Alastor was in absolute bliss, with his head resting on your chest as both of you cuddled in the living room.

Your fingers running through his hair, the sound of your heart, and the warmth your embrace provided had him sinking into your hold.

The sound of soft radio static crackled every so often. Volume increasing everytime you placed a kiss to his forehead.

Today was a "lazy day", something he started to enjoy since you introduced him to it.

"I love you.", you whispered and kissed the top of his head.

I have this feeling Tim’s going to say “I love you” first and it’s going to be at the end of 5x13.

My theory why: Tim is going to find out the magnitude of Lucy’s actions and just how instrumental she was in getting him the new job in Metro… which lets be real is probably his dream job with the amount of high action teams involved to supervise. He’s not the kind of man/cop meant to be sitting at a desk job like Court Liaison. The man needs to be in the field and getting dirty with the troops. Tim’s going to be emotionally overwhelmed that she cared so much about his happiness and tried so hard to make this happen for him. He’s going to say it then cuz he can’t hold it back.

But then the other part of my nagging brain is saying Lucy might say it first because Tim would ask why she tried so hard to make this happen for him… and she’d say it’s because she loves him and wants to see him happy. That he deserved to do more than be sitting behind a crappy desk job all day.

I know you want a solid answer here.

But the reality is, it's different for everyone.

Different people put different weight on the word. And some people take longer to develop feelings they'd describe as love.

It's important to acknowledge that if you say I love you to someone, you shouldn't expect it in return. The phrase is about letting the other person know how much they mean to you and expressing your feelings. Not about expectations and needing to be validated they love you in return.

I think deciding if it's the right time for you is more important than when everyone else does it. Do you feel something you'd describe as "love" towards them?
