#this app can get a little overwhelming sometimes
Note
i wish someone would just invent an app like simply plural but where you can easily share it. everyone says use google docs or something else like it where you can't create individual profiles that don't clutter the page. we have a lot of alters and we're getting increasingly frustrated that we can't find anything to list them in a way that isn't overwhelming. our alters also like to visually represent themselves but don't really have anywhere to have like a gallery or anything. we do video visits with our therapist so we can't physically show her our phone. it's so frustrating.
Ah yeah, we feel you there. Our system uses Simply Plural but it can be kind of clunky or difficult to use for our specific purposes sometimes (not knocking the app at all… We love the app and use it all the time, we just agree that there are certain features that it just doesn’t have).
Maybe making some sort of physical journal or binder could help you guys. If you have access to a printer, you could print out little picrews or other images to include, and you could also draw and write in it, too. That way, you could have something to bring to therapy that you could show your therapist without needing your phone for it.
Also maybe consider making a Carrd? Though I think the unpaid version of Carrd has restrictions for the number of pages and images you can include, so that could probably cause some issues.
We know the website Lighthouse doesn’t have an app, and we haven’t personally used it so we can’t speak to its features, but maybe it has some capabilities that might work for you? Could be worth checking out…
If anyone knows of any Simply Plural alternatives that work well for outside sharing, please let us know!

sometimes looking at like Self Help Strategies lists for the symptoms I'm having is always just like:
thing that I already do
thing I have tried 10 times
thing I already do
thing that I don't have the money to do
thing I already do
thing I've been doing since I was 10yrs old to no avail
thing that is impossible given my situation
thing that doesn't apply to me
thing that I already do
thing I have already tried
hrmm, oh wait, maybe finally- OH, yeah.. okay. thing that I already do but it was just phrased slightly differently
thing I have already done
#I think maybe productivity tips help less if the reason you're unproductive is partially like.. physcial health and other extenral things#out of your control. rather than just like having trouble paying attention or spending too much time on tiktok or whatever#all the strategic to do lists in the world are not going to somehow prevent me from waking up with a debilitating migraine or whatever#or having external stressors or lacking resources and connections or other Productivity Essentials etc.#especially many tips involve stuff like 'cut off from social media' since thats the modern day time waster for so many poeple#and it's like.. lol.. i can hardly even maintain a blog even thuogh i actively WANT TO DO SO. 'shut off your smart phone!' already#done babey i fucking hate smart phones i shall never use an app unless i am forced to. 'delete tiktok' yep. already covered. tiktok and#all of those thinsg are my enemies. 'save money by cancelling some of your services' cool. already ahead of you.#who the fuck is out here paying for like 10 different subscription services. pirated videos uploaded to google drive and youtube to mp3#my beloved. etc. etc. and so on. 'socialize less' .........LOL.. if only you knew.. mr.writer of the article. i can barely muster#talking to friends more than once a month and even less if I'm actively sick (often occurence) etc. etc. ... hewoo#I think maybe instead of generic productivity tips I need more like.. how to refocus and be productive anyway even if you have a headache#or are nauseous or etc. Not that those are always things to ignore. and of course you should let your body rest and etc. But plenty of peop#e have mild physical symptoms and just work through them. Ithink something about the way my body/mind is SOO hyper attuned to all#sensory information just makes it like... constantly 'GRR well I cant focus on WRITING right now because my lef#t ear feels weird and my socks are too itchy and my back has a strange pressure and I'm vaguely warm and my eye feels some ssort of#way it doesnt normally feel and I'm hyperaware of my breathing and also nauseous for no reason' and like half of those things I#think '''normal''' people wouldnt even notice or at least would be able to just live through. but for me it's like.. nealry impossible to i#gnore and soooo distracting always. like 'wahh.. nooo we can't draw or get anything done.. my legs feel slightly heavy or something!!'#like............. ok......... who cares. thats not even a PAIN sensation it's just something weird. but it's just like.. NO. constant#mental alerts about the 'heaviness' of your legs be upon ye. Though Imean like.. yes.. 70% of the time I am in genuine pain#or having some sort of actual ailment with trackable physical symptoms. but sometimes it's just like... we could totally be working right#now and ignoring this silly thing but my brain is fixated on it for no reason uncontrollably. etc. etc. I guess it's the same way that like#most people can go to a grocery store without the whole experience being so overwhelming and so much stuff going on at once#that they have to rest afterwards but like.. in my own HOME doing NOTHING i feel like I should be able to not get overwhelmed lol. ANYWAY#Rolling my bastard little rock up a dumbass hill and so on and so forth

