Dismissing established, indisputable facts as propaganda is often a step on a path to straight up denialism.
I’ve seen it happen far too many times.

Okay so JK Rowling has:
• Openly been transphobic as fuck
• Donated tons of money to causes which have eroded trans rights across the globe, to the point of being one the biggest forces behind the current transphobe movement
• Defended slavery in her most popular work (House elves LIKE being slaves thoooo 🙄)
• Used racist caricatures which have racist names in her most popular work (Kingsley Shacklebolt, Cho Chang, Seamus Finnigan)
• Used antisemitic caricatures in her most popular work (Goblins)
• And if you're still "well, but..."-ing the antisemitism of the Goblins, the recent game was straight-up the definition of blood libel
• Completely botched her representation of native americans because she doesnt care enough to do research
• Used the name of the man who invented conversion therapy as a pseudonym to write books
• Made a movie set in her universe where the *VILLAINS* goal is to stop the holocaust (which. WOW)
• And has now engaged in ACTUAL HOLOCAUST DENIAL
Seriously, how bad does she have to get before you all will admit to yourselves that supporting her is the same as supporting nazism??? "It was part of my childhood!" Same!!! And it sucks to admit that something you used to love is actually awful and harmful!!! But also at some point you have to just...move on!!!! "Oh I'm sure its just a mistake!" Why, because she claimed that ONE character is gay and wouldnt even let it be shown ever??? Because the main villain was slightly more cartoonishly racist than she is???? Because one of the most popular characters quit being a cartoon racist *BECAUSE HE WAS HORNY*?
Seriously. Give up Harry Potter. No grey area anymore.
Edit: forgot some shit she did, added it

My grandparents were all Holocaust survivors. A large part of my family was murdered in that genocide. I chose to deal with the family trauma by becoming an educator on this subject. I give tours, lectures and workshops on the Holocaust, on antisemitism and on Jewish history.
Intellectually, I'm perfectly aware of how the massacre that Hamas perpetrated is NOT like what the Nazis did. More Jews were murdered over the course of just two days in Babi Yar (33,771 men, women and children), which is just one Nazi shooting pit out of almost two thousand, than during the entire Israeli-Arab conflict. Even after the carnage brought on by Hamas, this is still true. The Nazis were far more systematic (which eventually made them turn industrial) in carrying out the genocide of the Jews than Hamas has been. There's no comparison in terms of scale and industrialization.
And yet emotionally, I can't help but be hit by the similarities in terms of the immediate brutality of the murderers and the experiences of the Jewish victims. Because I am listening to the testimonies and some are so eerily similar to my research, I simply can't process how these are from recent days, not 80 years ago.
Jewish kids hiding from their would be murderers, scared to make a sound for fear of being discovered and killed.
Jewish families completely wiped out.
Jews asking themselves how did they survive and the person next to them did not.
Jewish people executed in droves, their bodies piled up.
Jews begging to be spared, to no avail.
Jewish women raped, most of them then killed.
Jewish babies executed in barbaric ways.
Jews being burned, some after being murdered, some while alive.
Jewish communities devastated. Take kibbutz Be'eri for example. It was founded before the State of Israel. Despite many terrorist attacks, it has continued to thrive in Israel's south. A small, close knit agricultural community. Over 100 people (at least) have been slaughtered there. Homes were destroyed. Everything the kibbutz's economy was based on was laid to waste, too. Be'eri has become synonymous with the worst of the carnage. IDK how they'll build their lives again after the war is over. IDK if they can. A community of almost 80 years, quite likely gone.
Foreign reporters who had been to kibbutz Kfar Azza all talked about the eerie silence and the stench of death rising from the bodies. Eerie silence is exactly how visitors to the sites of the shooting pits describe those places, while the allied soldiers who liberated the Nazi camps talked about the stench of death there.
Some of the reactions to this massacre also remind me of the Holocaust. Even though the Nazis, the murderers themselves, documented their extermination of Jews, there are those who deny the Holocaust happened, painting the Jews as liars. Similarly, even though Hamas documented themselves, and released the footage themselves, there are people going around denying the atrocities, painting the Jews as liars.
Then there's the justification of the mass murder of Jews by insinuating they brought it on themselves... Back in 1943, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, aware of the plight of Jews under the Nazis, told government officials in Allied-liberated North Africa that the number of local Jews in various professions “should be definitely limited” so as to “eliminate the specific and understandable complaints which the Germans bore towards the Jews in Germany.” Understandable complaints. Understandable complaints of Germans against Jews. Roosevelt, the liberal president, said that while Jews were being exterminated by the Germans. In the same manner, we're seeing people justifying the murder of Jews at the hands of Hamas, even though it's a known antisemitic terrorist organization which has repeatedly called for the murder of all Jews in the world. According to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a reportedly Hamas affiliated Imam declared, "If the Zionist state were to move to the other end of the Mediterranean, our war would not be over, for the enemy is the Jew.
And while I stand by my statement that the scale is nothing alike, the carnage that took place in Israel IS the biggest massacre of Jews since the end of the Holocaust. Not even during Israel's Independence War and some of the massacres of Jews that happened during it (like the Kfar Etzion massacre) were this many Jews murdered during a single day.
Just like so many were silent back then as Jews were being both killed for being Jewish AND blamed for their own murder, many are silent now as well. Don't get me wrong, there are A LOT of amazing people who reached out to their Jewish friends, who showed they care, who took to the streets, who held vigils for the massacre's victims! Many heads of state also condemned this vicious attack. But I'm looking at Tumblr specifically, and it is FULL of posts justifying Hamas' slaughter of Jews. They're being reblogged everywhere, spread in every fandom. People who claim to stand for social justice feel absolutely no shame sharing such de-humanizing posts on their blogs. And what do we do? Are we calling them out? Do we make it clear that it is morally unacceptable to blame Jews for their own murder? Do we unfollow these bloggers, so that at least the dropping numbers send out the message that it is unacceptable to justify the massacre of innocent people?
TLDR:
This massacre is not like the Holocaust, but the cruel antisemitism that motivated it is the same. Let's not let antisemitism thrive here. Please do what you can (whatever that is) to stand for what's right.

