okay. here is my 1600+ words essay on raphael. if anyone would like to adress anything from it, please do but keep it civil! i am so damn invested in this topic, i wanna hear everyone's thoughts

raphael rant

(DISCLAIMER: this essay was not written in order to justify Raphael as a character or any of his actions or intentions. i am completely skipping any point of morality, whether my own or just in general, i simply wanted to somehow try and write my feelings and thoughts down while looking at the whole thing from a subjective point of view, analyzing the design of the game, the plotline and his whole persona and just.. idk i wanted to see whether anyone else felt the way i do because i have been going INSANE over this for the past few days)

hi. i have come here today to express my thoughts and feelings on Raphael the cambion and "his final act". this is being randomly and spontaneously written in my notes app so please excuse the absolute chaos that this essay will be (no i won't be rereading it, fuck it we ball) (CONTAINS BG3 ACT III SPOILERS!!)

first of all — i am so beyond devastated that he gets killed. and not just by anyone, he gets killed BY US. THE PLAYER. WE AS THE PLAYER DELIVER THE FINAL BLOW THAT ENDS HIS EXISTENCE. not only is that very upsetting (because come on, hot devil man, obviously i don't wanna kill him??) but it also makes me feel so.. awful. like, everything about this is wrong and i hate the fact that there is no other option.

because let's review the course of the story in the house of hope:

- we barge into his house unannounced, uninvited, while he is absent

- we invade his privacy by entering what's his own personal space (yes, i know he stole it from Hope in the first place but that is not the point here — whatever his devil business is, it's still HIS, you know?? like he is a devil, this is the kinda stuff they do and honestly? i didn't want to stick my nose into it. but obviously i did because tHe sToRy etc etc. but still, it was his own thing that basically doesn't affect the player in any way so TECHNICALLY you dont have to free Hope. you can, if your character's moral compass advises so, but it doesn't affect the main plot.)

- we then proceed to walk around his house freely, lie to his archivist in order to look at the stuff we're already planning to steal

- we meet his personal incubus whom then we have the chance to either use or kill (i fought Haarlep so that's the point of view i'm looking from at this here, in which case i also robbed their corpse) and we rob his safe. and his whole bedroom actually. we read his journals. we use his bath.

- then obviously we go and rob his entire archive which includes all of his most precious possessions

- upon stealing, we slaughter every single creature in his house, fighting our way through to get to Hope's prison

- we then kill the two spectators he has guarding her (they were probably super hard to obtain??) and we just. free his prisoner. because yeah, that is the right thing to do, IM NOT SAYING THAT'S WRONG, but let's say we skip morality for a second, let's just focus on the fact that we have no ulterior motives in freeing Hope. we just wanna mess with HIS business because why not since we're already ruining all of his plans.

- and then we have the audacity to try to leave before he comes back and act like we were never there while his entire house is turned to shit.

now let's look at this list again but this time keep in mind the fact that at that point, he hasn't done A SINGLE THING to us. like, he has never harmed us, he treated us with (let's call it) "respect" and politeness, he was fine with our hesitation towards his deal and was willing to give us time. he was never aggressive towards us, he was never "the enemy".

and now you can say - okay wtf is wrong with you, that man literally admitted his intention of conquering the worlds, enslaving all mortals and basically becoming the tyrant of all while also most likely stealing everyone's souls for his own pleasure.

yes, he did, and yes, that's bad. but just because those were his intentions does not give us the right to do all that shit to him AND THEN KILL HIM. AS IF WE HAD THE RIGHT TO SERVE JUSTICE HERE?? YEAH HIS PLANS ARE EVIL BUT IT IS NOT UP TO US TO DICTATE HIS CONSEQUENCES. HIS PLANS WOULD ONLY SUCCEED IF WE GAVE HIM THE CROWN IN THE END, SO JUST- DON'T?? LIKE DO YOU GET WHAT I MEAN. IM NOT TRYING TO JUSTIFY HIS ACTIONS OR INTENTIONS, BY ALL MEANS. i'm just trying to express how weird this all made me feel because not everyone decides to play as the selfless, lawfully good hero of all, protecting the world from all evil, ever! this is roleplay, afterall!

and them obviously he comes home. he is furious, as he should be. but mostly he's betrayed because, as weird as it may be, he trusted us. he admitted to growing "quite fond of us, in his own way". he thought we were some weird sort of.. acquaintances? friends maybe? (again, i know most of our relationship with him is mostly just him manipulating us but still, it's quite clear he wasn't expecting this betrayal) and we just barged in there and disrespected him in the worst way possible. so obviously he wants to kill us now and obviously we can kill him since he's just a boss in a game. and that's what we do. and then.. that's it. we're the good guys. we ruined a man's whole career because we needed one of his toys, murdered him in his own house and just left. and we're supposed to be the good guys.

i think the source of my problem is that Raphael is never introduced as evil. we don't meet him as the big bad villain that we know we'll have to kill at some point. i swear to god, at the beginning of act 3 i trusted that man way more than i trusted the Emperor and i was so close to agreeing to his deal just because i felt like i could trust him and he would keep me safe (for some reason, let's blame it on those wonderful eyes of his).

we meet him so early on in the game and he follows through all 3 acts, making it feel like he's gonna be some key character that will matter in the end - turns out, no! we were just supposed to rob and kill him. and that's literally it. talk about wasted potential.

when i first met him i got the "unofficial narrator" vibes from him, as if he was only supposed to seem intimidating and "evil" but you could sense there was so much more to him and i was dying to see how his story would unwrap. i was so ready for a redemption act, a plot twist, anything. man was i disappointed. because how cool would it be if he turned out to be a part of the "gather your allies" quest?? imagine having him as an ally and an ACTUAL friend in the end??

and don't even GET ME STARTED on what the orb in Helsik's shop shows you after you kill him. the fact that he's not even dead yet but ABOUT TO BE DEVOURED BY MEPHISTOPHELES. ABOUT TO BE DEVOURED. BY HIS FATHER. HE. WHAT. THATS THE ENDING HE GETS. and we are the ones that served it to him when he got RIGHTFULLY pissed at us for doing all that shit to him. and im supposed to just be fine with it?? i'm supposed to feel like this was the ending he deserved and i did the right thing??

god what i would give for a different way. idk. striking a new deal with him. saving him from Mephistopheles afterwards. REDEMPTION ARC?? ANYTHING?? NO? THATS IT THEN?

now i know that you dont HAVE to kill him, you can either agree to his deal or just ignore him and the house of hope altogether. but that just defeats the whole purpose of this character?? agreeing to his deal and giving him the crown at the end results in a pretty bad ending and ignoring him means that yeah, you don't have to kill him but you also don't get anything else from him anymore. like he has no other endings, just either death or his big evil plans. and for a game with so many choices and so much branching, it just feels almost weird that that's all he is there for. then why do we meet him in act 1? why does he follow through to act 2? (yeah, astarion, i know, but i cant help but feel like they could have put a completely different way to read his runes there if they didnt want Raphael specifically to help us) WHY ARE WE ALREADY SO USED TO HIM BY THE TIME HE PRESENTS HIS DEAL? if the whole hammer business is the only thing he's in the game for, then we may have as well been introduced to him only in act 3 during the whole Voss quest. but we knew him already and he felt like some sort of a.. friend lets call it? idk. this just does not make sense to me and makes me genuinely so sad.

as i'm writing this, it's the third day after ive completed the house of hope and i literally can not think about anything else. like my mind is just going on and on about this and i cant get over it!! im actually GRIEVING a fictional devil and i dont know what to do with all these.. thoughts.

so now i actually genuinely MISS THAT MF. I MISS HIM. GIVE HIM BACK. I WASN'T DONE AND NEITHER WAS HE. PLEASE PLEASE LARIAN I CAN FIX HIM—

okay i think thats it for now. idk i wrote this so chaotically i already forgot what i said and didnt say. im just. im feeling so many things. im so fucking sad and mad that this is how it ends. rest in peace hot devil man i will never forget you.

more thoughts

big part of why i loathe what totk did with its story and lore is that it tremendously hurts botw in retrospect

i said that before and mentioned all of these points before as well but i just have to mention it again; how totk did away with all the little mysteries in botw, like the ancient hero looking kinda strange leading to lots of interesting theories- WHOOP its a sonau mix guy revealed through a collectable and its straight up said by purah/impa that that is the ancient hero .. like it was an always known fact ......

