We were able to harvest 11 bush beans and 7 Oregon sugar pea pods so far! I am sooo excited! I hope these stay fresh long enough for me to have a big enough harvest for a meal! I have a cucumber that’s also almost ready, I could probably make a delicious green salad!!

Im just so happy to be able to grow some of my own food despite having no yard of my own, and also to be able to share my passion with others through the community garden and the Grow It Forward NY program ☺️

New work and new podcast alert! A lot of my neon sign illustrations have been done primarily for my own personal projects so I was stoked when I was contacted by a client that wanted something very similar for the cover art for their new podcast. The client and I are both boys of New York's southern tier so I swapped out the desert landscape that I usually use for these illustrations and went with that western NY landscape I know and love. Working on that sunset and landscape definitely made me feel a little homesick but, I know there are ticks galore in that tall grass so I didn't get too excited about running, arms wide open, through a field on my next visit home. The podcast is called 1-900-FISH-BEER and it premieres on Apple podcasts and Spotify this Thursday (5/18) "Weird fishing stories that are rarely about fishing and almost never about beer" Check er out!

My tiny rosemary plant 🪴 I will say, though, that I started this from seed in June and it is quite big if you bear in mind that we’ve had a wonky growing season. I may have to bring her in for the winter, I would feel so bad at this point to let her die. Rosemary is perennial in some zones, but unfortunately winters are a bit too harsh here and it dies off.

Native to Europe, North Africa, and Asia, I found it growing in the vineyard near my house in western New York. It's an annual that enjoys open, disturbed ground. It was apparently used to treat warts, eye problems, and digestive problems. They're being looked at to treat cancer. It's said to have the power to break spells and protect against witches.(ironically I found it on Walpurgisnacht/Beltane) .
