to add a bit of a silver lining here to the bad animation/pacing this week, maybe i am being too optimistic, but sometimes studios have to save on budget and time constraints by sacrificing scenes in favor of others. so i don't think this necessarily means that the rest of the season will be as bad as this week, but perhaps they are saving for future episodes/scenes that they want to emphasize since they have limited assets.

There is honestly not that much I care about after this other than Dabi’s dance which is basically a long speech.

They’ll probably try to make the cour 1 finale look good - but that’s what? Giving Sakuga to Compress and Mirio? I don’t care. It’s like the nomu’s butt or the disgusting doctor’s snot-fest. It may look good but it’s not what I wanna see in this story get star treatment.

And then in Cour 2, there is literally nothing I give a shit about other than Hawks backstory chapter and the Todoroki family chapters. But since there are no fights there, those episodes don’t need much budget. I guess class a vs Deku may be somewhat interesting, but I probably won’t even watch the Villain Hunt arc.

This was the episode that they had to get right this season, and they gave it to the guy whose previous experience was the baseball ova and they hardly used any of their senior KAs. It’s a question of bad planning from the studio.

Having a thing for attractive voices can be difficult, cause sometimes you'll be low-key horny for a character who's very problematic. Like, "Music of the Night" is actually super sketchy when you look at the lyrics, but sweet mother hubbard if Michael Crawford doesn't have the sexiest set of pipes

BNHA Episode 101 “THERE’S the series I Fell in Love with!”

Hopefully my manga rant about last chapter hasn’t scared too many people off. Anyway, Bones appears to be fasttracking over the Villain arc to get straight to the Class 1-A stuff, which while I love the MLA arc - I NEED MY CLASS A FLUFFY FEELS RIGHT NOW OK?!?!

OK anyway STRAIGHT ONTO THE BAKUGOU SHIPS FEST THAT IS CHAPTER 241-242!!! First this glorious Todobaku moment OMG YESSSS

THE LEGEND IS HERE. THE SHOTO LADY KILLER MEMES ARE FINALLY IN ANIMATION.

DEKU IS FINALLY BLOOPING IN LIVE ACTION. And our caring considerate BKDK dynamic is here too. Deku finally calling Kacchan out for being un all might-y. YES YES.

THE CHRISTMAS PARTY. YES YES FUCK YES. Flashbacks to 2019 when the manga was a neverending bliss-ride of wonderful stories and nobody wore masks. I actually read this chapter in a library online. Back when you could still go in those for hours.

Bless Bones they gave Momo pants. (in the manga panel she’s pantsless.)

And I now read this chapter every christmas, and now I HAVE AN MHA CHRISTMAS EPISODE OMG I THOUGHT WE’D HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE END OF THIS SEASON TO GET THIS BUT BONES KNOWS YA’LL.

Back when Horikoshi gave us TDBKDK shenanigans for Christmas. God I miss that. But thanks to Bones WE GET TO LIVE IT ALL AGAIN WITH A BONUS FULL ON NEW MOVIE. Bones spoils us, they really do.

MHA: Season 5 Episode 13, my reaction

(Spoiler warning to those who haven't seen it!)

alright so we start things off with- wait, Tomura? are they building up the war arc already..? i'm honestly so confused at this part bcuz that came out of nowhere

media training! fun! Mt Lady and Nemuri aka Midnight returns and honestly im happy theyre back! Shoto's reaction to Mt Lady's compliments are so hilarious lmao

Izuku squirts out a small bit of Blackwhip and everyone just went 😀 "what" meanwhile Izuku himself is so proud (also he rambled for a bit lol)

ayy so it's christmas party time! i love their little themed pom-poms, like Shoto with half n half, Tooru with nothing, Izuku with a green fluffy ball, Ochaco with a pink planet, Kyouka with a music note and so on! plus i love how Ochaco is just amazed by the food

oh? Shouta's here?- ERI! Eri-chan is here with Dadzawa and she's here to have fun! she even dressed up for the occasion! man i love her and Dadzawa, it's so cute

party's over, they're now wondering abt the internships since the HSPC r making U.A bring them back. Shoto offers Katsuki and Izuku to join him over at Endeavor's agency which shall begin the Endeavor agency arc (sadly no My Villain Academia yet)

the preview seems really interesting- ofc we got the trio interns with Endeavor but then we switch over to Hawks and apparently Dabi in disguise?- along with Slide n go ig

overall, very confused abt the first part of the ep but the rest is v epic, 9/10 👍

edit : found out that the first part that included Tomura was to hype up the MVA arc and possibly teasing the upcoming war arc

Even though now it’s glaringly obvious, it never occurred to me that half the class is wearing green.

Also, compared to the manga, the animation team had a bit of fun with the Xmas tree, decorating it with Mineta’s balls, Iida’s glasses, an All Might figurine, Froppy’s frog plushie, something sparkling from Aoyama...