the sonau ruins in botw of a long gone group of people that lived in the forest of phirone - WHOOP those are just monuments built by hylians in memory of the sonau and actually their real architecure isnt rare and few but everywhere en masse and doesnt resemble the ones from botw at all, aside from some vague dragon motive; theres more stuff of the oh so sadly gone and not at all mysterious anymore sonau left than there was of the ancient shiekah in botw (and now it doesnt exist at all anymore, who cares about them, how important they were, or this worlds history, especially zelda, she never cared about shiekah or history that wasnt about sonau :)))) )

one of the biggest crimes, to me, personally, is what totk did with the dragons not actively mind you, but still changed my view of them and i hate it; i always saw them as these ethereal otherwordly spirits older than time itself (i liked the idea of them being like a final evolution of the dragons from skyward sword, tho of course i dont need that to be canon lol) and then totk comes along and .. the newly revealed -always been there super cool- race of people from the sky is heavily based on their designs ... and they have armor sets imitating the dragons ... and have ... magical never heard of before stones that turn people into .... dragons .... i get how that can be an interesting thing for people to connect but for me personally ... its a mystery that REALLY shouldnt have been solved, at all, or even touched, the fact that you knew nothing about the dragons other than they are here was what made them feel so much more divine and awe inspiring (i know you could try to think of it being the other way around, the sonau worshipping the dragons so much they dedicated all of their cultur around them ((but then again were is that anywhere, if they worshipped them so much then they sure didnt matter in any of what we say of them in memories..)) ... but the sonau designs, the armor ... the stones ... its all such an obvious connection ...) and its really hard for me to ignore it, i actively have to work now to keep seeing the dragons as these untouchable ethereal spirits instead of some sonau guy eating a fucking stone

and yet again its like .. can you really blame me for feeling weird about the sonau/dislike them when ... theres nothing that WASNT touched by the sonau, they already had tech way above the level of the shiekah, they were in the sky, the surface AND the underground all along, theirs is the actually important influence on the history of the world, they have been in every place that was once important, hell they were in every place were a settlement of people is EVEN THE FEW YEARS OLD TABURASA (tarrey town), their buildings look like they were abandoned 10 years ago, all their shit is still working, they founded (this) hyrule, they are the royals, they are the gods, they are the dragons, the ancient hero was a sonau mix clad in waht totk made out to be their signature design elements-

we had recordings from that time (tapestry) and even PEOPLE (the monks) and yet the sonau were a total mystery? even though their culture was literally still there when the shiekah built their tech?

what gets me escpeially is how .. they didnt NEED to erase anything shiekah, they didnt need to act like they never existed, they didnt need to make the sonau be the coolest guys ever and were so desperate to get that into your thinking everyone in the game is obsessed with them and tells you why you should be obsessed too

like am i just insane or is it a rather .. obvious connection to make that the shiekah found the tech of the sonau and built theirs inspired by what they could find, it was so old at that point that its non functional or even recognizable in the present, but when the shiekah found it they could still research it; given how the shiekah built multiple shrines and puzzles to them WITHTIN ruins that, in botw, were sonau ruins, i thought that was the logical line to draw and a good way to connect them while still leaving the sonau to be a mysterious ... mystery (this is what im going for in my rewrite btw)

also another thought, if the ancient shiekah could see the future to a degree they built stuff to prepare the next hero for the next calamity that would happen in thousands of years .. how did they never find out about gan? i know they were more about the future than the past but like ... were they really so stupid to see that the calamity will come back just the same from the same place and NOT investigate?? ESPECIALLY considering that the weird half sonau ancient hero was literally THERE when they saw the furture and built all of that for it???? the sonau werent gone gone in any sense and you CANNOT tell me that the shiekah jsut ignored this weird half whatever looking guy outfitted in an aesthetic and culture that wasnt obviously present anymore and clearly connected to somethign else, with probably clear scars were whatever buildings were lifted into the skies- SOMEHOW- and monoments LITERALLY STILL READABLE IN THE PRESENT that tells you about all theshit that went down?? even if you hid them with some weird mechanisms, are you realyl not gonen investigate?? also why hide it anyway?? if its supposed to be a monument to the sonau why the fuck would you built stuff to HIDE the information from it?? gan cant reach it anyway bc hes KINDA STUCK you are telling me the group of people with a vision of the future and high tech stuff that are famously obsessed with the stars and sky didnt see any of the sonau shit floating around there?? ohoho but it was hidden by magic uwu WHY bc you wanted to wait thousands of years for the "right" link to come around?? so you let thousands of people suffer and die just bc you wanted a specific guy? why not the ancient hero instead?? and solve the problem right then and there?? or would that mess too much with the history all of the sudden, you didnt care about messing anythign else up before either

its all just so messy if you start to think even a little bit about whatever the fuck happened in totk and i ahte it, it solves stuff that didnt need solving, ignores or even erases stuff that didnt need erasing and was all ready to go and be more explored, its infuriating

(also additional thought about the previous rant where i mentioned how characters, esepcially zelda, regress HARD in chaarcter development) someone mentioend this about link and ... YEAH, in botw the main thing was the connection between link and zelda, how they didnt like each other at first and at the end were THE brotp; in totk, aside from zelda mentioning how strong link is, theres nothing, the link that was revealed in botw to only be so silent and expressionless (not fully but like supressing everythign rly) bc of the immense pressure that was put on him is now just the most importanest sword guy who didnt even shed a tear when you get the memories of zelda basically killing herself; or did he know she will just be returned to normal with no harm or memory done no problemo in the end?? i dont WANT link to talk mind you, i never want to hear him talk tbh, i like him being mostly silent aside from his grunts when he climbs a cliff or soothes a horse (i go non verbal in high stress situations too) but you could have shown him be affected by it at all, or idk DO ANYTHIGN WITH THEIR RELATIONSHIP they are best friends whod die for each other but that doesnt actually matter in anything bc he just do what sword man does-

☠︎︎ DAY SEVEN: MASKED FT. KENMA

☠︎︎ WARNINGS: kenma wears masquerade mask, bathroom sex, semi-soft!dom kenma, y/n wears a skirt, fuck buddy au!, public sex kinda..

☠︎︎ WORD COUNT: 1.3k

"kuroo, do you know where kenma is?" y/n questioned her friend. she'd notice his unique haircut which was the only reason why she was able to differentiate him from the rest of the individuals in the room. "I don't know, he just wandered off down the hallway. you know that he's not really into these kinds of events"

"then why did we drag him with us?" y/n sighed, pulling kuroo's mask a bit to make it snap back onto his face. he let out a small yelp, covering his face with a hand before using the other to point down the hallway in the direction of where he last saw his best friend depart to.

y/n followed his slightly hidden gaze that peeked through the mask, passing by making out couples before finally arriving in front of the bathroom's door. three knocks.

no answer

she knocked once again and it only felt like the music was coincidently getting louder. "kenma?" she called. expecting to hear an acknowledging hum, she was instead met with the sound of what seemed to be a moan. "kenma..?"

this time her voice was filled with more confusion until she sighed, staring at the closed door. closing her eyes and taking a small deep breath, y/n began to contemplate what to do before hearing the sound of the lock twist.

"aw, why'd you stop calling my name?"

her eyes shot open when she saw kenma peek his head around the slightly ajar door. "what are you doing?" she questioned, not knowing what else to possibly ask him in such a short amount of time. "what do you think? i'm sure you heard at least something familiar"

y/n almost begged herself to try and lose contact with kenmas locking gaze but her eyes were disobeying her silent orders. afterall, the mask that he wore basically highlighted his amber irises. "you seemed to be having fun out there. i didn't want to disturb you"

he kept the door slightly opened, skillfully only allowing half of his torso to be visible to y/n's eyes. "disturb me for what?" as y/n let the words pass by her lips, kenma suddenly reached for her wrist, pulling her into the small space of the bathroom.

his eyes seemed to dart down to his visible and clothed erection, making y/n suddenly let out a choked cough, being caught off guard by his unexpected action. "oh.."

