WHWD: AE-Team and C-Team interaction scenario (Conner)
I would like to apologize that it took me so long to send this, was trying to figure out a scenario. The others are still a wip, so who knows when they will be sent
I like to think the scent from a candle help calm down CR whenever she’s overwhelmed with stress. AE-Conner had help CR by informing her which candle scents won’t bother him or C-Conner, but she’s afraid to light them even when C-Conner isn’t around. One day while C-Con was out and CR was overwhelmed, AE-Con encouraged her to light one of the candles while C-Con is away.
No one was aware that C-Con would return sooner that day; and while C-Con was slightly annoyed when he caught a faint scene of a lit candle… it didn’t bothered him at all. He noticed how his counterpart wasn’t bothered by it either (or he probably refuses to even acknowledge it), so no reason to get upset about it… right?
C-Con does bring it up to CR one day, and he will see how she tensed up and become fidgety while avoiding eye contact with him. C-Con is slightly annoyed because it was just a question, but if he were to use his super hearing, he’ll be able to hear how CR’s heart rate is steadily increasing as a panic attack is forming mostly because CR is recalling the time C-Con yelled at her about the candles and believes he’s angry at her again. Luckily someone (who cares for CR well-being) was there to notice the signs and intervened, guiding CR away while she quickly mutters an apologize to C-Con. C-Con is just confused now at how CR reacted. It sort of… scares him a bit to see someone who’s not an enemy, but a teammate, be afraid of him.
I'm so sorry I took so long to reply to this. I was going through personal shit but now that I'm better, I'm getting back to writing and stuff I thought I'd take another shot at answering this
I like where it's going and I really wanna love this but I just don't think that any version of Conner would be this empathetic, AE or not. But I do definitely agree with the first part. AER and AE-Conner most definitely went out for a designated candle shopping day and he almost passed out in a bath and body works.
It was interspaced with many breaks, temper tantrums and lowkey panic attacks (Conner was the one panicking not AER). So they both kind of collaborated and compromised. AER chose a scent that was barely there and also soothing to him. But since the trip, she's been very careful about lighting them. (Not out of fear but just consideration for him)
If C-Conner had calmly explained to YJR why the candles bothered him so much instead of freaking out and yelling at an already insecure version of her they probably would have come to the same conclusion.
But no such luck.
I don't think AE Conner would have helped YJR pick another candle scent because at this point, he already knows his counterpart hates any single scent and he'd be more concerned about why YJR is so panicked and anxious whenever he tries to talk to her.
It's like she's scared of him
And he realizes very quickly he needs to knock some sense into C-Conner
Basically tells him to get his shit together, stop acting like a little bitch and apologize for throwing a hissy fit.
C-Conner does not take it well but does admit that it's unfair of him to make a big deal about just lighting a candle and reluctantly agrees to apologize.
Boy, it does not go well.
YJR won't even make eye contact with him and he can practically hear how loud your heart is ramming against your ribs. The amount of stimulation disturbs him more than the scent of a candle. He can practically feel his eardrums vibrating with each beat.
YJR just wants to run away and looks for the quickest moment to cut the conversation short.
Luckily AE-Conner catches them just in time and is like "I thought I told you to apologize?"
C-Conner is just like "I'm trying!"
"Clearly not hard enough! She's terrified!"
And it's then he realizes that the heart pounding in your chest is because you were scared of him. Not because you were nervous, or awkward or shy. You were frightened. Of him in particular.
And then he realized just how badly he had been behaving and understands that when it comes to you, he needs to be even more gentle.
He doesn't want anyone to fear him. Not like this.
He offers a sincere apology and then next week YJR finds a bottle of lotion on her table. It's the same scent as her favourite candle.
"I know it's not a candle but I hope this is a good compromise."
YJR applies it every time she feels anxious and when C-Conner can smell it, he knows that she needs comforting.

Unpopular opinion about the women of Titans :
Been sitting on this draft a while but I saw yet another post claiming Kory was sidelined in s3 so yeah. That’s simply not what I watched. There was an A and B plot. Dick had the A plot and Kory had the B plot everyone else fell on either side.
Kory:
IMO she gets more to do every season. Kory in s1 was more focused on saving Rachel than anything. We should have gotten episodes about her backstory but I did really enjoy everything we learned about her via her relationship with the team. She had a good plot in s2 that focused exclusively on her it just deserved more screen-time. There was a ton of scenes of people standing around in s2 that frankly should have been cut. Kory did way more in s3 than Donna,Hank,Dawn, and Rachel. Conner too.  I think what people actually mean is not “Kory did nothing all season” but “Kory didn’t date Dick and that’s the only thing about her I pay attention to.” Like just say that. I’m still not understanding how people are claiming she was sidelined in favor of the white Titans who were barely in the season? Anyway we deserve to see more of Tamaran and her backstory.
Babs:
Can we stop pretending Babs entire plot line didn’t revolve around Dick to the point where she barely even talked to other people? She was in many many scenes but I don’t know her. That’s not good guys. That’s terrible writing actually. There’s no way people want that writing for other women right? But maybe I’m wrong here cause people seem VERY jealous of Dawn’s writing. I liked Babs for the most part and I was really hoping we’d get scenes of her with the team but nope! That isolation was annoying as hell LOL. Why did they do that? Felt like she wasn’t on the show a lot of the time.
Rachel:
Rachel got a ton of screen-time in s1 and I think they did a good job using it to to explain who she was and what insecurities she needed to overcome. S2 her story was half baked and unfocused and then she vanished in s3 so she could bring Donna back...then they had her fail at that for some god forsaken reason. Not sure why people are still crying about the show being all about Rachel or the writing focusing on her more than Kory and Gar. That was only in s1 guys. She’s just been vibing in the background ever since. That being said Rachel does manage to grow as a person every season.
Dawn and Donna:
I’ll never understand the way people talk about these two. Dawn and Donna were barely in s1. Dawn flirted with Dick and got thrown off a building, Donna stopped Kory and did nothing else.  S2 they both got a generous amount of screentime but it didn’t really do anything for them. Dawn has never once had a plot that’s about her…she just hasn’t. Her life revolves around Hank or around why things didn’t work with Dick and that’s not good no matter how anyone spins it. Donna just was angry about Garth the whole season and then died. And do we even have to talk about s3? Blink and you miss Dawn. Donna was here for a few episodes, helped a little and then she left. I don’t get what people are ever talking about when they discuss these two getting better things than other characters. Where?
Rose:
There’s not a ton to say about Rose. She was a plot device basically and a poorly used one but I did sympathize with her seeing how her father manipulated her (and literally stabbed her eye out!?). Now should it have been that damn easy for Slade to convince her to kill people? Nope! But the writers cared more about the melodrama between the older Titans than explaining the motive of one of the main villains. We got her backstory the second to last episode of the season and it was rushed so they could spend a majority of the episode on Hank’s fight club sub plot. Made very little sense bruh. Zero bars.
Kom:
I felt bad for her the entire season. It sucked writers stripped her of her villain status but what sucked more was people refusing to accept her as anything else. The amount of people who were rooting for her to have been raping Conner all season. I just?????? And when they werent praying she was sexually assaulting him and stealing his powers through orgasms 🥴… they were flat out pretending Kom didn’t exist. They didn’t care about what she and Kory were learning about each other, they didn’t care about her probably falling in love for the first time in her life, they didn’t care that her parents were abusing her and gaslighting her and Kory their entire lives. They just wanted her out of here. The writers didn’t do that to her. The fans did. The writing actually set Kom up to be sympathetic but people refused. It was ugly AF. Anyway I did enjoy her alternate story despite originally wanting her to be the big bad- where she was learning compassion, forgiveness, love, and trust. I hope we’ll see her again.
Yeah that’s all I’ve got. Hoping for some good Kory and Rachel content next season. I’m assuming Donna will be guest starring and maybe we’ll get some more character growth there.

OBVIOUSLY UNOBVIOUS T.D.
Request: I have a request ! It's kinda angsty but what if tim and y/n work together(maybe your like second in comment at WE), and y/n knows his secret, y/n is also very strong(powers or not up to you ) and Tim manages to convince her to join the Titans.y/n likes him , and she can't help but be jealous of him and Cassandra's friendship.y/n tries not to like cass but fails Bc she's just that good of a friend
Sorry it's a Tim request! Where Tim and y/n are unaware of their feelings for each other. So Tim asks cass to be touchy, more friendly, and y/n is unaffected but on the inside she's boiling , so she asks Bart to be extra flirty, and it's just one big hot mess.
Request for Tim falling for the new member of the Titans , y/n the protege of green arrow/black canary , Tim bring mad protective/jealous every time Bart flirts with her, yn being oblivious as hell
Warning: fluff, mentions of blood,
A/N: I combined three requests because they were all kinda simliar in the bart/cassie making reader jealous so I hope you don’t mind.
Word Count: 4k

Joining the Teen Titans had not been your idea. At all.
Tim pestered you for months to join his silly little band of sidekicks. You met him not long after he 'saved' you from a night of patrol gone wrong. New to Gotham and not quite understanding just how much of a hell hole it was. Avoiding Batman was easier than you thought - but Robin? Not so much.
Robin was kind to you, unlike his mentor. He always had a boyish smile for you, some explanation of the new tech he got excited over, and he never questioned who you really were. You knew that he knew your entire identity, how could the great Batman let his sidekick cohort with an unnamed masked vigilante?
You found yourself seeking his company more than seeking criminals at night. It wasn't just having someone watch your back, it was even if you didn't know who was hiding under the mask you felt like you could trust him. Robin quickly became the one person you could constantly rely on.
Robin was somehow always there when you got yourself into a tight situation. Cornered by goons that outnumbered you by a landslide, an unexpected amount of hired guns at a drug bust, even when you stumbled upon higher up criminals did he managed to be there just in the nick of time.
The reliance became almost unhealthy. Any time you were stuck in a rut you told yourself he would be there, he would always be there. And then he wasn't. In the moments that you needed him most, he wouldn't show up at all. Bloody and bruised, you'd barely make it out alive because you believed that he would show up.
It was your own fault for putting faith in someone you didn't even know the name of. Batman and Robin had their own issues, their own battles to fight - they didn't always have the time for yours.
A freezing Saturday night Batman had found you barely breathing in a dark alley. Ganged up out of the blood, trauma to the head that left you dazed and barely able to fight. It was a small gang that you thought you had taken down months ago - turns out they were just hiding in the shadows and waiting to attack.
They left you half-dead in the alley, hoping that you would have learned your lesson to not mess with them again. Instead, it made you angry - furious at them, at yourself for messing up like this. Revenge was the only thing on your mind while you tried to push yourself up to move again.
Truth was, if it wasn't for Batman showing up, you weren't sure if you would have ever made it back home alive. He took you to the infamous batcave, tended to your wounds like his own sidekick. He was silent, just as he always was whenever he saw you and Robin together. The quiet made it painfully obvious that Robin wasn't there that night.
You woke up in the early hours of the morning, still in the cave and with an unfamiliar face at your side. Dark tufts of black hair that stuck up in every direction, sharp cheekbones that could barely be seen from the hand resting on his face. He wore shorts, despite the cold that lingered in the air.
Your eyes flickered to the Robin costume that was displayed in a glass stand. Bright reds and greens that always stood out in the night and made it oh-so-easy to spot. A mask that covered only the eyes and the sculpted cheeks bones of the boy hiding beneath. It was Robin that was sleeping in the chair beside your bed, maskless and vulnerable to someone he didn't even know.
"You're awake," he spoke without opening his eyes. Sleep was heavy in his voice. The usual pep that he had was replaced with a hoarseness that had you taken aback for a split moment. Bright blue eyes met yours. You always wondered what color they'd be, but you never expected them to be so vibrant - so full of life.
"How could you have possibly woken up from that, I haven't even moved," You tried to joke. A pain rippled through your whole body. Bruises dark in color splattered against you and a tight wrap was around your ribs where surely half of them were broken or cracked. You could feel the swell in your lips, the metallic taste of blood that lingered in your mouth even hours after you were defeated. Without needing to see yourself, you knew that you were looking rough.
"You were making noises in your sleep, they stopped when you woke up," Robin informed you. Whimpers and whines from the pain that ached throughout you echoed through the cave for hours. He knew of getting his ass handed to him, and he knew just how you felt that moment. "How are you feeling?"
Tim felt guilty. He tried his best to watch over you in the ferocious Gotham life, but sometimes he hadn't made it in time. You were lucky to be alive, and if that wasn't the case he wouldn't be able to live with himself, not when he was on some stupid team-building exercise in San Francisco.
There were tons of descriptions that you could have used to describe how you were feeling. Enraged. Embarrassed. Vengeful. "Sore," you settled with. Tim nodded, by the hesitance you had he wasn't sure if that was going to be your final answer. You rubbed a hand down your face, mixed feelings running through more than ever.
The familiar feeling of bare skin met your path. No mask, no covering your identity. No surprise that Batman did so. You paused a moment before sticking that same hand out for Robin to shake. "I presume you already knew long ago, but (Y/N) (L/N)."
Tim accepted your hand, surprised at the sudden grip that you had on him in your weakened state. "Tim Drake, I assume you already put together that I'm Robin," he mocked your words. "It's nice to officially meet you, (Y/N)."
Months of trying to convince you that joining the Teen Titans was the best thing that could happen to you. Not only would you get the additional training you needed, but you would have the resources and a team. You'd get friends - and most importantly you'd get to be near Tim more often.
As annoying as his pestering was to get you to join him, it was far more adorable. He'd get this little pout on his face, bottom lip sticking out that made you just want to kiss him. You knew the reason - or thought you knew - why he wanted you to join. He was scared for you. That night in the alley when he wasn't even home terrified him.
He was going to make sure that it never happened again. Tim would be there to protect you, and if he couldn't then his friends sure as hell would. Months of bribing, swaying, hangouts, and patrol, Tim finally convinced you to join him. The time you spent together had brought you closer together as friends.
It also brought unwanted feelings that kept you up at night. The little amount of sleep that you usually got dwindled as your thoughts and dreams became consumed by Tim Drake. He was more than a friend, a partner, a teammate - he was someone that you could love for the rest of your life. Yet, he had no idea.
Joining his little band of heroes didn't help either. You spent far more time with him. Training, missions, just hanging out in the lounge of the infamous Titans Tower. He became your every living moment - along with his friends. They weren't all easy to get along with. Beast Boy, Starfire, Cyborg, they all acted like they controlled your each and every move.
Conner Kent, Superboy, as nice as he was whenever he spent time with Tim you couldn't help but feel a little jealous. Bart took a while to get used to - just as Tim had told you it would. He was nice to you, but his literal sense of being all over the place drove you nuts. Cassie? Well, she was the one that got on your nerves the most.
Whenever Cassie and Tim were in the same room together, she hung off him like a leech. No matter what was going on she was right at his side. She made it impossible to hang out with him and you had no idea why she was so possessive of him. It seemed impossible to enjoy her presence.
It was also impossible to hate her too. Whenever the two of you worked alone, she was always so incredibly kind to you. She would help you when you messed up or offered words of advice from her own mistakes. Cassie wasn't afraid to admit to you that she's messed up far more than you had. It was confusing why she changed so much around Tim.
It was annoying to see his stupid little smiles every time you were visibly frustrated with them together. It was even worse when their hugs lasted a little longer than they needed to be. Your jealousy of Cassie was getting out of hand, and that would only mean that bad decisions would be made.
><
You stood with your fist raised, ready to knock on the door in front of you. Maybe this choice was petty, maybe you were more scared to admit your own feelings than you were fighting monsters. Truth was, you just wanted to see Tim react the same way that you did when he was around Cassie. What better way than to use one of his own friends to do it?
Kon was too loyal to Tim to keep a secret. Victor and Gar wouldn't agree to it in the slightest - them being the 'responsible leaders' that they were. That left Bart Allen. Speedster. Kid Flash. As kind as he was, you didn't know him well enough to know if he would even agree to this ridiculous plan of yours.
The more you thought about it, the more ridiculous it even was. Why waste time trying to make Tim jealous when he probably didn't even think about how Cassie acted around him? Why not just tell him outright that after over a year of working together, you had caught major feelings for him?
Before you could change your mind about this whole thing, Bart's door opened. He looked ready to run out to do god knows what but stopped, confused, when he saw you standing there. "(Y/N), hey, uh," Bart scratched the back of his head. You never stopped by to see him. "What are you doing here?"
"Can I talk to you?" Your gaze turned to the end of the hall when hearing footsteps. Black and yellow cape, green shirt, of course, Tim remained in uniform even in his downtime. He met your eyes for a moment, a smile making it's way to his face before realizing that you were talking to Bart. His gaze turned to a glare when seeing how little of a space was between you and Bart.
Seeing his small change in facial expression had just confirmed that you liked seeing him jealous - if that's even what his emotion was. You smiled his way before grabbing Bart's hand and leading him back into his room. The door slammed shut before Tim could even reach it.
"What-" Bart tried to ask.
"I need you to do me a favour," Bart's room was a mess. Clothes were strewn all over the floor, unmade bed, food wrappers, and pizza boxes covering every inch of furniture. The difference between him and Tim was astounding just by looking at their living spaces. "I need you to help me make Tim jealous."
><
Surprisingly, Bart was quick to agree with your little plan. He too noticed that since your arrival to the tower, Tim and Cassie were closer than ever. If he was to notice, then surely there had to be something going on, right? Either way, it just fueled your desire to make him jealous even more.
They were small actions at first. You'd make sure that Bart would enter your room just as Tim was walking by, only to leave again moments later when he was gone. Always being quick to pair up with you for everything, only for Tim to argue that his pairing with you made more sense. Lingering hugs, watching movies together, sharing food.
Tim was quickly annoyed with Bart's presence whenever you were with him. However, he didn't bring it up. His glares, huffs of annoyance, and cold behaviour were all obvious though he never asked about your sudden interest in his best friend.
Kon, the only one that wasn't involved, but invested, quickly picked up on what happened. Tim got Cassie to be touchy the first day that you arrived. You asked Bart to do just the same. It was obvious what was going on to everyone besides you and Tim.
As funny as it was to watch, he was also getting annoyed at the lack of communication between you. According to Tim, you and him were best friends before you decided to join the team. Now, it seemed that you had never been farther apart because of your ruses.
"You and Bart got close since you've arrived," Tim was leaning against the door of your room. It had been days since the two of you had talked alone and you missed him. Keeping this fake-touchy relationship with Bart was exhausting. It didn't even seem to be worth it - until this moment.
"Yeah, he's a good guy," You peaked above the book you held in your hand. Tim invited himself into your room and sprawled across the bottom of your bed. He didn't want to hear about your relationship with Bart, but the words slipped his mouth before he could think of anything else. It drove him nuts seeing the two of you together. "Made this place feel like a home."
He didn't, at all. Truth was, you wished that you were back in Gotham, back where you didn't know you had to share Tim with anyone besides Batman. Now, with all his friends, you felt like you never got to see him at all. As much as you learned, and as thankful as you were for everything that you learned, you missed what your friendship used to be with Tim.
"You never told me you and Cassie were so close," You hesitantly spoke as a silence washed over you. Tim remainder stotic. He and Cassie were great friends, but they were never as physically close as they were now. She had been reluctant to agree to his pleas of acting closer than they really were to make you jealous. His efforts seemed all for null with your new fondness of the speedster.
If Tim were Bruce, he'd probably be able to pick up on the jealousy in your voice. Right now, he was too caught up in your own thinking about the hours that Bart spent in your room, laughing so loud that he could hear it from his room. He loathed the idea of you and Bart together.
"Yeah." Yeah. That's all he had to say? All their time together, nothing more than a single word to talk about the woman he clearly cared deeply about.
Another silence. A painful, heart aching silence that never used to happen before you joined this stupid team. It seemed that arriving had pushed you and Robin farther apart than ever before. You hated these moments, hated it felt like you knew nothing about one another, like you hadn't nearly died together half a dozen times.
It seemed that your silence in the middle of a mission was louder than these moments.
"Tim?" You asked. He was staring up at your ceiling and you couldn't help but wonder what the hell was going on in his head. No matter how close you were, or thought you were, he would always remain a mystery.
"Yeah," he repeated.
What if I moved back to Gotham? What if I asked you to stay there with me? What if I told you everything with Bart was a lie? What if I told you my feelings for you were undeniable? What if the reason I want to hate Cassie is because of you? What if...
"Nevermind." There was no point in dwelling in what if's.
><
Kori always promoted training with teammates. It was a great way to hone in on your skills, and develop a further relationship among your team. Kon was back in Smallville, Beast Boy and Cyborg were off working for their previous leader Nightwing. That left just the four of you - two of which you could barely look at.
You were infuriated with Tim. The entire week he had been brushing you off, ignoring your messages, it was like he was avoiding you completely. To make matters worse, Cassie had been glued to his side the entire time. They didn't part ways for anything it seemed.
Now, you and Bart were fighting against Tim and Cassie. Though the speedster and Amazonian had no issues with each other, it was clear that they knew to stay out of yours and Tim's way during the spar. It seemed that just as you were frustrated with Tim, he was with you.
The clashing of staffs was almost as loud as Bart's cackling as he ran around the training room. Tim didn't hold back, not at all. He wasn't surprised to see you do the same, however, he was shocked to see how much you had improved since your time in Gotham. As good as you were, you could rarely hold your own against him.
You didn't need to see beneath his mask to know that he was angry. It was only a matter of who it was directed at. Bruce, maybe. Dick. Kon. You could only dream that it was Cassie but you knew damn better than that. Likely, you were the one to have done something wrong - which was probably why he was ignoring you.
"If you've got something to say, Robin, you should say it," You gritted out as you narrowly missed the staff swinging your way. It was beyond frustrating fighting with him. Tim was impossible to get a hit laid on him, and he was constantly on the defensive with you - as if he didn't want to hit you or something similar.
"Do you really think now is the best time for conversation?" Tim flipped to miss your swing. As he landed, he knocked your weapon away in a single move, leaving you defenseless against him. The fight, as if it wasn't already, became completely unfair in his advantage. Conversation was the only thing that was going to get your the upper hand.
"Well you refuse to talk to me any other time."
His strikes became harder, faster. You needed to get his staff away from just as he did to you before he landed a hit. Tim cried out as your heel slammed against his hand. The force of it knocked the staff out of his hand and it rolled away in the opposite direction of your own.
Tim nursed his throbbing hand for a moment before raising his fists. "Didn't think you'd notice with how much time you're spending with Bart." He jabbed at you, hitting your forearm instead of his intended target of your face. You could see the two other heroes fighting from the corner of your eye - both of them getting just as frustrated but for completely different reasons.
"You're the one that invited me to this team, Drake," your foot jutted towards his chest. It barely impacted him - even though he was quick, he wasn't quick enough. "It's like the moment we left Gotham you were ready to drop me."
"Is that seriously what you think?" Tim was barely able to dodge your oncoming throws. Punch after punch you had still missed them all. He managed to grab your fist. "You obviously don't realize-"
"You wouldn't know obvious if it punched you in the face!" You exclaimed as you wound your free arm back. Tim was so taken aback that he didn't have time to prepare for the hit. Your knuckles collided with his cheekbone and the force of it had knocked him flat on his ass. A loud thud echoed through the room - enough for Cassie and Bart to stop in their tracks.
Tim's cheek was red from where you had hit him.  He didn't look angry with you - it was a spar after all. He looked disappointed, more at himself than you. Was there more to this whole situation than he had originally thought there to be.
Robin, world's second greatest detective - he should have been able to see right through everything. Just as he had asked Cassie to be affectionate when you were around - maybe you just done exactly the same thing with Bart. What kind of mess had he gotten himself into?
You stood above him, hands still in fists. In that moment you made up your mind. Staying in this damn tower was draining you and you couldn’t take it any longer.
"I'm going back to Gotham."
><
"You were right."
Tim caught you packing your bags for your return back to Gotham. To no surprise, he managed to sneak in without you even knowing. You were frozen, hand in your bag after shoving in a handful of clothing at the sound of his voice.
"I don't hear you say that very often," you snarked. He leaned on the edge of your desk, arms crossed over his chest and mask peeled off. He never wore it anymore when the two of you were alone. He trusted you too much not to. Then again, maybe you were just the only one that knew the real him under that mask.
"That's because you rarely are," he chuckled. Now wasn’t the time for his joke. "I'm sorry, for everything. Apparently, I wasn't able to see the truth until it hit me in the face - literally. Bart told me what happened, what you asked him to do. I... I-"
"Asked Cassie to do the same," you cut him off. Tim's mouth parted with shock. How could you have figured it out? Defeated, you sat on the edge of your bed. You felt like a fool for going through with such an elaborate plot to gain his affections. "She just left my room. Don't know whether I'm surprised or disappointed in both of us.
"Great minds think alike, huh?" Tim shook his head. Only a fool would have gone through such a process - and a fool he was. "What were we thinking? You're my best friend (Y/N), I know I can trust you with everything, and yet- and yet I was scared of what you would say."
"We really played ourselves, huh?" You chuckled. Tim pushed himself off your desk to take the seat next to you. He grabbed your hand, pulling it into his own lap and intertwining your fingers. His warmth crawled up your arm and spread across your entire body.
What were you thinking with this stupid plan? More importantly, how did neither of you figure out the truth sooner? Tim felt just as much of an idiot as you did.
He smiled at the sight of your hand in his. He was so caught up in trying to get silly reactions out of you that he forgot the reasoning behind it all. Tim adored you, he wanted you to be his and he should have just told you outright instead of being the scared little boy he once was.
"Come back to Gotham with me? Please?" You asked suddenly. The two of you needed a break away from the team, you needed time to figure out what these past few months were really for. Mostly, you wanted Tim all to yourself, even for just a little while.
"There's a great burger place that I found with Dick one night on Patrol. Ate so many that I could barely move the rest of the night," Tim smiled at the memory. "Go with me? On a date?"
Tim's eyes shone with hope for your answer. After going through this entire mess, he only assumed you would be willing to go on a date with him. You leaned towards him, lips barely brushing against his but aching with anticipation for more. He pressed himself into you, lips molding to yours like he was made for you.
"If it wasn't obvious, I'd love to."

