In honor of it being the month of love here are my dumb little TBOSBAS shipping ideas:

Couples-

Coriolanus x Lucy Gray: A classic, really just a teenage romance between a weird dude and a musical girl, we know it, we may love it. I use it sometimes in fix-it’s when I put Sejanus with someone else (I just write about Sejanus, like almost exclusively)

Sejanus x Coriolanus: The joys of Snowjanus. Two guys in love, kind of toxic love but love. Sometimes I write them precannon, sometimes fix-it’s, sometimes in the past after the betrayal. Love them, they are so silly goofy I just get bored or angry at Coriolanus sometimes.

Sejanus x Felix: I’ve seen this briefly in Snowjanus fics to make Coryo jealous but I think it could work. I like to use it in a specific fix-it where Felix comes to Sejanus for help after getting emotionally attached to Dill and wants to end the games. I also sometimes do them pre cannon, usually as a “practice relationship” for Felix.

Sejanus x Marcus: Gotta love the friends to one sided enemies to lovers. They make me happy because I refuse to let Marcus die(can you tell I like fix-it’s) they are so fun even just as friends I love them. My angsty little guys.

Sejanus x Reaper: okay so I haven’t seen anyone else do it but it makes perfect sense to me. Two rebels who piss off the capital by honoring the dead. I love them, probably my favorite one. They make me happy because I think them together could be really cute but also a rebel power couple. Someone please say they see my vision.

Reaper x Coriolanus: Based solely on the pretty boy comment. Read a fic once it was nice I think under a very specific set of circumstances it could work well. I rarely do them solo.

Lucy Gray x Sejanus: The Coryo hate squad. Them after the betrayals just trash talking him. I like to keep them both alive but seriously traumatized. Two bright lights in a shit world. I like to think Sejanus used to play music back in 2 so they could do little duets.

Lucy Gray x Coral: women, that’s about it. But seriously they could be suck a powerful duo if they got out(again with the fix-it’s) I love them, I don’t use them much but I love them.

Coral x Sol: Don’t ask what I was doing. Secondary source except I didn’t fully read the secondary source. It was a strange move but it still makes me happy.

Sejanus x Festus: Festus being one of the nicer people to Sejanus got me thinking so this happened. I love it but also kind of hate it. Look they could be friends, maybe even better friends than Sejanus and Coryo in cannon.

Triads-

Reaper x Coriolanus x Sejanus: Basically just a combination of the two duo ships. I think they just hang out, Coryo tries really hard to fit in with them but he’s not good at it. They just hang out, be cool, be traumatized, gotta love them.

Sejanus x Coriolanus x Felix: basically the same as Sejanus and Felix but Sejanus ropes Coryo into the scheming. They cuddle a lot. Silly guys. They could also work pre cannon at the academy, give Coryo two rich boyfriends to manipulate.

Sejanus x Coriolanus x Lucy Gray: Coryo gets bitches, that’s it that’s all I got.

Sejanus x Felix x Reaper: Sejanus bonds with the other two the same as in duos then Reaper and Felix bond over Dill. They are a group of rebellious teenage dumbasses.

Quartets-

Lucy Gray x Sejanus x Coriolanus x Marcus: The Snowbairdjanus trio run away then Sejanus gets word that Marcus is alive and either buys him as an avox or breaks him out. They then do love and bonding and cuddles.

The Most Important Meal of the Day | Donny Donowitz x gn!reader

summary: you get everything you need to make the Basterds a decent breakfast - but are they going to catch you in the act and spoil the surprise?

It took a while to get everything that you needed, to gather the main ingredients as well as the spices and herbs, stealing a little bit of what you could here and there, eventually managing to get it all together; before the war, you were used to cooking meals for a much larger group, so you didn't doubt your ability to cook for the Basterds in the slightest - you did, however, struggle. It wasn't just gathering everything you needed, it was trying to cook it all using just a little campfire and some broken pots and pans and utensils. It was trying to cook with rusting and cracked iron that really made you struggle.

You knew it would be worth it, though, with your boyfriend Donny sound asleep and cuddled into your jacket as you hunched over the little fire; every time you looked at him, you couldn't help but to smile. It had been too long since any of you had had a decent meal, and it was really the least you could do; you wanted to make it a surprise, a pile of bowls usually reserved for the nights rations piled up beside you, you hoped that there would be enough space in them. You hoped that none of them would stir, wondering what the smells infesting the air were; you hoped that the surprise could be contained until they woke up.

By the time that you started to fill the dishes, the light of dawn was starting to creep over, it wouldn't be long until the Basterds got up; the pale blue skies and the beginning of bird songs reminded you too much of days long gone - days staying up all night with Donny, whether it was because you were talking too much or because he had snuck into the local baseball field and had been determined to have game after game. Days so long gone, they were foggy in your memory. Days so long gone, that it seemed like your earliest memory was being shipped out together.

You sighed, swiping a hand down your face and scratching the back of your neck; you finished off dishing everything up, just in time for them to start rising.

