A friend linked me to one of the funniest things I've seen all week:
Tumblr media
The FREE Movie, which is a project where anyone on the internet can draw a frame of the bee movie and they're being put together to create a full film. It doesn't require any artistic talent, since you'll mostly just be tracing over an existing frame, and it's a lot of fun.
Potential epilepsy warning for the site, though, as it flashes quickly between frames.
Highly recommend adding a frame!
EDIT: all of the frames have been drawn! But I wouldn't be shocked if they opened it back up eventually.

when they said in Dune that they needed spice for space travel i thought it was used as some sort of fuel but no apparently it's just because your pilot needs to be hight out of his mind to be able to safely navigate big ships into space

Hey, fellow space nerds, NASA just released its own free, zero-ad streaming service with all kinds of space-themed documentaries - and a few about Earth, too.

so I'd never seen Bee Movie before despite it being a meme. I'd almost like avoided it because it felt like the meme was funnier without knowing anything about the movie
now I'm watching The Free Movie because honestly it felt like the correct way to experience bee movie without ever actually experiencing bee movie and
uh
is this actually what it's like?
wholly aside from the fever dream concussion-vision of the fucking visual experience, complete with subliminal-messaging single frames of dicks everywhere, is this the actual script?
"is that uhhh.......... a bee joke?" "yup that's the kind of stuff we do" "yeah, different. so anyway.........."
the long pauses. the weird disaffected-youth-in-the-working-world theme. "my only interest is flowers." the bee sexual dimorphism and having sexy boy bees trying to impress sexy girl bees. and yet deciding to keep the real-life detail of all the bees in a hive being related. mommy bee and daddy bee. "why do girls put rings on their toes?" "why not?" "I dunno seems a little kinky"
is that funny? are these things funny? did they mean for it to be this awkward? is it The Autism(tm) meaning I don't get it and there are actually people who talk to each other this way? i am aware this is setting up to a romance, is this how the writers thought romances go? I am having a blast, this is terrible. this badly written bee and this badly written woman deserve to bee together.

“Well, Israel aren’t committing war crimes.”
The IDF literally tell you on social media what they are doing. They just don’t think Palestinians are human.
To quote from the film Jennifer’s body: “I don’t have a confession, I have a declaration.”
