The Fastest Man Alive finally gets his own live-action solo flick with several other superheroes from the DC Universe lending a helping hand. Ezra Miller portrays The Scarlet Speedster who uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past, however worlds collide when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future.
Tumblr media
Oddly enough, with a number of superheroes making appearances, there is only one major super villain in this 2 hour and 24-minute affair, General Zod … a Superman villain. The Flash becomes trapped in a reality in which Zod has returned, threatening destruction, and there is no one to turn to. The Flash is left to coax a vastly different Batman (Michael Keaton) out of retirement to help rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian … albeit not the one he’s looking for, and to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows.
Tumblr media
The film starts out with an amazing sequence where the Ben Affleck Batman is in hot pursuit of criminals on his new and improved Batcyle and The Flash is left to rescue babies at a hospital. Watching this sequence of Affleck makes me realize how cool a solo movie with him might have been. Besides a large dose of action, the movie also relies on humor to carry the viewer through a nearly 2 and ½ hour film. Some of the jokes land, but unfortunately most of them don’t. Auspiciously though, the action is enjoyable enough to carry the bulk of this outing.
Tumblr media
After Barry changes the past and returns, he comes face to face with himself, or an 18-year-old version of himself. This eighteen-year-old version of Barry Allen is super too … super annoying. Present day Barry needs his other self to help him resolve the problems that he has created. Ahhh … time travel movies.
Tumblr media
Keaton’s portrayal is both nostalgic and fun. He delivers a couple of legendary lines from his original 1989 Bat-flick while his classic musical motif by Danny Elfman plays in the background during the major events. For a lot of Bat-fans this was a dream come true, although I was left amazed at how spry Batman was at 70-year-old.
Tumblr media
Sasha Calle’s Supergirl was lifeless and with no emotion, very reminiscent of Brie Larson’s unlikeable Captain Marvel. Another female character waisted was Kiersey Clemons’s Iris West; don’t expect any notable love story here. The main emotional draw of this film is the love between a boy and his mother. Barry goes to great lengths for the love of his mom, not realizing one minor adjustment to history has major ramifications throughout time.
Tumblr media
The Flash suffers from two major problems; horrendous special effects and the lack of any real villain. It’s hard to believe that with all the money spent on this flick, the computer animation is flat out cringeworthy in most places. The other thing that really bothers me is how DC has such awesome super villains that Warner Bros. has yet to tap into. The Flash is yet another example of that.
Tumblr media
With all that said, overall, I thought The Flash was still fun and much better than the last couple of DC movie releases (Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods). Even with the bad special effects, the CGI cameos were nice to see and added to the film’s enjoyment, however, like Barry Allen, this film is its own worst enemy. Instead of squaring up against a legendary villain from Flash’s large gallery of amazing rogues, the Scarlet Speedster is left to battle a timeline that he put into place with another, much more annoying, version of himself by his side.

4K Reviews:
VIDEO QUALITY 📽️ : A
In my opinion, you won't get a better picture quality than here. The Native 4K (2160p) transfer looks fantastic even with the horrible CGI in place. Colors burst on your screen at home that are equal to, if not better than, that on the silver screen.
AUDIO QUALITY 🔈 : A-
Although the dialogue is extremely low and hard to understand at times, the action sequences are bombastic and sound wonderful in this Dolby Atmos & True HD 7.1 sound conversion.

Wait is Bart dead in your too many thads au? I think you mentioned Thad number 4 killed Bart but was that in a different timeline?
Bart's not dead in the present of the AU but he was murdered by Four for a while. I'm making an attempt to keep this AU as canon-compliant as possible, which means that all the events of Inertia's previous appearances (including him murdering Bart that one time) still happened. The only thing I'm adding is the idea of multiple Thads, and which of them were acting as Inertia at different points in canon.
The canon timeline is roughly this:
Inertia (Thad Two and the main Thad in this AU) is first introduced in Impulse 1995. At the end of the Mercury Falling arc he's unable to kill Bart or Max due to his own internal conflict and runs away to disappear into the speed force.
Inertia doesn't make a solid reappearance in canon until The Flash: Fastest Man Alive. (But obvi in the AU this is a different clone altogether)
At the end of Flash: Fastest Man Alive, Inertia (Thad Four in the AU) killed Bart via a) tricking the rogues into building a big Speed Force Stealing Machine, b) stealing the speed force from Bart, c) the rogues shooting Bart a gazillion times like a second after his speed got stolen.
After this Inertia was paralyzed in All Flash 2007 and put in the Flash Museum for a year by Wally, reanimated briefly in Final Crisis: Rogues Revenge by Zoom who wanted Inertia to be his new sidekick, then - after exploding a baby - Inertia was shot a gazillion times by the rogues and died.
In Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds, Bart was brought back to life by his cousin XS/Jenni Ognats running really fast on a treadmill just go with it I'm simplifying for expediency.
Teen Titans #98-100: there's an unexplained New Inertia that shows up. It's not confirmed whether he's another clone or Just Some Guy, but it is confirmed that he's not the same Inertia who died in Rogues Revenge. (And in the AU this New Inertia is an early-days Six)
During Flashpoint - the big ol event that kickstarted the New 52 - Bart gets captured by Braniac in Kid Flash Lost. A bunch of stuff happens but in essence Bart transfers his speed energy into Barry who is dealing with Flashpoint shenanigans and in doing so basically withers into nothing.
The New 52 is basically inapplicable to this AU because Bart Allen isn't actually in it so we're skipping all the way to when they rebooted the New 52 to create the new new status quo: Rebirth
Bart returns from his Kid Flash Lost ending in The Flash Vol 5 #27 after traveling through the speed force for a minute. While he was gone the whole universe got rebooted twice so there's some shit for him to catch up on. Currently he's been making appearances in The Flash and was doing some more dimension hopping shenanigans in Young Justice 2019.
Inertia also has made a reappearance in The Flash #760 wherein he kinda tried to fight Barry in the speed force before running off again and hasn't shown up since. (It's implied that this is the same Inertia who died in Rogues Revenge, but within the confines of the AU the Inertia who died was Thad Four and is Still Dead. This most recent appearance is gonna be our long-missed Thad Two who was Actually Last Seen running around in the speed force ie the end of Mercury Falling)
Everything in the AU is based on those canon appearances, and is really just me trying to weave Thad's inconsistent portrayals into a cohesive narrative, while at the same time giving him a canon-compliant redemption arc.
I've gotten away from your question Bart's not dead he died before but he got better.

my favorite tv shows:
↳ The Flash (October 7, 2014 - Present)
“My name is Barry Allen and I am the fastest man alive. When I was a child I saw my mother killed by something impossible. My father went to prison for her murder. Then an accident made me the impossible. To the outside world, I’m an ordinary forensic scientist, but secretly I use my speed to fight crime and find others like me. And one day, I’ll find who killed my mother and get justice for my father. I am The Flash.”

Hello, I hope you are doing well. Can you do hcs if s/o died with ojiro, koda, sato, shoji and tokoyami from bnha please?
First ask, let’s gooooooooo!!!! I also hope that you’re doing well, love!
Warnings: Death(obviously),minor gore and angst
Tumblr media
Shoji
- The agency you were working at had gotten attacked by the league of villains
- Shoji had heard what had happened from the news
- You can bet that he turned into flash as soon as he heard what happened
- By the time he finally got to the agency he could already tell that he was too late
- It took him a while to actually find you but when he finally saw the small bits of your (h/c) hair underneath a big piece of debris he flipped it over to find your bloody, lifeless body hidden underneath
- To add insult to injury, it had looked like before the debris fell on you, you were stabbed continuously in the stomach by, from the looks of the huge bloody gash in your stomach, could have been caused by a long blade of some kind, maybe even a metal pipe
- While being in a panicked state all he could do was hold your now lifeless body in his arms
- He was absolutely devastated
- He knew you didn’t deserve what had happened to you
- He blamed himself for what happened to you and after a while he realized that there really wasn’t anything he could do to reverse what happened that day
- After that day he made sure to visit your grave at least twice a week so that he could talk to you and get you up to date with what was going on in his life
- He also made it one of his biggest goals to find out who it was from the legue that killed you, so that he could properly avenge your death.
Tumblr media
Koda
- Koda really wasn’t a person who took death well
- Even if it was someone who he didn’t even know, he still always ended up crying for them
- So you can imagine that your death took a huge toll on his small heart
- You were interning with another pro hero in Yamanashi Prefecture, the same place Nomu attacks had took place, at the time
- While Koda stared intensely at the screen before him all he could do was hope and pray that you would be okay as he saw all the attacks taking place
- Since you didn’t yet have your hero license you were instructed to go back to your mentor’s hero agency until the whole fiasco was settled
- While on your way back you had seen a mother and what seemed to be a five year old kid cowering into a back alley to get away from what looked to be an abnormally large and strong Nomu
- Of course, since you were training to be a hero you obviously couldn’t just leave them there, so you did the only thing your instinct told you to do, and of course, it was to fight the huge Nomu
- After what seemed to feel like hours of fighting the Nomu you finally gave in to all of the pain that you had endured during the fight and fell prey to the predator in front of you
- As your legs grew weak and arms turn numb all you could do was shed the last tears that you would ever have
- Since a helicopter was passing by at the time the news station had caught your death live on tv for all to see
- Koda could feel as his knees went weak as he just stared in shock at what he had just seen
- A few seconds later he began to sob for what felt like hours
- After that, he wasn’t able to sleep for the next couple of days
- When both him and the entire class had attended your funeral he couldn’t bring himself to go up to your body to say his last goodbyes
Tumblr media
Tokoyami
- You were assigned a mission to keep a close eye on the league’s hideout
- You knew you were taking some huge risks doing this mission but you didn’t care, I mean, someone had to do it, so why not you?