"dont 'oh' me? help me"

"oh"

"y/n" he called her name, this time dropping all signs of patience. "kenma, how did this even happen?" she questioned as he pulled her hand closer towards himself. "that's not important right now" he let out a staggered sigh when he placed his hand over y/n's guiding her to palm himself.

"y/n, let me fuck you..please?"

"what if someone walks in, kenma?" she questioned. "were wearing masks and as long as you only let me hear your sounds, it won't be easy to tell who you are, will it?"

she rolled her eyes but was interrupted she she felt kenmas body press against her own, slightly pinning her onto the bathrooms counter. "fine". y/n saw the small smirk that appeared onto's kenma's lip beneath his sleek designed mask, making her avoid his lustful aura.

kenma reached for the edge of her mask before pulling it over her head and placing it onto the empty space on the sink. y/n reached for his, trying to do the same but he swiftly grabbed her wrist, stopping her movements.

"are you not taking yours off too? it'll get in the way" y/n sent kenma a small glare, when she felt his sudden contact. "it'll actually be beneficial" he mumbled, placing a hand on y/n's inner thigh. "how so?"

"it forces you to keep eye contact with me"

y/n's protesting words were kept behind her lips when kenmas hand only trailed further up her thigh and under the fabric of her skirt. "kenma, i thought you wanted to be satisfied?" y/n mumbled when kenma's index finger hooked the hem of her underwear. "i could get off just by ruining you though"

kenma smiled when his eyes captured the image of y/n's eyes and faltering glare. he reached his hand into the restricting fabric before immediately circling her sensitive bud with his thumb. y/n could only shudder at the sudden temperature change that was caused by his contact, making kenma use his free hand to place on her lower back.

"relax, y/n. what are you so tense for?" he questioned. "oh i don't know, kenma? maybe the fact that there's so many people outside-" her words were cut off when swift movements were made by kenma to correctly sit her atop of the sink's counter. "what'd i say? were wearing masks. no one will know"

y/n nodded redirecting her focus to kenma's hand's which continued to abuse small circles against her bud. he stopped his movements once he realized where y/n's gaze resided, making her look up and to his masked expression. "only keep your eyes on me".

y/n didn't react. infact, she couldn't. the way that all emotion that was visible in kenmas irises only turned into lust, capturing her racing thoughts and worry. her breathing slightly quicked and the feeling of arousal all being caused by kenma, only caused her eye's to fight the need of shutting from the pleasure.

as the speed of kenmas hands quickend, y/ n slightly bit down on her bottom lip in an attempt to suppress her moans, all the while, still keeping her low lidded gaze on kenmas reflecting one. y/n never noticed before but kenmas words were right. the mask did in fact force her to focus on only his gaze and lips.

even if she wanted to, she couldn't admire any of his other features due to the mask's restriction. these thoughts caused her receiving pleasure to feel even more impactful. kenma noticed how she now struggled to keep her moans to a quiet volume so he leaned forward, using his free hand to cup her cheek, and guide her closer to himself for a kiss.

y/n allowed her moans to fall against his lips once they finally made contact. keeping the movements of his hand at a steady pace, kenma slowed down for a split second when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket.

he ignored it, too busy focusing on the pleasure of y/n but he groaned into their shared kiss when he felt his phone vibrate once again. kenma rolled his eyes, quickening the pace of his thumb against y/n's bud.

she quietly mumbled his name into the crook of his neck after the pleasure finally began to reach its peak and she couldn't help but closer her eyes and rest her forehead on his shoulder. "i wanna see you"

"kenma-"

just before y/n was about to protest, she felt his movements slow down, knowing that kenma only did it as a 'warning'. "okay, okay. you're so-"

he smiled and completely stopped his movements, causing y/n to cut off her sentence. "kenma stop doing that" she mumbled, placing her hand on his wrist. "you want me to stop?"

with a small and thankful sigh, y/n held kenmas gaze when he finally continued his pleasuring actions, allowing her to finally reach the peak of her satisfaction. kenmas realized how she struggled to quiet her moans so, sneaking a hand to her nape, he guided her down closer to his face, meeting lips with y/n once again.

"y/n, kenma!" the sudden voice of kuroo was accompanied with the knock that was heard on the door. kenma continued to rub circles against y/n's bud, pulling away from the kiss and replacing his lips with his palm to keep y/n's pleasure filled moans, suppressed.

"y/n, i know the both of you are in there. you guys have no shame" they both heard the disappointment laced in kuroo's voice and y/n could only focus on kenma's continued pleasure when the smirk on his lips were slowly becoming more visible due to her amplifying moans.

"what, you wanna join or something?" kenma's voice was kept at it's usual low tone but somehow, kuroo was still able to hear his words.

"kenma, you're sick"

RIGHT! I'm going to judge everyone with their doppel choices!!! Get ready for long post

In all seriousness, you're entitled to your own opinions and this is just a bit of fun. I'm genuinely interested to see the most popular doppels and I KNOW there are no set rules for the votes as the account has stated so peoples choices may be for gameplay etc etc. So, no meanness, right? It's all in jest (m-mostly...)

Giovanna time! I agree very muchee, I'm not a big fan of swimsuit Giovanna. Yeah she's cute but I dunno I just don't like the sail and that's such a big part of it. I understand why og and anime are equal cause anime Giovanna was FIRE and the new take on it in-game works well. Og deserves well because duh, its the og and anime deserves well too cause it's on par. But Infinite Giovanna ough, left the girls in the dust. Beautiful colours, beautiful combination of Giovanna and Shitori Egumo. She's beautiful and she knows it!

The first disagreement. Tanabata Campanella falls into the 'its too busy i dont have a clue whats going on and thats not a good thing' camp for me. Yes the colours are pretty but damn there's too much going on. And the colours on her spine bit are way too much overall. I get it but it's not for me. I'm glad my choice is second though. Historia Campanella is.... is not Campanella that's the eiffel tower and anime Campanella is just ugly. They removed the lantern which is such a good part of the og. the hint of red works so well and the ugly four shoes are a) large and ugly and b) dont fucking fit! The only thing i like is the hat but do i like it more than og? Not really, its on par

Alright THIS is my first 'um hello, what are you guys doing?' Tiracchana is awful, what are you on? I definitely feel the magis are affecting choice here cause I know Yuna is popular. I'm sorry but her doppel is shit. So ugly and such a mishmash of bad aspects. I'm sad Merkava is so low in comparison cause her theming is cool and she actually looks good. Done dirty... But like, how the fuck is halifax winning? She's just a fucking guillotine for petes sake... Im not a fan because it irks me but come on this is not the best design. Lakehurst done dirty waaa... she's such a cool mix of animal and machine and she works so well. Not too busy and has a clear theme. I suppose the only thing that isnt so great is the tongue since its colour sticks out so much. Very disappointed in everyone...

W-Why none of y'all like Marguerite?? What's she done wrong?! She'd be my second choice. I think Cuauhtitlan is fine but I struggle judging her since Im not knowledgable on the culture. But she does look very nice and the colours are good. I like Marguerite for her kinda castle/tank-y feel. The colours are nice and the structure is interesting! She kinda falls into 'this doesnt look like a witch and moreso an object' bracket but its not that bad... im so sad she's unpopular... Now im surprised at Halomonas. Its just boring man... and she's definitely 'this doesnt look like a witch and moreso an object'. Just nothing in it is particularly fun or cool, I just find her so boring. I suppose Alexandra's integration is good though, but otherwise... Unbased. But I'm very happy with Vlastenske! I looooove clowns!!! And she's super creepy and fun! You should be winning, sweetie

Sigh. Hepialidae is shit, what are you on? Moths are so important to the theme and story magireco and yet this rando has a moth witch? It's so out of left field and doesnt suit her theme as far as I know. I wanted her to be a vampire witch so bad back in the day... The colours are ruined by the leg parts too. Like hello? Where do those ugly purples and greens come from?! I suppose Kushu's integration is nice though. I understand Henrietta's low score. She falls into the object category but at least she's pretty. Sad about Don Rocinante though... I get she is a little boring but I do have metal bias... (looking at my fave Gisela... ) But compared to the others I still think she should be higher And man, I know Konomi is popular but... it... it's just flowers... c'mon...