also its been a long time since ive used tumblr outside of posting my writings, WHEN WAS PUTTING HYPERLINKS IN ASKS A THING?
[ i tweaked some of the ideas you offered... just read :) ]
this request killed me its so long. sorry if its weird.
[[ Summary: The wind embodies change, and with it, even the Harpastum festival must change... And you're intent on bringing the change.
Word Count: 4'855 ]]
Countless pages of sheet music, of instruments awkwardly acquired through countless means, songs written...
You looked over the mass of objects. It looked messy, but... hey, they weren't being used right now!
Harpastum had always been a great time for celebration, for bringing loud joy and exuberance... And you were in charge of heralding another change in the City of the Wind.
You intended on putting together a massive performance, a band all together to play music, and to gather Mondstadt to bear witness. However, there was a few problems with this..
You may have written all the music, but you were one person. You couldn't play all the instruments, even if you had reasonable grasp of all of them, and you definitely couldn't sing the lead part--Your voice just couldn't project well enough, as well as you couldn't hit the necessary notes.
You had a few weeks before it was time for you to put everyone on the stage... was that enough time?
... You'd have to figure it out then.
Maybe you could ask Barbara for help? She had her own concerts from time to time, as Mondstadt's Idol herself, so... She might know how to help.
... Sigh. The cathedral.
A quick walk through and a few questions with the sisters told you Barbara was taking a day off--of course, you were happy for her! She never was very good at taking care of herself, but it just left you frustrated with the fact that you truly were alone to figure this out...
You couldn't sit another minute amongst countless instruments that taunted you, so you sat on a bench, looking over the papers you carried with you...
You could take one of the spots... Whatever was left over, really, minus being the singer. Actually--you had an idea of who could be the singer, so you didn't really worry too much, that'd be the easiest of this whole ordeal... it was just... everything else.
"Yahoo! Wah-ACK!"
You jerked your head up, seeing Venti gliding right above you, then a spear shot over him, shooting through his windglider, destroying it as he crashed to the ground, rolling like a dropped sack of potatoes pushed down a hill, but just managing to jump up with a sigh.
"Dangit. Oh, hi!" He trotted over to you, as though he had not been nearly maimed by a sudden weapon, "Hey! What are you looking at?" He was still panting when he bent at the waist, not minding your personal space as he looked at the music, you panicked and pulled it to your chest.
"I-... Are you okay?" You asked, and Venti just shrugged, sitting down next to you.
"I've been worse. I just made a sister very angry at me... Nothing new!"
You looked at him oddly, only to hear the sound of feet stomping on the stone ground, and to see a sister standing over you--
No, over him.
"Bard," She said, harshly, "I could imprison you beneath the Knight headquarters this instant for this, you know."
Venti stood up, "Of course, but! Ack!" With one hand, he held onto his chest, and dramatically fell back, one hand holding the back of the bench, "You've already wounded me so... was this a suffecient enough punishment...?" He asked, dramatically rasping for death,
"Blegh..." He stumbled back, and fell over the back of the bench, his legs from the knee-down hanging over the top of it.
The woman just groaned, shaking her head and grabbing one of his legs, tossing it off to the side of the bench, hearing Venti go oomf! As he completely hit the ground, and the woman took the spot he was just sitting in.
"What do you have there?" She asked, looking over.
"Well, hello to you too, Rosaria."
Rosaria looked at your face--no emotion on her own, and she just repeated herself, "What do you have there?"
You handed over the papers, and she took, holding them with much more care than Venti ever would of--He already slung his arms over the back of the bench, his chin resting atop it so he could watch whatever you and Rosaria were doing, in a... metaphorically front row seat.
"I'm planning something for Harpastum. A... concert, like Barbara's. But I can't really find the people I need." You admitted, genuinely, and she flipped through it a little. Eventually, you noticed she was looking over the piano part.
"I see. Nothing to be concerned of, for me or for you." She set it down on the bench between the both of you, only for Venti to snatch it up, snooping through it as well.
"What do you mean?" You asked, watching Venti out of the corner of your eye.
"Well, you're not sharing anything dangerous with the bard-" She reached over, and flicked him right between the eyes.
"Owwie... you're mean." Venti pouted, for all of two seconds before he went back to reading through it all- the sheet music, the plans, the lyrics, all that.
"As well as the piano part looked simple enough... Don't bother asking the other sister," Rosaria leaned back, "But anyone who knows and has limber enough hands to keep up can play it."
"I like this trumpet part," Venti mentioned, idly, "It's... bouncy."
"Well, it's supposed to be... and if you two iike it so much..."
Both of them locked their gazes right on you,
"Would you be willing to just play a little? And-and if you like it, maybe play for the concert? it's not a big thing, I promise!"
There was a silence, before Venti shouted--loudly, "Of course! Even if it's different than normal, a bard always strives to entertain!"
He then dramatically fell behind the bench again, with a loud oomf.
You idly wonder how he's not permanently as purple as a grape from all the bumps and bruises he gets.
"... Hm. What's in it for me?"
You looked at her helplessly...
"... Conner has a special batch of wine brewing for Harpastum, meant to be drunk near-frozen... for the heat, you know? I can get Diluc to get you a bottle."
Rosaria's eyes widened.
"Wait, do I get wine too?" Venti asked, peeking over the back of the bench.
You sighed, "Everyone who performs will get a bottle of this special wine, I promise!"
Venti, again, cheered loudly.
"Hm," Rosaria hummed, "I'll try out playing the part, at least. Do you have a piano? I don't really want the other sisters to yell at me for playing such..." she raised her hands, doing air quotes, "violent music in the Cathedral."
"I do, I do," you stood up, more than a little excited, "It's at my place, come on! Fair warning, it's a bit of a mess, but it's not like I'm having the concert there."
"Meh, everything's messy at some point." Venti shrugged, and Rosaria simply said nothing, letting you lead the both of them forth...
Oh, this was all coming together!
...
By the time the three of you got there, the first thing you did was move the drums--ah, still needed a drummer, oh well. You moved them out of the way to give access to the piano, adjusting the drums to make it all the easier for whoever came next to play... and, tucked away, you pulled out the trumpet, all but shoving it into Venti's hands as Rosaria sat down.
On the piano, you set down Rosaria's part, and you placed a stand before Venti, setting the sheet music down for the trumpet there..
"Okay... Rosaria?" You looked over at her, and she just tilted her head to look at you, "How about you play your part--Venti, if you blow that in my ear, I will end you."
Venti, sheepishly, tucked the trumpet behind his back, "What? Why would I do that... Ehe..."
You glared at him, "Oh, and..." You fumbled around with the clutter, finding a metronome and setting it on top of the piano, setting it to the right beat...
And without prompting, Rosaria began playing, near slamming her fingertips onto the keys of the piano--nothing like the music that was played in the Cathedral, that was always gentle, loving tickling of the ivory keys, but this was loud and harsh, banging, as though demanding you to move.
"Perfect!" You couldn't help but shout out, making Rosaria hit a wrong key, and she jerked around to glare at you.
"... Sorry," you admitted, "But, oh my goodness... It's perfect! Please, please tell me you'll play!" You were ready to get down on your knees and beg...
She examined your expression...
"... Maybe. Assuming you can get everyone else. And I expect a sample of the wine before we get on stage."
"Of course, of course, that's-that's more than acceptable!"
"Heyyy..." Venti whined, "What about me?"
"Oh, right," Venti just withered at that statement, "Don't do that, now... your turn, Venti."
He perked up without an issue, pressing the trumpet to his lips, and you flipped the sheet music to its first page--
And it was loud, each note forced out with excitement and enthusiasm, Venti all but dancing as he played, even as both his hands were on the trumpet itself, bouncing where he stood--
The music sounded just as excited as he looked.
"Perfect!"
Once again, you made one of your bandmates [ Oh, bandmates! This is really coming together! ] jump, and play a wrong note.
You couldn't be bothered to care!
"Okay, okay! That leaves... That leaves the drums and the guitar..."
You looked at both, focusing on them... "I can play both, but..."
You sighed, withering again at the realization that you were still just at the beginning.
"Not at once..."
Venti looked over the drums curiously for a moment... And smiled.
"I have an idea-"
"You're not going to play them with your feet, Venti."
"THAT WASN'T MY IDEA... Even if it's totally a great idea. But--isnt there a particular Cavalry Captain who was raised in a rich family? They do love teaching their children the musical arts..." Venti hummed.
You stared blankly for a moment, "Kae...ya? Do you actually think he knows how to play, well, anything?"
"Duh, he's a rich boy!" Venti shouted, "Sure, Diluc is the actual rich boy, but we all know he'd rather kiss a Hilichurl than go on stage!"
... You hoped not.
"Well, I suppose it's worth a shot. Do you two want to come with me?"
"Sure!"
"I've got nothing better to do."
What a merry little band you've gotten, all parading your way down to the Knight's headquarters.
It didn't take long to find the office Kaeya was in, all three of you filtering in, all but surrounding his desk, and Kaeya looked up suspiciously, setting down the pen in hand.
"I'd ask if this was an intervention about my drinking, but none of you are able to say anything about it."
Venti, "Hey!"
Rosaria, "Fair."
You just huffed.
"No, this isn't an intervention... yet," You knew Diluc had been getting worried about Kaeya's drinking as of late, but this wasn't the time nor the place, "We have a little... performance going on for the Harpastum, and a little bird told me you know how to play a few instruments."
Kaeya's gaze turned to Venti, and he quirked a brow, before looking back at you, "Maybe... What's this performance?"
You bounced a little where you stood--this meant he might actually say yes! Maybe. Hopefully. Possibly.
"W-well, I've composed some music, it's... Not so much a ballad, but closer to how Barbara sings. It's meant to have a lead singer, a guitarist, a drummer," you nodded to Rosaria, "A pianist," and then to Venti, "And someone on the trumpet."
"So... where do you want me?"
You stared hoplessly.
"... Anywhere."
Venti lightly tapped your arm, speaking in a low voice, hiding his mouth from Kaeya with one flat hand, "Don't sound so desperate."
"I am desperate." You whispered back, less secretive about it.
"Hm... So, paint me a picture," he leaned back in his seat, "What's the whole setup?"
You, exasperatedly, explained it all.
There was supposed to be a lead singer--sadly, you couldn't take the role despite all your hard work, simply because your voice didn't work with what you needed--and behind, or perhaps, beside the lead singer was the accompanying band. The whole concert wasn't supposed to be terribly long, just to whet the appetite of the audience. If it went well, this could be a great sign for your future, and honestly, you just wanted to see the joy you could bring to others.
Kaeya didn't say anything, just humming, nodding every so often, as you spoke... until, he smiled.
"Alright. I'm in. I can take the drums--I always did like percussion... But I don't exactly have a set of my own."
"Oh!" You were beaming, "I have-I have a set, I have all the instruments at my place, and... and I can play the guitar, so..."
You lead the group, all the way back to your place, giving Kaeya a few minutes to adjust to it, and you had the guitar in your hands, and you all managed to, barely, play the first few seconds of it, before it got a little cluttered...
But if you all could already do a little together, with little to no practice...
Well, you only needed time and the lead singer, and that was the easiest of your troubles... after all, how could he say no to you.
...
"No."
Diluc had his arms folded over his chest, nearly glaring at you after you proposed the idea, and you were stunned for a second, expecting him to say yes immediately, you didn't really have a back up response in mind.
"No...?" You asked again, softly.
"I don't like being in... the metaphorical or literal spotlight. You know this."
You did, but...
"Diluc, you're perfect for the spot... And it won't be long, I promise! If it goes bad, you never have to do it again... I already have the other spots fulfilled..."
Diluc's gazed softened a little, and he looked away from you.
"You can't expect me to be your saving grace all the time," he, gently, scolded, "It's not fair for you to plan me into things without my consent."
You were... stunned.
He was right, but...
"... I know." You admitted, "I know, I know, it was selfish... but I really, really need you... Can you, just... Give me one chance? And just do this for me?"
Diluc's hands twitched.
"I'll consider it. I don't think I'd be as good of a match for the spot as you'd think." He admitted, genuinely.
"It's made for you... how about this--I get you the sheet music with the lyrics, and... you don't have to see the rest of the band yet. You can just... try it out on your own? See how it feels? If you truly hate it, then you don't have to."
There was a moment of silence, and Diluc was adjusting his gloves--a clear sign that he was, truly, thinking about it.
"Fine."
From anyone else, the word would have seemed stern, but it just sounded so soft coming from him.
"I have to go see someone... Just leave it on my desk and I'll go through it."
Oh, oh, you could only hope he'd end up showing...
Hope, hope, hope...
...
And you did hope, even if you were worried. More than once you'd come home, hearing him singing his lines oh-so beautifully, but as you tried to stealthily get closer, he always heard your footsteps, no matter how careful you were and went silent, denying he had ever once sung.
Did he really hate the idea so much?
... Didn't matter. It was time to practice, and Kaeya was setting everyone off, tapping his drumsticks together to set up a beat--
"One, two, three, four!"
And everyone was playing together--of course, it wasn't perfect, but it was good. They were managing to work together, and it sounded just as good, no, better than you had hoped... Of course it would sound better with all the parts together, instead of just each all on their own.
All it needed was a little more practice, and the lead singer.
You just desperately hoped that it was all going to end up alright.
The song ended, and Kaeya was half panting--he really did go all out with the drums, Venti even opted to sitting on the ground, and as far as you could tell, despite the fast paced music and the high demand for energy, she didn't seem to have broken a sweat.
"That's... oh boy, yeah, we're going to need practice." Kaeya said, half hunched over, "I forgot how much energy this took."
"We have a few weeks, still." You tried to console him, "Everyone should be ready by then."
"Even your mystery singer?" Rosaria asked.
"Yeah, you keep saying you have one, but... it's alright if you don't. I don't think I could take the part and drum, but I can probably find someone..."
"No, I do, I do!" You insisted.
You hoped.
Only time would tell.
...
You sat there, head in your hands...
It was today, and Diluc and Kaeya left weeks ago. Venti sat beside you, his hand on your back, and Rosaria paced back and forth.
"I'm going to kill them," Rosaria declared, "I'm going to kill both of them for ditching like this, for doing this to you. To all of us."
It seemed, maybe, she was all torn up about this... in her own way--Of course, this had bonded everyone together, but...
"I just..." You sighed, and Rosaria stopped in her tracks. You couldn't help the tears that came to your eyes, "I worked so hard... and Kaeya nor Diluc didn't even tell me where he went..."
"Oh... No, no, it's nothing bad, I promise." Venti reassured, "There was a threat... I-I can't really tell you everything, or else I'm dead, but he didn't just leave because of this, I promise."
"But Kaeya, as well?" You looked at Venti's face...
"He went with Diluc."
"How do you know?" Rosaria glared at him.
"W-Well, I helped them get a ride... It was quite a dire situation, you know!"
He was lying, but you didn't care. Maybe he was just lying to make it hurt a little bit less.
"I'm sure, once one comes, the other will be here too..."
"I can't reschedule this," you sighed, "Everyone was so excited... I can't just... give up..."
Venti hugged you close, letting you rest your head on his shoulder...
You were so caught up that you didn't even hear the footsteps approaching,
"About time, assholes."
"Hey, I didn't mean to disappear like that!"
A shadow came over you, and you lifted your head, seeing Diluc standing there--
"Are you-OOMF!"
You leapt at Diluc, almost causing him to fall back onto his ass, but he was able to hold you close, keeping you both from falling.
"Diluc... I was so scared, I was so worried..." You buried your face into his coat, "Don't leave like that ever again."
For a moment, he was silent, looking around as everyone was looking at him... But, gently, he pried you off of him,
"Hey," he said, softly, "We still have a concert to put on."
You stared at him, confused, before it all hit you at once, "Oh, oh my gods, you're right! Oh, we-we need to set up, no, no we need to practice... you two are... okay to play, right?"
Kaeya looked over at Diluc curiously, "Two...?"
"I meant, are you okay to play?" You detached from Diluc entirely, trying to focus on him.
"Honestly, I'm about ready to die, but one concert before I do isn't the end of the world." He joked, "Now... Let's get practicing. I'm rusty and I don't want to fuck this up."
"... I'll be getting things ready for you." Diluc said, feeling forgotten amongst the chaos.
"Right, and..." You pressed a kiss to Diluc's cheek, "Thank you."
It only took one more moment for you to focus back on the others, bringing them all to where they'd practice...
You wondered, was Diluc really intending on just showing up last minute?
Did he ever practice?
Well...
You were about to find out.
...
Everyone was set up. The instruments, everyone was dressed in suits--even Rosaria and yourself. Rosaria insisted she did not want to wear a dress, and you decided that since everyone else was wearing a suit, you'd wear one as well, appearing uniformly.
It was unbuttoned a little further than what was considered professional, but... hey, it looked good, even if Rosaria really looked like she was about to commit an accidental act of public indecency...
Everyone was there, except...
Him.
"Do you actually have that lead singer?" Rosaria asked, addressing the elephant in the room, "He hasn't been in a single one of our rehearsals..."
"Of course I do, he's just..." You hesitated, "He's not the most social. I promise, I promise... That he'll show."
There was a silence, you couldn't help but just sit there... Wondering in terror if, despite everything, Diluc wasn't going to show. You knew he was mad about you planning him into it without his consent, or even knowledge, but... Was he really going to punish you like this?
It was a bit cruel, but you couldn't blame him. You sat down, and sighed, head in your hands. Venti trotted over, sitting beside you and setting his hand on your back.
"It'll go great, singer or no singer." He reassured, "We've worked so hard, we can do it even if you dumb singer stands you up."
"Don't call him dumb," you scolded, lightly, "We... just... I don't know. I put him in a bad spot." You admitted, genuinely, seeing how Kaeya and Rosaria walked over, "He might be mad at me."
"Well, you're human." Kaeya reassured, "You mess up. If he can't accept that you'll mess up and cause problems sometimes, maybe he's a bit too rough on you."
"Yeah... and-I did apologize, I know I did wrong, but... We talked about it, and I'm working on not doing something so spontaneous again... But he also knows this means... a lot to me."
A moment of silence, and Kaeya got down on one knee, tilting your chin up to look at him.
"Hey sweetness," he said, softly, "It's alright. We're going to make him regret not showing, alright?"
Rosaria kneeled beside him, "We'll do it together, then I'll do it personally."
You sighed... then chuckled softly, pushing yourself to your feet.
"Thank you. With or without Mister No-Show, the show will go on." You declared... sure, it wasn't what was expected, but you can make it work..!
You hoped.
"Apologies... I'm not late, am I?"
You spun on your heel to look at who just walked in, Diluc... Speak of the devil, and he shall appear.
And, as expected, he dressed perfectly.
A fine suit, somewhat similar to Kaeya's, however even if he had just as many buttons undone as Kaeya did over his chest, exposing just enough to make it interesting... it felt so much more... taunting when it was on him.
He even had a little bit of make-up on, some blush on his cheeks, eyeliner, some bright red lipstick that matched his hair, that was done up in a high ponytail...
"Rosaria, you owe me a drink." Kaeya said, and the woman just sighed.
"I'll just pay you."
You looked back at them, barely able to tear your eyes off of him.
"What?" You asked, "Did... Did you guys really make a bet over who the singer was?"
Kaeya just smiled, "Of course. Who would it be, rather than our lovely Master Diluc?" He gestured to Diluc, who didn't seem pleased in the slightest.
"Albedo." Rosaria said, flatly. "But it figures he'd scare us all."
You had a hard time imagining Albedo singing in a concert, but you could argue the same about Diluc.
"Well, it doesn't matter," He shot a glance at Rosaria, "I hope you're ready," Kaeya spun the drumsticks around in his hands, walking back over to the drum set, "Because we're about to start."
"Shouldn't we get a rehearsal with our singer, though?" Venti looked at the concealing curtain--it muffled their conversation, but it wouldn't muffle them all playing.
"We don't want them to hear a rehearsal, we want the first thing they hear to be our best." You declared. "Diluc ... You're ready for this, right?"
You were terrified he was going to mess this up--after all ... He may not have practiced at all!
"Of course," he held your hand, "I know how much this means to you. Now... let's get this started.
...
Lights blaring, the instruments deafening him from all angles, Diluc just counted the beats in his head, trying to keep in tune with it all... Oh, he felt like he could die right here.
No dying.
No giving up.
The show must go on.
Microphone in hand, he began--
"It's a wonderful life-"
He held his hand out to the crowd,
"Please could you kiss my name,"
For the single, not even full beat he had, he blew a kiss to the audience, hearing shouting in turn,
"When the music's oh-ver?"
With the following words, he gesturing to the lights above,
"Turn off the lights,"
They even managed to flicker,
"It was such a sweet time, could you pray for me, my friend?"
He held his hand to his chest,
"It's starting over tiime,
Take oh-ver the night, take over the blue time-
If you heard that screaming shout in your miiind!
Take oh-ver the shine, take oh-ver the shooting star,
All I was talking 'bout was musiiiiiic!"
Even if he could barely even hear, the crowd just exploded before him, the lights too bright for him to see it--
But he wasn't done yet.
The concert continued until it all finally met its end, Diluc panting desperately, getting those gulps of sweet air back into his lungs, looking briefly back at the others, seeing how they, themselves, were full of excitement and joy, even Venti was cheering as though he was part of the audience--not a single one of the entire band was left without being completely exhausted and winded, and Diluc felt that the desire to crash right onto the ground wasn't exclusive to him.
The cheering from the audience was slowly muffled as the curtain closed, signalling the end of this exhausting ordeal.
They all left their instruments on the stage, and walked backstage. Rosaria was the first to start guzzling water, and then she sat down with a huff. Venti just sat down on the floor, leaving the others to nearly trip over him.
Diluc walked backstage last, after everyone else had gotten in, and he was breathing heavily.
"Diluc," Kaeya said, "Holy fuck, I didn't know you could sing like that."
"I didn't either," Diluc admitted, genuine. You jumped at him, hugging him tight.
"Diluc... that was insane! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" You cheered, and he just huffed.
"I know this means a lot to you," he said, softly, and you backed off from the hug... something about him seemed off.
He was swaying a little from side to side, like he wasn't entirely there.
"I think," Diluc said, slowly, "I just need to lie down."
Kaeya was motionless for a second, then his eye shot open and he dove at Diluc, just barely catching him before he crashed to the ground, completely limp in Kaeya's arms,
"Diluc!" You were horrified, and Kaeya just unbent his knees from catching Diluc in an awkward position. "Kaeya... what-"
"He's fine," Kaeya said plainly, shifting to haul Diluc over his shoulder better, "Big liar, he didn't outgrow this."
He brought Diluc over to a table, and you pulled out the chair so Kaeya could have him sit, positioning him so his arms were folded over the table, and he gently set his head on his arms.
"Outgrow this?" You asked, eyeing Diluc cautiously.
"Mhm," Kaeya hummed, "I guess he never told you."
"No, I'm still... confused."
Kaeya folded his arms over his chest, "Well... When Diluc gets overwhelmed, he usually hates it, right?"
You nodded,
"Then he just curls up and tries to hide from whatever's messing with him. But--If he's having a good time? He gets overwhelmed and excited and... then he just passes out. That was the code--I think I just need to lie down, he said that as a kid right before he passed out."
"But," you argued, "I've never seen that."
Kaeya shrugged, "We thought he outgrew it, but I guess he just hasn't had a chance to get that excited in a long time."
"... Do you think," you said, worriedly, "He hated this?"
"No," Kaeya set his hand on Diluc's back, gently rubbing a small circle between his shoulderblades, "He loved it, trust me.
"... He'll be okay. Just give him some time to recover."
If you looked close enough, you could see him smiling.

