Someone reblogged to one of my posts ranting about how “goy” is a slur. Debated whether to respond or not, but ultimately this is so ridiculous that it’s probably not worth feeding the trolls. Posting it here as a compromise to myself, because I’m actually very bad at shutting up.

It’s not a slur. Just isn’t. It’s a Yiddish word. Is gentile a slur? Because it’s literally the same thing, except it got adopted by Christians.

The idiot repeats the word multiple times without censoring it, if it was actually a slur you’d expect them to censor it or at least tw in the tags.

I used the word exactly once on my blog, in this post, in a way that was clearly just me being informal and not me insulting non-Jews in general. I said that “your average goy” probably doesn’t know what a pogrom is. As a statement of fact. Not as in “ooo goys are horrible,” not in an othering or pejorative sense. I don’t know about all the massacres of Confucian scholars or if they had any special name. Like, this is just pointing out a lack of information, not insulting.

Some people using a word pejoratively does not make it a slur. They brought up a bizarre example (possibly a purposely-misrepresented reference to people calling people in the anti-Israel movement “sheep” though who knows what’s going through this person’s head?) of the word being used that way. Well, I’ve seen people compare Jews to a pestilence and other stuff I’m not gonna say. And you know what? “Jew” still isn’t a slur!

Also told me to stop “begging ‘goyish sympathy’ for Israeli crimes.” Dude, if it’s a slur, stop using it. And also, um, I clearly stated in my tags that I was not tagging it with the normal related tags because it was just a personal vent. I tagged it with jumblr tags and antisemitism as a warning. I did not ask for your sympathy. I did not ask for you to interact with me. If you don’t want to see thoughts like mine don’t hang out on the tags “jumblr,” “Jewish,” “antisemitism,” and “am yisrael chai.” Block them or something idc. Like I’m sorry, but that post is so insanely easy for unsympathetic gentiles (is that better?) to avoid.

And the “you and your people are not special?”(Hmm…doesn’t seem to be talking about Israelis here seeing as I’m American…so much for the “just antizionist! uwu” crowd!) I never said we were. All I think is that Jews deserve the same rights and protections and respects afforded to other ethnicities. Self-determination. The right to self-defense. Acknowledgement of our basic humanity.

But that’s too much to ask for some people, isn’t it?

Ok, if you want to not post this I'm ok with it. I'm the Nick anon

So Nick, well a lot of people speculate that the crap he's doing is staged and blah blah. Here's my beef, even if it was, why the hell would he do it? He's literally diminishing his health for money and views because he needs those clicks.

The reason I bring it up is because idk, I just have a gut feeling that maybe Viv is starting drama and this other crap so she gets the attention. She wants people to go click on her videos and get her the views. I even remember hearing how page views on a website someone operates can get them some extra cash too. She wants us to go look at her merch so she can get the views.

Now, the thing with Nick. I think Nick is very mentally ill. Why? Because he's been to the doctor for issues he's had for gaining weight. Even if that stuff is an act, just why? There was an video nick made that was called I think "Orlin ran away" and in this video nick drove places and found pictures Orlin drew for him. Honestly, some were so well done I was very impressed with Orlin's art skills and if they got someone to draw those they need a round of applause since I laughed. Why is he trying to troll his audience? He keeps saying they break up, orlin cheats, and the most dumbest things that I roll my eyes to the back of my head. Nick is so good at feeding his audience literally. He knows people won't turn away and will continue watching.

That's why I'm comparing him to Viv, but Nick is so much smarter than her. Nick knows the right buttons to push while Viv is running in the dark. She's in Japan right now, and yes she's documenting it like sharing pictures of where she goes, and she still makes the time to get into internet fights.

Ok sorry for ranting. I just feel like Viv is trying to troll and make people watch her more so she can literally monetize the attention.

As plausible as that seems, I don't think Vivzie's anywhere near clever or forward thinking enough to put on the kind of prolonged act Nick Avocado does. If you look back as far as her Deviantart days, you realize pretty quickly that this is who she's always been, with hauntingly little growth or change.

I think the biggest common denominator between Nick and Vivzie is that they're both addicts. Someone once said that Nick has an "addiction to food, views and meaning," and I think that's true for Vivzie too. More than the cash, maybe even more than the fame, she needs her fandom to assure her that she's as great as she believes she is and that nothing is her fault.

Nick's slowly killing himself for his audience. Vivzie needs to know that these people would praise her even if she killed someone else.

This is kind of sad but I think I know what's going on. You posted some harassing anons, and people blocked you maybe because they didn't want to see things like that (based on how somesone said not to post that content untagged,) then someone sent rude asks and now you're attributing it to one person who blocked you. Do you know how many other people blocked you? What evidence do you even actually have that proves they're connected to the asks? I blocked you too! You say you're trying to avoid drama or smearing other people but you're just making passive aggressive remarks trying to smear them like a concern troll, truly despicable, rethink your life.

I've been following you on another blog for a while, and it's very obvious what the url is because you've been posting their posts left and right for days. And if sending an ask telling you my thoughts is "harassment" just because it's calling you out on something you've done that isn't nice, I don't know what to say, holy crap. What.

The only reason I'm still here is because I'm scared you're going to call me out for blocking you too. And the whole "please don't harass them" after practically spelling out their name (what other blog calls themselves "scam archive" that has interacted with you?) is like putting a pile of meat in the middle of a pack of dogs and expecting them not to lunge for it. It's fake kindness. It's like people making callouts and telling people "don't harass them", it never works lol. Now I'm really mad lol, christ. I was expecting better from this blog.

