hiii!! i think youve mentioned that you're not the biggest fan of receiving asks because they can be hard to respond to and i hope im not being a bother!! but id like to drop some kaishin brainrot here in ur inbox if thats alright! if not totally feel free to ignore this lol

a thought for the scrunklies... i cant stop thinking about shinichi getting affected by cases and their outcomes so i will apply this thought to kaishin: a victim who resembles kuroba in some away leaves a hard strain on shinichis heart.

kuroba doesnt know about this case, but he does pick up on the subtleties on how shinichi is way closer in proximity than usual. more cuddly, more clingy. perhaps after we could have some heist angst idk... but the thought of whatever causes the reaction isnt important. what's important is: shinichi's lips start to quiver and its unavoidable, he starts to sob in front of kuroba. heavy breathing and blotchy tears, hes clinging to kuroba with such a strong grip that it starts to physically hurt. one thing leads to another and shinichi ends up in his lap, clinging to him and quietly crying into his neck while kaito rubs his back, murming; "i love you, great detective," or "i know, i know. s'okay now..." kuroba never sees him cry so he eventually starts to silently cry too. they just end up sobbing into one another.

i need someone to envision this w me and youre the kaishin brainrot god soooo <3

I absolutely LOVE the idea of a case hitting a little too close to home for Shinichi. It's not just for Kaito too. There's a child kidnapping? He hangs out with the detective boys. There's a serial rapist going around that targets young women? He constantly checks up on Ran and Sonoko.

For Shinichi to break down like that though, he must've been building it up for quite a while. I can only imagine that it's an ongoing case with several victims already. All probably similar to Kaito.

Megure wants to take him off the case because he knows Kaito is his boyfriend but there's no way Shinichi is gonna stop trying to catch a criminal who's targeting people with the same profile as Kaito.

Kaito must've seen Shinichi deteriorate too. Long cases always take a toll on Shinichi but Kaito can see that this one is different. For one, Shinichi seems determined not to tell him details other than asking him to be more careful and to just take a cab if he's going home late (Kaito would’ve been insulted for the lack of faith if not for how worried and distraught Shinichi looked). There's also the increase of coffee intake, the sleepless nights. The nightmares. (Also the increase in skinship and clinginess like you said!! the image of clingy, worried, and upset shinichi is too cute i want it so much lol).

He’s clingy and attached to Kaito by the hip whenever he’s around but for some reason Shinichi can’t look at him in the eye for too long. How could he when every time he see Kaito he remembers the bloodied remains of several victims that looks like him? How could he when he isn’t even close to catching the murderer that threatens his whole world? How could he when every time he looks at Kaito’s eyes, so full of love and life, he can almost see them staring at him: unseeing, dull, and lifeless.

Shinichi is frustrated because cases that he’s involve in don’t usually last this long and for some reason it had to be a case where there’s an actual threat to the love of his life. He’s tired, upset, frustrated, and little desperate to catch this guy already cause he’s about to go out of his mind with worry.

It’s not that he doesn’t trust Kaito to take care of himself. He does. It’s what he loves about their relationship. It’s what helps him sleep at night. But being bombarded by images of lifeless bodies that resemble Kaito while helpless to actually do something about it is haunting Shinichi. He trusts Kaito, he does. But he also needs control. He has to find this guy and make sure no more harm will come to anyone else. Especially Kaito.

Maybe what triggers Shinichi's breakdown is Kaito finally confronting him about it. There’s no way Kuroba Kaito of all people would see this happening and not do an investigation of his own. Extracting information is as easy as breathing to him after all. He asks Shinichi’s friends. He digs around Division 1. He knows now why Shinichi is acting like this. But a part of him wants Shinichi to tell him himself.

Still, Kaito would've brought it up sooner but this case was different that he was sure Shinichi would've deflected rather than communicated properly if he pushed. Kaito sees that it's gone too far though and decides to confront him.

“Shinichi, you need to talk to me.”

“Talk about what?”

“I know about the case.”

Shinichi’s eyes widen for a second and looks away. Kaito reaches for Shinichi’s hands and squeezes.

“Shinichi, look at me.”

“Please?”

Shinichi turns to look. He’s unsure and unsteady but Kaito’s gaze holds him firmly in place. Kaito lets go of his hands to hold both of his cheeks in a gentle caress. For the first time in weeks, Shinichi lets himself sink deep into Kaito’s gaze.

“Hey,” Kaito says softly as if trying not to spook him, “I’m here. I’m safe. I promise I’ll be safe. So please? Talk to me, Shinichi.”

Like cracks on a dam, Shinichi’s eyes water. His are brows furrows deeply and his jaw shut tight in stubbornness but he holds Kaito’s gaze, not yet ready to turn away after weeks of depriving himself of deep vibrant blue. He tries to will the tears threatening to fall away but Kaito’s gaze is so warm and safe and so so alive that he couldn’t stop even if he tried.

“Oh Shinichi.”

Kaito’s voice is soft and gentle but it pulls something deep in Shinichi. It’s too much. Shinichi’s lips quiver, closes his eyes, and finally lets his tears flow.

And then after that is what you wrote!!! The part where Kaito wraps Shinichi in his arms and Shinichi starts sobbing and clinging onto him like a lifeline. Kaito whispering sweet nothings and reassurances that makes Shinichi hold onto him tighter. And when Shinichi chokes back his tears to whisper back, “I just...I can’t lose you, Kaito. I-I can’t,” Kaito finds himself fighting back his own tears.

Omg 🖍️ for Tabby and Kristi!!

JDHSJDHDH im so normal about s3 tabby i promise i am sooo normal about this (<- is literally bursting with joy and excitement at the very thought of s3 tabby). i've said it before i think letting tabby leave was a masterful writing choice so while i'm just basically waiting to be surprised by her out-of-fromville s3 journey i do have some things i'm dying to see in how the people she left behind deal with her absence. she's... so important and she's going to be SO MISSED. jim jade and victor care a lot for her in different ways and they all played a part in helping her get out but they won't know that she's well :') will they blame each other? support each other? will julie and ethan blame jim for letting her go? will victor regret helping her and close off again? i don't know. basically what i'm saying is: what i want to see from tabby is the huge hole she's gonna leave behind. i hope the writers hold nothing back even tho it's gonna hurt to watch

i was really really happy to see the direction they took with kristi this season as well, i honestly never expected the marielle twist (i thought they were going to drag on her kenny dilemma until the very end of the show LOL) but it was so fresh and brilliant imo. also it gave us an important clue about the town (letting us know that time does not move differently in and out of the town, both kristi and marielle were in agreement that she kristi been gone for six months). what i'd like to see more of in s3 for her is her rebuilding her friendship with kenny and also potentially exploring other relationships. i think it was interesting how different the "true" kristi is from the "role" she had been playing as the town doctor (the version of her that kenny fell in love with) and it was honestly epic how marielle was able to make her feel like herself again. so what i want to see now is the real kristi interacting with the rest of the characters as this truer version of herself. i'd also love to see her take on a trainee — maybe julie? idk why that thought came to me but now that i've seen i can't unsee. she and marielle can be great queer role models for her as well <3 (you have to do this kristi... do you really want her queer role model to be jade???)

raya and the ugliest fucking dragon i've ever seen holy fuck who the hell thought to give a dragon fuckiNG EYEBROWS WHY WHY—

aka the musings of a filo non-binary bisexual who feels victimized by the dragon designs of this fucking movie supposedly centred around THE LAST DRAGON???? MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE STAYED STONE GDI WHAT THE FUCK SERIOUSLY WHY DO THE DRAGONS LOOK LIKE THAT

let's get one thing straight.

none of the characters in this movie. rest assured. not a single straight person was in this movie. trust me.

raya and the last dragon had all the foundations of a good movie

IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO GREAT

BUT IT WASNT

AND HERE'S WHY

(in my humble opinion okay pls dont come for me)

a disney movie with sea culture at its heart and soul, i was so hyped to finally watch this movie

(not as hyped as i could have been tho bc let's be honest DISNEY DID SHIT WITH RAYA'S MARKETING)

(AND PERHAPS FOR GOOD REASON LOL I SWEAR I DONT HATE THIS MOVIE OKAY)

you had the amazing score, the amazing concepts for plot and characters, the solid solid worldbuilding???