Top 10 Favorite Young Justice Characters
Tumblr media
10. Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle
Starting off the list is Blue Beetle. Young Justice introduced me to him, and I was hooked. He’s probably the most mellow and calming voice. His arc and relationship with Bart (friendship or not) were my favorite aspects of S2. They bounced off each other in every scene. I was very disappointed when Jaime and Bart were sidelined so much, and hope S4 changes this (particularly with Bart).
Jaime in the number 10 spot since he doesn’t really have much of a memorable personality. Still love him to bits though.
Tumblr media
        9. Will Harper/Red Arrow
Funny enough, I did not like Will. He was an asshole in S1; S2 kind of changed my mind about him but not enough since he didn’t appear as much. What really changed my mind was the episode “Private Security” (S3 Ep.4). I started looking back into Will’s storylines and, I have to admit, his is probably one of the best character development.
The first season had him unwillingly living a lie and betraying the people he cared for. In season 2 he was so consumed into finding the original Roy for five years, not even caring or focusing about his own life. I felt really bad for Will because he was probably going through an identity crisis and thought he couldn’t live his life without finding Arsenal. Probably felt guilty.
Seeing him living his own life and being happy with his daughter was so heartwarming. I smiled every time Will appeared in the latest season (totally ignoring the Will x Artemis fiasco), especially with Lian. I’m very proud of him.
I feel bad for putting him so low, yet I adore the next characters more.
Tumblr media
 8. Garfield Logan/Beast Boy
I have been a massive Beast Boy fan since Teen Titans so you probably can imagine how excited to see him. His origin story was unique and his brother-sister bond with M’gann was very sweet. It was pretty weird seeing how much younger Gar was than Dick, but I got used to it. I was bummed that Gar wasn’t in S2 as much; however, S3 truly made up for it.
After watching Beast Boy being a great leader in S5 of Teen Titans, I wanted a leader-like and more mature version of him. Young Justice truly delivered with Gar being the leader of the Outsiders. It’s nice to see him treated with respect rather than as a joke because that was my biggest gripe with Teen Titans. Though it was weird seeing him not crack a joke at all.
Gar’s story with his mom was heartbreaking to see. I literally cried seeing his reaction to revisiting his trauma in S2 and S3; I just wanted to hug and tell him how awesome he is. My only complaint with Gar in S3 was that the Outsiders weren’t established until near the end of the season.
His voice actor being Greg Cipes also gives him extra points (He’s a chill guy and radiates BB energy).

 7. Dick Grayson/Nightwing/ Robin I
Sorry to all the hardcore Nightwing fans.
I love Dick (don’t get any ideas), but he doesn’t get enough development in the spotlight. One of the things I really wanted to see from him is his growth as a main leader, and his journey to becoming Nightwing. I was really bummed when these happened between the first two seasons.
To be honest, I don’t have as much to say about him other than straightforward qualities I enjoy about him.
1.His Voice (it’s so soothing)
2.His Personality (very charismatic)
3.Very Handsome (Probably in the top 3 my most handsome YJ Men list)
I put him higher than the others since he made a lot of contribution to the story and his new words (gotta love that aster!)

6. Megan Morse/M’gann M’orzz/Miss Martian
If I made this list during S1, M’gann would have probably been in my top 3 (maybe even No. 1), but S2 didn’t give her any brownie points.
I really liked S1 Miss Martian because of her kind heart, awkward girl next door personality. Her trouble fitting in the beginning reminded me of when I was going through a time in high school; seeing her having trouble as well helped me feel not so lonely. M’gann powers were (still are) my favorite since I am a big fan of mind-like powers. I would feel so powerful. Watching her identity crisis(?) arc was great too. I’ve had trouble feeling comfortable in my own skin as well as my social anxiety (I’m a mess) and I could understand how scared Megan was of her friends’ thoughts on her true form.
Oh boy. Season 2 basically ruined her. Learning what she would do to enemies was terrifying to see and left me wondering what happened to Miss Martian that made her step this far. What she almost did to Superboy was almost unforgivable. You do not try to manipulate with your boyfriend’s mind when you guys have an argument! Shame on you M’gann. If Superboy hadn’t forgiven you then I wouldn’t have either.
Good thing S3 somewhat redeemed her. Her kind heart was noticeable again and she refused to do that mind trick again (thank god). Very excited for the Superboy and Miss Martian wedding! Please creators, I beg of you to not skip over it. I want to cry my eyes out in happiness!

 5. Kaldur’ahm/Aquaman/Aqualad
Now we’re in the top 5 with Aqualad (*ahem* Aquaman) starting it off.
Creating Kaldur was the best decision the creators ever did. I love him with all my heart!
He added diversity to the original team and was a great leader. S1 was not his breakout season, though the second season definitely was.
Kladur played the villain so well that he deserves an automatic Oscar. I never doubted that he was with the heroes, but he didn’t disappoint. My favorite part about Aqualad’s performance was when he rose from the ocean slowly like a cliché villain (he made it work), and the line he said right after he “killed” Artemis; it sent me chills. Love it!
Pretty disappointed that he didn’t appear as much in S3. Very happy that he is a part of the LGBTQ+ community and is in a happy relationship. I’m a part of the community and loved that there was finally some representation in one of my favorite shows. Even so, I have to criticize how rushed and sidelined it was. I hope Kaldur and Wyynde’s relationship gets development.

 4. Kon-El/Conner Kent/Superboy
Like Will, I did not like Superboy at first. Mainly angry and volatile characters were never really my cup of tea. I do understand why he was upset and felt bad for him; I just handle anger the direct opposite as him. My love for Conner started growing around the end of S1. He was very sweet towards Miss Martian (bless him for not caring about her appearance) and his anger was in control.
Season 2 pretty much switched my opinions on him and M’gann. It was awful what M’gann almost did to him. That scene with him being so sad that what she did ruined that special bond they had almost made me cry. I wanted to give him a hug. He grew so much too since I don’t think he would have handled the whole M’gann drama as well in S1. A lot of furniture would’ve been broken.
I gotta admit something. I almost put Conner near the bottom (maybe no. 7). A comment in a poll in Amino changed my mind. I wrote a poll asking other fans who did they prefer SB or MM. At that point I said SB, though I didn’t think much of it. Someone (specifically yjfangirl) responded “Superboy has the best development in the show.” This had me thinking about how far SB has gone. In the beginning, Conner was an angry guy who felt alone and rejected by the person who he was meant to emulate. Now he is happier and living for himself rather than to be the next Superman. He’s getting married people! A little detail I noticed when rewatching S3 was Superboy mentioning to new characters that they weren’t obligated to be a hero because of their abilities. I adored this! The main reason why Superboy was created to be Superman if the original ever died, and another one of Luthor’s puppets. But he strayed from that pressuring path and is doing his own thing. Conner doesn’t want other people to feel like he did. What an absolute pure soul.
Also, yjfangirl, first I want to say Hi (*waves*)! Then say thanks for writing that comment. It made me really think about the bigger picture with SB and my love for him as grown exponentially. You probably didn’t mean to do that, but I still want to thank you. 😊

 3.Wally West/Kid Flash
We’re in the elites now.
I don’t know how to explain it, I just love Wally. He makes me laugh, and his character growth was great. At first, Wally was this cocky flirt who didn’t take the hero work as seriously. That changed in “Cold-hearted,” one of my favorite episodes in the series. This was when I really started seeing more of Wally than being this dumb flirt. It was great seeing him actually caring about helping people since I believed for a long time that he wanted to be a superhero to just have powers rather than actually protect others. The regret in his eyes when he thought his impulsive behavior killed Perdita helped me see who he really was- this somewhat arrogant speedster who had a kind heart. Episodes that can make me change my perspective on characters are truly special.
I was very upset that he wasn’t in S2 a lot. I understand why since he gave up the life, but I was still bummed. Seeing him being so loving and protective towards Artemis was amazing. Spitfire is my favorite ship and I will not give up on them. All I want is a happy ending! The penultimate episode of S3 was a hint that it will happen. Watching the S2 finale was heartbreaking, I cried watching him disappear, his love for Artemis being the last things he said. Artemis’ reaction did not(I just wanted to hug her).
I have more to say, though I’m leaving it for another post. 😉
Tumblr media
 2.Bart Allen/Kid Flash II/Impulse
Picking between Bart and Wally for second place was tough. Took me a while to decide; I’ll talk about it later on.
The moment Bart made his appearance, I absolutely adored him. He is amazing and I live for his hyper, fun attitude. His arc and relationship with Jaime were my favorite aspects of S2. What can I say, their chemistry is great to see.
That scene when he was meeting the Flash family was so adorable. His excitement was infectious and spoiling his dad and aunt’s births was hilarious! I watch it occasionally whenever I need a good laugh or reason to smile.
Unlike most time travelers- at least the ones I’ve seen- Bart was very involved with what was going on and befriended his biggest enemy- evil and weirdly huge future Blue Beetle. He was pretty careful about disclosing very important information and took things very seriously. You never know if disclosing everything was the thing that brought the world to chaos.
What I found interesting was his choice on how to interact with everyone. He seemed pretty gloomy in the future, but decided to portray this cheerful, devil-may-care attitude to be more likable. I understood (still kind of do). I had terrible mental health issues and I pretended to be happy in front of loved ones because I thought they wouldn’t care about me anymore. Bart got some brownie points for that.
I was dissatisfied when his role was greatly reduced. I wanted the creators to go further with Bart by revealing his past and how it affected him. He was pretty much comedy relief. You couldn’t imagine how disappointed I was, especially with it involving my second favorite character. Season 4 better change that.
I know that you shouldn’t assume a character’s sexuality, yet I really hope Bart is gay. There needs to be more clear representation and Bart can be one of them. I’m also a Bluepulse and Bartuado shipper (fine with either one as long as Bart’s bond with each of them stays strong).
Anyway, I mentioned that I would explain why I chose Bart for 2nd place over Wally. It mostly stems from wishful thinking. I really want S4 to have Bart as a main character since I believe the future will be strong plot point in the season. Development could surely happen such as Bart opening up more about what he went through. Let all those feelings go.
I’m going to write an article on my hopes for S4 when a release date is announced. Bart and Wally will most definitely be talked about.
 …..
We are finally near the end!
And my No. 1 favorite character is…
Drumroll please!
..

1.Artemis Crock/Tigress/Artemis
That’s right people!
Artemis Crock, original member of the Team and daughter of villains!
She is such an inspiration to anyone who wants to go their own past without their parents’ support.
It’s hard to describe how much I love Artemis. She’s brave, strong-willed, and a kind person. It’s crazy how great of a person she is after all the terrible things that happened to her. I look up to her because I don’t have a healthy relationship with my parents (verbal and mental abuse) and there are times I don’t feel strong enough to stand on my own. I want to carry the amount of strength Artemis has as my own.
After all that happened in S2, it was amazing to see Artemis come back to the team and train the new generation. It must have been hard to walk away from a safe, comfortable life for a chaotic, dangerous life. I admire that in everyone, but I hold more respect for Artemis since “the life” “killed” Wally. I wanted to hug her so bad.
She’s also one of the kindest people in the show, the events in S3 being the best example. When Zatanna was crying about her dad, Artemis was there to comfort her. It was so sweet! Roy and her also took in Halo and Terra like they were a part of the family; the archer treated them like the best big sister. That rainstorm scene was heartwarming to the core.
Wouldn’t Artemis be an amazing mother? Lian and her have a strong bond like a mother and daughter; I loved it, and Lian is in good hands with Roy and Artemis. Though Jade deserves a chance to be a mother. Artemis also seemed to enjoy taking care of those kids in that S1 episode. Wally too. You guys know what I’m guys insinuating. 😉
Get ready for some fanfics on that someday.
My favorite Artemis-centered episode was the second to last episode of S3. I was waiting for this episode centering around Artemis missing Wally and learning to move on. It was great yet heartbreaking. Nothing bad happened. That Will and Artemis kiss never happened. Everyone makes a mistake. No matter how terrible it was.
Anyway, seeing Artemis and Wally living their lives and having a baby gave me life, even if it was fake. It was a vision of the future. I will believe this until there is confirmation that Wally will not come back.
Did anyone else cry when Artemis was so desperate to, but Wally wouldn’t let that happen (the real Wally would do that)? They are a great example of a healthy relationship with all the love and support they have for each other. I want that.

it wasn’t power i coveted; it was acceptance.
Titans 3.06
y’know, i was just thinking the other day that 1.06/1.07 and 2.06/2.07 were the best episodes of their respective seasons, so i have great hopes going in to this one. fingers crossed!
as always, typing this up as i see the episode.
SPOILERS AHEAD
1. oh! um... that was a Cold Open, all right. *nudges* get it? cold? because it’s snowing? and two people got murdered in cold blood? eh?
... oh, i’ve just started.
1.5. i wonder if “i want to be sipping pina coladas on a beach with you” is the new “i’m just one day away from retiring.” i was so on edge after that--i kept expecting that car to explode. even so, the way they died wasn’t an anticlimax: brutal, and quick.
1.75. so i’m assuming that’s the titular lady vic! this show better bring up why this doll was important or why these two cops needed to be killed, and not leave it to the ether like jericho’s little mindscape jaunt in 2.08 (i’m still dying to know what that was about???)
2.
Tumblr media
i love how deliberately unappealing wayne manor is.
(sorry for the pic quality. i don’t have hbo max! ssshhh.)
2.3. i love the many references to “home” and “our house” when they’ve been here for less than a week and saw one of their friends get blown into pieces. i mean, i unironically love it: home is where family is, after all!
2.5. i’d like to say that kom is playing some sort of long game here, especially given the build-up we had last season and some of the more niggling details this season: why did kom choose now to use her bond to lure kory when she’s been on earth for months? why did justin call kory now, just around the time that she started getting kom’s visions? and what about kom’s ability to exactly imitate other people? hmmm.
2.75. the reason i wrote i’d like to say is that i’ve made the mistake of assuming plot complexity where there is none; i was so invested in the jason todd orchestrated his own death theory for instance, when it turns out that oops! ra’s al ghul just happened to leave a little lazarus puddle in gotham, and oh yeah! scarecrow just happens to have a network of henchmen working for him on the outside and a fully functional laboratory and a weapons cache fit for a new supervillain in the basement of the high security psychiatric unit/prison that he’s in!
(no i’m not bitter, why do you ask)
2.8. iiiii don’t know what to say about the implications of sex slavery being a thing on tamaran, so i’m not going to say anything at all. for now.
3. gotham, six years ago... wasn’t it five years before s2 that jericho died and the titans disbanded? and when was the flashback from 1.06 where dick let zucco die? i think it was after the events of 2.08: jericho? i can’t seem to find any transcripts or reliable information online, so i’m going to have to rewatch 1.06 at some point.
(i love the old-fashioned batman music in this heist scene)
3.5. “security is a joke... it’s my way of keeping my dad on his toes”. what you’re an ethical thief now, like an ethical hacker? i don’t think that excuse is going to sell, barbara, on the day you do encounter a decent security system and your father is forced to arrest you.
(then again, gotham’s security is piss-poor. did you know that you could just walk into arkham asylum without any official clearance, ply one of its most dangerous inhabitants with contraband, and said inmate could get away with having an entire laboratory and weapons cache--NO I’M NOT GOING TO LET THIS GO)
3.8 so that flashback between dick and barbara was really cute! and also illuminating:
a) dick sounds so light, so... um. look. i have some apologies to tender to mr thwaites, because while i’ve always thought he does a fine job as dick grayson, i’ve never been terribly fond of his cadence as he delivers dialogue. it’s often monotonous, i thought, but then again, he’s usually delivering exposition or dealing with one soul-crushing crisis or the other. so i was pleasantly surprised to hear dick sound so carefree and alive in his conversation with barbara, laughing frequently, his emotions so bare and bubbling to the surface. it’s really a fantastic contrast to the traumatised and world-weary dick grayson that we see now, even more so than the costume department just bunging a backwards-baseball cap on mr thwaites’ head and hoping that will convince us of his relative youth.
b) and god, when he wakes up from that memory, all alone in his bed, bleeding from bullet holes in his shoulder (bullet holes that are--in a somewhat convoluted way--barbara’s fault)? yikes. it’s great. you have my apologies, mr thwaites!
c) can you imagine dick just... crawling back to wayne manor, trying not to be seen by anybody, shedding his suit and just... collapsing onto his bed without even tending to his wound? the sheer emotional and physical exhaustion of it?
d) it’s so interesting to see how barbara and dick approach the idea of legacy--a big theme on the show!--in this flashback. barbara is the one bucking the idea that she should follow in her father’s footsteps, while dick seems pretty content with the batman-and-robin setup, and even tries to get barbara to join their team (robin-girl. pfffft). obviously after this several traumatic things happen wherein dick ends up questioning and then resenting his role as robin, his relationship with batman or even returning as a vigilante at all. and barbara... ends up replacing her father as commissioner. it’s tragic, really.
e) the dynamic between dick and barbara in the flashback reminds me of how it was between dick and donna in 1.08 and even between kory and dick in early s1. it’s like having an older, strong-willed woman by his side means he gives over the steering wheel for a while and lets himself... unspool, a little bit. it’s kinda endearing.