Since I just turned off reblogs on another post that quickly went from "let's have fun" to "this is fucking awful, I'm taking away this toy," please read this BlueSky thread from rahaeli, who I don't think is on here.
Most of it I've c/p for ease of readability bc BSky's threading sucks.
Okay, it's time again to talk about what the experience of having a social media account with a bunch of followers (*) is like. (* "a bunch" of followers is platform dependent. I'm getting irritating shit at 2k on Bluesky I didn't get until 10k on Twitter.)
(Ugh, wait, nevermind, I hit 3k while I wasn't looking. Anyway.) Someone who has never had more than 100 followers literally cannot comprehend the sheer volume of the responses you get. Even if individual posts don't get a ton of replies, if you post with any frequency, it accumulates.
Once you hit the first degradation threshold, your experience gets a little bit shittier. It's overwhelming volume, but the people who are following you are mostly ideologically, socially, and culturally aligned to you. You have the same concept of social media manners.
You'll get a few duplicate comments, because nobody reads the comments before they reply, but they're mostly from cool people, so you just roll your eyes a little at the same joke five times. You still make friends. You still have fun and can wind up finding neat new people.
And then those neat new people retweet your stuff, and it starts reaching out to an audience of people who are less aligned with what you think of as social media manners. You start getting some replies you find obnoxious: they're in good faith, you can tell, but they just grate on you sometimes.
And then *those* people start reposting your more viral threads, and you get people following you who are three degrees of separation from the people you are most likely to vibe with. And three degrees of separation is the second degradation threshold.
The second degradation threshold is where you start getting the constant, low-grade sand-in-a-pearl annoyances. The person who wants to argue with everything. The 15 people making the identical shitty "joke" that's actually just doing the exact thing you're complaining about, "ironically".
The people who look at a post that contains no question marks and think "there is an implied question here and I will answer it!" and leap to offer the most basic advice that you already thought of because you have existed for more than three seconds and can, in fact, think of the obvious answers.
The people who are spoiling for a fight no matter what, because you used one word in the post that is their particular berserk button and they're going to scream at you for hating waffles because you said you like pancakes even though you never mentioned waffles.
It is constant. It is never-ending. You cannot escape it. Every time you post anything at all, opening the app means wading through twenty garbage replies for every reply from someone who is actually cool and you'd vibe with just fine if you chatted with them.
You want to bitch about a minor annoyance? There will be 40 people all giving you the same useless advice. You want to squee about something you're enjoying that's making you happy? There will be 40 people coming to scold you because that thing isn't morally pure enough.
Every post. Every day. About 75% of the time you compose a post, you will get halfway through writing it and think "I can't deal with the replies this will get today" and delete it. You stop talking about things you enjoy, because you're tired of people shitting on them.
You stop complaining about the tiny annoyances in your life that you want to bitch about, because weirdly enough you already HAVE tried the first fifteen obvious suggestions you're going to get, and you don't want to spend an hour explaining why they won't work to everyone who's "helping".
(But you can't just ignore the "helpful" posts and not engage with them, because then you start getting accusations of being "elitist" and "standoffish" and jesus, lady, we're just trying to help here, why do you have to be so fucking rude and stuck-up, you full of yourself bitch.)
If you are any less gracious to the 40th person than that person thinks they deserve, there is a very good chance they're going to call you a cunt and drag allot their friends in to dogpile you and make the site unusable for at least three days.
The third degradation threshold is when you start needing to regularly call your local police department and politely remind them there are people who get very mad at you online and will try very hard to have you murdered by armed agents of the state and you'd appreciate it if they didn't do that.
I first had that conversation with my local police department in 2003. It's gotten faster now, at least? You usually don't have to start by explaining what social media even is.
Bluesky has tighter thresholds than Twitter did. On Twitter it was nicely exponential: the breakpoints were around 1k, 10k, 100k. Bluesky is running faster. I'm getting Twitter 10k annoyances at a Bluesky 3k. I am trying very, very hard not to switch over into Twitter 10k defensive posting.
I want to leave the defensive posting back on Twitter. I really do. I want to be able to bitch about a thing without having to wade through 20 "go try [extremely obvious thing]". I want to post about a thing I enjoy without 20 people yelling at me I'm bad for enjoyjng it.
There's a difference between arguing about an idea (which I love) and the onslaught of constantly infuriating replies plucking at your last goddamn nerve. And the more "last goddamn nerve" replies you get, the crankier you are, and then people lose their shit at you because you snapped at them.
So maybe let's all start keeping a few principles in mind: 1) if there's more than one reply, check to see if your point has already been covered. If it has, you don't need to repeat it.
2) Even the funniest joke gets old after the 20th time you hear it in 3 hours.
3) "I'm going to jokingly do the exact thing you just were complaining about because ha ha the real joke is I would never do that asshole thing" is never funny, and it is indistinguishable from you actually doing the asshole thing.
4) If there is no question mark in the tweet, think twice about offering "helpful" advice unless you and the poster know each other *mutually*, not just parasocially, you know it's likely to be new info for them, and you ask "do you want to hear how I handle this?" first and get an affirmative.
5) If you are going to ignore 4, ask yourself "is this a suggestion that someone with a reasonable level of generalized adult knowledge would think of trying within the first 15 minutes of approaching the problem?" If so, do not suggest it.
6) Do you really need to nitpick that grammar, spelling, or word choice? Did you understand what they were trying to say before autocorrect mangled it or they blanked on the exact word they wanted and found a close one? If you understood the meaning, don't be their volunteer copyeditor.
7) Is someone excited about a thing you hate? Are they having fun with the thing? Is the thing a front for white supremacist recruiting or organizing the overthrow of the US government? If the answers are yes, yes, and no, respectively, shut the fuck up and let people enjoy things.
8) We are all occasionally That Commenter. If someone you have a pre-existing relationship with replies to you and lets you know you're being That Commenter, it's because they have a positive enough impression of you they don't want to go straight to block. Treat this like the warning sign it is.
9) It deserves repeating: remember the Law of Large Numbers. Even if you only commented once, you may be the hundredth irritating comment that person got that day. Bluesky's terrible threading makes this worse: people don't keep a single thread of mounting crankiness the way they did on Twitter.
9a) If someone's top tweet sounds really annoyed at something, maybe check their timeline or follow back their nested self-QTs to see what level of irritable they're at and over what so you don't step straight on the same rakes they've been dodging all day.
10) However, remember that BSky also doesn't show replies made by people the OP has blocked in a thread. If they post about a pattern that's making them cranky and you look and don't see anything, they probably already blocked the worst of it. They still saw it in their mentions in order to block.
I really cannot overstate how absolutely exhausting and soul-destroying the experience of having a large account can be. It's also somehow still rewarding, or we wouldn't do it. But especially if you're a woman or a person of color or a female POC, that balance is really, really close most days.
And of course, the ones who stay are the ones who do find it still rewarding enough to keep doing it despite the constant irritations.
From here, the thread moves into a conversation about stuff specific to BlueSky, but the majority of the thread is truly applicable to Tumblr as well.
You may be the first person to comment "op lives on a planet without music," or "op has never heard of [thing OP didn't mention for whatever reason]," but you're probably not, and at a certain point, it becomes like someone tapping a sunburn.
So yeah.

𓆩Bob Velseb x Reader HCs𓆪
Tumblr media
Wooooo, first (official) post on this absolute garbage fire of an app. And of course it's Bob ✋💀 but is anyone really complaining? Because I'm sure not. Anyways this post was made really late at night, and there may be grammar and spelling mistakes because I'm running a fever rn- so I'm sorry 😭
CW+TW; Cannibalism, Murder, Knife mentions, Blood mentions, NSFW at the end ;)
🜲 Bob's a big guy, I think we all know this- but he's also really, really comfortable. And warm. He's the best cuddle buddy, hands down. The butcher man will often times pick you up from behind, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck while mumbling something like "I've missed ya, sugar" after a long day of "work".
🜲 He almost always has his hands on you, even in public! He's usually got an arm wrapped around your waist, or a hand on your shoulder. Hell, sometimes he's even HOLDING you. It's really sweet, but sometimes unexpected or overwhelming.
🜲 Bob is really big on cuddles! He's either got you in his lap, or snuggled up to his side. Sometimes the big guy falls asleep on you; rather effectively trapping you in your spot until he wakes up. It's all in good nature, of course, it just means that he loves you.
🜲 PRAISE. Both giving and receiving, Bob LOVES it! Especially from you. Speaking of which, you'll usually have a "You look stunnin' t'night, sweetpea. I could just eat you up" or a "Not even angels compare to what you've got, sweetness" whispered into your ear. Bob never fails to make you blush.
🜲 Big guy is very protective. If another person is even THINKING about trying to hurt his little darlin' consider them dead in an instant. That goes for bastards trying to flirt with you, too. You're HIS and his only.
🜲 Bob's anger can get ahold of him sometimes, and it's overwhelming. But he'd never, EVER take it out on you- you mean too much to him. Most of the time he'll just leave for a few minutes, before coming back covered in blood. Sure, red stains get everywhere but it could be worse!
🜲 His knife is the same as his anger. He'd never draw it on you (unless you reeeaallllllly asked him to). Sure, he's a cannibal and all- but the idea of knowing that he hurt you? Bob doesn't like to think or even TALK about it. The idea is often shoved down with a "Hm. Interestin'. Anyhow, did ya hear 'bout the news this mornin'?"
🜲 Bob has, and will try to get you to eat "Long Pork" as he calls it. You know damn well it's human meat, and have expressed your discomfort with consuming the substance. But Bob is persistent, always saying something like "Awh, C'mon, sweetness. Just a bite? I promise it ain't all that bad. Tastes just like Pork!" And "I'll give ya some special Lovin' if ya try iiitt~"
🜲 He also really, really likes cooking for you! Any dish you can think of, he's got the skills to do it! Which often leads to him making you all your favorite meals whenever you're sick, or feeling down. Physical contact, acts of service and personal time are his love language, after all.
🜲 Bob also really enjoys giving you tiny little trinkets! Anything that be finds on his victims that he thinks you might like, he's taking. Sure the items are always a little bloody, but that can just be washed right off!
꒷꒦NSFW꒦꒷
🜲 Bob is a horny motherfucker 24/7. He's really good at hiding it, but goddamn it doesn't take much to get this man going at all. Cuddling usually always turns into him slamming his hips up into you, biting down on your shoulder just to hear those delicious little noises you make.
🜲 He has good stamina, surprisingly. He'll have you pinned down to the bed, practically cockdrunk from how many times you've came- and he's still going, fast, too. "Just one more round, sugar. I promise I'm almost done" Bob usually lasts anywhere from 3-6 rounds, only to just collapse and nearly fall asleep right on top of you.
🜲 Aftercare with Bob is always some of the sweetest moments; him cradeling you in his arms, usually humming a little tune as he peppers kisses along your face and neck. Any bruises or marks left upon your skin always end up being kissed, Bob uttering a gentle apology under his breath.
🜲 Overall, being in a relationship with this big, lovable cannibal man is wild. But in the best ways possible <3