if you just told me about how raya's setting and premise, i'd probably be "wow this movie sound like the whole package"

and then i'll actually watch the movie and have just as much trust issue as raya did :/

but i digress

A DISNEY MOVIE WITH SEA CULTURE AT ITS HEART AND SOUL

do you know how diverse sea culture is??? VERY

and one thing i was very happy to see was how raya handled it

it was by no means perfect but

the subtle shows of culture in the way the characters acted, and the environment of the movie was just CHEF'S KISS

not only that but the ideas the movie had in terms of its world and the people in it felt genuine, it felt alive

a dragon that isn't the typical fire-breathing lizard

characters who look like they could easily be my neighbours or children i've played with

instead of pandering to this movie felt like an actual homage to sea cultures

and for good reason bc seeing all those familiar names rolling in the credits had me feeling some type of way :")

also that fucking soundtrack gave me chills throughout my watch of the movie

okay now that we've got the things i actually like about the movie, let's talk about what i don't like

if there's one word i could use to describe disney's raya it would be: rushed

like i said in the beginning, all the groundwork for an astounding disney movie were already there

but all of it just goes to waste bc the plot and it's characters feel so Unfinished

the movie felt like a bullet-point presentation of the story

WHICH IS SO FUCKING DISAPPOINTING BC THE CHARACTERS SEEMED SO INTERESTING but all we got were shadows of what they could have been

cardboard cutouts of the archetypes they filled

i'm not asking for a bottomless well of depth, but i at least wanted more for the cast than just: angry misunderstood princess, angry misunderstood princess with an undercut, that one dancing kid from moana but with more spice, boss baby, and the mountain

and i get that they had to sacrifice some of their depth to keep the run time of the movie short but you have got to be better than this disney

i hate to compare but it felt like this movie tried to go beyond what moana gave us, and shot so far that it ended up back to where it started, and then stumbled back a few steps

AND IM NOT EVEN SAYING A DRAGON MOVIE WITH A BIG CAST IS IMPOSSIBLE

BC IT'S ALREADY BEEN DONE

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON DID IT THREE TIMES

and you'd think the plot for one of the few disney movies with a non-western setting would have more than just a macguffin considering how batshit sea folk tales can be

but you'd think wrong folks.

GENUINELY IT FELT LIKE THEY WERE ATTEMPTING SOMETHING BUT WERE SHORT OF BRINGING IT TO FRUITION

sure moana had a macguffin too with the heart of te fiti, but the heart itself wasn't the heart of the movie

it was the journey of moana and maui

it was that BEAUTIFUL TWIST WITH TE KA AND TE FITI

ALL DELIVERED WITH A NATURAL FINESSE THAT HAD YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT

YOU WERE ALONG FOR THE RIDE OF THE STORY INSTEAD OF QUESTIONING EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING ON LIKE I WAS

maybe this was just me but like, i felt so bad for the friend who watched this movie with me bc all i could go on and on was how the plot felt like it was getting in the way of itself

why didn't the different kingdoms (??) kept the gem in rotation or smth, when did they decide that heart would keep it and then get mad at heart for keeping it????

why didn't awkwafina dragon just show herself to the kingdoms bc everyone seems to be in agreement that dragons good right? that they would be the key to getting rid of the druun right??? SO THEY'D ALL AT LEAST HEAR HER OUT OR SMTH RIGHT????????

and yes raya has trust issues but it seems to only spring up at the most convenient times plot-wise, we didn't really see her learn to trust other people again OTHER THAN THE TIMES WHERE SISU WOULD HAMFISTEDLY SHOVE IT DOWN OUR THROATS THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE GOOD SOMETIMES RAYA

we see it with boun, but then she just trusts noi, her monkeys, and tong THE GUY WHO STRUNG THEM UP AND WAS THREATENING TO TORTURE THEM????????

i'm gonna be honest and say that if it weren't for namaari i'd have absconded the moment sisu came on screen

as far as i'm considered the actual plot of the movie is just the entire sword fight scene between her and raya

and finally

we get to the part i will be erasing from my brain for my own mental well-being

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT DRAGON DESIGN

WHY OH WHY TH E FUCK DOES SISU SOUND AND LOOK LIKE THAT

my friend said they looked like the ponies from mlp in 3d AND NOW I CAN NEVER UNSEE IT

THEY HAVE EYEBROWS THEY HAVE HUMAN FACES

HUMAN FACES ON MAJESTIC DRAGON BODIES

THE INTERNET HAS COLLECTIVELY DECIDED THAT SISU IS BASICALLY FURRY ELSA

every time we got a sisu close up i lost 5 years to my life

disney i am suing for damages

if you want me to drop the charges i demand raya 2: electric boogaloo but it’s just raya and namaari enemies to friends to lovers ark

and also for them to never say dragon nerds ever again

AGAIN. HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON GAVE US BEAUTIFUL DRAGON DESIGNS. HELL IF YOU WANTED MORE EASTERN LOOKING DRAGONS FUCKING SPIRITED AWAY??? HAKU??????????

AND YKNOW WHAT. SISU WOULDN'T EVEN LOOK THAT HORRIFIC IF THE MOVIE WAS IN 2D

im not the first person to be side-eying disney's decision to keep pumping out these 3d movies but like.

no amount of added dimensions could ever make that dragon design okay

and there so many more points i could go off on to show how this movie was rushed

how the other dragons, and even sisu's siblings whom she had been missing for the entire movie DIDNT MAKE A SINGLE SOUND???? NOT EVEN A FUCKING GROWL DISNEY???? DID YOU EVEN TRY WITH THE DRAGONS AT ALL??? THE SUPPOSED CENTRE OF THIS MOVIE'S PLOT?????????

HOW THE CHIEFS OF THE OTHER KINGDOMS WERE BASICALLY PLOT DEVICES????

THAT ONE CHIEF'S SKELETON WAS MORE INTERESTING THAN ANY OF THEM COMBINED ALIVE

kudos to that one granny chief though

u can never have enough bad ass old ladies

AND GOD THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ANY OF THE CHARACTERS JUST FELT SO FORCED

ALONG WITH WHATEVER LESSON SISU WANTED TO IMPART ABOUT TRUST

children aren't stupid disney. if you tell your story well enough, they'll pick up on the messages you want to give them. YOU DONT HAVE TO THRUST EVERYTHING IN OUR FACES

i was exhausted by the time i finished this movie

bc i really wanted to love it. i wanted to feel more for it than just: well, it's a movie :)

i dont hate this movie though like it's not even worth the energy for that

i think that ultimately, despite all my issues with it, this movie was a step in the right direction when it comes to having non-western stories being told by non-western people in big name productions

i'm glad raya and the last dragon exists

i just can't help but be dissapointed though bc this movie put so much effort into putting my people and culture at its forefront but at what cost???

good characters and story for a good setting and design????

Hey so I can't stop thinking about Loki kiss as in why was Kang the conqueror included? This was weird enough for me that I measured the time of the kiss (about 9 seconds) and I measured the time that Kang was included (about 3 seconds). During about one third of the sylki kiss we could watch kang watch them kiss. Sylvie kisses Loki, they move and the camera moves with them but then, instead of stopping on them front and center, it includes blurry Kang. Who's just sitting there. Watching them. Was that supposed to be awkward/funny? Or dramatic bc Kang is so dangerous (even if he really doesn't seem to be)? Or make the whole thing just this bit weirder? Like it just makes no sense to me?? What was that about? (im asking here bc i genuinely would like to know the reason but anyway feel free to ignore me and release yourself of this ughh)

inatshej asked: Okay um I'm sorry about my previous ask about loki kissing scene. I just realised that kang was visible to foreshadow the ending where Sylvie still decided to kill him. Here's my thing about Si1ki: I have no problem with the ship (I mean, I ship Sherlock with himself sometimes, so I would be a hypocrite if I shat on the ship), but I JUST DON'T SEE IT; it felt REALLY forced. I understand the metaphor they were trying to go for (you need to love yourself before others) but like.... the WHOLE "romance" felt weird. Mobius, ON SCREEN, even said it was "sick and twisted", so like, once he said that, I couldn't unsee it, and I think that was the problem: You on screen still acknowledge it, yet you still go with it.

Almost like Disney is more okay with anything else than they are with queer relationships. But I digress.