*pinches his cheeks*
3. you know, we talk about dick and Eldest Daughter Syndrome, and that’s definitely valid, but here gar seems to me the embodiment of it, with all the emotional gardening and firefighting that he’s expected to do. he’s kind of the guy expected to keep his shit together and take care of everyone else while they are falling completely to pieces, unable to carve out time to process his own trauma. he’s also picked up dick’s and kory’s tendencies to bottle up their struggles and shun appearing vulnerable, and he’s struggling in the shadow of both dick and kory undergoing acute crises, his best friend (and frequent confidante) on the other side of the world, and seeing hank die, utterly helpless to stop it.
i’m glad that he got a chance to tell dick even a smidgeon of what he really feels, and i hope this is at least a semblance of a wake up call for dick to actually sit down and work with the people he repeatedly calls family.
3.5. it’s heartening to see that dick immediately makes it his priority to go talk to gar. but don’t blow off kory in the process, man!
4. i’m really loving this dynamic between kom and conner--i get the idea that both of them consider each other as Unknowns, alien two times over. but conner’s only ever known the titans, who embrace being different, and kom’s only ever known... well.
anyway, kory is Really Stressed, and honestly? #relatable.
Tumblr media
when you’re forced to bring an estranged family member to hang out with your friends...
4.5. i love that the titans are spending so much time in the kitchen. a real family!
5. jonathan crane is a creep and i absolutely cannot stand him.
5.25. how did he get a whole lab setup (in the basement of a hospital...?) with a bunch of whitecoats to work for him? how did he just waltz into the viewing room of an operation theatre when he’s one of the most wanted men in gotham right now? why is jason wandering around maskless when--presumably--as the adopted son of the most famous person in gotham he’d be a tad more recognisable than your average joe?
why do i expect this show to answer anything anymore?
5.5. that’s not necessarily a criticism, mind; i’ve said since season 1 that titans is very comics-like in this aspect, all about the Aesthetic and the splash-page splendour rather than the niggling unimportant details of how or when the characters got to said location. like. the camera gliding over the operation being set-up, lady vic bursting in and doing her murder dance (imagine the luck of the poor intern who chose this day and this surgery to assist) and jason, shocked and slack-jawed, framed by blood.
5.75. it’s a sobering reminder for jason that, though he chose this path in order to gain control over a world that seemed like it was rapidly spinning out of his grip, he’s only succeeded in handing over even more control to a man with an agenda that is very clearly not aligned with his own. he’s in too far to stop now, though.
5.9. i have a lot more thoughts about jason! saving it up for the end of this recap, though.
6. more kitchen time! i better see dick do some cooking soon...
(”our kitchen”! it still delights me! kitchens are So Important)
6.25. so much of dick’s issues have revolved around his relationship with bruce, so it’s completely understandable that in the wake of a huge crisis where bruce literally asks dick to replace him and be a “better” him, dick would default to all the worst things he learned from the man. and i’m glad kory’s having none of it, but come on, guys. the woman’s literally fetched her fratricidal sister out of a hole in the ground with no idea what said sister is going to do next and experiencing a burgeoning sense of guilt far, far beyond her history with the titans, and dick’s too far into his autocolonoscopy that he can’t see that she needs help.
6.5. “he services your urges”--well, as far as we know, kory is the last person he had sex with...
7. “i hope [gar] isn’t angry with me...” SIR! i thought you’d already spoken to him! smh, as the kids say. kory wouldn’t be needing to reassure you if you just took the effort to build two way emotional relationships with the rest of the team. @superohclair was taking about dick’s relatively low emotional intelligence? i agree.
7.5. “i got my own problems [...] you and barbara? fix it.” YOU TELL HIM, KORY
8. man i really like this weird, sad tension between dick and barbara--this sense that both of them are approaching the other based on how they remember them and are ultimately disappointed by the truth. barbara thought she could trust dick to... well, be a better batman, but dick has not only failed at that in her eyes, but repeatedly undermined her while exploiting the authority that she gave him. in dick’s eyes, this is nothing like the barbara that he knew, rebellious and ready to do whatever it takes to find something.
like. this show sometimes really hits me in the chest about the ways it shows kids grow into adults and into caretakers, and the way it’s stop-start, the ways nothing can happen at all for a long time and then it’s Crisis Central all at once and there’s no space to breathe. the weird sort of sadness that comes with nostalgia.
8.5. oracle name drop! i agree with barbara, any system that can just randomly tap into gotham phonelines is a monster.
8.7. (i don’t know if it’s my imagination, but is dick holding himself... differently in this episode? like that wound is definitely bothering him, and he’s running on fumes)
9. man, that was a really sweet scene between kom and conner. “feeling alien in your own world”... “not quite here nor there”
honestly this team runs on conner and gar’s faith in their value as a family, and it’s a sign of conner’s generous heart that he extends that opportunity to blackfire. this arc of maturation for him, where he’s now able to consciously choose which parts of himself he can use to do the thing he wants to so--save people--has been so fulfilling to recognise. this baby’s grown with the titans! and what he’s learnt is that people can get fucked up, but the titans is a place where they can be fucked up, and grow.
Tumblr media
MY MAN CONNER
10. oh man i’m drinking in the gar-dick interaction in this episode like i’m three days into the desert and it’s the only source of water for miles around!
a) gar is absolutely not dealing with dick’s bullshit this episode and I LOVE IT. it’s such a far cry from the man who was idolising dick/robin back in s1 and expecting him to solve all their problems. dick is fallible, dick is fucked up, but he Tries His Best and that’s ok.
b) dick, huffing and puffing through that vent, unable to put any pressure on his left shoulder, trying to have a heart to heart with gar... fuck i love this asshole.
c) bruce took in a kid who was suffering... “and made him into a weapon”. well. i absolutely agree with dick that it was bruce who put these kids into these horrible situations with him and they came away with a bucketload of trauma to add to the one that they already had. but we know that bruce was really trying with jason, and at the end of s2, dick was coming to acknowledge that bruce had offered him something that wasn’t just darkness. jason’s death and bruce’s reaction to that shattered that fragile progress.
d) “gotham got to me too.” i feel more sympathetic towards dick running off on his own than most, and it’s not just because i’m an unapologetic stan.  we’ve seen before that dick... devolves when overwhelmed, and he lashes out and makes ill thought out decisions and just Does Not Deal. it happened after hearing the news that deathstroke had returned in s2, and it didn’t help that everyone around him was reeling at the news, either. this time, however, he has his salvation in his family, and despite some stupid decisions like running off and kidnapping supervillains without telling his team, he’s been really on the ball this season. thinking clearly and logically, holding it together and working on a plan, thinking two steps ahead of the villains... yes.
e) gar needing to believe that jason isn’t beyond redemption... there’s a lot of blood on his hands, too, from when he was manipulated by cadmus last season. it makes sense why he’d relate to jason’s predicament, and i hope dick picked up on that.
f) my head just added a plaintive ow after dick jumped feet first into the storage room
i need, crave gifs of this scene!
11. *sits on hands* i’m going to talk more about red hood, i promise!
12. more gar and dick! is it my birthday??!!
(actually, according to the tamil calendar, it is my birthday! my “star” birthday)
12.5. excellent. dick using some implausible training that bruce taught him to solve a mystery? passing some of that knowledge onto gar? that proud smile when he sees gar perfectly execute moves that he taught him? MY HEART IS EXPLODING
Tumblr media
13. aw, i love flashback!dick and barbara, they’re so cute <3
13.25. why does it not surprise me that the way he proposes a relationship to barbara is by saying “we make sense”? this guy can deduce exactly who was present where and what weapon they were holding from a garbled audio recording but other times he’s utterly clueless, and that’s a consistent character beat right from s1
13.5. so.... that’s why lady vic has it out for... barbara....? i don’t get it. it’s flimsy. but hey! the fun thing about titans is that i don’t have to get it. the payoff has nothing to do with the plot.
14. i can’t believe that barbara fell for that, but at least that wheelchair fight looked awesome, so.
15. oh yeah, i forgot that red hood bullied the mob into helping him and scarecrow... at least that explains the whitecoats and the elaborate set-up.
15.5. honestly i love how this dynamic between kory and kom is developing, though i wish more of the team would pay attention to it. time to call justin, i think!
16. i wonder what happened after that second flashback where barbara got hurt during that heist. did she give up on doing any more (maybe jim caught her)? was it because dick was called away by bruce and then the titans and got caught up in his own issues? maybe barbara froze him out because she wasn’t looking for the relationship that he was looking for? maybe the idea of doing that with someone turning into batman-lite was just... unappealing? scary?
whatever it is, it doesn’t look like dick ever processed the end of that relationship. it’s very intriguing to see where their dynamic goes next.
17. so.... what, did vic deliver some fear toxin to barbara? i... what?
17.5. and i TOLD YOU that they would never explain that doll or why vic attacked those two cops at the beginning! oh, titans. never change.
18. did jason just randomly have tim’s restaurant burgled? god, i’m feeling a bit nauseous... are they going to kill tim’s father?
18.25. i feel like the rest of the season is going to wrestle with jason’s culpability in the horrible stuff he’s doing and i’m already seeing that prospect divide fans. on one hand, his story is taking a lot of oxygen away from other equally interesting story arcs, and he’s done some truly awful things, like indiscriminate murder, threatening to kill children, blowing up hank, and potentially killing tim’s parents.
there’s something to be said for the kind of hold that crane has over him, and the so-called ‘anti-fear’ drug that he keeps plying jason with--he’s alone, drugged almost constantly (to the level of dependence), fresh from the trauma of being bludgeoned to death. he hasn’t conquered fear; he’s ruled by it. on the other hand, given that he’s the one character on the show given an obvious and identifiable ‘mental illness’ arc (maaaaybe dick too), one can argue that it’s irresponsible to show this progress into such violence: jason was vulnerable because he was struggling, and that left him vulnerable, but it took only a push before he became a fucking serial killer.
but that could mean we underestimate the degree of that vulnerability, and the mechanics of this universe where he fell into the clutches of the one supervillain perfectly designed to exploit that vulnerability. that helpless spiral into further and further self-destruction is all too real. it’s valuable to know that someone who has sunk that low can still seek help--actual help--and get it.
18.5. i don’t know. it’s not a question i’m going to resolve at the end of an overlong recap at 1 in the morning. i don’t believe it’s even a question that titans can resolve. but i am interested in where they’re going next with jason.
19. this episode was genuinely great! i’m pumped for the rest of the season!

The Murder of King S'turnn: Whodunnit?
You know what intrigues me so much about this new season (aside from it being marketed in segments/arcs)? The fact that there's a genuine mystery playing out in the narrative that isn't connected to the Apokolips vs. Earth war that everything's been building up to for four seasons now.
(Well... at least that's how it appears so far, but I'll get back to this)
We've only seen three episodes so far, and while they gave us a lot of information, they haven't quite given us enough to draw super-clear conclusions about the ongoing murder mystery yet.
Regardless, I still want to try to figure it out because why not?
Let's start with the general information that we've been given:
we're told the king was progressive
the king was killed around the time when M'gann, Conner, Gar, and J'onn left Earth
no one knows who the killer is, or what their motives were, implying that the killer has mental blocks/filters on their mind to prevent anyone from figuring them out
his death worsened the divide between the G'arrunn and A'ashenn
we're told the queen rolled back most of the king's progressive reforms, but we're not told (or shown) why she did so
Now, with all that being said, let's go over the possible suspects.
R’ess E’dda
Tumblr media
So, from these three episodes, we know that R'ess E'dda is rather aggressive, racist towards A'ashenn, against the late king's progressive societal reforms, and he doesn't want any further connections between Earth and Mars to be established (to "preserve Martian culture").
Based on all that we've seen of him, he appears to be murder suspect number one; after all, with the progressive king dead (and the zeta tube gone), there's a higher chance for all his progressive reforms to be undone and the established caste system to remain untouched.
However, I don't think he's the killer. Simply put, he’s too obvious a suspect; I know that in a lot of murder mysteries, the killer is usually one of the first suspects we meet in the narrative, but it's most likely that he's just a red herring. The zeta bombing obviously didn’t disturb him, and the timing of his protest did conveniently coincide with the bombing, but I think it’s just that: a coincidence. Frankly, it'd be far too easy, and boring, if he was the killer.
M'comm M'orzz
Tumblr media
The other obvious suspect would be M'comm, especially since we've actually seen this guy in action before. M'comm is angry and aggressive (which makes sense, knowing what he's had to live through in Martian society, and even in his own home), sadistic (he was more than ok with killing meta teens, exacerbating tensions between the New Gods and the New Genesis bugs, and planning to commit genocide), and he looks down on virtually all other races and species. Additionally, he's keeping a part of his mind locked away; there's a chance he knows something about the king's death and he's not sharing it with anyone.
All of this would make it seem like he'd be the most likely person to kill the king (and if he were against the king's reforms, he probably would've killed him), but like R'ess, I think he's also just a red herring. If we take his and Ma'att's words at face value, the king was progressive and tried to slowly mitigate the caste system and give A'ashen more rights/freedoms, which is exactly what M'comm wants; why would he kill the man who was working to give him everything he's been fighting for? M'comm has nothing to gain from the king's death.
Em'ree J'onzz
Tumblr media
We don't know too much about Em'ree, aside from the fact that she's the chief scientist on the zeta tube project, she changed her name (the reason why still isn't very clear), her relationship with M'gann is tense, she was married twice before, she was supposedly considered as a "popular girl" growing up, and she's not racist towards A'ashenn or other species like most other G'arrunn.
The chance that Em'ree is the killer is very slim since she seemingly has next to nothing to gain from the king's death; she's not the type of person to be against his reforms, and she has no other apparent agenda that would be satisfied by killing the king. Granted, we have no idea what's going on in her head (yet), but based off of what we've learned about her so far, it's highly unlikely that she's the culprit.
Priestess S’yraa
Tumblr media
We know even less about S'yraa than Em'ree, but I'm actually not as sure about her innocence as I am about the latter (but only slightly). We know that she was originally G'arrunn, she used to be betrothed to/involved with Prince J'emm, and that she believes in being the change she wants to see in the world.
My instincts are telling me she's innocent, and that's most likely the case, but I think there's still a small chance she's involved with, or at least knows something about, the king's death. (again, I'll bring this up later)
Queen J'alia
Tumblr media
The first thing we hear about the queen is that she rolled back a lot of her late husband's progressive reforms, which would imply that she's conservative/racist towards A'ashenn (and possibly other species). However, when we finally meet her, she says and does things that go against that initial impression; she's the one who orders Em'ree to work on the construction of the zeta tube, she expresses her concern for the Earthlings' well being after the zeta bombing, she dissuaded the protestors from trying to stop the zeta tube test, she seemingly believes in establishing a peaceful relationship with Earth, she didn’t label M’comm as a terrorist like R’ess did (“He was an A’ashenn activist and agitator”), she knows that not all humans are bad/that the true danger is Apokolips (and those who conspire with the enemy), and she’s ok with the Earthlings solving her husband’s murder. If she really is open-minded like she’s shown to be, then why did she roll back those positive reforms? Either she's not what she appears to be, or her husband wasn't as progressive as everyone believed.
There is a possibility that she is guilty of killing her husband, either to seize the throne for herself or because she disagreed with his acceptance of J'emm's relationship with S’yraa, but then why would she bother putting up a caring, open-minded front (aside from fooling her son)? She could've just implemented her own conservative legislation without caring about how the A'ashenn perceived her. Her behavior and actions don't really align with what we've been told about her, or her presumed motives.
Prince J'emm
Tumblr media
And now we can finally talk about the Prince.
Considering that I've pretty much eliminated everyone else as a suspect (save for the queen), it shouldn't surprise you that I think J'emm is the primary suspect.
From what we've seen of him in these last two episodes, he seems pretty nice; he's seemingly progressive, he's cordial with M'gann's family, he offers to help with the pre-wedding ritual, he saved Gar, he recruits the Earthling into solving his father's murder, he offered his advice, and he was involved with S'yraa, a seemingly progressive woman herself.
He comes off as someone you should trust... and that's precisely why some people are suspicious of him; either he really is a nice person who's just hiding a dark secret, or he's putting up a front to throw off suspicion. Either way, he just seems too genuine, y'know?
Also, he involves himself in the murder investigation by recruiting outsiders to solve the case, and he even directly provides Conner and Gar (not M'gann) with the info/evidence they need. Doesn't this seem exactly like what B'arzz did to M'gann in season two? There's a chance he edited the memories to exclude any evidence that points to him. Plus, the fact that M'gann wasn't present might lend to this possibility; as far as we know, she's one of the strongest telepaths in existence, so she surely would've noticed something was up with the initial info transfer.
On top of all of this, there are two moments that stood out to me:
After the zeta bombing, he asked the queen if there’s evidence against M’comm as the culprit; yeah, he could’ve just been inquiring if M’comm really was responsible (to know if they’d be imprisoning the right bomber), but he also could’ve been pinning suspicion onto a known terrorist who was present at the scene
Before he left the scene, he paused to side eye the queen when she said “I hope the Earthlings are not reacting negatively to this turn of events (the bombings)”. Why animate this moment if it’s meaningless? Why didn’t he just leave? This might not prove he's guilty, but it does mean something; I can feel it
If J'emm is the killer, there's a good chance that the death was an accident (or at least not premeditated); maybe the king wasn’t as ok with his relationship with S’yrra as we'd expect, and J'emm accidentally killed him in a fit of anger or during a heated fight. If this is the case, then S’yrra is either completely ignorant to J'emm's actions, or she knows what happened and is hiding the truth to protect him (this could also work inversely; what if S'yrra accidentally killed the king, which led to her becoming a priestess, and J'emm is trying to cover up her involvement to protect her? It's a long shot, admittedly, but still...)
Now, there is one more suspect left to talk about, but there's not much I can say about them.
Tumblr media
We don't know who this is, but it's implied that this is the guy the Legionnaires have probably been after for the past year (Saturn Girl was the waitress who refilled either M'gann or Conner's coffee in last season's finale). We can assume that this person (or someone associated with them) has been following M'gann, Conner, and Gar around, caused the cave-in at the sacred river, sabotaged the zeta tube, blew up the Earth/Mars comm-sat, and apparently knows about the Legionnaires.
Their motives are really unclear; are they trying to kill someone (they've had many opportunities to kill the protags so far, so I don’t think this is the case)? Are they planning on ruining the wedding? Are they related to the Apokolips v. Earth conflict? Or are they a threat from the future?
There's a chance they had a hand in the king's death, but to what extent? Did they orchestrate it? Help the killer cover it up? What was their motivation for killing him? We just don't know enough about this mystery threat, or their goals, to know for sure. For all we know, they might not be involved in the king's murder at all!
And that's all I got! I'm pretty sure none of this is news to most of you, since you guys were probably thinking about all of this already. But, if you haven't (or hell, even if you have), what do you think? Who do you think murdered the king? Do you think we've even met all the suspects yet?? (probably, yeah)