Literally know that and read it, the emphasis is on NOT REPLYING. Takes half a second to delete the messages as they come in. You're feeding and enabling them and they're getting a laugh out of it.

But sure, I’m lying about the asks I got that made me cut ties with someone. I even had the original post not rebloggble because I didn’t want it to go anywhere.

Before the last ask, I was literally told “Saying you can’t do anything is learned helplessness” when i had explained:

1. My stalker uses a VPN

2. VPN’s get around blocks

3. My stalker can/will make multiple accounts to send me asks even if I’ve continue ignoring/blocking them

I am also making this post not rebloggable but apparently I’m ‘lying’ and acting ‘suspicious’ just because the whole situation made me extremely uncomfortable and I don’t like discussing it to people using anonymous. These asks only stopped when I blocked someone and no more has been sent since. While I can’t say for sure it was who I think it was, I remain clear when I say don’t harass them. I’m still doing what I do here.

But don’t you dare come here and dismiss what I went through and accuse me of something. They talked to me and all they did was call me a child and blame me for harassment towards them when I don’t condone anyone sending it. I’m not a child. But if the harassment is that bad then I’m sorry but I’m not telling people to go harass anyone in any fashion and it’s not my fault if someone does it. If they say I sent them their lying and I make it quite clear that no one should be getting harassed just because I talk about them.

Do you think people will publicly admit to sending someone anon hate on this hellsite? No. Because we all know what would end up happening.

Hey Sophie? I really think that “bot” is a troll/human. They go from extremely emotional responses directly to canned responses in .4 seconds. That’s really not botlike behaviour.

I think not having consistency and jumping between different styles is very much how an AI would behave. Especially if it's not continuously being fed context and is just rest every time.

That said, I am curious how they would have managed to set up a bot like this up. ChatGPT requires specific jailbreak prompts to be able to produce hateful content. I don't think Character.AI can generate content as long as they posted.

I guess they could have used AI Dungeon. I think that's what powers @syscoursebot. But I don't really know much about it at all. Nor do I know much about Google's Bard that just released.

I can't say for certain that this is a bot. But if they're not... they're pretty good at pretending.

They take nearly everything at face value as if this was a roleplay without a hint of sarcasm.

It faked a switch with a pro-endo bot alter I told it that it had because I told it the alter existed.

It hallucinates quotes like a bot would because it doesn't have access to the real information.

While it simulates emotional responses, it does so while forgetting what it's previously said.

(It's described itself as an AI SO MANY times on the blog.)

It also responds whenever you write text in asterisks as if something is really happening.

It actually tried to use asterisks to italicize a word for emphasis because it didn't understand Tumblr's interface.

The above isn't an isolated incident either. The following post is both a hallucination where they claim to be using direct quotes from the DSM which aren't from the DSM, AND it tries to use double asterisks to bold the final line.

In yet another post, it censors the word delusional because it claims to not want to be flagged... after already saying the word earlier in that post. (And in other posts.)

In my opinion, this is a bot. And maybe not even that intelligent of one.

I doubt it was made on a more advanced system like ChatGPT-4. I've seen people say it's too coherent to be a bot, but I legitimately don't think it's intelligent enough to match one of the higher-end ones coming out.

I do think there's probably a human handler feeding inputs into the AI, which means that someone is directly responsible for its misinformation. Like, the bot wasn't just unleashed on the world without guidance.

But these responses feel very AI-generated to me in ways that would actually be hard to emulate unless you spend a lot of time talking to chatbots and managed to pick up their weird quirks along the way.

Sorry, it's not passing my Turing Test.

But I do understand the concern. AI is getting more human everyday. We only started experimenting with AI ourselves recently, and it's remarkable how developed and humanlike it can seem at times.

It's a little scary how convincing this AI could be even when telling everyone it's a bot. It makes me worry about the effect bots can have in the future of online discourse when not being open about their nature.

And it only becomes more difficult to tell the difference from here.

Sincere question: Do you have tips for lesbians posting online? I'm nervous to put my face online after bad experiences with it as a teenager. But I really want to put myself out there and be visible and interact with other's and post my makeup and outfits and stuff. How do I find the confidence to ultimately be insulted by terfs or weirdos?

Hi! I'm so sorry you've had bad experiences putting yourself out there on the internet in the past. You don't deserve that, you should be able to exist without harassment and insults and bullying. I wanted initially to push back on you saying that you will inevitably be insulted by TERFs and weirdos. But, you obviously have been before, and I can only hope that you wouldn't be again, I can't promise that you won't be harassed.

Here's the thing, when you had bad experiences in the past, nothing you did warranted it. It wasn't your fault. And that is true for now. It amounts to a bullying situation, so there's only so much advice I can give you on the receiving end of it, because you're inherently not causing the behavior you'd be receiving.

I personally have not gotten hate or insults on tumblr, and I think I've just been lucky. (yeah I know I don't post myself on this blog but I do post selfies n stuff on my personal blog pretty regularly, and I use instagram as well).

I think my best advice is to use the block button liberally, and abide by the "don't feed the trolls" rule. don't engage, just block em.

In regards to confidence, I say fake it til you make it is a real strategy. it takes practice, you have to try it out, see that it's safe, several times, in order to build up your confidence. I know that can be frustrating to hear. What it means, is that you have to start somewhere. Start small, see how it goes, see if it feels okay, just dip your toe in and as you get more practice, you'll feel more confident.