Please note I am speaking from a Loki X Mobius bias, so take what you will from my thoughts. It felt like they really were gonna go there. But I'm the clown in believing Disney, after canonically confirming Loki's bisexuality, would go there. It's performative activism, and Disney, heaven forbid, have a story with a male and female lead and NOT make them romantic interests... It's SO TIRING. Because up until the weird... THING in Episode 4, I had high hopes they were gonna go the BFF's / sibling dynamic, but yeah, the romance felt REALLY forced and weird, and the kiss even moreso.

I don't think she really liked Loki "That Way", and used Loki's confused feelings against him. I say that because she REALLY showed NO interest in the whole thing they had in Episode 5, and he's just SO desperate for love and companionship that I think he is will take what he can get. The Lokius Hug in E5 felt REALLY genuine, like two people who care and understand each other, and two people who – if nothing else – share a platonic Philia love for each other. AND they had a chemistry that shined on screen. I don't FEEL that with Loki and Sylvie. They care about each other, that's all I really got out of it.

If they were writing a romance, I PERSONALLY thought it was poorly written and executed even worse. The kiss was cringe, didn't make the romance "more real" and didn't give me the same vibes that the hug did, and it SHOULDN'T do that if it was well written. BUT I've never been in any serious relationship ever, so what do I know. Maybe I'm just too ace to "get the clues" but even movies where I KNOW that the main characters are supposed to be together, I feel the chemistry. I love both Tom and Sophia as their characters, but the "romantic" chemistry wasn't there.

Anyway, just my own gripe about it all.

BUT YES, your second ask in regards to Kang being there is also how I took it, and the kiss was a distraction. He knew what she was going to do; he studied her character all his life, he KNEW she wasn't going to just NOT do it. She never had the love of her family, and bitterness and resentment is all she knew. She didn't get to go through the character arc / development that our 2012 Loki got to, and HONESTLY? I think it's because she didn't HAVE someone like Mobius who believed in her. And Loki knew that, and unfortunately, his verbal trust in her came too late.

That said, I think we'll see her again, but I don't think she's gonna ever be a "good guy"; she'll be a morally grey character like MCU Loki was, and will probably go out in the same way, somehow.

I do like her, I just REALLY felt like the whole romance was shoehorned in by some top exec at Disney who thought it wouldn't be successful without one.

Fighter~ Yang Jeongin

You were busy getting ready for the MMA match you were going to watch today, it was a pretty chilly night so you wore your warmest hoodie and a pair of jeans with some boots.

When you were done, you waited for your friend to come and pick you up. To be honest, you weren't really that excited to go, fighting was not something that interested you, whether it was a professional one or two drunks fighting on the sidewalk, you always turned around and left.

You weren't really sure why you agreed to go, maybe it's because you needed a change in your life. You have always wanted to try something new in your life, maybe this was it.

A knock on the door had interrupted you from your thoughts, you opened it and revealed your friend standing on the other side.

When you two arrived at the venue, you were surprised to see that it was a dark alleyway. You turn to look at your friend, hoping to get some answers.

"You're not gonna kill me here, right? I always thought you would take me to the forest or something. " you joked.

You're friend just chuckled. "There's a secret entrance in the alleyway. "

"Why do they need a secret entrance? " you asked. "I thought MMA fights took place at an arena. "

"This is not technically an MMA match. " he said, you gestured for him to explain further. "Basically, the junior MMA fighters come here to blow off some steam, on each other..."

"So this is like illegal fights happening here? "

"Essentially, yes it is. " he confessed.

"Alright, take me home. " you buckle up your seatbelt.

"What no! Please stay, it will be fun I promise. "

You thought about it for a little while. What was the worst that could happen? You won't get arrested because you didn't do anything wrong, and this was the change you were looking for.

You sighed after some time and nodded. "I'll go in, but only this one time! "

"Perfect. "

You both walked to the entrance of the alleyway, scooting closer to your friend you looked at the walls of the alleyway, you could smell the drugs and alcohol that people would've had when they were here. You swore you saw a bloodstain on the wall as well.

As you approached the back of the alleyway, on the wall to the right was a giant steel door, unnoticeable to the people who walk past the alleyway, it was a good hiding place.

Your friend knocks on the door, using some sort of secret knock pattern, the door opened slightly, enough for someone to slip through. You both walked in and the smell of weed immediately hit you, you chocked as you covered your nose with your sleeve.

"That's pretty intense. " Your friend mimicked your actions. You looked around and saw a small man standing at the door, he probably opened it. He had many scars on his face and his bald head was oddly misshapen.

He didn't say a word to the both of you but pointed to the run-down elevator straight ahead. You two took the elevator down since it was the only button there.

When the elevator stopped, the sounds of cheers and screams could be heard, when the doors opened, you were met with a more sloppy version of a fighting arena.

The area could seat maybe around one hundred people maximum, the seats surrounded a boxing rink that was splattered with a red substance which looked disturbingly like bloodstains.

"Let's go find a good seat. " your friend pulled you towards the middle row, it had a clear view of the rink. You sat down and looked around the area.

Half the seats were already taken, people were screaming and cheering at nothing, there was no fighting going on yet, in the far corner you saw people taking bets which disgusted you because gambling was a stupid thing.

"Do you know whose fighting? " you asked your friend.

"Apparently it's this dude who has never been defeated yet, he's kind of a huge deal here, I think he goes by the name I.N.," he says.

"I.N? " you can't help but feel like you saw that name somewhere. "What does he look like? "

"No one knows, he wears a mask. People think the only reason he wears it is because he is too young to be fighting but he really wants too. "

"That's, interesting? " you say, unsure of this I.N person.

The lights dimmed and you knew the match was starting, for some reason you had the urge to use the toilet, it was too much to handle.

"Hey, do you know where the restrooms are? "

"This is an illegal institute, you think they'll have restrooms here? " your friend replied.

"I really need to go. " you said.

"Uh, check over there. " he pointed at a doorway at the back of the arena.

You nodded and rushed to the doorway, pushing you way past people. You walked down the hallway and tried looking for any signs of a bathroom.

You found a door further down the hallway and thought you found what you were looking for so you pushed the door opened, but instead you were met with a sight you thought you would never unsee.

Reader's POV

I pushed the door opened and immediately regret what I saw.

"What are you doing here?! " screamed the voice of my former best friend and my school's biggest nerd, Yang Jeongin.

"I was looking for the restroom- " my eyes trailed down his naked torso, I blushed when I realised he was only wearing black supreme boxers.

"My eyes are up here! " he said harshly.

"S-Sorry. " I apologized. My eyes landed on a gym bag on the floor. Red boxing gloves were poking out of it, it didn't take me that long to realise what I was seeing.

"Y-you're I.N!" I said looking at him in disbelief.

He sighed and looked at me with his sharp eyes.

"You're the first person to figure it out. " he said.

"But, you're like- you're bullied at school, but you're undefeated here- " I was unable to comprehend what was happening.

"Glad you noticed I am bullied, thanks for your help. " he glared at me.

"Im sorry. I was afraid that if I interfered, I would- "

"Get hurt yourself? Wow, people really only think about them themselvese chuckled sarcastically, putting on his pants.

"That's not true! I try and help people in need! "

"Then I ask, when I was being bullied, punched and kicked, assaulted, where were you? "

"I- I walked away. " I looked down at my shoes.

"Thought so. "

"But you can defend yourself! Why play the victim in school when come coming and do illegal fights?! Why are you blaming me when you can defend yourself?! "

"Why do I need to explain myself to you?! I don't owe you any eanaination. " he turned around.

Suddenly, my urge to use the toilet disappeared, but I was angry.

"What gives you the right to yell at me for not helping me you when you can protect yourself?! You made me feel guilty for years! " I walked up to him and made him face me, our faces were so close together, I could feel his breath of my lips.

"You should feel guilty! Leaving me for those so called 'popular' people! " he put air quotes around 'popular'.

"I was trying to be nice to them, it's not my fault you can't make friends! Just because no one wants to be friends with you doesn't mean they don't want to be friends with me! It's not my fault you were weak!" I yelled back at him, immediately regretting the words I let slip out.

Jeongin took a step back and looked at me with an expressionless face.

"Jeongin I didn't mean- "

"Save it. " he grabbed a black mask and put it on, "I don't need fake people like you in my life. "

He walked out if the room, I followed him trying to find the words to say but I couldn't think of anything. I really screwed up. He walked out into the arena and I stood at the doorway and watched him.