- You knew that Tokoyami wouldn’t have wanted you to do such a dangerous mission, so that’s why you kept it as a secret from him
- At first it started off well, they didn’t notice you and you were able to get some good intel on them, but that’s when things took a turn for the worst
- As you were heading back to the agency you were working at, you weren’t being cautious enough and Tomura had ended up noticing you leave
- You can imagine what happened after he told Toga and Dabi to go take care of you
- Tokoyami knew something was off since he hadn’t heard from you in the last couple of days and he was beginning to get worried, so you imagine how he felt when he saw your body getting reported on the news after being found in an alley not too far away from the league’s hideout
- Skip to a couple months later, he still hadn’t moved on
- He blamed himself for what happened to you, he knew if he had just pressed you a bit more you would have eventually told him and he could have stopped you, then all of this would have never happened
- After that he took on the mission for himself so that he could get back at Toga and Dabi for what happened.
Tumblr media
Ojiro
- Everything happened so fast that he couldn’t even process it
- Both you and him worked at the same hero agency
- The two of you were assigned to do the nighttime patrols in Yokohama
- Things were going just like any other night would, seeing a few stores beginning to close, people either just now heading back home to their families or others who planned on spending their night getting wasted at one of the many bars that were in Yokohama
- This night couldn’t be different from any other night. Is what you thought before Ojiro pointed out that he heard someone in one of the nearby alleyways
-Usually when the two of you found someone in an alley way at night it was for either three reasons, they were doing drugs, selling them or they were just really drunk and was trying to find their way back home
- Little did you know it was going to be none of the above
- All the two of you saw some guy who had a ton of burn marks on his skin and looked like he was in some desperate need of sleep
- After Ojiro called out for him a few times and asking him what he was doing in a dark alley way, the guy began to get annoyed and, out of no where, he just blasted out a cluster of blue fire out of his hand
- Lucky for him he blocked the fire with his tail while you where just stood there on the sidelines trying to not get burned
- After a few more blasts by the man covered in burns, he finally decided to get serious and attack the two of you headfirst
- All the people in the streets decided to scatter since, of course, because none of them wated to get burnt to a crisp
- After what seemed to be about thirty minutes of fighting and waiting for backup to arrive, the guy, who identified to be known as Dabi, shot out a cluster of fire you knew Ojiro wouldn’t be able to dodge
- So, you did the only thing you knew you could do, your quirk wasn’t exactly designed to handle fire so it’s not like you had the upper hand here  so all you could do was jump in front of him to take the hit instead of him
- It all happened like it was in slow motion in Ojiro’s eyes, seeing you jump in front of him so take the hit
- It was like one of those moments when your brain reacted to something faster than your body could, kinda like when you would trip on something but you weren’t quick enough to stop yourself from falling
- Well, it was just like that, but all he saw was you jump in front of him then get burnt alive while a smile on your face and tears streaming down your cheeks and you mouthed the last words you would ever say before you died
- “I love you...”
- After that Dabi was no where to be seen and backup had finally came, although, it was already too late
- All Ojiro could do was stand there in shock with his mouth agape a tears streamed down his face
- Skip to a couple months after the incident, he still hadn’t gotten over it, he decided that it would be a better idea to go to therapy so that he could get over it, but, like most people, he never did
- He spent most of his days just morning over you while his friends just tried to console him
- He even gained some unhealthy habits like not sleeping or eating enough, it was usually up to his friends or his family to remind him to take better care of himself.
Tumblr media
Sato
- Sato had some close friends but was that was really the whole extent of it
- There really weren’t a whole lot of people who hyped him up to want to be a pro hero but that’s why you were different
- You actually believed in him, unlike most people you saw him for who he was
- In his eyes you were an angel, you were someone he could go to whether he was happy or sad, there was nothing that could possibly go wrong in your guys’ relationship...is what he thought before you had gotten seriously sick with an unknown virus
- It was the most unexpected thing to ever happen to you
- One day you were absolutely fine with perfect health then the next you were laying in a hospital bed being given all types of treatments, which none of them seemed to work
- It was always the good people that had to leave the world fastest
- Even though both you and the doctors knew that none of the treatments were working it was still an utter shock that you had passed away peacefully in your sleep
- I mean, on one hand, at least you didn’t die in pain, well, they didn’t know for sure, but one the other you were still dead now, there was really no way you could sugarcoat this
- The utter shock that Sato had faced the day he was told you had died
- It was one of those sinarios where you had to blink twice before you could understand what someone had said to you
- He was in total shock and despair
- So much so that he actually fainted and when he woke up he couldn’t stop saying that they were lying
- He was in denial
- After he got ver his denial he couldn’t stop crying, day and night, in and out, he couldn’t stop, he was torn, he was broken, he couldn’t handle it, so that’s when he decided that it would be best to just accept it and move on
- As much as he didn’t want to, he knew it would be the most healthy choice to make, it did take him a long while though.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok so ngl, for the one with shoji I kinda gave up but for a few of the others I kinda went a bit overboard, but still, please tell me what you think!

Supergirl 6x04 Lost Souls
We love to see it: Seven interviews. Azie Tesfai talking about Kelly Olsen. A montage of the poster cast talking about Kara being in the Phantom Zone. Four interviews with Katie McGrath. Nicole Maines on a video chat.
Things I hadn't missed: The intro montage (and we're still on the rainbow logo rather than bisexual lighting), CatCo and the characters of Andrea and William tied to it. It says a lot if characters can be removed without mention and no-one feels their absence. The show has outgrown CatCo as it has the DEO. There wasn't even a mention of Nia's CatCo retreat to tie in the company upon her return to this episode, seemingly in exchange for Kelly. A lot of this episode is civilians feeling inadequate in a superhero setting, and Kelly comes under that with her scraped hands. It's another instance of Kelly having reduced screentime and agency, while Lena is openly crying two episodes in a row about her guilt about Kara being in the Phantom Zone. It would be nice to have a comparison of a sister-in-law civilian vs the romantic framing of Lena (and their stealing of former workplace tech to save the day). I want civilian bonding.
I want civilian in general, because this season has been all Tower and no Kara, the titular character. Part of the show's charm was characters being pulled away from mundane life with the weirdest of excuses to go save the day. Supposedly the world falls to pieces if Supergirl is absent, but we're not hearing about it. No pedestrian comment from saved people, passers by, or the news about a new vigilante or the absence of Supergirl. Kara's having an extended 'absence' from work and it's not being relayed by Nia that there's been no satellite phone calls to report in her Cat Grant interview (is there even a fake plane ticket? I want tourist souvenirs). The insular Tower has call buttons for other superheroes and The Flash would have been ideal - fastest man alive to run past the baby phantoms to pierce the soul storage egg (happy Easter). If the real world was considered, then heat map technology exists. You want to find sub zero temperatures in warm weather, cross off the known freezer units for businesses and investigate the remaining ones. Boom. Civilian logic saves the day. Kara's going to get back and realise the world coped fine without her, because no-one noticed her absence and it only took her friends (family) to save it with no external help and no consequence. The SuperFriends didn't just save the day, they did so unscathed (I'm sure Kelly's hands will heal).
We won't mention exchanging death by rape for killing newborns. It's a pandemic, but AIDS rather than COVID 19. Specifically coded with a gay man and a black African woman being the first characters to succumb to fungal nails, wasting your body and revealing you to be sub-human (queer and black). If the pandemic was Covid coded then it would be disabled people dying. The show decided Phantoms would get the biped treatment but no empathy beyond that. Once you're the villain group, what happens to you doesn't matter (Daxamites having no home, Phantoms not being allowed to reproduce). There's an ethical discussion being ignored. There's also Lena and Alex's alcoholism being ignored, while Brainy is being talked through his depression binge eating.
Everyone keeps saying the Phantom Zone is the worst. It looks like Kara fell into a cave during a camping trip and is getting a bit gaunt in the face from lack of food (kudos to the make up department for doing more work than the script). The 100th AU was a better instance of Kara living nightmare scenarios. Meanwhile, Alex has had a montage of missing Kara, M'Gann has physic nightmares, and Nia repeatedly dreams Midvale, all during Phantom attacks. So why isn't Kara getting the same montage and repetition, when she's stuck in the Phantom Zone? Her father (assuming he's real, gotta live for that cis het reunion) is supposedly what Kara could turn into. The guy has clinincal depression, untreatable even with an environmental change according to Nyxly. If he had depression before coming to the Phantom Zone, it may explain the pyjama chic as you are stuck in whatever outfit you were sent to the PZ wearing (he could have been working from home to yeet Argo). I think knowing your planet is dying from environmental exploitation and beaurocracy is stopping you from healing it, that's a contributing factor to depression.
One thing I do love about 5th dimensional Imps is their desire to kill men that bring Kara down. I assume they are repeating in miniature Lena's season 5 arc, this time punishing people who should have supported her, but not to the point of killing. So we're going to have fun before she sees the error of her ways, probably teaming up with Lex in 6B. Meanwhile, Lena is getting actual character development. As Brainy has had the killer lines this season, it's "about time" Lena was a fully accepted SuperFriend. It should have happened in season 3 (imagine how much failed tech plot we'd skip if Lena wasn't outsourced), rather than having her be stuck in a loop of family abuse for four seasons. The showrunners make characters fit plots and reset them to zero for the next plot, rather than characters organically growing. Plus, the plots are so weak that they need a shock to sustain them through the second half of the season. Everything that happens with J'onn is of little consequence as they all go back to Mars (though it is lovely that M'Gann is still here). Nia had a great introductory season and then sidelined. Kelly doesn't have agency and dispenses advice like a fortune cookie. James became the CEO of a company and instead of exploring the workload that Cat Grant endured, he added vigilante to his abilities. James had a damaged eye in season 4 which would have impacted his photography, but they removed the disability rather than explore consequences for being a superhero without abilities. Alex suffers the worst for serving the plot, changing on an episodic basis, and so much for her having a quieter desk job to have children. Brainy parellels Lena for working with Lex and his romance (coding at this point after pinky promises?) with Nia, so somehow it's Lena that's driving the narrative. It's the final season so whatever progress characters make should stick. Should, but having no faith as the reset, sidestep, and contradictory buttons have been hit too many times.