Accepting that we are all going to repeatedly contract a virus that causes cumulative vascular damage, is accepting that the most vulnerable among us will die. Layered covid mitigations, starting with wearing a high quality respirator, says no to preventable infections and "acceptable" death.
Image Description: Dark grey and red text over a grey scale background. The background is an image of an N95 respirator. The dark grey text reads, "Say NO to preventable infections". Red text offset behind the grey text reads, "Acceptable death".

JK Rowling: I care about detransitioners and vulnerable women!
JK Rowling: Unless they’ve detransitioned because of an unaccepting and hostile environment towards trans people. Or because trans healthcare is no longer easily accessible. Or because they can’t afford the gender affirming healthcare they need. Fuck those people.
JK Rowling: I also don’t care about the women who disagree with me. Or the women whose issues intersect with trans issues. Fuck cis women who present in any way butch and are therefore at risk of being harassed in single-sex spaces. All cis women need to look exactly how I believe a woman should look. I will also side with male predators, fascists and anti-abortionists as long as they agree with me on my views. Nazis didn’t persecute trans people btw, in fact Hitler told the transgenders that they’re all so valid uwu and then personally funded their gender affirming surgeries.
JK Rowling: Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe— whom I have known since they were children— should be personally grovelling at my feet despite the fact that they are now grown adults leading busy and fulfilling lives instead of whining on Twitter all day. I will never bestow upon them forgiveness that they have not actually asked for because I’m jealous that they’re happy and content away from my shitty book series and I’m not.
JK Rowling: This is fine and I’m a good person and a feminist who definitely isn’t desperate for relevancy.
JK Rowling: I am also not part of a cult.

