ᴘʀᴀɴᴋ #3 "ꜱᴇɴᴅɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇᴍ ɴᴜᴅᴇꜱ" !!!
Tumblr media
CW: nudes¡ suggestive language¡ mentions of sex¡
Pairing: (all post timeskip) suna, atsumu, osamu, ginjima x gn!reader
Network: @tokyometronetwork
Tumblr media
ꜱᴜɴᴀ ʀɪɴᴛᴀʀᴏ
Guaranteed returns. All favors are returned x1000.
Send him a partial nude and you will get a dick pic within 3 milliseconds. Send him a thirst trap and an audio capture of him moaning your name is sent back.
Suna prides himself on his ability to collect quality material, so it's no surprise he's so very enthusiastic about this nudes exchange business.
Has pretty lights set up around his room just for the sake of clicking aesthetic dick pics.
There's even a special folder on his desktop dedicated to you. All these frisky pics and videos are stored there. He even names it his 'personal pornhub'
Comes home with hundreds of nasty fantasies filled in his head. Trust me he's created a very nice simulation of all the things he'd love to do to you.
Tumblr media
ᴍɪʏᴀ ᴀᴛꜱᴜᴍᴜ
You just know this motherfucker is choking on his spit every time you send a pic that's even closely revealing.
This one time you send him a suggestive (only to dirty minded people) picture of your newly done nails holding your glass just for fun and next day videos of Miya Atsumu, star athlete clumsily fumbling with his phone are trending on the internet.
I'm really really sorry for this one but he totally responds in Adam Levine style😭😭😭 he's embarrassing you know it but you love him and that shitty replying style is something you and him have to work on.
He comes home all needy and whiny after that. Needs all the love and affection— much much more than usual.
He might not admit it but every time his phone pings and it's a message from you he pulls in a deep breath to stabilize his heart and be ready.
Atsumu is too much of an innocent boy for that cocky front he puts up.
Tumblr media
ᴍɪʏᴀ ᴏꜱᴀᴍᴜ
Now this guy is a totally different story. Unlike his brother, although equally cocky, he has the guts to back it up.
You once sent him a nude while on a double dinner date just to see his reaction and this mf looked at the picture and smirked, licking his lip. Never tell him how flustering you found it you'd just be digging your own grave.
He's an observant guy, he knows all your preferences– from the food to the positions, so it's not a huge surprise to you when he sends you detailed, nasty, toe-curling replies.
Lowkey think he could run his own pornblog and we would still follow him like dick hungry bitches.
Sometimes, he would send you unprompted random messages while you are at work. Like sirrrr, you get it. He knows you very well but it's none of his business to ensure you're melting in your chair at work thinking about him.
But that's not all. The real nastiness starts when you return home, or his hotel. This man is filthy. And he's gonna pull you down with him whether you like it or not.
Tumblr media
ʜɪᴛᴏꜱʜɪ ɢɪɴᴊɪᴍᴀ
You were sorely mistaken if you thought he was an innocent baby boy who had to be introduced to the art of sending nudes gently💀💀💀
He is the devil. This man laughs at you and calls you weak when you send him a partial nude.
The insult digs deeper when he sends you a beautiful, Pinterest worthy image of his pants pulled down just enough to show his perfect v-line. The sunlight kissing his pretty skin doesn't help either.
This ensues a nudes war. Who can click the better nude.
You both give each other occasional runs for your money. But it's usually him powning you most of the time. This guy has some serious aesthetics.
But the funny thing is, although you both forget the original intention of sending nudes, you both develop a cute and adorable sort of bonding activity out of it.
Tumblr media
Lost the taglist so i won't tag anybody and this isn't gonna be a regular writing phase anyways so🙏🙏🙏 also drop some holy water in the comments and reblogs plej i need it I've been thinking very nasty thoughts abt a certain white haired sensei from naruto

I recently read an article in which Quentin Tarantino stated that fewer movie stars exist as a result of "Marvel movies in Hollywood." I think Jennifer Aniston made a similar argument before saying that there are no longer any movie stars. I'm not sure what that means. I can think of a lot of movie stars right now, such as Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet, and Zoey Deutch etc. what do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and Quentin's comments.
QuillBot's
Months ago, when you sent me this ask, anon, I wrote out a really long reply and as soon as I hit post, my laptop crashed and ate the answer, and I was so annoyed at myself for not saving my reply, that I couldn't bring myself to try and re-write an answer. I'm really sorry for that, especially because I think this is such an interesting ask (or well, two asks, because I think the death of the movie star and the impact Marvel's had on the broader concept of a movie star, are kinda two different things).
I've been thinking about it a bit again recently though, particularly as the Oscar race gears up, and Jacob Elordi and Charles Melton''s respective stars are rising in an industry currently desperate to find the new young Hollywood male 'talent', and I've been thinking about it again because honestly?
I agree with Jennifer Aniston, I think the movie star is dead.
We are a long, long way from Golden Age Hollywood where actors like Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe could captivate a public imagination in a way that translated to big box office effect, after all. Hell, we're even out of New Hollywood, an era dominated by names like Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, and Jane Fonda, and the Blockbuster era with Tom Cruise, Sylvester Stallone and Harrison Ford.
My original reply went into a lot of the different reasoning as to why this is (like with many things, I don't think there's any one reason for it), in particular how the advent of streaming has changed our relationship with films and TV shows, how the saturation of the market has diluted the staying power of celebrities, how social media and the perceived accessibility of celebrities removes personal mystique which in turn removes intrigue and increases a sense of entitlement, and the fact that so many people having stopped going to the cinema means that the experiential element of seeing a film in a setting larger than life has been diminished.
I think call out culture plays a role too, with any actor on the rise being torn down by tweets they made eight, nine or ten years ago impacting how their star rises, I think the dismantling of the studio system (which is a good thing!) also harmed actors in the long run as studios stopped investing the same resources into making and training stars (they used to be able to sing, dance and act! Now some can barely even act!), and I think, of course, the rise of prestige TV changed the industry substantially (after all, movie stars were movie stars - they traditionally did not, and would not, do TV, which created a clear class structure in terms of screen-based storytelling).
And yeah, I think the language shift from film and TV to content has done irrepairable damage to the artistry of filmmaking and the consideration of a movie star as an actor at the top of their field instead of an actor with the most Insta followers or YouTube subscribers (after all, if everything's content, isn't it the same thing? [no lol]).
Which I guess is kind of where Quentin Tarantino's argument comes in, right? What he's saying is that Marvel's made it so that the IP - the content itself - is the star, not the actor, and I'd say he's probably right with that.
Think of it this way - back in the New Hollywood/Blockbuster era, Harrison Ford was the movie star - he was leading new franchises left-right-and-centre between Star Wars and Indiana Jones, sci fi epics like Blade Runner, leading action thrillers like Patriot Games, The Fugitive and Clear and Present Danger and getting nominated for Oscars for Witness.
He was a movie star in every sense of the word because you could hinge a film - one with a new concept, not just remakes or sequels - on him and be virtually guaranteed a success. He was what sold the tickets, the director just hopefully had to make something good enough people would leave the cinema glad they saw.
Tarantino's argument is the Marvel model - - hell, even the new Star Wars properties, turned the franchise into the star, for better or worse, which means original films can't compete because nobody knows the IP. Back when Harrison Ford was at the top of his game, his name was what helped original films including smaller, standalone works like Witness find an audience, but the studios have changed that. Capitalism has changed that.
Properties with existing audiences and deep pockets for merch were prioritised, only now those franchises are faltering and you've got a generation trained that 'cinematic events' are reserved for blockbusters in established universes, instead of taking a risk on a new film because you know you love an actor who's in it.
Do I think we could go back?
Maybe, but probably not.
I think the place we are now in the history of cinema / TV / 'content' means you can't make a movie star anymore because I think the industry is simply so different that no actor can break through in the same way that even Leonardo DiCaprio could 30 years ago. That industry doesn't exist anymore, actors aren't guaranteed draws (Bones and All proved that for Timothee Chalamet, and Wonka I think could go a similar way), or they have to heavily rely on other industries to become household names which I think dilutes them as a pure 'movie star' (Zendaya's a great example of this - I like her a lot, but how many movies has she even been in? They built her career up in peripheral industries long before they tried to sell her as a movie star, and frankly, I'd question her even as a leading actress yet given she's typically only either been in ensemble casts or clear supporting).
It's a whole new world, and yeah, I think the movie star is dead.