Tumblr media
With the amount of times you hit the door frame against the overhanging bell of the shop, it’s no surprise that the older woman recognises you.
Usually, she greets her customers brightly, especially those who look nervous and overwhelmed by her overflowing love and care towards the flowers that she prides herself on. At first, it was like that for you too, but the brightness of it all only lasted a few milliseconds at most.
She’s not new to her job; no, she’s not. She’s been doing this for years, having been brought up to it by her mother who has heavily influenced her to decorate all kinds of events with the delicate being, bringing in colours from one corner of the room to the other. But she knew the second you walked in her door without having to take your hat, scarf or sunglasses off, that you’re different from any of the other customers.
She can sense it from far away: a heart that has stopped beating. Amidst the chaotic, busy world, where most of the time a pin cannot be heard even in the library, she can feel the dejected feeling that your heart clenches painfully and that it never begs to differ. She wonders if you’ve always been like this or if you change under a different circumstance. Did her shop remind you of something unpleasant? Was it making you remember a painful memory that you never want to revisit ever again?
But you always kept coming back. If not every day, every second day. And this, without fail.
She wishes she had the courage to ask why the corners of your lips have never raised, why your hands are always limped by your side, swaying tirelessly beside your even tired heart. She wishes she could ask why your eyes are always so puffy and sometimes bloodshot when you bow to her as a greeting whenever you exit. And, she would always wonder the reason behind why you would pick up the same flowers every time. Again, with the number of times you visit, she wonders if you’re giving them away or if you just like to fill your room, and perhaps at this point house, just like her.
She never asks because of the way you held the stem of her flowers between your hands. It’s an interesting way to handle her art: you rest the bottom of the stem on your palm with your fingers curving up to make a little bowl while the fingers of your other hand are curled towards the centre of your palm, the little circle however always big enough that when you step over to the counter, the green stalk bounces around the circumference of the circle as you take your step towards her.
Just like every other day, you tapped your card on the machine and left after mouthing a ‘thank you’ when the affirmatory tick was displayed on the screen, a pair of curious eyes behind your slumped shoulders.
Your feet take you to the place that you go to every day, the navigation of getting there already deeply ingrained in you to even try and suppress. With each step, comes the setting of the city that you used to walk with your beloved boyfriend. So many memories are spent in every turn of the city, with every store being visited once whether it be a cafe or a baby clothing store. There was usually no purpose to your visits but the hand that held yours tightly made you remember that sometimes roaming around with no purpose brings the best moments in life.
The scent of the ramen shop across the street makes you hold your breath for a second, not wanting to trigger the accompanying cilantro scent that your nose remembers. The whirring of the coffee machine that you just passed only makes the inside of your mouth dry, remembering the unhealthy shots of caffeine that your boyfriend would drink without a thought in mind. The uneven paths of the ground play with your balance but this time, Na Jaemin isn’t here to hold on to you or even playfully joke around with you to say that he will ‘never let you fall the same way you already fell for him now’.
God, you just want to experience them again.
The way your friends found their significant others while you mull over the fact that Jaemin has left and will never come back. Not in this life, at least. So many times you would pray that you’ll find someone else but even when another person has shown interest in you and you accepted their offer to take you out on a date, you find yourself only thinking of Jaemin endlessly.
At first, you thought he cursed you. Just like how he would say he would if you ever woke him up from his after-school nap even though it was supposed to be a movie date at the cinemas.
But now you know that you’re just not ready for the change that took away the only person who loves you and that you love back an infinite times more. You’re not ready to have another person holding you, kissing you and whispering sweet nothings to you no matter your mood.
You just want Na Jaemin back.
“Hey…” You arrive at your destination, the glossy stone reflecting the sullen look on your face, hair messy both from the win and simply not caring about readjusting it back; that was supposed to be Jaemin’s thing after all. “How are you doing today?”
Your choice of clothing today is questionable: white shorts when you know that you will be sitting down on the ungrassed Earth. Nevertheless, it didn’t stop you because all you wanted after a tiring day of high school and trailing behind your friends who had their arms joined with the love of their life, is to just talk to Jaemin in a more eye-levelled state.
The conversations are endless and you make sure not to leave the slightest bit of detail from the day. You try your hardest to be positive, knowing well that Jaemin will always like you that way but one of the reasons why you love him is because if you did cry, he would still love and care for you without judgement or doubt. And the realisation that you’ll never see those eyes that you have fallen in love and would get lost in sinks in again.
You sob. Cry. Weep. Bawl.
You could scream. Yell. Shout.
And it’s killing you inside all the same.
“I’m so tired of being so lonely when there’s so many people around me, Nana.” Your chin rests on your folded knees to your chest, arms around your legs but hands still holding the flower the same as before. “I’m so tired of being jealous of my friends that they’re still making happy memories with their other person.” The tears stream down your face even more, gulping down your sorrows and pain.
You relish how the coldness of the wind numbed your cheek; at least you’re feeling something.
“I do believe that the time when everything will be better will come and I do believe that the more I understand my feelings, it will get better eventually,” you sniff and gasp out of air, “but I still wish that I didn’t have to rely on time. I wish that I didn’t have to delve in deep and go through all of this.”
His name engraved on the stone only made it harder for you to see anything, your tears blurring your surroundings and the wind only making you cry harder. You take in a shaky breath and though it was not satisfactory, you’re still thankful that it gave you a little more energy to get lost in the feeling of grief.
“I love you.” You repeat a few more times. “And I hope that someday, whenever I hear your name, only the good memories and things you taught me will replay in my head.”
Your fingers reach over to the curves and lines of his name and you smile remembering how his mother included you in the font and general typography, knowing how much the relationship that you both shared has always been a healthy one for both ends. You continue to run over the engraving more, moving your hand back and forth. You continue to blurt out your last few moments of the day along with your plans for the next twenty-four hours before you would rant to him again.
But like you said, time will eventually come and make it all better and currently, the heaviness in your chest is more bearable now. You jump up to your more stable feet, eyes on the flowers that cover the front side of the base. Slowly, you laid the new one between the ones from before. You stare at how it finds its place so easily despite being only introduced a few seconds ago, and you nod at how it may not be you anytime soon.
As you spare a final glance at the fresh flower on top of the one that you just gifted him yesterday, you note the peace that it’s finally been given, still and no longer twirling and swirling in the circle that you have made for it.
When you walk away, the flower looks at how you drag your feet across the soil, and the yesterday flower whispers, “They're still the same as yesterday.” A message that has continued and passed on from the very first one that you laid in hopes of Jaemin knowing that he’s never forgotten.
“I see.” A petal of yesterday falls. “I’ll take care of them now.”