Damian was fighting to keep his eyes on the road and his heart in his chest. Next to him sat Raven, looking so damn pretty it hurt to breathe, and he found himself wanting to stare at her the whole ride to the animal shelter. He glanced at her from the corner of his eye and saw a lock of hair had fallen from her bun, brushing against the curve of her cheek. His fingers itched to brush it away, but… right. They weren’t those kinds of friends.
For the hundredth time that night, he silently promised himself he was doing to keep his heart intact. He might have been head-over-heels in love with her, but that didn’t mean she loved him back, and he wasn’t willing to risk his own feelings just yet. Damian cleared his throat and shifted in his seat, his hands gripping the steering wheel so tight that his knuckles turned white.
“So.” He needed to talk, if only to fill the silence that was growing between them. Otherwise the rest of this night was going to be painfully awkward.
Raven turned and looked at him, her lips pulling down into a frown. “What?”
“How’s your senior thesis coming along?” School seemed a safe topic, so he’d stick with that. “What was it on again? Emily Dickinson?”
Raven’s face fell and she turned to look at him, obviously insulted. “Do you think every female literature student does their senior thesis on Emily Dickinson?”
“I don’t know. I’m not a literature student.” Damian tried to sound nonchalant, as if he didn’t really care, but mentally he was kicking himself. Honestly, he couldn’t remember what she said she was working on, because every time she started talking about it, her eyes lit up and she got this excited almost dreamy expression on her face, and Damian got lost in her. She was easy to get lost in. He bit the inside of his cheek and looked over at her, forcing his expression to remain neutral. “You’re applying to grad school, right?”
“Yeah, actually.” She looked surprised that he remembered, and fidgeting with the strap on her purse, as if suddenly nervous. “I submitted my application last week. But, I have a few more weeks before I find out if I got into the program.”
“You know you’ll get in.” Damian stared up at a red light, refusing to look at her. If he did, he knew he’d forget everything he was supposed to say to her. How in the world could she break him like this? “I don’t know why you’re so worried. You’re the smartest, most inspired student in the whole program.”
“Was that… a compliment, Damian Wayne?” Her voice was teasing, almost playful, and it made his stomach twist. Raven shifted and stared out the windshield, a small smile playing on her lips. “We’ve been fighting each other for the better part of four years, and you actually complimented me. Well, shit. I guess I owe Conner ten bucks.”
At the sound of Conner’s name, Damian frowned. He remembered Conner’s soft touches and soft, lopsided smiles at Raven, and Damian shifted in his seat. Maybe there was more to their relationship. “Are you two… together?”
Raven snorted. “With Conner? No.” She glanced back at him, her dark eyes searching his face. “I mean sure, he’s fun and cute, and he almost out-bid you at the auction-”
Damian gave her a flat stare. Of course she was going to bring that up.
“-but no.” She paused, as if suddenly realizing that was a very personal question. Her eyebrows knitted together and she stared at him. “Why do you ask?”
He shrugged, hoping he looked unaffected by her or her suspicion. “No reason. I just noticed you were a bit more chummy with him over the last few parties.” Jealousy, thick and viscous spilled into his chest, and Damian forced himself to breathe just to ignore it. “I thought maybe you two had hooked up or something.”
“Oh, god no.” Raven shook her head, color leaving her face as she forced out a bark of laughter. “Trust me. I made the mistake of dating a frat boy once. Never again will I wander down that road.”
Damian jerked and looked over at her, surprised. “What? Who did you date?”
“Gar. For all of six weeks during freshman year.” She lifted an eyebrow. “Do you not remember? You teased us relentlessly. I think half the reason we broke up was to get you to shut up and leave up alone.”
Memories flooded his thoughts, and Damian felt heat crawl up his neck. Ah, no. He remembered. It was definitely not one of his finer moments, but it had been before he understood what his feelings really were towards Raven. He remembered being angry and jealous, and he didn’t want to see them together, he just didn’t understand why. It wasn’t until months later that he realized he liked Raven. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “Yeah… I’m sorry about that.”
Raven seemed surprised by his apology, but she chose not to tease him about it. Instead, she shrugged and glanced away. “It’s fine. It never would have worked out between us anyway. That relationship was doomed from the start. Gar is still getting his life together, and I can’t wait for that. I don’t want to wait for that.” She paused as if realizing something, and looked back at Damian. “Why did you join the frat in the first place? I mean, you’re a legacy student, rich as all get out, and could have rented a swank apartment just off campus. You don’t need to join a fraternity.”
Damian shrugged. “Father belonged to the same one when he was in college, and he thought it would be good for business connections and my… social skills.” He rolled his eyes.
Raven laughed. “Social skills. Ah. So you’ve always had this stick up your ass? Good to know it’s not a recent development.”
Damian glanced over at her and tried to glare, but her smile melted whatever annoyance filled him. He blinked and looked away, turning down a side street towards the animal shelter. He swallowed and felt the confession bubble up before he could stop it. “I’m going to grad school too.”
Raven hummed, but the sound was playful. “Are you telling me I have at least three more years of you? Three more years of you harping on my reading choices?”
“At least.” He smirked. “I’ll make sure to bother you whenever I get the chance.”
“Are you going to stay in the frat house?”
“Probably not. I’m getting a little too old for that. The freshmen parties keep me up way too late.”
“Careful, Dami. Otherwise I’m going to start thinking you’re an old man.”
He gave her a flat stare, but tried not to crow at the playful nickname she offered. “What about you? Are you staying with Karen and Donna?”
“No.” Raven shook her head. “Karen is taking an internship in San Francisco, and Donna is going to Europe to work with her family’s company.” A pensive, sad expression filled her face. “If I get accepted, I’ll have to find somewhere to live before I start.”
The offer fell out of his mouth before he could stop it. “You could stay with me.”
Oh god. No. Panic filled his chest and tried to think of a way to make it a joke, but nothing came to mind. Instead he sat there and watched as several expressions of confusion colored Raven’s face.
Raven snorted. “As what? Your maid?”
“No.” Why did his mouth insist on talking? He couldn’t stop talking, and he needed to right now. “I mean… as roommates. I have the money and the space is easy to find. You need somewhere to stay. You’re clean and quiet, and you’d stay out of my business.” Damian finally breathed. Safe. “You’d be the perfect roommate. Like having a cat you never see.”
She rolled her eyes. “Gee, when you put it like that, how can I refuse? Be still my beating heart.”
He shrugged. “The offer stands. If you can’t find a place before fall, let me know.”
Raven laughed. “You know. I’ll do it. I’ll be your roommate just to annoy you.” She smirked and looked over at him, finally tucking that stray lock of hair behind her ear. “Put flavored creamer in my coffee every morning.”
“How many times do I have to say that you don’t sully good coffee with cheap creamer?” He seethed and pulled into the parking lot, shoving the car into park. “It’s a waste of good coffee.”
She laughed again and unbuckled her seatbelt. “I’ll make sure I have every single flavor in the fridge. Even down to the disgusting seasonal flavors. Pumpkin Spice. Egg Nog. Mint Chocolate.”
“That’s it.” Damian flung open his car door and stepped out, glaring at her over the roof of his car. “The offer has been officially revoked. You are no longer allowed to be my roommate.”
Raven laughed and followed him into the animal shelter, her steps uneven. Damian glanced down at her and realized her clothes didn’t fit quite right. Which meant she was probably wearing Donna’s shoes as well as Donna’s dress. His heart did something weird in his chest, and he realized that Raven had dressed up for him. Something like excitement and pride mixed together, and he found himself wanting to kiss her. Of course, he always wanted to kiss her, but right now… he was ready to throw caution to the wind and make out with her right on the animal shelter steps.
“Kittens.”
Her voice was soft and strained, as if she was trying to contain her excitement, and it pulled Damian deeper into his internal struggle to not fall in love with her any more. He glanced up to see Raven taking a shy step forward, looking through the window at the kitten and cat room. They lounged on trees and in beds, watching her with a curious expression. For a moment, he stood there and let this memory burn in his head. Raven’s eyes were wide and bright, and a soft smile played on her lips. She looked… cute. Too cute. His heart twisted even more in his chest and he guided her to the front door.
He smirked and held open the door for her. “You can pet them, you know.”
Raven glanced up at him, and Damian was pretty sure his insides were now permanently mush. She looked so eager, and he wanted to get her whatever she wanted just to keep that expression on her face.
“It’s gonna take me a bit to get the paperwork completed for the donation.” He was trying not to look completely and utterly enamored with her, but knew he was probably failing. “Go play with the cats.”
Her eyes widened for a moment, before her face fell back into a stern expression, poking him in the chest. “This stays between us.”
“That you turn into a small child at the sight of a kitten?” He forced a sarcastic smile. “You think I’m not going to take a picture of you and put it all over the internet.” He wasn’t, but she didn’t know that. “I can see the headline now: Resident Hardass, Raven Roth, Actually has a Soft Side.”
Before he could blink, Raven reached into his pants pocket and yanked out his cell phone, holding it up in front of his face. “I’ll keep this until we leave. Consider it collateral.” Sticking out her tongue at him, she shoved his phone into her bra and out of his reach, before turning around and heading to play with the cats.
“Your girlfriend is cute.”
Damian turned and looked at the office worker who had come out to meet him, and he didn’t bother correcting the assumption. Raven was cute, and he desperately wanted her as his girlfriend.
He finished up with the donation, writing out the check and posing for a few promotional photos with workers from the animal shelter. But his thoughts were thirty feet away, with Raven as she moved around the room, playing with cats. Damian stood there for a few minutes and watched her, all spread out on the floor, cats and kittens crawling over her and making her light up and smile so damned bright. Damian stared at her, his heart so heavy and so full that breathing hurt. He didn’t understand how he could protect his heart anymore.
He was irrevocably in love with her, and it was only going to hurt him to keep denying it.
Raven looked up and saw him standing there. She picked up a kitten that had been crawling up her back, and set it on the floor before stepping out of the room to meet him. She was covered in cat fur, and that somehow only made her cuter. He was so damn gone for her.
“You’re a mess.” He said, shaking his head with a laugh. “And you desperately need a lint roller.”
Damian went and borrowed one from the front desk clerk, taking time to roll off the back of her dress and her skirt. The whole act felt strangely intimate, but Raven didn’t seem to mind. Instead she was laughing, twisting away when he found a ticklish spot near her side. Forgetting who he was, Damian wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her back to him, running the lint roller over her stomach and letting himself bathe in her joy. She felt like liquid sunshine in his arms, happy and honest, and so unlike the usual studious hardass she was. His world was shifting even more, and Raven was standing in the center like a beacon.
“Careful, Dami.” Her voice was soft and breathy from laughter, and she smelled of lavender and vanilla. God. He could feel her heat spilling through his clothes and warming him in the best way possible. She turned in his arms and plucked the lint roller from his hand, tilting her face up to meet his own. Her lips shifted to the side, and she poked a finger in his chest. “People might get the wrong idea about us.”
His mind was filled with one thought: Let them.

A Quick Meeting pt. 3
The Bakery is open so it’s time for Marinette and Damian to have a chat. Only for Lila to interrupt.
--------------------------------------
Don't ask me to explain, honestly I should just not be allowed around a keyboard while I’m tired. So here’s the next part.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 4
“Good morning and welcome to the Dupain----” Marinette cut off when she saw who had come in. Damian newly minted Wayne was dressed in his usual black turtleneck with jeans and some sneakers. The boy next to him she recognized from the other night, not knowing his civilian identity she resounded to just calling him superboy in her head. He was dressed in blue jeans, a white shirt scuffed up boots and a yellow flannel, obviously American. In a lower voice she said “Damian and company, how nice to see you. Done heroing yet?” She tried to be nice but just couldn’t resist the jab.
“Heroing? I have no idea what youre talking about, I’m just from America yup just a normal American boy. No heroing about me.” Superboy was a flustered mess blushing as he couldn’t figure out how to spin the lie convincingly.
“Oh can it Kent she’s already figured you out.” Damian said, curt as usual.
“Well it’s nice to see you’re feeling better ice prince. Have a nice time last night?” she motioned with her head towards the back. Hopefully he was smart enough to realize her parents were right next door and could hear almost everything.
“Sure though” he lowered his voice “I could’ve sworn I left something on your lovely partner's hair. If I remember correctly it was pink paint?” Marinette had to stifle a laugh. Knowing Adrien he wasn’t up yet which is why he hadn’t called her. “So Ms. Dupain-Cheng think you have enough time to take a breakfast break with us. Maybe talk over somethings?”
“Oh I think I could swing that. Let me just go tell my parents.” she walked towards the back leaving Damian and Superboy alone up front. “Mamman, Papa some friends have asked if I could take a quick break and eat breakfast with them. Is that ok?”
“Of course just don’t take too long.” Tom said.
“And if anyone comes in you’ve gotta help them.” Sabiene added.
“Done and done. Thank you.” Marinette said waving as she walked back out front.
“So are you free for a little bit?” Damian asked, and if she didn’t know better she would think he sounded nervous.
“Yeah, at least unless any other customers come in.” She responded. “Now what do you guys want.”
Minutes later the three were sitting around the table in the bakery. Jon, who had finally introduced himself properly to Marinette, finally got his macaroons. Damian went with a more conservative coffee and blueberry scone. Marinette had already eaten but she still made herself a coffee after all a heroes work never sleeps.
“So you have got to tell me how you got paint in Chats hair.”
“Well a Wayne never reveals his secrets.” Damian smiled.
“Wait how did you do that?” Jon said through a mouthful of Macaroon.
“Do what?
“Make him smile? That took me a month to do!”
“Well I----” Marinette was about to respond sarcastically when the bell above the door rang. “Well looks like I’m back on the clock sorry Jon, maybe some other time.”
“But….. But…. Come on I need to know!!!” He shouted as she went back behind the counter.
“Hello and welcome to the Dupain-Cheng bakery. How may I help you.” Marinette said from behind the counter.
“Oh I’m not so sure you can help me. After all, you've been so unhelpful lately.” Marinette groaned knowing that snively voice anywhere.
“Lila. how… can I even say pleasent, or would you somehow spin it in a way that makes me look like the bad guy.” Marinette was trying to be polite, trying was the optimal word.
“What is your problem Marinette.” Alya said from behind Lila
“Alya  I was just trying to make sure I don’t get my reputation any more slandered.”
“Don’t worry Alya, I’m just trying to be nice and order some pastries for me and my Damipoo.” Marinette swore she saw Damian choke on his coffee while Jon broke out into giggles. “And what is your problem Damian? And who’s this he looks like he came out of farmers weekly.” Lila turned her attention to Damian. The latter in turned looked towards Marinette. He looked her straight in the eye and nodded. Marinette realizing what he was about to do got a wicked grin on her face and nodded back.
“Lies you know I don’t like pastries, remember that incident in Munich? Also why are you being so mean to Marinette? From what you told me you two were best friends with MDC.” He saddled up closer to Lila, he had a head on her so she had to look up to him.
“What are you talking about Damian, and what do you mean MDC?” she looked angry, and confused. Marinette got out her phone and hit record.
“Well you said you finally wanted to reveal our relationship to the world, that you were ready for the world to know you were dating Damian Wayne. My father agreed, oh how my brothers couldn’t stop teasing us.” Damian grabbed her hand and brought it to his chest. “Also of course you know Marinette Dupain-Cheng is MDC, you wouldn’t tell me who she was so it took me a week to figure it out.”
“I... I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Come on Lies you told the world we’re dating. After all, you’ve known me as Damian Wayne since I moved to Gotham.” There was the money shot. Marinette zoomed in on Lilas pale white shocked face. Once she got a good look at that she moved the camera to where Jon was, because he looked about as shocked as Lila, but three shades paler. Before anyone could say anything she sprinted from the room. Marinette turned off the corner just in time for her and Damian to burst out laughing.
“ok what’s going on?” Alya’s voice came from the corner.
“Well it looks like Lila forgot to check my last name before spinning her newest lie, otherwise she would’ve known not to tell it. I am a Wayne after all.” Alya’s face slacked as she comprehended the words. At the same time Jon’s phone went off, he silently picked it up still stunned from the fact he just witnessed Damian fucking Wayne act like that.
“Jonathan Kent where in the world are you!” Jon winced as his very angry mother shouted from the other end of the line.  Alya went even more slack jawed as she realized that it was her idol Lois Lane.
“Hi mom, I’m in Paris. Damian needed my help with something so I came over.” Jon said innocently.
“Oh went right over. Just popped across the pond like it was nothing, I hope you can do the same thing and get back here or otherwise no tech for a month. After all Jon you can’t just ditch the house like that! Not even for a Wayne. Conner and Clark do it enough to give two lifetimes worth of heart attacks.”
“Alya it may be a good time to go.” Marinette quietly told her ex friend.
“I have so many questions. But before I go I need to tell you that I am so sorry about everything, about believing Lila and hurting you, and I have been such a terrible person. It’s taken me until now to realize how wrong I’ve been” Alya looked at Marinette, both girls tearing up a little bit. Marinette was just happy Alya was out of Lila’s mind control.
“We can talk more about it later, I don’t know if I can fully forgive you right now, but I know I can at least a little bit.” the two hugged and Alya left, mumbling to herself about what she just witnessed.
--------------------------------------------
Damian could still hear Lois’ shouts an hour after she was done. Once she was done chewing Jon out she called him to tear him to shreds about not letting her or Clark know about Jon staying in Paris for the night. Lets just say he was still recovering from those burns. A short knock on his window let him know Marinette was outside.
“Windows open!” he called from the living room. He heard it creak open and soft footprints soon after.
“Spots off.” she said entering the living room. In a flash of light the Ladybug costume was replaced with a pair of jeans and a white top. “Have I said you’re the best because you are. I don’t think Lila will be trying anything new for a while.”
“Good. I was getting rather annoyed at her.” He was gonna add a specific reason then realized, He didn’t need to. “On the topic of secrets there's something I need to talk to you about.”
“You’re Robin.”
“I’m sorry come again.”
“You are Robin.”
“And how did you find that out?”
“I looked through any pictures I could, I recognized the hairstyle. Plus most people described him as having the exact same personality as you. Then there's the fact he hasn’t been seen in almost two months. Which coincidence is exactly how long you’ve been here for.”
“I… I think you could rival Drake for deductive reasoning.”
“Is that a compliment?”
“Unlike my other comments about Drake it actually is. Now that was part of what I wanted to talk to you about. The other part was,” he took a moment gathering up the nerve to ask, “can we start training together? I’ve seen you’re fighting technique and it’s frankly amazing. Something the league of assassins never taught me. I’d be very honored to learn it.”
“I mean if you want too sure. When do you want to start?” Marinette looked almost excited.
“How bout now? I can race you to the Wayne enterprises building, we have a secret training room there.”
“That’s a deal.”
Once Damian had on his training suit and a mask, the Robin suit was back in Gotham at Bruce's orders,  and Marinette her Ladybug costume they set out across town. Damian only almost hit two bird nests which was actually an improvement, especially after months off duty.
“Aha beat you.” the red and black heroine cheered.
“You sure? The view from up here has been amazing” The boys black training suit blended in nicely with the night.
“How the hell did you get here before me and get up there?”
“Beat me in training and I’ll tell you. Now come on, want to see the training room?”
“Ten minutes. Got it.” Damian saw Marinette smirk from beneath her mask.
“Just come on.” he said blushing, Marinette gave a quick laugh. Damian was finally seeing the two as the same person, honestly it kinda struck him as strange not many others could. It was rather obvious.
He led the way down the twisty hallways of Wayne enterprises, avoiding the more active areas so no one would see him and Ladybug sneaking around. That might get a few too many looks for his comfort. Finally they got out of the fluorescent light and cramped walls of the hallways to the keypad and door that would lead to the training room.
Please give me your password sir, madame, or neuter. Alfred's voice rang from the keypad.
“Bloodson.”
“Bloodson? Really you chose that?”
“I was ten, like you never gave embarrassing nicknames at that age. Now would you like to go in first?”
“I think you might want to talk to him about going first.”
“What do you mean?”
“Just look.”
Damian turned around to see black sweatpants with a red t-shirt. Attached were pale limbs one carrying a water bottle the other a phone. Damian looked up to match eyes with Tim Drake, one of his least favorite siblings to deal with.
“Hey ice prince. Want to explain why you’re in training gear, which should be back at the cave. Or how about why you’re with someone clad in spandex, I thought that was just a super thing.” Tim surprisingly had finally gotten more than an hour of sleep which meant his deductive skills were actually sharper than normal. Not good for Damian.
“How bout I take option three: leaving and we never speak of this.”
“Yeah not an option, start talking. Now.”