The show is called Supergirl, so with any good showrunners, the audience should see a throughline of organic development of the titular character, and six seasons in we should be able to predict the natural conclusion of her arc. Any guesses what Kara's through line is? Answers on a postcard from the Phantom Zone. Delays expected due to pandemic precautions aka smashing mirrors. I can't believe the showrunners had the opportunity to delay filming so Benoist could have maternity leave. Instead we have the titular character going nowhere in her final season for seven episodes. The show could be called Aliens Of National City, as we're seeing the main cast develop in Kara's absence. The show has always been good at characters talking about each other rather than to each other. We see the progress when Nia and Brainy talk to each other, and when J'onn and M'gann talk to each other, and Kelly and Alex talk to each other. But who has Lena got to talk to? At this point I'm wondering if Lena will talk to everyone in succession as a 'welcome to the family', or if the cursory Nia tour and J'onn acknowledgement is it, with the Brainy BrOTP and now Alex dispensing sisterly advice on the Balcony of Feels. "Forgive youself already and move on," seems like huge progress from a woman that was ready to drop a bomb on her.
Lena (I feel like Kara, mentioning her all the time) has added more romantic parallels. On a balcony, Clark told Kara that he'd choose Lois over world, and on a balcony Lena chooses Kara over the world. Lena's priority has always been Kara/Supergirl (she hasn't made saving suits for anyone else). She killed her ex boyfriend Jack, killed her brother, and was prepared to boost the Phantom population to save Kara (people only care if it's humans or human passings dying). "There's no line I wouldn't cross to keep you safe," is what she told her romantic partner James in season 3. Kara's done the same for Lena over the years, notably not dropping her from a plane at the risk of poisoning the water supply, letting Metallo Lena kill her rather than fight her, and wouldn't stop her using Myriad for Non Nocere. Another romantic parallel is the handing over of soul fragments. J'onn brought M'Gann back using a piece of her soul that she'd bonded to him romantically, and Lena was given Kara's digital soul to bring her back.
The digital soul recording being lost forever is an easily unravelled plot point. They could just use a phone to record the recording. Similarly, having to time travel to 2009 Midvale is unnecessary. Alex only remembers Kara solar flaring twice, the window in which to get her DNA to track her. I remember the most recent flare being 5x01, where Kara says she'll solar flare to close the black hole at the event horizon. And I imagine she blew her powers in the Reign fight, which is why she was dropped off the roof. Plus, as much as I like the crystal recording to be gone so the bangs can be forgotten, Kara had to flare to cut her fringe. And in the civilian world, DNA is strong in families. I’m surprised the genetic blueprint for the House of El isn’t in the Fortress. Kara's mother is still alive on Argo, and Clark as a first cousin will share DNA. Heck, even if they pulled Zor-El out by mistake because of the familial match would make sense here to keep Kara gone longer. I can't believe the Earth Prime DEO didn't have a vial of Supergirl's blood on hand in case they needed to get into the Fortress, the way Lillian did in season 2. I should be rewarded for paying attention, not disappointed.
- Why does Zor-El speak Earth languages in the Phantom Zone? I had assumed until 'daughter' that they were speaking Kryptonese but for the sake of the audience it was presented as English. - I do love the data crystal recording though. Talking about found family is one thing, but phrasing it as 'not about names' when people have only ever had issue with the name Luthor. - Nia misses her mom. Brainy offers himself as a replacement. Kara misses the parents she remembered. Taking bets that Lena offers herself as a replacement. - Show not even hiding the rip off ideas from other shows. Ghostbusters! - Apparently Lena doesn't sleep when Kara's in danger. - I'm not bothered that the Fortress of Solitude is 'home' in the mirror. I assume it's programmed to lock onto the nearest Krypton soil sample. -Like the hand holding focus

Ok but what if CD!Reader gets head in the head really REALLY hard on a mission and wakes up mellow as fuck and totally chill for a few hours but then she trips or something and hit her head again and is back to her CD self! What would Bucky think or do? Lol
Oops I did the opposite. And also in conjunction I answered this ask. Bag of Tricks Masterlist
-
When Bucky gets activated again, by some Zemo devotee with the most annoyingly nasal voice you’ve ever heard, he goes savage. It’s absolute helter skelter and worse than you could have ever imagined.
The Winter Soldier. The apex fucking predator of killers. Stories do no justice to how menacing he truly is. Powerful and sinister, black mask on, he’s a wild animal. The arm—Christ, you’ve never seen him wield it like that.
He flattens the SUV you’ve barely rolled out of, shouldering a grenade launcher with ease. You’re beyond pissed when he aims it at you. Dead eyes. Nothing. Not even one single flash of recognition and Steve is screaming at you to stop being so stubborn, goddamnit!
Sorry Cap. You snatch a loose brick from a nearby crumbled structure and fly forward, the fastest your feet have ever taken you and when Bucky fires, by the good grace of God or the Devil—whoever—it misses. You tuck away animal sacrifice to show your thanks for later.
Punches and kicks. Bucky dangling you in the air before you finally get the upper hand and catch his neck between your thighs.
The brick comes down on his temple with a crack. Blood squirts from his forehead like a geyser and he drops. With the discarded launcher by his legs, you swing it one more time into his face for good measure and the sound of the impact may be something you never forget.
A wretched cry spills from your throat, half in anger, half in anguish. You scream until the sound tastes raw.
To the horrified villain tucked away in a car—sorry Cap for the second time because hell no you won’t let even one iota of this motherfucker survive this—you fire with a snarl, and he becomes indistinguishable from mashed red berries sprinkled with metal and glass. Your pistol blasts repeatedly into every enemy corpse on the ground until your wrath is sated. Double-double tap because fuck them.
Steve catches up and pants by your side, distraught and holding his head.
You fall to your knees, running your hand gingerly through Bucky’s bloodied hair.
God. He looks like shit. His face is completely purple on the left, riven slants bursting apart and flooding, nearly exposing his skull and your insides feel just as destroyed.
“Wake up. Wake up. Bucky.” His name is invoked like a prayer between your gritted teeth.
Slowly, blessedly, he obeys, although one eye is swollen shut and his exhale gushes out a tidal wave of blood. You smooth away stray locks with a choked cry, thumb pressing over his cuts to hold them close as much as you can.
Steve shudders in relief because the city would be leveled otherwise. Zemo would be liberated from the Raft to be flayed alive, otherwise. The surrounding carnage already makes his spine tingle with dread.
“Who knew?” You say shakily, “All you needed was recalibration via a swift crack to the noodle.”
“Jesus. Wh-What’d you crack my noodle with? A c-car?” Bucky groans before absently rolling himself into your lap and you know he’s continuing the joke for your sake. His hand feels around for yours, nestling both of them into his hair.
“How the— how the hell did you know…” Bucky pauses when you sniffle.
“Remember when I hit my head on the cabinet door yesterday and went Rain Man for half an hour?”
He groans, answering with some effort. “You scared the shit out of me. You c-called me James.”
You laugh long and hard and rub the tears from your cheek until his blood is smeared all over your brow.
“Yeah. I did scare you, didn’t I? Well, James…” You lean back on one palm, other hand linking itself through his, married together by rust and a quiet understanding. “Consider us even. And please…”
He doesn’t need you to finish. Bucky shushes your pounding heartache with a grip and a slow curling smile— as much as he can, because it’s hard to right now. You reply with your own, just as torn.
And Steve, poor Steve, hovers above and shakes his head at two idiots obviously in love.

Synopsis: When a bolt of lightning splits Barry Allen and the Flash into two different people just in time for the holidays, Barry struggles to find a way to tell Iris how he feels about her - and figure out if she really loves him or the scarlet speedster. My Westallen Secret Santa gift for @abbeyb77!
Chapters: 3/5
Several days later, Iris was seriously wondering what kind of trouble she would get in if she just quietly strangled Barry with her own two hands. It wasn’t that he was being a jerk to her. Quite the contrary; he couldn’t have been more accommodating if he tried. Actually, he was being entirely too accommodating.
On three different occasions, Iris had concocted plausible excuses for the two of them to work together – stories that she thought could conceivable require the insight of a CSI. In each of those instances, the Flash had solved the case shortly thereafter, and Barry had left her a message congratulating her on getting the story. Iris didn’t doubt for a second that Barry had ratted her out to the superhero, no doubt attempting to be kind – he had mentioned that he and the Flash had spoken a time or two. And of course he had no way of knowing it was all a pretext to get close to him. But it didn’t stop her from wanting her to kill him.
She tried to push her homicidal impulses out of her mind as she focused on what he was saying on the other end of the line. “…Flash wanted to apologize for not being able to make your last appointment for that interview –”
“Oh, that’s all right,” she rushed to reassure him. “He had that apartment fire to take care of, after all.”
“Right. Well…he was wondering if you were free to give him another shot. Tonight, eight o’clock? On the CCPN rooftop?”
“Eight? Oh…um…that’s fine,” she agreed.
As she wrapped up the call and she hung up, she tried not to imagine shoving Barry off said rooftop. He was so oblivious, he would probably never see it coming.
“Flash, where are you? You don’t have long before your interview with Iris, and you were the one who wanted to go over some of your answers ahead of time!” Barry hissed into the microphone connected to an earpiece in the superhero’s cowl as he paced back and forth across his living room.
“Oh. Right. Listen. Barry. Can you take care of the interview for me? I don’t think I’ll be able to get back in time.”
“Flash, you can’t do this to me again. Iris is depending on you! Wait. Back? What do you mean, back? Where are you?”
“I’m not sure…Singapore, maybe? There was an emergency…” Barry stifled a sigh. He didn’t begrudge the Flash his heroics, but that was the problem. There was always another emergency, and the Flash seemed less and less able to know when to stop running after them. It was taking a toll on the superhero’s body, and Barry was worried about what might happen if he didn’t find a way to join them back together again soon. Trying one last time to plead his case, he pointed out, “That won’t work! She doesn’t want to talk to me; she wants to talk to you.”
“Yeah, but we’re the same person. Well…we were, not that long ago. Barry, you know I’d do anything for Iris, but this is important, too. You can do this. I believe in you.”