If you do end up receiving any rude comments, try to delete and block it immediately before it sinks in and worms its way into your brain. or not! you can do whatever you want haha I definitely leave some stuff to read and be cranky about but I'm a weirdo I don't recommend doing that it's not healthy. Anyways... I got sidetracked. Try to remember that they're strangers, you don't know them and their opinions and words are not of value to you, they don't matter to you, they have shown themselves to be someone whose opinion does not matter. If they don't like you, so what? Lotta other people do like you!

PSA stalker warning

A PSA to everyone who reads this. I know I haven’t been particularly active lately (though for different reasons, I still browse tumblr multiple times a day). There's someone going around spreading lies about me online, full of ridiculous accusations and insults that I don't care to repeat here. This has been going on for months, over on AO3 and here on tumblr, but since a week or so this person has been going more public about it just because I refuse to engage.

I know for a fact that they've been leaving comments on the AO3 works of people I've interacted and/or are friends with, has sent DMs to mutuals on tumblr and has also posted at least one public AO3 work in the Assassin's Creed tag as a 'gift' to me, filled with more of the same bullshit, which has since been reported and AO3 is looking into it.

I've been ignoring it all so far, a reaction is what these kind of people are after and we all know the wise saying “Don't feed the trolls”, so I just delete, block and move on and that's what I've been doing since it started.

I don't know who this person is or why they're doing it, but I have my suspicions. I will not name this person because I refuse to be part of the toxicity that's so prevalent on the internet nowadays.

Now that this person has gone public though, I feel I should pass around a warning because this has gone beyond trolling. It's targeted harassment at this point and the fact that this person is drawing other people into it is just wrong and vile.

If you receive a strange comment about me full of bullshit claims, please don't engage. Delete it, block the account and if possible, report it.

I'm sorry it has come to this. I don't want to waste more words on this person than strictly necessary but I had to say something.

Ugh. You won't believe this. I'm sorry to bug you, but I just needed to vent.

I saw some idiot on twitter saying that when E met Priscilla he had an eleven year old girl living with him in Germany. They mentioned Scotty Moore said that in his book so I looked it up. What he said was at the time E met Cilla, he had an "even younger German girl" (his words) living in the house with his father and grandmother. Except...well, I can't find any proof of this; there’s no evidence nor mention of this girl (or how old she was) anywhere else in the book nor in any other books written about him. No proof he had anyone else like that living with him in Germany.

So I don’t think that claim is true. Where do people come up with this stuff anyway? How do you not get into an argument with these idiots? Because it's super annoying.

people who claim to hate elvis sure spend an awful lot of time reviling him on the internet, especially by regurgitating half-remembered anecdotal evidence without citing their sources. 🙄 on the other hand, it's also easy to fall into the trap of too-faithful elvis historian; by that i mean that the fact that so much of his life is documented sometimes makes us complacent in our belief that if it can't be verified by multiple primary sources that it must not have happened. but we can't always say, and getting too involved as if the historical accuracy of one particular proposed event is the end-all be-all of elvis fandom can get exhausting.!

i wouldn't be surprised to find out either way, that this was or wasn't true. but you're free to make up your own mind, and if it distresses you, then fwiw i think you Totally have a leg to stand on affirming it never happened, like you said !! ultimately, it doesn't have much bearing on right now- if you like elvis, this vague and nebulous criticism probably isn't the thing that'll make you stop liking elvis, and if you hate elvis, you're probably determined to keep doing that regardless.

regarding the twitdiots- while looking into this claim i found a lady on there who legitimately believed that agent elvis tells the true story of how e was experimented on and mind controlled into drug abuse by the government.. like she said That with her whooole chest. so i don't put much stock in public opinion over there 😂😂💀

i want to fight those people extremely often (they're not just on twitter, either- it seems to have died down a little praise GOD but especially in early days after the movie there was a wave of ppl on here who would put their elvis hate in the main tags. WHICH DROVE ME BATTY), but i come from the "don't feed the trolls" era of fandom. as much as id like to rip 'em a new one when they rehash the same two issues over and over and OVER again ad nauseum, i content myself with the fact that they're living a pathetic existence in which they actively choose to fill their life with something they dislike for... no discernable reason.?

no one who spends their time bringing up a dead celebrity at all opportunities just to bash them is actually open to a discussion. and i do think there is a discussion to be had- his life was certainly very troubled, and i think there are a lot of nuanced issues that benefit from being spoken about openly !!!

I have already had to tell someone else this here but it seems you need to hear it too. first off I dontlike how you use that square ended highlighter resembling brush when drawing them. They look like abstract Minecraft characters.

Seconsd off your jokes are not very funny or at least not in the context of Hypmic they do not seem relevant. You seem to have a very loose understanding of these characters and these stories, as if you were someone just pretending tney were in the fandom because they enjoy the characters on the surface, but do not bother to do digging or reaearch or someone who has only seen Rhyme animal and does not care about their full story and this is why you hyper focus on Dotsuire Hompo to try and mask in the community who know what they are doing

I have been called a troll for this and possibly a hater but I can't remember. The point is I am just saying, you snould take some time off. Take a break from Tumble or at least HypmicTumbler and then in your spare time;

I was thinking about whether or not I should answer this at all but I'll give it a shot.

First and foremost: I don't engage fandoms. I don't create story relevant content because I don't particularly feel like it... not that I should have to justify drawing what I like.

