"if your girlfriend is genderfluid why do you usually only use she/her pronouns for them" maybe. maybe it's because they asked me to do that. maybe it's because. they prefer that right now. maybe genderfluid people are not all the exact same. maybe some people do not WANT you to switch pronouns mid-sentence. maybe i know my loved ones' preferences better than a stranger on the internet does.

Found this on Facebook the other day and thought I’d share:
Tumblr media
[ID: A friendly reminder that you don’t need to fully understand the nuances of gender identity to know that each individual person knows who they are better than you ever will.]

Just thinking about how in Book Omens Aziraphale is a fem coded intellectual gay (male) and Crowley is a masc coded business gay (male).
Whereas in Show Omens, Aziraphale is masc-but-in-a-flaming-foppish-but-also-casual-way gay (as in happy) and Crowley is fem-but-in-a-butch-punk-androgenous-way queer (as in fuck you).
The show team really took a look at some pretty gay source material and went, yeah, but how can we queer this up even more and I love them for it.

Dear mutuals, followers, and random strangers: I have something to ask from you
18th to 25th February 2024 there will be a global strike for Palestine.
I understand things have been extremly depressing and you feel hopeless and so do I. But we cannot stop. I will not be silent and neither should you. Please, fight. Fight for our fellow human beings in need.
How do you support the stirke?
1. No purchasing of any kind. Online, irl, local shops, supermarkets - nothing. Make sure to gather necessities before the strike like food or higene products.
2. Don't go to work/school.
3. Speak up about Palestine and for the following week talk ONLY about it. Use your voice to support palestine people, artists, journalists etc. Don't engage in any other content and use social media only to talk about Palestine.
4. Educate yourself on palestine culture, make food and art related to palestine and post it online. Don't let Palestine die.
5. Donate. This is incredibly important.
6. Call/send letters/email your representatives about the Palestine.
7. Educate others. Organise meeting in your local library or school to talk about palestine culture.
8. Put up flyers that will inform others about situation in Palestine and encourage others to fight.
9. Go to a protest (make sure to read throughly how to do it proprly)
10. Stay safe. Don't do anything that will put you in a dangerous situation. You are important too. Take care of yourself.
11. Reblog this post. The more people know, the more can help.
There are probably more I am missing. You can do something. Please consider joining us.

hey shoutout to lesboys who identify as such for ANY reason
to lesboys who are tomboys
to lesboys who use the term as an expression of masculinity
to lesboys who enjoy being called terms like boy, man, etc. whose gender still isn't man
to lesboys who's system uses it as a collective identity
to lesboys who are butch and/or transmasc
to lesboys who are genderfluid, bigender, multigender, and loves using the term to express both their orientation and multigender identity
to lesboys who are ftm
to lesboys who are trans men and still feel connected to lesbian identity
to lesboys who are openly and unashamedly men
you shouldn't have to change yourself or become more palatable to people who only conditionally accept you. you deserve to present yourself however you like and it doesn't matter if other people feel offended by it. a bigoted person feeling hurt about you expressing yourself in a way they don't like is not a tangible form of hurt

Legolas: *sees a bunch of people do stupid shit* Okrea, save their souls. Akami, give me the patience to endure these fools.
Elladan: Why do you do that?
Legolas: do what?
Elladan: why do you invoke “Okrea” and “Akami”?
Legolas: ... because Okrea is the godess of exploration (regardless of how stupid it is) hence me praying to them to help those souls. And Akami is the goddess of war, hence my patron as a warrior?
Elrohir: what my brother means to ask is: why do you pray to these ‘gods’ who you’ve never seen, instead of the valar, whom you know exist?
Legolas: because i know the valar exist, and that’s exactly why i don’t pray to them.
Elladan: wha- but the valar are real!
Legolas: the valar are real, but never done a thing to help my people. My gods, however? I might not be able to meet with them face to face like you do with yours, but my people have been worshipping them since before Orome came and we’re still here, alive and kicking. Which is more than i can say about most of your kin, who have long since started to abandon these lands.

So, I started a new school recently, and when I was asked what my pronouns are I said they/he and any Neos which are the pronouns I feel most comfortable with and put in my internet bios, but not the pronouns I usually give in person. Usually I just say they/them because it's easier and still affirming, but this time I didn't. I don't know why, but I'm glad I did.
I'm actually getting referred to with he/him, not just they/them which is kind of surreal. No one's used neos yet, but just getting called he is wild to me. I'd forgotten that sometimes when you ask people actually listen.
I'd forgotten that some people are kind.