At first, the Basterds were a little confused, wondering what the fuck was going on, asking how you managed.

"Because (y/n) is a fuckin' genius!" Donny proclaimed with a grin as he sat beside you, all too proud of you. Sure, he was surprised to have an actual meal for breakfast as opposed to the crusts from last night's bread, but he was more than proud of you, and more than grateful.

Aldo raised a brow as he swallowed, letting the tastes rest on the top of his tongue for a moment before he nodded with approval. "It's fuckin' good, (y/n)."

Hugo nodded in agreement, flashing you a kind smile.

You bit at the inside of your lip. "Y'sure?"

"Fuck yeah," Donny mumbled through mouthfuls. "I dunno how the fuck... you managed to get everything... but it's great!"

You smiled, nodding a little as you picked at what was in your own bowl; you had been having little bites here and there throughout cooking, and if you were honest, you probably had a few too many taste tests.

But the praise didn't stop, the surprised but all too grateful Basterds hardly able to contain themselves and to keep their comments to themselves; you were sure that Aldo would've knocked you up a couple ranks and promoted you for just that. But you were glad that they enjoyed it, you were glad that they actually liked it more than anything - you weren't sure what you would have done if they had hated it.

It was an odd feeling, though, to not have a constant rumbling in their stomachs and the lack of needing more to power through the day; you noticed a few of them sat back and smoked cigarettes as they quietly admitted which bit they liked best. Having a satisfied appetite was a rare thing, and they weren’t particularly sure what to do with themselves. You weren't sure how long it would take, but you knew that you had to do it again; already thinking of different recipes and different meals you could conjure up, not just for breakfast but for dinner and for tea as well. You knew that you had to. They deserved it.

Donny pulled you aside, though, his arm slung around your shoulders as he kissed your temple. "I've never had a breakfast that good... thank you."

You smiled, patting his chest gently and leaning into him. "Y'know, there were a couple moments I thought I'd get caught."

He chuckled softly as he raised a brow. "Would that've been so bad?"

You shrugged, humming softly as you dared to kiss the sweet spot on his neck that always made him grumble and laugh a little. "It was meant to be a surprise, so yeah... did you really like it, though? I mean, I can always try and-"

"It was fuckin' amazing," he reassured with a shake of his head. "Like I said, you're a fuckin' genius."

"Thank you," you breathed out. "Maybe when we get back home, I can start cooking like that regularly again... fuck, might even be able to try out new dishes, too."

Donny gave your shoulders a little squeeze as he growled with deep thought. "I'd like that - but only if I get to marry you."

"We're not having that conversation again," you laughed, shaking your head. "You already know my answer."

"Yeah, I know," he mused. "But I like thinkin' about it. When it happens."

"If," you corrected. "Don't forget, we gotta find a house first."

But a strange sense of shyness seemed to hold you back.

(Here you go, more hurt/comfort for one of my fave characters cause I’m a slut for that kind of fanfiction. This isn’t a romantic ship fic, more like a friendship between the reader and Scorpia, but hopefully you’ll enjoy it nonetheless. This might just be really bad but I enjoyed making it, gotta have the fluff. Anyways hope you enjoy!)

Everything just seemed... grey for the past week just gone by. 

Etheria was thriving once again, glowing with contentment and basking in its bright, beautiful magic having defeated Horde Prime once and for all only a couple of months ago. It seemed like the murky grey cloud fog had lifted, letting in sunshine and cerulean skies that had been shying away for such a long time. A celebration was ongoing, it called for it. Multiple victory parties, love, peace, reunion, recovery, redemption, unbreakable friendships. It were all cherished like never before. Life was just right. 

Only, for a while now, you felt a surreal sort of emptiness. Almost a sense of insincerity. Up until now you had been celebrating the liberation of Etheria, but recently, something inside you sort of changed. You took a look around you, seeing Adora and Catra so complete together. The same went for Bow and Glimmer. Scorpia and Perfuma. Mermista and Sea Hawk. Entrapta and Hordak. Even Spinnerella and Netossa. All of these happy couples had such a solidarity to the point where you felt... left out. Forgotten. Yes, Frosta may not be in a relationship either, but for someone as young as herself, it was understandable why she wasn’t. Regardless, you felt as though you weren’t as welcome in the squad anymore, even though in reality that wasn’t the case in the slightest, you were always welcome in the squad. 

Not only this, but you had also been haunted by insecurity, doubt, and even a strong sense of guilt that ate away at you. Looking around, seeing everyone’s amazing abilities and contributions to the rebellion. You felt as though you were nothing of value, even though that wasn’t the case either. Everyone in the rebellion appreciates your abilities. 

And to top it all off, you had been slightly sick for the past week. This hadn’t affected you as much as your overwhelmingly negative thoughts had, but a lingering headache, stomach cramps, mild dehydration and lethargy was definitely bearing a burden on you. Thankfully whatever you had wasn’t too contagious. 