Cody Day 2024
So APPARENTLY it's Cody day and I just missed that, but if you think I'm going to skip out on an opportunity to write about one of my favorite little clone guys, you'd be SORELY mistaken.
I'd love to draw him too but there's like 6 hours left in the day and I have other things to do, like eat and shower and homework.
ANYWAY, those of you who know me know that I'm the OC lady and for that reason, I'm going to write a little drabbly thing about Cody and my OC, who is like an adoptive mom to him and many other clones (see this post if you want to learn more about her). If you aren't interested in ocs, feel free to skip, the drabbly thing will be under the cut. Oh and also, the clones call her "mum" because Temuera is from New Zealand and that's how they refer to their moms (or, that's at least how my old friend referred to her New Zealander mom). Also, no idea if it's ooc, it's been a while since I watched anything with Cody in it.
Anyway, happy Cody day to all, now enjoy the first bit of Star Wars content I've written in months. Btw @langsnscraps since you've been asking for SW content for a while.
It's late in the night cycle. So late that The Negotiator is practically silent. His general and most of his brothers are blissfully asleep in their barracks, but Cody can't bring himself to do the same. He can't sleep yet. There's a cup of caf nearby, though he can't remember when he got it or if he finished its contents. Doesn't matter. He's too focused on the work in front of him, ignoring the insistent tug from his eyelids. When he hears something behind him—the door opening followed by footsteps, he quickly realizes—his hand jumps to his blaster and he whips around, ready to draw it if he needs to. But as quickly as his fight reaction was triggered, it's soothed. Onteile Tiax is standing a few feet away, a calm expression on her face even as she holds up her hands. He exhales, hand falling back to his side.
"Sorry, mum," he mutters. She lowers her hands as well, folding them in front of her as she tilts her head.
"It's alright, Cody. I should know better than to creep up behind you," she says. He frowns slightly at her.
"I could've hurt you." The calm expression shifts to one of soft amusement, and she raises her eyebrow slightly. Alright, that's probably not true. He sighs and turns away from her, looking back at the holotable in front of him. He can hear her moving again, and she eventually appears at his side.
"Can you not sleep, Cody?" she asks, voice gentle and concerned. He shakes his head and looks down at his data pad.
"I just have a few things I need to do," he mutters. Her gaze weighs on him, but he resolutely keeps his eyes on the information in front of him.
"I worry for you," she says suddenly. He lifts his head to look at her, met with a look of apprehension. She lifts a hand, gently cupping his face. "You put far too much on yourself. I just want to make sure you're alright." He leans into the affectionate touch, just a bit, and offers what he hopes is a comforting smile.
"I'm fine, mum," he says. Bright eyes inspect him carefully, and he feels her stroke her thumb across his cheek for a moment before her hand falls away again.
"Would you like some help?" He considers denying her offer, telling her that she should go back to bed, but he admits that company sounds nice. So, he nods, and she smiles softly before picking up a data pad of her own.
~~
When the work is done—or, at least acceptably lessened—she finally convinces him to go to bed. He walks at her side through the empty halls, The Negotiator humming around them. He takes a moment to look at her as they walk. She's not much taller than Cody himself, but the way that she carries herself makes her seem towering and important. She doesn't hold any official military rank, but she looks like she holds a great deal of authority. People respect her most everywhere she goes. Walking at her side always makes him try to stand just a bit straighter, hold himself with more confidence. A small, unspoken of part of him wants to make her proud. They stop outside of her room—because Cody is a gentleman and promised to walk her to her door—and she turns toward him.
"Promise me you'll rest, Cody," she says. He smiles slightly at her.
"I'll do my best, mum." She smiles back at him.
"That's all I ask." She reaches out, and he allows her to tilt his head down slightly so that she can press a warm kiss to his forehead. "I'll see you in a few hours, Cody." When she releases him, he looks her in the eye again, nodding.
"Sleep well, mum." She nods as well, and he steps around her to walk to his own room.
"I love you, Cody." He pauses, looking back at her. "I just wanted to remind you." His chest is filled with warmth at the affectionate look on her face, and he smiles at her again.
"I love you too, mum."