ੈ˚ʚ welcome to my notion tutorial !!
♡ my notion took me a month to make. It's a bit frustrating sometimes, but i want you to know that it's possible to have some organization in your life.
notion is meant to help you have a more organized life: trackers, goals, diary entries, anything can be turn into a notion page and i'm here to teach you how ♡
ps: sorry for being so long and with some typos and whatnot ♡
Tumblr media
♡˳────── 1st step: the choice of an aesthetic.
it's important to have an idea when you start your notion;
for me, i wanted a place cozy and warm that reminded me of spring.
my main color is green. and with that defined, i started looking for color palettes with the types of green that i liked the most.
(i used this website, but any is good enough. it's just to give you an idea of what you're going to work with.)
i chose an aesthetic more gloomy, academic, and obviously green, (for my main layout, a retro blue-ish layout for my fanfics and a melancholy yellow for my original works) and with that i jumped to step 2.
Tumblr media
♡˳────── 2nd step: hunting images and inspiration.
i can't stress this enough. use keywords to find what you actually need.
if you're a beginner, start with notion inspo, notion [aesthetic] ideas, anything notion related. pick your favs and choose what you like most about each one:
the font, the pictures, the layout, even a small detail like an aesthetic quote design -just make sure you know what you like the most.
once you have a list of what you want, you start searching for images.
keywords i suggest is: [color] aesthetic, [color] cinematography, [color] photography, and, especially, [color] png icon.
i find it really satisfying having pngs on your notion: it gives a better sense of home and they cute, so it's a plus!
(most png aren't transperants on pinterest, so i use this app to make it a real png. now, know that it's not perfect and on dark mode might look funky, but it's worth a shot ig ♡)
now you should be left with a small gallery of photos with the same color scheme and this takes us to step 3!
Tumblr media
♡˳────── 3rd step: dividers save lives.
pick one image to be the base of your notion layout.
it might be for your notion icon, header, or just a random pic laying around your notion. but make sure you only have one.
with that, go to an app that finds colors (i use this one) and pick the 3 most predominant colors! i suggest one darker, one lighter, and one in between.
this works not only as dividers but to enhance any quote or pic that you have. e.g.:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
as you can see, this little dividers (size that i use: 948x8) work better than the ones provided by notion and they're easy to make. just open paint and you're done!
and once you have all the inspo, all the pics and dividers, it's time to create some art ♡
Tumblr media
♡˳────── 4th step: the creation of art.
is time to make pages and more pages.
now, please know that this requires lots of work, frustation and patience. sometimes the website doesn't want to collaborate and it might get a bit annoying. but know that it's totally fine to take breaks and take your time. this is something for you and you only.
you can take all the time you want ♡
ㅤㅤ♡˳────── 4.1 step: page outline.
choose the number of pages !
i suggest you have one homepage with quick links to your other pages:
trackers, school related, hobbies, anything really.
it's your notion after all, you can do anything.
after having the number of pages you can star outlining the pages.
the beginning is always difficult and embaracing, but if you give it a try, i'm sure you will create art!
i suggest, if you do a full page, to use 4 to 6 columns. it might be a bit overwhelming at the start, but i found it easier to work with more columns and less rows. also, it's more compact which makes everything x3254 cuter.
nut you can literally do whatever you want! so here's my organization ♡
my personal organization !

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
be creative with your picture layouts ! ♡
i personally use pinterest (frame template) and clipstudio to make prettier pictures, but i'm sure any photoshop app can give you this effect as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
play with png's and make your notion look more alive ♡
any hanging or 2 png's similar can help with a look cleaner and more organized.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
add spotify playlist (it had to be public, i'm afraid) and youtube videos for more diversity!
table view is a life changer for oranizing trackers, especially books and movies ♡
Tumblr media
let me know if you want a deeper tutorial on how to use any function or if i forgot mentioning something you would like to know more about ♡
i hope this helps you and it's clear. know that i'm here for anything you need and i'm sure you're gonna do amazing things there ♡

Study session essentials
I’ve probably made a post like this before but I’m getting better at studying and so here are my tips on how to have a more effective study sessions. Keep in mind that I am neurodivergent and I can usually do 2 hours of work in 3,5 hours on a good day. I still procrastinate and struggle a lot, but these things help significantly:
Ambience of my current obsession - I love game background noise and ambient music. They keep me focused and entertained without distracting me in anyway. Recently I’ve been having a witcher 3 ambience or “walking in red dead redemption 2″ videos in my headphones
Open-back headphones - I have tinnitus and so noise canceling headphones are not an option. And for a while I didn’t want to wear any headphones until someone got me big open-back ones that don’t seal me away from surrounding noise and absolutely perfect
Putting my phone in a different room - Just put it away. The forest app or putting it out of reach/sight can be good options if you need your phone around but otherwise putting it far is the best option.
Specific study space - For me personally I have to sit at my desk. Studying on my bed or sofa is never as effective as I need
Clean space - Cluttered space means cluttered mind and worse I feel more easily depressed
A toy for my hands - I need to hold something, feel something, look at something. It helps avoid scrolling and it keeps me entertained while my brain does the hard work. It also helps with stimming if I get overwhelmed. I keep around rocks, palm sized plushies, small wooden hearts and animal figurines.
Paper for thoughts - I always have a piece of paper nearby that I scribble thougths, notes and tasks on. This way when I get an idea I just write it down and deal with it during my break. When I remember something I have to do or want to do, think an anxious thought or just need to scribble it goes on the paper.
Candle - I’m a bit afraid of fire and having a candle burning helps me stay in the room because I don’t like leaving it there burning. I like to pick weaker, clean smells like cotton or vanilla. Watching it burn can be very calming too.
Water/juice/iced tea - I always start with a full glass so I don’t have to get up and get water too often
Cup of tea - Besides having a glass of water I always have a warm cup of green or black tea
Snacks - I usually keep an apple or a banana around so I have to leave the room as little as possible. Hunger is usually a good excuse to leave and this is a great way to eliminate it.
Gum - Chewing is very calming for me which usually means I overeat just so I can chew. Sugar-free gum solves this well. I usually need only one since I don’t quite care about the taste as much as the act of chewing. Be careful not to have too many!
Hot water bottle - When I’m stressed and tired my face tenses up a lot and having something warm to put on my face helps a lot. It makes my muscles relax and I often avoid a headache this way.
Medication - I keep my asthma and anxiety meds around. Sometimes studying can really stress me out and it’s good to have those on hand
I hope you find these helpful and have a great day!