All of these problems combined into one big, ugly internal demon caused you to go very quiet. Even when the rebellion would have post-war reunions where everyone would visit Bright Moon for a couple of days. Lately you had been spacing out a lot more, not really talking to anyone and sitting alone, for you felt silenced by your feelings of loneliness. It seemed like this ugly internal demon could be chased away with only one thing. A hug.  

Scorpia. Whenever even thinking of the word hug, you instantly thought of your friend Scorpia. Despite being from such an uncaring place such as the Horde, she was notorious for being a hugger, and a great one at that. Not only did her kind, sunny personality always made you smile, but it also seemed her arms were made of magic. Not just physically with such strong lightning powers, but emotionally, for being cuddled in between her big, muscular arms was enough to soften any heart and heal any and all feelings of sorrow. One of Scorpia’s hugs was just what you needed. 

However, you didn’t speak a word about this, you were too shy to ask. You and everyone else knew that she was in a relationship with Perfuma, and your feelings of isolation mingled with this known fact, forming an obsessive, discouraging worry. Observing Scorpia and how happy she was with Perfuma and how she spent a lot of her time with her, seeing them hug and kiss each other, seeing them talk to each other and garden together, it made you feel happy for them. Although this caused you to develop an irrational fear of somehow ruining this beautiful bond between them. 

This created a horrible scenario in your head that you’d ask Scorpia for a hug and she’d coldly decline, glaring at you and trying to shoo you away with her big scarlet claws, even though you knew this was completely out of her character and these thoughts were illogical, but they still played on your mind. This thought was followed by another equally as desolate thought that you asking for a hug would wreck hers and Perfuma’s relationship somehow, as though that simple little request was now a bomb ready to explode and destroy all your friendships. The mere thought of this broke your heart and caused you to grip tighter to the cushion you were hugging as a makeshift Scorpia while you were heavily spaced out. 

All of a sudden, a large, muscular pair of arms wrapped around you, snapping you out of your disorientation. It took you a few seconds to realise who it was. It was Scorpia, giving you a hug. The much-needed hug you've been wanting to ask for for so long. You looked at her in mild astonishment, it was as though she read your mind. 

"(Y/n), are you alright? I noticed that you haven’t been acting like yourself lately, you seem upset, and I just wanted to check in with you, is everything okay?" As she spoke, it felt as though all the things you were going through were finally being acknowledged. Your throat tightened and hot tears began to blur your vision, slipping down your cheeks. The scorpion woman's brow furrowed with concern once she saw how upset you were, it saddened her. 

"Oh no, you're crying... Come here-" she lifted you up and embraced you in her clawed arms, bringing you into another hug as you broke down into sobs. "It's gonna be okay..." she spoke softly, trying to reassure you.

You wept into her shoulder for a good while, letting out all the tears you had been holding back, as though you were releasing all the pain that sweltered inside you. Scorpia hugged you very carefully yet closely, caressing your back slowly and soothingly, hoping that you'd feel better. She cared about you, so seeing you cry made her want to cry too.

After a while of weeping in comfortable silence, you dried your teary eyes and asked her shyly "Can I... can I talk to you?" to which Scorpia placed you back down to where you were seated, put her arm around you and replied "Of course you can, you can talk to me about anything!"

"I've been going through a tough time recently, and I wanted to ask you for a hug as your hugs make me feel better but I felt too shy to do so because I know you're in a relationship with Perfuma so I was worried that I'd make you feel awkward and ruin yours and Perfuma's relationship, and I was worried that you didn't want to be friends with me anymore-"

Scorpia was very perplexed by what you were telling her. To think that her, the certified best hugger around, the CEO and queen of good cosy cuddles, would retire from her hugging expertise and reserve it for just her partner?

"(Y/n)... of COURSE you can have a hug. Just because I'm in a relationship, that doesn't make me any less of a hugger! You shoulda seen me at one of the victory parties, I was just hugging everyone out- maybe I was a bit tipsy, I dunno, but the point is, I'll always be there to give you a hug or keep you company when you need it, you don't need to feel shy to ask, you're my friend, and I wanna help you. You won't make things awkward at all, I promise!”

A playful gleam in her sepia-brown eyes, Scorpia extended her arms towards you. "Now come here, I'm gonna give you such a good hug that all your sadness will disappear!" At her relieving words, you felt as though the worry that had been bottled up inside you had all been drained out, and you wrapped your arms around her and she wrapped her arms around you, lifting you up in one of her signature hugs. Her arms truly were made of magic, you felt a lot better already. 

"You have no idea how much I needed to hear that..." you mumbled appreciatively, with tears spilling down your cheeks once again. But these tears were filled with relief and happiness and freedom from the thoughts that had trapped you for so long. 

After a few seconds, Scorpia piped up once again. “Also you mentioned you’ve been going through a tough time, do you wanna come hang out with me and Perfuma? In that way you can maybe talk to us about what’s been upsetting you, we’ll be able to help for sure! And plus, Perfuma’s real good at giving advice-” 

This request for you to join them delighted you, and you nodded in reciprocation. 

