Ok so hear me out, villain (angationist) Jotaro. I can't get this thought out of my head. A Jojo Discord server I'm in had a whole ass debate about scenarios for this during an alternate stone ocean.

And what if his end goal is a mix of Options 1 and 2. To erase any and every Stand from existence, leaving their Users as normal people and ensuring his family never had to suffer their fates. And he is not exempt from this, his plans include getting rid of Star as well. He has no desire to rule or lead, he just wants this nightmare to be done and over

Now, I don’t know too much about EoH(I’m planning on watching a cutscene complication when I finish Jojolion), but my base knowledge is that Someone(maybe Dio?) is trying to fuck with the universe and all the Jojo’s across the timeline end up meeting and working together

So what if this evil Jotaro ends up traveling back in time as well to various point. After all, he can already mess with time and the Universe, why not go back far enough to save his friend’s lives……. but then things get a bit messy and he accidentally starts dragging people from all around the timeline and it becomes a whole mess

and for some added fun, what if they don’t know it’s Jotaro at first. They just think it’s some new evil Stand User trying to stir shit up again and are prepared to deal with him

However……. eventually they notice there’s something different about their enemy. Because again, Jotaro doesn’t want to kill anyone. He just wants them all to be safe and happy and normal and is ready to tear the universe apart to accomplish that

I’d imagine he almost crumbles apart when he sees Jolyne for the first time. She’s grown up to be big and strong and the hole in his heart for her aches at the ferocity she fights him with, but he’d rather her be alive and despise him than dead dead dead the ground just like his home universe

And when his identity and reasons ARE revealed…… ho boy is that going to hit like a bus. At this point the group had probably gotten to know the Good Jotaros(possibly multiple of them because of Time Fuckery), so seeing how far this one had been driven? The brink he’d been shoved to? It’s going to be both terrifying and also the saddest thing they’ve seen. That the man before them lost EVERYTHING, and now was doing everything he could to get it back

I try to avoid long, speculating posts for my Jojolion liveblogging BUT Chapter 58 has my mind racing with ideas and I'm so excited for the Higashikata family drama that I need to get this out of my system. This single chapter has more character intrigue to me than other entire parts of Jojo, that's how much I love this stuff 😭

This post is really, really long and messy and probably more headcanon than actual analysis and will not be very polished. It'll likely age poorly and be very wrong but this is legit some of the most enjoyment and interest this franchise has ever given me. To avoid spamming the tags, I'm shoving a lot of ideas into this single post so I apologize in advance.

Kaato

One thing I've had spoiled about Kaato is that she isn't the main villain but that everyone wanted her to be. So I'm already really excited for her character but I'm not sure what to expect. Given how Jojo is written, I'm expecting there to be more to the child murder. Her intro referenced Jolyne a lot, soooo I'm thinking she was pressured by someone / set-up.

Maybe I'm just falling for her scheme like I did with Damo, but her grief and pain here feels genuine to me. If there is more to the murder, then this is a tragic situation for Kaato - she was separated from her children and has been iced out of her own family. There must be a reason she could never tell them the truth too, maybe she's still in danger?

This series tends to neglect mothers in the narrative so I'm enjoying their focus in Jojolion, plus there's some sort of parallel with Holy being established. I'm trying really hard not to stan her before knowing the full story in case it's absolutely fucked up but god is she iconique. I'll talk about her in passing in other character's sections, there's already A LOT to say and already she is a very high tier character to me.

Josuke and Kei

Poor Josuke man.....I was not expecting the hospital scene and it really got to me 💔 I'm so glad Jojo has been exploring it's protags' internal lives more in later parts, I would say since Jolyne it's felt more introspective and emotional. I'm glad poor Josuke is getting to have his grief explored and shown, it makes the storytelling so much more impactful to me at least. I must ask why Kei wasn't at the hospital, surely she must know of Holy's condition and should be involved too. Have her and Josuke even really spoken since early Jojolion? I need more of Kei as Holy's condition becomes more and more important.

What on Earth does Josuke feel seeing Kaato show up? We don't get an answer in this chapter BUT I am hoping him and Kaato will interact in the future and this will be brought up. There's just a lot of directions to go with this dynamic and I hope we get it explored. He was pretty passive during Kaato's scene, I kept hoping she would point him out and question his presence but fair enough. Also, it was interesting how him and Kei were the two outsiders during this scene - as their mother is dying, the mother of the Higashikata family appears and is clearly involved with Jobin who is also vying for the miracle cure that they need too. Crazy potential here with these characters.

Norisuke

Not to be a Kaato apologist already but I have some things to say about this man. I'm assuming that, if there is a deeper secret to the murder, he's unaware of it, but I really have to ask why Kaato wouldn't tell him?

I get that telling your two youngest kids that their mother was in jail for killing a child would be rough but GODDDDD he couldn't even tell them when they got older or at least keep his story straight? Also, evidently Jobin and Hato never told their siblings about their mother - how did that conversation go? Norisuke had to be the one to enforce that rule and I'm sure it was not an easy process.

Did Norisuke ever talk to his eldest children about their mother leaving? Because with how Hato phrases it, it seems like he brushed it all under the rug. And while it's obviously sad the two young ones never knew about her, imagine what the two eldest kids felt having known her then watching her be dragged away????? He never even showed the little ones a photo of her, that is insane and just next level to me. Was Kaato's crime not widely discussed in the town? How did neither Joshu or Daiya ever hear about it somehow?

This section originally spiraled into a HUGE theory / headcanon / speculation discussion on how the Kaato situation might've led to a divide in how the eldest siblings and youngest siblings were raised, but I'm gonna wait on that thought until I know more and give it it's own post in the future sometime.

Jobin

Jobin was a pure menace this chapter and I fucking loved it. He really let his convicted-murderer mother into his family's house, didn't inform anyone of her release, and shows up as soon as she leaves to casually drop that he orchestrated this whole thing. And then he rocked up like this -

I'm guessing he watched / listened to the whole ordeal from afar and just chose to watch the chaos? I have a lot of thoughts and theories about how Jobin views his younger siblings and this chapter doesn't help lol. Why did he do this? What did he gain from this? Absolute deranged menace behavior lmao

I'm now thinking that Jobin and Norisuke's issues with each other may have originated from Kaato. Jobin is clearly close with mommy dearest and seems to take her side over his dad's. I'm not.......the biggest fan of potentially blaming Kaato for Jobin's issues and I hope this isn't just an 'evil mother turns son against poor father' situation because I am not a fan of that trope.