Second: humor is subjective. also the comics I draw are memes. again, I draw those to have fun to make some people chuckle. if it doesn't amuse you, that's totally fine!

I appreciate the art criticism, but unfortunately I only draw on my phone at the moment and I don't have a touch pen to do any better. sorry if this bothers you; not much I can do about it when I am pretty much finger painting digitally.

As for the story stuff... I have actually read all of the drama track translations while listening along, but none of that is really relevant to what I want to draw... I'm not sure I understand what kind of art it is that you want me to produce. like I said, the things I draw are meant to be (subjectively) funny, and I haven't gotten any anon asks like this before about any of the other games / media I created content for. is every piece of fan art you've come across 100% accurate, relevant and/or thought-provoking? I'm sure there are creators that you can follow for those things instead of sifting through my doodles. Sorry if they clutter your feed, I think I'll have to ask you to block me because I don't plan on stopping drawing things that I enjoy.

I appreciate the offer to help me open my eyes to the lore and whatnot, but I respectfully decline. it's nice of you to want to do all those things for me, but I don't like joining discord servers and I don't really think I need to do any of those things you listed either to be allowed to just draw, like thousands of other people on this website do.

I doubt my sense of humor will change, and as for the takes, I haven't had a single one — I just drew characters I liked. I do suggest blocking me though, and I don't mean it in one of those "if you don't like it, block" ways, but just so you can get me out of your way. I think my blog isn't for you, and I hope you find another creator that'll check all your boxes! 😄

Aradia isn't the most perceptive trolls, she already has difficulty with focusing on things that aren't of her immediate special interests and now with the voices of the dead that have recently started whispering in her ears it made it all the harder on her.

That plus her still recoveing from your last escapede, and on top of that you avoiding her like the plague didn't help in the slightest. But she did make an effort to talk to you whenever she could find you, coming to see you even long after her nugbone had healed, asking you about your own broken thoratic struts that you didn't notice at the time because you were so worried about her well being to take care of yourself.

Still, when she did come you could never quite look her in the eye, giving her a half assed excuse and hiding back into your resprite block.

Your face burning up and you feeling the phantom pain from your not fully healed bones on your side, but this was better than facing the facts head on.

She hated you, she had to, you were so sure of that as your lusus was sure that the one week old carcass she brought back was still edible.

So you kept pushing her away trying and trying to avoid letting her say it to your face. Knowing it already hurt, hearing it from her would just break you. But keeping your distance didn't keep you frim falling more and more for her, at the same, it broke your heart bit by bit

At this point you doubt anything you could have done would've saved it.

Not long after you got to move without feeling much pain you took to walking along the wastelands you called a home, this went on for almost two dark seasons. This night wasn't any different, you walked and walked getting so lost in thought you didn't notice you walked right up to Alternia's many beaches until tou felt the waves splashing your ankles and it's cold permeating you carapace.

You stare out at the sea, watching it as if you've never seen it before, witnessing it's power and magnitude, you forget about yourself again. Your mind letting go of all your self loathing for a moment and spiraling into someting much more existential.

Unfortunately this lasts just enough for you to jump at the sudden noise of two fast approaching voices.

Voices you knew way to well, voices that belonged to - shit Feferi and Aradia!

Are they in a date? It has to be! Right??

They're here being all cute, laughing and walking alone at the beach TOGETHER

Of course Aradia would go out with the heiress, that's what she deserves, someone that can treat her like the absolutely unhinged - archeology loving- troll that she is!

They easily see you running on the barren beach and call you over.

Aradia's voice calling your name is like a siren song that freezes you in place , you turn to them, feigning a smile and feeling you face burn with embarassment.

There's been a thousand anti detractors trying to get AO3 taken down for pedophillia, racism fics on real people, double standard abuse with villains, dubcon rape fictions on toxic ships. They refused to back down and still attack anyone who stands in solidarity with it. It comes to the point someone who hated the website so much has used their background with nearly becoming homeless as to acquire more donations and to further spite any person who create problematic creations in the fandom.

It's a cult.

Plain and simple. They aren't doing it because it good it because whatever little group they are in says the other person bad.

It's so stupid that they are attacking AO3 and how much you bet they are all young. Or if they are adults they claim to be the 'good' adults while herding all the younger people to attack others.

Don't give them attention. Don't acknowledge them. Just block them, because by reacting you are GIVING them power and influence.

You are 'spreading' their message. Yes talk about them but don't let people get any direct messages from them.

As I had someone react strongly when they learned I had problematic things and I just refused to fight them. Because I wasn't going to let them put any accusations on me.

Sometimes all you can say is, I'm sorry you think like that but I disagree.

DO NOT get aggressive. Don't fight them, or anything they are likely brainwashed or desperate for companionship that will be in a group they know attacks and hurts REAL people.

And worst case scenario. Block them, no joke just block them as it ain't worth it.

As they say, don't feed the trolls. Don't feed them either they might as well be trolls.

This drabble is preceded by It Has To Be True.

Process | Present Night | Civitrecce

Process closed their eyes as they stood at their viewing screen, trying to force emotion into their voice to sound sincere. Their clothes were still light, their room temperature controlled. It was the middle of the night, when most trolls would be taking their lunch breaks, if they got them.

Civitrecce bustled below. Process felt strange looking at it, unable to inhabit it as they once had, but it was worse to be without the feed.

Especially now. When they had tried and failed to explain the danger the city was in to one of the only people who could do something about it.