It felt as though the big, ugly internal demon of negative thoughts had shrunk into a little speck of dust. The senses of insecurities and problems still lingered, but now you had both Scorpia AND Perfuma to talk to about them. They’re sure to chase those insecurities away. Life seemed to be getting brighter, at last.

They spend hours deciding on a ship name

Luther is happy for you guys, but he doesn’t really think about it all that much

Although if he catches you guys in a **compromising position** he refuses to look either of you in the eye for like a week

It's a lot, to begin with. Shudder grew up in a mortal orphanage - he is not accustomed to maximum snuggles and he's got no idea how to deal with larr's particular brand of clingy cuddliness. One of them is an energizer bunny, the other is a homebody.

Shudder, mostly. They live together, so the notes are little things - larrikin will wake up with a post-it stuck to his forehead or something. Not so much soulmates, but Larrikin took one look at shudder and was like "welp, i want him to bang me like a back door in a hurricane" and just sort of. Never let it go.

Larrikin decides they're getting married lmao, shudder doesn't really get a say in it. When morale is low during the war and it's been forever since they had anything to celebrate, larrikin decides they should just get married, as an excuse for a party. Shudder pipes up, "Do I get a say in any of this?" and larr responds, "Of course you do. Do you want to wear the dress, or shall I?"

Larrikin wears the dress. As it turns out, marriage suits them, and eventually they get it formally redone and made all official.

Who would be the big spoon/little spoon? 

Mal would be the little spoon, but she usually doesn’t consent to spooning. Evie is subtle, snaking arms around her while they study together or watch a movie. By the time Mal realizes they’re spooning, she’s too entranced by Evie’s perfume and the soft touch of her fingers to even try to fight it.

Who would wake up first? 

Evie. She always needs plenty of time for her makeup and hair routine. When her hair is perfectly brushed and soft, she’ll take a break to wake up Mal, dragging her soft strands along her girlfriend’s cheek until Mal’s bristling her nose, then finishes with soft kisses to make sure she’s fully awake.

Do they have nicknames for each other? 

Mal will forever call Evie her Princess, but she also likes to tease that she’s the Apple of her Eye, and in the privacy of their room she’s her Candy Apple (because she tastes so sweet).

Evie calls Mal Baby Dragon or just Baby, but she’s also her Firestarter 😉

How do they apologize after an argument?

The only way to get time to apologize to Evie is to be her model when she’s working on clothes, so Mal always sucks it up and plays mannequin for the day, giving them time to talk and sort things out. And it’s the best time to kiss and makeup when Mal’s already down to her bra and underwear and she only has to coax Evie into joining her...

Evie knows that Mal’s a sucker for her pouts, so she usually fakes a pretty pout with her fully painted red lips, knowing that even a mad Mal can’t resist kissing it away, which ultimately open her up to Evie’s apology.

What would they be like as parents? 

Evie would joke that she’s raising Mal along with her kids, because while Evie keeps a clean house and is strict about eating healthy and getting proper sleep, Mal is making pillow forts, eating popcorn in bed, and plotting Halloween trick or treating routes that have the best candy. Every once in a while Evie has to scold Mal and the kids, but for the most part she loves what a fun mom Mal is, and loves to join in on the activities.

Who is more romantic?

Mal. She knows how much Evie adores public displays of affection, so she goes out of her way to do sweet things, like having flowers sent to her in class, leaving surprise gifts in her locker, or leaving sweet notes on their door for the days she’s away at Tourney practice. Evie’s glowing smile and sweet kisses are plenty of reward for all her effort.

What sort of gifts do they get for each other? 

Even though Evie is not a sports fan, she knows that Mal enjoys going to games, so she loves to gift Mal with tickets to games and professional Tourney team gear. Evie will get dressed up in team colors and go to the games with Mal, who loves to sit and explain everything that’s going on with Evie so they can boo and cheer together.

And Mal forces herself out of her comfort zone to gift Evie with beautiful jewelry and accessories to complement the clothing she designs, almost always dragging Dizzy along with her to make sure she picks the perfect pieces each time.

Who gets jealous easiest? 

Mal. Evie’s way too gorgeous and sweet, and she can’t help but think that everyone that talks to her wants to be with her. Mal tends to have her hands on her whenever they’re out in public together, always feeling the need to stake her claim on her pretty girlfriend.

Who gets more excited for events e.g.. Birthdays, Christmas? 

Evie. She’s always planning handmade gifts, so she’ll think of ideas weeks in advance in order to have the gifts ready in time. She always puts Mal in charge of decorating for each holiday and birthday, but they love to go shopping together to pick out the decorations. Once they’re home, Evie usually gets to sewing while she supervises Mal’s decorating.

Who is the most adventurous? 

Mal. Evie usually keeps quiet about Mal’s shenanigans, but her adventurous streak does worry her. She’s hurt herself pretty badly attempting some wild passes by jumping over shoulders at Tourney games. But Evie’s biggest problem is when Mal and Jay concoct ideas together, like when they tried to build their own half mile slip and slide, using soap to go extra fast and aiming it into the school’s lap pool.