Well, I think it’s time to create my own list of thoughts and wishes for season 3 of Titans
(I am well aware that some of these points are merely a wishful thinking but a girl can dream, right?)
First of all, the official stuff we found out so far:
- Redhood - I know Jason was treated poorly (to say the least) in s2 and that is a legit reason to be angry at the team but please let this transition make sense. Curran is putting a lot of work into it and I am sure his performance will be amazing, but storywise I really hope it’s not gonna end up being done in a “bratty kid throwing a tantrum” kind of way.
- Barbara Gordon - I don’t want to hear anything about a love triangle, got it? She’s being introduced as Dick’s ex for a reason. There might be some little things thrown in here and there like we had with Dawn in s1 but a full blown drama? We don’t need that shit! And besides, it’s been said she won’t be very happy to see Dick, neither she’ll be thrilled about Nightwing and Company running around her city.
Unless they turn it all into a comedy where instead of Kory being jealous - it’s the kids! Gar and Rachel going completely feral whenever Barbara gets close to Dick, giving off you’re not our mom so get out vibe and Kory lets them because she finds it hilarious (this season is supposed be *lighter* and *more fun* as I’ve heard, right?)
- Scarecrow - I am VERY intrigued to see that character. He’s supposed be locked up and working with GCPD but I do hope we’ll get to see him in action. I’m not really into comics world, I had to do my research on him, but from what I’ve found… Damn, fear toxin torture that show their biggest fears and nightmares would be awesome for my angst crave
- Blackfire - personally I don’t find a reason to panic. I know that the treatment of both Anna and her character, especially in s2 was unacceptable, I 100% agree with that. And it does give a reason to worry for s3. BUT why am I not worried?
1. Damaris Lewis has been promoted to a series regular a long time ago
2. Even with all the stuff happening in Gotham, Blackfire is still set to be the main villain - we had the same situation in s2. Cadmus was brought up to introduce Conner, even though Deathstroke was the main villian. So whatever is happening in Gotham, it’s for the introduction of Red Hood while Blackfire remains main villain.
3. Look at what Anna has been saying and the vibe she’s giving off! Would she be this happy if Kory wasn’t getting more screentime? Would she be getting calls from the showrunner about creating Kory’s background and having a chance to pitch him ideas like incorporating her native culture in building the world of Tamaran? WOULD SHE SAY WITH A HUGE SMILE ON HER FACE THAT THIS IS THEIR BEST SEASON YET?
So don’t worry too much about our girl. I’m sure she’s getting her time to shine. Even if it ends up being not as much as we would want, it’s still progress from last season.
And if the writers follow a similar schematic as for previous seasons, I see it going like this:
Blackfire = Deathstroke = Trigon (Main Villian)
Gotham stuff/Redhood = CADMUS/Conner = The Organization/Nuclear Family/Angela (side villian/introduction)
Scarecrow and Barbara = Doctor Light = Amy Rohrbach and Nic Zucco (plot device, appearance in 1-3 eps at most)
I might be wrong though, so don’t hold me on that. Because there’s also another storyline that needs to fit in between all of this
- Rachel on Themyscira - I am sure they won’t show as much of the island as they were originally planning for the same reason they moved the team from San Francisco to Gotham - weather conditions in this time of year resulting in lower temperatures, shorter and less sunny days. All of that wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t for filming being pushed back due to Covid. I also had a feeling from the beginning that Rachel won’t come back victorious, or at least she will come back alone, with Donna showing up on her own later or at the end of the season. Now, with an information of the possible use of Lazarus Pit, it all makes even more sense. All my knowledge about those pits comes from Arrowverse so correct me if I’m wrong, but is Donna going to struggle with Blood Lust because of that? It is possible imo.
- Roy Harper and Tim Drake - I don’t have much to say about them, really. I’m excited to see Roy but the only valid reason for him to show up is to grieve Donna and maybe share his condolences to Dick or something like that. We don’t need more OG Titans drama. And Tim… well, new Robin in town will catch Jason’s attention and definitely spark some jealousy, evolving into a feeling of being ditched and abandoned, further confirming his belief of being a “reject”. All of this will only push him further to Red Hood.
Now, for the things I personally want to happen…
- Dickkory getting together - even if it happens in the finale, we need to see the progress! I don’t want this to happen off screen during the possible time jump. I want to see them supporting each other and being there for each other. I want to see Kory being his right-hand (wo)man and them leading the team together. And most importantly for me - the one thing that really brought them together in s1 - a continuation of their co-parenting of the younger Titans.
- Gar’s trauma being adressed - and I’m talking BOTH SEASONS. He really struggled with killing that guy in s1 and what CADMUS did to him made it all worse. He needs to talk about this with someone (and I hope that someone is Dick). And I really want to know if what happened to him is gonna have any lasting consequences.
- Donna and Dick need to talk things out - the worst thing about her death for me is the fact that these two didn’t get the chance to talk about what happened. Donna wasn’t a saint either and I find her behavior in the second half of s2 very hypocritical. It almost felt like this Donna and s1 Donna are two different people! She and Dick have a very strong bond and a lot of history. I’m sure they’ve had their fair share of fights in the past. I really hope they will sort this thing out and get back to being this amazing duo I fell in love with in s1.
- Rose and Jericho - I really want to see how this relationship will work and progress with them not really knowing each other but sharing one body.
- Growth and progress in Kory, Rachel and Gar’s powers - I think I don’t need to elaborate on that. I want to see Kory and Rachel fly, Rachel using more of her powers and discovering stuff like teleportation and telekinesis, Gar turning into other animals (lets pray HBO MAX will provide a decent budget for all of that). And obviously, following that…
- Supersuits for those three! - do I need to add more? I don’t think so.
- And can we get rid of Hank and Dawn? - I liked them in s1, tolerated them at the beginning of s2 and by the end I just wanted them gone. They are completely useless. Honestly? If I were to pick one… Hank can stay, we can still do something with him. But Dawn can go and don’t come back for all I care. I only need her for one more thing I’d like to see but more about that later.
And now the two most important things for me…
- MORE CORE FOUR FAMILY MOMENTS - this was the magic of season 1 that we only got some crumbs of in 2x01 and then it disappeared completely. I am in desperate need of Dick and Kory co-parenting their two superpowered teenage kids. And can someone FINALLY call Dick a DAD?! I would pay fortune to see that happen.
- Relationship progress between the Core Four - all the possible variants, but especially with the kids. It’s already been pretty much established that Rachel is Daddy’s Girl while Gar is Mama’s Boy. And it was nice to see Dick and Gar growing closer during season 2 while Rachel poured her heart out to Kory. But I was VERY MUCH with Gar and Kory when they both asked Rachel “Have you talked to Dick?” because girl YOU AND YOUR FATHER NEED TO TALK! A lot has happened, okay? (Not just because I am an absolute sucker for this dynamic and they are my favorites, but… get ready for a rant) I really want to go back to the way things were in s1 where they had at least one scene together every episode, where they talked and bonded a lot, where we actually could see the progress of this relationship. We’ve been stripped of that in s2. A little bit at the beginning, something at the end (I’m still mad Rachel didn’t get any closure for that nightmare that scared the hell out of her and yet had no influence on further events). I want to see Dick really embracing that role of a father, stepping up to responsibilities he kinda forgot about in s2. It would be nice to see a callback to his conversation with Dawn in 1x02 about how he’s “not taking her in” because “he can’t do family”. I’d love for Dawn to throw one big “I told you so!” in his face (and Dick agreeing she was right all along). I want to see Rachel leaning on him for support and encouragement while also growing independent in her own way. I also need to see more physical affection. Hugs are great and we always want more of them, but a touch of hand on the arm or cheek, or a forehead kiss would kill me. And I dream about a verbal “I love you” everyday…
Well, I think it’s all for now. Nothing else comes to mind atm. I might update this list as time goes on and we get more details…

Fallen Bird
Make the World Bleed Chapter 1: Fallen Bird Fandom: DC Comics/Red Robin/Batman/Young Justice Pairings/Characters: Conner/Tim/Jason, Bruce/Clark/Diana, Core Four, Cassandra & Tim, Dick & Tim, Dick & Damian, Bruce & Tim, Tim & his Assassin Trio Summary: The Core Four have a bond that will never break, will never fade. When one of their own is hurt by someone who should be family to them the other three respond in force. When Tim's line is cut and he is seriously injured Conner, Bart and Cassie are ready to declare war against anyone who stands in their way of helping Tim, even if that means making a devil with the Devil himself, Ra's Al Ghul.  Author Notes: Written for the @badthingshappenbingo my prompt: falling from great heights. I love stories that deal with Damian cutting Tim’s grappling line and the fallout and aftermath that and my love of the Core Four turning into their dark selves this because one of their own is injured by someone is supposed to be family.  You can also read it on AO3
There were few things Tim Drake loved more than flying through the Gotham night sky as Robin and even though he was no longer Robin, something that still left a deep ache he refused to let the loss of Robin take away his wings and he was finally finding his place soaring as Red Robin.
Gotham was once a place that Tim called home. Once he thought he had found a family but the feeling of home and family were nothing but seemed in the distant past.
No longer could he call Wayne Manor or the Penthouse home. Nor could he call the other Bat's family.
He had realized that the hard way that he no longer belonged or he had never really been a part of the Wayne family.
Tim could feel himself on the edge there was only so much more he could take from Damian, only his team, Cassandra and surprisingly Helena saw how much the abuse was getting to him and the fact that he was just to turn the other cheek was slowly breaking him.
None of them could understand why the adults in Damian's life never once thought to take him aside and explain why he can't treat Tim the way he does. Not one of them set bounders for him. They reprimanded Tim because as the older of the two he should know better. And it was getting to the point that even Raven and Gar, who Tim didn't want them to get involved due to their strong bond with Dick, were reaching their breaking point. Several times they had to stop Raven from tossing the Bat-family into a hell dimension in their underwear.
Helena, Conner and Bart had been all for that idea and it was only because Tim begged her not to did Raven back down.
"If they keep placing the blame on you for Damian's actions I will do it," Raven warned, her normally warm eyes blazing with rage. Raven's vow whispered through Tim's mind.
No, shoving those thoughts to the back of his head Tim lost himself in something he loved.
Tim loved flying between the buildings it was one of his favourite things as a hero. His grapple line gave him a sense of freedom.
Freedom from the tension in the cave.
Freedom from the feeling that he didn't belong in the cave.
Freedom that he had lost a second family.
Then he heard it, something that shouldn't be happening not with a Bat-approved grapple the snapping of his line.
Tim only had seconds to hear the snap before he was falling. "Conner!" He knew that he could count on him, his best friend who kept his promise that he would always be listening to his heartbeat.
But deep in his heart, he knew that it was going to be too late. 'Please Conner don't blame yourself.' Tim pleaded before darkness claimed him.
The pure terror in Tim's voice will haunt Conner 'Kon' Kent for the rest of his days as will his guilt for being a second too late in catching Tim. Looking at the broken boy of his best friend Conner felt like his heart had been ripped out of his chest.
Pressing his comm to the rest of the Titans, "Guys you need to get to Gotham." Conner didn't care that his voice wobbled there was no way that he could stay strong or even pretend that everything was alright, nothing would be alright after this.
"Dude, what is wrong Conner? You are scaring me here." Bart's worried voice came over the line. It wasn't often that Conner would suggest that they break Batman's no meta in Gotham's rule. There was only one reason he would do so.
Bart's worse fears were confirmed when Conner whispered, "It's Tim, he's hurt badly."
Only the movement of his hair alerted Conner to Bart's arrival.
"Oh god." Bart felt like he was going to be sick at the sight he arrived at, he and the others had always been protective over Tim as he was the only human on their team but the one time he truly needed them and they failed him.
"I'm going to kill whoever did this." Bart snarled out, Tim was family and he would do everything in his power to keep those he loves safe.
"First we need to get Tim's help." Whoever did this will pay but getting Tim's aid comes first.
+******+
It was no secret among the Bat-family that there was a rivalry between the two youngest sons Timothy Drake-Wayne and Damian Wayne.
Richard "Dick" Grayson had hoped that they would grow out of it, he couldn't understand why Tim couldn't see that as being Damian's older brother he was to not let Damian's words get to him. Damian had come from the League of Assassins and his abusive upbringing was all he knew. Of course, he was going to lash out and Tim to Damian was an easy target.
Tonight Tim had let Damian get to him once again and stormed out of the cave, Dick only hoped that when he returned he was willing to apologize to Damian.
Jason Todd was fighting the urge to slam some heads together and at the top of his list is Dickie and the smug brat Damian. He had heard from Cass and Helena that things were pretty bad when it came to Tim and Damian and how Damian was allowed to get away with everything while Tim took the blame.
Yeah, he had tried to kill the kid, something that Jason hasn't forgiven himself for. He had allowed Talia to twist him up and he took it out on the one person who didn't deserve his rage. Tim might have forgiven him but he did and Dick sure as hell didn't. So he couldn't understand why Dick was allowing the demon brat to emotionally, verbally and physically abuse Tim and stay silent when he saw it first hand or got angry when Tim defended himself.
'For someone who claims to love family, he sure has proven that he can only love one brother at a time.' Jason felt for Tim. He was trying to be there for Tim but it was a work in progress.
It just baffled him and pissed him off that Bruce, Dick, Alfred, Stephanie and Barbara never once questioned why they allowed Damian to get away with treating Tim like he was trash. Why they never spoke up when Damian time after time told Tim that he wasn't wanted, that he wasn't part of the family. Why Damian sought to kill Tim and only Tim. Jason just hoped that they would wake up before it was too late.
It turned out it was too late.
For all of his skills, Damian found he couldn't move as the speedster kept him pinned to the wall, one hand wrapped around his throat the other vibrating right above his heart, "One wrong move and I vibrate my hand through your chest and into your heart." Bart Allen hissed, his happy-go-lucky personality replaced by a hardened man with no mercy left.
Damian refused to show any fear for that was a sign of weakness and he was anything but weak.
No help was coming as Cassie Sandsmark had Stephanie wrapped up in her lasso, she looked every inch of the Amazonian warrior she is.
Richard had his hands full with an enraged Superboy who was out for pure blood and Raven along with Huntress were keeping his father and Todd busy.
'I always knew that she was not to be trusted.' Damian thought bitterly at the betrayal from someone that was supposed to be one of their own. "I have no idea what you want but I suggest that you let me go and vacate the cave as well as Gotham and I might not seek revenge."
Bart's eyes burned with untamed rage, "Of course you would threaten violence for all the claims that you have changed you still fall back on old habits and isn't hurting Tim tonight enough for you? Or do you wish to stain your hands with blood some more?" Bart hissed at him.
Dick who was close enough to hear was confused, "What happened to Timmy?"
"Don't act like you don't know! You let this happen!" Conner snarled as he felt his eyes heating up and oh how he wanted nothing more than to unleash his heat beam on those who had harmed his Tim.
"Conner, I need you to calm down. I'm sure that Damian didn't mean for this to happen." Dick pleaded he needed to make Conner as well as himself believe that was true that Damian hadn't meant to hurt Tim. "I'm sure if we could talk to Tim we can clear this all up."
"Lies!" Conner hissed out, "This isn't the first time that little demon has tried to kill Tim and because he was never told by you Bruce or Alfred that killing Tim was wrong he found it acceptable and kept trying and now he has succeeded in seriously harming Tim. You are to blame as much as he is because you never took the time to explain that Tim is very much as a family as he is and Tim has the right to feel safe in his own home! Tim is fighting for his life right now because none of you had the balls to tell that demon spawn that killing is wrong!"
Damian froze a flicker of fear as Conner's words vibrated around the cave and all moment stopped.
Dick was sure that for a second his heart had stopped beating, "What do you mean?"
"I mean that Tim screamed my name as he fell knowing that I would always be listening for him if he needed me. I found my best friend's broken body laying on the ground. Bart found the cut zip line and Helena got Vic to look at the footage and what he found proved all of our fears Damian cut Tim's line, he fell because of him!"
Cassandra Cain was torn, she loved her family but Tim, Tim was special he was her little brother, her little bird, the one who never gave up on her and the first one to trust her.
"Hurt brother. Cannot forgive. Cannot trust. " It hurt Cass to say those words but she knew deep in her heart it was true.
Nodding his head Jason crossed his arms over his chest, "I agree with princess here. I knew this family was messed up but hell letting me then the demon spawn tries and kill replacement without consciences is a new low. At least I did my best to make amends with Timmy, and for some reason, he found it in his heart to forgive me."
"You were his big brother, the first one to believe in him and you turned your back on him." It was Helena's words that cut Dick to the core.
"Don't bother looking for Tim, he is somewhere safe and you will never see him again," Conner growled. Bart and Cassie stood united with him. They had once seen a future where they turned dark, where they crossed lines and for Tim, they were willing to do that now.
If it meant taking on Batman, his family and the whole Justice League they would do so in a heartbeat to keep Tim safe.

||Moon phase||
Hi guys, time for a drabble but this is for my friend @multi-ocs-hangout well, part one of another drabble I’ll write after this one. Alright, it involves Baby blue (Rin) and Kit (Tsubasa)
For a few days, Rin has been avoiding Tsubasa for some weird reason. He wouldn’t be near him and gives him a confused word saying he was not feeling well. After having enough, he goes to find him but sees the truth. What will happen? Ready to find out
(Will have heavy Nsfw, heat (not part of Omegaverse), Sub and dom, toys. etc. Swearing and it’s gonna be messy. Just warning ya. If you don’t like this sort of thing, please don’t read it. All characters are 18+ and older. This is for my friend so yeah. Grammar not good but for fun.)
Tsubasa Conner belongs to @multi-ocs-hangout
Rin Okurmura is from the anime: manga/anime series Blue Exorcist
“What do you mean you don’t know what is going on with my Rin-Rin! Your his fucking twin brother for god sake! I demand you tell me where he is!” Yukio was trying to calm a very angry but worried Ryuji Sakamoto or a.k.a Tsubasa Conner down due to something that’s been worrying him.
He’s been worried about his beloved Rin Rin for a while now. He hasn’t been returning his calls or his text messages. The only one he got was last week, saying he didn’t have time to talk to him and was busy. It was rare to hear him say this to him, even to his sweet Kit.
This told the red flared Kitsune sneering at Yukio that was waving his arms trying to calm him down. It was almost midnight and he was here in his pajamas. He knew how he gets when becoming angry so he had to ease the anger of him.
“Easy, Tsubasa. I know you’re worried about my twin brother Rin but trust me, your not the only one. He won’t even come out and tell me what is wrong. I’ve tried everything but he won’t answer me.”
“Then do something better! I want to see my Rin rin but if someone hurt him I’m gonna-”
“Easy!!!!! Listen, If it helps, usually would be out taking a walk to clear his head or speak to the headmaster. Why don’t you go and see him yourself.” He sees the angry red head glare at him but calms down, turning to quickly go to the headmaster. Yukio looks at him run but lets out a shuddered sigh.
“Geez, he’s more scary than father.......what does Rin see in him again..” he mutters nervous but heads back into the dorm to rest for a while tonight.
Later on, Tsubasa shows up in the hallway of the headmaster’s office. He begins knocking on the door but hears a cheerful call of “Come in!”
“Samuel!”
“Well, well, well, what are you doing here...Looking for your precious Baby blue?” Tsubasa look to indeed see Mephisto Pheles standing there with his smile. He tips his hat to Tsubasa that was really not in the mood for games.
“Samuel, do you know where my Rin rin is?! Yukio told me you might know where he is. Or you being the last person to see him so where is he!!!” He explains as the demon thinks a little with a smile.
“You mean Rin? Ohhhhhh, yeah he came here to ask for something. Had to be taken to another location that he asked me to take him. He did look a little under the weather but..that seems to be just normal.” he explained chuckling that Tsubasa glares at him but tries calming down.
“Then where is he?!? Where did you take him!!”
“Now now..no need to get angry. He’s safe and busy as he says. I could take you to him so you can see for yourself or just let you travel there much quicker.” he explains but smiled seeing Tsubasa didn’t care. He had to see his Rin rin!
“Alright no need to give such a scary face. Here.....” He walks over to the door and takes out a key. He inserts the key and turns it, opening the door to show another new location that was not of this world. “He’s through there. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” he smiled but turns to walk off as Tsubasa looks in the room but goes through the door, closing it behind him.
The room of this place seems really dark but he was still worried about Rin. “Baby blue?...Are you in here?” he asked calling out but heard nothing. He worried if something did happen to him. He started walking forward calling out. Just as he was about to scream out, his eyes picked up a familiar blue flame. It had to be him!
“Baby? Is that you?” he said hurrying to the light. As he gets closer to it, his eyes widen at the sight. He saw his precious Rin rin but he wasn’t well..decent. He was alright but he was fully naked while having two fingers in his wet hot ass. He was swaying his black tail left and right trying to cool down but his body was burning. He was looking down trying to feel better but he groans when his fingers slam in deep to make him cry out cumming on himself. He panted feeling the pleasure but he winces when his body still needed more. He pulls his fingers out but tries to think of something else till he sees someone. He thought he was alone thanks to Mephisto. He was about get Kurikara but stops seeing it was Tsubasa.
“K..Kit?”
“.........”
“W..what are you doing here? I told you I.......” he didn’t get a word out but suddenly sees Tsubasa rush and hold him tight in worry. He was happy to see Rin alright but he could tell he was really warm. He pulls back looking at his baby blue but touches his cheeks seeing him shivering.
“What do you mean what am I doing here!? I came to find you. I was fucking worried about you b..but...I am happy to see you alright....but what’s going on? Why are you...” she sees him look away but covers himself seeing him feeling hotter with Kit near by.
“I..It’s nothing. I didn’t want to worry you s..so...I asked that idiot to take me somewhere to calm down.”
“You could have came to find me, dummy. You know how I am when it comes to you.” Tsu touches Rin’s cheek worried but he blushes looking to his Kit but shuts his eyes feeling weaker that his hole was dripping worse making Tsubasa notice. Something was indeed off.
“Rin rin? Are you sick? What’s happening to you?”
“I don’t know....I was just fine the other night but tonight I feel itchy..hot..and really we..wet. I don’t know what’s happening to me...” he didn’t like this feeling but Tsubasa was listening to him but thinks. Well, it was a new moon tonight so...wait. It was a new moon! He quickly looks to Rin but held him close while he whimpers being held.
“Rin rin..you do know it’s a new full moon right? Do you think that has to refer to anything....” He said holding him but he sees Rin not hearing much, feeling his body press up more against Tsubasa that he was cuddling up with him. He blushes worried but he keeps him close.
“But I don’t know what is going on. My body is hot and it’s....burning. I can’t focus on anything but......” His eyes looked up to Tsu but he was still worried about him. He was able to see his cuteness up close but he sees Tsubasa think trying to figure out what was the matter. However, he felt Rin shift his body to suddenly push him down and hug him.
“Rin rin?!”
“S..sorry Kit. I warned you not to be near me right now. I’m not feeling myself...b..but I really feel...h..hot....” he said now gripping his kit’s waist but he feels Tsu’s body to make the other blush.
“You know I can’t help it......when it comes to you.” he said but Rin only blushes worse to carefully cuddle and look at him seeing Tsubasa’s flushed red face. “Even if that’s the same....you are so sweet wishing to care for me so..maybe you can help me...” He gets in between Tsubasa’s legs but started undoing his pants seeing the red head sit up blushing but Rin stops him with a deep kiss. He felt his eyes widen feeling the kiss but whimpers when he lays on top of him making out with him. Their tongues rubbing against one another till Rin breaks it panting.
“You’ll help me feel better..won’t you, Kit? Please..my ass is needy and I want it.” he whispered seeing his cock but he begins lowering down with kisses to Tsubasa’s chest. He hisses from the hot lips touching his skin but he feels Rin get in between his legs to start kissing his cock and begins stroking him while sucking the tip.
“W..wait, Rin rin..” he touches his head still sucking the tip before pushing it down more into his mouth while letting Tsubasa feel his tail brushing against his cheek. He really wished for him to help and feel better. He feels him still pleasuring him but maybe the full moon had something to do with this. Was it....Rin being in heat?!? Before asking, he feels Rin’s fingers push into Tsubasa’s ass making him gasp but tense up. His hips buck pushing his cock into Rin’s mouth but he feels him still going wanting him to release his cum.
“Haa...F..fuck...Rin rin..........” he watches his sweet Rin pleasuring him but his hands already rubs his thighs making the red head quiver by the touch. He was going to cum too quickly trying to warn him till he cries out cumming hard into Rin’s mouth. He twitches gulping it down but hears Tsubasa’s groan of arousal. He pulls back licking his lips but slowly moves away to see his cute Kit trying to catch his breath.
“R..rin rin.....” he sits up but sees Rin now laying back but spreading his legs for the Kit to see his now really wet hole. It was aching for something inside of him that Rin couldn’t think clearly wanting him.
“Please h..help me feel good, Tsubasa..I need you so badly it hurts...won’t you help me?” he begs that Tsubasa had a nose bleed blushing red. With his mind clearing, all Tsubasa did was crawl over and held Rin’s legs open for him, having his cock resting on his own.
“Trust me, Rin rin. I’ll do everything to make you feel better. Leave it to your precious Kit.” He purrs “But next time, just come and find me. I’ll take good care of you. Deal?” he said hearing Rin moan softly.
“D..deal..”