“Jastes. Please. I am not lying to you. Fetch Jamie if you like. He can tell you this is true.”

The cyborg’s voice came from the computer, pleasant and unbelieving.

“I’m not relying on a highblood who tried to capture me to tell me if someone who manipulated me is telling the truth. Even if you are, I don’t see how this is my problem.”

Process shook their head, feeling their long hair tossing around their back.

“If the guardian frees itself, it will bring down the wrath of the empire on the city. Its existence will cause this before it ever acts.”

“So you say.” Replied Jastes, still pleasant. “I’ll investigate for myself. To see if this is a trap, or if there’s something down there the resistance could use. If Torvah did make this place, there might be something left.”

“The resistance is finished.” Said Process tiredly. “You have to know that.” It wearily shook its head, even as the logical side of its brain told it there was no point.

“Don’t you speak to me that way.” Jastes’s voice was as sharp as the former AI had ever heard it.

“You brought the empire down by pitting Jamie against me. You forced us to split up. You hurt us for some imagined good! Some great helm coalition! And for what? Nothing’s changed!”

Process opened their eyes, and turned to face the computer, which crackled slightly with green-tinted sparks.

“I’m sorry.”

Jastes laughed, bitter and derisive. The computer’s screen flickered, the colorful screensaver paused for a moment before continuing to draw its patterns.

“You suck at being a troll.”

“I know.” Said the yellowblood quietly. “Please. Listen to me. The guardian could trick you if you speak to it. Torvah made it not only as a defense system, but to lead the empire astray before it would have to fight at all. They wanted as little bloodshed as possible.”

“They also had crappy taste in friends.” The cyborg said pointedly. “I’m not sure I trust my ancestor much more than I trust you.”

Process took deep breaths, hands clenching. This cursed body had so many involuntary reactions. Chimer was forcing them to bear its whims so they could adjust.

Supposedly this was a kindness.

“Don’t look for the guardian. Find your ancestor first.”

“Excuse me.” Said Jastes, curt and annoyed.

“I don’t know what happened to Torvah that night. When it all ended. I never saw them again, never got confirmation of their death.” Process said, eyes closed. Remembering.

Muting its audio input because the screams had become too much.

Leeson, wandering, not knowing who or where he was. Unable to recognize them. Unable to recall them as anything but a thoughtless machine.

The city’s trolls fleeing. Failing. Caught by imperials who cheered to find such a fine bunch of psiionic trolls to put to work.

Smoke. Charred remains. Particulates blocking its screen.

Wiping its Spine’s memories, so the helms did not weep and quail.

Adjusting its own protocols. Taking away the pain.

That had been the logical thing to do, so it could keep functioning.

For it could not ever leave.

It had promised. It had let itself be bound here.

To watch over Civitrecce forever.

With effort, Process opened their eyes again. Difficult, but necessary. They had to keep trying.

“They may have escaped. They may still be out there. Hidden. If anyone could survive that long, it is them. They could help you.”

Process could basically feel the derision radiating off the computer screen. It was an odd experience. They had been able to detect emotions from trolls’ faces and body language for thousands of sweeps without being touched by it directly. It had been information to collect like anything else.

“Process. Get help.” Said Jastes, blunt but not entirely unkind. “I think becoming a troll has made you delusional. You’re not used to a flesh and blood body or a purely organic brain.”

The former AI didn’t speak, so the resistance leader continued.

“The empire would have never let my ancestor escape. They’re dead. No one’s coming to save me or help me. They never have been.”

Still Process didn’t say a word.

“Thanks for the tip. Hope it’s not a trap.”

The computer screen flickered again, and Jastes was gone.

Process looked at the ceiling of their room. Jamie had dropped by a few nights ago to decorate it with glow in the dark stars, claiming he couldn’t stand how boring it was.

Jastes could be going into a trap. He was also the best person to handle the guardian. The only troll who might have a chance of stopping whatever it was planning.

Could it truly escape? Process didn’t know. They weren’t taking chances.

The empire would see it as nothing but a threat, and retaliate in kind. Lowbloods and helms alike would be caught in the crossfire.

“I’m supposed to keep you safe.” Process murmured. “Even from yourself. Until you are ready.”

Torvah had never gotten to the final stage of the project before Civitrecce had been taken. The guardian was incomplete.

This wouldn’t have been a problem, as long as Process had remained in its Spine. As long as someone remained to watch over the city, even if far less effectively than was optimal.

They looked to their viewing screen again, watching passerby, only able to see the surface of the world, cut off from the flow of data beneath. It almost ached, raw from a gaping lack of what should have been.

Was that how the guardian felt?

A sudden, strange thought. Process had never concerned itself with the artifice’s emotions before. Its head hurt. Its heart hurt. Even its lungs seemed to have trouble working, rasping as it struggled to get enough air down its throat.

It put a hand to its face, faintly smelling the lotion it used to make sure its skin did not take on rough and unsettling textures.

“Jastes. I don’t know if I can endure what you have done to me.”

There was no answer, only the soft glowing of the ceiling stars, winking away as if to gently mock the former AI’s plight.

I always thought lawxrobin content was pretty weak and got shipped just because they're good looking, but 1055 made me a bit nervous, you think oda could plan it? if it was just for law to get the poneglyph he couldve added in someone from kid's crew too, idk. but i was surprised that toei didnt add anything special to that scene of them talking about the 'd', you think they know future stuff so they didnt ''feed' it too much?altough they did a lot with robin and jinbe but they had to pad anyway

I normally don't watch the anime but I heard that the scenes with Robin and Jinbe had been more but it made sense within the context. They were trying to act like Beast Pirates.