Who is the most protective? 

Evie. She knows that Mal spent years trying to prove she could be bad to her mother, and some students find it hard to forget that she’s Maleficent’s daughter, despite her decision to be good. Evie is a master at steering conversations politely, and is always right on top of changing topics when someone tries to approach that sensitive subject.

What would they have been like as childhood sweethearts? 

Sickeningly sweet to each other, but also an evil power house on the isle. Mal would rule the school and spend her days wreaking havoc with Evie by her side, holding her hand and smiling her approval. Evie also intimidates, but in a more subtle way by quietly threatening with her acids and poisons in hand. After school they’d make out in Evie’s garden, with Mal occasionally sneaking up to Evie’s room to spend the night with her, for cuddling and other activities 🙃

Who uses all the hot water? 

Mal. She loves soaking in a hot bath, but she’s always just a waster of water in general. Evie usually gives her a frustrated glares when she has to walk behind Mal to shut off the faucet, shower, or bathtub.

Who would accidentally set the kitchen on fire whilst cooking? 

Evie. She doesn’t love cooking, so she’d rather focus her time on her clothing lines. Mal is a decent cook, but she doesn’t love to do it, so they tend to go out to eat pretty often. They’ll occassionally take food back to the dorms to eat, but Evie does like to get out and stretch her legs after long days of filling clothing orders.

Who initiates sexy times the most? 

Mal. Evie’s always up for it, but she loves to hear Mal dance around the idea to her. She plays coy and innocent, pretending she doesn’t know what Mal is suggesting, up until she basically pounces on Evie.

Who is more dominant? 

Mal thinks she is, and Evie likes to have her believe that, but truthfully, Mal is heart-eyed for Evie and will do anything she wants. But Evie likes to try to subtley convince Mal that Evie’s ideas are hers anyway to keep her thinking that she’s in charge.

What would they do if the other one was hurt? 

Lose their MINDS. They hate seeing the other hurt, and both end up right at each other’s sides, grabbing faces and kissing before they check over injuries and escort each other to the nurse. And they’re both great nurses to each other during recoveries, spoon feeding, cuddling, and giving sponge baths until the other feels completely better.

Who gives nose/forehead kisses? 

Evie. Mal is too cute when she gets them, scrunching her nose and shaking her hair in Evie’s face after the kiss. And she loves getting them so much from Evie that she’ll come up to her throughout the school day and try to impress her with things she did, like not punching Chad when he got in her face and called her a pussy during practice, so she can earn another nose kiss.

What their biggest fight was/will be about:

I can’t picture them fighting at all, to be honest. There’s way too much love, understanding and support in this relationship. They are for sure relationship goals.

The support from her girlfirend always pumps her up, and makes her blush just a little...

Miraculous Headcannon?? // Marinette Gives Best Hugs

Okay so I like JUST made this up so sorry if it’s kind of a lot.

Okay so in their class Marinette is kind of known as a really, really sweet person

She will give out hugs to ANYONE okay she just loves giving hugs and if you are having a bad day she will freaking hold you and pat your hair

One time Adrien asks her for a hug because he’s really tired from all his superhero business and his home life has been chaotic and he really just needs a few minutes of prolonged human contact so he can just relax- and who better to ask than Marinette?

(She kinda short-circuits because of this but ofc she gives him a hug because she just loves him a lot okay?)

Now sometimes Chat drops on for hugs because her hugs are just So Good

At one point Alya takes a picture of Marinette looking very soft and sends it to a classmate who she knows is having a bad day with the caption “don’t be sad. Marinette sends you all the love”

So Marinette just becomes like a meme in her classroom like people just send pictures of Marinette to each other whenever someone needs to be cheered up

Marinette is a little embarrassed because she’s like humble and stuff but she also kind of is very honored that she is like That Super Nice Girl to all her friends and so she doesn’t mind

She Doesn’t Mind even more when she finds out that Adrien has a collection of photos of her saved

Like you know those cute Kermit the frog pictures where there are lots of hearts and stuff?? “Marinette sends you all the love” memes kind of become that basically

One day Chat references this to Ladybug one day without thinking, and he can’t figure out why she dies laughing

It becomes kind of an in-joke with the miraculous team (at this point Rena Rouge and Carapece and Queen Bee are already around)

It becomes EVEN MORE of an in-joke when Rena Rouge and Ladybug reveal their identities to each other

One time when they’re fighting an Akuma victim Ladybug says “don’t be sad. Marinette sends you all the love” to the Akuma and the team just DIES

Since Queen Bee has been so used to joking around with her teammates about it she accidentally says it during class one day as Chloe (which she does not like because she’s been trying to keep up that whole front about not liking Marinette-even though she can admit that yeah, she does give the best hugs)

The reason Chloe doesn’t want people to know she actually doesn’t mind Marinette that much is because she’s kind of embarrassed? Like she has this reputation as the cold mean girl and she doesn’t know how people would react if she suddenly revealed that she was actually kind of a big softie now (cause of being Queen Bee and Character Development), and she worries they’ll laugh at her

But then she says the meme and no one thinks it’s a big deal? So she slowly starts showing more of herself in class and stuff.