LIFE SAVER B.A.
Request: Could I request Bart Allen x reader where she is the blood daughter of Bruce Wayne- maybe make her superhero alias phoenix or something and she falls hard for him. Bruce is a protective father and wants Bart to prove himself of being worthy for her hand. Fluff.
Warning: mentions of blood, violence, Bruce being a bad dad, fluff, angst, swearing
A/N: Y’all had me so distracted playing Among Us I nearly forgot to post
Anyways, first Bart fic, hope you guys enjoy!!
Word Count: 3.3k
Tumblr media
"Bruce you're being fucking ridiculous."
Joining the Young Justice Team was your father's idea. Tim was there, Dick was still the leader, and you deserved your spot there as well. You despised the idea at first - it was easier working with Batman than it was a bunch of kids, even if two of your brothers were on the team. It didn't seem fair that he was making you go as well.
You never talked to very many people there - Tim, Dick, sometimes Conner. It was easier just to stick by yourself until the mission came. Maybe that was the Bruce in you - wanting to be alone and independent - maybe that was just you not wanting to make friends. Tim fit in well, Dick founded the team. They were meant for this, you weren't.
Maybe that was the reason you were excited to see a new face when Bart arrived. He was just as annoying and over energetic as everyone else you knew, but there was still something different about him. He wasn't like Wally or Conner or even your brothers. He carried a weight on his shoulders that he desperately tried to hide.
Not to mention that he seemed to know all the right things to make you smile. Bart became close to you, closer than you had been than anyone else. Dick was the first to notice. He watched you sneak into Bart's room at night to hang out and play video games or that the two of you would always make sure you were together on missions.
It was subtle at first, until Beast Boy noticed and started spreading around that you were dating - totally not true. However, in Bart's eyes it seemed to be enough to grow a pair and kiss you. His time was less than fortunate - maybe customs were different in the future but in that day and age you generally wouldn't have asked for your first kiss with him to be in front of your entire team.
Things with him were going great, at least until Tim snitched on the both of you to your father. Bruce was pissed that you were dating Bart. Not only did he not trust the speedster, he didn't want you dating anyone. You last boyfriend hadn't ended well and Bruce still had to be held back from breaking his bones.
"I've made my decision. That's final." Bruce was sitting in front of his computer. His cowl was down, but he refused to meet eyes with you. He could hear you pacing back and forth behind him. Anger rolled off you like waves - there was no way that he could do this to you. Not when he let you have so much responsibility as Batgirl.
"I'm sixteen! You can't just let me fight assholes every night but not let me have a boyfriend!" You yelled at him. It was beyond frustrating that he refused to look at you. It had only been a couple months that you were dating Bart but losing him hurt more than anything else. Bruce couldn't do this to you.
"I told you already. You're not dating that boy. He hasn't proved himself yet."
"Bart has proved himself over and over again! You just couldn't give him the time of day to notice!" You exclaimed. Bruce couldn't even bother to turn back and look at you as you defended your boyfriend. He didn't care for Bart from the start, and now more than ever he wasn't willing to give him a chance.
"I said no."
"Fuck you, Bruce," You finally snapped. As much as he hated when you swore and yelled at him like this, it happened more often than either of you were willing to admit. It was rare for you to ever see eye to eye with your farther. Dick was the same, Tim was learning. Jason was the only person that you seemed to constantly get along with and now he's gone.
Bruce still didn't turn to you. Without another word, you left the cave and headed straight to the nearest Zeta Tube. He couldn't stop you. Unless he wanted to pull you from that team - which he didn't - you would still see Bart every day. There was no way that he could keep you from seeing him.
It broke you knowing that your father wanted to take away the one thing that made you happy on that team. Did Dick know? Tim? Unlikely. Your chest ached at the betrayal. Fists clenched at your sides as you entered the cave and tears threatening to burn your eyes. Why did he have to be so damn persistent?
Instead of heading to your room like you wanted to, you went directly to the training room. There was no point in sulking over your hurt feelings when you could direct them to training. Bruce instilled that into you too. It seemed that all of your bad traits stemmed from him.
A sword twirled in your hand as the simulation started up. Fake assassins came at you from every angle  but none of them stood a chance against your anger. You moved effortlessly around the room, taking down every faux enemy in your way.
Sweat dripped down your body and you had lost track of how long you had been going at it. The sword began to feel heavy in your hands from swinging it around. Your muscles started to scream at you to stop but every time you tried, you got filled with another wave of rage. Fuck Bruce.
You had been so caught up that you hadn't noticed someone walk into the room. If you hadn't noticed the bright red hair, you would have assumed it to be another simulation. The tip of your sword stopped centimeters away from his eye. You had stopped yourself just in time.
Bart pushed your sword down and watched your chest heave up and down from the exertion that you had put yourself through. He raised his eyebrows as you said nothing to him, just turned away and put your weapon back in it's place. Sweat soaked your shirt and you realized how lightheaded you were.
Your hands gripped onto the table in front of you. Bart sped over and sat right by your hands. He watched your eyes squeeze shut before popping open at his appearance. Dating the kid of Batman meant he had to get used to the brooding - tonight it seemed different. He was worried.
"What's wrong?" Bart asked. For the first time, he sounded timid around you. He could see the look in your eyes, the way you pushed yourself that night, even how your muscles tense with frustration. Something had gone haywire when you were home in Gotham. "Hey," he placed his hand over yours to get your attention.
"Bruce," you scoffed. Bart knew you didn't always get along with your father. You'd come to him ranting and screaming about how neglected you felt you whole life. Whatever it was this time, it really must have gotten you riled. "Tim told him we're dating and now he's riding my ass about it. He doesn't want us together."
Confusion struck his face. He had never given Bruce, or your brothers, a reason to dislike him when it came to dating you. He was always kind and loving, never willing to let anyone hurt you. Sure, he might have been a bit odd compared to the others, but he was the only one to get you to truly open up on that team.
Bart clenched his jaw. What was he supposed to say? Batman scared him, a lot. He saw the tremble in your china and the way that you squeezed your eyes shut. Bart placed his palm on your cheek and kissed the corner of your lips. He didn't want to lose you.
He couldn't.
><
It seemed to be incredibly tense whenever you were around your family. You refused to talk to Bruce again and each time you were in the room with Tim everyone could feel how angry you were. He didn't mean to stir trouble when he told Bruce about your life with Bart, he didn't think he would react that badly.
Dick was trying his best to play mediator. He split you and Tim up whenever he got the chance and made sure to keep you and Bart together so he wouldn't get on your bad side as well. At the same time, Bruce continuously stopped in or asked Dick what was going on. Someone was always lurking over you when you were with Bart.
Whenever Batman was around, Bart became nervous - and distant. He didn't stand by you, sometimes he didn't even look at you. Though you knew that you couldn't blame him for being nervous around your father, it still made you angry. Not at him, never at him, but Bruce. He continuously fucked up your life.
The only way that Bart would ever get his approval was to defy death itself to be a hero. If Bruce was human and would put his life on the line, then he expected Bart to do so as well considering he had powers. His expectation was ridiculous, Bart risked his life every day right along side you on that team. Why did that not seem to be enough?
Bruce had another chat with you that evening. He stopped to the cave before you mission that evening. Unfortunately for you, it had been a bad time for him to come barging in without knocking. You and Bart had been tangled in your bed with needy kisses being shared.
You could still hear the coldness in his voice as he ordered Bart to leave. The tone he used when he yelled at you for still seeing him. The embarrassment you had when you left your room to join your team who had all heard you screaming match with your father. Bruce said nothing to your brothers, he only glared.
Dick assigned the teams for that night. You, Bart, and Gar were team beta. Bart looked hesitant to be near you again. To be honest, you couldn't blame him. Gar looked hesitant to be with you both, his eyes darted between you as if you had just broken up. That was far from the case - you weren't letting your father dictate you life like this.
As much as Bart knew this, it still made him weary. If there was one person that he never wanted to defy, it was the Bat. He still didn't know how you stood up to him so easily - swearing, calling him by his first name - he was your father. Then again, your relationship with him was far from perfect.
The mission itself seemed easy. A simple recon for your team - but just like nearly every recon mission that this team had - something went wrong. Things were going smoothly at first, at then gunshots started within the building and innocent screams being heard. You couldn't sit around while people were getting hurt.
So, breaking what you had promised Dick, you swooped in to save the people. Unfortunately for you, there were far more people than expected. Gar and Bart were out of sight and you couldn't rely on them in that moment. Your staff twirled around, taking down man after man. Bullets narrowly missed you, but at least the attention was off the civilians.
Bart had finally gotten back to you, he had been busy with his own men before he could join. "Impulse! Get the people out!" You shouted at him. Bart did as he was told, taking two at a time far away from the building and to safety while you held your own. Gar had finally caught up with you, too.
The two of you took out nearly every man in that building. All of them were unconscious or had surrendered. All except one. Gar could see the man behind you raise his gun, he yelled out trying to get your attention but it was too late. The trigger had been pulled and a bullet flew right towards you.
Bart felt like everything was happening in slow motion. He had just finished getting the last civilian to safety. When he ran back in he saw the bullet speeding at your chest. He pushed his legs faster than he had ever gone before to try and get you to safety as well. His hands out stretched to try and catch the bullet before it made contact.
Unfortunately for him, he had miscalculated the trajectory. Rather than catching the bullet in his palm, he had dove right in front of it. Bart stood there in shock as blood seeped from his chest. He looked over to you, fear in his eyes at the found. Had it not been for Beast Boy taking the shooter down, you would have been shot as well.
"Bart! No, no no," You panicked. He fell into your arms before hitting the ground. His blood soaked your hands as you put pressure on the wound to stop him from bleeding. Tears slipped down your face at the state of him. His face was contorted in pain and he was trying his best to be strong for you.
Gar dropped down to your side beside the both of you, worried as well. Bart placed his hand over yours and tried his best to smile up at you. "Speed healing, babe. You wouldn't have been so lucky." It was true, a bullet for him was an inconvenience for an hour, for you, it could have been a lifetime.
"I don't give a shit about your speed healing, Bart. I don't like seeing you hurt."
"Would have done it without it anyways. Anything to save you."
><
When you showed back up to the cave with blood on your hands and all of your suit, Bruce immediately went into protective mode. He assumed it to be yours and was ready to bite the head off of anyone involved. As expected, his blame was ready to go directly to Bart.
It wasn't until he saw the redness in your eyes and the way Gar held onto Bart like his life depended on it did he realize that you weren't hurt. You were fine, pissed and worried, but you would live. Bruce didn't say anything as you brought your boyfriend to the med bay to get stitched up.
Bart was going to just fine. Like he said, he had speed healing - you didn't. Had that bullet pierced your skin instead, you wouldn't have held on long enough to make it back to the cave like he did. You were grateful for him, as much as you thought him an idiot to do so.
Dick had convinced you to go wash up while he was in the med bay. His wound was nearly healed and he was on his way to be back to new within the hour. His healing abilities still went forgotten by you and getting it through your head that he was going to be okay was hard to accept.
However, Dick was right. You needed to get cleaned up sooner or later and seeing the blood on your hands was only a harsh reminder of what had happened. The sound of the gunshot echoed through your head, the look on his face as he realized he didn't catch the bullet but got hit by it, they were etched into your brain.
No matter how hard you scrubbed, you still couldn't rid the images out of your brain. Rashly, you jumped out of the shower and through on the closet pair of sweats and hoodie - both of which belonged to Bart. He was okay, but you needed to see him to make sure that he really was.
Water still dripped down you, leaving a trail of foot prints from your room all the way to the med bay. However, as you reached the room, you stopped in your tracks. Through the glass you could see your father standing over Bart. Your boyfriend was nodding along to whatever he was saying - a hint of fear in his face.
What could Bruce possible have to say to Bart? After what he had done for you, there was no way that he could rip a new one into him. Bart had saved your life, and if Bruce still couldn't see how good of a person that he was, you weren't sure what would.
Without another thought, you swung the door open. Both the men turned towards you, both happy to see you there.
"What the hell are you doing?" You snapped to Bruce. The conversation that he had with you before the mission bounced around in you mind. In what world was it good timing to try and break you up once more right after your boyfriend was shot trying to save your life. "How dare you come to Bart after he's saved my life and try to -"
"(Y/N)," Bart cut you off. "It's okay." Your eyebrows furrowed at his words. Okay? How was it okay that Batman was trying to split you apart? How was it okay that your own father couldn't accept that you loved Bart? Nothing about this was okay.
Bruce said nothing. He moved to stand directly in front of you. His hand squeezed your shoulder for a brief moment before leaving the two of you alone. Still unsure of what that meant, you turned your attention back to Bart who was now fully healed and ready to go.
Slowly, he sat up in the bed until his feet dangled off the edge. To your surprise, he didn't look stressed or worried from his previous conversation. Instead, there was a small smile spreading on his lips. It grew as you ran into his arms. All the fear you had washed away being held by him.
"I was so scared," You whispered. Bart pulled away from you to kiss you. His lips molded perfectly against your. This was long awaited, far too long. You needed his kiss, his touch, you missed it in the short time that he had been injured. "What did he say to you?"
"Thank you," he answered. Your eyes widened in shock - Bruce never said thanks to anyone, especially to someone he hated as much as Bart. "For keeping you safe. And happy. For loving you when he can't."
"Bruce? My father? Batman?" You questioned. There was no way that he said anything like that. Not when he was so adamant on getting you broken up this whole time. Bart nodded. "So he doesn't want us broken up anymore?"
"Babe, if all it took was getting shot I would have done that a long time ago," Bart laughed. You smacked his shoulder, wishing that he wouldn't joke about that. It petrified you to have him shot right in front of you. The fear you had nearly wasn't worth your father's approval. "I'm kidding. Sort of. Not at all, actually. I'd do it again for you."
"No the hell you wouldn't," you scolded. "I swear Bart Allen for someone who thinks as quickly as you do, you make some dumb decisions."
"Part of my charm," Bart chuckled. He kissed your lips one more time before standing up. A coy look flashed in his eyes - that was never good from him. "There are some ways that you could make it up to me, ya know? I mean a man takes a bullet for you.. that sounds worthy of something special."
"Are you thinking kisses or a ridiculous amount of Big Belly Burger because I could go for either right now."
"Babe, it's like you read my mind."

OG young justice team with demigod S/O's (like from percy Jackson)
Aqualad:
Tumblr media
Obviously, you’re the child of Poseidon
Date nights aren’t too showy, often going out on swims or a simple movie night.
If you ever need help adjusting to the mortal world, Kalur will be very understanding and does very well in teaching how to adjust and fit in.
Doesn’t mind you’re more powerful than him but he will still be a little worried for you in battle.
If you want to learn hand-to-hand combat, he’d be more than happy to teach you.
If you’re anything like your father, you are ruthless to anyone who dares to cross you, and crossing Kaldur is like crossing you so he kinda has to reel you back in when you get too threatening.
You two are very much the parents of the Team, making sure everyone’s okay and lightly scolding them when they’ve done bad.
It’s a very secure relationship since you two trust each other completely.
He’s very easy to make blush if you kiss him or any other kind of PDA, especially if you do it in front of someone in the League.
“(Y/n), you could get us in trouble.”
“Sorry, Kal, I couldn’t resist.~”
Robin:
Tumblr media
You’re the child of Athena (well, more like an adopted kid but you still inherit some of her abilities) which makes sense considering that Robin is a tricky little bird.
Much like him and Batman, the two of you don’t need to talk in battle since you guys seem to think alike.
He also doesn’t mind that you’re more powerful than him unless you embarrass him in front of Batman or something, then he gets all flustered and pouty.
You’re a sucker for that creepy laugh and cute smile of his.
Will offer to teach you hand-to-hand combat if you decline he’s fine and won’t pry into the matter any further, but if you say ‘yes’ then he’s gonna get so excited.
If you also have trouble adjusting to a mortal lifestyle, then he doesn’t mind helping you introducing you to ‘normal’ mannerisms.
You’re accepted into the Batfamily with no problems or qualms at all, you’re just one of them, so accept it.
Expect a lot of greek mythology pick-up lines that backfire on him when you correct him mid pick-up line about a fact or something about a family member.
“Alright, so in order to succeed in this mission, you’re going to have to-”
“Take out all the system remotely while also creating a distraction so you can slip past? Good idea, (Y/n).”
“I am so in love with you right now.”
Kid Flash:
Tumblr media
Child of Hermes, loud and proud!
Since Wally doesn’t believe in magic, you like to fuck around with him by doing...you know, magic!
It’s very entertaining for you to watch him struggle trying to justify your magic and abilities but go off, I guess?
You two still love each other deeply, being one of those couples that are incredibly obnoxious but you know that they’d take a bullet for the other.
Expect him to challenge you to races to prove whose faster, you or him.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you don’t. Wally knows when you purposely lose a race and when you don’t so don’t think you can get away with going easy on him.
As for adjusting to the mortal world, you’re don’t really need help. After all, you adapted pretty quickly, which is another thing Wally loves.
Someone who can roll with the punches.
He denies the fact he’s dating a bonafide demigod and calls you his ‘Diety’ or ‘God/Goddess’ for the sake of irony.
“Hey, I realized if we had kids would they be like 25% god or something?”
“If we had kids, they’d be 100% awesome!”
Superboy:
Tumblr media
Child of the war god, himself, Ares.
How you and Conner start to get close is when you're being shunned by your aunt Diana because your dad and she don’t have the best track record, he feels your pain and you two kid of bond over that.
Play roughhousing isn’t uncommon but you two are a lot softer than you seem, favoring to cuddle in comfy silence with each other instead.
Literal war couple, both of you equal in power and strength and can trust that the other has your back during a battle.
Both of you adjust to normal human mannerisms together, since you’re both kinda clueless about it.
You two also bring out a softer side in each other because you two know you can vulnerable around the other without fear of ridicule or teasing. You guys just understand each other.
Only gets better when Wolf joins because now you three are in the living room just napping in a comfy doggy pile.
Both of you are resting your heads on a napping wolf where your cuddling Conner, the Team is surprised to see that he’s the little spoon, but know better than to bring it up.
Villians are very hesitant to fight you two because they know that separate, you guys can be taken down, but together you guys can raise hell if angry.
“Oh! Sorry if I hurt you, Conner!”
“As if you could.”
Miss Martian:
Tumblr media
Child of Demeter and I might be going off Lore Olympus because why not?
You can see M’gann’s real form but it doesn’t scare you after all if you can handle seeing a god’s true form then you can handle M’gann’s.
You two are literally the cutest since your often baking with each other, watching her favorite reality TV show, or just being wholesome.
You two get very awkward when it comes to PDA so it’s nothing more than comforting shoulder pats and the occasional kiss on the cheek.
Both of you have shape-shifting abilities but you’re slightly more mastered in yours, so you offer to help her whenever you can.
You both listen to each other intently as she tells you about Mars and you tell her all about Olympus.
Someone help Psimon if he thinks that he can hurt your M’gann because there won’t be a god or goddess alive that can save him from your wrath. You’re Demeter’s kid, after all.
You don’t mean to but you kind of reinforce her intrusive mind-reading behavior but that’s only because it was also a normal part of your childhood so if she’s apologizing for accidentally reading your mind, you tell her it’s fine.
The team has to step in and remind you why it’s a bad thing.
“Oh cool! You made me cookies!”
“Well, you were thinking about them earlier and- Hello, M’gann! I did it again...”
Artemis:
Tumblr media
You’re the child of Apollo (I feel like it makes more sense) so it does feel kind of weird that you’re dating someone with the same name as your aunt.
Think of nicknames for her quick because you honestly can’t bring yourself to call her ‘Artemis’ unless it’s an emergency or if you really want something.
If she ever feels insecure about herself being a hero or her abilities as an archer, you are going to make sure to list all the reasons why she is THE BEST hero until she’s back to her fully confident self.
You’d feel very honored if she told you about her past and congratulate her about it, acknowledging how brave she was to tell you something so personal.
But seriously, how can she feel so insecure when she’s literally dating a demi-god? I mean, that’d be a pretty big ego-booster in my opinion.
There are nights where you two just like to stargaze as you point from constellation to constellation and tell them her about all the stories behind them.
If I had to choose who influences who more, I’d have to say you. The only reason why is that your able to warm up and get close to Artemis in way no one has for a long time, you’d rather die than break her trust, and she really finds it assuring knowing that you’ll be with her through thick and thin.
Her mom really likes you since you’re a big motivator for Artemis to stay on the straight and narrow.
There’s mutual respect between you and Cheshire and Sportsmaster not only because of your skills but because of your adamancy on keeping Artemis safe and your loyalty to her.
“Do you have my back?”
“(Y/n), you know I always do.”
Zatanna:
Tumblr media
The child of Hecate, demi-god of magic.
Klarion is very fearful when fighting against Zatanna, he may be a Chaos Lord, but you’re literally the child of magic incarnate so he’d rather not.
You like to attend Zatanna’s shows and have a look of amazement and awe every time, even though Zatanna is pretty sure you’re much more capable of her when it comes to the mystic arts.
Bitch, you’re mom MADE the mystic arts, yet you just like seeing your Zee perform.
She looks so happy, so at peace, and it just makes your heart flutter thinking about it.
During the events of ‘Misplaced’, you got so scared when she put on the Dr. Fate helmet because even you couldn’t get it off and you knew there was no amount of magic that could. You thought you were gonna lose your Zee.
You feel guilty admitting this but you felt so glad when Zatara traded spots, yes Zatanna had become distant with you, but you’d rather have that than her being enslaved to the helmet till the end of her days.
She warms up to you again and apologizes while you assure her there’s nothing to apologize for. You two plan a whole weekend where you can catch up and spend time with each other, just you two.
You help her whenever you can when it comes to magic but she knows you do it more for yourself than for her, but can she really blame you? You just want to spend as much time as you can with her.
“Zee! That was amazing, you’re improving so much!”
“Well, I had a great teacher, (Y/n).”