The Hardships Of Being A Mandalorian Jedi: Part One - Resol'nare
Hello, it's me.
With another post about Mandalorians (and Jedi).
Sorry, couldn't help it XD
Anywho, back to what needs to be said about this post: I'm breaking down how Jedi, if they wanted to be Mando'ade or are mando'ade that were adopted into the Jedi Order (of which then consider something to think about when making ocs like that), would have a hard time with the rules that were put on the concept of 'mandalorian', both in the Six Actions (Resol'nare) from Legends and with the Way Of The Mandalore from (Disney) Canon.
This meta will be divided into 2 parts, the first part is this one and will focus on the Resol'nare (fair warning though, I Will use most of the Legends version of Mandalorian when talking about the Resol'nare, so no fanon) while the second part, found Here, will focus on Canon, specifically on The Way Of The Mandalore.
This part was a lot more certain - in terms of what the jedi would be able to do and what they can't do - than the second part, but only for a bit, honestly.
That said, let's start, shall we?
Resol'nare - Six Actions
What constituted the Six Actions, you may ask? Well, following "The Mandalorians: People and Culture" from Star Wars Insider 86, it's the following six rules:
This is the 'rules' to be a mandalorian that are followed by most mando fans, especially the older ones.
The Resol'nare was - outside of universe - created by Karen Traviss for her version of Mandalorians - of which are still very popular in the fandom, even though a good proportion of the said fans ignore a good part (for valid reason) of what she created.
Wearing Armour
Speaking Mando'a
Raising their child(ren) as Mandalorians
Defending themselves and their families
Contributing to the clan's welfare
Following a Mand'alor and rallying behind said leader if they call for arms
Sounds easy enough, right? Ehn, not so much if you are also a Jedi.
Why, you may ask? Let me break it down for you:
1. Wearing Armour -
This is one of the easy parts, anyone can wear armour - and, although I wasn't able to find a confirmation, it is said that a helmet issue in Chapter 20: The Foundling might have been simply how the mandalorains adapted to someone needs, just like we do in the real world. Meaning that armour could be adapted for Everyone
2. Speaking Mando'a -
Also super easy! And I'm sure there are variants or certain rules for Ithorians, who can't speak basic and have to use a translator
3. Raising their child(ren) as Mandalorians -
Oh boy! Now we get to the hard ones! Why, you may ask?
Because a Mando Jedi Would have Two Cultures that they would raise their kid by!
And while I'm sure it maybe wouldn't be an issue, the fact is: Mandalorians are known to forcefully change the name of kids they adopt (Kal Skirata, for an example of a victim even though his situation was portrayed positively because Karen Traviss Would Never show her mandos in anything that Wasn't a positive view), we don't get a lot mandos that show other cultures Beyond Mandalorian culture - which is bad btw (and before anyone comes at me, I'm just going to say that it could have been done during the Rebels or The Mandalorian) - and also since they view Jedi as enemies it wouldn't surprise me that they wouldn't be too kind on a kid who was mixed cultures, let alone if the kid preferred the Jedi culture more than Mandalorian.
This is not even talking about the fact that raising children is hard and that the Jedi might have to leave their job in the Order to raise the kid(s) if they weren't force sensitives - thus no longer being a Jedi job (which is what most people want when they say they want a mando jedi), and if they were force sensitive it would mean that they would probably be raised in the Order - And I want you to look at me in the eye and tell me if you truly believe that the majority of mandalorians wouldn't say that the Jedi wasn't "a true mandalorian" for taking that decision.
4. Defending themselves and their families -
Again, they will 100% do that UNLESS it means a greater harm for a good amount of people - and can you tell me that most mandalorian clans would accept that fact? That they wouldn't be the priority if something much bigger happened? Most people in real life wouldn't like that! Would fake accept and then get mad when it did happen because they were hoping that the person would change their minds!
But being a Jedi means following a philosophy of Harm Reduction and that means choosing the option that would save more lives/harm less lives, that fact doesn't change just because one of the people you won't be able to safe is your family. Or your whole family will be people you won't be able to safe, but a million more will survive, and there's No changing that.
5. Contributing to the clan's welfare -
This one seems easy but we don't know how much the Jedi are paid - if they are paid at all, honestly. For all we know they could get paid anything that could help anyone and all their things are made by the Jedi themselves or are donated or given by the Senate for missions, like they give them communicators, but it's mostly with the intent of using them during missions and not every day life - even if that becomes a side effect.
Or maybe the Jedi are given a budget, and they pay their workers, buy stuff they need (food, for example, even if I believe a good majority of vegetables and fruits are grown in the Temple) and pay the bills and then pay the Jedi/give the all the Jedi money depending on their age and rank. and maybe Jedi Shadows win money while undercover that they can use afterwards or normal Jedi have side hustles to earn money, but none of this we know for sure.
We don't Know how much the Jedi get if they get anything at all, so they won't be able to provide financially.
Okay but not with money what else could they do? They can't help around with the kids or daily tasks regularly when they have always the chance to be called away for a mission that could take months to years at the time. They can't help moving because they might get on call and drop that agreement. They can't move around or leave the Republic space because they might be needed for emergencies.
There's nothing that the Jedi can promise to do to help the Clan because of their job, and like.
Again, I can see a good majority of the Mandos (and Fans) not being able to forgive that and use it as a 'proof' that the Jedi ins't a 'True Mandalorian'
6. Following a Mand'alor and rallying behind said leader if they call for arms -
This is the one that it's a full No for the Jedi.
They are supposed to be Neutral, they can't join a side - they can't join the Mand'alor side or support them without a very good reason to.
The Jedi joined the Republic because they could help more planets and people would Listen more easily because they would have the Republic's backing. And I mean, looking at the good they did! A Thousand years of peace, ending slavery in the Republic and still working on ending it outside (Quinlan was on Tattooine, probably undercover take down a slavery ring)
Like lives are in danger and the best course of action is to ally themselves with with the Mand'alor.
Oh, and before anyone brings up the Republic and the War:
The Separatists were Enslaving worlds and literally built a weapon to eradicate all the organic life in a certain distance of the weapon, they Needed to be taken down. No matter the faults of the Republic, they were the better option in the Clone Wars as much as I hate to say it
I already said before on how the Senate is the one giving the Jedi stuff, and I will say it again! The Senate is probably the one who pays for a LOT of things of the Jedi, things they possibly need to survive. They Could Not say no to the Senate without risking the Order's entire life, ESPECIALLY because you can't tell me that Palpatine wouldn't activate Order 66 Earlier if they had said no.
Speaking of Palpatine, did you know the Senate and him drafted the Jedi? Yeah, they CANONICALLY did that.
Anywa, went off the road a bit but yeah.
The Jedi would only swear themselves to the Mand'alor If they were forced to, OR more lives would be saved that way.
And this fact? This being unable to swear themselves to the Mand'alor would be a deal breaker, since then they would be following 5 out of the 6
THE VERDICT:
Out of the Six Actions, we have:
2 that a Jedi would have no trouble following
2 that they would need clauses on - something that the majority of mandos wouldn't allow
1 that is Uncertain, but it's probably a negative since we don't know how well the Jedi would be able to help their clan and most mandos would probably want a full commitment and help for their clans
1 that the Jedi wouldn't be able to follow without a good reason that would last longer than a month
Meaning? A Jedi wouldn't be considered a Mandalorian by the majority of the Mando'ade, in fact they would most likely be considered dar'manda by a good proportion of the Mandalorian people.
Personal Thoughts: All my thoughts right now are surrounding Tarre Vizsla and how he would deal with all of this, since he would only be able to swear to two with no problems Makes me think that what @/aspiringwarriorlibrarian (sorry for the tag) theorized about Tarre becoming a Mand'alor via the non-warrior elite is a lot likely

- Favorite author (of anything readable - books, fanfics, zines, webtoons, whatever!):
sooooo my all-time fav book is Invisible Cites by Italo Calvino!! i am absolutely obsessed with the way he describes physical places and emotions, the metaphors and imagery and the way he describes the feeling a place or person can give you without actually describing it at all? it's both dreamlike and ethereal and grounded and real at the same time, and i just....love it so much. here's one of my favorite bits from the book:
Cities & The Sky [3] Those who arrive at Thekla can see little of the city, beyond the plank fences, the sackcloth screens, the scaffoldings, the metal armatures, the wooden catwalks hanging from ropes or surrounded by sawhorses, the ladders, the trestles. If you ask, "Why is Thekla's construction taking such a long time?" the inhabitants continue hoisting sacks, lowering leaded strings, moving long brushes up and down, as they answer, "So that its destruction cannot begin." And if asked whether they fear that, once the scaffoldings are removed, the city may begin to crumple and fall to pieces, they add hastily, in a whisper, "Not only the city." If, dissatisfied with the answers, someone puts his eye to a crack in a fence, he sees cranes pulling up other cranes, scaffoldings that embrace other scaffoldings, beams that prop up other beams. "What meaning does your construction have?" he asks. "What is the aim of a city under construction unless it is a city? Where is the plan you are following, the blueprint?" "We will show it to you as soon as the working day is over; we cannot interrupt our work now," they answer. Work stops at sunset. Darkness falls over the building site. The sky is filled with stars. "There is the blueprint," they say.
- Favorite fic type:
oh i will eat up...anything. literally anything. BUT if i had to pick, i have a special place in my heart for: soulmate AUs, angst with a happy ending, fake relationship AUs, hurt/comfort, time loops, magical realism AUs (particularly if canon-divergent), and the good old classic, fluffy modern AUs 💕
- Favorite Holiday:
i fucking...love christmastime okay?? i love the traditions my family has for it, like Short Feast on the winter solstice (where we eat Short Ribs and Short Grain Rice and Short Vegetables and Shortbread and put on our Short Pants and drink Short Bottles of Whiskey and go outside to Welcome the Coming of the Light, after the Longest Night of the Year), as well as finding/writing poems on Christmas Eve and walking to the large 600+ year old sequoia trees in our neighborhood to recite them and bring good energy to the new year, to watching It's A Wonderful Life every year. holidays and traditions are so much what you make of it, and i love the energy my family brings into it - nothing is precious, but everything is sacred.
- Do you have a partner (romantic, qpr, anything!)?:
ye, i have a bf!
- Hobbies:
i love to cross-stitch! it helps my adhd ass brain focus on things, so if ever im watching a show or listening to a podcast, i usually have a hoop in my hands. i also love board games - particularly social deception games! and of course - watching tv/movies, reading fic, consuming media, making moodboards, dreaming up fic ideas, and all the lovely things you see me talk about here on tumblr 💕

Just saw creativside remark on my "padawan are not adults" and yup absolutely fair, I forgot about the legal age in other countries, he is probably an adult in universe from a legal standpoint
My point should have been he is nineteen and at this age I'm pretty sure getting secretly married was what he was thinking it would be (which is not a mark against him, at nineteen I could have done the same but now I would think twice)
Also sorry about my joke, my comment on text analysis was probably harsher than intended 😅
-🐝
It takes strength of character to respond to criticism so gracefully, so props to you!
@creativside’s post about age in the Star Wars universe was really interesting, and we wouldn’t have gotten it without your original ask. So don’t beat yourself up too much about it 💕
Anakin might be legally an adult when he’s 19, but he’s clearly not mature. So from a certain point of view, you could say he hasn’t grown up yet.
Hey, we all make jokes that come off as harsher than intended sometimes. Text doesn’t always translate the ‘tee-hee’ aspect very well.
Thank-you for following up, you’re always welcome in my ask box if you have more Star Wars opinions to share 🐝💕

about me
I've been here for a while, but I don't think I've ever done this before & I wanted to introduce myself to the newer mutuals & followers so: hello! I'm Clarisse, just another random human on the internet. I love sunshine and pretty things, and my ridiculously long list of hobbies include birdwatching, painting, and crochet.
I enjoy reading DC comics but the ones with a lot of batfam drama are my (favorite!) guilty pleasure. I also love star wars, atla, and too many animated shows and movies to list down :)
but this blog is currently a batfam braindump! I post my artwork on here, and hopefully more of my writing + thoughts on comics & writing in the future.