"Ladies and Gentleman! Here is the man we've been waiting for! The Undefeated I.N! " the commentator screamed, his voice blasting across the whole arena.

"Daring to challenge him is the newcomer goes by the name of Destruction Monster! "

Throughout the whole match, Jeongin didn't punch his opponent a single time, he just dodged all the punched and kicks that were thrown at him.

I had to admit I was impressed with him, he didn't do much to tire his opponent, his technique was more defence than offence. It was a smart technique.

Destruction Monster had enough of Jeongin playing around with him, he threw a fast punch at Jeongin which caught him off guard and hit him in his jaw.

I winced as Jeongin's lips started to bleed. He touches the blood on his lip and smirked at his opponent, who was busy celebrating rather than watching him.

Jeongin came from behind him and put him in a chock hole, instantly knocking him out.

"Destruction Monster has been hit with the chock hole, he is out like a light! I.N remains the champion! "

Screams erupted front the crowd and Jeongin walked out of the rink and straight to me, pulling if his mask in front of everyone. Everyone gasped as they watched him, I backed into the wall, getting more scared as he

"Not so weak now am I? " he pulled me towards him and placed his lips on mine.

I was shocked at the sudden action, but melted into the kiss. His lips were soft but sticky from the blood that was still on it. Between the intense kiss and the sounds of the crowd cheering, I think this was the change I needed in my life.

So i set the book down for quite a long while and for some reason didn’t go back to it, maybe depression and the entire year that has been 2020. But i am back to reading it. Reminder there will be spoilers!!!!!!!!!

Mellow, quiet instrumentals hit Richie’s ears as soon as he pulled his front door open. He closed it quietly behind him, toeing off his shoes and leaving them on the rack. His fingers quickly found the knot of his tie, pulling it loose to free him from the constricting weight it placed on his neck. He glanced around the open-plan first floor of the home he shared with his lover, the boy he’d held in his arms since fourteen years old, unable to spot the man in question. The notes drifting to him seemed to come from beyond the room, but weren’t floating from upstairs. Smiling to himself as he deduced the location of his love, he slipped off one sock at a time, leaving a trail of smelly garments through their kitchen. When he reached the french doors to the back patio, he ditched the tie completely, hanging it around one of the doorknobs. Next came the belt, mirroring the other’s position on the opposite side. Once both knobs were adorned, Richie grabbed them both and flung the doors open with fervor.

From his position atop a plastic floating island in the center of their pool, his husband raised his eyes to greet him. Eddie sat in swim shorts, the muted yellow ones that drove Richie downright insane, sunglasses perched on the edge of his nose and a mammoth of a novel grasped in his hands. The summer sun illuminated his evenly tanned skin in a honey warm glow, each freckle standing out just so, adding shading and dimension to his tone. His hair held a kaleidoscope of chocolates and caramels, silken smooth to the touch as he knew so well from all the years running his fingers through it. After a day drowning in dissertations and essays written by students who’d never once learned MLA, the sight was an oasis for his worn out eyes. He sighed contentedly, barely taking in Eddie’s look of surprise at the interruption. Near the edge of the pool deck, the outdoor speaker disguised as a garden gnome Richie had purchased a few years previous was unleashing dulcet tones of light jazz through their yard and home. The sound relaxed him to his bones, everything about the world around him in that moment screaming-

“You’re home.” Eddie’s voice shone through a smile.

“I’m home.” Richie nodded. “You look comfortable.”

“I’m having some me time.” Eddie smirked conspiratorially. “Care to join?” He closed the book after marking his page, making as if to paddle to the edge.

“Stay right there.” Richie held up a hand, before reaching up to remove his glasses. He folded them and threw them carelessly onto the cushy lawn near his feet, before bending to roll up the ankles of his pants. “I’d love to.”

“How were classes today?” Eddie asked, leaning back on the support of the float he rested on.

“Same as always. Enjoying your staycation?” Richie smiled as he straightened back up.

“More so now that you’re home.” Eddie peered at him over the rim of his sunglasses playfully.

“Yeah,” Richie shrugged his shoulders, rolling his arms a bit, his tone almost apologetic. “I’m gonna have to make you regret that comment.”

“What-” Eddie started, squinting at Richie in confusion for a moment, before fear quickly replaced it as Richie ran at the pool, full-tilt. He had no time to protest before the man was cannon-balling in next to him, fully clothed. The waves from the impact sent Eddie toppling, book and sunglasses reluctantly joining him. He came up for air as quickly as he could, spotting Richie nearby following suit, shaking his sopping curls as he belly-laughed.

“RICHARD!” Eddie yelled, splashing another stream of water in Richie’s flushed face. He only laughed more as he swam over, arms enveloping Eddie’s midsection as he treaded water. “You knocked my book in!”

“I’ll buy you a new one.” He brushed off the worry, the soggy book in question floating past his head as he swam backwards, pulling Eddie to the section of the pool where Richie could reach and he couldn’t. “C’mere, Spaghetti.” He said in his soft, velvety voice he always used when he was being particularly needy. Eddie still kept up his protests, feebly wiggling to try and escape the grip, but Richie only held him closer, eyes closed as he nuzzled at Eddie’s exposed chest.

“That was an expensive book, Rich.”

“Lucky for you I happen to have some money.” Richie kissed at his collar bone, the heat from the sun still radiating from Eddie’s skin and warming him to his core. “You’re just so easy to get baby, I had to.”

“Well I was happy you were home.” Eddie griped, body betraying his tone as his arms and legs began to snake around his lover and interlock, the heels of his feet meeting soaking wet denim, his hands running over a button up that the chlorine would most definitely end up ruining. But as with every thing else in life, Richie was simply undeterred by the small things. It was what enamored Eddie so much from the start; if Richie wanted something, he went for it, minutiae be damned. He’d destroy a million articles of clothing if it meant he could get Eddie in his arms.

“Shut up, you love me.” Richie leaned up to meet his gaze, squinting at him slightly as his eyesight dictated he need do.

“I sure do.” Eddie smiled into the kiss they suddenly shared, Richie’s lips against his both simultaneously a surprise and not. Even when he wasn’t prepared for one, every kiss they shared felt as natural and as necessary as breathing. It was the air in his lungs.

“Five whole days, just the two of us. Nowhere to go and nothing to do.” Richie mumbled against his lips, swaying them slightly to the song as Eddie held him closer.

“We should have sex in the pool.” Eddie suggested after a beat. Richie barked out a laugh.

“Two questions,” He said through the residual giggles. “One: is that a serious suggestion, and two, if so, canwerightnowplease?” He started peppering Eddie’s face with smacking kisses, making sure to hit every freckle he could find. Eddie laughed along with him, face scrunching up with his smile. Richie relented his attack to watch his appearance, drinking in as much of it as he could manage before Eddie stopped laughing, returning Richie’s gaze with a slightly mischievous expression.

“Why don’t you find out if I mean it?” He challenged, hands snaking up into Richie’s mangled locks, grin cracking open as Richie peered at him.

“Why, you saucy little minx.” He mocked, his best Barney Stinson voice on full display. Eddie laughed again, shaking his head.

“You’ve been watching too much How I Met Your Mother.” He rested his forehead against Richie’s, his whole body relaxing again as Richie swayed.

“Yeah, well, who’s gonna get laid tonight, huh?” He shimmied his shoulders, waggling his eyebrows suggestively.

“Not you if you keep bragging like that.” Eddie said sternly, earning a pout.

“But honey-bun, I missed ya all day!”

“Whining doesn’t help.” Eddie shrugged, enjoying the hell out of how easy it was to get Richie so mopey and craving his attention.

“What about this, then?” His face suddenly breaking out into a smug look, before surging up to meet Eddie with a passionate kiss. He sighed and melted into it, the summer sun and gentle music lulling him into a pliant state. Hey, so what if the gnome has to see some things it can’t unsee, he figured. It’s my fucking vacation.

My Favorite Ladybug Writers

So I pretty recently joined the Miraculous Ladybug fandom (about 4 months?) and I went on an absolute reading spree but Noticed a lot of the fic rec lists out there are pretty sparse or there's a lot of repetition. And I figured, ya know I just read nearly 300 fics over the last few months I might as well make some recommendations XD

So this is the first of possibly many rec lists Im going to put together for the Ladybug fandom. enjoy!

