Alex was suddenly shy, knowing that the gift wasn't enough- wasn't nearly as enough as he'd given her so much but she also knew how obsessed he was with the dragon eggs and how rare they were. "It's the extra large one- they use it for orstrages in zoos." She pulled out the book she'd been reading on how to take care of it too. How to check it and when to turn the egg so the embryo didn't stick to the inside of the shell. "Its weird...I know."

"Not weird, what a wise gift, Alex!"

He examined the incubator admiringly. "And a large one too, capable of housing... ostriches you say? Is that a sort of animal? Zoo? Anyways, it's simply wonderful for my future dragon hatchling. I can begin my research in earnest now."

Taking Alex's hands again, he met her eyes sincerely. "Do not doubt how truly grateful I am, my darling. An incubator is a tool that will aid my studies on dragons for years to come. And that you took the time to consider my interests, well...it shows the depth of your care for me. Thank you love."

Some Yule ideas for those limited in how they can celebrate

(broom closet, lack of materials, disability, whatever. all these require minimal effort and materials)

Drink herbal tea, or mix things like cinnamon into your tea/coffee

Listen to music about Yule or instrumental music with bells

Wear colors/makeup matching Yule colors (red, green, and gold)

Pray/meditate with Yule/Yule correspondences in mind

Say/think/write Yule chants

Make plans for how you'll enjoy the return of the sun (whether that's planting a garden or feeling it's warmth on your skin or just seeing it's brightness in your window)

Think about what the return of the sun means to you

Do some self reflection or shadow work (if you're in the mindset where it'd be healthy for you)

Work with deities that correspond with Yule

If you cannot use candles/fire, make sure your house is brightly lit in other ways (if you have LED lights it'd be cool to light them in Yule colors!)

And lastly, wish other pagans a blessed Yule.

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐘𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐝𝐞!

I hope everyone is content, with their loved ones and safe.

My heart goes out to all those who cannot have that. I haven't spoken a lot about politics on my blog but I want everyone to know that I am Pro-Palestine, that Black Lives Matter and everyone should have a roof over their head and food on the table. There are many problems in the world, pointedly in Congo and Yemen.

I want to take the time to keep these people in my thoughts and hopefully bring awareness.

I'm also sending love to those who don't feel comfortable with their family right now. Who are in their rooms because it's all too much. I want you to know that you've got this. It will get better.