Hi! I don’t expect you to share this necessarily, just wanted an opportunity to tell you something anonymously. A few weeks ago I started seeing all of the criticism around how fan fic writers choose to support one another and what’s acceptable when it comes to similar stories. I couldn’t have imagined it had to do with the two Raider Joel fics. I had been reading both and to me they were night and day, but I guess I don’t have all the details. Anyway, I know that led to a lot of discourse and honestly maybe pressure for writers to support other writers in certain prescribed ways. I saw your post about wanting to do better in that area. I guess I just wanted you to know that… it isn’t that serious? I love seeing your reblogs but I hope you never feel pressured or threatened by the mighty fist that is the internet. Again I don’t have all the details but it breaks my heart that jrrmint felt they needed to delete their blog. IMO you are one of the most sincere writers I follow and I really hope you know how much your readers respect your work and effort, even *if* it were ever to be similar to someone else’s.
Hi Bestie!
Thank you for reaching out! I wanted to respond because I wanted to make sure if others are feeling or thinking this way, it answers things for them too :) (also, sorry, this ended up being long so I put it below the cut! No actual spoilers or anything!)
I don't know a ton of what happened there and how it all shook out, so I don't want to say anything about that side of it. I mostly just saw the discourse that resulted. That being said, I love Toxic's fics (and I LOVE her Raider!Joel to an unhealthy degree honestly) and I only had a chance to read one of JJ's fics (4th of July) but it was one of the highlights of my week when it was coming out. I had been looking forward to checking out her take on Raider!Joel when I had the chance because I loved her DBF!Joel so much! It seems like a sad and hurtful situation all around and I hope everyone is doing well as things settle.
When I wrote that post the other day, it wasn't because I felt pressure to do so. It was mostly because I still feel like I'm figuring out a lot of this fan fic author life? I was thinking about it and I realized that, a year ago right now, I'd read a grand total of one fan fic in my entire life. I tried getting into fic in my younger years (like almost 20 years ago now) when I was obsessed with HP and Star Wars. But the fics I was finding weren't doing it for me. I never finished one and, eventually, gave up on starting them altogether. As hungry as I was for more content with these characters, I just accepted that fics weren't for me and that was OK. Then I saw someone online talking about Manacled - the HP fic - so I decided to give it a shot and I loved it. But I stopped there, thinking this was a rarity and that I'd just be disappointed if I sought out other content. I didn't start actively reading and seeking out fics until the corner of TikTok I'm on started talking about Mando fics so I decided to read one that sounded like it was interesting (it's Stitches if you've never read it, it's incredible!) That made me see what could be done with fic, how you can explore broader themes through fic and I loved the reader insert aspect of it. So I started writing my own fics after that! But that was in March of this year. I've only really be doing this about 7 months! I feel very lucky that so many people wanted to read these stories but it caught me off guard in a way. I originally hadn't intended to put my fic out there at all. My one IRL fan fic friend talked me into sharing on AO3 when I was like 50k words into Beskar Doll. Then I got a Tumblr to better talk to people reading there and then I started sharing here, too, and started Lavender not really expecting any more than a handful of people to read any of it. A lot more than a handful of you read it, as it happens! But I feel like a bit of an interloper in this space, like I showed up here and magically got an audience I haven't really earned. I want to make sure I'm participating in this community in a way that builds people up and serves people, not just myself. Everyone here has been so kind and welcoming to me, I want to make sure I'm putting that back out there, too. I'm just still learning the best way to do that, so I appreciate everyone being patient with me as I find my way!
If my work IS similar to someone else's, I hope y'all would let me know! I think it's very easy to read something, love it, have that thought stick in some way and then forget that it wasn't your idea to begin with when it works its way into your writing (I definitely wouldn't knowingly copy someone else's work!!) If I did that, I'd want to make sure I credited the person who came up with the idea and make sure they were comfortable with that at the very least, rewrite or remove it otherwise.
All that being said, I'm so very thankful for everyone who is here with me on this little corner of the internet. I love that you're all so supportive, so kind, so thoughtful and I am honored that you choose to read what I write.
So thank you for reaching out and for your kind words and for checking in! It's very much appreciated <3
Love you!!

New Official Sadi-Bloodmoon rp rules/fandoms post!
Oh boy, things have finally calmed down in terms of rp, a lot of my other stuff has died down, and my life is relatively calm as of late, so I figured "Time to lose some hurhurhur".
That being said, I deleted my old post in favor of using this one from here on out. I'll semi frequently update my profile status to say " rps open/closed" in the future to avoid confusion. Now let's get onto the fandoms section of this post!
The main fandom I'm looking to be involved in rps with is JJBA, and it is my hyperfixation at the moment, but I'll list a few other things I want to try just for the sake of building bridges.
-JJBA parts 1-5 (Burnt out on this one right now, Sorry)
-Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel
-Super Mario Bros
-Star Wars (closed due to lack of interest)
-Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler (CURRENTLY CLOSED, I'M BURNT OUT ON THIS ONE, WILL UPDATE WHEN I FEEL READY FOR GRELLE AGAIN)
(Edit: Adding a section about AU'S and crossovers...) Yeah, in general, just ask me if you have any ideas, but I've done several au related things at this point, and a few crossovers, and I feel like some that I can handle are as follows:
-Old West AU
-Mermaid / Sea Life AU
-Cottagecore AU
-Modern AU
-Fairytale / Magical Creatures AU
-Gods / Demigods AU
-Mafia AU
And in general, I'm open to new things as long as you ask me first!
And now for the most grueling part! The rules!
Please don't approach me for an rp if you're underaged, I'm not looking for an rp with minors, or to go to prison. And please don't lie about your age to get into my DMs, that shit's not okay.
As stated previously, you must be 18+, the reason for that is that I want the content of our rp to contain smut, but it won't be immediately, there should be a build up to smut between two characters.
Tell me about any and all triggers or sensitivities you might have so I can avoid triggering topics, our rps are meant to be a safe space for both of us.
No scat, vomit, or diaper fetish.
No pedophilia ships, incest ships, zoophile ships, or proshipping in general.
I'll be checking your profile to see if you're a proshipper, map, zoophile, terf, or anything problematic, I tend to form friendships with my rp partners, and don't think I can be friends/rp with bad people for the sake of my own mental health. You should also have your age in your bio so that I have confirmation that you're a legal adult.
Active hours really don't matter all that much, replies can just be whenever you're able to write, my reply schedule will probably be inconsistent too, so you don't have to feel bad if you fall asleep or have to work. But, please let me know if you're going to be inactive for more than 2 weeks, I would greatly appreciate it!
I only do OCxCanon ships, and prefer to double up, you do my crush, I do yours, equivalent exchange!
I'm not too picky about reply lengths, but more than 6 sentences in a semi lit to literate writing style would be ideal. I don't do illiterate roleplay, sorry.
If I happen to be inactive for more than 2 weeks, feel free to poke me, I really don't mind.
I only roleplay on discord, sorry
Where to contact me?
If you dm me on either of my Tumblr blogs, I may take longer to contact you back due to notifications on here being silly for me, so here's my discord info.
Tumblr media
Shoot me a message or a friend request or something if you're interested! Don't just comment on this post saying "interested", you little dorks. If you read the whole post, include the word "fork" in your first message, that's the secret word.