Quicksilversquared

This writer has 89(!!!) Fanfics out there for Miraculous Ladybug and they are pretty much ALL wonderful. The writing is excellent, characterization on point and there's never a boring moment. And the great thing is that most of these stories (even the serious/heavy ones) have some degree of playfulness to them. This writer never seems to let you walk away without a smile, and that's amazing.

Here are a few of my favorites:

The Cooking Contest - An out-of-class assignment leads to the entirety of the class participating in a cooking competition. …some people do better than others.

the Anniversary - The anniversary of Adrien's mother's disappearance was always difficult. He's sure nothing can make his day any less miserable… ...until a certain spotted superhero shows up.

the Crocodile Glasses - When knock-off copies of Jagged Stone's super-awesome Eiffel Tower start popping up, Jagged is not pleased. Still, it doesn't take long to come up with a solution- he just needs to release his own official line of sunglasses! And naturally, he needs one Marinette Dupain-Cheng to design them for him. Now, if only Marinette could figure out how to execute some of Jagged's more out-there ideas...

Hacking the Ladyblog - Chat Noir likes taking goofy pictures on patrol. That was normal. What was not normal was those photos showing up without any explanation on the Ladyblog.

Princess to the Rescue - Chat Noir gets into a bit of trouble when the akumatized magician Exodus the Spectacular overpowers him in a fight and Ladybug is nowhere to be seen. Thankfully, a baker’s daughter joins the fight. aka Marinette totally has Bo staff fight training and kicks some villain butt.

Cuddles in a Coat - In a lot of ways, Adrien Agreste isn't a normal teenage boy. He's a model, he has a bodyguard, he's secretly a superhero.... But just like any other teenager, he'll stubbornly refuse to admit when an adult was right. Even if he ends up freezing because of it.

Otoshigo Another talented writer is Otoshigo who seems to straddle the border of utterly adorable (see: For the Love of Shoujo ) and Slightly twisted (See: Benefactor ) or even dark. This writer can play the characters as the awkward blushing teens they are, and they can just as easily (and convincingly!!!) twist their perceptions ever so slightly toward something deeper (and slightly terrifying)

Some of the stories CAN be really weird and out there, but hey, read the tags so you know what you’re getting into and you won't have any trouble. (shrugs)

Some more of my favorites include:

27 Secrets - “Secrets,” Chat purred, waving the photo out like a little flag. “I want secrets. Twenty-seven pictures worth of secrets. And you’ll give them to me. One picture at a time.” [Shameless Marichat]

Caught and Captured - Adrien gets caught in a little lie, that somehow only spirals more and more out of control. Is there any way to pull himself out of it? Does he even want to? [Adrienette]

(Adrien acts like cat noir around Marinette and she thinks they've body-swapped. X3 This story Is simultaneously hilarious and heart-wrenching)

Marinette Saves the World - Through a series of unfortunate events, average and clumsy Marinette meets a boy from the future! Who says that he needs to have sex with her to save the world? Except no. Just... no.

(OMG this one!!! Drop what you’re doing and read it NOW!!! It's so freaking sweet and seriously romantic!!!)

Guilty Pleasures - An anonymous writer is a little too good at writing fanfiction and Marinette somehow gets roped into reading it. Problem is, now she can’t put it down. [LadyNoir]

Chat Noir: Calendar Edition - Marinette’s class has to come up with an idea to make some cash for their upcoming class trip. However, things go awry with their plan and somehow Chat Noir gets involved. All Marinette wants is to go to Nice with Adrien. Can she make it through this without losing her mind?

Clairelutra Next up is Clairelutra who seems to make it a goal to melt her readers to piles of goo with sexual tension so thick you COULDN'T cut it with a knife. (Almost all her stories are rated as at least T) but, (as much as I love sexual tension and smut in a fic) That’s far from all this writer brings to the table. Clairelutra is a master at grabbing a readers heart and "puppeteering" (puppeteer, haha) it any way she so chooses.

Whether she deigns to make you tear up and/or cry : ( see: river flows in you) Or gets your heart racing in her action scenes ( see: welcome to the show) or makes your toes curl during a kiss ( ALSO see: welcome to the show, and Bang Bang, and... ahem. well there are a lot.) And there's that (WONDERFUL AMAZING PRECIOUS) element of tenderness and longing in just about EVERY romantic scene that just KILLS me every time.

Anyway, some of my favorites of hers include:

gonna miss this someday - “I mean, am I just too clingy?” Chat asked her ceiling, reclining on her lounge and tossing a spare ball of yarn up and down as Marinette beaded with a vengeance. “I know it’s just one day, but I miss her.”(When Ladybug misses their nightly friend-date, Chat asks Marinette for girl advice.)

i think it’s time i told you (i’m a fan of your universe) - “...Something up, minou?” He didn’t answer her at first, staying silent as he opened his palm and stared at it. Or rather, stared at the ring in it.

Ladybug stared, almost unseeing, at the blood-red stone nestled in its bed of diamonds, and wondered why it suddenly felt like she couldn’t breathe.

(It wasn’t necessarily an engagement ring, right? She... she would’ve known if he had a lover, wouldn’t she? Chat was too much of a hopeless romantic to not gush about a significant other to anyone who would listen if he had one... right?

It could be a memento or a gift or... something. Something that didn’t imply Chat was about to get married.)

“...Have you ever thought about getting married?” ...Or not.

you're really my dearest friend - Sometimes, the process of getting out is much more difficult than it really should be — but sometimes friends can help, if you let them.

we're the kids your mama warned you about - (A collection of PWP oneshots, mostly focusing on Ladynoir/the love square, as I try to teach myself how to sin.)

hot mess - (the sequel to Bang Bang ) ...What did one say to one's vigilante partner when said partner was in costume and he was in a bathrobe? What did one say to the lady who had pinned him to a wall and kissed him senseless, not knowing he was her partner? What did one say to the girl he had been in love with for years when he was alone with her in his room at night? "Come here often, beautiful?" Not that. Imthepunchlord Oh wow, here's a writer who knows how to balance playful with exciting really well. A lot of their fics are action/adventure driven plots and they know how to build up to that big fight at the end without making you spend half the fic dreading it. There's always too much happening for you to feel much besides excitement. Which, honestly, I LOVED about these stories. They keep the ball rolling at a great pace and never seems to rely on exposition when they can just show you something. And that lends itself to the feeling of being right there in the story with the character. (A MUST for any good action/adventure) This writer also knows how to stretch the rules with magic and the kwami juuust right to make everything fit and still be believable (a gift if ever I saw one)

Some of my favorites from Iamthepunchlord are:

Marinette and the Seven Little Gods - Marinette been down on her luck, waiting for the day karma would give her something good, something that would make her life better! She wasn't expecting karma to give her a box, a box with seven little gods in it.

Over the Wall - The accident, while unintentional, was costly. For her wrong doings against Chloe, Marinette is sent over the wall to die. But instead of death, she winds up in a strange, unnerving world. Good thing she'll have a cat to watch her back in this bizarre place. (inspired by a mix of movies and shows: Stardust, Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Secret of Moonacre, and Over the Garden Wall.)

Trouble in White - Finding your soulmate is supposed to be uplifting, and amazing, and just... miraculous. But for Marinette, it wasn't any of that. Her soulmate, he... he was... What does one do when your soulmate is an akuma?

The Ladybug and The Mer - When Captain Ladybug is lost at sea, she finds herself saved by one of the most dangerous sea beings in the world: a mer. (Merman Adrien AU)

Always a Hero, No Matter the Miraculous - (a LARGE series) it covers a big variety of Miraculous/kwami swaps. Including such favorites as:

Rise of Mariposa - Where Marinette is chosen by the butterfly to help Cat Noir in his fight against Harlequin who has taken possession of the ladybug miraculous for her own selfish gain.

& the short: Delicate Wings - Where Adrien is the butterfly helping ladybug fight the evil black cat from afar.