Barry groaned and sank onto the couch. That was easy for the Flash to say; he’d gotten the lion’s share of his confidence when they split into two bodies – not to mention the entirety of whatever “game” Barry had ever possessed in his life. Now it didn’t matter how many times he rehearsed the perfect line in his mind; every time he saw Iris, his thoughts became jumbled and he just made a fool out of himself. Was it any wonder she would prefer his alter-ego’s company to his own?
As though the Flash could read his mind – and given that they had been one person not long ago, it probably didn’t take much for him to guess what Barry was thinking – the superhero suggested, “I know! Make sure the earpiece in your cowl is turned on, and I’ll be able to listen in. If you really get stuck, I’ll help you come up with something to say. Deal?”
Barry hesitated. Would that really work? Would he be able to pull it off without Iris catching on? In his mind, he knew that the smart thing to do would be to call her and postpone her interview with the Flash for another time. Again. But his heart leapt at the thought of spending just a few minutes in her company.
Every time she’d called him about a story, he’d reminded himself that her real interest was in a story about the Flash, so he’d done everything he could to help her out. Even when it broke his heart. If she was attracted to the Flash, if the Flash made her happy, it was the least he could do.
Sometimes he considered telling her the truth about the accident that had split them in two, but it all seemed so unbelievable, he didn’t even know how he would begin. Part of him was beginning to worry that it might not matter, in the end. Try as he might, he was no closer to a cure for their peculiar situation than he was the night of the lightning strike. The loss of his other half was like an ache deep inside him, but he had no guarantee that it could ever be reversed.
If he was never able to undo whatever accident had left the two of them in this state, then he at least wanted Iris to be happy. Even if it was with the other half of himself. But that didn’t mean he wasn’t tempted to steal whatever moments with her that he could get, even if his conscience nagged him about it in the morning.
He would do it. He would take Flash’s place. He told himself it was because he didn’t want to disappoint her, but deep down, he knew it was just so he could have a chance to see her smile.
Iris felt inexplicably nervous as she made her way to the roof. She’d committed hundreds of interviews over the course of her career, but this was her first interview with a superhero – let alone one she had discovered and named.
She opened the door to the roof slowly, letting her eyes scan the bright city lights as she stepped out of the warmth of the building. “Flash? Are you here?”
There was a slight scrape of shoe against cement, and one shadow separated from the rest as a man dressed all in red moved slightly. Resting his fists on his hips, he greeted her with a voice that was slightly too loud, “Hello, citizen!”
In an instant, her nervousness disappeared, and she tried not to laugh. “’Citizen?’” she parroted. “What happened to ‘Miss West’? Anyway, you can call me Iris, you know. It seems only fair since I named you.”
The Flash shifted. His voice dropping softly, he amended his greeting, “Oh. Right. Iris. It’s – it’s good to see you.”
Iris stifled a smile as she pulled out her notebook and began to run through the questions she’d prepared ahead of time. Who was he, how did he get his powers, how fast could he run, what was it like to be the fastest man alive? He responded in a careful, measured tone that indicated he had anticipated the questions and prepared answers ahead of time. It was all useful information, but she felt she was hardly getting to the real story.
Finally, throwing away her prepared questions, she decided to see if she could throw him off and get an honest, unrehearsed answer out of him. “So, tell me, Flash. Do you have a girlfriend?”
“A girlfriend? Me?” he asked in a voice a good octave higher than any he’d used so far. “N-no! I-I mean, I don’t – it wouldn’t be safe for – I c-can’t answer questions that might c-compromise my secret identity!” There was something almost familiar about his embarrassed rambling, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. She pushed that thought aside for the moment when she heard him mumble, “Are you going to help or not?”
Frowning, Iris looked around, wondering who he was talking to. Perhaps she’d misheard him. “I don’t mean to pry into your secret identity, but you should know you can trust me. I would never do anything to put you in danger.”
“I-I trust you,” he replied, without the measured calm that had marked his answers before. “I was just…surprised by the question. So what about you? Are you seeing anyone?”
She shook her head and replied lightly, “Not at the moment. There’s someone I’m interested in, but I don’t know that he feels the same way about me.”
“He does,” the Flash replied with quiet confidence.
Iris tilted her head and considered him in silence for a moment. “How do you know?”
“Because I can’t imagine anyone not being crazy about you,” he replied in a voice so soft she had to strain to hear it. This time, when she stepped forward, he didn’t move away.
She swallowed heavily. “I bet you say that to all the girls.”
He bridged the distance between them, moving out of the shadows, though he kept his face tilted down to obscure his features. Lifting one hand, he traced his thumb across her cheek, and she smelled the earthy scent of his leather glove when she sucked in a sharp breath. “Of course not. You’re special to me, Iris. Don’t you know that by now?”
Biting her lower lip, she gave an almost imperceptible shake of her head. There was something about him that seemed so familiar, so welcoming, and part of her wanted to lean into his warmth. But wasn’t that disloyal, when she had a crush on Barry? Not that he seemed to return her interest. But she thought about the way her heart leapt when she saw Barry, and she sighed. Getting over her crush on him wouldn’t be so easy, she expected.
Trying to pull her attention back to the man in front of her, she lifted one hand to cover his own. “It must be so lonely, doing what you do. I think sometimes you must carry the world on your shoulders – or at least the people of Central City. It can’t be easy. Why do you do it?”
She felt his eyes on her, studying her face, as he replied without taking the time to consider his words. “For the same reason you do what you do, I suppose. Because I can. Maybe I’m the only one who can. I never thought about whether it would be easy, or whether it was dangerous, or anything like that. There’s something I can do that other people can’t, and it’s something that can do a lot of good. I think if you have the ability to help, you have a duty to do so. Don’t you?”
“I suppose,” she agreed with a light laugh. “Although I don’t know that I would compare what I do to what you do. You seem to save the world on a fairly regular basis, after all.”
“And you uncover the truth. You bring people hope. That’s important. You don’t need superpowers to be a superhero, you know.”
She wanted to laugh off his words, but there was a quiet honesty to them that made it impossible for her to doubt his sincerity. “I–” she began, but whatever she’d been about to say – and she couldn’t have said what that was going to be for the life of her – she heard sirens pass by on the street below. “Duty calls, huh?” she asked, stepping back.
She could see the shadow of a frown flicker across his face. “Duty? Oh. Right.”
Turning, she leaned over the railing to watch the police cars speed past. She heard a foot scrape behind her and, a moment later, she saw a flash of light down below, followed by a streak of lightning. Both were gone before she could get a closer look. Had she imagined it?
She watched for a couple more minutes, but when nothing else happened, she allowed herself to relax. So, believing herself to be alone again, Iris let her mind wander as she gazed out over the city she loved, remembering the Flash’s awkward stammering earlier. There was something almost…familiar about it. But it couldn’t be…could it?
As snow started to fall, Iris leaned her head back and stared up at the sky, noticing how it cold the evening air was for the first time. Shivering slightly, she turned and headed for the door, her mind still occupied by thoughts of superheroes and CSIs.
“What happened? I thought you were going to – oh god, are you okay?” Barry blurted when he let himself into his apartment and saw the Flash sprawled out on his couch. With his cowl pushed back, he looked pale and weak, barely able to summon the energy to lift his head off the pillow. “Flash, what’s going on?” He raced to the couch to help the other half of himself sit up, but every time the Flash moved, tiny sparks of lightning arced down his body.
“Hey, Barry. I’ll be okay. I’m sorry about earlier. How did everything go? With Iris, I mean?”
Barry shook his head. His palm still tingled from where he’d pressed it against her cheek, imagining he could feel the softness of her skin through his thick leather glove. He also remembered his embarrassment as he’d hidden behind something on the roof until she left, praying she wouldn’t catch him impersonating the Flash and wishing he’d thought ahead how he would manage to leave with any degree of finesse, since he was lacking super speed. But they could talk about that later. For now, he was worried about what was happening to his alter ego. “That doesn’t matter right now. What happened to you?”
The Flash offered him a shaky smile. “I don’t know what’s happening. It’s…it’s getting harder to slow down. Tonight, I ran so fast…faster than I’d ever gone. I felt myself get pulled into…something. I can’t explain it, but it was so…beautiful. I didn’t know that I would ever come back, and I almost didn’t want to.”
“So how did you?” Barry asked in concern.
The Flash gave a slight shrug, but the gesture seemed to take more energy he had left. “I remembered you had that interview with Iris, and I knew I couldn’t let you down.”
Growing increasingly worried, Barry raced over to his computer and booted it up to pull up the readings he’d been compiling on the Flash. They seemed to confirm his deepest fears – the Flash’s speed had increased to faster than it had ever been, but the toll it was taking on his body was alarming. At this rate, Barry was concerned he would burn himself out. What would happen to him if he did? To either of them?
Although his pulse still raced at the memory of how beautiful Iris had been on the rooftop, Barry knew he couldn’t afford to let himself be distracted by her until he found a way to undo the separation that seemed to be literally killing the Flash. For both their sakes.
Iris found herself unable to get much sleep that night, distracted by a nagging suspicion about the Flash’s secret identity. But when she finally gave up on the pretense of rest, she bounded out of bed with a plan. She dressed quickly, grabbed a quick bite to eat, and booted up her computer to do a quick Internet search. A few minutes later, she slipped Barry’s address in her pocket, poured herself a large cup of coffee to go, and raced out the door. It was time to confront her suspicions head-on.
A while later, however, when she found herself outside of Barry’s apartment, doubt had begun to creep in. Was she reading too much into the Flash’s awkward stammering the night before? Was it possible her crush on Barry had progressed to the point where everything reminded him of her, and she was about to make a gigantic fool of herself?
Only one way to find out. Swallowing the butterflies in her stomach, she raised a hand and knocked sharply on the door. When it opened a moment later, however, she gasped in surprise.
Barry looked pale and drawn, and sweat beaded at his brow. She wondered if she’d inadvertently awoken him, as his hair was mussed, and he was dressed in a white t-shirt and sweats. He looked ill, and Iris’s suspicions fled behind her concern. “Oh, my god, Barry. Are you okay?”
“What? I’m not –” He broke off with a weak cough and shook his head. “Sorry, you caught me at a bad moment. I’m just feeling a little under the weather.”