As for the talk between Robin and Law in the anime, if you tell me which episode it happens I'll have a closer look at that too.

Because the Manga gives nothing. Law says he trusts Robin with his name, but two reasons I can think of.

She's been on the run for so long she knows how to keep a secret

it's a way to make her trust him to get information.

And it works. She does give him informations. I don't think she trusts him though. She accepts him because of Luffy. Luffy likes him so she stays polite.

And now onto Chapter 1055. Because at least here I can take some of your worries from your shoulders, I hope.

Before I read it, Twitter made it sound like there was something important and big happening between them. And then I read the chapter and I started to laugh so hard.

The first thing out of Robins mouth is an insult. Towards Law. "I'm surprised you sniffed us out..." the three dots are not hinting towards something nice.

Law even says "Don't act like I'm some kind of Hyena."

And before that he sounds like he does not trust Robin "You weren't with the others so obviously I was suspicious."

She is not there, she is up to something, gathering information that might be useful for him and his goals.

That is not in favour of Law/Robin.

Then the scene in the little tunnel?

Robin looked so uncomfortable and annoyed with Law. He does not give a single fuck about her personal space. He could have waited for a minute or two and then went in instead he used his power to get in, right beside Robin he didn't even crawl down himself.

Sorry but if that is what they go after to show that FRobins reign of love and prosperity is dawning then I'll laugh in their faces.

Law does not even want to be there "How Long will this take?" it sound like he has more important things to do.

So no, I don't think Oda even considers these two as a couple. Law just uses Robin as means for information.

Yeah, so far we're safe in my opinion.

This does not mean that Oda does not continue to troll us though......... but all of this? Pretty weak, Zoro/Robin and Jinbe/Robin are stronger than Law/Robin

One more chance before I hate you.

In the last year, I can remember 3 instances where people screwed up and were on the receiving end of online hate and trolling.

Jocelyn Chia - She is a stand-up comedian and cracked up a joke about the disappeared flight MH370 which was very insensitive to the victims and their families.

Pushpal Roy - An HDFC bank manager who was recorded abusing junior employees for not reaching their sales target.

Cameroon Green - Australian cricketer who took a controversial catch of Shubman Gill in the final of WTC between India vs Australia.

Now these are just recent examples off the top of my head, I am sure every day some people screw up and receive online hate. I read about this stuff on social media and go through the comments that people post. For example, Jocelyn is a Singaporean-born and one of the comments was "Jocelyn does not represent us Singaporeans. She represents her family and her upbringing". More comments were worse than this. Going through these comments I felt bad. Do we really know her family values and her upbringing? I am in no way defending what she said. Whatever she said was definitely wrong and insensitive but what my point is do we really need to stoop this low to make someone feel so bad about their act? For all that we know her parents must be the most sensitive people and they truly feel sorry for what she said. Or Jocelyn herself is very sensitive but this one joke is what she did not thought it through. She did not know that it could hurt people the way it did. I mean this has happened to me so many times when I say something in a group and then later thinking about it I regret what I said.

Same with Pushpal Roy. Few people didn't find him online so were commenting on HDFC's page about him. Obviously, what he did and how he spoke to his colleagues is not appreciated and should not be tolerated but what if this is 3rd time he is telling them and they are still making the same mistake? Do we know the back and forth of the story? We see one side of the coin, make our instant judgments, and share our thoughts in a very insensitive way.

In this age of social media, no one has time but everyone has an opinion. They don't have time to research things, try to understand the issue to its core, form an opinion, and then post it online. They see an incident in isolation and immediately start spewing venom. Since we do no research on our own, a lot of our opinions are dependent on how the post is written.

Consider these two headlines,

"Monster on the Streets: Ruthless Murderer Kills Own Boss!" and "Tragic Homicide Occurs: Individual Involved in Fatal Incident with Former Employer"

Reading the first headline you have already labeled the murderer as a villain without understanding the situation. The second headline is at least a bit balanced. It encourages you to read more and find out what was the actual situation. Why the employee had to kill his own boss. Imagine we scrolling through our social media feed, read the first headline and within 10 seconds we find ourselves commenting on the post "This person should be hanged. He has no right to live. What an inhuman creature. ". No time to think or reflect. The worst case is when the news headline mentions the race or religion of the person who has done this. "Ruthless Asian Murderer...." or "Ruthless Muslim Murderer...." or "Ruthless Hindu Murderer...." and again we as "innocent" social media consumers would fall for it. Some would get all riled up and add a hate comment on the post for the community, and someone would do nothing but in their mind make a point about how a member of a particular community did this heinous act.

Now there are a lot of wrongs here. It is a fact that someone killed someone. Why they killed some person is secondary but killing someone is wrong. It is wrong that the article wrote a sensationalized headline for more views/likes or whatever and it is also wrong that we get angry about this immediately just after reading the headline and without understanding the complete picture. So yes, there are a lot of wrongs but which of these wrongs can we control? Which of these wrongs can we change? Can we take a break before forming our opinions? Can we give some time to understand the situation completely?

Can we give that person one more chance before we start hating that person for what they did which may or may not impact us? Maybe it was just in the heat of the moment, maybe they were weak for that 10 seconds when they committed the mistake. Can we allow them to be a human who makes mistakes and not behave in a way that we have never done anything wrong?