Also throughout this whole business Chat has been visiting Marinette (y’know, for hugs and stuff) which is why she doesn’t think twice about him knowing the meme

But then there’s the Big Reveal and she’s like oooooooh

After the reveal, they become more comfortable being casual with each other (even though they both have MAJOR crushes still) and joke around a lot- one of the biggest jokes being the Marinette meme, especially in-costume

After the whole Chloe-says-it thing and she begins to open up, Marinette slowly grows kind of soft spot for the girl and eventually she’s accepted into the friend group and gets unlimited access to Awesome Hugs (which she not-so-secretly loves)

The Girl Squad (Alya, Marinette, Chloe) have sleepovers that are basically just huge snuggle fests

So at this point LN knows RR and CN’s identities, and CN knows LB’s identity, that’s about it.

Queen Bee and Chat Noir finally reveal to each other when they’re at a stuffy rich person event and they both need to escape

(Also at some point Carapece and Rena Rouge reveal to each other too and are like the ULTIMATE power couple)

(Like let’s be honest adrienette/ladynoir/etc/etc is like the cute cuddles and adorable nicknames ship but Rena Rouge/Alya x Carapece/Nino is SUCH a power couple)

So Marinette/LB and Adrien/CN do the whole “they just see me as a friend” thing so they try to keep things casual but they just love being in the presence of the other so much and they tease and joke with each other WAY more than anyone else and it’s got that whole on-the- verge-of-flirting thing going for it

So QN totally teases CN about his (reals obvious) crush on LB, and RR does the same to LB.

Eventually they get past that whole phase and when they finally get together the other superheroes throw a freaking PARTY

Eventually when all the superheroes are hanging QB and Carapece just throw around SO MANY Marinette-meme references and LB is laughing SO HARD because they don’t know! So finally she’s like “my dudes, the lady of the hour is in fact right here”

And that leads to this whole giant EVERYONE reveal and there are some SUPER hugs going on

And eventually a second meme evolves. One day someone snaps a photo of Alya and Marinette sharing like a secret sneaky smile (after something to do with miraculouses goes down), and sends it to someone with the caption “when you and your BFF know something is about to go DOWN” or something like that

And basically yeah that’s the headcannon it’s kind of ramble-y but here is is idk

(Below the cut. Keep in mind these are my personal preferences and I’m not attacking anyone who likes tropes I dislike. This isn’t a comprehensive list, just some thoughts about tropes I don’t enjoy reading).

> Redemption through romantic love. So. Much.

> Everybody Lives AUs

> Soulmates

> Forbidden love

> Amnesia

> Coffee Shop AUs (I’m all for “In the future this character gets a job” stories, but I dislike “I’m going to flirt with this person while they’re in a position they can’t leave” stories)

> Psychic powers / Twins can read minds. It’s not an immediate deal-breaker, but my interest will drop sharply.

> Falling in love way too quickly / confusing infatuation with genuine love and the moral of the story is that you should risk your life plans and dive headfirst into relationships with people you don’t know well yet (I didn’t watch The Sun Is Also a Star, but the trailers pushed ALL my wrong buttons).

> Physical touch is the only or most important way to express affection. I’m all for love language miscommunication stories. I don’t like being told those who don’t express physical touch easily are frigid or uncaring.

> Big rescue scenes in romance (Ex: Hero carrying love interest from a burning building… I’d rather see hero helping love interest up a tough patch of the trail they’re hiking, or leaving a party to find their partner a dessert they’re not allergic to, something small and affectionate like that).

> Asexual invalidation/correction stories (Related: Virgin mockery). I don’t mind reading these if the main character is asexual and it’s a story about sexuality exploration or a character facing difficulties because they’re ace (That’s what Origin of the Pixies is, after all), but if the author legitimately believes asexuality needs to be fixed or that ace characters can’t be in fulfilling relationships, that’s what I don’t like.

> Canon: *Characters state they don’t want to be together romantically*  Fanfic: *Makes them romantic*  As a reader, I’m willing to let you take my hand if you show me careful thought processes and honest conversations while the characters work through changes together in early chapters, but if there’s absolutely no explanation (or indication that backstory will be given later) and the story just starts with them together for some reason… I won’t play along.

> When two people in canon are very close but not an official romantic couple and the only ‘fics about them are romantic. I don’t mind some stories being romantic, especially if they’re set in the future of canon, but if I can’t find more than a tiny handful of ‘fics that match their canon relationship, I get frustrated.

> Oh, here’s a trope I despise with the intensity of a thousand suns… Animals that are not dogs behaving like dogs (Ex: Maximus the horse in Tangled). Other animals are interesting too!