36, 17, 15, 37 and 8 for the 40 questions ask meme please!!
8- Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
Oh no, this is SO hard. I pride myself on my dialogue, and 'dialogue heavy' is one of the more common tag on all my works. Some of my favs have been emotional, heavy moments between characters, but I also write real stupid banter which I enjoy a lot, especially when it lands for readers. It's very hard to share a good dialogue snippet without the context that makes it funny or emotional though.
I also published 157 works, so there's choice galore! Here, have a bit from an Elden Ring fanfic, in which you, the reader, are the mate of one of the bosses, and the player character (the Tarnished) is a non-gendered character coming in and out of your life (as they do in the game), helping restore your hubby's memories and health by giving him death root. Just having fun with the way games send you on perpetual quests.
————
'I have seen you bring deathroot tirelessly,' you say, 'and wanted to thank you myself. It can't have been easy.'
'What ails him?' they asks, changing tack.
'An old grief,' you answer, the half-lie coming easily. 'Turned to madness.'
The Tarnished cocks their head sideways, a little like a curious wolf. 'I couldn't help but notice that the deathroot seemed to help? Like he's regaining memories… What affinity does Gurranq have with death?'
'You're a curious one, Tarnished.'
They look down and kick a pebble, swaying on the balls of their feet, now more like a child than a wolf.
'It's rare…' they say. 'For anyone to talk to me, or talk intelligibly. I miss it. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry.'
'That's alright,' you say with a smile. 'No harm done, and I understand you. I miss many things. I think if I saw a honey roll right now, I might cry.'
'Do you want me… to get you some?' the Tarnished asks, uncertain.
You laugh hard enough to nearly fall off your perch.
The Tarnished crosses their arms, defensive. 'What?' they ask. 'I've been sent on stranger quests.'
'I don't doubt it! Strange quests for strange times… But no. I would have no reward for your work, Tarnished, and Gurranq and I are not to linger here, so don't worry yourself.'
————
15- If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?
In Odd Company, my personal take for the Book of Boba Fett series, before it aired. Not like it's a high bar to clear, but I'm convinced my version is far superior, and it'd be the pilot episode. It was done for the BoBF Big Bang and has bonkers good art by Roventum.
17 was answered here!
36- Which is your favorite site to post fic?
AO3. I don't post anywhere else.
37- Talk about your current wips.
That is… a lot. There are a lot. I have so many unfinished works, I'm just the most blessed writer as I've received a stunningly tiny amount of "Update WHEN???" messages. For Avatar alone I have
Two chapters in the works for the Five is an awful number fic (which was always intended to be a one shot, I hate you all) Next (and final???) chapter of the Trail of Crumbs Quaritch fic A fic focusing on Quaritch and Spider as Spider adds a bead to his songcord for meeting him The Ronal and neytiri have a chat chapter of the Ronal fic Kiri x Rotxo date followed by the arrival of Spider…
In Arcane I need to finish Fathers and Daughters, and all the rest is suspended till the blue people mental illness subsides.
For Star Wars I am sitting on a finished chapter for the double time travel fic but I got concrit on it that demands a complete rewrite. Tarkin and Soka sitting where they always do, overshadowed by Pandora and its delights… I also have a bunch of unfinished Andor bits, which I might honestly yeet into a blog post instead of leave to rot on my laptop.
I'm not even going to list things in SW… I have WIP disease and I kind of hate it for myself.
40- Write an alternative ending to [insert fic title] (or just the summary of one).
I wouldn't know how. I've never felt the need to write alternate endings. I also almost never know "where the characters go" after I finish a story. If the ending is open and vague, it's on purpose. I'm not withholding anything.
There isn't a single fic I'd look back on now and want to change the ending. My endings are rare but I'm happy with all of them.
Sorry x'D
Thanks a lot for the asks! <3

I’m a big fan of the terminator series, and I’ve read through some of your posts. You’ve mentioned a couple of times that T1, T2, and DF are “canon” and I was wondering if you could go into depth about that?
I'm sincerely sorry for missing this for like... ever. Sorry!
So "canon" is always subjective. What's considered gospel is always down to how you define it, but I generally defer to either whoever had the biggest part to play in creating or making something, or to what is current at time of writing, in the story universe, in the format of the original... depending on which has a stronger case at the time.
So what Chris Carter says is "true" to the world of the X Files is canon - what a spinoff novelisation has Mulder and Scully romp around doing is not, even if it's licensed.
It gets a bit trickier when you talk about something like Star Wars - George Lucas would historically have been the arbiter of ~Canon~, but no longer is. Star Wars is an ongoing movie universe now without his involvement. So, because the timeline is current and Lucas has bowed out, I consider the modern Star Wars movies to trump the older EU spin off content. They have the strongest claim to canon.
Canon is in some ways more fungible than usual when it comes to Terminator - it has multiple, mutually exclusive timelines branching out from T2, and the nature of the premise means something canon in one movie can be unravelled by the next even if they're in the same timeline. This is arguably even true in some ways of T1 and T2, which have contradictory concepts of time travel or where the future goes from here.
That said - let's start simple.
We can pretty much all agree T1 is, obviously, canon, because it's the first movie the rest all spring from.
T2 is canon, because James Cameron made it, and because *every* subsequent movie follows on from it as if it remains true. So there's no contest to it.
Dark Fate is a little less ironclad - but it still meets both the criteria I consider qualifying, easily.
Firstly, right now it's the "current" timeline - it's entirely possible it will be displaced by another movie in future, but right now it's the heir apparent. It overwrites all the previous movies since T2, and nothing has been handed the torch since.
Secondly, Cameron was heavily involved with it.
Technically, he produced the movie, and is credited as such - but James Cameron is a notorious control freak, and a James Cameron producer credit means something very different to what it seems to mean for most, as Robert Rodriguez can attest.
It's clear how involved in the conceptualisation he was in any of the press interviews he did -
youtube
In another interview I can't get to hand, he even went on to suggest he hoped to be more involved in any follow ups DF generated.
We know he had input to the script directly, having contributed set piece ideas to it - the first death we see (yes, that one), and the plane-to-dam stuff were his ideas - and even scenes (Sarah and Carl's confrontation) and was rewriting script pages up until shooting day, as has always been his habit.
We also know he also retained veto power - Tim Miller has mentioned a number of elements he would have done differently if not for being "overruled" by Cameron, including how the humans are faring in the war - and he was involved in edit suite decisions, much to Miller's frustration.
So we can say that, more than just giving it his seal of approval for the promo circuit (something he has, in fairness, done for previous post T2s), he was very actively involved in devising, making and steering the movie, had the final say over what ultimately went on to the screen, and even intended to tell stories continuing from the "facts" it established.
And on that point - in the Special Edition commentary for T2, Cameron makes it clear he actually considers the *Theatrical* cut of that movie canon, not any of the extended ones - which means that the chip removal scenes or Sarah's Kyle dream aren't considered gospel to the continuity. He considers these "might have been" scenes, referring to them as "donut holes", ie the fun little off-cuts of the real product.
Dark Fate takes his ruling on this as law - it adheres strictly to the "rules" of the Theatrical Cut, which is why we see a T800 capable of learning on its own. Per the Theatrical Cut, in canon, T800s can learn by themselves, so that's what Carl has done.
(And indeed, as brilliantly executed as the chip scene is, nixing it resolves an apparent contradiction in how the un-modded Phone Book Killer was already seen to learn independently in T1).
Now it is entirely possible Dark Fate will be overwritten in future - just as T3 or Genisys were - or that Cameron will withdraw the relay baton from Dark Fate and pass it elsewhere. But as it stands, at time of writing, I consider it pretty much as certified and canonical as it's possible to be. It's the current state-of-the-plot, jCam was all over it, it has the most direct continuity with T2, and it was the one Cameron hoped to run with.
So by my reckoning at least, that makes the official, canon, sealed by Word of God sequence of the Terminator story to be -
The Terminator -> Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Theatrical Cut) -> Terminator: Dark Fate
...at least for now.
I'm always open to argument otherwise though. :)

