A YouTube channel I've been working on with a bunch of other pony fandom artists is finally seeing the light of day! Draft Horses, an art challenge channel with a My Little Pony theme is having it's first episode launch in a premiere over on YouTube tomorrow (Aug 7 2023) afternoon/evening!

ya'll I just had a super sad realization about Luna after watching s1 e1 of MLP. Cause you know how the Main Six is lead to the old castle and stuff and defeat Nightmare Moon there? Luna probably doesn't know it's been a thousand years, so she'd go there because that's where she and Celestia grew up, so she assumes that's where the capital still is, so when the main six is like "she captured Celestia!!!" Nightmare Moon is like "I what now? I don't even know where she is!"

But yeah, it's just so sad because Luna loses everything after the 1000 years and so when she comes back all the ponies she knew are dead and all the places she knew are gone, like the old castle and so she has to relearn about Equestria and catch up on 1000 years worth of lore and that would really mess her up. It would be like she came to a different Equestia.

Anyways, I'm having some Luna feels right now as per usual, and watching Lullaby for a Princess and Snowdrop is really hitting the feels. :(

Since I had extra Rose Petal place outfits I thought it’d be fun to compare 80′s/90′s small dolls!

Left -Right: Party Pleaser Orange Blossom from Strawberry Shortcake, MLP Molly, Moonbeam (who is a custom Bitsy from Moondreamers), Snowdrop from Herself the Elf, Iris from Rose Petal Place, Sunnie (who is a custom Crystal Starr from Moondreamers). MLP Megan, Fallon from Princess Gwenevere (or Starla) and the Jewel Riders, and Barbie’s sister Stacie.

Surprisingly Strawberry Shortcake dolls have fairly slim/small torsos but their large feet and hands would not fit through the bathing suits. Orange Blossom looks adorable in Petal Pushers! Snowdrop has a pear shaped torso heh. You can easily put on the clothes but everything’s too big; same goes for the Hasbro’s little girl body.

Sunnie can also fit into everything but her torso is too short for most things to hang right. She’s rocking Petal Pushers though! Megan can wear Petal Pushers and the nightgown but I couldn’t get the bathing suit to go past her knees and the leotard was so tight I couldn’t feed her arms through the holes for fear of ripping it. Fallon can only wear the skirts/pants; I really love this skirt on her! Stacie can just barely wear the tutu (her butt’s completely uncovered lol)

Also learned some new things- while Molly and Bitsy/Blinky share the same body (the only difference is their belly buttons: Moondreamers have star ones!) they don’t have the same face sculpts. Megan and the older girl Moondreamers do NOT share the same body which I had assumed they did all these years!

The "Girls With Eyebrows" Tournament 2024

Beginning on Saturday, January 27th this blog will be hosting a series of tournament-style polls to crown the best girl with eyebrows!

An "eyebrows girl", as we'll call it, is any girl with uniquely shaped, abnormally large, oddly placed, or otherwise noteworthy eyebrows that deviate from the standard two thin lines most often seen in character design. The players will only come from animation, games, comics, advertisements, or other illustrated or mediums. Real-life girls, actors, performers, and artists have achieved some great eyebrows in the past, but to keep the tournament focused, the emphasis will be on highlighting expressive and diverse fictional character design. The intentions of this tournament are 100% positive, meant to be a celebration of girls with awesome, massive, and totally cute eyebrows!