Lucky Dog. (Secret Satan Gift for Ness)
Hi @bitterarttrees, I was your secret Satan! I hope you enjoy your gift!
If there was anything it took to survive the decrepit state of the former animation studio, it was sheer luck. However, for our canine companion, it seemed like something he didn’t have at the moment. First, his arm gets sawed off by some nutcase when he had tried to gather the spoils from the menace’s past victims, but now he has to deal with these three loons.
“Thief!”
Cried the lost one as she swung her hammer down, only narrowly missing Tom’s head. The man had gotten himself caught up in a supply run gone wrong, he had known that the suspiciously close together pile of supplies was gathered by someone else, but as they seemed untouched and nobody was around them, he assumed that whoever gathered was long gone and he couldn’t just go back empty handed.
“Murderer!”
Cried her companion as it threw its axe down by his feet, missing its target. If he wasn’t currently clutching the bleeding stump that used to be his other arm, he would’ve happily grabbed it and used it against the frenzied mob. But as of right now, all he could do was run.
“Betrayer!”
Cried a third lost one who wielded what looked like some sort of giant pitchfork, not that he would’ve stayed to find out what it really was.
“Face punishment for your sins, you wretched beast!”
All three of them cried out in unison as he sped down the hall and ducted into the air vents, slamming them closed behind him and blocking it with his lantern and whatever else he could find to keep them out before army-crawling away from the vent’s opening as fast as he could. However, this didn’t stop them from calling out after him as he fled.
“If we don’t get you, the dogcatcher will!”
“We’ll tell! And you’ll get what you deserve!”
“You’re dead meat!”
“I can survive this, I just need to get back to the safe house and wait for Allison to get back...”
He thought to himself as he powered through his pain and exhaustion.
“I just have to find... my way back…”
Fuck.
He didn’t know where in the studio he was! He rarely went through the vents and doubted he’d ever use them again after this, crawling through them with only one arm and stopping to cover the think and thin ink coming out of the stump every few minutes was really fucking uncomfortable.
Not to mention, it was a pain to navigate the maze without a light, he kept bumping his snout into the metal walls and often ended up having to shimmy himself out of dead ends that he didn’t see. He almost cursed himself for abandoning his own light source.
Almost, he’d still take this annoying nonsense over whatever those lost ones would do to him any day of the week. Thank goodness he got away from them in time and didn’t have to worry about them or-
*BRRRRRRRRMMMMMM!!!* *BRRRRRRRMMMMM!!!* *Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
“Oh Coooooooonneeeeeeer, weeeeee knooooooow yoooooooou’re hiiiiiiiiding in hereeee…”
“Speak of the fucking devil…”
He jinxed it. Of course he jinxed it, today just wasn’t his day, was it?
He didn’t recognise the airy, sing-song voice of the person outside the air vents, but if the sound of a chainsaw revving was anything for him to go by, whoever it was was not friendly.
“Coooooooome oooooooooon oooouuuuuuut Tommy~ You wouldn’t want to make me ANGRY, would you? Why don’t you just come out so we can taaaaaaalk~”
Tom huffed in annoyance within the safety of the air vent maze, not amused by the person’s pouty tone.
“Found you.”
In hindsight, maybe he should’ve just stayed still until the chainsaw-wielding foe left the area.
*BRRRRRRZZZZZZZZZZZ* *BRRRRRRRRRZZZZZZZZZ*
“YAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!”
Tom’s pursuer cackled maniacally as his chainsaw began to cut into the vents themselves. Naturally, he didn’t stick around to see the business end of the Dogcatcher’s weapon, but he was running out of places to run, running out of hope, and worst of all, running out of ink, if his wounded stump was anything to go by.
And the pursuer knew this.
“Nighty night Conner!”
The smiling silhouette of the chainsaw-wielding maniac happily chimed as everything faded to black.
No, it couldn’t end like this! It just couldn’t! He couldn’t just leave Allison alone by herself in this hell hole! Even if neither of them could escape, there were still so many reasons why he had to stay! He never had the chance to tell Allison how much he loved her! Or the chance to tell her what-
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
....
……..
It was the smell of hot bacon soup that woke him up.
Not the regular bacon soup that was basically just the canned crap heated up oh no, the smell of this soup had a distinctly different smell. It had hints of added fish, plants, and assorted mushrooms that made the stuff that he and Allison were normally sick of more palatable.
Tom rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, waking up to find that he was back in his bed and that his bleeding stump was bandaged up, along with a wound on his chest he had gotten when that chainsaw-wielding motherfucker had him.
Allison must’ve found him before...
He sat up from his bed, ignoring the burning pain from his ribs that would otherwise force him to sit back down. There was a bowl of fresh soup by his bedside, but in spite of his growling stomach, he ignored it. He staggered awkwardly as he looked around, but thankfully, he didn’t have to look very far to find her.
“Tom! What are you doing?! You clearly need to rest!”
The wolf nodded, but instead of going back to bed, he wrapped his arm and his stump around her.
“Tom?”
“I Love you, you mean so much to me, you deserve the best, I wish I could give it all to you-”
As the wolf kept speaking, tears poured down his face and muzzle, either he didn’t notice this, or he did and just didn’t care.
The false angel hugged him back.
“It’s okay Tom... You’re okay... I’m here...”

As I Lost My Heart in You
When you’re 16, initials of your soulmate appears on your wrist. It varies by person, but everyone usually spends time trying to find theirs.  It doesn’t always mean that there’s going to be a relationship, sometimes you spend your whole life trying to find your soulmate.
Title from Mariah Carey's Underneath the Stars.

Beca Mitchell got hers the week of her 16th birthday. She didn’t believe in soulmates and initials. Her dad and her mom had their initials, but they had gotten divorced, her mom died of cancer, and while she was fighting it, her dad had found his ‘soulmate’. She couldn’t forgive her father for ding that to her mother.  But she had gotten her initials whether she liked them or not, two letters, CB in cursive.
By that time, she had figured that she was gay, and she had dated a few people.
Her first girlfriend, was Juliana Taylor, but they had broken up, just because they weren’t feeling ‘it’ anymore. Juliana had BM on her wrist, but it probably wasn't her anyways.
She’d decided she’d give boys a try when Conner Basin asked her out. It was less of a date and more of a hangout with a bro, but she had figured he wasn’t the one either, after he had criticized Beca’s favorite video game. He had said the graphics were bad, and that the settings weren’t enough. Beca had called for her friend Stacie to come pick her up at the mall right away, which she did, with her flavor of the week, Jesse Owens.
Boys were a no-go.
Two years later, she was off to college, Barden University, full ride by her father, who is a faculty at Barden. Stacie went along with her, but with a full ride scholarship with her amazing high school grades. Barden had a weird rule about roommates, where everyone had their roommates select randomly by the housing office. That meant that she couldn’t room with Stacie, and she was bunked with Kimmy-Jin, the international student from Korea. Stacie had been roomed with a girl named Alisha, who stacie couldn’t stand. Stacie was literally trying to find a sorority just for their housing.
Chloe Beale had gotten her initials on her 16th birthday. She didn’t have one before her party, but somehow had one when she took a shower that night. It was a BM in bold letters. She had tried hard to find her soulmate, but couldn’t find anyone that was the ‘one’. She had dated a Bobby Markham, but his birth name was Robert, which made his initials RM, thus making it impossible for him to be her soulmate. But where was the rush anyways? She was still 17. She had college plus a few more years to figure out this whole soulmate thing.
She was off to Barden which had an amazing pre-vetrenary program. She met her best friend, Aubrey Posen during her first year biology class, and they had joined the Barden Bellas together soon after. She started dating Bay Matthews, a boy going to Georgia State at a party during the summer, but had broken up due to him being very possessive.
She had worked hard in the Bellas until her junior year, the senior Bellas that year were a bitch. The captain, Alice was the worst of them all. She bossed everyone around, and made Aubrey and Chloe do all the hard work. She was sick and tired of being bossed around like disposable objects. She had been so happy when the seniors graduated and they were finally the leaders of the group. She and Aubrey had decided to become co-captains instead of closing one leader for their group. After Aubrey and the puke incident, they were out of members and desperate to get freshmen on their team.  During the activities fair on the quad, they had to ask so many girls to join,  they couldn’t keep track. Although their determination, not a lot of people seemed to be interested. Chloe had almost given up when a beautiful brunette had walked past, not interested at first, but had taken their flier.  She had said that acapella was lame, and that she didn’t even sing. That made Aubrey nearly puke, but Chloe had hope.
One day, she’s taking a shower, actually, hooking up in the shower with her flavor of the month or two, Tom, when she hears Davis Guetta’s Titanium sung by a beautiful voice. She stops mid  kiss and walks out of her stall to try to find the owner of her beautiful voice.
“You can sing!” She’s surprised to see the brunette she had just seen at the activities fair in the afternoon.
“Dude!” She closes the curtains, but Chloe opens them back and asks her about how high her belt goes, and about how she should Jon the Bellas.
They sing together, and Chloe leaves the brunette’s shower stall with her boy toy.  What she realizes is that she gad forgotten to ask her her name. All she had managed to see was the brunettes initials on her wrist, which had her initials, CB.
The day of the audition comes, and the brunette decides to arrive at the audition, and sings a song with cups at the end. She can tell that Aubrey is pissed at the fact that she was the best in all of the auditions, and Chloe convinces Aubrey to let her join the Bellas.
After the audition, she finds out that the brunette’s name is Beca Mitchell from the papers Chloe had asked her to fill out.
Beca Mitchell. Chloe’s already so interested in her.
They start with 10 girls on invitation night. The next day, two girls are dismissed, breaking their Bellas promise of not sleeping with a Treblemaker.
Beca didn’t think that shed be joining a female acapella group, and actually taking part in it. Her dad had told her that if she tried her first year, and she still wanted to become a DJ in LA despite trying hard to participate in college life, that he’d let her. That was the biggest reason that she had joined the Bellas, and second being that Chloe, the girl who had caught her at the activities fair, and barged into her shower, was kind of hot. Maybe some hot girl motivation couldn’t hurt. Right?
After the incident at the Semi-finals of the ICCAs, she was definitely getting banned from the group. They had fallen in third place after Beca had sung bulletproof during their set. Aubrey had gotten angry, and she had gotten accused of sleeping with Jesse by her. She was for sure banned from the group.
Thats what she thought, when she got a message from Chloe during the break. The Bellas were back in the Finals, and that she wanted Beca to join the practice on Monday. She thought she was going to be banned, so the message took her by surprise, but talking it through with her dad, she had decided she would go back to practice.
She walks into the auditorium 15 minutes late, when Aubrey is puking her head off, and all the girls are trying to get ahold of the pitch pipe.
She stops the whole argument, and the group shares an amazing moment and the next second, Aubreys tossing her pitch pipe over to Beca. She mis-catches it, and it lands in the pile of puke. Gross.
They head to the pool and have an impromptu mashup session where they find their harmony. They all hug, and Beca somehow catches a glance at Chloes wrist, which says BM. She tries to shake it off of her mind, but she fails.
Chloe had a BM on her wrist, and Beca has a CB. Could this mean that they could be soulmates? But Chloe hasn’t ever said that she was gay, and didn’t she have a boyfriend in the shower that day?
Beca tries to forget.
She really tries.
Beca didn’t believe in soulmates. At least that’s what she had thought. Right?
When she gets back to her dorm after practice one day, she tries to work on her mixes.  She can’t seem to concentrate on anything. Chloe had looked at her more than usual, and Beca was getting nervous. Did she have something to say to her?  Had she done something wrong?
Thats when she gets a knock on the door. Its usually Kimmy-Jin’s friends, so she lets the girl answer it, but to her surprise, what she hears next is a voice that belongs to Chloe.
“Hey Beca. Can I talk to you for a second?” She asks, and Beca looks at her from her desk.
“Yeah. Sure. What’s up?”
Chloe frowns, “Outside maybe?” Beca nods, getting up and walking out the room.
“What’s  up?” Beca asks the ginger as she walks down the hall, and out the door, and she knows she’s heading to the Bellas house. The Bellas had a house, the house Tri Delta had used before moving to a new buildings. It was basically a sorority house, and they were allowed to move in from sophomore year.
“What’s up with you? You’re acting strange lately. “ Chloe says to her.
Beca shrugs. “Its nothing.  N-nothing in general. “ She answers nervously.
“You saw my initials didn’t you?”
Shit. Had Chloe seen her that night?
“You did, huh?” Chloe says turning her wrist to show Beca. “Look, I saw yours in the shower that day. CB. Right?”
Beca nods, a bit more comfortable.
“And you’ve been thinking about this, correct?” She asks her. Beca nods again. “That we have each other’s initials.”
“I don’t even believe in soulmates…..”Beca mutters, looking into Chloe’s eyes.
“They don’t have to be relationships, you know.”
“Yeah, have you seen anyone with a soulmate friendship? They always end up dating, or getting married, or whatever. “Beca scoffs.
Chloe doesn’t say anything. She can’t find anything to say. She tries, but no words come out.
“See. And I don’t believe in this whole soulmates bullshit anyways. Can I go now?” She doesn’t wait for Chloes answer, and just leaves the building, leaving Chloe behind her. She doesn’t know why her aches so much, but she pushes her feelings down, and goes back to her room, crawls into bed, and lets her tears shed. Why was she crying right now?
Chloe stands there in silence, not being able to say anything. She doesn’t know how long she’s just standing in the doorway, until Aubrey comes back from her meeting with her professor.
“God, Chloe. You almost gave me a heart attack. Chloe? Chloe!” She holds on to her shoulder and shakes her.
“Huh? Oh, it’s nothing. I’m just a bit tired.” She shakes it off, trying to escape from Aubrey’s tightening grip on her shoulders.
“Oh bullcrap. I know you so well Chloe.” She scoffs. “What’s wrong Chloe? Is it Tom? Because if he’s hurting you, I swear to god Chloe, I’m gonna kill him….”
“No no. It’s not Tom.”
“What is it then? Its Beca isn’t it? Oh my god Chloe. It is! What happened with ear monstrosities?”
“Nothing. Can you leave me alone?” She runs up to her room and slams the door shut, and bursting into tears. Why did she have to be like that to Aubrey? She knows she shouldn’t have, and she’s regretting it so much. And she shouldn’t have confronted Beca. Now she had ruined her relationship with Beca and Aubrey.
Somehow, she’s managed to fall asleep, and she’s woken up with a gentle knock on the door. “Chloe. I’m sorry about earlier. Can I come in?” She hears Aubrey’s voice. She gets out of bed, and opens the door.
“Chloe I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have stepped in. I just don’t want you to get hurt, you know.” She say, giving her a hug.
“I know Bree.” She sighs, burying her face in Aubrey’s shoulder.
“Do you like her Chloe?”Aubrey asks, and she doesn’t even need to answer. “I know Chloe. It’s okay.” She rubs her back as Chloe sobs into her shoulder.
Beca ’s about to miss two days of classes when her father comes in to her room. “Beca. Wake up. Beca?”
She flutters her eyes open. “Huh?”
“Beca. What’s wrong? I know you’re upset at me but you’re upset for a whole another reason. What’s up?”He asks.
“NOthinggggg. Just some soulmate bullshit.”
“Beca, are we talking about me and your mother, because…” He tries to start but Beca intervenes.
“No. It’s not about you and mom or you and Sheila. It’s about my soulmate. That is, if there is even one anymore.” She scoffs.
“Who do you think it is?”
“Chloe.”
“Chloe in the Bellas. Chloe Beale?” He opens his eyes wide. “Oh Beca. That’s great!”
“No it isn’t. I just messed up our whole friendship. I just yelled at her and ran off.” She says looking down.
“Oh Beca, go talk to her. You might even find out that she’s not even your soulmate.” He says patting her on her shoulder. “Now go talk to her or go to your philosophy class.” He says to her and leaves the room.
Now Beca had no choice. She had to go see Chloe. Right? She gets up, takes a shower and gets ready to head to the auditorium to find Chloe.
Chloe decided that she would keep skipping practice until she was okay, and that probably meant for eternity. That’s why she’s surprised, when she hears a knock at the door. It couldn’t be anyone other than Aubrey, right? But Aubreys at practice right now, and she always texts before she comes back, asking if she needed anything from the mini-mart. That meant someone else was at the door. Right? What if its a…..
“Chloe?” The door opens and Chloe jumps, but there she is, Beca Mitchell, standing in front of the doorway of Chloe’s room.
“Oh my god Beca! You’re gonna give me a heart attack!” She says now trying to calm herself down. Her heart was pounding and it didn’t seem to stop. Was it her being scared, or was it because Beca’s here?
“I’m sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you. I went to the auditorium, and you weren’t there. Aubrey gave me her keys and told me you were here.” She says as she slowly steps into the room. “I should’ve called. Or whatever….” She mutters, waiting for permission to come into the room. “I needed to talk to you.” Chloe shifts in her bed, making room for Beca to sit, and she takes it as an go sign to walk into the room.
“What’s up?” Chloe says in her most normal-im-okay-but-kinda-not tone.
“Soulmates.” She just says, looking at Chloe.
“Soulmates.” She repeats. “What about them?” She grips her fist tight, nails turning her palms white as she clutches. She’s nervous. She didn’t realize it until now, but she’s nervous. She’s nervous about what Beca is going to say. How it might change their relationship forever. How it might just come crashing down.
“What do you think about them? Do you believe in it?” Beca pauses. “Do you think we are?”
She’s been waiting for her to say this to hear her say it. She looks into her eyes. Beca’s beautiful blue eyes are twinkling. her tears are just barely there, right before spilling out of her eyes.
“Beca. I can’t. I can’t anymore…. I can’t pretend like we don’t have chemistry. Like we aren’t meant to be. I can’t do this anymore. Please tell me if I’m crazy, and I’m the only one feeling this between us. Because I’ll stop. I’ll stop if this is just me. So tell me. Am I the only one feeling our chemistry? The way sparks fly when we look at each other, how we slipped into it own world, that days in the shower? Tell me. please….” Chloe lets her tears spill out of her eyes, down her cheeks, and onto the comforter.
“Chloe….” Beca says, looking into her eyes, with her own tears down her cheeks. “I’m messed up. I’m damaged goods. You don’t want me….”
“I do though Beca. I really do. I can’t fight this anymore.”
That moment, no-one really knows what happens, or who kissed who first. It doesn’t matter anymore. Their lips touch, and their hands are around one another, and it’s perfect. No-one could break this moment.
“I love you Beca. I can’t help but love you.” Chloe smiles as she says so, lips still touching.
“I think I love you too Beale.” Beca chuckles.
“You THINK!? Beca THINK!? You don’t love me?” Chloe pouts, jokingly pushing her away.
“Yeah, yeah, fine. I love you Beale. There! Happy?” She says pecking her lip once again.
They’re kissing each other back and fourth, enjoying their moment together when they hear a knock on the door, and then the door opens.
“Finally. What took you so long?” Aubrey chuckles as she looks at them from the doorway.
“Nothing. Beca just had to realize that I was here.”Chloe chuckles as she pokes the younger brunette.
“Heyyyyyy!” Beca pouts, burying her face in Chloe’s hair.
“You two are disgustingly adorable. Don’t hurt her Beca. Or else, I’ll hunt you down and murder you. I’m not kidding.” Aubrey ays as she walks out.
“I love you too!” Chloe giggles kissing Beca’s head. “So are you going to come back to practice now?” She asks as she wraps her arms around Beca and pulls her down to her bed, making them lay down.
“Yeah, I guess so. I mean, you’re gonna drag me to them now right?” Beca asks, lifting her head up, and looking at the ginger’s eyes.
“Yup. That’s totally going to happen. But don’t worry. It’ll be worth it.” She gives a quick peck on the lips. “So, does this mean you’re gonna be mine girlfriend?”
“Um…… I guess?”
“Um… YOU GUESS!? Seriously? Get out of my room!” She jokingly pushes the brunette off of her.
“Sorry! Sorry! I would love to be your girlfriend. “ She says to her, trying to not get pushed off of the bed.
“Awwwww. Yay!” She wraps her arms back around her.
“Love you too. “ Beca says laying back on top of her.  She didn’t believe in soulmates before, but now she did, and it’s a good change for her. She knows she’s going to be so much happier, and maybe Barden wasn’t that bad after all.
She then realizes that Chloe’s a senior.
But right now, it doesn’t matter, she presses a gentle kiss on the ginger’s lips and closes her eyes, falling asleep.