Kindness from a Stray - where Adrien and Marinette have kwami swapped (There are several shorts like this, all equally funny/cute)

A Declaration of Love - Adrien is the fox and Marinette is the peacock <3

(oh GOD I love this one. it's an all-time favorite. It’s very sweet and playful and its done so well that it just WORKS. I love the conflict of his feather allergy keeping Adrien (AKA Malin) from his beloved Belle Bleue XD)

Freedom_Shamrock If fluff is your thing PLEASE check this writer out!!! Freedom_Shamrock is a master of cuddles, snuggles, and hugs. Their stories just exude a soft comforting vibe that sinks into your bones and stays there for the rest of the day. But they are also INTERESTING. The conversations are memorable, The plots are intriguing and the characterization is lovely. If you want something sweetly romantic to read look no further.

Some of my personal favorites include:

Something Familiar - Marinette is a teenage witch, and it's time for her to find a familiar. (Witch AU, no kwamis, Adrien never got to go to school) ( HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!! Cutest cat!Adrien fic EVER )

A Little Light - (series) its basically an adorable series where Adrien notices Marinette on his own and asks her out. It follows up with their first date, some problems with dating while being a superhero, and then an accidental reveal. (every bit of this one is SO SO CUTE.)

Hugdrien (AKA: Adrien Needs Hugs) - (series) With this one the name pretty much says it all. It’s a series of stories where Adrien is having a tough time at home and Marinette and their friends/her family are there for him.

Miraculous Acts of Kindness - (series) this series is basically a slowburn MariChat fic XD It’s super cute and fluffy but also leads into Mature waters so be aware of that! BullySquadess @bullysquadess

Here's another writer who's clearly out to melt her readers with sexual tension But BullySquadess is out to do it with a goddamn VENGEANCE. (and she WILL make you laugh yourself to death getting there) Her stories are drop dead sexy and SUPER funny. It's the kind of well-built humor that has you cackling so loud people can hear you across the house and forces you to take breaks from reading just to BREATHE. I think the best part of this writers style for me is the hopeful longing she just pulls out of Chat like its the most natural thing in the world. It’s so so so so so sweet and it plays to his character perfectly. and she gets it just right every time. word of caution: the writer multi-ships so if you don't dig it then check the tags before getting invested. XD

My favorites of hers include:

The Ladybugs and The Bees - Ladybug and Chat Noir tackle teenhood! Watch our heroes face the realities of growing up- surviving puberty and akuma alike as together they navigate the unknown pitfalls of love and first-time intimacy. Also dick jokes. There's like... alot of dick jokes.

Oh man who hasn't read this one? It's been on like every fic rec list i could find when i first joined the fandom. But oh WOW does it deserve it. This sucker is 38 (!!!) chapters long so far (!!??) and I've read it THREE TIMES. I joined the fandom like FOUR months ago! And yet I keep coming back to this one becouse it's just SO GOOD.

Seven Minutes - Post-Reveal, Adrien and Marinette continue to play chicken with their feeling. Alya, however, has other games in mind...

Live by the Ladybutt - Chat likes Ladybug's Ladybutt. Ladybug likes that Chat likes her Ladybutt. Crack ensues.

Casual - Ladybug has grown exceptionally comfortable with her partner... which means Chat Noir is #suffering.

The Pitfalls Of Being a Wingman - We all know the classic Marichat tale, but what's happening behind the scenes of our favorite duo's love-making? (AKA Plagg regrets everything and it’s HILARIOUS) XDD

Cohabitation (And Other Disastrous Ideas) - These two best friends decide to move in together, what happens next will shock you! (Or not, considering all roommate fics end up the same anyhow.) thelastpilot

Oh man, all of this writer's stories have this element of almost poetic beauty to them that it's really hard to describe the style. There's never a word or a scene wasted with this writer. It's all about slowly building up that relationship brick by brick, SEEING the characters getting closer and closer with every new meeting and then finishing it off in a MASSIVELY fulfilling way. The humor is top notch too but it seems to take a backseat to the plot and considering how well done the plot typically is I have no problem with that.

word of caution- This writer multi-ships so If you're like me and looking for a specific pairing remember to check the tags! XD

My personal favorites of this writer include:

Won't Tell a Soul - Nino accidentally runs head long into the biggest most stressful secret he can imagine, but now that he knows the truth about Marinette he is determined to help her in any way he can. (Adrien Agreste/Marinette Dupain-Cheng)

& Its sequel: The Weight of Jade - which shockingly (for this list) centers around Nino/Alya. This writer really knows how to get their characters across in all the best ways. This is one of the few times in fanfiction I really found myself really enjoying a side character's story and that's something HUGE.

Rainy Days - A storm rolls through Paris and refuses to let up, so when a water fearing cat is rescued by the kind efforts of his designing classmate he starts to pay a little closer attention to someone he should have always known better.

Quiet Ice, Silent Nights - Cat Noir is on a late night patrol when he catches sight of an elegant lone figure skater, and is surprised to discover it is his classmate Marinette.

Okay, this one is simply put, a work of ART. It is beautiful. The way the writer lovingly describes the ice skating and (spoilers: the piano scenes) makes you really FEEL the beauty of the moment. It’s so lovely.~ Seriously, drop what you're doing and read this if you haven't already

Paw Problems - (An alternate version of the Animan Episode) The class has taken a field trip to the zoo, but when Kim starts being a jerk and creates a major situation, are Ladybug and Cat Noir going to be enough to get everyone out on two feet? Or are the classmates going to need to get used to paws, hooves, and talons? Sadly, this one's unfinished. But let me say I LOVED the little snippets of humor in this, especially Chloe's animal form and Nino's reaction to it. XD KryallaOrchid The style KryallaOrchid uses is pretty similar to Quicksilversquared in that the stories all have some degree of playfulness and humor to them ( I love that in fics) but they also aim for something a little deeper too. this writer likes to play on the idea of rightness between the characters and builds off it as they go. (I'm all for the 'soulmate' vibe Adrien and Marinette have going on)

Some favorites are:

Tendencies - (series) Miraculous have side effects. From pats becoming a necessity to eating flowers, follow Adrien and Marinette as they come to terms with their new tendencies, and each other. Hawk Moth is coming.

This is a LOOOOOONG series and makes for a very entertaining read.

Sting - When Chat Noir inexplicably disappears, leaving Ladybug bee-hind to face Papillon on her own, a new wielder is chosen to keep the akuma from swarming. Ladybug is adamant she doesn’t want another partner buzzing around and why is this new-bee flirting with her? Meanwhile, Adrien just wishes Ladybug would stop bugging out and listen to him because his bee puns are fuzz-tastic.

I seriously went into this one thinking I wasn't going to like it and I ended up falling head over heels for it. Sting is SO worth the read. Watching poor Ladybug freak out over her missing partner (sending him voicemails wondering where he is and trying to reassure him she's not 'replacing' him with this new bee hero and that she's going to get him back ) Is so SO SOO heart wrenching and sweet.

(and thankfully Adrien DOES manage to get through to her that Chat IS 'Bumblebee’ fairly early on so we aren't left stewing in angst FOREVER)

I HAVE TO THINK MORE ABOUT THEM BC OH NO THEYRE CUTE but girl is chasing after some nb femme prodigy who she's rivals with and admires for more than just her skill theyre both emotionally constipated idiots tho so its like. (hand touch) thats enough for 100 years there is. so much tension. and prodigy seems so perfect on the outside but is actually in some kind of super strict fucked up program bc of her skill, and she hated it and is suffering ace pilot is the one to barge in headstrong and fuck everything up and get her out of there girl believes prodigy is amazing. really. incredible. a part of her feels like she'll never catch up . but even so watching prodigy walk into the unknown unflinchingly resolute ... it's both sad in a way bc she's being left behind but also she wouldnt have it any other way bc she thinks forward is the only way prodigy should be facing. its what inspires her. that strength ... h they definitely settle down together in the future tho bc i need ththattt

I GUESS IM GONNA DEVELOP AMBROSE MORE ive only written him as a young adult but as a teen hes angry and rebellious and got drafted, ended up being a simple foot soldier but he meets jonah and a lot changes jonah's there on top secret bullshit, same program as astrid definitely has some shit to do With Experiments. astrid has enhanced eyesight/coordination on top of being an ace combat pilot, i think jonah might be able to open up warp gates or limited pocket space mephis is evil scientist who doesnt care abt casualties