Yandere baki characters with a foreigner reader who knows little Japanese❤️❤️❤️🔥
Now this is funny because I had this idea swimming around in my head for a minute
Yandere Baki Head Canons
Foreigner s/o that doesn’t speak the same language
Tumblr media
Biscuit Oliva
Thank goodness he has Google translate because he uses it all the time to talk to you. He really loves when you start to laugh at his attempts to flirt with you. You find it endearing
Even though the two of you don’t speak the same language, Oliva tries his best to overcome the language barrier to be your man. He’s bound and determined to make you his
You’re charmed by him. He’s super funny and witty not to mention he spoils you. A lot.
Oliva buys you everything your heart desires if you so much as look at it. He may not speak your language but he speaks your love language. It wouldn’t be long till he proposes
He’s so happy to have you by his side! You will never be unhappy
Oliva does take the time to learn your language so he can talk to you. You do the same
Hanayama Kaoru
He tries hitting on you because he thinks you’re really attractive but when you (try to) inform him you do not understand him, he is even more attached to you. You’re a foreigner? How exotic
He will hire a translator for him as he continues to try to talk to you. He even starts buying you large bouquets of roses and jewelry. He will pay anything for your attention
He’s so confused on why you keep turning him down. It’s then and there that he learns you’re only in Japan for a short amount of time until you have to go home. He hands you his phone (the translator has to put in your number)
You two don’t text often but he makes it his mission to hear from you a few times a day. You inform him that you’re learning more Japanese. He wants you to call him so he can hear you practice. He starts to fall in love with your voice
He’ll start sending you gifts over seas. You tell him he doesn’t have to but he does. You send him some dried roses from your garden and it’s over for you. He’s starting to plan a life together for the two of you
He has his staff build a garden for you so you’ll feel like you’re in your home country. Anything to make his future spouse happy
A few months go by and you wake up to see your friend, Hanayama, in front of you. You ask him what’s going on and he just smiles at you and proposes. It’s not like you can say no (he will kill your family)
Jack Hanma
He tried flirting with you and he almost fell to his knees when you curled tilted your head to side before pulling out your phone to type. You didn’t understand him? That’s okay. He’ll be patient
He was so charmed that despite you not understanding him, you were not afraid of him. He adores it when you compliment him using the translate app
You two find a way to communicate to each other without words and it’s beautiful. He starts bringing you everywhere he goes and you understand him. You become his cheerleader
He defends you from any harm. He would never have anyone lay a finger on your head. You’re his cute little foreigner and he’d be damned if someone else tried to take you
Orochi Katsumi
He hits on you at the maximum tournament when he saw you leave the crowd. You’re such a pretty, exotic looking thing! He’s talking so fast to you and you just smile at him. That’s when you shyly hand him a little notecard that says, “sorry I don’t speak Japanese.” In Japanese. He thinks it’s cute
He talks a lot and you just smile at him (because you have no idea what he’s talking about). He latches onto you like a tick. He wants to take you everywhere (he’s taking you on dates but you’re very oblivious)
You try to use a translator with him but he talks. So. Fast. You cry sometimes because you get overwhelmed. You just think you two are friends but he believes the two of you are dating
You are so confused when he drops down to one knee one day. How does he know your ring size? He takes your confusion as a yes and he kisses you. He’s so excited to marry you!
It’s takes you a month to learn enough Japanese to finally understand what he is talking about. Turns out he just compliments you all day long which would be cute if he wasn’t always hanging on you in his free time.
He even started dragging you to the dojo and introducing you as his fiancé(e). His friends and family are so nice to you. He’s a great guy… just really clingy
When you tell him you’re supposed to go home in a month, he swoops you away and marries you right away. He even makes sure you get a citizen ship. You’re never going to leave him so don’t even think about it
Kaioh Retsu
He met you on one of his trips to China. He knew you were a foreigner from your mannerisms but you were very very sweet. Like candy!
He also uses a translator (a person) to translate for you. He asks you if you’d like to explore China with him and you say yes. He’s very chivalrous and patient with you
You two begin a whirlwind romance. He takes you on boat across a river (he even does it for the two of you). He places a water Lily behind your ear. You two share smiles and giggles together
Retsu is in love. He doesn’t want your time together to end so you two exchange numbers and addresses. You two become pen pals and promise to meet each other again in China after a year
You write and text to each other almost everyday. You learn Chinese and Retsu learns your language, it’s a beautiful relationship. Retsu slowly becomes more possessive over you over time
When you meet with each other again, he takes you on that same boat trip this time when it’s dark out. Lanterns cover the sky above you two (complimentary of his friends) and he proposes to you
He wants you to stay in China with him

icky thoughts on christmas
sometimes even christmas can't withheld those icky thoughts, and even though we try so hard to fight it- those icky thoughts can make us overthink, have meltdowns and just sour our mood for the entire day.
here are some ways to hopeful help you have a lovely christmas <3.
pressure.
it's easy for us to get wrapped up in pressures of christmas. the pressure to ensure everything is perfect and done right- like those aesthetically pleasing videos that pop up on our fyp on tiktok.
but how do you think they got their routine so perfect? practice, practice, practice. mistakes will happen, it's human nature. so try your best not to let it suck you in that whirlwind of self doubt.
if you're making mistakes that means your human, and you're learning and expericing new ways to do something. just because it's not like everyone elses day, doesn't mean it's not right <3.
gratefullness.
with the cost of living going up, its easy to look at what you get on christmas and feel a little disheartened or embarrsed when compared to friends and family. you may have only got one or two presents- while your friend posts a whole pile on instagram.
that doesn't make your gifts any less valid, okay?
time went out in selecting your gift, and even though it's not a lot- someone still went out of their way to get you something, wrap it up and seal it with a bow.
sometimes it's the silly little gifts too that you treasure for a lifetime <3.
letting go.
if you feel your emotions building or your anxiety rising, try letting it go before it overwhelms you. this could be doing something as simple as typing out a rant on your notes app, or washing away the negativity in the morning shower <3.
sometimes you can't help but feel a little down, and that's okay! it doesn't make you evil for being sad, it just means your healing <3.
comfort.
why not ask for a little comfort from someone? maybe a friend or a family? maybe even ask for a hug or just a simple head pat. sometimes it can feel embrassing asking for help, but it may end up the best thing you do <3.
re-assurance.
i know some people don't have those lovely figures in their lives, so i'll give you some re-assurance pumpkin style.
you are enough. you are not your emotions. so you feel a little down, that's totally okay! feeling a little unsure or low doesn't mean you've ruined christmas honey, it just means that things are a little tough for you right now- but you're fighting through it and staying strong! <3.
we are all so proud of you for making it till the end of the year, and believe me, i know how tough it's been for you. but look, you did it. you did it when others didn't think you could & that just proves how strong and brave you are <3.
so don't let this one day ruin your spirits, take a deep breath & go kick the insecurities butt ~ heheh <3.