Yeah, shitty magirepo deserves to be last... I think all (not you rena-chan) are very good here and deserve to be equal. A little surprised Elfriede is lower... I suppose her theme is a little all over the place... the fingers at the bottom kinda come out of nowhere and the head is a little out of place. Cendrillon is very good but feels a tad like a number of things patched together. I think the neck and headpiece could be improved. I must admit I have a bias for Zola as Ive rather fallen in love with her (heehee oops!) I think she's so spooky and cool and the colours are great! It was kinda hard to choose out of three great doppels Oh uh, Cendrillon-chan... I forgot you were there... yeah Magirepo doppels are just lazy and awful, NEXT!

Kogetsu winning as she should be... im furious the shitty Blot is not losing though... Komatsu falls into the mishmash category and there's a little too much going on. I wish she was more insect-like. I love Kogetsu though, the dragon is super cool as well as Chizuru's integration. It's just so satisfying to have such a circular silhouette too, she pulls it off well. Drekka Minni... sigh... does not deserve to be second. ITS A FUCKING BOAT. The only part I like is the dragon head but even then it doesnt fit in with ANYTHING else on the witch. I can barely even call her a witch... ugh... Oh and dear sweet Blot. Her witch is pretty good! But the doppel... The doppel is like 1/6th of the witch and they didnt even choose a good bit. Ugly, boring, lazy, and Gunhild has a shit utilisation. If you voted for her we are not friends.

Cassandra deserves to be first for sure and I totally see why Vimala is low. Im not a big fan of Apebis but the design is still pretty good, deserves to be high. I see why Vimala is unpopular as she really just looks like an object. A very pretty object but just an object. Everyone is pretty good here so Im glad most are pretty equal. Magatsu is spooky and cool and so is Cassandra. Maybe they can be spooky gfs from across time

What do you fucking mean no one likes Gosirsa??!! I'm mad Oaji is high hissssss Tara is very pretty and I love a Yokai cameo but she's a little too busy for my liking. Oaji.... Oaji is an object c'moooonnn... she's way too simple why is she top??? There are aspects I like like the reflection and stark red but not enough there. Marita is beautiful so im glad she's at least second. The theme is creepy and the colours are so pretty. But why no love for Gosirsa?! She's teetering on mishmash but I dont think she's that bad! The colours are nice and I love the mechanical bull theme! I get the wheels look a bit weird and not great but that's only one part... Poor girl...

No Aztekium love... yeah, she's not great... the cactus rail gun is not made very well. It's just two objects splortched together... Glad Abigail is high cause she's super fun. Nice colours and fun theme. I'm surprised 9daime is so high since she kinda falls into mishmash... at least the colour scheme is pretty good. I dont like how most of the pieces just don't really go together. Makes sense that Oxford is second cause this isnt a very strong bunch. I hate Miyuri's shitty feet theme but at least Oxford has nice colours and although the legs are busy, I think its pretty okay and the mass of patterns are fun.

WHAT ARE YOU ON JING IS BEAUTIFUL!!! Very unbased. I think the magi chose this one... >:( But... most of these are pretty good... but that doesnt mean Jing can be so low! Catacombe is very cool and has a good overarching theme and colour scheme. Im not so fond cause her colours are a little drab. I think Totentaz is a little boring, not enough going on I suppose and I dont think the wispy arms work. Otherwise she's fine, pretty but a little boring. But mannnnn Jing is so beautiful! I dont understand... the Chinese opera theme is BEAUTIFUL! I love her flowers and the trailing parts and how creepy she is when you look close... sigh... Casuarius is my least favourite here. Dunno, just don't get with her. The colours are very good and I love the symmetry and how Mikage is framed but I don't know if I like how the head part is put together, feels a little like separate things smooshed together without much thought.

When I first voted Frederica was so high and I was SO mad. She's awful, one of the most boring witches. It's just eyes and a jpeg of flowers man... I'm so glad she's at the bottom now. I like the patterns of Hevelius but she is just a lump so I get why she's low. Etteilla is super pretty but I definitely prefer her witch. She's on equal par to Gibdaughter to me. I only chose her cause of my silly metal bias :)c heehee I love Gibdaughter, the metal punk bird is great and I love Kanae's unique hood. These two deserve to be equal

This was a hard pick between ED Catacombe and Totentaz. The first two definitely fall into 'too detailed' for me. Like, man, look at Catacombe she has a whole party going on on her. Dunno if Elfriede deserves to be so low but they're all good. I like her pumpkin theme. I only chose Catacombe because Im not so fond of Totentaz. Does she deserve to be so high..? Eh, no... I think she's only so popular because she's the one that hurts your eyes the least. I think she's good, I LOVE the head cage thing but her bone scythe is too ugly and lumpy looking. I know ED Catacombe does look a little silly with her Papyrus Undertale skulls but I just love the colours and theme. She just works better for me.

These are all pretty equal to me, no idea why Nenemu is so low. Do people just not like Nemu lol? Nolde is pretty, love her colours and matchstick theme. So is Nenemu though I get that she feels a little more busy. I love the eye hands and head, she's more spooky. I dont think Shitori Egumo deserves to be so high. She's nowhere near as cool as her witch but she's still good. Maybe my least favourite? But otherwise they're still pretty on par. I chose Sukhavati because I love her patterns, especially when she opens up. It's a bit of a disservice not showing that aspect. Plus I love a rafflesia lol

Hmmmmmm. You want some controversy? Charlotte's doppel isnt that good guys. You know what the best part of Charlotte is? Her face. Her eyes and her huge mouth. And here..? Um... tiny mouth and no eyes. They took away her best parts! So sorry not sorry she isn't that good. Doppel Oktavia is way too stout for me. Why did they make her so fat? (not fatshaming at all, a plus sized oktavia would be beautiful but she usually isnt) Her head is so iconic why did they remove it and totally change her visor? I just think they ruined such a good witch. And Candeloro absolutely does not use enough of the witch. Its so painful cause I love Candeloro and Mami... She does not need to be that small and insignificant. I chose Ophelia cause um, the witch is actually there!! And I think the horse utilisation is actually smart! This definitely looks more like a witch popularity contest and no one actually looked at the doppels...

Ehh... swimsuit doppels are hard... They're just always so... busy... Meh... Why does no one like Ophelia though??? You're lame... Oktavia is fine. I like the surfboard and colours. I think the different kind of fish is cool but she barely looks like Oktavia anymore... Swimsuit Candeloro is pretty and has nice colours but MAN its way too busy. Swimsuit Ophelia is a bit all over the place. Some colours dont fit in and the turtle looks kinda bad. Swimsuit Charlotte is probably my second fave cause the colours are nice and the mishmash theme kinda suits her but man, some of the pieces look so out of place. Stick with a consistent art style...

Why is Luca so high? Egh... I think Luca's shape is overall so ugly and not good looking. The decorations a kinda okay but way too messy to see what you're looking at. I find her so hard to judge cause I know there's a deeper meaning I dont quite get so she's always on the fence for me. Im a Breadman hater. Why is she so unique? Why is she separate to Sudachi? What makes you so special??!! Too weird, feels like they're trying too hard to be cute. Gothel is pretty. Love the colours and the rapunzel spin. And I love me a set of ribs!! Valentines Breadman is a little better to me, I think a mishmash really suits the chocolate theme. Should be higher than regular Breadman.

Naomi is one of the first doppels I saw so maybe im biased lol. Broiderie is too grey and complex for me. But otherwise she's very beautiful and suits the mushroom theme very well. Not a fan of her weird foot though. Sigh... Heide Jekyll (shit name). I get it, I really do. But you could have made the design better!!! I know its a sensitive topic but you've still gotta make something that looks good! Naomi is beautiful, beautiful colours, I love the dual heads and stark red between the bodies. I kinda wish the arms matched the rest more but otherwise a clear winner. Yeah, Ganni deserves to be last. It's just a helmet man... A very beautiful helmet but just a helmet.