Kaato briefly mentions that she's helped the family's success so I'm wondering if she is behind Jobin's philosophy of advancing the family's greatness beyond Norisuke's smaller ambitions. You know that other trope of women in patriarchal systems using their cunning and male relatives to exercise great power from the shadows, a la Agrippina and Nero? Yeah.

Anyway, him and Kaato are obvs scheming and I am so fucking keen and ready - Jobin has been a great antagonist so far and I am here for the fucked up mother-son team taking on Norisuke. The Higashikata family drama has hooked me from day one and I really enjoy the focus on their dynamics. Norisuke's final line this chapter is incomplete as he ponders something about Jobin, I love the mystery set-up with what could be going on. I adore how character-driven this story is and how personal the stakes are - I've ALWAYS wished the series explored the Joestar family more in-depth and, while it's obviously different, this part is making me veryyyyy happy with the Higashikatas. A++++ content for me and Jobin remains both compelling and really fucking funny.

Daiya

Not too much to say but this shit is so sad to me. Her entire life, Daiya's father and two eldest siblings never told her about her mother, to the point she seems surprised to even have one? Maybe this is just meant to be a joke about her being dumb / she's more surprised her mother is alive but still. Norisuke couldn't show her a photo, or give her closure or anything? A memento to think of her? Even a story so she could at least know something positive about her own mother who she surely must have wondered about before?!?! Norisuke is on thin fucking ice istg.

I could easily see Daiya latching onto Kaato moving forward and maybe even taking her side over Norisuke. Ofc she loves her dad but she's also a teenager finding out this critical bit of info has been hidden from her her entire life and is clearly so, so excited to have a mum 💔 Imagine how impactful it would be if Kaato managed to win over 2 of their 4 kids, the eldest and the youngest? I don't wanna get into speculating too much though.

Also - it was very sweet to me how Daiya was the one person who tried to approach Kaato and clearly wanted to help her up when Joshu tripped her. Regardless of Kaato's trustworthiness, I just thought that was very sweet of Daiya even if it maybe was naive 🥺

Joshu

Hate him and need to see him die rn. Kaato was completely justified and very based for attacking him and I hope she kills him with her bare hands. Literally the dinner table scene from Hereditary. What the fuck kind of parenting does Norisuke even do? Kaato's here for 5 minutes and puts Joshu in his place, while Norisuke just seems annoyed by him and has nothing to really say about him sexually assaulting Kaato in front of the entire family.

I don't want to imply that a strict mother would entirely fix Joshu's issues but holy shit, at least she would actually do something to discourage his behavior besides sighing and looking embarrassed. Is Joshu the way he is, in part, because Norisuke is a lousy dad who has implicit biases and an acceptance of his son's horrific behavior? Maybe. In an alternate world, could Kaato have whipped him into shape growing up and saved us all? I can dream.

Hato 👑

Fuck!!!!! I love Hato sm and am so so so happy she got a little spotlight this chapter 🥺. Initially this post was just gonna be about her because I'm in my Hato-obsession era so hard rn, but I had too much to say about everyone else. This will be a long section so I saved it for last but I will def return to some of these ideas when I've finished Jojolion.

From a writing standpoint, Hato is so valuable in this chapter. She fulfills a role that really no other character could and its cool to see - Hato is the only character who could realistically convey info to Josuke, and therefore the audience, about Kaato. The parents are too caught up arguing with each other and wouldn't want to tell the whole room about the murder. So who; a) knows about Kaato and her actions and b) has a good enough relationship with Josuke to convey this info to him? Hato. And what's cool is that Josuke knows this.

Josuke is perceptive enough to realize that Hato recognizes this woman and quietly asks her who she is. Despite how personal and emotionally-difficult this moment would've been for Hato, she opens up and tells him (and thus the audience) this family secret.

This next point is probably a bit more fanfic than analysis, but Hato would easily be the closest person to an ally Josuke has in the Higashikatas besides his complicated dynamic with Norisuke. It's really understated and maybe not even intentional, but Josuke and Hato logically should trust each other.

Jobin and Joshu just have an all-out antagonistic relationship with Josuke and have actively clashed with him multiple times. Josuke is on good terms with Daiya and Tsurugi, but not only did both begin by attacking Josuke, but they are both young and cannot always fulfill an equal role to Josuke because of this. Mitsuba and Kaato are currently unknowns, leaving Hato.

Unlike Norisuke, Hato has never antagonized Josuke. She has never gone after someone he cares about and, critically, is uninvolved in her family's shady stuff. She's not in the position to hide vital info from Josuke or scheme against him. All around, Hato seems pretty pleasant honestly and doesn't ever hurt others the way her siblings all seem to do - her eccentricities are harmless and Josuke doesn't judge her the way he judges other characters. In a house full of shady and bombastic people, I can see Josuke really appreciating Hato (Kei should really fulfill this role too).

In the Vitamin C arc, he specifically wants her permission before he kills Damo. Josuke can be ruthless at times, Damo is actively killing the family and it would be very justified for him to just kill the guy BUT he waits for Hato's approval. To me, that really says something - that he respects and likes Hato enough to go out of his way to consult her. Then, Hato and Josuke work together to defeat Damo, both using their stands to overcome Vitamin C. And Josuke's words on Damo being a threat and needing to be defeated helps Hato in her emotional journey - helps her reach the point where she fights back.

They're paired together a lot in this chapter and it's sweet seeing Josuke actually have a nice and healthy bond with someone in this goddamn family 😭 They really play off each other in a compelling and dynamic way, they're open to what the other says and they just generally seem to be on the same wavelength. I just see endless potential in them working together and getting along and maybe becoming like actual siblings and I hope we see more because I can see The Vision and I love them.

Focusing back on Hato, I desperately need to see more of what her childhood was like. What was her and Kaato's relationship? The only thing Kaato says to / about Hato is that she's "as beautiful as ever" and then a little quirk she had as a child. This doesn't give us a lot so I don't have a clear idea of their dynamic outside of wild headcanon. More importantly, Hato knows her mother well enough to anticipate her retaliation against Joshu. This makes me think that maybe Kaato was a stern mother who never took any disrespect and that she potentially had her stand even in Hato's childhood. There's so much potential here but it's too early to know anything.

While I know it likely stems from Araki not really intending for Hato to be a major character, from a Watsonian perspective it amazes me that Hato is as well-adjusted as she seems to be. The amount of disruption she faced as a child, losing her mother and then having her father give conflicting info is insane. Again, how did she rationalize all of this?