Here to once again sing the praises of Duolingo (and go on a long ramble about language learning)
I see a fair bit of criticism of Duo that essentially begins and ends with “Duolingo alone won't make you fluent”, stated as if it's obvious that this point alone is enough to totally condemn the app.
The thing is, “Duolingo alone won't make you fluent” is true*, but also a) pretty obvious to most dedicated language learners and b) not nearly enough to automatically render Duolingo not worth using.
[*It's also worth pointing out that “fluency” isn't really a single coherent concept: people can have radically different fluency levels across, for example, reading and speaking; different levels of proficiency can count as “fluent” in different settings depending on the needs of that setting; and not everyone learning a language is even aiming for “fluency” in the first place - though this also leads into a huge can of worms about the somewhat prevalent idea that fluency is the only worthwhile goal for learners and if you're not aiming to be fluent then it's a waste of time, but that's a discussion for another day.]
The value of Duolingo varies a lot by course, but my experience is that even though Duolingo alone won't “make you fluent”, the bigger, better-developed courses can take you a long way. Yes, obviously not to C2 “basically a native speaker” level, but pretty far. And that's personally where I find the app's real value: giving enough of a grounding in a language that other learning materials - short stories, podcasts, conversation groups, etc - become accessible. Of course Duolingo alone isn't going to make you fluent, but for a lot of learners it's an irreplaceable early tool on their journey towards proficiency.
Early on, when your level of knowledge of a language is zero or near-zero, so much of the struggle of learning is a feeling of total overwhelm as you try to figure out how to learn and find a method you'll stick to. Independent learning can feel like walking blindly through a maze of disparate and sometimes contradictory resources, some on grammar, some on vocab, some that say “start speaking immediately!”, some that say “get to grips with these grammar foundations before even trying to speak!”, some that insist there's no replacement for immersion, some that argue that immersion is like being thrown in the deep end and expecting yourself to swim, and this is where so many people burn themselves out. You can't read short stories or listen to podcasts when you know literally nothing of a language, and if you use a random unstructured assortment of materials then you'll probably end up learning grammar concepts in a very random and disconnected and confusing way. Duolingo bridges that early gap between “zero proficiency” and “some proficiency”, providing a structure that says “just keep doing this and you will watch your ability grow”.
Really, I think it's in precisely what “doing this” means that the disagreement arises. It's a very YMMV app, depending on how each person uses it. Someone using Duolingo for >30 minutes a day, making rapid and intense progress through their course, and seeking out alternative sources to clarify bits of grammar that they're confused by is having such a different experience from someone who does one lesson a day just to keep a streak going. Of course someone doing the latter isn't going to be “made fluent” that way - because there is no language-learning material on earth that is going to produce genuine progress with that little time and attention (and frankly there is no material on earth that is a 100% comprehensive standalone course from beginner to fluent and doesn't require any supplementation). Regardless of which material you're using - Duolingo, Babbel, Rosetta Stone, LanguagePod101, a YouTube series, a university course, a textbook, or any of the many other miscellaneous methods - time and attention is basically what it comes down to, and personally, in the beginner-to-intermediate stages of language learning, I've found Duolingo to have a pretty good ratio of “time and attention” to “language progress”.
Ultimately, Duo can be excellent at holding your hand through those early months of language learning, getting you to a point where you don't use “Duolingo alone”, because you now have enough confidence and grounding to supplement with things like short stories and podcasts and conversation partners - things that you would have found unbelievably daunting at the beginning, but that are now accessible to you thanks to a free app that guides you through a clear learning structure. I think that's great.
Zu lang, ich habe nicht gelesen - vielleicht bin ich noch nicht fließend, aber ich kann viel mehr mit Duo als ohne Duo sprechen :)

🍓Buying a Pacifier!🍓
Autistic/anxious little here with some tips! <3
Plain Pacifiers
🍓I’ve not looked for these specifically, but I’ve seen some on Etsy for around $5-7
Deco Pacifiers (the cool sparkly ones)
🍓The majority of shops can be found on Instagram
🍓Smaller shops often have lower prices, so shop around! If you find a store you like but can’t afford, look at their “partner shops” or stories to see the smaller shops they promote!
🍓Deco Pacis go for anywhere from $10-50 for a standard base (regular shape) but they can get more expensive for specialized bases (like circular ones) or unique add-ons.
🍓For one line of gems, expect to pay $12-20, for a fully covered paci, expect $25-30
🍓Most shops either link to a storefront or do sales over DMs on Instagram. Payment depends on the shop, but most take some form of pay pal/cash app/ven mo.
🍓Some shops won’t respond to DMs from a personal account, but others totally will!
Picking a Paci
Sometimes the info looks overwhelming, but here’s some things I’ve learned!
🍓What’s a reinforced teat?
It means there’s extra thick plastic so the paci doesn’t squish when you suck on it! These are also better for chewers. Personally, I have a small mouth and these are too big for me.
🍓Will it shift my teeth?
Over a long period of time, yes. Using it regularly for extended periods of time can cause your teeth to shift over the years. If you are younger take extra care as you could be more susceptible to this! (But don’t stress, just remember to take breaks <3)
🍓Will it make me regress?
Maybe! For me, pacifiers don’t help me get to that headspace, but if I’m already regressed it helps keep me small and provides some comfort. Still, everyone’s different!
🍓What does it taste like?
Plastic, honestly. It’s a similar mouthfeel to like… a reusable silicone straw.
That’s all the questions I could think of! I’m not an expert by any means but please ask more if you have them!

tutor!gale and in-need-of-tutor!john au repost with the new account🙏
~~
John walks through to the library with his eyebrows pinched together and his eyes trained on the floor. He doesn't need to be tutored. He's still passing! Just not as well as his parents would like him to be.
The library is fairly empty. There's a few groups of students sitting together, either studying or just chatting quietly. A few others sit alone, on their phones or doing homework.
He's quite embarrassed to be here. A damn football player doesn't need tutoring!
John glances down at the email he has open on his phone. 'Gale will be sitting at one of the tables near the librarian's desk with some of your handed in work,' the message from his teacher reads. Begrudgingly, John stalks through the tall book shelves over to the front desk.
Honestly, he's expecting some tall, lanky guy with thick-rimmed glasses. Maybe braces to add to his stereotypical imagination.
When he rounds the corner, his eyes land on the only occupied table in that area. The guy is sitting with his head rested in his hand and looking down at what John can only presume is his past schoolwork.
John sighs through his nose before he walks closer to introduce himself. Only an hour and a half twice a week, he tells himself.
"Hi," John says awkwardly when he arrives at the table.
The guy looks up, and John's heart stops.
Where's the nerdy looking person that would get bullied in a movie? Why is he gorgeous?
He smiles at John. "You must be John. I'm your tutor, Gale Cleven." The guy, Gale, reaches out his hand for John to shake.
His hair falls over his forehead to cover his eyes slightly. God, why does his tutor have to be so damn beautiful? Now he can't skip sessions.
“Take a seat,” Gale says while looking back down at the paper. John probably half-assed it. Quite embarrassing given his current position. “I’ll give you a general idea of what we’ll do once I finish looking over this.”
John sits in the chair across from Gale. He watches his tutor for a moment. The way he holds the corner of the sheet up from the table; why are his hands so… good looking? Is John allowed to think that?
Awkwardly, after Gale glances up at him, John pulls his phone out of his pocket. He tries to look busy for the long two minutes that Gale takes to finish up. The settings app is very interesting.
“Okay, John,” Gale starts. He catches John’s attention immediately, not that he was deep into his phone. “I think that we should start with something that you’re not doing the greatest in, but not your absolute worst. I don’t want to overwhelm you by starting immediately with a class that you struggled in, like…” he pulls a different paper in front of him, “calc-twenty.”
All John can do is nod, even a little dumbly. He understands every word coming out of Gale’s mouth, he just isn’t doing the best with comprehension right now.
“All right! I do tutor other students in all grades, but I still would like to know what days are best for you.” The way Gale’s stare is unwavering and patient makes John nervous for a whole new reason.
John looks down at the gray table, trying to remember his schedule. “Um… I have football practice on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. If you don’t mind anything after six, I guess those days could work too.”
Gale nods at him. “Hm. Where would you prefer our sessions to be? In a public setting, like this library, or something more private?”
Christ, this guy thinks of everything. “I mean, I don’t really care? The library works just fine.”
“Okay. I was just asking because sometimes people are self-conscious about the fact that they need tutoring and don’t particularly enjoy people being able to see, you know?”
That’s a very good reason. John can handle others glancing his way when he’s studying. They might even think that he’s lucky enough to just be hanging out with this gorgeous man. This gorgeous man with a very familiar face, now that John thinks about it.
“Hey, I’ve seen you somewhere. Are you on any teams or in clubs?”
Gale looks him in the eyes. “I’m the student body president.” Well, John feels stupid now.
“Ah, makes sense. I always remember pretty faces.” John clams his mouth shut. He doesn’t mean to blurt that last part. Holy shit.
His tutor opens and closes his mouth before answering, “I tend to remember similar things too, Mister Egan.” He smiles at him, then continues like it was nothing. “I can meet you here in the library around this spot on… Wednesdays at six-thirty and Tuesdays right after school, if that works with you.”
John doesn’t know how he did that. His heart is jack-rabbiting in his chest. Just barely, John manages, “Yeah.”
Gale’s pleasant smile shifts just slightly, into a sly smirk. “I’ll give you my number, that way you can tell me if you can’t make it or need help when you’re studying by yourself.” He pulls his phone out of his hoodie pocket.
A deep breath. “Okay, yeah.”
John leaves the library an hour and twenty-one minutes later with confidence in his academic abilities, and the number of a cute boy in his phone.
“No, Curt, I’m telling you! I was so pissed about having a tutor until I saw him!” John argues his case, which Curt seems to have given up on denying a while ago.
“Yeah, you’ve said it a few times now. This guy’s got pretty privilege and now you’re gay. What’s his name anyway?” Curt asks boredly. He sounds like he’s about to hang up if John says another word of ‘how hot my tutor is!’
“Gale. I didn’t get his last name—”
“Gale? Gale ‘the student body president’ Cleven?” His voice sounds absolutely astonished and amused.
“Well, yeah. He mentioned that he's on the student council,” John mumbles, feeling very much made fun of.
“Jesus, John, he’s practically got a whole fan club. That and he’s never put any of his focus into a relationship. Good luck with this one.” Curt’s unashamedly laughing at John now.
He has the gull to scoff, ready to defend his point again. Gale should have a fan club, he’s smart, kind, considerate, probably funny, and attractive. The whole package, honestly. So much for having a breakdown over finding out he wants to bed a man. Sure, he’s found men attractive, but no man like Gale has entered his life before.
“Please, stop thinking about your boyfriend naked. I’d like to hear you being sane and not completely delusional,” Curt’s voice came from his phone speakers, pulling John from his thoughts.
“I am not—”
John can practically hear Curt’s eye roll. “Whatever you want to tell yourself, then. We all know the truth. Johnny-boy is in love with the student body president! As basically half the student population is! You really never can be the original, can you?”