> I dislike a lot of angst tropes in general. I like psychological horror, like the slow recognition of your own sins (which is probably why I write villain backstories). A loved one dying in your arms, or trapped inside a burning house, does nothing to me. You could not get farther from affecting me if you tried. My heart will break if someone hesitates in an otherwise cheery story and the other person staggers back, realizing things aren’t as perfect as they thought. I live for moments where the bliss suddenly snaps and in an instant, everything’s changed. But deaths drawn out with gasps and bleeding, or houses going up in flames, don’t really land. Angst has to be fast and hard or I find it tedious.

> Developing a crush on someone before you even see or hear them interact. See also, liking someone you have no business liking when your people raised you to dislike theirs. How do you exist outside your culture? I want reasons.

> Using new pronouns for a character who hasn’t revealed their preferred pronouns to the narrator and/or a character outs someone by using new pronouns without ensuring they’re okay with that. I’m cool with long-established pronouns, but if some characters don’t know yet, they don’t know yet.

> I’m personally not a fan of self-insert stories, especially Self-Insert x Canon. Specifically, I dislike the trope that self-inserts will draw canon character attention and take the focus away from a canon character development story, which is what I prefer to read. Self-inserts who don’t disrupt the status quo are fine by me.

> I can accept OC x Canon if you don’t contradict canon, but the OC has to be well fleshed out with realistic flaws, and if the canon character is completely OOC, I’m backing out (It’s specifically Main Character OC x Canon that I don’t like- I’ll happily dive into “Failed relationships in canon character’s past involving OC exes because canon characters won’t work for this”).

> Timmy wakes up one day and realizes Tootie’s the girl for him. I need a looong slow burn to sell me on that one. I’m happy to see him recognize his own judgmental attitudes and accept her as a friend, but if it moves into romance while they’re still young, I’m out.

> Wanda being pregnant instead of Cosmo… I 100% forgive this for anything written before “Fairly Odd Baby,” but if Wanda’s the pregnant one then I immediately scroll up to check the upload date. If I can’t trust you with that piece of canon, what can I trust you with?

> Wanda confronts Cosmo and argues that he’s being mean to her. That’s a can of worms I’d rather skirt around.

> I’m all for Cosmo and Wanda having a second kid, but NOT while they’re still with Timmy.

> Abusive Juandissimo.

> I also don’t like fluff. I don’t deliberately avoid sweet, plotless stories, but I don’t seek them out. I lose interest in fluff more quickly than anything else.

… I’m realizing now that the reason I don’t like romantic stories is probably because most of them revolve around expressing affection the literal opposite way of how I prefer it (Ex: Way more stories about physical touch and making out until impulsive sex occurs, not enough quick kisses in passing or time spent existing quietly on the same couch enjoying your separate hobbies).

I don’t inherently hate romance, I just have different romantic preferences than the media that usually crosses my path. I’m more about companionate love than fiery passion. It’s hard to convey the comfortable silence I like in words.

Markus × North Headcanons since I can't find enough of these !! (SFW)

(North is my angry baby I love her so much)

Sure they have some shit to work on to make their bond stronger (especially if you chose pacifist route for Markus) but neither are the type to just drop something without trying.

Markus and North are both leadership oriented, so they both take lessons from each other to improve their ways of leading.

Markus learns to be more assertive in his position, as now the successful leader of the android revolution many try to undermine his authority + take advantage of his position.

North learns to soften up. (With time, of course) Although her normal personality is bold and brash, Markus helps her with dialogue, and that simply wasting rage is a useless way to waste energy and time, saving her from unnecessary trouble.

North is !very! subtle with affection.

Don't get me wrong, she likes being adored, but at the same time she was programmed to constantly give and give and give affection (sexually, working at the Eden Club for clients all the time). So she likes to take things slowly once the revolution relaxes. Doing things at her own pace gives her back control she needs, so it doesn't feel like she's falling back into an obligated position to please someone else.

Markus doesn't mind, he's a patient soul after all.

Whenever Markus gets too stressed out from his Robo-Jesus work, North becomes gentle and lightly whispers praise and encouragement as she gently caresses his neck and shoulders.

It makes him weak trust me 10/10 he melts into a puddle of goo.

If North gets too riled up from anger episodes Markus lightly hums or sings to her.

She immediately shuts up and pretty much forgets what made her so upset in the first place, since damn, his voice is always so.. s o o t h i n g.

The trust in this relationship is outstanding.

Eventually, North opens up more about the abuse, and how she felt used, how eventually it all snapped inside of her to make her go deviant.

Markus always listens to her.

And wipes her tears away when eventually it all becomes too much to unload all at once.

He'll kiss the crown of her forehead, then her lips softly, as he embraces her until she comes back down from her venting episode.

He's a cuddle monster in general so it doesn't bother him when she clings on like a lifeline in these moments, hell he loves being close to her.

North always returns the gesture too.

If he needs to vent she's THERE IN A HEARTBEAT.

She'll always remind him that his frustrations are valid, and the more she listens to him it becomes less "Let's cut his dick off!!" And eventually more "I understand, love, we'll find a way to get through this together. (But if you need me to cut his dick off I'm down baby ily.)"