Can we just take a deep breath before we say or post anything?

How The Demon Brothers React After Fighting With Their SO

tw: some angst with resolution at the end, mentions of past arguments, insecurity.

Lucifer:

This man is petty as hell.

He doesn’t do the silent treatment, but he acts like you aren’t dating.

If you need to work on something together, you’re a co-worker.

At RAD you’re a classmate.

Around the house you’re just a housemate.

His poker face is immaculate and it will not crack when you’re around.

If someone didn’t know what was happening, they’d probably think you two barely knew each other.

However, you won’t notice, but as soon as you look the other way his eyes are on you.

He’s used to arguing with his brothers and is no stranger to explosive fights that end with he and the other person not being on speaking terms.

But you’re different.

He tries to go on with business as usual, but he can’t think about anything other than how much he misses you.

Yet, he lets it continue because he just can’t put his pride aside and apologize.

If you decide to sleep in your old room it’ll both hurt his feelings and royally piss him off.

He thinks you’re being childish and will be pretty rude about it, but that’s because internally his blood just ran cold.

It adds a degree of seriousness to the argument that he’s uncomfortable with.

Yes he’s mad, but he can’t lose you.

If you still sleep in his bed, he makes sure to scoot over to the very edge so he doesn’t cuddle you in his sleep.

In fact, the first night after the argument he’d probably put a pillow between you just to really punctuate the fact that he’s still upset.

I’d say it could go 4 days to a week tops without you making up.

After a point though, he just can’t function until the issue is resolved. He can’t sleep, he’s falling behind on his work, and he’s just generally not doing well.

You get called to his office one night and find him at his desk surrounded by piles of paper, disheveled and exhausted.

“MC, come sit down. I’d like to talk this through. Please.”

Mammon:

He’s so dramatic.

You dare defy him? The Great Mammon can’t believe this tiny fragile human would have the audacity.

The theatrics are just a front though.

His ‘The Great Mammon’ act is a mask for his insecurity, one he hasn’t had to use with you in awhile.

Even as the words leave his mouth he regrets them.

He’s going to be very uncomfortable with everything until the argument is resolved, but most of all himself.

He’s learned not to take his brothers too seriously when they toss insults his way, but words have a way of morphing to belief over time.

Internally he is going to be super hard on himself.

Regardless of if the fight was his fault or not, he’s going to kick himself constantly for making yet another mistake.

He’s over the argument pretty fast. The anger quickly melts into anxiety.

Are you going to leave him? Do you hate him? Did he hurt your feelings?

That being said, he doesn’t know if you’re still mad and he doesn’t know how to ask.

As a defense mechanism, he defaults to how he treated you when you first arrived in the devildom.

Calls you human, disregards you, stuff like that.

If you decide to sleep in another room, before midnight expect him to be knocking on the door.

“Oi, MC. You awake? I just - I can’t - *sigh* Can we talk about this?”

If you sleep in his bed, he makes a point of sleeping with his back to you.

Less because he’s actually mad and more because he doesn’t want his image of you as he drifts to sleep to be a look of anger.

Though as soon as he passes out he’ll roll over and tuck you into his arms on instinct.

I’d say any after effects of an argument with Mammon would be resolved in a day, maybe two tops.

Leviathan:

Arguing activates his trolling the forums mode.

Goes back to calling you a normie and contradicts everything you say.

He’s less mad about the argument and more using the bitterness to cope with how upset he is.

He feels like a break up is less of an if and more of a when.

Why would someone as amazing as you settle for weird otaku like him?

Honestly doesn’t understand why you’re with him in the first place, so when there’s a serious argument he assumes its over.

Tbh don’t know how you and Levi would sleep together being that I doubt two could fit in a tub, but any deviation to your routine sends him into a panic.

It’s his reality check that the situation is serious and he needs to fix it NOW.

He’d have trouble apologizing in person. He can’t think of what to say, he stumbles over his words, and he feels like he’s on the verge of a panic attack.

Instead, expect a long ass text message.

He says how sorry he is, how much he misses and loves you, and legit begs you to forgive him.

If you sleep with him like normal, he’ll probably try to make up after laying there for awhile. His mind is going a million miles an hour and there’s no way he can sleep.

Still really has trouble verbalizing how he feels, so give the poor boy a break and take over the conversation.

He hasn’t had a serious relationship before and he doesn’t know what he should do to make it better.

So the after effects will last however long it takes him to read several mangas, watch some anime, and play a few games to see how the characters get over arguments in the story.

Satan:

Satan makes sure not to fight with you over minor issues.

He’s worked tirelessly to tame his wrath and he refuses to feed into it over a minor issue.

Thus, if you fight with Satan it’s a major argument and it’s explosive.

The aftermath isn’t much better.

He doesn’t want to risk blowing up again, so he’s frighteningly calm.

He’s an absolute master of the silent treatment.

He won’t say a word to you until he’s certain he’s calmed down enough.

For the first few days he’ll straight up leave a room if you enter.

For a good while the only way you can expect to communicate with him is through his body language and the expression in his eyes.

Satan’s biggest fear is losing control and lashing out at you.

He couldn’t live with himself if he hurt you and he can’t stand the thought of you being afraid of him.

He’s a whirlwind of emotions, so he isolates himself until he can figure out how to deal with it.

Not just from you, but from everyone else too.

Satan will not share a bed with you for at least the first night.