Theresia at the top like she deserves! I LOVE how awful and grotesque she is! You go girl! Go torture someone! Yu Hong is good but a little boring to me. Wish there was more than just the balloon. Beatrice is very good but I kinda hate the bright purple and fleshy pink. Ouch that hurts the eyes. She's a little tooo weird for me (not a good overarching theme) but I like how grotesque she is (wow second time saying that, gross girls forever!) Also how was I today days old when I realised Beatrice-chan is differently coloured... fake fan... but still not great... Theresia sweep is deserved.

Hrrnngghhhh Old Dorothy isn't that good guys.... It's just a bunch of circles c'mon... and the Nightmare-esque creature is so out of place. Why does she have it? You know, the things Homura made in her isolation field? Eh... Sad McDougal is so low, she was my second choice. How dare you put her next to the shite that is Hund Balou. But... she isn't great... very object-y and what is going on with that pink thing? I think Im biased cause i love her magical witch. Winchester is a great translation of the witch. Love her, no notes (well...) Only critique is that the colours are boring but that's obviously her shtick. Hund Balou... is like one of the only doppels that just look so badly drawn. The hands are awful, the hair is awful and the headpiece looks stuck on. BUT... the colours are very pretty and I love her dress. Oh and Hanna's utilisation is so unbearably lazy.

This was kinda a battle of the worst for me... Only chose Winchester cause I like main Winchester. Old Dorothy is too busy, Yu Hong is just green with barely any additions, Cuauhitlan is WAY WAY too busy (but aside from the centre she is very pretty). Man, no one served at this party...

Huh, another battle of the worst... Can we please not have a variant doppel that is unbearably busy? I chose Oktavia cause her colours are really pretty as well as the additions. But... w-why is she fat again??!! (see before, nothing wrong with large Oktavia but she... she isnt in the anime so where has this come from?!) Totentaz is finneeee... but its just a little boring... The green is ugly and the arm bits detract too much from the rest of it. (though i like the repeated red stripes). Tara is just WAY too busy and so is Henrietta. It's so hard to see what's going on... They are pretty but man... tone it down a bit!

I hate Carola so so much its unbelievable. Its such a bad doppel... I need the full description to tell you how awful she is. I am so passionate about how much I hate this doppel (this is from a wip doppel ranking)

Final Carola is... better... I wish this was her usual but im so weighed down by its previous shitness that I didnt vote for her... The colours are pretty and so are the patterns. Caterina isnt a win for me. I have no idea why she has a butterfly theme and I wish it was more like a book. Its beautiful... but not Umika. Im biased for Antonio cause I just think he's so cool???? It's... it's not Kaoru (like hello?? Where is the football theme?) but I just like him aaaa... this was kinda another battle of the worst. I think Final Carola is the best here. (Kazumi Magica you deserve so much betterrrr)

I LOVE SYLVIIIEEEEE! :) ah, where were we... Im very on the fence with Vayu. My opinion changes every time I look at her... I like the shape and the utilisation of Shizuku makes sense but Im not so sure about the colours and the uhhh bag head..? Doesnt make sense to me. Her main witch works so much better. Gela is high for me cause I love cloowwnnnsss! Just kinda wish she wasn't 60% huge beige bag. Love a dual jester hat and two faces but the colours juusstt dont match so well. Tongue and wings dont work so great with everything as a whole. Mmmm heehee Sylvie!!!! I love wind up monkeys, I love maids, I love body horror, I love purple... hello? This diva has no flaawwssss! Why is Paparazzo so high.... its pretty lame... The colours are alright and I love the repeated circles theme but eh the camera body isnt doing it for me. And the eyes feel a little lazy. She's just a little lazy overall...

Forget battle of the worst this is battle of the best! A-and Kriemhild-senpai... Doppel Kriemhild is sooo good... it is a total shame she kinda isnt Kriemhild but a Portable reference wins brownie points in Kit's book! Original is great! No notes. Swimsuit is also very good but it wasnt the winner for me cause she is just a liiiiittle too busy... otherwise the colours are GORGEOUS and she is very good. Haregi Kriemhild is also so beautiful. I think the green is integrated well (they could have fluked that so easily) and the circular background works so well with her overall. Deserves to be on par with the other two, not that low :( And uh Kriemhild-senpai..? Oh look, we've run out of time!

Hrrnnnnnn...... okay Homulilly is great, very good interpretation of Portable Homulilly. Only gripe is that she's kinda one-note on colours. She could've used the red of Portable homu. Now... guys... cool Homulilly isnt that good... Rebellion Homulilly is such a good design and what did they use here?.... oh... oh uh... n-nothing... Where's the spider lily? Where's the gramophone? WHERES THE SKELETON?! It just doesnt do it for me, champ (and i know, this isnt specifically Rebellion Homulilly but c'mon! They were going there with everything else, why not go the whole way!) I think the Lotte are way too busy, if you were gonna do the Clara Dolls, do the fucking Clara Dolls, you have ALL the assets for them! No, she does not deserve to be top y'all are liars and skanks Swimsuit Homulilly... COME ON THE COLOURS ARE LOVELY! This was before variant doppels were stuffed to their britches with too much shit. She's so cute, I love the contrast of the blue and the cute spotty arms aarrghhh y'all are missing out... Haregi Homulilly is too busy and the colours are kinda wack. The 7 Gods of Fortune Lotte just don't work for me... it's too messy and ugly... very unbased here...

EXPLANATION!!!!!!:

So this whole au revolves around Charlie, and she falls into the mountain instead of Chara, so it's like, if Chara never fell

And she's totally freaked out by the whole situation with the monsters because she was one of those homeschooled kids where their parents won't teach them things they don't want them to know, so she has no idea who or what the monsters are. Sooo she kinda kills a few monsters out of panic-- smaller ones like froggit?

But Toriel takes her in because she feels bad and also because that's just what she does

Charlie gets used to it a bit, but still has a weird grudge, especially for the people outside of the ruins? But she also doesn't exactly know who they are, not really

So flash forward a bit, they're now angsty teens and the Dreemurrs leave to New Home because the ruins are getting way too out of shape

However, Chalrie and Asriel had a huge fight, and turns out she's developed some sort of small agoraphobia? So she ends up staying in the ruins. They would've taken her with them but she didn't wanna go because she was worried about what else might've been out there

And so Charlie ends up being the new Toriel, taking care of the ruins and what not. Yknow knock knock jokes the whole shabang, but she doesn't exactly have the same bond as Toriel and Sans. Every time she hears a knock knock joke she's like "your jokes fucking suck" and Sans is like "I think they're humerous" ba dum tss and then she's like "that was awful....tell me another". Just more of Charlie needing someone to keep her company so she doesn't go absolutely insane

But the difference in this is, humans aren't really interested in the monsters rn since the whole Asriel and Chara thing didn't happen

So no one's coming down to the mountain

And Error is like "this is a waste of space???? They're literally doing nothing it's so boring" and so he starts messing up stuff in the universe to be like "oh, whoops looks like it's defective and it's totally not my fault"

Ink ends up visiting the au one day in the ruins when he's fixing whatever Error had done and Charlie finds him and she's like "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU" and he's like "NOO NO NO I'M SAFE I PROMISE LOOK" and draws some stupid looking doodle, which is probably the worst way to plead your case

They talk for a bit, be it begrudgingly, but he has to calm her down somehow. And then he finds out she's been alone all this time and decides to become her friend to keep her company. Error finds our and is like "YOU'RE RUINING MY WHOLE PLAN ARE YOU SERIOUS" His jealous rage gets the best of him for sure, but also just normal rage, and he attempts to destroy the universe

MUSIC MEN !!

May include rambling cuz my love for spiders kinda slipped its way into these designs lol

DJ Music Man

VERY vaguely based on a Goliath Bird Eater, since they’re the biggest spider. I thought it’d fit this big guy.

Fun fact: if you google “Goliath Bird Eater face” one of the first results is actually the face of a wolf spider.

…I’ve spent a lot of time looking at spider faces. I can recognize a lot of them based on head shape and eye placement now.

Anyways

Mini Music Men ! (and their ruined forms)

They’re all based on different spiders, which will be explained under the cut, as well as close ups cuz I don’t want this post to be super annoying to scroll past

Hip Hop (Jumping Spider)

Hip Hop is the only one with a name so far, and he’s based on a jumping spider! I had a good idea of what spiders I knew I wanted to include when starting these designs, and you best believe jumping spiders were on that list. They’re just very recognizable, and their eye placements are just very unique. That’s something I tried to accomplish with these designs too; chose spiders with unique eye placements from one another. Since it gives more variety to each music man.