Their dates would be so sentimental and so cute I cannot.

Their lives are so hectic that it would probably be on the more tame side.

They can't eat so restaurants aren't on the itinerary, but they'd love some at home movie nights, stargazing, going to book stores, exploring hiking trails, going to the beach, and visiting museums.

Speaking of art, of course North inspires some of Markus' works.

He'll often appeal to her likeness with red's, yellow's, and orange's. Perhaps even painting fire around her/ in her heart.

He sees her as a passionate being, like a flame to a forest.

North gets flustered since Markus is so fucking pure, and she's so blushy when thanking him every single time.

She isn't that artistic, but she does try and impress Markus in other ways/ Show appreciation.

She tries many hobbies (keyword, t r i e s), but nothing comes to her until she discovers photography as an option. She takes to it almost immediately.

Her galleries are gorgeous as fuck and of course the full course meal Markus is a part of them. Sometimes she can't exactly vocalize praise or compliments, so catching him in his natural beauty is her fullproof way of showing him that she's honored to be his.

Markus and North also spend a lot of time with their squad.

Markus, Simon, and Josh sometimes have guys night outs. What are they doing you might inquire? Who knows! Literally they'll either be in bible study or committing lowkey arson lmao it's either one or the other.

North is chill since she likes hanging out with her friends from the Eden Club.

She'll jokingly call him a "crazy old man" but it turns more into "Pops" whenever she greets him.

Carl and North team up to mess with Markus from time to time, and it's fucking HILARIOUS.

Carl also teaches North some valuable insight, stuff that even she can't argue with. She nods thoughtfully and lightly hugs him.

Though she does warm up to it since she'll be the Maid of Honor to the Traci's wedding. Seeing their love and bond in a special ceremony helps cease her doubts. (She's not crying you're crying) (But honestly everyone there was a fucking mess after the vows were read but that's another headcanon for another day)

North is also walked down the isle by Carl since he's basically become her dad at this point since she's known him for years.

| Background |

   Yamako Anko is the second daughter to Kaiya and Shoma Yamako. Her older brother Kenta is six years older than her. Anko's parents were petty criminals who worked in convenience stores and robbed to make money to sustain their children.  They did not want to be criminals, but that was the only way to give life to their children. Again and again, they would remind Kenta and Anko that they should be better than them and become heroes or do something better with their lives. The Yamako family was secure and happy. They were a tight-knit family, and they showed love to each other in every way that they could. They would have days where they would all watch movies together while eating their favorite foods. Tragically, one evening at the convenience store Shoma and Kaiya worked for was robbed by low-life villains. In the entanglement, they were both killed. Kenta (13) and Anko (7) were left alone. Immediately after, their aunt from their mother's side, Hitomi, adopted the children. It became apparent that Hitomi did not like Anko since she harbored her father's looks and quirk. One day while Kenta was at school, Hitomi grew extremely angry at Anko for defending her father that she beat Anko with her fists until she grabbed a piece of broken glass and dragged it across Anko's left eye. Anko's demon form came out and got out of control as it clawed away at Hitomi until she was dead. When the police were called to the crime scene, Haru's aunt, Hinata, and Kenta arrived. While the police knew that Anko killed Hitomi by accident, the police had nobody to leave both of the Yamako children with so Hinata offered to adopt both children.

| Family |

  Anko is very respectful of her parents, and every week, she will visit them and tell them about her week and what she is feeling at the moment. On her birthday, Anko tends to get some rice noodles and eat by her parents' grave. Every Christmas, Kenta and Anko cook rice ramen ( Anko and Shoma's favorite food) and soba ( Kaiya's favorite food) and eat with their parents.

  Anko first introduces Todoroki to her parent's grave after school, and she tells her parents how much Shouto means to her and how he is the first person to understand her truly. She told them about his quirks and how amazing and talented he is. After that first meeting, Anko has seen Shouto at her parent's grave, telling them how grateful he is to have Anko in his life and how he promises to respect and protect her. Every Christmas before visiting his mother, Todoroki eats with Kenta and Anko at the graves.

| Quirks |

   Anko has two quirks, a negativity manipulation, and a demon form. Her negativity manipulation allows her to manipulate any negative emotion into raw energy. This quirk comes from Anko's mom, and the negative is that she has chronic depression, and if she does not release her strength, her depression can become severe. Her demon form comes from her dad, and it is a demonic form of Anko that is capable of ripping apart anyone and anything with its teeth or claws. The demon form is also able to see the components and details of someone's blood through taste.

    Because the demon form can be hazardous, Anko had grown to resent it. This form of her's is dangerous and incredibly creepy to the point that many people tend to stray from Anko in fear of what she can do to them.  Anko had a deep hatred of this quirk, and while she resented the quirk, she could not resent her father for it. She was consistently conflicted with the fact that she loves and respects her father, but she hates the quirk and the misery it has brought her. Anko would often express her sadness to her parents' grave.