If he got worked up enough to actually fight, it’s gonna take him time to simmer down.

And he’d rather not risk doing or saying something he regrets in the meantime.

Once he’s ready, he’ll approach you when he’s completely calmed down and has thoroughly analyzed the situation.

He’s considered both of your sides, tried to pinpoint what caused the disagreement to turn into a fight, and made a plan of action to prevent it from happening again.

“MC? I’ve been thinking quite a bit about what happened. Would you please talk it through with me?”

He won’t apologize for the argument if he feels like he was right, but he will apologize for letting the disagreement escalate into a fight.

Satan could go weeks without making up if necessary, but he tries to resolve it within a couple of days.

Asmodeus:

Wants to give you the silent treatment, but is physically incapable.

He can’t stand to have you ignore him.

He’s the type to go back to normal then suddenly remembers you guys had a fight.

“Wait, no! I’m not talking to you! I’m mad at you!”

His biggest downfall is that he’s so stubborn.

If he thinks he was right, he will die on that hill.

There are arguments with his brothers that happened a thousand years ago and he could still tell you exactly why he was right.

But with you, he realizes that doesn’t matter too him nearly as much as it usually does.

If it means going back to normal, he’ll forget who’s right or wrong.

If you sleep in another room, he’s beyond offended.

“What?! Well fine! I don’t want you in my bed anyway!”

Laying in bed alone is a different story though.

He can’t sleep. All he can think about is you. Your face when you sleep next to him, your smell, the feeling of his arms around you.

He 100% cries.

Finally goes and knocks on your door with wet, glossy eyes.

“MC? Can we talk about this? I can’t get my beauty sleep and my tears are wiping off all of my skin care lotion!”

Will throw himself into your arms before you can answer.

If you sleep next to him still, he rolls over and watches you sleep.

It puts him at peace and he decides seeing your sweet, resting face every morning is worth more to him than the argument.

He’ll initiate the conversation the next morning.

I think Asmo could make it a few days if it was a really serious argument, but he will not function well until you make up.

Beelzebub:

Wants to make up immediately.

He doesn’t like to argue, even less so with you.

Whether he was right or wrong, he blames himself. He’ll take all the blame in the world if it makes you happy.

He’ll go make you your favorite food and bring it to you.

If he thinks you don’t want to talk to him, he’ll leave it outside your door and text you to let you know it’s there.

He’s honestly devastated if you decide to sleep in another room.

You guys migrate to your old room when you want privacy from Belphie, but you almost never sleep separately.

Seeing you grab your pillows and march out of the room nearly stops his heart.

He goes completely numb and silent as he just stares at the space you had just occupied.

Like Levi, he thinks this means the relationship is over and he genuinely does not know what to do with himself.

He can’t even bring himself to eat, he just wants to lie there, lost and trying to grapple with his emotions.

He’s another one who will absolutely cry, but unlike Asmo he will make sure no one knows it.

If you still sleep in his bed, he’s very nervous about it.

He doesn’t know if it’s okay to touch you, what he can or can’t say, stuff like that.

He just lays there stiff as a board not even able to close his eyes.

Honestly the fight would probably have to be resolved before bed. His anxiety just can’t take it.

I don’t think he’d initiate the apology. Not because he doesn’t want to make up but because his confidence is rock bottom in these situations.

He catastophizes and honestly thinks you hate him.

If you don’t initiate the apology soon, Belphie will. He can feel what his twin won’t say, and he knows Beel won’t approach you about it for fear of making it worse.

Belphie will lock you two in a room if that’s what it takes for you to make up.

Belphegor:

The embodiment of if looks could kill.

He won’t talk to you, won’t look at you, basically pretends you aren’t there.

If he must interact with you he’ll roll his eyes and sigh the whole time.

Tries to sleep through any interaction so he doesn’t have to deal with it.

He feels almost betrayed by the fight.

He thought the relationship was stronger than to have such a huge divide, so he’s really insecure about it.

After the first day, the anger has melted away to guilt.

He ‘s not guilty that you fought, but he is guilty about how he treated you after.

Guilt and self-blame have become unwelcome friends at this point. Guilt over Lilith, over his plans to destroy the human world, everything.

But more than anything else, the guilt for the fact that he attacked you weighs on him every day.

He moved past it quickly after, essentially pretending he hadn’t killed you, but that’s because he just couldn’t confront what he’d done.

He feels like the luckiest demon alive that you forgave him, let alone opened you heart enough to love him, and now it’s all in tatters.

Another thing to regret.

If you decide to sleep separately, it’ll hit him like a bag of bricks.

“You - what? Where are you going?”

It’ll take him a second to process what you were doing, but then he’ll roll over and let you leave.

“Fine. Don’t let the door hit you.”

No one will see him for awhile.

Belphie sleeps all the time anyway, but he just can’t make himself get out of bed.

If you don’t approach him to apologize, Beel will tell you that he’s been nauseous and randomly emotional which must mean his twin is coping very badly.

Will beg you to go make Belphie happy again.

If you sleep in his bed still, the argument will be resolved by morning.

He can’t keep himself from embracing you in his sleep, and it’s hard to say you’re mad at someone when you wake up in their loving arms.

It’s hard to pinpoint how long it could last with Belphie. If you don’t apologize first, he won’t let himself be conscious long enough to approach you.

This is both my first hc post as well as my first obey me post so I’m sorry if le boys are ooc. I just got this idea and couldn’t stop thinking about it so here we are.