I'm thinking about unnamed pilot lesbians and i am. enamored immediately holy shit god they're both so goal oriented and focused but once the fighting is finally over they finally allow themselves to embrace the intensity of their emotions for eachother and i am fucking perishing they were essentially raised as child soldiers so it's this clumsy process of trying to figure things out for the first time, this kind of innocent but intense and blooming love between two hardened soldiers, the years of war coming away when they're together for the first time actually fuck i did name them but i'm still not sure about ace pilot girl? i want to name her lane or something monosyllable, maybe i'll revamp raine and make her this oc instead... either way i'm just. ugh. UGH. FUCK. holy shit they love eachother so much

I"M GETTING REALLY FUCKED UP ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF THE PRODIGY (ASTRID) DYING IN THE LINE OF DUTY or well at least goes missing, presumed dead but raine just... doesn't believe it. astrid can't die. she's too amazing. there's no way fucking. huge disbelief. she refuses? raine going on a near suicidal self-appointed mission against commander's orders to rescue her, khemrin tries to hold her back but he can't, she' fucking gone speeding off on one of the fastest scouting ships she can hijack raine finding her alive but barely conscious in a damaged cockpit floating in space for who knows how long, raine unable to open the hatch and get to her but anchors her ship to hers, NOT EFFECTIVE BUT HER ONLY REAL CHOICE w/o compromising the air seal. makes the journey back astrid barely makes it to the space equivalent of a truck stop (unaffiliated) and raine calls for backup in panic and tries her best to tend to astrid's wounds an feed her and she's fucking PANICKING but trying so hard to keep it together astrid wakes up and raine's crying i don't have anything specific its just really soft and raine never Does this god when they meet again after the war, raine running her fingers over the scar left from astrid's helmet shattering h raine in a tux and astrid dressed like a princess and raine kissing her shoe sorry im gay bye

Guzma, however, did laugh. A deep chuckle that sent shivers down young Rodens spine. He cleared his throat and continued, answering Lochs question the best he could. “I-I’ve heard many stories of your gang from all over Alola, sir. I was here on a mission to investigate criminal activity with my unit, but once I heard enough I began to admire you and your team. I heard that you fight to abolish unfair laws and traditions on these islands, you help young Alolans who never got a chance in life, among other things, and…” He took another deep breath. “While I wasn’t born into poverty or gang violence, I do know what it’s like to live every day feeling like I deserve better, and–” Roden was cut off by a fist colliding with his back, winding him, and the female grunt roaring at him viciously. “THE FUCK D'YOU KNOW ‘BOUT ANY OF THIS, HOMEBOY?! YOU A HALF BREED AND A RAT. BETCHA BEEN EATIN’ OUT A SILVER DISH YA WHOLE LIFE WHILE WE BEEN STRUGGLIN’ TO FIND SCRAPS!!” Eventually her male counterpart stepped in to restrain her and calm her down, not because he was concerned for the boy, but because he’d spotted how Guzma was glaring at her so disapprovingly. After a moment Roden got to his feet again, rubbing the places he’d been punched. Guzma looked him up and down, before gesturing silently for him to continue. Roden breathed slowly. “The truth is, sir…never in my life have I wanted to be in the army. My father, a haole and a military man, forced me to begin training when I was very small, distanced me from my sickly mother…eventually sent me away to Kanto against my will. I trained for two years in that hell. I saw things I can never unsee, I was abused and treated like garbage, that I wasn’t worth a damn and my skills were disposable at best.” Guzma listened, tapping one foot on the ground slowly. “I came back just last week on this mission, only to find out my mother had died of her illness. She was the last person I had on this earth who cared about me, and now she’s gone, and I never got to say goodbye.” …at some point during his speech, he’d become more flustered, growing angry at himself but never letting the tears flow. He still stood perfectly straight, barely moving a muscle. “I blame my father, and I will never forgive him. He taught me ever since I was young, that sentiments make me weak, and that without people to lose, life will be easier for me, but now that I have nobody left…I believe the opposite is true. I believe that we’re stronger in numbers; I’ve seen it, I’ve seen what a pack of mediocre wolves can do in the field versus one skilled wolf. A pack is the only way to survive. A strong pack comes out on top and gets what it wants. I know a strong pack when I see one, sir. From what I’ve seen and heard, you’d die for each other. I want so desperately to be a part of it. I’ll do anything to prove my loyalty to you, sir. Anything.”

… Guzma took a good few minutes to think long and hard about what he’d heard. He cast a few glances at Loch, as if looking for a second opinion on the matter, until finally, he sighed through his nose and spoke. “Well, kid, ya should write a damn novel.” It was sarcastic, but in a less degrading tone than before. “…ugh, I’m gonna regret this but…from now on, you’ll be known as Grunt R.” The two grunts gawked, jaws dropping simultaneously. Roden’s eyes lit up. “BUT.” All three flinched. “…until you’ve proven yaself t'me, you’ll be under strict supervision, y'understand? Can’t have ya runnin’ off or doin’ no stupid shit. Obviously you ain’t used to life on the street. We’ll have t'get ya accustomed to that if you wanna be a true member of Skull.” Guzmas eyes drifted up to his guard. “Loch. I want you t'keep an eye on 'im. Teach 'im the rules an’ make sure he knows what we do an’ how we do it.” The flabbergasted grunts tried to interject, stuttering and arguing. “B-but Boss, he’s a rat!! Ya can’t jus’ let someone like him loose in here, he’ll cause an uproar, c'mon Bo–” “SHUT UP.” Guzmas voice echoed through the walls. “This kid, whether ya like it or not, is with us now, so shut up, or get out.” His gaze was like thunder, and the grunts whimpered as they both left the room. Roden, despite trying to look disciplined, was grinning. “Sir, you have no idea how much this means to me, how much of an honour–” Guzma stopped him by holding up a hand. “First rule of adressin’ the Boss; don’t, unless asked.” Roden bit his tongue, before nodding and saluting. “Yes, sir.” Guzma rubbed the bridge of his nose, sighing. “So, Loch, take R to get fitted for a uniform, an’ show 'im to the sleepin’ quarters.” Roden turned to Loch, eyes still wide with happiness.

Tonight I might kill myself

It all started when I was a little girl and no matter what my mother says, I feel that my childhood has been taken away from me at a very young age.

My father was a drug addict and a theif. At age 6 six or maybe even before, my parents had a huge fight, there was broken glass everywhere, screams and curses. One by one my parents broke plate by plate, glass by glass, until there was nothing left. I was so young, that all I can do is to try to call my grandmother on our big and yellow 90s phone. When my father saw that, he came, took it away from me and threw it to the wall. Yellow plastic was everywhere and I felt that I am going to be the next one to meet the wall.

My father was a great father first years of my life. He was always thoughtful, loving and caring. I felt that I get more love from him, than from the woman who gave birth to me. I don’t think she is bad and never thought, her life was a mess, her parents was strict, her father was violent, she had me by accident and her husband was an abusive drug addict.

But this day I will remember for my whole life, the day that my father became violent towards me. And that day, that day when he left the house, the last thing I wanted is to stand in front of him begging not to leave, as I used to do every other fight they had. So for the first time he left the house because I didn’t stopped him.

Time went by, and minute by minute, second by second my life became hell. Of course, there is people that in way worse condition than me, people that live through hell every day and it is so selfish to say that my life is bad, but I believe that everyone have their own kind of hell.

One day, I think I was about 7-8 years old, I sat at my grandparents house, doing my homework with my cousin. I heard that my mom came home, and when I saw her my mind went all crazy. She told me that we are moving to my grandparents. No explanation, no saying goodbye to my friends, to my room, to my house... At first I was so happy, who’s not happy to live with their loving grandparents every single day? Sadly no one told me that there is a huge difference between living with them to visiting them on Sundays.

I am 23 now, and trully, all I wish is a second to get to that place where I grew in. To walk on the street where my parents used to walk with me. To look at the playground where my father with few others builded a swings for us (it was pretty poor neighborhood so at our playground we used to have only rocks and sand). All I want is to go there and breath in what have left of my childhood.

So, me, my mother and my little brother mooved to my grandparents house. At first they where all welcoming and loving, but then it all faded away. My grandfather was and alcoholic, so that was new to me. I did not had a room and slept with my grandma, but I was little and didnt really care about that. And then my mother had to find a job.

So while my father was a part time in jail and when not, came to see us once in never and did not paid his alimony... My mother was working her ass off at some job where she had to be out of the house for a month, every second month.