Hi, I just found your fanfic "The Blacks & the Greens", recommended by Sunsetking. I'm already at 120+ chapters and the amount is a bit overwhelming, but I'm trying, one thing that bothers me a lot is having to read the point of view of a character I don't like, it's annoying, and I've always struggled with this in G.R.R. Martin, but I'm doing my best to read it.
I'm actually just sending this message bc I want to say that I really admire your courage, and having myself decided not to watch the adaptation for my own reasons, I know how much difficult this can be. GOT pages I've followed for years only post about that, about things I don't want to see, and I unfollowed a lot of them for my peace of mind. I get sad of not being able to enjoy it like everyone else. Other books I really like are being adapted and it breaks my heart that I won't be watching.
For my part I would prefer an adaptation of Aegon IV's reign and see the beautiful Shiera Seastar and Bloodraven together. Anyway, they'd probably find a way to screw that up too.
I'm curious, what other period of the Targaryens' reign would you like to rewrite? I would definitely change a lot of shit in the Conquerors period, my best girl Visenya deserved better, I would also change Robert's post (and pre) rebellion period focusing on Viserys and Daenerys ofc, Sunsetking seduced me to this couple and I've loved them ever since.
I'm honestly more looking forward to adapting Tolkien's book, although this fandom is so... pure, compared to other fandoms like Star Wars that have smut for all tastes. Fëanor/Galadriel reminds me of Rhaenyra/Daemon, but there's no fanfic out there that shows what they could have been. I also like Galadriel/Finarfin even though they are father and daughter simply because I can and because Finarfin is hot. And yet, there is no content there either.
I haven't revised this text and I couldn't put into words all the frustrations I feel with what's going on, but I want to get this out, thx.
Hi there 😊
Can I just say how refreshing it is to meet someone with good taste and convictions not be bedazzled by some shiny dragons on some sh:tty show?
Love you! ❤️❤️❤️
I have said it before I will again this is THE year for terrible “adaptations” 🤦🏽‍♀️ and it is hard to keep sane and keep my love for the source material alive. I have had to do what you did. I lost count of how many accounts I unfollowed for my own sanity and how many tags I had to block and I am beyond TIRED telling YouTube and Instagram to STOP fcking recommending sh:t to me! I am one post away from uninstalling Instagram on my cellphone.
Sorry for the outburst 😔
I honestly struggle to understand how anyone who is a fan of Dany/House Targaryen/Dance period read those spoilers and is still on the bandwagon and promoting that steaming pile of 💩but I guess it’s not my place. I am no one really and it is what it is. As for myself however I will keep far away from anything (fck I know too much already of the travesty about to unfold) and I am at a point that if someone is even using the tag I won’t promote them. Sorry, no. I have a lot of respect for my own intelligence to want to be associated with the terribly written fanfiction about to come out.
I could keep ranting about this 💩 but for the sake of my sanity and time and yours as well I won’t. Needless to say anyone with two braincells who read the books will see it for what it is. Season 8 2.0.
I also struggle to understand in the show verse how anyone would care for Dany’s family, I mean like a certain actor has said they are all crazy 🤡 I will shut up now I promise.
What I would want to see “adapted” you ask? Nothing. After what they had done and continue to do absolutely nothing. I don’t trust mainstream media to handle the asoiaf material well because they don’t. The have not handled it well in the past. They are not handling it well in the present. They won’t do so in the future. That’s that. I actually trust mainstream media with very little and I am glad I reached a point in life where my source of entertainment mainly comes from books. I don’t have any active subscriptions and I don’t even own a tv thank my good judgment for it!
I’m not sad I am not enjoying it the same way I am not sad for finding out Santa wasn’t real.
I may have a somewhat cold approach to life but given the choice no matter how much it hurts I want the truth. Ignorance is bliss that is a fact, but I have long accepted the fact that truth might not be a happy path but it’s the one I will always follow. In this and everything else in life that is my motto.
I want to really thank you for taking the huge amount of time that you did to read my fic but I want you to know that if you aren’t enjoying it you don’t need to keep reading it ❤️ I mean it. Just because we stand together on some things doesn’t mean we have to like the same things and I completely understand my fic isn’t for everyone ❤️ I keep friends with a lot of people who stopped reading my fics so don’t feel like you have to read my sht to talk to me. You don’t and you don’t have to like it!
Btw if your blog is a terrible adaptation free zone feel free to send me a dm so I can follow you! I honestly welcome any place where I can cleanse my palate 😂😂
Thanks for your message I really appreciate knowing there are still people with good sense out there ❤️

eugh and I am STILL struggling with what to do with fandoms on this tumblr
I know that everyone reblogs that post about how if your moot changes fandoms that's a-okay and you'll either accept or block this new spamming of some random character you've never heard of before. But I can't help feeling a bit bad about it.
TBH secretly, and I feel rly bad about it, but... I actually don't like it when people spam stuff I don't know anything about on tumblr. (Or reblogging the same post 5 times. Sorry.) It's just... empty clutter on my dash, which I too often use as a sorta dopamine IV for if I'm in desperate need of brain stimulation. (Not as much as I used to but still.)
But maybe that's just because I'm too hesitant to block tags. I'm finally starting to block fandom tags now and like at first I felt really bad like 'of all the fandoms you chose to block, that one?!' but now that I've done a few it's easier. It's not that I hate to see it it's just it interrupts my dashboard's flow.
But also just. I really do think that compared to most people the fandoms I go between tend to vary REALLY widely. Most people will go from e.g. fantasy video game fandom 1 to fantasy video game fandom 2 or whatever and there's a good chance fans of one will like the latter. And I know this sounds very 'I'm so quirky lolz' but just. objectively. I am pretty sure that Star Trek TOS -> Homestuck -> Little Busters! -> Supernatural -> American Revolution RPF -> Ensemble Stars! -> Fire Emblem (especially Genealogy of the Holy War) is. an unusual list of Main Fandoms.
And partly that is my brain's inherent craving for novelty. I *need* a certain level of Different Things, vaguely defined. Which explains why I tend to gravitate towards fandoms with a lot of different quirky characters (like Homestuck, Ensemble Stars! etc.) or Visual Novels, where each route registers as a Different Story in my brain so it's like I get five Different Things for one.
So I'll have, like. ONE fantasy game I play. But then I need to mix it up with other really different things. So I can get a multitude of vibes. Same thing with my fanfic: I'm constantly trying new things, and can't really get motivated to write something unless I feel like I couldn't easily read it somewhere (thus my total lack of creative motivation while I was into Supernatural).
Anyway the point of it is. I'm just too aware that my followers are real people, who presumably followed me for something they enjoy seeing on their dash. Probably just agreeing with my opinions in general. And in general I like to reblog things that I think people will. Like. Not in a 'This'll Do Numbers' way but in a 'I like contributing positively to a community' sort of way I guess.
But it's also a matter of post type. I mind much less when people write heaps of text posts or whatever about their stuff; sometimes it's fun to see analyses even of things I know nothing about, and I can feel their passion shining through. It's much more cluttery when people do heaps of e.g. fanart reblogs without commentary.
But then that's what sends me into stasis whenever I see a post I like and want to reblog but I feel like I have to Write Something Good Enough in the tags. Which is an inherently very very silly idea I know lmao. But it was honestly a bit freeing several months (years????? timye.) ago when I allowed myself to just hit reblog with no tags at all.
IDK like look I want to just be free and make my blog filled with nice things that I like but just like with masking I can't divorce myself from the context that these are things I'm sharing with real people. And maybe it's just a loneliness in me that because my tastes are so absurdly specific and radically Different it's hard to find other people who'll really relate to more than one or two of them.
Anyway thanks for coming to my TED Talk, this one's called 'thoughts about this blog I've had variously for the last five years or so which is funny because at some point that'll be more than half the life of my presence on tumblr lmao'