TPOC-Prioritized writings on anti-transmasculinity / transandrophobia
transandrophobia / anti-transmasculinity are both theories that have been spearheaded primarily by trans poc, particularly Black transmascs and transfemmes.
unfortunately, as with Everything created by queer and trans poc, particularly Black queer ppl, white trans ppl (regardless of gender, and regardless of whether they "believe" in this form of oppression or not) have coopted these theories and dominated these conversations, such that both "sides" of the "discourse" are divorced entirely from the racial connotations in which these theories were created, and the ways in which they were created specifically as an intervention against white feminism, and to highlight the ways multiple marginalizations affect the marginalization of masculinity. these are theories that explicitly interact with and can only be understood in conjunction with transmisogyny, as well as other oppressions like racism and misogynoir.
*"anti-transmasculinity" as a term and theory was coined by Black trans folks (some of whom's writings are linked below), and is specifically a theory within the context of Black transfeminism antiBlackness, and transmisogynoir, and cannot be divorced from that context. i try be very intentional about my use of the terms 'anti-transmasculinity' and 'transandrophobia' in different places here, because i do not want to dilute the former’s very particular context.
anyway, here's a list of miscellaneous writings on the subjects, with a priority for collecting writing from trans poc (not all of the authors are tpoc, but this list was intended to prioritize tpoc voices). the intention of this is not to be a be-all end-all on the subject, nor exalt any one of these individuals or pieces as exclusively ~correct~ or whatever, but to combat the whitewashed nature of these discussions online, and raise awareness to the myriad of people speaking on this subject. (nor do i claim to speak for any of them, or claim that any of them speak for me. i tried to make sure i didn't platform blatant racists, zionists, transmisogynists, or other bigots, but i'm not pretending to be 100% accurate about that.)
they aren't in any particular order (except the first one, which i think is an extremely foundational text for anti-transmasculinity theory as delineated by its creators, within the context of antiblackness and transmisogyny, and necessary reading to understand anti-transmasculinity as a theory). I tried to group all the links from the same authors together.
This is a non-exhaustive list! I will likely come back and add more writings as I find them. please feel free to recommend to me any works to include (including your own! especially if you yourself are a Black trans person or a trans POC).
Now with an Archived Read-more Link!
Racial-Class Paternalism and the Trojan Horse of Anti-transmasculinity by Nsámbu Za Suékama. if you read nothing else from this list, read this.
“But even as TME struggles escape the mainstream imagination, they persist, and are often both fueling and being fueled by the war on trans women and transfeminine people. Nothing makes this clearer than in how a Western binary system triangulates that war with Anti-transmasculinity. This is why I say that Anti-transmasculinity is a Trojan horse for Transmisogyny. Like the wooden horse in the Greek myth, it might not seem like what it is, for its actual contents and character are invisible, but at the heart of it, there is a violent campaign going on that is key to how the West aims to lay seige to its civilizational "enemies." And, like the walls of the city of Troy, materialist transfeminism has fortified the opposition to Western domination, in such a way that to overcome the stronghold requires a new strategy for the Man, one that follows up the open and vicious attacks on TMA people with a different, more hidden form of warfare.”
“today’s gender paternalism frames any manhood and masculine embodiment outside of (western) cisheteronormativity as not just biologically illegitimate but also the result of a barbaric threat to civilization. And who typically figures as the face of that barbarism but the Black trans woman? Materialist transfeminism has to theorize Anti-transmasculinity.”
"Non-Men", maGes, and Black Masculinities by genderfugitive / disrupthehuman
One such argument, which is really a collection of arguments but can be consolidated into one, is that trans men are attempting to take a place alongside cis men in the hierarchy of patriarchy. In other words, while they may not have been so before naming themselves as trans men, they are aspiring to be oppressors. This employs a number of rhetorical devices that I have identified before including the idea that trans men are “betraying” cis womanhood and therefore should be seen as threats unless they act as footsoldiers for transmisogyny. The problem with this is that it treats trans manhoods as embodiments that exist as something which merely aspires to be cis manhood.
"For Those Seeking Fight or Flight: Black Trans*feminist Nihilism" / primer on transmisogynoir by genderfugitive / disrupthehuman (not about anti-transmaculinity specifically (though it does come up), but a very good + important read on Black transfeminism & transmisogynoir, so I'm including it)
anti-transmasculinity needs its own theorizing outside of general "transphobia" by genderfugitive / disrupthehuman
anti-transmasculinity & antiblackness inherently linked (& another) both by genderfugitive / disrupthehuman

