11 x 14in Quick 2 hr ocean study, oil on canvas, unvarnished

Color and technique study before working on a 22 x48 in piece for my husband since boats on water are, according to him, “the best art”

It’s been a long time since I painted which I’ve mentioned before but it’s extremely thrilling to be able to loosen up due to the absence and have something awesome come out of it. There’s still a ton of work to be done but this gives me so much more hope than my last piece.

The biggest improvement is the contrast. I am consistently bad at bringing out lots of dark darks and light lights as well as a midtone range without it looking very flat. While I still see this reflected in the painting, I also see many interesting areas of light and dark. Yay me!

事到如今 斷捨離是必要的 不得不面對 無法外出的日子 在家練練瓶花 好像用爛紙比較放得開（？

買了一支玻璃筆 之前沒什麼機會用 試過後的想法是水分流失太快 不好畫 比較適合沾墨水書寫或是小圖插畫

留白的技巧還有待加強 古典的色彩 看起來較沈穩 不過目前都還不是真的想要的樣子 再試試吧