And then, worse of all, for her to have to look up her mother's crimes herself and find out about the murder herself - I am begging for a flashback to that event. Did she confront her father? Was Norisuke ever planning on breaking the news to her? Did she ever talk to Jobin about the crime?

I'm not gonna dwell on this too much, but this reveal makes the lack of Jobin + Hato moments so far really stand out. With their father having to raise the young ones and trying to brush everything under the rug, did the 2 eldest siblings ever confide in each other? It doesn't seem like it, their large age gap and Jobin's shadiness around Kaato gives me little hope Hato could find much solidarity with him but I might be wrong. I would love to have a scene of the 2 talking about this or really just interacting in a meaningful way.

This is much more fanfic-y and is my feminist lens coming in, but I can't help wondering if Hato took on a sort of 'motherly' role after Kaato's arrest. I'm not saying Norisuke like demanded she help raise her siblings buuuuuuuut I could see societal expectations and their family's situation causing Hato to take on this role regardless. Jobin was nearly an adult when Kaato left and seemed to go off and start his own family / pursue his own ambitions. He doesn't seem very close with his siblings and, with how much Norisuke has on his plate, I could see some responsibility and expectation falling onto Hato's shoulders. A maid could've helped but it is unfortunately a thing that eldest daughters in a family are burdened with these duties even when older sons are in the family. And with her mother gone and her male relatives set to run the family business, it just feels very likely. Would the eldest daughter even have a chance to run the business?

Hato is close with her younger siblings, she playfully teases Joshu and looks out for Daiya. While she has her own quirks, she is generally much more mature and responsible than most of her family. As the inheritor of the family curse and the business, a lot of focus would've been on Jobin growing up. Norisuke wanted to act like Kaato never existed and Jobin is distant, clearly knowing more. Hato would've been the primary female figure in both Daiya and Joshu's upbringings, she had to lie to them and keep the secret of Kaato for their entire lives. But she's not included in all the other secrets of her family, she's left out of a lot of subplots and the idea of her being involved in the business is never even suggested. Most likely, she'll remain a minor character, but god would I love for all of these intricacies to be explored. There's just sooooooo much juicy potential here, so much family drama and character arcs and social commentary and thematic stuff here and I know I'm overthinking this but idc I love Hato and her unique role in the story and this chapter has really opened my mind to a lot of ideas and possibilities.

Lastly, I just wanna point out Hato's current feelings towards Kaato and how she seems to be distancing herself from her mother. She seems distrusting and literally looks down on here in the panel above - please God give us some interactions between these two, I am so intrigued to see more of what Hato thinks about her. If there is more to the story of Kaato allegedly killing a kid, how will the family react if it comes to light? I hope we see lots more family drama and I am begging for more Hato focus especially, love her so much.

Which character caused more good then harm, and harm then good in Jojo? Personally Kira did more good, seeing that if he was able to kill Jotaro, than Pucci would never go after Jolyne this saving the world, and Anasui caused more harm as he got Foo Fighters and Weather Report killed.

Yes. He is the start of all of this right?

Yeah but it's also George the first, which comes for me to say, they both did more harm than good.

How?

First of all if George Joestar wasn't natively kind to Brando's DIO would've never made it to his manor(manor? Mansion?) And Dio Brando wouldn't have been able to stir s—t up.

At the same time they're more of a fifty-fifty, because they did pretty good things.

Then there's also the SPW foundation, who legit did so much for the Joestars.

But for me personally it would be, ... Jotaro, yes that son of a gun.

Why? Because as far as I can remember even though he stirred up s—t, he was actually trying his best.

Part 3? Did his f-cking best to protect everyone, but he's still a 17yro boy.

Part 4? Was most definitely the most responsible, trying his best to keep everyone alive, and safe when he could've just went home and stayed with his wife and daughter, but no he didn't, he knew he had responsibility at home, but he knew that if he didn't go out to fight, no one else will.

Like I said he could've stayed with his wife, and daughter instead of fighting and possibly, regain unwanted his trauma.

Part 5, he didn't do much here and I think it's a good sign because if he did, not only will his unwanted Trauma return, but he would also take down the Mafia by himself, but still either way, had it not been for Jotaro who sent Koichi, Giorno would've died to that shadow thingy.

Part 6? ... from the very beginning, Pucci planned on attacking Jolyne, just to get to Dio, regardless of the stand power or not, either way this man, decided that,

"NUH-UH, I'm sure she won't be happy to see me, but I sure as hell know that I won't let her stay in a f—king jail cell for something she did not f—king do."

And legit tried breaking her out of jail even if it was costing his life, and he genuinely thought he was gonna die, so he muttered out just how much he loved Jolyne.

Am I being biased? Maybe? Am I tired because I wrote this down at 3:56 am to 4:09 am? Yes.

Are there more characters I can think of? No. Jotaro is the best, and so are the others, but I'm too tired and I have school work so-

Started as a manga reader and is rightfully horrified at Dio's actions (if you know you know).

Giorno is his favorite Jojo.

Joseph's wittiness and Caesar's hotheaded personality reminds him a lot of Ace and Deuce.

Was devastated at S1 Ep 19 where they have that breakup arc and in the next episode where...yeah...

Trey can hear his cry of anguish from down the hall.

He does not tolerate part skipper in a "How can you just skip the basic fundamentals of the story?? Blah blah blah" type a way.

I feel like the only Jojo media he watched is the old Phantom Blood OVA that is now considered a lost media.

Lilia finds him sulking in his room and when he asks him what's wrong, he just replies "Jonathan and Erina deserves happiness" and doesn't say any more than that.

Number one JonaEri shipper. If JonaEri has a million fans, he is one of them. If JonaEri has one fan, he is the one. If JonaEri has zero fans, he's already dead.

Enjoys Dio as a villain.

Jotaro headcannons:

I’ve been writing about this man a lot so I was like, why not share some of my headcannons? :3

I’m also posting this now because you’re gonna see a few of these in the fics I’m writing soon. So, I hope you enjoy my brainworms:

Jotaro loves cooking thanks to Holly. When he was a kid, he always stood beside her in the kitchen when she cooked until she noticed and asked if he wanted to help. Because of this, not only has he learned to be an amazing cook, but doing it (and especially doing it with someone else) gives him nostalgia, reminding him of the good times with his mom.

Despite the fandoms popular headcannon, Jotaro doesn’t actually like dolphins all that much. He has pins of them because they’re gifts from people close to him. After all, Dolphins are the most marketed sea animal, so easiest to find a marine themed gift of.

When Jolyne was younger, Jotaro either called her Jolyne, Jojo, or Sharkie. No in betweens.