Meal Planning
Aside from making as much of our food from scratch as possible, meal planning is how I keep our grocery budget low. When done properly it can be extremely helpful, but I know a lot of people find it very overwhelming so I thought I'd share how I meal plan.
The first step is deciding how long you want to plan for. I plan week by week because I love grocery shopping. Growing up my mom always planned for two weeks so she could get groceries on pay day, and I know some people successfully plan for the whole month. However long you choose to plan for, don't think that your meal plan locks you down to eating specific things on specific nights. A meal plan is more like a guide. I use it as a list of meals we want to eat that week, and we can have whichever meal sounds the best that night. I still have some freedom of choice, but I don't have to think hard about what we should have. It eliminates a lot of decision fatigue.
I always try to base my meals off the things that are on sale that week. Most grocery stores (at least in the US) change their sale items on Wednesdays so I make my meal plan and grocery list on Wednesday. You could totally do your shopping then too, but my husband and I like going together on weekends. This can take a little more flexibility, because sometimes the item on my list is sold out because of the sale, but I just do what I need to make it work. If you get your local newspaper they should have an insert with local store's weekly ads, but most also post them on their app/website. Using the app or website can actually make lists easier because you can sometimes add a sale item or deal straight to your in app list and clip coupons straight to your account instead of needing to get the scissors out.
I do shop at Walmart a lot and they don't have weekly deals or coupons, so I also keep a list of meals we love and are cheap/easy to make. I price compare items at my local Kroger and Walmart and usually end up going to both of there's enough items that are cheaper.
Meal planning can be super simple if you want it to be. Create meals based on sale items, choose one of those meals each night when deciding what to have for dinner, save money because you're not constantly going back to the store for random ingredients or getting takeout because you can't decide.
I wanna clarify that when I say sale items I mean ingredients. Produce, cheese, or meats that are one sale. Even if everything is on sale, buying all premade/processed foods will automatically make your groceries cost more. You can get more meals out of a package of chicken breasts, cheese, rice, and some vegetables than you can with frozen meals you just have to heat up (although frozen vegetables are an amazing way to get veggies in for cheaper).

An Americano Please PT. 8
Word count: Just under 1k A/N: I love Jenna so much
Y/N's POV:
Jenna's been asleep for a few hours now, I can tell she needed the rest. Like she asked, I stayed next to her. At one point I tried to scoot away a little but she just subconsciously pulled me closer. Which by the way was adorable. I know we need to talk about what's going on between us, but I'm scared. I don't want this to end.
It's getting to be the evening now, the setting sun dying the sky a bright orange.
My phone lights up with a text:
                                    Emma
Hey Y/N, how's Jenna doing?
                                Hey Emma, Jenna's asleep right
now. Idk when she'll wake up.
Okay, thanks for the heads up.
Please tell her that the producer
cancelled her cello class for today.
I send her a thumbs up emoji, glad that Jenna can get a break today.
It's around then that Jenna starts to move again, and her eyes open.
"Hey there sleepyhead, how was your rest?"
"Restful," she replies sleepily.
"Well that's good."
"Yeah," she says.
"Your cello lesson is cancelled for the day, just so you know."
"What?" she asks, clearly a little upset.
"Yeah, Emma told me to tell you."
"They can't just- they can't cancel it. What if I don't learn the piece in time?" she starts to panic, "I can't not do it! I need to!"
"Jenna, what you need is rest and time off. The world won't end if you miss one lesson," I tell her.
"B-but I can't mess this up! It needs to be perfect," she cries.
"You're more likely to mess up if you aren't rested, though," I point out.
She tries to come up with a response, but can't think of one.
"Hey, it'll be okay," I say softly, wiping the tears from her eyes and taking her hand in mine.
"I know, I just get so scared sometimes," she confesses.
"I get it, it's easy to catastrophize. Especially in situations like these." I squeeze her hand.
"Yeah. Yeah it is."
I wrap an arm around her waist, gently hugging her, "it's gonna be okay."
She brings herself closer to me, practically sitting on my lap. She whispers something inaudible. I wonder what she had to say.
After Jenna's had time to wake up, we move to her living room and kitchen area.
"So, we should probably get you something to eat," I start.
"Yeah, I'm pretty hungry."
"What do you want? Glovo (a Romanian app similar to doordash/uber eats) just gave me a 30% off coupon for any restaurant I want."
"All I want is you," she giggles.
"We'll discuss that after you choose something to eat," I chuckle, "and it has to have protein."
"Fine," she rolls her eyes, quickly scrolling through my phone. We end up deciding on poké bowls.
"Aren't you vegan?" I ask.
"I don't think I can be anymore," she tells me, "I need to get my protein and other nutrients, but I can't do that with what I have."
"Okay, understood." I send off the order, getting the notification that it'll arrive in 40 minutes.
"Now can we talk about... this," she gestures to the two of us.
"Y-yeah. Where do you want to start?"
God, here begins the conversation.
I turn to face her, eye contact may suck, but it's important for these conversations.
"First of all, I want you to know that me not contacting you after the kiss had nothing to do with you," she starts, "I was just really overwhelmed with work."
I sigh, like a weight's been lifted off of me, "well that's a relief. Not that it's good you were overwhelmed, obviously."
She laughs, "Second, you know I like you, and you kissed me, so I think you like me back."
"You thought right," I say, a blush rising in my face.
"Well that's a relief," she mimics me.
"So now that those two things are out of the way," I begin, "where do we go from here?"
"Where do you want us to go?"
I inhale, trying to conjure the words to explain myself, "I can see us in a good relationship, and that's something I'd really like to have."
"I feel the same," she says before I can continue talking, "sorry if I cut you off."
"It's okay. What I need to know, though, is do you have the time for a relationship? I don't want to overwhelm you even more."
Now it's her turn to pause and think.
"I honestly don't know," she answers, "I've never really had this crazy of a schedule. I'd really like to try, though."
"I understand that," I tell her, "I want to try too."
"Thank you for asking me that, it was super considerate of you." she squeezes my hand and quickly kisses my lips.
Jenna's POV:
Wow, I can't even begin to explain how down bad I am for Y/N. I mean, it's hard not to be down bad for someone like her.
"Will you stay over tonight?" I ask her. She nods. Immediately a smile makes its way across my face.
"You're the best, Y/N/N."
"I try," she blushes.
Our food comes a while later. I haven't eaten fish for years, and god having it again upset my stomach. I guess I'm not used to meat yet.
Y/N stays up with me for a few hours, holding my hair back the first time I vomited, and holding me close while I complained of all sorts of nauseous ailments.
"What if I vomit on you?" I ask worriedly.
"Then you'll have to buy me a new shirt," she laughs, rubbing my back.
"Careful what you wish for," I smirk, all sorts of ideas coming into my head.
"Mind out of the gutter, Ortega," she chuckles, kissing my forehead, "not when you could vomit at any minute."
"Fine," I laugh softly, "I'm gonna try to get some sleep now."
"You do that," she smiles.
"Good night Y/N/N," I lean up to kiss her.
"Good night J," she responds.
It doesn't take me long to fall asleep next to her. Whenever I'm with her, I feel like I belong, like I'm meant to be there.
Sleeping is a lot better when you're comfortable.