So when she was away, I had to be a responsible big sister and to take care of my little brother. I did all I had to and all I did not wanted to. If I had to go out and look after my brother playing in the sand instead of ... I don’t know, doing my homework, watching a tv, playing with my friends or whatever I did that. Dishes? Done that everyday. Clean the house? Been there, done that every day. Now it might look like something minor, but I was only like 8 years old.

Oh did I forgot to tell that my cousin was prefered by everyone including my mother? Well that how it was since I was born. You cant unsee things sometimes, especially when your grand grand mother taking her in another room, giving her the whole damn toys r us, and you sitting there and coloring the damn colorbook your mother drew for you cuz you didnt had any money. Oh and that cutted postcard puzzles was fun tho

Oh and my mom used to beat the shit out of me every other day when my brother and my big cousin was the fckn angeles just because they breathe.

At age 11 we moved to another country. The one thing I asked is to go to our old place and say goodbye to.. um it, and the memories I had. And guess what? It did not happened. Not because we had no time or anything, we had plenty, we even made a video of us going through the town to our favorite places, you know to remember our country... But not mine, even if it was on the way.

So gladly (at least that what I thought), my mom, me and my brother moved to a whole new country, where my hell just expanded.

When we moved here, we had to leave with my grandma’s sister and her husband for a month. They werent happy, so they made us unhappy too. They had two sons, my uncles, one of them lived in the same town. Lets call him Sam.

Uncle Sam reminded me of my father. Same looks, same mind, but I felt that he wasnt gonna leave me. Just as a little girl I wanted to have a man figure in my life, that could protect me if needed.

So uncle Sam had a son, my cousin, who was a big, hugeeeee shit. He used to be the only child, so probably he felt that me and my brother taking it away, his mother was a shit too, lets call her Midge.

So Midge told uncle Sam to stay away from us. But he didnt needed to, we felt unwanted enough. We moved to a one room apartment and stayed away from them.

Life didnt became easier, because little children are super cruel. I started 5th grade and my little brother was at 1st. We both were bullied. The names they called us, the things they did to us, girls that I thought was my friends made my their maid. Literally. They were coming to my house, made me feed them the food my mom was counting, because we had no money, made me do everything they wanted, and then used to lock me in the shower and didnt let me out untill I screamed because the water was hot that it left it marks on my body. When they was leaving I had to clean the house, sometimes I had no time before my mother was back home, so she was hurting me in all the way she could.

I still have scars, not all of them are physical. When she saw that half of the food were gone, the screams became fists and my tears became blood. Sometimes I felt numb and sometimes I felt that I am loosing my will to live.

For how long I remember myself, I was always trying to please the people around me. They could be friends, family or people at work, it always felt like a second job, where my mind had to work extra hours.

Maybe that was because I was afraid to be beaten, maybe that was because I was afraid that they will leave me, just like my father did.

At my birthday I called my father. His stepmother answered and told me that he is not interested and that I should leave them alone. This number didnt worked afterwards. And a few years later we talked over a social media where he told some not so nice stuff and ended it with “I’ll have better children than you”.

So back to junior school where everyone was a peasant. My brother was trying to stay close to me, and everyone was laughing at us, so I decided that instead of trying to get my shit together I have to help him. Every brake I was taking him to the playground, him and a bunch of other lonely kids, those who was bullied, those who had no friends... I am pretty sure that half of the games were invented by me. So for two years I kept this children busy, so they all became friends and werent ao lonely anymore.

I still tried to do my best at the school, where I had to learn new language and to deal with bullies and at home, to please my mother, who was coming everyday back from work, and beating me no matter what. I get that it was big on her. New country, new language, new people... It was scary and she felt also lonely, but I was not supposed to be anyones punching bag. I did not deserved it.

So that how my school years went... All same pattern, sometimes better, sometimes worse. So many heartbreaks, always toxic friendships. I started to work at a very young age, tried to give almost all of the money to my mother, but it still wasnt enough.

I was cutting myself for so long... The cuts became deeper and the will to live started to fade away. But still I had no guts to kill myself. Every fight I knew, that the next will be worse and maybe the next will become the last. Maybe today was the last.

A few years ago my mother stopped beating me, maybe thats because Im taller, because I grew up and she is afraid I can slap her back?

My brother became the most annoying thing on earth. Through junior high, I was still with him on my brakes, trying to make his life easier, every time anyone had a bad word to say I was there to protect him. Karate? Paid for it. Swimming lessons? Paid for it. New toys? New computer games? Gadget? A new phone? Done it all.

Even while I was at the army, getting the shittier salary you could imagine, working my ass off at two jobs, giving my mother some money, paying for his shit and his super expensive swimming lessons, trying to give him everything we couldn’t afford for me,

Somehow, I am still a bad daughter and a bad sister.

I just getting really tired of that “You blame everyone, when you should look in the mirror” shit.

I took them abroad two times. Paid for everything. And I mean everything. Every shit they wanted, and oh no, they had no shame in wanting the most expensive things on earth, like Im a fucking millionaire. And now when I broke and still manage to pay the bills at home and still take them abroad, but ask my brother to pay with me cuz he has a job and a decent salary I AM THE FUCKING BAD PERSON

LIKE HOW COULD I THINK THAT A PERSON I GAVE ALL MY LOVE TO, A PERSON I AM EVERY DAY LOOKING OUT FOR WHILE HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW THAT BECAUSE I DONT LOOK FOR A CREDIT A PERSON THAT STARTED TO WORK AT AGE OF 18 FOR FUN WHILE I AM WORKING FROM 12 TO PAY FOR HIM HOW COULD I THE WORSE PERSON ON THE WHOLE PLANET TO ASK HIM TO PAY FOR HIMSELF

The saddest thing is he died because he was lonely and his heart was broken

His parents, they moved to another country to his brother, his brother didnt wanted him, his wife left him and he was all alone

I wish, I wish he could inly knew how deeply I cared for him, how I wanted us to be closer, how good he was... It truly broke my heart in a million pieces.

His mother (my grandmas sister) came back here and passed away also. And her husband couldnt leave back because of the loan he had here

He went to live at Midges house then she kicked him and guess what? Hes sleeping in my mother’s bed

AND SOMEHOW I AM THE BAD PERSON AGAIN

HOW CAN I BE MAD AT A PERSON WHO MADE MY FAMILYS LIFE A LIVING HELL BUT AS WE SWITCH ROLES I HAVE TO BE I BIGGER PERSON AND ACCEPT HIS HOMELESS ASS HERE

I am very loving and caring person. But nobody has done that for me. He would never help me, and I know that for sure. He was screaming at me, he was trying to beat my little brother and now I have to accept that he is, an alcoholic, abusive person sleeping in my mothers bed, and she has to sleep with me? (Thats not the problem ofcourse, I love my mom no matter what)

And when he finally leaves, even tho I tried to be nice, and prepared him food and showed him how to use the tv and shit, my mom tells me that I am a bad person? Sorry that my life teached me that people will use your good heart against you.

I finally felt like I am mentally stable, that I am me, the good me. Not the depressed cutting wanting to die me. Finally had my shit together and felt so happy about it. I had my skin care routine after work, had my half hour to write in the diary and my 1 episode per night before bed routine that made me so fucking happy and glowing, and then the person that made me only bad comes and ruins it all and I have to accept that?

I finally made it, made it to the top of me where all I wanted is to live, where all I was is happy, and instead of understanding that, or at least carring about your daughter’s mental health and I dont know, even speaking with me about that, you just throw this shit at my face.

“You need to be tested”

“You are crazy”

“I wish I didnt had you”

Instead of

“Are you okay, do you want to talk about that?”

“Do you want to see a professional? I will support you”

“I dont know what I would do without you”

It just hurts that when you try to talk about maybe having a problem or when you try to speak your mind, or when you talk about your feelings to the person you care about the most... You got to be called a drama, you didnt get to even finish the sentencse... Somehow the problem is always in me and my feelings.

It hurts when your brother doesn’t care as you did and do about him.

It hurts that things that are important for you doesnt counted as important at all.

It hurts that your feelings not important.

You are not important.

That your sacrifices aren’t sacrifices.

And if you try to talk about yourself, you are selfish.

People say that no matter what’s happening, your family, your home, is the place that you can be you in it. A place where you are not judged.

Well, my family doesn’t count.

So maybe its better not to be counted at all.