Jotaro is super affectionate in private and he actually really craves hugs and physical contact. But not the ‘all over you’ kind of physical contact. So don’t randomly jump him and attack him with kisses everywhere. But, whether it be cuddling on the couch, cuddling in bed, holding hands under the dinner table, or just simply touching knees while sitting together, that’s what makes him happy. When Jotaro is truly relaxed, he’d very much like some physical contact.

Jotaro can’t ride a bicycle. That’s it, that’s the headcannon.

This is not a headcannon but I call Jotaro’s boobs his Joobies. Because he way too buff and might have a bigger chest than me.

Jotaro hates going to the hairdresser. He dislikes people touching him and he dislikes people touching his head most of all. So to have a stranger messing with his hair, digging their fingers into his scalp? He hates it. Therefore he oftentimes puts it off until the last moment, when his hair gets a little too much like it was in 1988 for his tastes.

However, the exact opposite is true for when it comes to the people close to his heart. His s/o? Daughter? Mother? Touch his hair and he will melt. Please run your fingers through it 😩

Jotaro wears reading glasses. This isn’t so much a headcannon as it is me just manifesting it.

Holly used to cut his hair all throughout his childhood. Until he moved out, it was her who cut his hair. So yes, in SDC that is Holly’s work.

Araki knows how to write female characters? I barely see him and Oda in mentions of their female characters in manga discourses when it comes to good female characters.

Hi anon, haha sorry for my lack of energy.

Warning: Long text SA mentions, little spoilers from Jojolion.

Uh that's a good one, honestly both Oda and Araki fall into the same issue about it but when they cook, they cook (or at least is what I have noticed from Oda, since I'm in 305 chapter of One Piece, so I can't tell you how much he fails or gets better).

Let's start with Araki, In general, there are never mentions of Jojo in the tops or compilations of good aspects of some Mangas, better protagonists, best character designs, etc. Because still people refuse to see Jojos in any serious way (okay, Jojo isn't 100% serious, it's bizarre) and others refuse to watch it because of its art style.

That said, Araki fails miserably with female character during part 1-4.

He fails but not in the bad way like only uses their female characters for fanservice, but as useless or from background or encourage male protagonists.

Erina and Lisa Lisa are maybe the exceptions, but again fails, Araki was clear that Erina was Jonathan's love interest and at the same time played with the dynamics, giving Speedwagon the role that in theory should have been Erina since that role was given to the women who were the girlfriends of the protagonist, he already did Gorgeous Irene as a protagonist and fighter, why didn't he gave Erina more role if he wanted to change the roles in his story? Because he wasn't that great at times, same with Lisa Lisa, looks like an attempt to have a strong character with more than a role than just a lover, but fails miserably at the end, giving Joseph all the attention instead of a fight between both Lisa Lisa and Joseph vs Kars, sucks because he gave more of that chance towards a N@zi 💀. I'm not even going to elaborate on part 3 bc it's too obvious.

Part 4, even tho has more female characters, none of them has relevance. Yukako was totally wasted, like her only role was to be a simp for Koichi, she didn't help at all. Reimi just was like a storyteller to give context towards the protagonists rather than useful character, of course even her own trauma is just there, same with Tomoko and Shinobu. Basically all pawns to fulfill or help the male characters.

Now, being a little fair, Araki fucked off the same with male characters, specially in part 4 and 5, but come on, even the Hazamada guy had more screen time than Tomoko and Araki just left her there to be completely in love with Joseph and for what? 😭 That sucks and it's sad.

In part 7 and 8, we actually have more good side characters, but again most of them wasted, literally Jojolion has more female characters than in stone ocean and yet Yasuho is the only one with importance.

Now the fanservice, what can I say? At this point is impossible to escape from it, only Metal alchemist and Attack on titan didn't and is oh so wonderful🥰, also Araki didn't with Jolyne so I'll take that as an apology from what he did to other female characters, lol.

And finally with that issues about SA scenes and mentions, the thing is that with Lucy, Trish or Dragona (probably they aren't a she, tho but let's count them.) seems more like a thing that happens a lot due to the context, specially with Lucy. Like real life issues that Araki has show up with other characters.

My problem is with Yasuho, like okay, she is vulnerable as every other woman, but some of the contexts she wents through are more implied in a funny context and it's something I dislike a lot, like that time Joshu almost rapes her, the touches that Tsurugi gives to her are so icky (I know he is a kid, but that doesn't make it any less creepy, Emporio was also a kid and didn't do that weird shit to Jolyne).

That's my only complain, uh I can see why ppl gets annoyed or disgusted with Lucy or Dragona SA situations and I understand it, but also saying that they have to gain some kind of lesson or something good from it is pathetic as if SA situations are only for that when in real life you only get trauma, not some kind of development. Perhaps, if there should be a Pov about their feelings and fears, how is going through SA and how affects the characters and their mechanisms to protect themselves, but okay I can ask for much in a Shonen manga when fights and powers are more relevant ig:/

As I said when Araki wants, he can cook a good female character like Jolyne, Lucy, Yasuho, Kaato, Trish and Mitsuba. This doesn't mean that other minors female characters are bad, just wasted. The only I mentioned some of them doesn't have great impact but with the role they get they make it work.

Now with Oda, his issue is about the way he draws female character, lots of fanservice and the anime doesn't help. At least Araki gives more different looks on his characters, Oda doesn't, lol. Must of them have the same face as Nami, and again due to the fanservice and how long One piece is, ppl don't take it seriously, another issue is that even though there's incredible powerful females, they're never enough as good as the males, even the only female character that was better than Zoro died 😭. Now that I think about it, Araki hasn't give this powerful stands to his female characters, not as powerful as GER or C-moon type.

Returning with the one piece, as far as I can see Oda actually writes good female characters! Nami and Robin are simply incredible, and as far as I know big mom is also a wonderful and good well character.

For me, Nami and Jolyne are one of the most stronger female characters in the Manga and media, next to Maki from Jujutsu no kaisen and Korra from avatar.

Different kinds of love: JJBA edition.

Synopsis: How they saw you, did they love you? Did they only liked you as a friend? Did they at least noticed?

Warnings: Heart breakdown, Unrequited feelings, character´s death, spoilers

Jolyne Kujo

Wounds heal but scars prevail

- You weren't blind, not yet, every time that you got to California by matters related to the SWF you tried to at least say hi to Jotaro and his little family, that atmosphere was tense and sometimes you thought that was going to affect your son, Rei.