Miles!1610
Seems like the type of guy to ask to go karaoke with whether it's platonic or romantic, but still mess it up because he thinks he remembers the lyrics, but then asks you to tag in for him since he thinks you probably know the lyrics better than him.
Miles!1610
Seems like the type of guy to be so nervous after your first kiss, not like he's blushing and smiling like a dumbass, I mean shaking, making random noises, barking even, frothinf at the mouth type ash. (and maybe also threw up in his own mouth after it -)
Miles!42
Seems like the type of guy to be stoic in front of everyone, but once he's alone, he's one of the most nerdiest nerd to ever in the nerdverse, or he's just one of those people that become increasingly louder a goofy once he gets used and close to you.
Miles!42
Most people said he's like a baker and type guy or like a cook, so maybe if, like, your his really close friend or significant other he'll go out of his way to make little treats for you throughout the weeks and months. Every once in a while unless you have a really bad sweet tooth. (he also keeps in mind what you like, sweet, salty, bitter, etc.)
Pavitr!50101B
Is like the type of guy to keep random stuff on hand, like bandaids, pads, hairclips, hairties, achohol wipes, etc. Etc. Like I have no idea where he keeps them but he always is like loaded on random stuff he could also have like small snacks - KitKats, Reeces, actual chocolate bars, small bags of goldfish/Cheeze-itz, maybe sometimes fruit. (His auntie cuts it for him <3)
Pavitr!50101B
Is like the type of person to keep his phone STRAPPED, he probably has like 10293864 books filled with memories, (Polaroids, dried flowers, old snack wrappers, maybe song lyrics from your guys favorite song,) He maybe also takes like scenic pictures of his favorite thing of the day, clouds, the sun, the grass, flowers, animals, etc. He also seems like the type of guy to have little notes written in the memory books, like what shop he went to right next to picture, or place where he went that day (he has a little diary,)
Hobie!138
Seems like the type of guy to play his music really loud to catch people's attention (maybe specifically yours) He likes you complaining about the noise just so he can play it a bit louder, just if he even gets the chance to talk to because he has gotten his interest piqued by your outfit, personality, hair, (if you have any -) maybe even the way you walk. Once he seems like it's enough, he'll be happy enough to turn it down
Hobie!138
Seems like the type to give you his guitar pick, whether it's as a friend or significant other, he likes giving you them because you say that they're pretty, and he gives you so many that you can make a necklace out of them, he might even give you some other things of his like jacket, sticker, gems, trinkets, etc. He finds it as his love language (gift giving -)
Gwen!65
Seems like the type of person to show you how to play the drums as a way of love or trust, whether it's a friend or a significant other. They seem like they would also play them out of emotional outbursts (like seen in the beginning of the movie). Might also give you her drumsticks if they are on the on the literal verge of breaking. ( it doesn't matter to them if you fix them or just keep them just like that)
Gwen!65
Seems like the type of person to show you all of their secret hiding spots when them and their dad into agruments and feels like hiding away, or when they just genuinely get overwhelmed from everyone trying to murder the infamous spiderwoman, they like having you around as a way of comfort, (yk since after Peter got absolutely demolished -)

as someone who also hates (!!!) the editing process do you perhaps have any tips to share? 😿
you 🤝 me
im not sure how helpful these tips will be to you, but here's my two cents:
so you finished your first draft. yay you have a draft! a messy, incomplete one? aren't they all! feel free to coast on finishing for at least twenty-four hours. you want to vibe in the still writing, not editing phase. otherwise i (at least) start feeling discouraged and overwhelmed, instead of pleased that at least i have a starting point.
try to think about the goals of the editing process before you even open the doc. for some fic, it can just be a general spelling & grammar & removing repetition & fixing weird errors check (what's a weird error? one time in a first draft a character finished her beer three times in six paragraphs. that's a weird error). for others, you may need to check that the vibes feel right, or the pacing seems appropriate, or the world building is internally consistent. write down your goals in a notes app note or a comment! that way when you go in, you aren't overwhelmed; you know what you're trying to do
as you do a first pass, don't be afraid to leave shit for later. i constantly highlight sentences or paragraphs or half a scene and leave a comment like, "fix somehow" and then move on. often the way to make it better will strike me ten or twenty or fifty pages later. it's better to have momentum than get stuck on one frustrating sentence.
at some point, you have to stop word smithing. not because every sentence is perfect, but because you're going to annoy yourself if you keep trying to figure out why something doesn't flow right. done is better than good, and if you are planning on using a beta, they might be able to pinpoint the issue
don't be afraid to cut things. put them in a comment and keep it to the side if you don't want to lose the words. half the time you don't need them!
you've finished a first pass! this is generally when i call in a beta for anything over 5k. tell them what you're looking for when they read it over! this time, im probably going to ask things about pacing, relationship development, world building, if there are any moments where something comes across weird and not in a way i intended. sometimes, it's just line editing. you'll know what you need.
you've addressed their edits! my last and final process is something my pal ohtemporas suggested: use ctrl f and look for "filler words" - words that make your sentences less direct and immediate. things like "just," "a little," "still," "feels like". it's going to be mortifying. you don't have to cut them all, either!!!! but you'll be amazed what it does to make you really think about what you're trying to convey
at some point, you just gotta be done. this is fic. it will never be perfect. it doesn't have to be! go forth and hit publish
i hope this is at all helpful!!!! and you don't have to do all of it!!!!! at the heart of it, this is fic, and community, and stuff we do for love (and comments). it's nice to check for spelling and grammar errors (or at least i think so!), but anything else is gravy.