He was actually the first one I designed and was part of the original 4 I designed way back in July of last year, the other three being Wolf Spider, Trapdoor, and Daddy Long Legs.

Also, making him the rabbit ruined music man was completely coincidental, I wasn’t even thinking about how perfect that was until after I had already finished all the designs. I’m just glad I happened to choose that cuz man it lines up so well. Cuz. Cuz jumping spider. And rabbits are known to jump-

Wolf Spider

I don’t have a too awful lot to say on this guy. Sweet old man. When I saw the eye placements for wolf spiders, I was having a hard time trying to figure out how to incorporate it in a way that was appealing. And then it hit me: put the lower four on a mustache. And then he just became an old man after that.

Trapdoor Spider

This guy’s based on a trapdoor spider— SPECIFICALLY a cork lid trapdoor spider. This is mainly cuz normal trapdoors don’t really stand out too much appearance wise. They look like a stereotypical venomous spider I think. But then! I remembered the cork lid trapdoor spider, and that one definitely stands out. The main thing that makes it stand out so much is that, compared to the average spider, it’s missing like, half its abdomen, the back end of which has a very interesting pattern.

I don’t know if it’s communicated well from this angle, but he’s missing half his abdomen, but in a way where it’s clear he was built that way, given the placement of his wind. I also included designs on his wind to kind of represent the designs real cork lids have on their abdomens.

Daddy Long Legs

Yes, I know daddy long legs aren't actually a spider, but it felt wrong not to include one, so I did it anyways.

This fella actually has a tiny bit of lore. Basically, he's an early prototype model of the mini music men, hence why he appears out of date compared to the others. And run down too; his age means more time for wear and tear to have occurred, hence his missing abdomen (which was really just a design choice I made in order to reference how daddy long legs don't have as many body segments as actual spiders).

Brown Recluse

Now we're onto the spiders that weren't in the original batch. Brown Recluse, as well as the other two after this, were actually concepts I made not too long after the first time I drew the original 4, however they never went far beyond just concepts. Until recently.

There's not much I can say about their design. It's not shown here but they actually play the violin, since one of the recognizable features of a brown recluse is the violin shape present on their back. So I guess that's that their limb shapes come from; they vaguely resemble the shape of violin bows. Kind of. Idk don't look too deep into it.

Black Widow

This one I kinda just threw stuff at a wall until something stuck. I still really like how she turned out tho. I tried making her wind pointier to kind of resemble the hourglass shape on their abdomen that black widows are so infamous for. I don't know if that's clear or not though.

Black Widow and Brown Recluse is where I sorta broke my main rule when picking spiders, which was, as stated earlier, to pick ones with unique eye placements. Black widows and brown recluses have very similar, if not identical eye placements. But I decided to overlook it cuz I wanted to include both of them.

Yellow Orb Weaver

When I was initially designing this one, I don't think I had a specific orb weaver in mind. Because back then, I had no idea how diverse orb weavers actually are. So after some consideration, and looking at the design I had already made, I decided that he's based on a yellow orb weaver. Mainly just cuz I wanted more variety in the hues I was using for these guys' colors.

I don't have much else to say on this dude. I just made him super lanky cuz the shapes were interesting.

Also you gain levels in pacifist because LOVE is Level Of VirtuE. Fuck you lmao

Undertale.exe: so I looked at Camilla Cuevas being an awful person. Then i looked at the beautiful anime that is @jakei95's underverse... then i smushed it all toghether to basically create the perfect AU. Frisk is a pansexual fuccboi that Has Game, Chara is THICC and powerful, Betty is built like a ballerina and is 1000 years old, and Asriel is a Streemur. All of them live in this house far away from the city thats literally a larger version of sans' house. All charachters can legally drink (prepare for Drunk Chara shenanigans where its Betty Glitchtale the drunk one instead) and the only one who (probably) isnt gay is Asriel (even though frisk covets the Dreemur Dong) (one day soldier, one day...). Out of commission… // Marvel Blurb AU

The blinding effect of the lights felt draining. The color almost washed her out completely, as she turned her attention to the small plate placed on each corner of her forehead. Along with a small amount of fluid coming into her veins.

She blinked her eyes wide open to see the figure in the distance who eventually approached the lights.

Slyvie.

Her long blonde hair flows past her as her green skin tight skirt grows with every inch of her body moving forward to face the slightly weaker agent. She felt an evil little smirk on her face.

Death level kinda smirk. Nothing about this makes sense anymore.

“Speak or I will—”

“You’ll what?”

With a flick of her wrist, she took away Mia’s ability to speak her mind as she opened her mouth but no words were uttered in the air.

“Much better, don’t you think? Aw you look so cute trying to break free from your own thoughts. Almost makes me feel bad for what I’m about to do to you.” She said with a smirk playing with the magic in her hand, “I need you here for my plan to work. But don’t worry, you won’t be alone forever. Just until you can see your precious little work fall under your own hands.”

‘But-? No-no, you won’t get away with any of this. SHIELD will..” She mouthed.

“Oh SHIELD is too busy with missions and other training protocols to worry about a little girl like you. I don’t know what it is that makes you think you’re going to get anywhere when you’re stuck here. SHIELD doesn’t seem to care about you or any of your friends. Or that’s at least what I have seen of course.”

‘You’re wrong! The sooner you keep me here they will come to find me.’

“Look Agent Parker, I don’t know much about you but I will soon. And for starters, from what I gather your faith in people is a strong one, even for a newcomer like yourself, it’s very cute honestly because your faith pushed the young avengers to join in their previous home. Which I destroyed gracefully, you remember don’t you?”

Amelia’s mind was a little fuzzy since she awakened from her slumber but she remembered the explosion of the building she fought so hard to build and forge a better life for the heroes. Hell, she signed them up for SHIELD Academy classes to help their education level improve over time. Then it was designed to be destroyed under her nose by Slyvie.

She wanted to see the heroes fall apart and make them weak from the inside. Taking away their home, wondering if that would break them. But they were quickly brought to Stark Tower—Avengers Tower, where they had a chance of a better future. Then afterwards, she was sent to see The Sandbox’s ruins and collect any remaining possessions from the building.

That’s when she ended up here.

It was like the tall blonde saw the look in her eyes and grinned, nodding. Giving that little push, grounding her head just enough to keep her there and let her be crushed.

“You seem a bit distressed by all the information, love. But you will be fine. The heroes right now are all caught up in a world chasing time of bonding over their shared interests and being together, that they completely forgot about you. Hell, they heard about SHIELD’s true intentions towards certain individuals and their actions around them.” She explained with a straight smile, “Besides I taught them myself, so I know they aren’t that huge of a burden for you or anyone, due to their true nature being broken little souls.”

‘They are not!’ She replied with no words uttered in the air.

“Ahh that’s right, no one can hear your mousy little voice. Especially with that plate connected to your forehead, so your quiet as a bird on an early morning sunrise. It’s beautiful isn’t it? I know you’re feeling upset and hurt, hoping they will come for you. But they won’t.”

Just as Mia was mouthing off another set of words that came out as pushed air. A voice that sounded all too familiar came into the light, a tone of which she recalled to be her own. She looked over her shoulder to see a black bodysuit with a small set of black thin boots to match, a set of white rings on her fingers and a wristband with the SHIELD logo on it.

She gulped having not seen the face yet. But she had her own suspicions onto who it can be.

Her eye-line raise to face the upper half only to be meet with brown-greenish eyes, long brown hair that was curled at the end, a edging nose and plumped lips that were colored a light pinkish shade. The biggest giveaway, being the cheekbones.

That was face reveal to be her own.

She was staring at all seemed to be a copy of her own face—hell, that’s her whole damn body and voice!

Her guesses were a shapeshifter of some kind, something she read in Rochelle’s file, as her redhead friend had the ability to of turning blue and changing into anyone physically from their surroundings.

The copy looked at her for a split second then turned around and faced Slyvie with a small smile.

“She’s pretty. Real good looking at copying the original design of the owner.” Slyvie said turning to Mia with a nod, “Meet your replacement for when I’m not around to spy on them, she will. Agent Parker 2.0. Or as I like to call her Elia for short.”