- But no, Rei lived for the days that he could trip with you to California and see his beloved "big sis Jolyne" like he would always call her.

- You called her "Baby JoJo" because the family tradition of everyone getting the same nickname ended with you saying it and having Josuke and Jotaro turn their heads to you, Jolyne was a little kid then, so "Baby JoJo" remained.

- Jolyne was older but she was patient with your gremlin of a son, maybe she inherited that patience from her mother's side, hardly from Jotaro.

- And talking about Jotaro...

"Have you seen him recently?" Jotaro's wife was beautiful, you give her that, but her eyes were swollen, eyes red, a sad expression on her face.

"I haven't seen him since the last month" if she had any tears left in her, she could have spilled them by now.

- You were so gonna punch him in the face.

- The two of you only remain in silence, hearing how Jolyne was telling Rei a story, her japanese was better than the last time.

- She was a kind girl, and you believed that deep down she kept that kindness somewhere.

- Being a police officer helped to know the news, first there were charges, minimal, and most of the time proved that the girl was wrongly accused, you tried to be as unnoticed as possible because you were investigated after being contacted by a person of interest for the PD in Italy.

- Just when you were investigated Jolyne was sent to prison, Jotaro was again in radio silence and Rei ran away from home in the middle of the night, leaving a letter that said "Jotaro-san contacted me, Jolyne-nee needs me"

- You appeared in the prison, with proof that Jolyne was inocent, with your Stand ready to punch Jotaro in the face and to drag Rei back home.

- The moment that you got there it was a mess, Jotaro was half death, Jolyne didn't want the proof because her father's soul was somewhere inside the prison, Rei dressed himself as a girl and got inside with Jolyne before you could stop him.

- It was such a mess.

- And now you were in charge of seeing Jotaro, your jerk ex back in your teenage years, he was almost death, Jolyne and your son were in danger and you didn't give a shit about your work anymore, Josuke would take care of Morioh in your place, he was ready, you believed in him.

"What are you doing here?!" Jolyne didn't know why you would put so much in line for her and her father, in her mind you were some kind of intrusive figure, every time that you could go to her house her mother would cry and ask you for her father but you wouldn't answer, her mother could only contact her father by you.

- Jolyne also kind of disliked Rei, because Rei had black hair and aquamarine eyes, just like her father´s, this only fueled her own conviction, not knowing a thing about Rohan, the father of Rei and Julius, your younger son, who also had green eyes and dark hair.

- Jolyne thought that you and Rei were her father's other family.

- But if that was true why were you there.

"Run away from here!" You thrown Jolyne and Rei out of the way with your Stand, Pucci was coming, fast, and all of you couldn't stand a chance against him.

"Wait, I'm not going to leave you here!" Jolyne screamed, using her Stand to drag you to their side, one that you were totally sure she didn't have before, you were so gonna ask Jotaro about this.

- You got severally injured but Jolyne saved your life.

- Rei activated his stand and got the three of you out, all your group could get to your final point.

- You lost everything, in your final moments you thought of your kids, Rei was bleeding to death by your side, his body floating, you couldn't protect him, Julius was in home with Rohan, your fool of a boyfriend would keep him safe, those two would be fine, you hoped, and you also swore at Rohan in your mind because after all these years he never asked if you wanted to marry him.

- Everything was a blurry picture, something touched your hand, your head was loosen up, you got to see Jotaro next to you, his hand touched yours, he didn't move, he wasn't breathing, no one was, Jolyne was still fighting, someone crying in the horizon.

"JoJo... Baby JoJo..."

- Everything was a blurry picture, and then everything was black.

Johnny Joestar

The right person at the wrong time

- Both of you came from noble families and business associated, both of you born with a golden spoon on the mouth.

- You were engaged to Johnny while kids, just because you were too young to be married off to Nicholas, his older brother.

- Johnny had a lot on his plate, you knew that, you tried to understand him, the little guy that would be scared of his father and searched for warm arms to receive him when everything was just too much, if his brother couldn't be that warm then it would be you if he could get to you when your parents weren't near.

- His hair was smooth, your hand going through it, trying to calm his silent cry, his little hands on your clothes.

- Johnny had you to appease his injured heart, your clothes with tears and mucus, your parents reprimand was near, you knew that, and he compensated you in many ways.

- He would talk, timidly, gripping your hands in his and going with you around the Joestar's state and stables.

- For your parents you didn't have much value, you could only be a bargain coin in some business, you were happy that Johnny was the person that you would marry, you were lucky, you felt in debt with him.

- Year after year you heard people talk, you were so lucky, that's what they said, every year was a step closer to marry the genius Johnny Joestar, you were so lucky to be married off to the important Joestar family.

- People would talk, about Johnny and his scandal with way more beautiful young ladies, how he would call of the engagement at any moment to live his own life, about your family falling in debt.

- The Joestar family left your's in the street and your parents, who lived in riches till then, couldn't stand that kind of life, leaving you alone shortly after to survive by your own hand.

- Something attached to you the moment you saw your parents death inside that alley, they used the little money you had left to die after drinking and eating some expensive things.

- A few years later, you heard of Johnny's attack, but you didn't even try to help him.

- You were a problem to him back in the day, you would also be a problem now, he already had enough on his plate, again.

- Then, you realized, you didn't need him to be happy, to be lucky, Johnny needed you, just to some extent, but there it was.

- You tracked him to the competition, asking to yourself why was he there, and you were already a few days late, but it was no problem, you could catch up to him in a few days.

"Something is burning?" Gyro would ask, it smelled like fire wood near.

"I don't think so?" Johnny was starting to believe that Gyro was going crazy.

"No, I swear, something is burning- Sweet mother of-?!" Gyro knew of Stands, but he didn't have any idea of a burning skeleton mounted in a death horse in flames that was coming at an stupid fast rate to them.

- They thought that some kind of demon or strange Stand user was there to stole their parts of the Corpse.

"Johnny, it's me!" Maybe your distorted voice didn't help, and by the steel ball that almost broke your skull maybe you frightened them.

- He recognized you after your stand was gone, your horse looking like a normal one and you back with your flesh and skin in place.

"How come that you are here?!" You needed to help him, he really was paralyzed, his hands on your arms and your clothes, it took you back to those days.

"I'm here to help you" Johnny had tears on his eyes, your words being like some kind of divine grace after so long.

"Are you friends with the devil?!" And there was a man that you didn't knew and was screaming like a madman.

- Surviving wasn't easy, you couldn't give them the food that you caried along, those were the rules, you couldn't help them much.

