure out the direction I want my career to go in.
Since I switched jobs 6 months ago (thank god), I finally feel stable in my work life and feel so extremely grateful. However, it has been leaving me with more time to actually consider what I want in life and ideally what the next step in my career would be. I’m thinking that around June, I will start to consider either applying to new jobs or think about what I want my next steps to be, and whether or not I want to stay a Roku or switch to a different department or whatever that could be. Or, maybe I want to apply to grad school or business school or something! Whatever it may be ! Let’s figure it out, please.
I will work out more, for myself.
I have made GREAT progress on this one this year. I’ve also been able to just eat whatever I want - and that also includes eating healthy foods when I want to, just for the simple reason of wanting to nourish my body (not trying to eat fewer calories like I used to). This year, I basically worked out whenever I wanted to... and not because I felt pressure to get in shape or get skinny etc. That has been one of the biggest life changes I’ve had since mid 2020 ish, I’ve just simply been eating whatever I want whenever I want, and it has made me much less likely to binge eat. I used to have a pretty intense binge eating issue, but that has mostly stopped because now I eat burgers, sandwiches (WITH the bread and mayo/sauce), desserts and yeah basically whatever I want. It’s been life-changing to say the least. With exercise, I realize that it does make me feel good - so in less of a let’s-lose-weight type of way and more in a let’s-make-my-body-feel-GOOD way, I want to try to go to yoga more, use ClassPass more, and also start.... dare I say it.... RUNNING longer distances? I’ve stopped running, I think it reminds me of disorder eating culture for me personally, but I’d love to start again this year just for the sake of meditation and keeping my mind healthy.
I will make sure all of my relationships are serving me.
This is a big one. I have been working on this already, but there are a few relationships in my life right now that I’m a little bit iffy about, and I want to work with my therapist to figure out if there are any decisions I need to make about them.
Prioritize happiness, but also prioritize honesty.
I think this is super important for me this year because I’ve gotten better at becoming more honest with myself and with my words, but I’ve also sometimes lacked the almost ignorance-is-bliss type of happiness that I used to really embody. I want to try to prioritize childlike wonder and happiness, and making decisions that are going to emphasize and promote happiness in my life, but I also need to be honest with those around me about how I’m feeling and what things (and people) are or aren’t bringing me said happiness.
Okay.... I’m going to publish this baby because it’s been going on for a while and my period cramps are getting horrendous. That’s all for now, or as I used to say as a pre-teen... TTFN! Here’s to a beautiful new year. Thanks for letting me meditate with you on Tumblr.