“I can see that. You look terrible,” Iris said, rushing forward to press her palm against his forehead. When her hand made contact, a spark arced between them, causing her to gasp in surprise more than pain. “Oh, sorry about that,” she mumbled, though she was gratified to see a little more color return to his face as she ushered him towards the couch. The television was on, and Iris saw images flicker past the screen on fast-forward. After helping Barry back to the couch, she grabbed the remote and hit pause, freezing the frame.
Upon realizing what show he was watching, she couldn’t help but smile. “C.S.I.?” she asked. “I wouldn’t have thought you’d enjoy that show, given what you do for a living.”
“Oh, no, it’s great,” he replied. “I’ve learned a lot. Did you know you can take a blurry photo from a security camera six blocks away and enhance it to the point you can read the license plate? It’s amazing!”
Assuming he was being sarcastic, Iris laughed, though she was still looking at him in concern. “Is there anything I can get you? Water or…or soup or something?”
He shook his head. “No, I’m okay. Actually, I feel a lot better already, just being with you.”
He did look a lot better, she decided, as she checked for a temperature again. He felt a little cooler than he had a few minutes before, though another spark arched between them as they touched. “Oh, god, I don’t mean to keep shocking you with static electricity like this.” But she noticed he looked even better than he had a moment before as she shrugged out of her coat and scarf, hoping thought would help.
“It’s all right. It doesn’t hurt at all,” he reassured her, grabbing her hand and giving it a slight tug to draw her onto the couch next to him. She felt herself blush when he linked his fingers in hers. She’d been trying for ages to find a way to ask him out, and now they were alone together and he was looking at her like he really saw her – and her interest in him – for the first time. It was enough to make her tongue-tied.
With a lopsided smile, he asked, “So, not that I’m not glad to see you, but what brings you by, anyway?”
Iris threw him a sheepish smile in return. In the harsh light of day, having seen how sick Barry appeared to be a few minutes before, her suspicions seemed more than a little concerned. She’d seen the Flash get injured in a battle against another meta human and move around minutes later as though he was fine, so she suspected he had some sort of advanced healing capability. If that were true, was it even possible for him to get sick?
Although, when she looked at him now, Barry hardly seemed sick. In fact, if she didn’t know better, she’d never have suspected he’d looked like he was on death’s door. Feeling hopelessly uncertain, she scrambled for an excuse. “Oh, it’s – it’s nothing. I was just…there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you, but if it’s a bad time…”
“When it comes to you, it’s never a bad time,” he reassured her.
Iris let out an incredulous laugh. “You’re a smooth talker, aren’t you?” she asked, almost unable to reconcile the flattering man in front of her with the subject of her crush, who hadn’t picked up on her numerous attempts to flirt with him in the past.
Her heart almost stopped when he threw her a wicked grin. “That depends. Is it working?”
She choked on her gasp of surprise and threw him a suspicious look through narrowed eyes. “Okay, that’s it. Who are you and what have you done with the real Barry Allen?”
For a second, an expression of near-panic crossed his face, but it passed so quickly, she could almost swear she imagined it. “I don’t know what you mean!” he protested. “I’m really Barry!”
“Uh huh. You must be feverish if you’re flirting with me. You’ve never done that before, you know.”
He relaxed imperceptibly. “Maybe I’ve wanted to.” Her heart hammering, she met his eyes, and he asked, “So, tell me…are you seeing anyone right now?”
“I’m – I – I –” she stammered, her brain scrambling to process this new reality. Was this real life? Barry Allen was actually flirting with her, after all the times she’d all but thrown herself at him and hit nothing but a brick wall? Wondering if this was some kind of trick or misunderstanding – or the byproduct of his fever – she chose her words carefully when she replied, “I’m not, but I do have a crush on…someone. I just…was sure he didn’t feel the same way about me.”
Barry started stroking his thumb along the sensitive skin of her palm. “Oh, really? Who’s the lucky guy? And what can I do to help you change your mind?”
She shook her head, hardly able to believe her ears. “Now I think I must have a fever. I’m pretty sure I have to be imagining this,” she mumbled, unable to believe her ears.
Barry lifted his free hand to stroke her cheek, his thumb brushing against her bottom lip, though he didn’t release the hand he held in his own. “Come on, Iris. I know I may not always be good at showing it, but you have to know you’re special to me.”
His words were so familiar, so similar to the words the Flash had spoken to her the night before, that “I – I –” she stammered again. She opened her mouth to confess that, in fact, he was the lucky guy and had been all along, when she heard a sound from a back room. The bedroom? It sounded like someone moving around, and her heart sank. Did Barry have someone over? If they were hiding in his bedroom, it wasn’t likely to be a friend. Was it another girl? But if so, what was he doing flirting with her?
Snatching her hand back from his, she blurted, her voice tinged with anger and disappointment in his behavior, “I’m sorry; I didn’t realize you had company. I shouldn’t bother you.” At his confused look, she said, “If you had another girl over, you could have just told me. You didn’t have to pretend to flirt with me to distract me. What you do with your personal life isn’t any of my business.”
“What? That’s not another girl! It’s – uh – the Flash.”
Iris froze in her tracks and turned on him slowly. “What?”
“Uh, yeah. He came over to ask for my help with something he’s working on.”
“And now he’s hiding in your bedroom because?”
Barry shrugged. “Well, he doesn’t think it’s a good idea for people to find out we work together. It could be dangerous, you know.”
Iris wasn’t sure what to believe. On the one hand, she wanted to believe that Barry wasn’t hiding another girl in his bedroom. Not that she had any claim on him, but if he really was involved with someone else, any chance she’d have of him reciprocating her feelings would be lost. On the other hand, she’d been so convinced a minute ago that Barry and Flash were the same person. The way they’d both told her she was special to them was so similar. Could she really have been wrong?
“Here, give me just a second. I’ll go get him,” Barry blurted, jumping to his feet. The energy he displayed as he raced to the back room belied any indication he’d ever been sick.
A moment later, the door opened and Barry staggered out, his hair even more mussed than it had been before he left. “What are - Iris! I - uh - wh-”
Before he could continue, the Flash appeared next to him. “Well, Barry, I almost didn’t believe you when you said Iris was here.”
“You didn’t?” he asked in a hollow voice.
“Hey, there, pretty lady. I wasn’t expecting to see you again so soon, but you’re always a sight for sore eyes.” He grinned as he approached but Iris only vaguely noticed. Her eyes were locked on Barry’s. She watched as he blushed bright red and shifted his weight back and forth anxiously. Whatever quiet confidence he’d found earlier had clearly fled, leaving behind the shy, awkward man who had stolen her heart to begin with. She had to clutch her hands behind her back to resist the urge to brush his hair back from his face, though she did give a surreptitious glance around the room, looking for hidden mistletoe. Hoping she could maneuver him under it before she left, to steal a kiss. To her chagrin, however, she saw no Christmas decorations at all.
“I-I should leave you two alone,” Barry said, sounding miserable as he edged back towards his bedroom. “I’m not dressed for company.”
“Don’t be ridiculous!” the Flash interjected, speeding over to his friend and wrapping his arm around the other man’s shoulders, encouraging him forward. “Iris saw you like this a minute ago and she didn’t mind. Did she?”
“She did? So that’s why you - I-I mean of course she did,” he replied, glaring at the superhero in red.
“Anyway, you mentioned she had a question for you. How can we help, Iris?”
Iris felt her cheeks grow hot as she wondered how Barry could possibly have imparted as much as he apparently did in his short absence. Still, with the two of them before her, there was absolutely no doubt that her suspicions that Barry and the Flash were the same person were wrong. She couldn’t even delude herself into thinking that the Flash was an impersonator, since she’d just seen him use his powers. And the man who stood before her in his nightclothes was undeniably, adorably, heart-breakingly Barry.
She’d come over with a plan to ask Barry if he was secretly the Flash - after reassuring him that he could trust her with his secret, of course - but she could hardly do so now. And any thought she’d entertained of asking him out to dinner - again - fled when she saw how uncomfortable he was at the moment. Maybe a minute ago, when he’d flirted with her with a level of self-assurance that he’d rarely displayed in their interactions of late. But whatever sickness had possessed him, to make him actually flirt with her, was clearly gone. “Oh, I - it isn’t - it isn’t important,” she stammered. Feeling both men’s eyes on her, she rushed to lie, “I can’t even remember what it was now. Anyway, you’re clearly busy, so I should - I should go. I’m glad you’re feeling better, Barry. You should, um, you should take care of yourself.”
“I am?” Barry asked, shooting the Flash another quick glance. Then, with a slight frown, he turned his attention back to Iris. She was almost to the door when he called out her name. She paused, turning to face him again, and she caught her breath when he walked close to her. “I just wanted to say…”
“Yes?” she breathed as his voice trailed off, halfway hoping that he was about to tell her he was crazy about her and always had been.
Barry’s mouth twisted into a quick scowl and then he leaned down and scooped her scarf off the couch, where it had fallen when she was speaking with him earlier. “Don’t forget your scarf. It’s cold out there.” When she didn’t move to take it right away, he slowly looped it around her neck, tying it carefully before gently tucking the ends of the scarf under the folds of her coat.
Grateful to have an excuse to touch him again, Iris lifted her hand to press it against his forehead, but her traitorous palm didn’t make it that far. Instead, she found herself cupping his cheep, brushing her thumb against the side of his mouth. Once again, there was a spark between them, though it was somewhat milder than before. “I’m glad you’re feeling better, Barry. Take care of yourself, all right?”
There was an expression she couldn’t read in his hazel eyes, and she stared at him as though trying to commit every fleck of gold to memory. Then, before she could make a greater fool of herself, she dropped her hand and darted out the door.
As she raced down the stairs, she heard the faint strains of an old Christmas song filter through a neighbor’s door. “”I’ll have a blue Christmas without you. I’ll be so blue just thinking about you. Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree won’t be the same, dear, if you’re not here with me…”

Thunderbirds Meet Thunderbirds: Chapter 27
Okay! chapter 27! we getting to the good stuff now :D I hope you guys enjoy this!
