September demands blank new pages to put our thoughts in order so they are easier to materialize.

I literally cannot draw At Fucking ALL recently so for the past few days I've just been doodling VBS creatures and I finally filled the canvas I was working on... Now I present to you a Kohane with EXTREMELY experimental (to me) but fun (to me) coloring.

An autumn Sunday in East London: cobble stones and terraces—the air is grey but warm, muggy—the flower market heaving with beautiful people in their shiny shoes, long coats, sweater vests, tiny dogs—calla lilies in hoards—a band and a tap dancer perform outside the pub which is just opening its doors—cyclists lazily skirt round corners past people with no plans, who are hanging around outside the café waiting for a coffee, sharing a cigarette, a bit of quiet conversation, perfect people-watching

14:05 good afternoon tumblr, happy tuesday! This 2023 I'm trying to do things alone, normally I didn't do them not because I don't know how to be alone (because I think it's one of the things I'm best at), but out of laziness, yes friends, I'm potentially lazy.
These days I'm trying to overcome one of my phobias, and hey, I'm not doing badly, I'm getting progressively better. I guess it's all a matter of finding positive sensations in what torments you, but we keep working friends. I'm proud. ✨

Fir Tree. / French Folks Tradition
(Small anthology of beliefs related to -
& Centered as usual around my region (Northern Alps))
-
Hand of Protection : in Savoy, the fir tree is used to make a sort of protective "hand" that is placed above doors or on roofs to protect dwellings from lightning and the evil spells of sorcerers. This "hand" performs the same functions as the crosses that are nailed to doors, but the two cannot coexist, otherwise their power is cancelled.
-
To make this "hand" it is necessary to find a small fir tree whose terminal bud, at the top, is atrophied and which has only five shoots of branches which must stand up towards the sky, like an open hand. We cut the end of the tree, and all that remains is to debark it, then to cut the five branches at different heights, like fingers.
Healing fears
In the Dauphiné, you can cure your fear or shyness by passing several times under fir trees whose branches touch each other. (Rite probably related to an older rite of transference of evil.)
-
Panacea
In the Côtes d'Armor (Brittany), it is the vital power of "pine cone" juice that refers to the belief that the child who manages to absorb it in full would - his whole life - be spared by any disease.
-
(Excerpts from the work of Sebillot, M.C Delmas and Van Gennep)