The Rescuers
Part One: “Old acquaintances meet again"
Summary: You are a mandalorian rebel friends with Captain Rex so you are well aware of the entire "clone situation" going on. And of course you want to help as much as you can. You then go to Ryloth trying to help the Syndulla's and maybe find your old friend Cody.
Pairing: None. Yet. But will be a Crosshair x Reader.
Gender: There'll be no mentions of gender or pronouns on this part yet. Though further in the story it might have she/they pronouns used.
 Word count: 1.6k
Tags: Injury recover, post-clone wars story, rescuing clones/friends, a bit of melancholy?
 Warning: Brief description of injury.
Notes: So, I literally dreamed most parts of this story (I know, crazy Star Wars obsession here). I filled up some parts as I was writing of course. And it turned out a bit like a beautiful sad tragic. I might even do a playlist for this fanfic actually. Hope u enjoy it :)
Tumblr media
The war, the republic, the jedi all have ended. Literally on the same day. And what it seemed like a fresh start, finally a moment of peace in the chaos turned into nightmares. You weren’t there when it happened, you just heard the news of Obi-Wan saying the jedi order and the republic had fallen and you also heard the now Emperor Palpatine telling everyone that the clone wars has ended and the jedi were traitor, they’ve tried to assassinate him according to well… himself. And now he’s forming this new galactic empire, giving people numbers like the ones clones used to have and killing off any resistance against this new order. Everyone seemed to believe him, you gotta give him that he was a pretty damn’ good  liar indeed. But you knew better than that. You are mandalorian after all and were friends with no one less than Duchess Satine and Senator Padmé. You helped them countless times in their diplomatics and you even fought with the jedi and the clones at times. They were good people, yes, the order might have messed up at lot but traitors? Murders? They sure didn’t deserve to die like that and I guess… No one does.
You quickly then joined the rebellion. There you found many of former politics like Senator Organa and even a clone… Captain Rex (or is it Commander now?). You’ve met him once before and he seemed like a good person and looks like he’s really a great man just like you thought. You soon became friends. But sadly, the other clones you knew before like Cody were still with the empire. Though both you and Rex were very determinate to help others like him. And also, obviously, protect your allies against the empire.
Well, as expected trouble begins. There’s been rumors about what’s going in Ryloth with the Syndulla’s and the empire occupation. Worried about them and their people, you go there to help as you can. And if there’s need, you’d call more rebels to help too though you didn’t want to envolve more people yet because you’re afraid of the reaction it could cause ( and what that would cost for ryloth and its people). You also have a tiny tiny hope that maybe just maybe Cody could be there.
Arriving in Ryloth, you discover the Syndulla family have indeed oppose agains the empire occupation and they’ve went into a lot of trouble because of that but apparently a group of mercenaries (?) have already rescued them from the prison they were sent to. One less problem for you to fix I guess. You were glad for them but you still want to spy a little on the empire and see what you could find out after all, the trip couldn’t be for nothing.
You find your way and get to a particular high hill with a great view of one imperial base. You pick up your binoculars and the only person you see in a sort of balcony is a very depressive-looking Crosshair. You remember him from that one time clone force 99 saved your butt from the mess you’ve yourself in. He was… quite unfriendly, let’s say. But he did get the job done and made sure you were okay so you just ignored his behavior. Looking at him now it was looking at a shadow of him.
It made you remember what Rex told you once:
“We clones were all created with this chip thing in our my minds. We were made for the war and the war only but apparently someone thought it would be great if they let us think we've got free will. That we could be anything we wanted to be after the war. So we made friends, some of us found a family with our jedi. They let we hope. Just so we have all of that taken away from us with order 66. The war had ended for everyone except for us. We had our will taken from us, our minds controlled by this chip and we had to follow orders. While we're still there conscious of what we were doing we had to kill the people we fought together the entire war. I remember her face... I'm so glad she didn't see my face. I couldn't bare.”
Thinking about what all the clones been through, you can’t just leave him like this. He did save you once and this was your chance to repay that. Rex keeps saying we can’t save everyone (more to himself than to you) but one person is better than nobody, right?  At the time you improvise a plan: neither the empire nor Cross can’t know yet that you’re a rebel. You haven’t done anything yet incriminating (at least not that they were aware of). So you can just jump in there where he was standing and talk to him. Worst case scenario he ignores you. However you sure knew how to annoy him enough that at least he would call you out and when that happens you act. Ok, that you still have to figure out exactly how you would act. Well, half of a plan is better than no plan.
You just jump in behind his back and of course he points his gun at you as expected. But he apparently recognizes who it’s standing in front of him and put his riffle down.
   “ Hello there.”  You say.
“What do you think you’re doing?”  He replies.
“Oh, please, don’t act like you aren’t happy to see me.”
He gives you a faint of a smile. “Don’t flatter yourself.”
You smiled back. “But seriously, what you’re doing here all alone? And why- You finally noticed the burn mark on his now bald head. - are you like this? Doesn’t the empire takes care of its soldiers? Nor your squad? The bad batch, right? That’s what you called yourselves?”
His face closes again. “You have nothing to do with that. I’m-”
“By yourself?” You pause for a moment. “Alright, I get it. You’ve probably been through a lot. We all have. Not sure why you’re like this but it doesn’t matter right now. I just wonder… Don’t you want to get out of all of this?”
Cross pauses for a moment. It seems like he's considering the possibility. “I… I can’t.”
“But…”  You then think. You remind yourself of how protective he was that one time you were saved by them. Maybe this instinct was still there, you had to try. You saw a pointed rock close to where you were standing and decided that you would accidentally cut yourself. “Ouch!”
    “What’s up?”
“Oh! Nothing! Just might have cut myself here.” You show your hand now with a bit bigger than you expected cut and some blood.
He almost laughs at it. “What a little clumsy one you are, eh?”
His mocking at you, that’s something, right? “Yeah, I guess….”
“Well, let’s go?”  He points to the door.
     “Go where?”
“Don’t you wanna take care of that, sweetheart?”
     “Right, medical bay then?”
“Obviously.”  Perfect. He would be right where you needed him to be.
The both of you enter the facility and walk directly to the medical bay. The empire base is pretty much a bland dark and boring military base with some troopers walking around, some commanders (you think) yelling at the soldiers and some droids doing whatever they have to do. You knew only that they were “r - unities” but droids weren’t exactly your area of expertise. However you do notice that the troopers walking around still wear the same clone armor from back the war. And you feel guilty. Because as much as you’d like you won’t be able to help them all. They’ll stay there with their chips on being controlled by the empire…. By the force, that was a hole guilty trip you knew you shouldn’t take. It wasn’t your fault. No, no. They did this. Palpatine and his men were the monsters. Not you. And certainly not these poor clones. One day, yes, one day maybe you could come back and save them?
“Hmmm…. You wanna me to do this?”  Cross says. You were so distracted in your thoughts you don’t even realized you were already in the medical bay.
 “Oh. You don’t have to.”
“It's fine. I’m used to do this anyway.”
  “Ok. Be my guest then?”
“Wow, you’re so funny.” He jokes.
  “Whatever. Just do your thing.”
  “Give me your hand.”
You give him your hand and he takes it. And to your surprise he’s very gentle while taking care of your wound. He applies some alcohol pads to clean the wound. And as he presses the wound to stop the bleeding you reach for your gun and keep looking at his face. His very concentrated. It’s almost like the rest of the galaxy doesn’t matter. He’s only there at the moment focused on helping you. And you’re trying to plan how you’re gonna knock him out to take his chip off.
“Now I’m gonna get some stuff to make a bandage for ya, ok?” He says and turns his back. Now is you chance. You turn your blaster to stun only and shoots. He falls.
“I’m sorry. But there’s no other way.” You whisper as if he’s actually listening.
It takes some effort (seriously, Crosshair's heavier than he looks) but you manage to put him on one these surgical stretchers. You also have to learn super quick how to use the pad control to see where the chip’s in and take it off. But it’s done. And you wait and wait… For what it seemed like hours though it was only like 15 minutes.
And he wakes up very confused.

My Top 10 Ships of 2020
It's been a weird year but I've seen other people doing this. Plus this year I've been way more into gen fics (love a bit of found family especially in clone wars and marvel) than anything shippy. So I genuinely don't know what imma put on here aside from two ships for sure. Sorry this post is super long idk how to do the below the cut thing and I've had this app for 5 years...
10) Viktor Nikiforov and Yuuri Katsuki - Yuri!!! On Ice
It was a real toss up between this, supercorp, kanera and wolfstar cos they're all very integral ships to my fan heart but this son because of the Yuri on Ice fandom's rebirth this year. I've never stopped shipping this, never stopped reading fanfic of them for any extended period of time, they're still my most bookmarked ship on ao3 (although I think now star wars - all media types may have overtaken them for fandom). They were one of the first things I watched where the queer ship I loved became canon and I can't wait for the film (and hopefully someday a season 2). Heck I even made my mum watch Yuri on Ice with me so I think that says it all.