Rest of the chapters
Fermat’s Pov.
Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!
His head snapped up at the alarm, freezing in fear as memories of Spring Break flood him.
Small vents…Thunderbird One’s flames chasing them ... nearly being burned alive.... freezing cold water... drowning...fear...running ...cold...yellow eyes-
“Fermat!” Tintin yelled, snapping him out of his thoughts.
“Tintin!” he gasped, running over to her. “Do...do you k-know what’s going on?!” His eyes were wide, trying not to panic.
She shook her head. “No! But someone must be on the is-”
The alarm sounded again, Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!
“-land” Tintin finishes, constantly looking around, like someone was going to jump out at them any moment now.
A horrifying thought hit him, what if it’s.. .“Y-you don’t t-think i-it’s h-him?”
Tintin eyes widen, the same name coming to mind. “It can’t be-”
“Fermat! Tintin!”
They both jump spinning around to see who called their name. Virgil was hurrying towards them, looking beyond worried. Probably remembering Spring Break too...
Alan and Al were also with Virgil and Al was-wait what!? Al looked like he had been crying?!
“Follow me, I have no time to explain!” Virgil commanded, gesturing for them to follow him.
“Virgil! Where are you taking us?!” Alan asked, running to keep up with Virgil. “Will you answer me?!”
“No time! I’ll explain when we get there, okay?" Virgil turned the corner, leading them into the…. the library? What?
Virgil didn’t slow down, he ran up to one of the bookshelves and started moving the books, pushing some back and shoving some forward.
“Virgil! What are you-“ the bookshelf slid open, making all but Virgil’s eyes widen. There was a metal door behind it which Virgil quietly put a code in for.
Virgil opened the door, holding it open “In!” Virgil’s tone left no room for argument.
They all quietly made their way into the room and Virgil closed the door with a click.
“W-what is this pl-place?” He asked, looking around. There were two couches, a fridge and another room that he guessed was a bathroom.
Virgil sighed, “It's a safe room-“
“Safe room?” Alan’s eyes narrowed.
“Yes, safe room." Virgil nodded. "We installed it after Spring Break.“ A confused look crossed Al’s face. “It's designed to keep you safe." Alan’s eyes narrowed further, crossing his arms. “If someone tries to break-in, the room will go into lockdown, giving you time to escape through here-“ Virgil pushed a patch on the wall, which opened a small tunnel “- but unless someone is trying to break in, which hopefully  won’t happen-“ Virgil tapped the patch on the wall again, closing the tunnel. “-you are to stay here until one of us comes to get you, understood?”
“Y-yes, Virgil..” he said with a nod as he sat down on the couch.
“Sure..” Al said half-heartedly, sitting down in the corner with his legs to his chest.
What’s wrong with him? Like honestly? Why does Al have tear stains on his cheeks?
“We understand, Virgil,” Tintin nodded, taking a seat next to him on the couch.
The only one that hasn’t said anything was Alan, who was glaring at Virgil.
“So we’re hiding…?” Alan asked, his arms crossed.
“Until we figure out what’s going on, yes.. you’re hiding” Virgil said sternly, staring down at Alan. “And you will stay in here, understood?”
Alan’s glare in intensified. “No! I’m not staying he-“
“You are and you will!” Virgil glared at Alan. “I don’t have time for this! Just stay here and look after your friends, okay?” Virgil walked up to the door, Alan following.
“I can help-“
“If you want to help, stay here! Look after Al-“ Alan’s shoulders tensed, “-heaven knows he needs someone right now!” Virgil said as he checked if anyone was in the library through a small computer screen beside the door.
Alan’s shoulders dropped in defeat. “Fine..just be…” Alan glared at the floor, “just be careful will you?”
Virgil’s eyes softened. “I will, Sprout, promise” Virgil opened the door. “See you soon..” and with a click, the door closed.
“Yeah..” Alan sighed, looking at the door. “Yeah, see you soon too, Virg.....I hope..”
---
A couple of minutes earlier, Jeff Tracy's office. Scott pov.
Virgil had left the office a minute ago with Alan and Al, taking them to the safe room. Tintin’s parents had heard the alarm and had made their way to the office the fastest they could, knowing that they were up there.
Tintin and Fermat weren’t here, so they could only hope that Virgil had found them as he was taking Alan and Al to the safe room. The alternative option of why they were missing from the room was troubling, he thought with a frown, watching as Brains typed away at the computer, trying to locate the intruder.
To say he was mad would be an understatement. He was beyond angry at this point. This intruder had invaded their home and at the worse time too. ..Al’s tear ridden face flashing through his mind.
Why did this have to happen today? He thought sharing a look with John, who looked just as worried and as troubled as he felt.
He looked at the locked office door with a worried frown, he really hopes Virgil got to the safe room without trouble...he would call if he did run into trouble, wouldn’t he?
Brains cheered, “I found them! They’re in the-” Brains froze, his eyes widening.
What? Where are they - oh shit! He thought, his eyes widening and his fury intensifying. “There’re in the hanger?!” he roared, not believing his eyes.
“What?! How did they-!” Gordon gasped,
“Brains, how many are there?” Dad asked, taking command.
“J-just one from w-what I c-can see, Mr Tracy” Brains zoomed in, a figure coming into focus. It was a man, a man wearing a weird looking blue suit.
“Dad, what are we going to do?!” Gordon asked  “That guy down in the hanger! How did he even get down there?!”
His eyes widen as he realised something, that guy was down there with the Thunderbirds, he knew they were the Thunderbirds...that guy was too close to his Thunderbird! He thought with a growl as he saw the blue suit guy stare up at his bird in astoundment.
“Dad, we need to do something." He growled, glaring a hole into the computer screen. “The Thunderbirds...”
“I know, Scott,” Dad sighed, frowning. “Brains, lock down the hanger and activate Protocol 65.”
Protocol 65? I haven’t heard of that one...
Brains’ eyes widened. “Y-yes sir!” Brains typed something into the computer and a second later they watched as the guy in the blue suit started to sway on his feet, struggling to stay upright.
What was going on?! He thought with wide eyes as the figure on the screen collapsed to the floor, unconscious. He turned to Dad with wide eyes and asked, “Okay, What was that?!”

Cisco Ramon x Reader: That Part
Hello everybody! So, if any of you need to know, I’m in waayyy too many fandoms for my own good. Sorry… not really. Anyway, Cisco is just literal BAE so here’s a fanfiction requested by… ME. Have fun!
 Requested: No
Warnings: Not really?
Word count: 647 (Frick, it’s short. Sorry guys!)
Things you probably wanna know, for all you ‘x reader’ illiterates:
 (Y/N): Your Name
(H/C): Hair Colour / Color
(E/C): Eye Colour / Color
You were the newest member of ‘Team Flash’, both a meta-human and a scientist. Well, technically, you weren’t officially a member. You were one of Cisco’s close friends from high school and university, and he accidentally slipped the fact that he was working with the Flash. If he was being quite honest, however, he really did want to tell her from the very beginning, even though Caitlin tried to convince him not to.
The two of you bonded over your love of pop-culture, music and technology. Whenever he needed to rant about work or how terrible the latest hits were, he would almost always go to you. You were even the first person he told about his powers. The two of you would go on for hours, discussing theories, coming up with technology to help the team, or even to just talk about the most random things.
One Saturday afternoon, the two of you were at Jitters discussing a book over a cup of coffee.
“You can borrow it if you want,” Cisco suggested as you read the first few pages of the book.
You looked up, eyebrows furrowing. “I thought this was your favourite book?”
“It is, but you’ve never read it, haven’t you?” He snickered as you slowly shook your head. “Even after all these years of me pestering you to read it?”
“I havent had the time, okay!” You laughed. “Besides, there’s a movie version, right?”
“(Y/N), (Y/N), (Y/N). You really don’t understand the beauty of reading, do you?” Just as you were about to protest, he quickly continued. “The movie is like the summary. It has all the best bits-”
“But not the information, I know, I know.” You rolled your eyes, a fond smile washing over your features. “Alright, Cisco, I’ll read it. But it better be good.”
“Trust me, Angel Eyes. It’s going to be worth your time.”
You walked into work the following Monday, head in the book that Cisco lent to you. You were so busy reading, you didn’t realise that there was somebody in front of you. Before the person can notice you and move out of the way, you ran straight into their chest.
“Woah, (Y/N),” A voice laughed, and you recognised it to be the fastest man alive.
“Oops, sorry, Barry,” you fixed up your sunglasses on your head. “I didn’t see you there.”
“Obviously. Whatcha reading, anyway?”
“Just a book that Cisco lent me,” you answered vaguely, your head back in the book. At that moment, a breach opened up beside you and there was the Spanish man himself. “Hey, Cisco! I was just talking about you!”
“Oh, hey, Angel! I didn’t know you were coming in today,” He frowned, sipping his coffee. “Do you want me to get you a drink?”
“Nah don’t worry about it, Rapunzel, I got this,” You grinned before turning back to the book. Cisco watched your eyes widen and he knew exactly what you were up to. “Omigosh, omigosh, omigosh!” You shrieked loudly, alerting Caitlin and Sherloque to run into the Cortex.
“What’s going on?! Who’s in trouble?!” Caitlin demanded, her hands beginning to freeze.
“Don’t worry, guys, (Y/N) is just really into this book.”
All eyes turned to you as your eyes scanned over each word. As you passed over each line, you began to tremble, eyes widening some more. Without any warning, you angrily threw the book at Cisco who dodged with ease. “You jerk!”
At that, the man burst out laughing, confusing the rest of the team. “I can’t believe you’re already at that part!”
“You could have at least warned me!”
“Um, guys? Mind filling us in?” Barry raised an eyebrow.
“This idiot,” you began pointing an accusing finger at Cisco who burst into more giggles, “lent me a book. And that book had a WOOHOO SCENE AND HE DIDN’T EVEN WARN ME ABOUT IT!”

Some yammering and potentially spoilery speculation about Heroes In Crisis behind a cut because it’s only somewhat on topic for the blog.