‘She’s a shapeshifter! She can only act and sound like me if she wanted to…they will tell the difference between us.’ She explained pointing at the copyright holder of herself.

“Oooh you are a very smart one. Kree come in many forms, shapeshifting just enough require the memories of the person as well. You might notice small gestures here and there that might not match with your usual mood but it won’t be anything grand.”

‘I..um..’

‘Now she’s lost for words. You see Agent Parker, your little protective idea of this world, isn’t what it’s cracked up to be. It’s okay, you’re young and haven’t grown yet to get there. But you will. For now, your little heroes are gonna be safe until another threat happens that can either make or break them. Soon they will be so tight knit together that will be hard to break them, but like everything, challenges will come to test those waters.”

Slyvie explained her decision on an attack that she wants to create for the heroes, to avenge the person she care for, to see if they are a part of a team or just playing dress up. So a breaking fight on New York and an attack against the streets was perfect enough to do the trick.

And a kidnapping of the women who help put them together was just the icing on the cake for this. With Mia gone, she wasn’t there to represent and report back to SHIELD or the young heroes if everything was going smoothing.

And with Elia there was the replacement, pretending to be a version of the original, no one would bat an eye.

TBB Season 2 Spoilers

Here we go! Another great episode with some good stuff to talk about so let's get into it!

Soundtrack is incredible as always. Loving the slightly western tones. It's kinda giving TLOU meets RDR2.

I love that they're addressing the fact that Echo being gone means they need to reevaluate how they split up the team on missions.

They've worked with a squad of 4 before, but when one of them is a child that makes things a little trickier.

Omega misses Echo. ☹️

"Omega's a child. She shouldn't be living a dangerous life". *proceeds to make Omega extract highly explosive substances*.

THE ONE TIME THE DOOR TO A SHIP IS ACTUALLY CLOSED AND IT STILL GETS NICKED?!

Anyway, back to the almost drowning.

Hunter knows somethings up. 😬

I actually really love the use of Hunter's senses this episode.

I thought they were gonna find an alternate route, not have Wrecker and Hunter also go down the waterfall. 😭

WITH EXPLOSIVES MIND YOU!

Awww. Tech talking about his emotions!

I love that he's explaining to her that he processes emotions differently. It's not that he doesn't care, it's just that he works through them in a different way.

Crosshair mention as well! 😭

That fact that Tech says he has to respect both of their decisions!

Tech may not agree with Crosshair's choice to stay with the Empire, but he understands that it's his brother's decision. It reminds me of "Understanding you does mean that I agree with you".

Tech cares about both of his brothers and yes, he misses them, but he manages his feelings in his own way. 🥲

I'm worried about the Tech hate that's probably gonna come outta this episode though. Some people already don't enjoy his bluntness and I worry they're gonna come after him for being a "dick".

He just processes emotions differently!!! He's not a bad person!!!

Aw, no Tech and Omega hug. ☹️

AHHHHH WE GOTTA WAIT NOW 😭

First time we've had a two parter this season where we've actually had to wait for part 2.

Overall, I really liked this episode! I know there's going to be people jumping on it saying "it's just filler" and "it isn't progressing the plot". Emotional development is development! Let them all talk about their feelings!!!

They're clearly all struggling a bit with Echo leaving. Everyone is tense and bickering with each other, and while I know the guys are talking about how they need to accept it and move on, they're clearly all thrown off by the whole situation. I'm also happy that they're addressing the fact that Echo not being there requires them to rethink how they split up the squad. Three adults and a kid is a hard group to divide up.

Omega constantly trying to call Echo for help breaks my heart. She misses him, we miss him, his brothers miss him. There's gonna be a lot of missing him until he comes back. ☹️ I do wonder how often they actually keep in touch with him, though. Is Omega chatting to him when she can normally, or is it just because they're stuck and need his help this time?

I'm also really glad to see more Tech development! Yeah, he screwed up with Omega earlier on in the episode, but he worked through it. He's not really used to this type of thing but he's trying. And he acknowledges that they're a family. 😭

Also, I didn't mention this in the bullet points because I only just remembered this but Omega using Tech's words at the end! About how they can find a solution like they always do!!! I love seeing the little bits of influence that all of the guys have on her.

But, yeah! Long thoughts post today. Didn't expect to say quite this much but I'm missing Echo and I'm a stickler for emotional moments so I really enjoyed this episode.

Now we just have to wait a week! 😭

Koi to Dangan - By Mino Nozomi (8/10)

I think this one has a pretty big cult following. There's a live action Japanese drama series based on it! The cover art for this looks nice, and the leading man is attractive, but beware. Our female lead suffers from my-eyes-are-so-huge-they-look-alien syndrome. No one else has the huge shoujo eyes, so she kinda stands out in a bad way.

Welcome to the world of Koi to Dangan! It's an unrealistic fantasy land where Yakuza gangsters deeply respect women. Oya, a thirty five year old gang leader, never lets women get involved in his battles. He safely escorts the poor things away from gunfights that he causes. He's a hero. He's a level ten woman respecter. Yes there's some old timey sexism in this. Yes there's a huge age gap in this. Yes, half the chapters are sex scenes. Hear me out. Oya is a yandere. He admits it. He literally says he's "dominant and possessive".

Oya has been in relationships before. Duh. He's thirty five, but he quickly falls in love with a twenty year old college student. He seduces her with great sex, money, and his soft side. Before you keep reading beware. Some of the lines in this are painfully awkward. It's not unreadable though, because the drama is dramatic.

Shit happens in this.

Nobody stands around doing nothing.

This is Yuri. She's a college student. She played lots of sports in high school and she's pretty strong, even though she's skinny. Everybody says she looks like a model. She doesn't date. She wants her man to love her for who she is. She doesn't want to be treated like a trophy.

So later she becomes a housewife of course.

Oya is actually pretty good boyfriend material. He develops feelings for Yuri after she beats up a group of perverts with a chair. He saves her. His manliness attracts her, and they become a couple after she watches him get shot. When she sees him bleed she knows she cares for him. She can't resist him, even though she knows he's dangerous.

Oya isn't just a killer. He's smart. When Yuri gets kidnapped by this awful rapey Russian guy he plans ahead. He uses Russian guy's narcissism to defeat him. Sidenote there's alot of weird fetish stuff in this story. Yuri is in lingerie in every other chapter. I honestly think the male character designs in this are nice. The older women also look nice. Yuri, specifically, looks like a toothpick alien. The way she's designed kinda ruins the scenes she's in. Anyway every man she meets is horny for her, and Oya has to fight them off.

There's a honeymoon arc. We find out that both sides of this couple are pretty damn toxic. They don't need anyone else. They only need each other. Yuri lies to everyone in her life. She says she's not dating anyone, but she moves in with Oya. Her parents don't even know she's dating him. Oyas family also tries to break them up, but it doesn't work.

There are three entire chapters dedicated to an extreme biting fetish/sex stuff. Oya says he wants to see Yuri covered in his marks. She wants the same thing. They spend like an entire day biting each other. It's disgusting, but hey it made me pay attention and erotic mangas are boring 99% of the time.

After the honeymoon there's an Evil Sexy Older Woman arc. Choko has been madly in love with Oya for five years. She decides to use Yuri to get close to him. Unfortunately she's crazy so she goes too far. She wants to hurt Yuri. She comes up with a complicated plan to get Oya's attention, and she buys some rapists to use on Yuri. It's pretty fucked up. The rape almost actually happens, but Yuri isn't completely brain dead. She noticed that Choko is weird, so she calls Oya for help. When Choko lures her out ten bodyguards are waiting in the shadows.

Choko is defeated and out of the way in three chapters.

This is Jin. He's a young hot police officer. He's Yuri's childhood friend, and he's madly in love with her. He's not a moron, so he knows Yuri is dating a criminal. He says he'll marry her and take care of her instead. By the way Yuri has like no dreams and she's shit at everything besides sports and being pretty. She was like...created to be a pretty stay at home wife. That gets super grating.

Jin steals Yuri.

This happens.