"Why are you here then?" The man, Gyro, asked while seeing you sunbathing with your horse, both not needing food thanks to your Stand.

"There are some people that aren't participants" Johnny was sleeping, you were close to him, preventing him from falling of his horse, "leave those to me, they are mostly bad people, I will eat them"

"Ex-fucking-cuse me?"

- Gyro liked you as a person because you were sincerely good to Johnny, but he was also scared of you.

"Johnny, where did you got this one?" Gyro noticed you capturing a man that was about to attack them.

"My ex-fiance" both heard the screams of horror and the the body falling to the ground, your Stand eating that man's soul.

"...Of course, why not?..."

- Johnny almost lost, you almost lost him, but Gyro was there, then he wasn't, you wanted to "eat" Valentine for that, Johnny did something worse to him.

- Johnny could end it all, he decided to live his own life.

"Where are you going?" He asked you, you had dried blood on your face, Gyro's blood, this was too much.

"I can come back when you need me" Johnny tried to talk to you, but you mounted your horse, "I know that you are going to be happy, I can't stay by you, my stand will kill you the moment that you feel 'negative' again!" You were crying, it was strange, Johnny was the cry baby, not you.

- Johnny also cried.

"I don't want to lose you too!" he hugged you, you wanted to return it with fervour, but if you did that, you would stay, your Stand was a danger for him.

"Safe travels, my dear friend"

- Years later, you heard of Johnny's death.

Josuke Higashikata (Gappy)

He knows that you are important, he doesn't know why

- Josuke wanted to hide away from you, as far as possible of your sad face, but he also wanted to stay near you, put his head on your shoulder and sleep forever in your embrace.

- It was so strange.

"Do I know you?" Your voice is familiar in a bizarre way, Josuke is sure that he doesn't know you, not even from a photo or of name.

- Josuke learned not to talk to strange people, Yasuho told him that.

- Not even caring about that his body was already on his own way to your side while you were in a park, crying and drying your tears.

- Your hands were full of scars, and he thought for a second how much that could have hurt at the moment, you had a green pendant with the form of a cat on your neck.

"No, I don't" he was saying that, but his hands were aching to touch you, touch your hands and every scar on them.

- You were crying, all alone, on this abandoned park, Josuke couldn't just left you there, sad.

- Josuke thought that you were strong, after drying your last tear you took a total 360° change in your demeanor.

"Do you need help?" In reality, he did, he needed help, he was lost, not even an idea of were he was, Josuke was sure that Yasuho was going to be mad at him, "You look lost"

"You are the one that looks lost" Josuke could be explosive at times, and then quite dry, he wasn't neither at that moment, he felt strange.

"That's not-" you stopped your words, red eyes with tears again, "I live around here"

- Josuke didn't believe you, he knew, somehow, that you were lying.

- You took Josuke to the police station, he looked young, maybe he was lost and his parents were searching for him, you told him to follow you and he didn't complain.

- As you started walking on your own, you felt something in your hand, it was him, that boy, Josuke's hand was grabbing yours, trying to interlock your fingers with his.

- Your Stand reacted faster than you, throwing him far.

"Oh my god! Young man, are you okay?!" What would people say of you, a marine officer, attacking a kid in the middle of the day?

- Josuke was knocked out for a long time, in which you carried him, it took you back to some memories, of Yoshikage being drunk, you carrying him, your Yoshi with a silly drunk smile on his face, so different from his usual stoic face, while saying that he loved you, ending in your appartment where he would sleep with his head on your shoulder.

- When you got the boy to the police station you handled him to an officer, Josuke opened his eyes and you saw them, his eyes were strange, maybe Yoshi would be interested in such an anormal trait, if he was still with you.

"You need to be more careful, young man"

"..." Josuke couldn't say anything to you, not even a good bye or thank you, you were already on your way.

- Josuke had a sad feeling when he saw your swollen eyes and your hands full of scars, the green cat pendant on your neck shining with the sunlight.

- Yasuho told him again about how dangerous is to talk to someone he didn´t knew but he was lucky that you helped him.

- It was a shame that you didn't even told him your name.

💀💀💀NOOOOO! Okay okay give me a bit I’ll TRY to do it. Just clarifying two things: I did not finish Jojolion so I will not rank it, likewise I did not read Jojolands. I basically love all parts of Jojo so none of this is a “bad” ranking. From best to worst-

Steel Ball Run (this was super hard to choose between this and my #2 I hold these so close I love you Johnny, I love you Gyro, I love you Diego, I love you Funny Valentine, I love you Lucy for being so cool and blowing my previous expectations away).

Diamond is Unbreakable- I love slice of life and murder mysteries so DiU really was everything perfect. Kira is my favorite villain and Josuke top 3 Jojo.

Stone Ocean- (This one and #4 change plenty) Jolyne is again a top 3 Jojo if you hate her GET OUTTA HERE. Jolyne hard carries she’s so everything to me. Pucci is excellent, I want Weather Report, Hermes was fun, and I love my lil Foo Fighters. Emporio a baby 🥺 Dragon’s Dream sucked though but I thought Yo-Yo Ma was alright.

Vento Aureo- I’m prolly gonna get shot for this but I thought Part 5 was fine. Except Bruno, one of the best characters in the entire cast. Fugo also ranks highly for me (but maybe that’s more related to PHF). It’s an interesting setting and maybe it was because of the timeframe and mindset I read it in that it just didn’t vibe as hard with me. Maybe on reread I would just “get” it.

Stardust Crusaders- I love part 3 and I think for many this was the one they were excited for. It’s fun and it’s a roadtrip to Egypt, can’t hate it. I love Hol Horse. Sigh.

Phantom Blood- Nah I ain’t arguing this one argue with the wall instead. I’m not accepting opinions on this, I get it, it was the first, but I think PB gets better when you reread it after the other parts and reflect. JONATHAN MY BELOVED!! PART 1 DIO MY BELOVED!! SPEEDWAGON! ERINA! I love them, and unlike many others (for some reason) I love the beginning and the family drama.

Battle Tendency- I get why it’s beloved, Joseph is hard carrying this entire thing and is hilarious. Just for me, compared to the rest of the series, it’s fine. It does its job. I think the only person I really cared for in part 2 was Wamuu though. It’s definitely bizarre but I think other parts just had something that BT couldn’t provide for me.

Jjba Stone Ocean Ep 1 - 12 Thoughts

The main characters in part 6 have great designs. I think they might be my favourite. I like how much green, blue and gray is used. The core cast also has accents of yellow and orange, to give it a warm twist.

