Okay so there’s a trend I’ve noticed recently with live action tv shows where they play licensed music nonstop throughout almost the entire episode. Like it’s just constant needle drops in every scene. It seems like tv executives have now decided that you can’t just watch a scene without music, there has to constantly be background input.
And I don’t mean instrumental, I mean vocal songs from artists not associated with the show. I don’t know why this started, but I’m honestly really annoyed by it because there are a lot of scenes that don’t need music like that for any reason and it actively takes away from whatever’s going on, or there are scenes where I’m okay with there being music but the music they pick is just. Completely wrong. For that specific scene.
Either way, it makes me kind of angry and I hope it goes away soon because there are some shows that aren’t bad but could be improved with less licensed music.

Do you guys notice how when Shawn Fain, president of the United Auto Workers union, started planning a general strike, he did it by a) targeting his messaging towards unions with the ability to safely and effectively strike in large numbers, b) laid out a clear, actionable plan for those unions to follow (setting contracts to all expire at the same time, since many unions cannot strike while under contract), c) is using union contracts to set clear, actionable demands that can be met in order to gauge success and provide an end goal, and d) started organizing FOUR YEARS before the proposed strike date to give people the chance to plan accordingly, because it takes a really freaking long time to get tens of millions of people organized?
You notice how he didn't do it by slapping a message on Twitter saying 'hey nobody go to work on Monday, that'll really show 'em'?

Not to be that guy, but... hey he/they trans guys, I just wanna ask. Do you use "they" because it feels right... because it clicks as part of your identity... or because it doesn't hurt as much as she/her, so it must be okay.
And don't just evaluate this for they/them. Evaluate it for he/him as well. "I'm a guy so I have to use he/him" no the fuck you do not. Plenty of guys use they/them. Plenty of guys use she/her. Plenty use it/its/ve/vir/ce/cir and are still men. If he/him doesn't fit, you don't fucking have to use he/him and it doesn't make you any less of a man. You know that... right?
Also before this post starts an argument I am not pissing on he/they pronoun users I am simply reminding all you transmascs that there is no obligation binding you to those specific pronouns... a post I needed to see myself.

new tf2 theory
you may fascinate the tf2 community by giving them a horrifying little man with a thousand yard stare and an aura of tragedy that surrounds him like moths surround a porchlight

Got sharkdrew on the brain (thank you @sade-of-spades 😌)
Find the mer au masterpost here 💕
I’m issuing a “find the artist” below the cut:
Now maybe I’m just being stupid bc I don’t know how wattpad works but I don’t see any artist credit on this collection, it looks like the person went for a “none of this is mine, all content belongs to the creators :)” 🥲 at any rate this is my immense inspiration here so if the style/art looks familiar I’d love to know who it is
