the loneliness and sadness that creeps into you in a way that only growing up queer can cause. your parents can accept you and still make you feel like an outsider. your parents can love you and still reject parts of you. that old-fashioned kind of love where they think trying to mold you, make you tough, is better for you. or that quiet status quo where you just don't talk. and where everyone is accepted, though some are more than others. generations and generations it's just been easier to let it slide. to let it be. not cause a fuss. but then we sit there with a knot in our chests all our lives wondering how it got there

I love how both Harry Potter and Marauders fans has all sorts of disagreements but we can all agree that Umbridge is no better than a stinky trashcan but at least a trashcan is useful.

in book 4 after Hermione gets mad at Rita Skeeter Harry's internal narration says the last time he had seen Hermione in a rage like this she had slapped Draco Malfoy around the face.
I'd just like to point out that the same day she did that she also lost her temper with Trelawney and walked right out of her class never to return. But of course Harry doesn't think of that part at all because it wasn't relevant to Draco I guess.
He really does have a one track mind.

[Image description: In the first image, Harry Du Bois and Kim Kitsuragi are sitting on the swingset waiting for the tide to recede to investigate the crashed motor carriage. Harry is trying (and failing) to whistle. The dialogue reads:
DRAMA - Spit flies from your mouth to your moustache, your chest, the ground before you... No sound though.
HORRIFIC NECKTIE - Raining heavily here, chief - mind keeping it down a bit?
KIM KITSURAGI - The lieutenant must think it's rather funny/ He smiles and quickly turns away.
In the second image, Harry gives Kim an exasperated look. The dialogue reads:
DRAMA - He's gloating at you. Oh, it's so easy for Mr. Teacher!
HARRY - "I would like to see you try in this bloody wind."
KIM KITSURAGI - With his lips puckered the lieutenant lets out a beautiful melodic trill that puts even the Insulindic thrush to shame.
The third image is a shot of the pair sitting on the swingset from behind. The text reads:
You hear the sound echo on the large body of water. Clouds race across the spring sky and suddenly you just feel better. About everything.
Kim's whistling heals Harry's morale. End ID]
Running behind time rn, might have to skip over Conceptualization to get back on track. sorry!!!
I know this isn't *really* focused on Drama, but it's my favourite Drama check, so... Don't worry, there are far more egregious things in my list 🙏
Also - no extra Dramas today. I've never drawn her in all her effervescence before.

One of the most irritating headcanons that keeps popping up;
"Severus hated having Ginny Weasley in his class because she looked like Lily."
Other than the fact that there is nothing to suggest Severus has some pavlovian response to every red head in existence, if this is your headcanon, your bigger concern should be that Harry married Ginny.

the terror experience
ID: a comic doodle of a scene from the terror being viewed from a laptop screen. james fitzjames is speaking to francis crozier with a despairing yet hopeful expression, and the caption reads, "Are we brothers Francis?" the next panel is a rendition of the artist who is watching the show, a young person with an undercut in a messy bun wearing a sweat-stained t-shirt. they're sitting at a desk, hand smushed against their face, watching between their fingers in anguish. a tissue box rests next to them and there are wads of tissue on the desk. an arrow pointed at them reads, "full of covid." the next panel shows the laptop displaying another scene. harry goodsir is hunched over in his shirtsleeves with long disheveled hair and beard, speaking to crozier with a pained and tired but earnest expression, and the caption reads, "This place is beautiful to me, even now." the next panel cuts back to the artist, this time with knees up, tissue box spilled to the side with an arrow pointed at it reading, "this bitch empty." they are watching with a broken, disbelieving, and grief-stricken expression, leaning on one elbow, hand gesturing limply. an arrow points at them that reads, "experiencing every stage of grief at once." end ID
a rendition of the very first time i watched this show with @necromcom back in the sweltering late august heat while sick with covid (this doesn't even begin to cover it, these are just the scenes i could bring myself to draw)