tl;dr : there’s LOTS of theory and discussions out there abt anti-transmasculinity, transandrophobia, how these things relate to other forms of transphobia, how it interacts with other marginalizations, most especially race, and the ways in which it affects transmascs. this information is everywhere. it’s out there. y’all (white ppl) are just refusing to engage with it.
#trans#lgbtq#queer#transphobia#transandrophobia#anti transmasculinity#transmisogyny#racism#long post#quasartalks#been compliling this for ages but i think it's finally at a point where i feel comfortable posting it#like i said though it is very much subject to change! i would love to add more things to this#it is extremely shitty that discussions on antitransmasculinity and transandrophobia have been dominated on here by racist yt ppl and their#token trans poc that they so clearly are just using as a shield against when ppl call them out on aforementioned racism.#anyway. dont bother clowning on this post i will just block <3#so much of this 'discourse' boils down to: transmascs and trans men (esp transmascs of color) saying: 'hey i experience this thing'#and other ppl (esp white ppl!) going 'no you don't.' it's so blatant lmao#it's just the complete denial of our Authority to talk about our own experiences. we are not trusted to be authorities on our own lives.#which. where have i heard that before. smells like racism. smells like misogyny.#also bc ppl can't read: none of this means transmascs have it worse than transfemmes; that transfemmes oppress transmascs; or that these#-experiences ONLY happen to transmascs. those are all extremely bad faith readings of these discussions.#AND ALSO to the (especially white) transmascs who also can't read and take these discussions as excuses to be racist & transmisogynist:#we cannot combat transandrophobia & anti transmasculinity without combating transmisogyny. they are linked.#anyway. good night

Today is the Memorial Day for the victims of the Bangladesh genocide.
Where 3 million innocent Bengali people (both Muslims and Hindus (as well as Buddhists and Christians) alike!) were killed by Pakistani troops and mobs during Bangladesh’s war for independence in 1971.
A genocide which Pakistan still DENIES to this day. Openly!
A genocide which was spearheaded by the killing of intellectuals and university students as well.
Just as the ottoman Turks did to the Armenians and Assyrians in 1915.
Feel free to reblog this.
I’m including the links here for more information.

Green stans finding their way into the Team Black tag trying to convince people that both Teams end up losing the war - Never not funny.
Please, read the book and try to understand that even though the Blacks didn’t win the way they expected to, they still won. They’re still standing. They actually exist.
The Dance ends with the Seven Kingdoms under the control of the Blacks (since the final battle of the war was won by them):
Aegon III Targaryen
Viserys II Targaryen
Baela Targaryen
Rhaena Targaryen
Alyn Velaryon
Cregan Stark
Jeyne Arryn
Kermit Tully
Corwyn Corbray
Black Aly
Benjicot Blackwood etc.
Where are the Greens in this whole scenario? Dead? Extinct? Cool. Justice. House Targaryen’s biggest mistake, corrected.
So, you TG stans finally get the picture? The Greens are history (not even that, since history doesn’t bother remembering them).

I am once again asking Yana Toboso to show us one of her drawings where Ciel and Sebastian kiss on the lips so it's undeniable.
like, miss Yana, our queen, please. ppl pretend like it's a father & son relationship, which to me kind of looks like they are desperate for this:
Tumblr media
surely this would be much better than the devil making a deal with a raped kid so the kid can take revenge against his rapists and people that murdered his family, and all of that for the exchange of the kid's soul. surely actual parent/kid incest would've been better and less problematic, right? right? or is the shota part the only thing that bothers antis?
how can someone ignore the creator's intentions or even cut out Sebastian and him holding Ciel's hand in the recent work as if it's only Ciel there is beyond me. like, we've seen them almost kissing through the anime and even Yana's most recent artworks scream shota, but no, it's purely platonic.
guys. be real now. why are you still in denial, yet participating in this? it's the same nonsense recycled ever since the manga was created. I've been there since maybe 2007-2008? if anything, people started screaming/policing louder. back in my day people shipped, and shipped, and shipped.
now they act like they're all grown up and know better. apparently, better than the creator herself (that I'm sure is also twice their age). 🙄

And then I also look at Coralie 6626 Planck and think, with both amusement and occasional abject terror, "this girl was absolutely raised by Tesla".
Or, in which a sketch to celebrate Part 2 coming out soon.