(This is a tangent but one thing I don't get is why does eveyone have their shoes connected with their pants. I guess since they are inmates they wouldn't need to take them off all that much but what about Jotaro? Does he walk in his house with the shoes he used outside? Do Americans do that? I checked and apparently some of them do. I don't understand at all. You are just making more work for yourself.)

The side characters I am a bit more mixed on. They don't hit the spot for me personally. They aren't all that memorable. Except for Gwess maybe.

The animation is worse that vento aureo imo but it has the issue of being overly detailed like it. I've always loved hatching but this just feels like extra workload. I don't understand why DP is so adamant about following the manga as closely as possible. I still like the animation but I've been thinking this for a while.

The Main Cast

Jolyne: I like her. She is like if Joseph wasn't a piece of shit. She is kind but not a pushover. She is suppose to be older than most of the other protags but she acts similarly to them. She can be very reckless sometimes but she doesn't really experience the consequences of that, not yet anyway. I am not saying these to insult her at all. She is the JoJo whi gave the bedt first impression to me. I also find it funny that the moonlight is enough to turn her on. My girl is an artist, a poet even.

The daddy issues are pretty obvious. She tries to catch his attention by commiting crimes. This need for attention shows a bit in her relationship with Romeo also.

Stone Free is 👌🏻👌🏻. My one complaint about her design would be that she doesn't have much interesting going on below the chest. The dotted pattern is cool but it doesn't give an interesting siluette. It's powers are the best part. She is close range like Star Platinum but she can unravel her arm to get range like Sticky Fingers. Stone Free is like if Hierophant was op. It's is faster, has more attacking power, seems more durable also, it allows Jolyne to unravel herself as well. My main issue is that it seems to pull shit out of its ass sometimes with just how much its strings can do.

Ermes: She is the more experienced one as she has been to prison before. She is the angry to Jolyne's cool. Thus she has the most warm colors in her design! Jolyne was always a delinquient but Ermes definitely one ups her in that regard. She is a lot more blunt and less trusting. She is also suppose to be masculine in the way she talks. She still has a feminine design though. I wouldn't really call her butch.

I don't like her stand though. I got a bit used to it but even still. It just looks ugly. I'm not too keen on its powers either. It damaging the copy when it merges hinders it more than it helps most of the time.

F.F. : I didn't imagine they would end up being so goofy. Their first appearance made them seem uninterested in connecting with humans but that couldn't be further from the truth. They are more than happy to talk once you get to know them. They are really excited about everything and I just find that lovely to be honest. I got a lil emotional when Jolyne saved them. Maybe shed a tear or two. Perhaps. I also love their design. The hat (?) is adorable. They contrast with the rest of the gang pretty well. They are my favourite so far :)

Emporio: Emporio is one of those characters that is hard to hate. I can't really find much to say about him yet. He is more of a plot device at this point. There is a lot you could do with him. He has literary grown up inside a prison. He has a lot of potential.

Weather Report: He seems like a nice person. I like his design a lot like the others. Especially the hair-hat. His memories were stolen by Pucci. It makes you think. Why is he in prison in the first place? I read somewhere that him and Pucci are brothers. That would explain some things.

Jotaro: Divorcecore Jotaro is here with his most insane fit yet. I have a lot to say I also have nothing to say. Just look at him. I'm not really surprised Jotaro "I am going to put myself in prison because I am afraid I will hurt my close ones" Kujo would separate himself from his family to protect them. Stands attract other stands, sure, but Jolyne would have been targeted by Dio's servants regardless since she is a Joestar. What if something like that happened while Jotaro was away? She got into prison before she got a stand and she would have gotten killed there. I don't really know what to think of Jotaro at this point. I remember when people were talking about this a few years ago. Almost all my mutuals are into jojo for some reason so I saw Stone Ocean in my dash a lot.

In the eye catches there was some text under the development potential of Star Platinum but I didn't wanna bother translating it.

Pucci: Imagine Dio being your best friend in 40 years of being on this Earth. I find hit hard to think Dio having a connection with anyone let alone a 16 year old who he spent a year with max. He says he met him in 1988, Sdc took place that year also I think.

Pucci saying Dio has a century worth of wisdom is pretty funny cuz while he is that old, he slept thru most of that so he is still pretty young.

Also, I just think it's silly that Pucci's entire plan relies on Jotaro still remembering the contents of a book he read more than 20 years ago at this point. Not to mention the few pages he read just happening to be the ones Pucci wants. That makes Pucci seem like a moron but it is funny so I'll give it pass.

Star Swap, thinking about how long it'd take before people found out.

Jotaro in Josuke's place is definitely the fastest to be found out. He does not know how to do the hair. He doesn't even know TO do the hair. Tomoko's clued into something being wrong FUCKING IMMEDIATELY and, especially given how Jotaro's going to respond to her, she's not going to let it rest till she figures it out. And then older Jotaro arrives and uhhhh yeah he's going to recognize the familiar Angst

Josuke in Jotaro's place, honestly unsure. Holly's observant, and would notice right away, but I don't know how much she'd push it, if at all, and then she gets sick, and Joseph, while super observant, hasn't seen Jotaro in a while to be able to have a baseline. I think Josuke would want to tell people, but there's so much going on that nobody can really focus on figuring it out or deciding who/how to tell.

Nobody knew Giorno well enough to tell prior to part 5. It's all down to if Joseph chooses to tell anyone. And honestly... He might. Trish especially, he might as a way of sharing his own experiences to let her know she's not alone in feeling lost and homesick and in over her head.

Giorno's going to try and hide it. Erina and Speedwagon will notice something's up, but not push enough to figure it out. And Giorno's a good actor. Maybe he'll tell Suzie or Caesar some of it eventually, but... It'd be hard for him.

Jolyne, uh. Dio figures out That's Not Jonathan immediately but it's shortly before he used the mask so he's not seen any supernatural shit yet and is supremely confused. He wouldn't know how it happened or how to respond at ALL. And George might take it as a rebellious phase or some shit, given that he's distracted by being poisoned. I could see her telling Erina once she shows up though.

Jonathan has a month at best before he's forced to tell someone. He does not know how to deal with periods in Jolyne's body. He was raised by a single father in the late 1800s. He's going to have to ask Hermes or someone for help, and probably explain why he doesn't know, and thus where/when he's from, in the process. And honestly he probably wanted to tell someone early on, but was taking a minute to settle in and try not to upset his presumed descendant's life and then he got framed and the chaos and he didn't know who to trust at first- he's glad to tell someone.