Linda "Linnie" Perkins :)

She is based on a bg character from "Spelling Bee", and according to Sandro we did see Linnie as a background character so you bet my ass was onto every blonde teen girl in the show jfjxjkdnvkjdv

AW YEAH, HEADCANON TIME

1. She used to be a cheerleader. But then her team found out she cheated on her initiation and got kicked out. (She immediately told a loser she had to date that they would be fake dating. She still didn't tell him about the final step of initiation, so Linnie was being just as cruel as cheerleaders.)

2. After getting kicked out, she actually joined the girl's soccer team and still does gymnastics. Girl genuinely enjoys sports.

3. Just like Brad with Kick, Linnie bullies Kendall, although she doesn't get "physical" often. Linnie would rather get some rats into Kendall's room or pour glue in her shampoo than pulling her hair.

As a note: Linnie still absolutely would pull Kendall's hair. Pictured above.

4. She calls Brad "Car-crash". The first time they actually talked was when Linnie was getting her driver's license and Brad was redoing the test for his. Now guess how Brad's test went.

5. She and Brad are sorta friends. Yes, Brad used to hit on her, but after learning that she used to be a cheerleader he kinda backed out (Kelly trauma). Linnie, of course, wasn't interested in him at all, but their shared "interest" in bullying their younger siblings made them unlikely friends.

Or "Girlboss adopts a Boyloser"

(Brad still hits on her from time to time. The answer is always no.)

6. Already mentioned in my Kendall headcanons, but Linnie also has a cat named "Gretel". While Kendall dots on Hansel and frequently calls her nice names, Linnie treats Gretel like "Oh lawd, here comes that big fat idiot! Who's a big fat idiot? You are! Who has no thoughts in that little skull of yours? You have!". She does it lovingly of course. She loves Gretel.

7. The reason Kendall was getting a soccer ball in "Tattler's tale"? It wasn't hers, it was Linnie's. Kendall and Linnie used to play soccer in their backyard when they were younger, something they don't do anymore due to their strained relationship. Kendall is quite sentimental girl deep down, she didn't want something that has such good memories connected to it getting lost.

Linnie knows that Kendall got that ball back and while she didn't say anything - she really appreciated it.

Got her pink glitter pen in secret as a thanks.

8. Linnie doesn't have a "posse". She has her soccer team. That is kinda like her posse. After cheerleading and some "practice" when she used to play with Kendall - becoming an ace on a field didn't take long for her.

She is genuinely friends with her teammates tho.

9. She is actually really strong. Physically. Even by athletic standards. She can easily pick up several people without breaking a sweat.

After thinking that she is among the strongest people in her school (and later college) - witnessing Gunther's strength made her low-key terrified of him. ("Like wdym he can pick up several BULLS?! AND FREELY RUN WITH THEM?!?!")

10. Yes, she is beefing with Kelly now. Kelly is the one who found out about her initiation cheating and is the reason Linnie got kicked out from the cheerleading squad after all.

11. One of her ways to bully Kendall is to ruin her clothes. The reason Kendall's pink-green sweaters are fine? "No matter what I do, I can not ruin those ugly sweaters even more"

12. Linnie knew about Kendall's crush on Kick for a while. She didn't use it in her bullying because she has standards.

And she kinda just doesn't care.

13. Linnie go-to derogatory nickname for Kendall is "sissy". Just in case Kendall tries to snitch like "she calls me names!" to their dad, Linnie can spin it as "Oh my silly sis! I was calling you sis, you silly!"

14. Once Kick and Kendall started dating, Linnie extended her bullying onto Kick too. Only when the two of them are together, tho. Linnie isn't interested in picking on Kick alone, so she just ignores him (unless she's with Brad, in which case she just passively helps older Buttowski).

Don't ask Kick and Kendall how many of their dates were ruined by their older siblings.

15. Additionally, to the previous one: Linnie calls Kick "Pipsqueak" (Perkins' "call Kick "Kick"" challenge: impossible)

So I watched the new episode on Helluva Boss today and... I kinda feel upset about how the show made Loona act in s2

Imma talk a bit about her and some of my thoughts on the episode here 😶

Don't get me wrong, in this episode, she was a bit rude for unnecessary reasons (if they were trying to make her defensive, they shouldn't have made her seem bitchy)

Like when that one moment where Bee told her that Blitz is getting out of line, Loona straight up starting insulting her and catching an attitude for no reason instead of listening and checking him right away. She over here snapping at people for no reason but then when Tex around she wanna be like "Teehee! There are some things about the dynamic between Blitz and Loona that s2ep2 absolutely ruined for me. Like Loona tucked her father in and made sure he was safe enough... s2ep2 does not make sense on why Loona's so aggressive for no reason 😑

I understand her anxiety about being in a party though cus going into places where parties include rough housing and alcohol and all that is too much for me too 🥲

I kinda wish they put this episode before showing s2 tho, it kinda threw me off track a few times that this was still in s1 🫣

The scene of her taking care of him at the end was a bit sad, it made me forget about hatred for both of them. Then they ruined it with... this 🤦

This was completely unnecessary, life if they're trying to be funny, that didn't really work for me 😐

And Bee's design... I kinda don't even wanna go there cus that shit was too much (I love Kesha but come on, that design was awful) But her personality is okay ! I honestly liked how she kept an eye on Blitz's mental being more than Loona did here tbh 😐 and she straight up told Loona to stfu on their last interaction.... queen shit fr !!!

This gives off poppy artist vibes with classy bad bitch energyyyyy 💅💅💅💅

These two may have the usual HB designs, but they're really cute and look like they would enjoy having tea parties in college together 🫠🫠🫠

I wanna hug this one, they look so fluffy 😩😩😩

That's all I'm gonna say for now. I'd give this episode a 6.2/10 maybe 🤷‍♀️

Shamlessly posting all my ramblings from twitter on here.

I actully like this show, not enough to break the boycott but enough to pirate it. anyways lets go through the quick list as this show has a range of good points and bad points!

1. Designs. I fucking love monsters, monsters are my Bread, my Butter, My reason for getting up in the morning, yet consistently i found myself disappointed in each of the characters and what they were supposed to be, for instance alastor and vox

these two are supposed to media manifest, alastor is the Radio demon, yet his apperance is more around overtly edgy homestuck troll with horns i couldnt draw yet and vox is giving pyrocynical avatar. their designs are muddied because the concepts are muddied. alastor is not only the radio demon, he is the "voodoo man", the circus, the entertainer, the deal maker, the shadow weaver, the puppet on strings, and a myriad of other resume stuffers that are not needed. there is more then enough. every layer fights each other for attention, the only thing left on him that even remotly represents the radio is his staff that modulates his voice to have a radio static filter and without it he becomes a normal deer esque demon. i do not thing its good design if i can remove one aspect of a charecter and ruin it. this goes for vox as well, though i give them more of a pass because fuck me, he really do be haveing a Television as a head. but once again if i removed that aspect, what else tells me he is the television demon? his tie has a singal symbol on it, he has kinda robotic hands? but not really because he has the exact same hands as alastor leading me to belive he is wearing fingerless gloves or gloves with color blocked fingers which is a werid additon.this is ontop of the annoynce i feel at knowing that one is a recolor of the other minus the heads.

2. the pace.

the story itself moves either way to fucking quickly, i do belive that it was good to end the story itself on a redemption but we dont get enough of pentious being an actul sinner and evil guy to feel as though he deserves the redemption. show us the worst traits of our guests so that we can see the progress they are makeing through out the season so that when they do finally do something heroic and selfless and make it to heaven, we the viewing audiance can also enjoy that unilateral feeling of satisfaction of seeing our fav be vindicated as a Good Guy. im not trying to woobify pentious, exact oppisate, i want pentious to have agency to be evil and i want him to have agency to be good. we get this Somewhat with angel dust as they start makeing concious decisions to better themselves, to extract themselves from things, as well as make awful fucking choices and do Bad Things because again, these are Sinners And Demons who are reaching for redemption and salvation, I do not think we should have seen heaven at all, the embassy? yes, maybe a court of angels in hell to consider charlies plan? sure, but we should have never seen heaven until a sinner could see it.

i think i just had those two but im Bad At Being Concise... anyways viv is better at writing gay people then she is at lesbians which fascinates me to no end.