The rumours that have been going around for months are a) Wally is the HiC killer, having been driven mad by the loss of his family, or b) the killer is Hunter Zolomon impersonating Wally, or c) Wally's aforementioned madness inadvertently created a Speed Force duplicate which is the killer.  This cover and solict could be misleading -- maybe Wally has nothing to do with the killings and the Park-Wests could be red herrings -- or maybe one of the rumours was right all along.  I expect a shitstorm either way.
The rumours also suggest Wally's going to end up on Suicide Squad after being identified as the killer, so there's also that potentially happening too.  Assuming there’s any validity to the rumours, of course.

Playing With Lightning (Fic)
Author: darriness
Word Count: 3636
Pairings: Barry Allen/Darren Criss/Mia Swier
Summary: Darren notices something interesting in his coworker
Rating: NC-17
Author’s Note: SO I NEVER INTENDED TO FINISH THIS AND THEN I DID AND HERE IT IS. Written PURELY for my own enjoyment (and whoever else would enjoy reading it). Don’t send me angry asks please. This is just for fun. An idea that popped into my head like two years ago and is now finished (I have never written RPF (well in this case partly RPF) and never will again!). I’m not even posting in on AO3. I just thought...other people might want to read it? Because I enjoyed it) Enjoy!
Playing with Lightening (Fic)
Finding out your costar has super powers is fucking trippy. The first time Darren saw Barry flash somewhere he thought he was high. He then realized he was at work, therefore NOT high, and he had just seen Barry fucking Allen move so fast he almost missed him to the craft services table before moving back to where he needed to be for the next shot.
Darren had looked around to see if anyone else had noticed but everyone else was otherwise occupied. He had then turned back to Barry, who shot him an innocuous smile before turning back to whatever was on his phone.
The second time he sees Barry move faster than anyone has the right to move, it’s at the wrap party and Darren wishes he can blame it on the alcohol but he has only had one drink and he is most certainly NOT drunk as he watches Barry one minute standing talking to a DP and the next, when she turns around to acknowledge someone who has tapped her shoulder, Barry is gone in a flash of red, only to return seconds later before the DP turns back around.
“Did you just see that?” He asks leaning over to Mia who is tapping a quick text on her phone.
“See what?” She asks without REALLY looking up, wrap parties are fun but she’s got work to do.
“Barry, he just…moved really fast.” Darren finishes lamely with a grimace. He hates sounding anything less than intelligent.
“What are you on about?” Mia asks, pocketing her phone with a sigh and resting a hand on Darren’s thigh casually.
“Nothing. It’s stupid.” Darren shrugs, sliding his arm along the back of Mia’s chair and changing the subject to the new bookshelves they’re planning to buy for their front room.
It’s an hour later and this time, it’s Mia who notices the flash. She’s talking to an assistant and she feels a breeze in an otherwise breezeless room. She looks around to see what could have caused it when she notices Barry settling back into place next to the sound system (where he had been a moment before), a crackle of energy following behind him.
“I gotta go.” Mia says, interrupting the assistant and not really caring as she makes her way over to Darren who is fiddling with a piano, “We need to talk.” Is all she says before dragging him from the room amidst his protests.
“Hey, I was just about to play something.” He says as he tries to keep his drink from spilling.
“You are literally ALWAYS about to play something. It can wait.” She says, pushing him against the wall just outside the door holding the party, “I saw it.”
“Saw…what?” He asks confused, “The light?” He tries and is smacked in the arm for his efforts.
“No, you douche, I saw Barry. “Move really fast”.” She says parroting his words from earlier.
His eyes widen and he points at her with enthusiasm, “You did! Fucking right you did! I’m not crazy!”
“You are crazy but when it comes to this at least you’re correct.” He pouts at this but she just grabs his chin and plants a hard kiss on his lips to placate him. It works. It always works.
“So Barry Allen can move faster than the blink of an eye? Do we…tell him we know?” Darren asks. He hadn’t thought much past ‘Holy fuck’.
Mia seems to think for a minute, taping her fingers against where they rest on his chest before a slow smile spreads across her face, “I know exactly what we’re going to do.” She says, stopping her taping and instead trailing her finger slowly along the buttons of his shirt.
He looks down at said finger and then back up at her face, knowing exactly what both her finger and face are saying, “You greedy girl.” He smiles slowly as she bites her lip.
She shrugs as innocently as she can but they both know she’s the naughty one in this relationship. Innocent isn’t something she pulls off very well.
“Can we ask him?” She asks like he really has a say in the matter.
He rolls his eyes to emphasize this point before huffing, “Go. Do your thing.”
“Don’t act like you won’t enjoy it.” She giggles, slapping his chest lightly before trailing her fingers along it to his shoulder as she moves to the door, “Go play something nice on the piano and we’ll meet you there.” She says.
When she’s gone, Darren has to subtly adjust himself before doing what he’s told. He’s amazed after so many years together that a little talk and innocent touching can get him going but he assumes that’s what happens when you just work with another person.
He’s in the middle of playing his own arrangement of Can’t Stop the Feeling when he feels hands he’s very familiar with smooth across his shoulders. He doesn’t stop playing, just leans back slightly into the curve of her body, letting her breasts pillow his head, “Look who I brought.” She says, kissing into his hair.
Darren still doesn’t stop playing as he turns to see Barry Allen standing next to Mia looking only slightly awkward. He’s all wide eyes and sweetness, Darren wonders what Mia said to get to this moment.
“I thought we could all head back to our place. Have a drink or two.” Barry’s nodding before Mia has finished her sentence which leads Darren to believe this isn't news to him.
“Sure.” Darren smiles easily and twenty minutes later they are settling on Darren and Mia’s leather couch, each with a glass of wine.
“You guys have a lovely home.” Barry comments, smoothing his jeans down his thighs as Mia sits next to him and Darren sits in the arm chair next to the couch.
“You’re so sweet.” Mia murmurs almost to herself. She pushes off her sandals and lets her feet curl up under herself, resting her knee touching Barry’s thigh, “So how does it work?” She asks and by the way Barry doesn’t even flinch at the question Darren surmises she already told him they know he can move faster than any human should move.
Barry laughs with a slight cough, “It’s the age old story: get struck by lightning, spend nine months in a coma, wake up and you’re the fastest man alive.” He shrugs at the end.
“And I’m guessing it’s not something you broadcast?” Darren asks curiously.
Barry shakes his head, “Would you?” He asks, “A few people know, but not many.”
“And you’re really okay…testing out what that speed can do?” Mia asks suggestively.
Barry shrugs, “Sure. You guys are…hot.” He finishes with another shrug and a laugh. Darren has known Barry for almost a year and he still can’t get over how adorably goofy this man is.
Mia smiles and suddenly the energy in the room changes. She leans closer to Barry and captures his lips in a kiss that is dirty from the start. Darren watches as she opens her mouth to his and can hear her soft moan when their tongues meet. Darren always finds it fascinating to watch Mia kiss other people. Fascinating and incredibly attractive.
It’s clear from the beginning that Mia is in charge of the kiss but Barry is not entirely passive. He brings his hands up to smooth them down her sides and Darren hears Mia sigh.
Mia pulls away and smirks when Barry tries to follow, “So Mr. Allen, what exactly are you up for?” She whispers.
Barry’s eyes flick to Darren before focussing back on Mia, “Anything.” He’s out of breath from the kiss.
Mia hums, “That’s a lofty word. ‘Anything’ can go a long way with us.”
Barry swallows audibly but it doesn’t appear to be from nerves, “I’m fine with that.”
Mia smiles again and slowly gets up from the couch and moves to Darren who is sitting back with his wine, “I’m going to go into the bedroom and freshen up. Why don’t you test out a few things that fall under the umbrella of ‘anything’ before coming to join me?” She asks before kissing him. She had meant it to be a quick kiss but with the current mood, their quick kiss quickly turns into Mia grabbing a fist full of those curls she loves so much and titling his head back until it’s at the perfect angle. He lets her move him, groaning at the tug on his hair and takes whatever she gives.
She pulls away after a moment and they are both breathing heavily, Darren’s eyes already losing focus, “We are…really good at that.” She whispers so only he’ll hear.
“Hell yes we are.” Darren agrees, kissing her slowly one more time before she straightens. If she doesn’t separate herself from him she may very well forget they have a guest.
“I’ll see you boys in a minute.” she says before moving past the chair and down the hall to their bedroom.
Darren focuses back on Barry who is all but panting on the couch, his eyes blown black and definite interest showing at the front of his jeans, “Wow.” Barry breathes and Darren smirks before getting up and sitting next to his costar.
“Ever kiss a guy before, Barry?” He asks. Barry shakes his head no and Darren shrugs, “It’s not much different than kissing a woman to be honest. More stubble. Harder? I find there’s always more of a push back. But otherwise, very similar.”
“Do you spend a lot of time kissing men?” Barry asks.
Darren laughs, “It seems to be a career move I make more often than not but outside of work? Not really. Mia seems to enjoy it when she watches though and anything I can do to make that girl happy? Well, it’s not a hardship.”
“I could see wanting to make her happy for sure.” Barry agrees, his eyes flicking down the hall Mia had left down.
“Watch yourself, Speedster.” Darren says playfully before leaning in and capturing the other man’s lips in a kiss. He can tell Barry is nervous and not quite sure what to do at the beginning but Darren gives it a moment or two and he can feel the moment Barry realizes this isn’t really much different than kissing a woman. He relaxes and seems to melt back into the couch and actually groans when Darren lets his tongue flick briefly passed his parted lips.
“Now that’s a sound I like to hear.” Mia’s voice has them separating and both turn towards her. Darren’s got a smile on his face and Barry is touching his lips like he’s still trying to figure out what just happened.
“I thought we were coming to join you, my darling.” Darren says letting his eyes trails appreciatively over her body as she stands there in just her panties and bra.
She shrugs and pushes her hair behind her ear, “I got tired of waiting.”
“It’s been three minutes.” Darren comments but gets up anyway and gestures for Barry to do the same.