YESSSSSSSSS

Out of all the Jojo’s, Jotaro is the most fucked about keeping this secret. The morning he wakes up it doesn’t matter what he does, Tomoko is going to be on him in an instant and he has no chance whatsoever at keeping the body swap a secret. Honestly Tomoko might connect the pieces pretty quick and could even confront him in a “who are you and what have you done with my son” way within a day or two of “Josuke” acting off. On the plus side Josuke doesn’t seem to have had….. really any friends prior to Diamond so that’ll make things a bit easier at least.

Thing are DEFINITELY going to be awkward between Tomoko and Jotaro tho. He’ll explain the situation as best he can, but there isn’t much he can offer beyond theories and giving a more in depth explanation of his admittedly limited knowledge about Stands. Both are struggling to figure out What The Fuck Do We Do, but they’d probably end up working together. Admittedly things are still tense, and it only gets worse when 4taro shows up, doubly so when he learns this kid is apparently his grandfather’s bastard son.

(also I can definitely see Jotaro calling Holly at some point. He doesn’t say anything, but just hearing her voice on the other end of the receiver, hearing proof that she was still alive…… it took a weight off his shoulders)

And your thoughts are basically the same as mine when it comes to Josuke. Holly would definitely realize something was wrong, but she wouldn’t have time to tell anybody because of the Stand Sickness. There would also be an added layer to Josuke’s panic because He Can’t Fix This, and seeing her illness from a Stand would ironically remind him of his own sickness when he was a boy. At least the Crusaders have a healer now?

Joseph…… that’s a tricky one. Nobody knows him so they’d have no reason to even suspect anything. Telling Trish would be an interesting idea, but there is also the chance that he just. Never does. Parts of his story yes, mentioning the Pillarmen and his experiences possibly, implying time travel MAYBE, but he might not mention the “I might be possessing a 15 year old’s body”

For Giorno, while he’d definitely be able to get away with it on Air Supplena, Speedwagon and Erina are going to notice immediately. They might be hesitant to push in the beginning because Joseph growing that withdrawn could be seen as something having happened emotionally, but I think eventually they’d put together the pieces that this isn’t their grandson

Jolyne in Jonathan’s body……. That’s going to be pure fucking gold. She does not take ANY of Dio’s shit. Also, I really like the idea of her telling Erina. After all…… she isn’t the man Erina loves, she’s merely inhabiting his body. It would feel wrong to take advantage of her in such a way, especially because of how genuine those feelings seem to be. And Dio figuring it out himself is just 🤌

And Jonathan. Poor, poor Jonathan. Out of everyone he’s going to have easily the hardest time adjusting. And what if the thing with Hermes is just his absolute breaking point. He’s tired and confused and now he’s bleeding and everything hurts and he just wants to go home, so when Hermes asks hims what’s wrong everything just comes crashing down

And Hermes….. was not at all expecting this. Sure ‘Jolyne’ was a little weird, but she’d just chalked that up to that just being how she was, that that was just her personality. But this? Forceful time travel into a body that didn’t belong to them??? Yeah that wasn’t ANYWHERE on the list

Ooooh a JJBA question

Hard to say who is my favorite Joestar because it changes. When I started seriously getting into JJBA it was Joseph, then it was Johnny (he was a bastard but his story hit me hard), right now it's Jolyne (so much I dished out money to get the Stone Ocean Tuk Ang shop embroidered hoodie that's only sold in Japan). I love her resilience, her will, character development, relationships, her willingness to sacrifice herself for her loved ones, and to me she's the Joestar I vibe with the most. Her story is sad and her ending is so bittersweet. She

I've also been reading a lot of Gothic Horror and I've found myself analyzing the hell out of Phantom Blood so I've been having so much love for Jonathan (whom I also started appreciating more after reading the PB manga and he's pretty underrated IMO), and find myself wishing there was a Phantom Blood remake that had the same care to it placed that the latter JJBA parts were given.

Josuke, Giorno, Jotaro, and Gappy are OK too but I haven't felt that strongly for them as I have with Jolyne, Joseph, Johnny, and Jonathan. I also think Jotaro makes a better supporting/mentor character than MC or maybe I'm saying this because I loved both part 4 and Part 6 adult Jotaros more than I did the teenage MC cool Jotaro with a chip on his shoulder.

Also there's going to be a PB musical so there's that to look forward to.

As for villains, it's Dio. He might not be the deepest or most relatable character, but to me he's the most fun and entertaining, and as much as I like heroic characters to be more human, I do love when villains are straight up unhinged fun assholes. That said I am not a Dio apologist and I think he's irredeemable but I love him that way. The only stuff he didn't deserve is the abuse he got when he was a kid, specifically the abuse he got from his shit father (I totally get why he poisoned and murdered him too). But everything that happened to him as a result of him being a dick, he got what was coming to him.

I'm also a sucker for vampires and Dio is fun to draw

(but also frustrating because I can never get his hair right in a satisfying way, I don't know if I'll redo it here).

His relationship with Jonathan is also the most interesting protag and villain relationship in the whole series and I guess because of how personal it is. Yeah it's toxic AF relationship built on hate due to Dio being the worst person. Yet they also had a soft spot for each other because of those seven years that they spent together (and it's more evident in the manga when you piece some scenes together) and I think it's so tragic how it ends. Mostly because Jonathan didn't deserve his fate (and then you see Johnny's fate, it's even more messed up but that requires it's own discussion) and what happens after his death is horrifying.

Other than Dio I liked Pucci and his whole journey in Stone Ocean. How the whole thing that went down with Perla and Weather affected him and the fact that Pucci, in contrast to Dio, is a very righteous person who thinks his path is the correct one and ultimately thinks he's helping everyone in the long run. All because of his own personal trauma. His relationship with Dio is also interesting because of how different they are and I also wish we could've seen it from Dio's POV (because I really think Dio was sincere about their friendship as much as he could be with anyone but Dio is also pretty self-serving and seductive and he needed a friend in order for his Heaven Plan to work so I can't help but think there was some grooming on Dio's part), the power dynamics in the relationship certainly weren't equal that's for sure.

I also think Pucci's Heaven Plan ended up being entirely his own thing rather than what Dio wanted. But that's just me. Pucci wanted people to know their fate so they could make peace with it and that stems from his trauma with Perla. I think Dio more than anything wanted to control fate so it would be in his favor.

Man I really loved Stone Ocean, It might be my favorite part with Steel Ball Run a close second (because I love Johnny, Gyro, Hot Pants, and Diego).

I am also keeping up with Part 9, it's interesting so far.