9) Edelgard Von Hresvelg and female Byleth - Fire Emblem: Three Houses
My first fire emblem game was fates when I was like 14 (and finally gay awake lol). I was so disappointed that I had to be with a guy character because the only female option was kinda creepy and also I wouldn't get the character of kana. So when three houses came out I was so happy because finally there were beautiful incredible female characters my female byleth could romance (I'm so sorry mlm you deserved so much more than you got). I got the game as soon as it came out (had to search a lot of shops let me tell you) and started on black eagles. I was actually kinda disappointed back in 2019. I didn't like the explore the monastery bit (still find it kinda tedious) and the battle mechanics weren't quite the same as fates (no pairing up?! Aka my main battle technique for protecting the weaker units). So I got like 20 hours in and put it down. Came back to it in lockdown and finally finished it! I'm so proud of myself I virtually never finish games. And I fully fell in love with the useless lesbian edelgard in the process. When I started back playing in 2020 I was like eh I wish I'd picked a different character to romance (like shes an emperor that's morally very shady) but then the romance stuff started with edelgard and I fell the heck in love.

8) Cory Matthews and Shawn Hunter (and Topanga Lawrence) - Boy Meets World
Disney+ was released in the UK this year and I finally got the opportunity to watch boy meets world in its best quality (aka not on YouTube). I watched it back when I was like 12 or 13 and it's such a nostalgic show for me. Watching it again I still absolutely adore it (and my bi ass was low-key crushing on Shawn especially in chick like me - I'm 18 btw and I got so scared for a sec but rider strong was 18 when chick like me came out so it's fine woah). And of course now I see the possibilities of the beautiful Cory and Shawn relationship like they were so bromance it was basically romance and throw in topanga it's the perfect ot3 (but I'm also fine with just Cory and Shawn or just Cory and Topanga). Read some good fanfic for them this year. My favourite was one about Shawn stealing makeup and stuff and exploring gender (need more fics like this I'm biiii).

7) Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes - Marvel Cinematic Universe
I rewatched all the MCU films this year too. And got really into Peter parker whump and irondad. Plus my eternal obsession with identity and relationship reveals of course led me from Spiderman identity reveals (and found family cuteness) to stucky coming out. Especially when it involves the internet and social media. Not my favourite ship but it's been significant to my year due to the sheer amount of marvel stuff I've read.
Tumblr media
6) Satine Kryze and Obi Wan Kenobi - Star Wars
I rewatched clone wars in prep for season 7 and wow Satine's death was sad and sudden. She first appeared in S2 E13 I think and just the sheer sexual tension of their bickering. "The sarcasm of a soldier. The delusion of a dreamer." Just ugnnhhh my bi ass can't take much more of this. And Anakin just sipping his wine in the background grinning. And I fully believe korkie is a Kenobi.
Tumblr media
5) Commander Cody and Obi Wan Kenobi - Star Wars
I am very much an Obi wan multishipper. I don't really have a favourite but I fully believe he was with satine and Quinlan in his life. I don't think be would've actually done anything with Cody because of the whole superior officer thing. And this probably isn't even my favourite Obi wan ship - that honour probably goes to quinobi or obitine. However the most popular ships in the fandom are codywan, quiobi and obikin. No offence to anyone who ships these they're just personally not to my taste, but I can't stand quiobi, and obikin I find only slightly more tolerable and I think that's just because there's so much obikin content so if I like the concept of a fic that happens to be obikin I'll read it. I'm just not a fan of the mentor/student relationships. So I generally favoured the codywan fics when there was shipping involved meaning I read a lot of them this year. Needed that nice fix it content post season 7.
Tumblr media
4) Zuko and Katara - Avatar: the Last Airbender
Again I am a multishipper I have nothing against zukka it's cute. But I'm a zutara shipper first and foremost because when I first watched avatar I was like 13 and denying my gayness and gayness in general so I shipped the straight things and the straight things only. Most of these ships I stopped shipping - dramione, spuffy, some my little pony ones which we don't talk about. Zutara stayed. (I have nothing against any of the things I used to ship I just stopped shipping them so much/shipped new things more). I've continuously shipped zutara since I first watched avatar even if I didn't necessarily spend that much time on it it has always been here as one of my favourite ships. It has such good fanfic I swear including my favourite ever fanfic from any fandom - love thy enemy. Plus like the black games (reread this for the millionth time this year), a delicate subterfuge (which I read for the first time this year and damn it's so good) and so many more. With the avatar resurgence this year I haven't actually rewatched avatar aside from my normal random episode every now and then when I feel like it. But there's been a lot of avatar on my dash from people I follow getting into it and people I followed for avatar returning so naturally I returned to the fandom and read quite a lot of fanfic. I also read just a lot of avatar gen fics which were great at the whole found family thing I've been so obsessed with this year.
Tumblr media
3) Catra and Adora - She Ra and the Princesses of Power
Catradora is canon! They kissed! What more is there to say. Arguably they should've been top but I never shipped them that much since I was always very much a multishipper when it came to she ra so yes I was very happy it became canon because we actually won for once but also I've never read much fanfic for them etc. But they are very much a dynamic I love and watching she ra all again in prep for season 5 I really enjoyed the build up of their relationship. The other two only go above because Buffy is my favourite show ever and damn there's some good fuffy fanfic and Aphra and Tolvan is both fresh in my mind and star wars owns me. Would love some catradora fic recs btw if anyone has them tho.
Tumblr media
2) Buffy Summers and Faith Lehane - Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I didn't realise it was last year that I got super into them but according to my ao3 bookmarks it was lol. 2020 I swear it's lasted an eternity. I got into them about a month before lockdown (which feels like another lifetime). I've loved Buffy since I first watched it when I was 13. It's arguably still my favourite TV show. I've been through a lot of ships for Buffy - bangel to spuffy and now fuffy. I still think angel and her were a beautiful ship back in season 2 and especially in the angel episode I will remember you. But faith and Buffy had so much chemistry in season 3 - she would've been a fresh start for Buffy and the amount of fix it fics I read I swear. My favourite has to be one where they met in LA during Anne and how that changed everything feat Buffy's internal homophobia.
Tumblr media
1) Cheili Lona Aphra and Magna Tolvan - Star Wars
I read Darth Vader (2015) and Doctor Aphra (2016) for the first time at the end of 2020 (got a comic subscription which has served me very well already I've nearly finished the star wars canon comics). Just to see canon queer ladies in star wars was so magical for me as a queer lady. I didn't think star wars would be so overt yet as to have a queer kiss in canon (even if it's in the comics) and especially not with the main character of arguably their main comic series. Now we just gotta hope that we'll get it in live action someday soon. They weren't the ship I consumed the most content of in 2020 but they were the highlight of my 2020 because star wars did that and I finally found out about it
Tumblr media
Honourable mentions: Vivian and Elle - Legally Blonde, Candace and Vanessa - Phineas and Ferb, Stevie and Alex - Wizards of Waverly Place, Xander and Spike - Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I actually don't ship this but damn some authors are good - this was the ship that made me realise I don't need to like a ship if the author is good enough to write it well), Eli Vanto and Mitth'raw'nuruodo - Star Wars (started reading the books last year but finished this year and only started with fanfic this year), Villanelle and Eve - Killing Eve, Kanan and Hera - Star Wars, Barriss and Ahsoka - Star Wars, Remus and Sirius - Harry Potter, Kara and Lena - Supergirl (let's hope this becomes canon next year!) (Those last four are ones I've shipped forever some of my og ships but nothing particularly big has happened for me this year with them so)
I got Disney+ this year so rewatched a fair few things from my youth and though hey my obsession with that character may have been a little gay.