The trio make their way to Darren and Mia’s bedroom and Mia crawls onto the bed the minute they’re inside, resting back against the pillow. Darren isn’t about to ignore an invitation like that and smoothly shifts on top of her to catch her mouth in a kiss. Her arms comes to rest around his neck and he lets his hands roam while they kiss; tracing a path down her neck, over her breasts and down her stomach. He can feel her stomach muscles clench at the move. He knows for a fact that this turns her on, foreplay with her in her underwear and him fully clothed. She will often refuse to let him get undressed some night until she’s come.
Mia arches her back as Darren lets his hand slide between her legs briefly. She’s wet, she knows it, and she knows he knows it too before he even touches lightly through her panties. Damn him for knowing how to so quickly get her going.
She pulls back from the kiss to pant, “Now Darren, we don’t want to be rude to our guest, do we?” She asks and the two of them turn their heads to find Barry standing at the side of the bed, a hand massaging his obvious hard on, “We did invite him over to have some fun. Be a good boy and let him have a turn.” She says and feels Darren slide to lie next to her but unable to actually stop touching her, lying a hand on her stomach and letting his fingers smooth across her skin. She lets him, knows he rarely stops moving, and gestures for Barry to join her. He does and with only mild encouragement takes over the same spot Darren had just occupied, “Hey.” She says, seeming to realize why he’s hesitating, “You said you were okay with anything? Well so are we. Darren and I love sharing our bed from time to time but we are also a very secure couple. We will tell you if something passes a boundary and we expect you to do the same. But otherwise? Just let go and be.”
Barry lets out a shaky breath where he’s perched on top of her, not letting any of his weight settle and glances over at Darren. At Darren’s nod of confirmation he seems to drop whatever hang ups he had with the shake of the head and he begins kissing Mia with gusto, “That’s a good boy.” Mia murmurs between kisses, “Show me what you got.”
Barry lets his hands travel the same path Darren’s took and Mia notes his hands are smoother than Darren’s. It makes sense, considering the amount of guitar Darren plays. His hands are calloused and warm while Barry’s are smooth and cool to the touch. Darren’s hand is still smoothing over her stomach when Barry’s hand slips into the cup of her bra. She sighs and lets her head fall back. Her breasts and nipples have always been really sensitive, something Darren found out early and exploits often.
“Put your mouth on them.” She gasps when Barry flicks her nipple with his finger.
“Which of us are you talking to?” Darren murmurs into her ear.
“Both. Both is good.” Mia decides because why the hell not?
Both men smirk before Barry moves to settle on her other side. They each take a bra cup and peel it back, letting them rest underneath her breasts before using their hands to massage the flesh they just uncovered. The sensation of two different hands is always strange and yet amazing but Mia loses her breath completely when simultaneously the men bring their mouths to their respective nipples.
“Holy shit.” She gasps. It isn’t often she gets the warm wet cavern of a mouth on both her nipples at the same time. She arches her back as both men start to flick their tongues back and forth across her nipples while simultaneously sucking softly.
“Oh you two are the best boys.” She sighs and that’s when she feels it. A vibration against her left nipple. She thinks at first that Barry is just moaning, she loves that, but soon realizes this is a much more intense feeling and one that last longer than a moan against her flesh, “Oh my god!” She moans fisting a hand into the hair at the back of both of their heads and if she’s not mistaken she can actually FEEL Barry smirk against her breast. His tongue is vibrating. Literally vibrating against her flesh and she screws her eyes shut to try and stave off the orgasm she can feel building just from that.
“Holy fuck I need…I want…You need to…” She aborts each sentence because she isn’t sure WHAT she want or needs at this point. Both men pick their heads up and look at her and she does know ONE thing, that them stopping was not something she wants OR needs, “Did I tell you to stop?”
“Well you were in the middle of telling us a lot of different things there but didn’t finish any of them.” Darren jokes before settling down to whisper in her ear, “You wanna go once to get warmed up?” Sometimes she does and sometimes she doesn’t. Some nights the idea of coming more than once is exhausting and she’d rather just wait until the end but on other nights, when she’s REALLY feeling it, coming once at the beginning can be a relief to her over stimulated system. In her current state, that husky whisper is enough to give Mia a full body shiver and she knows her answer for tonight.
“Yes.” She whines, shoving him down and away and she knows she doesn’t need to speak for him to get the idea. She pulls Barry so his face is right above hers and says in the most commanding voice she can muster at the moment, “Do that again.” Before directing his head back to her breasts.
The vibrations start up again almost immediately and Barry’s hand takes over where Darren’s mouth had been as Darren mouths his way down her body before pulling her panties down her legs.
Darren’s ability to get her off with his mouth is both familiar and yet always surprising and it doesn’t take long before she’s arching off the bed, almost crushing his head between her thighs as she moans long and low.
Both boys pull away from her, smiling (Barry’s pleased and Darren’s knowing) and she sighs as she stretches, “Mmmmm, more.” She says, simply.
Darren smiles and moves up her body, kissing her lightly before whispering, “Who do you want where?”
Mia considers her options before peeking at Barry under Darren’s arm, “Does…every part of you vibrate?”
And just like that the decision is made. Barry settles between her legs as Darren kneels next to her head, tangling a hand in her hair as the other man puts on a condom, “You’ve got a real life vibrator.” Darren says with a smirk.
Mia giggles, leaning up to pull the tip of Darren’s cock between her lips for a brief moment, pulling off and licking her lips at the precome she finds there. Darren’s breath stutters out of him and the hand in her hair tightens.
They both look down the bed to watch Barry watching them, pulling almost absent-mindedly at his sheathed erection, “Whenever you’re ready.” Mia says and it seems to snap Barry back to attention. He shakes his head as if to clear it and then shuffles forward, hooking her thigh with one hand and guiding his cock with the other.
She sighs as he enters her, it’s different than Darren but no less pleasing, before reaching behind Darren’s ass and using it to pull him toward her mouth. All three moan as they settle into position and there’s a moment where no one moves. They’re all frozen in a tableaux full of sexual energy before Barry breaks the moment and begins to thrust.
It doesn’t take long before Darren is shallowly thrusting back and forth as well before moaning long and low as Mia squeals around his cock. He knows the squeal comes from Barry beginning to vibrate and the three are caught in a feedback loop of pleasure as they all chase their orgasms.
Mia comes first, moaning around Darren as Barry pushes in at just the right angle to cause her to tense and then relax with a moan. Barry comes second, unable to handle the clenching walls around him, filling the condom with a drawn out moan of his own.
Darren watches this all happen with panting breath. He looks down at Mia’s pink lips around him and asks, “Can I?”
Mia pulls off with a smile and a nod and Darren almost ‘whoops’ with joy as he shuffles down the bed, “Excuse me, my good man.” He says to Barry who, dazed, pulls out and sits heavily on the end of the bed.
Darren quickly takes his place and slides in with a groan, setting a brutal pace as Mia’s feet settle on his ass to encourage him, “That’s it. Come in me.” She says, sluggishly. She’s tired, after having come twice.
Darren lets his head drop to his chest as he comes hard inside her, pulsing with the intensity. Mia groans at the feeling and reaches up to pull him down by his curls to let him rest against her chest.
The room is silent but for their heavy breathing until Barry lets out a breathy, “Wow.”
Darren and Mia chuckle from their position and Barry smiles, “That was awesome.” Mia comments, smiling at Barry over Darren’s shoulder but unwilling to move from her position.
Barry smiles, “Yeah. It was.” He says, before sighing, “I should probably…head out.”
“You don’t have to.” Darren says from where he’s lying against Mia.
Barry smiles, “I appreciate that but I need to get home. Thanks for tonight.”
“Thank YOU.” Mia emphasizes, “Anytime you want to…have some fun.”
Barry nods, “I’ll keep that in mind.” He says with a smile before getting up and grabbing his clothes. He’s quiet on his retreat and before long Mia and Darren are alone.
Mia pets through Darren’s hair as they lay in companionable silence, “Did that really just happen?” She asks.
“Did we really just have sex with the fastest man alive?” Darren mumbles, already mostly asleep, “Yeah, I think we did.”
Mia nods as she considers the ceiling, “Thought so.” She says simply before the pair fall asleep, curled around each other.

twice reacts! | s.o in cosplay
Anonymous said to multiphandomunnies: My name is Barry Allen, and I am the fastest man alive. To the outside world, I'm an ordinary forensic scientist, but secretly, with the help of my friends at S.T.A.R. Labs, I fight crime and find other meta-humans like me. I hunted the man who killed my mother, but in doing so, I opened up our world to new threats. And I am the only one fast enough to stop them. I am... The Flash! Twice reaction to see their s.o wearing a cosplay

four different headcanons: thad thawne!
 Headcanon A:  realistic
I love the idea that Malcolm Thawne was his favorite of his ancestors to study, and the one he looked up to the most. He was the first, and he felt he had a lot in common with him, and felt bad for him, since he was also having to deal with a Flash Family “twin”, but Barry “got the better of him”.
Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious
Not sure this is necessarily hilarious, but I like to think Thad actually made Craydl’s ‘Technoplasm’ himself specifically for the mission against Bart, and that the A.I. didn’t originally have a body it could go in to. Craydl instantly became attached to having a physical form and it became hard to get him to just speak through the computers unless he absolutely had to. He wished the kid had programmed him with more formes he could take though. The monster one is nice and intimidating and all, but it’s hard to get it through doors.
Of course, he could just download some new forms like part of him did with the Kon/Tim Frankenstein he created for himself, but that ended SO badly.
Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends
I’ve said this one before, but I realized a while back that the future Thad originally came from (and supposedly went back to) was actually destroyed before “Flash: Fastest Man Alive”, so I’m pretty sure the one from the Impulse comics died when that future was destroyed, and the one we see in Flash FMA is from the Threeboot Future.
Not sure if that’s really heart crushing considering his life ended up shitty either way, but hey, that’s a pretty sad revelation in its self.
Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.
Still really like the idea that he did confront President Thawne like the Impulse comics insinuated, but there is no WAY that’s canon at this point, or ever will be. Unless he went back to hunting Impulse of his own accord afterward.
